3. My research was mainly me asking the public what they would
thing of a film like mine or looking into other films
I felt I was good to look into other films because then we know
how really a story can develop in that amount of time and try and
best that.
Also I think audience feed back on serveries was a bonus then
we know what the viewer actually wants out of the movie. This
means that we under stand what our main viewers would be
expecting.
A down side was from my original “horror” idea that I did most
planning for I linked off from it and went down a more relatable
approach from my audiences reaction.
4. My planning certainly helped me understand what I could do in
the time period given that helped because it made me understand
how I was going to make sure the story make sense.
also the planning helped me understand what my main
objectives where of the production. This means when we where
filming I knew what I needed right away instead of guessing/
leaving it to chance.
5. I felt that my time management was streached out abit due to the
fact I had my filming quite late therefor only giving me 1 day to
edit the video. In saying that though I had a lot of time for pre-
planning.
Although by my evaluation everything is up to scratch and the
timing is back on track now.
The filming took about an hour although I shot extra scenes when
the acting crew left so I only used them when they where needed.
Therefor I wasn’t wasting time when they where here.
6. My work reminds me of The Worlds end in the way its slap stick
comedy and mainly about drinking. Although I feel like I should of put
some backing music in and extended the beer pong game. Just so
the movie seemed abit more entertaining.
This maybe because maybe I was so pushing the idea to keep the film
to 1 minute so much that I cut out so much that could of made it
entertaining although I still got the story across that I wanted.
What ill work on next time is mainly to make the film enjoyable to
watch as well as keeping key aspects (like story and time) but really
making sure it doesn't look like all theses shots where just thrown
together.
7. What I did for this was re-do the audio for the project by recording
some key audio before hand. This made sure that if the audio wasn’t
clear enough in the actual recording and add it in.
I recorded reactions too so in post I threw them in that may help the
viewer understand the feelings of the protagonists. Meaning that it
may flow better even though there is a lack of dialog.
What I may of changed is made the actors do the sounds after
recording so I could perfect it. And make sure that the sounds where
from the actors instead of just me.
8. What I did to help me edit was I made a full cut with all the shots I
wanted in the final product. And from there I cut it down to fit the criteria
of it being a minute. This was done by looking at what concepts of the
movie would need to be kept in to make sure the story made sense. So
I only kept the key shots that meant the story made since as well as
keeping it down to a minute.
Also adding in the the sound effects in post because this meant it it came
out so much clear than before taken from the mic of the camera.
What I would do next time is try and make sure that the story makes
sense from 1 minute and try and still make it make sense even 15
second long. Meaning that story should come 1st and hopefully
production can make sure that the story is strong enough to make an
understandable trailer for a film.
9. • I feel like that the shots I used show the story enough for the viewer
and is perfect for just getting the idea what the movies about. Giving the
vibe of the film and try for it to be relatable to some viewers.
• What I would of improved on is having the story bored along side when
filming I had the shot list at the ready although I missed out/ didn't’t
perfect some of the shots I had in vision even after shooting them 3
times. If I had this I would of helped me visualise what I wanted.
• Another thing I though was done well was the shooting of the beer pong
showed some progression in each character while playing beer pong.
With the watch shot showing the time progression.
10. What I did was try and appeal to the audience as much as I could with
the feed back I was given from the survey monkey responses. In doing
this this meant that the audience will hopefully like the show because
its to what they wanted.
Another thing I did to appeal was look into other 1 minute movies. This
ment that all the students in my class had and idea what to expect from
each others and had an idea how story go's. This meant we could look
at things we liked and keep to that to the story aspect we had. As well
as how to fit a story/ narrative into 1 minute.
12. What did you like about the product?
The pace is well balanced
Cleverly intertwined comedy
What improvements could have been made to the product?
The watch/clock was integrated poorly
13. What did you like about the product?
The story was easy to understand and follow
comedy was clearly shown and protrated correctly.
It was a nice story told in the time frame given.
What improvements could have been made to the product?
Cuts where quite fast meaning shots where just all over the place.
Music could have been added in just to make it abit more alive than it
is because it feeling abit dull without it.
14. What did you like about the product?
I liked the way that it was filmed, with lots of different types of
shots.
What improvements could have been made to the product?
You could of added in more sound effects.
15. What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
I agree with adding in more sound effects/ music because I felt like
that would of improved some of the blander/ boring shots.
I also agree because I thought the comedy was good for a minute the
slap stick side of it, I found the most effective. Because of the time
given it had to be fast.
What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
I felt like I could only do the fast shots where the only way I could
make the movie 1 minute long, therefor meaning I had to do so
hopefully next time ill have enough time to do the shots clearly and
maybe at a slower pace.
16. I felt like if I was going to use my feedback in the future id have to go
into them into more detail because my feed back was pretty basic
and not in much detail from the people I asked.
Although there intentions where clear enough for me to get what I
need to do next time is make sure that the production isn't so boring
that my audience don’t enjoy it. To make is work use survey monkey
before hand and even before I release the final product have people
review the edit before hand.
What ill do next production is make sure audience is with me every
step of the way to insure that the product is fit in a way that the
viewer making the product mainly do well for the people.
