Overview
Fast food is largely enjoyed by people around the
world. This survey is conducted to find out which
fast food chains are popular in Vietnam in terms of
recognition and usage. We also wanted to find out
how people order fast food online.
The results was collected nation-wide among
nearly 600 males and females of the age 18-55 in
August 2020.

Recognition of fast food chains
KFC is the most recognized chain, followed by Lotteria and McDonald’s.

• Fast food chains are widely recognized. The most known fast food
brands are KFC, Lotteria and McDonald’s.
• KFC is used the most, followed by Lotteria and Pizza Hut.
• KFC is federated with delicious food image while Lotteria is
viewed as having convenient location and good for both family &
the youth. McDonald’s premium image is strong.
• ‘Good taste’, ‘Good location and ‘Good variety of choices’ are the
3 most important factors when selecting a fast food brand.
• 87% have ordered fast food online. Grab Food and Now are the
most used method to order fast food online.

  • 2. Overview Fast food is largely enjoyed by people around the world. This survey is conducted to find out which fast food chains are popular in Vietnam in terms of recognition and usage. We also wanted to find out how people order fast food online. The results was collected nation-wide among nearly 600 males and females of the age 18-55 in August 2020.

McDonald’s premium image is strong. • ‘Good taste’, ‘Good location and ‘Good variety of choices’ are the 3 most important factors when selecting a fast food brand. • 87% have ordered fast food online.
