2. Week 1
This week I focused on putting my videos into order and making sure I had enough
time to add the information that goes with the landmark. This didn’t take that long
because I wanted to show the main attraction first then its history then get to the
second landmark which would be the Minster to the fire, then to Clifford’s tower.
Getting the information I wanted on the screen without taking too much of my
video time took a little bit longer to get adjusted to because sometimes it felt like it
was longer than needed and then the other times, you could hardly read it before it
was off the screen. So after a couple redo's I think I found the perfect amount of
time for each fact that comes on the screen so people can relax and read it without
having to rewind the video constantly.
3. Week 2
This was my last week of production so I had to move on with finding music to go
with my video and also the clips to go with the Minster fire because I clearly
wouldn’t be able to get my own footage for that. At first I only found pictures of the
fire which I tried to make work at first by making them either zoom or move slightly
so that it made it feel alive rather than some out of place stock image just standing
there. Even when I tried to edit the photo to look alive, it still felt out of place
massively so I had to try and find footage again. I found a documentary on YouTube
about the fire that had lots of small footage on the fire and also firefighters working
on the fire. This was perfect because some of my facts were about what the
firefighters planned and did during the fire, so having footage to back up my facts
was really good and also fitted well into the video nicely. For the music I found a
non-copyright beat to go with the video which actually went well with the video
because it was a relaxed beat which worked with the video very well. It also joined
the video well because sometimes when the beat hits, the text with the facts pop
up at the same time so it looks in sync with the music and gives off a nice vibe
while watching the video.
