2. Adolf Hitler Research Paper Outline
Research Paper on Adolf Hitler Have you ever heard the expression, You are a
product of your environment? Children learn how to speak from their parents by
mimicking them , walk and treat others in their family, neighborhood and
community. When children live with parents that show affection, concern, kindness
and patience, children can grow up feeling loved, respected and have self
confidence. Hitler s father was very rigid, mean, verbally and physically abusive to
him and his older brother. I think Hitlers childhood had a lot to do with how Adolf
Hitlerbecame the dictator that he was. Hitler was a man who was responsible for the
killing of approximately six million Jews in the Holocaust. However, he was also

At the start of grade school, Hitler s father, Alois, retired from his job at the
Austrian Civil Service. Hitler s environment at school was very stressful because
his teachers were very strict. His environment at home was also stressful. His
father was used to giving orders at work and having them obeyed and he did the
same thing at home. In addition, money was very scarce because there were five
people, his father, Alois, his mother, Maria, an older half brother, Alois Jr., a
younger brother, Edmund, a younger sister, Paula, and himself; all living on his
father s pension. His home life was also unstable and he was made to feel like an
outsider: 1) even though he had two parents, Alois was verbally and physically
abusive to Hitler s older brother, Alois Jr., practically ignoring Hitler, while his
mother was so focused on the younger children, she neglected the older ones and 2)
because money was scarce, they moved around frequently, so he changed schools
often while his living spaces got smaller. After his brother ran away at the age of 14,
Hitler s father turned his abusive behavior on Hitler with beatings and constantly

3. Five Reasons To Suspect You Have Leaky Pipes
5 Reasons to Suspect You Have Leaky Pipes
Leaky pipes are one of the most common threats homeowners face. In fact, leaky
pipes are one of the most common home insurance claims made year after year.
However, when it comes to water leaks, you don t have to be a sitting duck. Leaky
pipes don t happen in a vacuum. The following are five reasons to suspect you have
a leaky pipe. If you notice any one of these signs around your home, contact your
local plumber immediately and avoid water damage that can lead to insurance claims.
Reason #1. Mold and Mildew Signal Leaky Pipes
Bacteria are constantly in the air. If you add moisture and warm temperature to the
equation, then you have the perfect setting for mold and mildew. Finding mold

Barring increased water usage, if you notice an increase in your water bill, then it s
likely you have a leaky pipe. WaterSense, an EPA partner, estimates that fixing a
leaky pipe can save homeowners 10% on their water bill.
Reason #3. Water Stains Are Around Your Water Heater
If you rely on a water heater to heat your home, then you know how important it is to
your home. Tons of water flow through your water heater to your shower, tub, and
your kitchen sink. Although it s designed to handle a lot of water, your water heater
could begin to leak. If it does leak, you ll notice water stains around your water heater.
At the first sign of a leaky water heater, you must contact your plumber to minimize
the potential for damage.
Reason #4. Damage to Your Cabinetry Should Tip You Off
Many homeowners are guilty of stuffing cleaning supplies and other items underneath
sinks. In most homes, chemicals abound underneath both the kitchen sink and the
bathroom sink. Unfortunately, the congestion underneath the sink can lead to leaky
pipes. If you notice an odor once you open your cabinet or you notice the wood
inside your cabinet is warped, then you should suspect you have a water
4. Auburn Prison Essay
Connections between the Auburn system, the Great Depression, and the development
of parole
In 1819 the prison in New York, Auburn was opened which was design by its first
agent, it included a center of containing tiers of cell blocks. The Auburn system was
meant to divide the prisoners into three distinct categories: The problematic convicts
were isolated, the second class which were less difficult spent half of the day at
work in groups and the rest of the day isolated, and finally the third class were the
least guilty they (third class) operated (worked) together through the day and were
divided at nights as they (third class) would return to their spate cells. Though it is
questionable that the Auburn prison or others like it could result in much income, the
clue of convicts evolving skillsand a work ethic was common.

One motive for this is that bulk of institute has unbolted our idea of parole.

5. STEM Leadership Scholarship
(FULL DISCLOSURE: The attitude I display in this writing is purely for the sake
of exhibiting confidence in myself. Admittedly, I find it a little odd to be writing
some much boasting on myself, but if that s what it takes for this scholarship, I will.)
I am the prime candidate for this STEM Leadership scholarship for many reasons,
the greatest of which I would say is that I plan to study something at the heart of
STEM: cyber engineering. This major is the epitome of what STEM stands for;
technology is becoming more and more integrated into our daily lives and studying
this major will not only help me to stay up to date with the trends that will come
(and inevitably go), but will also give me the skills and knowledge to potentially
develop my own ideas into something that people can integrate into their everyday
lives. Studying this major also gives me the potential to bring my new knowledge
with me wherever I go and keep wherever I am in the current times. Now, I do not
by any means mean to belittle any of the other three fields in STEM because all ...

Anyone who knows me knows that I am not really one to get too worked up about
much unless it is something that I am truly passionate about. The thing that
maintains the greatest amount of passion in my life is my love for music. Before
moving to Pitkin three years ago, I was a part of my high school s marching band
and that gave me probably the greatest outlet I had ever experienced for my passion
for music. (My parents could attest to this because they would laugh that I always
got so into the music as we played it... needless to say, I loved it.) I believe that the
passion I am developing for working with computers and software can very easily
grow into something to the same magnitude as that as I have for music. This
scholarship would help fund that passion so that it can grow into a strong force in my
6. For Whom The Bell Tolls
The novel For Whom the Bell Tolls, written by Ernest Hemingway, is a story of
passionate love throughout the brutality of the Spanish Civil War. Hemingway
uses his personal experiences to portray the true meaning and feeling of this book.
Ernest Miller Hemingway was born on July 21, 1899 in Oak Park, a suburb of
Chicago, Illinois. The neighborhood he grew up in was straight laced and rigidly
Protestant. Hemingway started his literary career publishing his work in his school
magazine. Later on in life, he signed up to join the military in World War II, but was
rejected due to his defective left eye from birth. Instead, he enlisted in the Missouri
National Guard and remained on the lookout for opportunities to progress to the front.

Lastly, Hemingway s inner experience of love, as it is portrayed in his novels, is a
sense of basic trust and object constancy which could allow his hero to retain the
feeling of intense love even after the beloved object is lost. (#6 p.357). The love
between Robert Jordan and Maria is intense and passionate and it parallels the love
that Hemingway experienced. The genius style that Hemingway utilizes in this
novel truly enhances the richness of the superb story. The various themes in this
novel really give the story its depth and meaning. The theme of chaotic and brutal
warfare is by far the leading theme, as it is in many of Hemingway s novels. This
novel s version of this theme is the Spanish Civil War. Robert Jordan s mission of
this war is to demolish a bridge, which in the long run will help the Spanish
Republicans in their goal of defeating the Fascist government. In several of
Hemingway s novels, the protagonist is a character of heroism and honor. These
protagonists are tough, experienced in the hard worlds they inhabit, and not
obviously given to emotional display or sensitive thinking. Robert Jordan is this
type of protagonist and he is a humble, honorable man. There is Some notion of
honor that makes a man a man, and distinguishes him from people who merely
follow their random impulses and who are by consequence messy. (#3 p.40). An
example of this in the novel is

I read the book Uglies by Scott Westerfeld . The book Uglies is the first in its series
of science fiction novels. The series is based on the point of views of a dystopian
world and takes on a futuristic approach.
The Uglies take place 300 years into the future, where a new type of society has
been formed after a disastrous oil bug killed 98% of the human population. In this
new society, the government is very controlling and has a specific structure of life
that is followed strictly. The new society s government is called Special
Circumstances and it makes sure all citizens support and obey these three values:
one, sustainability, two, peace, and equality. In order to promote these values, all

All uglies really want to live the pretty life but her friend, another main character,
Shay, thinks otherwise. Shay is convinced that being pretty is not worth it and
shouldn t be done. Shay then tells Tally that the night before the surge, she is
going to leave the city to a place called the Smoke where uglies go to escape and
that if Tally ever wants to join her, she is leaving directions in a code only Tally
will understand. Tally doesn t follow as she believes being pretty is a good idea
and doesn t agree with Shay s thoughts about it. Shay escapes and Tally s turn to
become pretty is here. However, special circumstances find out that Shay ran away
and left the directions behind, so the give Tally a choice. The choice is to find
Shay and turn her in so Tally becomes pretty or Tally never turns pretty at all. Tally
then goes off on this journey to find and bring back Shay to become pretty . But
when Tally reaches the smoke she learns new secrets about the world she lives in
and her perception of what is right and wrong changes. So, Tally s ultimate choice is
either to stay in Smoke or go back and become pretty.
The author s main message in this book is to challenge our society s perception of
appearance and censorship. The author creates a world that allows people to have
greater control over their appearance and shows us a side of what people think beauty
8. Criticism And Classic Liberalism
Classic Liberalism
Liberalism has had many interpretations over the years, such as conservative
liberalism, national liberalism and neo liberalism. While classical liberalism
promotes ideas or individual freedom and democratic responsibility and focuses on
the human aspect of society, neo liberalism is in sharp contrast and focuses on the
economic side of society. While classic liberalism supports individualism it also
promotes equality which causes liberalism to be an constant political process where
policy is ever changing. Classical Liberalism is an philosophy and ideology that has
policies and central values which convey as equal opportunity and free market
society and it has a common sense view toward where government is required and
where individuals should have the freedom of choice.
Classical liberalism is designed to provide individuals the freedom of material
possession and intellect, or freedom. (Maclean Wood, 64). The ideas of every
individual having the inherent right to life, liberty and property is one that is
necessary in society and it is what give the population the ability to innovate and
take risks as the freedom of property provides financial and other incentives and
humans are seen to be by their nature economic and as having a natural tendency
toward trade and exchange (Maclean Wood, 67). These freedoms and natural
tendency s coupled with the freedom of opportunity provided in a classical Liberal
society are the building blocks of an

Risk
Risk is contemporary and continuous challenge in the world of finance. In general,
risk is understood as a situation where an uncertainty of desired results exists, as well
as the undesirable consequences. Risk is studied as a subject within several social
sciences and these include statistics, economics, financial management and insurance.
Examination of risk in each of these sciences has specific aspects that differ from
those in others.
Credit Risk
Risks faced by financial institutions (both conventional and Islamic financial
institutions) in the operations that they perform are of different nature and types:
exchange rate risk, trade risk (or market risk), political risks, risks that represent
changes in the value of assets and good, etc. Credit risk is deemed to be the most
significant type of risk which is faced by financial institutions and in their
relationship with the owners of wealth. Credit risk relates to the debtor s ability to
repay the debt at the specified time, and in accordance with the conditions stipulated
in the contract signed and agreed upon to. The debtor s inability to abide by his
obligations will lead to a loss, breach of contract and therefore will become a risk for
the institution.

11. Sacrificity And Spirituality InThe Butterfly Mosque, And...
In a spiritual journey, often times it is necessary to put oneself at risk. Physical,
emotional or psychological harm can easily befall someone on their travels from
Booth s Badland to Homeland. One s willingness to accept the burden of suffering,
begrudgingly or otherwise, resonates throughout the toils of a spiritual traveller in
many forms. Sacrificing oneself or aspects thereof in the pursuit or support of one
s spirituality often presents challenges unique to the journey itself; as Heraclitus of
Ephesus said, You could not step twice into the same river; for other waters are
ever flowing on to you. In The Butterfly Mosque by G. Willow Wilson and the film
Silence, directed by Martin Scorsese, we see two different perspectives on the notion
of self sacrificein search of spiritual growth and confirmation. While Willow Wilson
relinquishes everything she knows in search of a new world that may open her eyes
farther than the Western world ever could, the travels of SebastiГЈo Rodrigues begin
to strengthen his resolve in God, which would be dashed and battered against the
Kyushan shores. Both individuals will be shown to demonstrate the impact acts of
self sacrifice have on ones spirituality, for better or for worse; whether it is one s
intent to alter their entire system of belief or not, the costs that spirituality extolls
from a person can have a wide range of unintended effects. Faith can itself be subject
to sacrificial acts; in order to save something else, one might

A weekly Saturday morning farmer s market offers a vibrant taste of the rich local
heritage. In addition, the island s macadamia nut farm, coffee plantation, and kite
factory provide abundant opportunities to explore the island s unique character.
Dining options cover the full spectrum from inexpensive eateries to extravagant
gourmet feasts, complete with traditional native entertainment.
In addition to tourism, major industries on the island include fishing, farming, and
retail sales. With the collapse of the sugar and pineapple industries in the 1990s, the
island has moved to replace these once dominant industries with more diversified
aqua culture and agriculture.
Tropical Island is governed by an autonomous council. Residents elect a mayor, who

The island council, with current mayor Gil Egan as its representative, is responsible

Instead of Ginny and Regan being selfish, Larry is the bad guy, who does not learn

14. Arguments Against Gun Control Laws In The United States
Countless opinions have been broadcasted on national news media regarding what
society ought to do about gun control. This controversial topic sparks many heated
debates with people of either position reluctant to compromise. Gun supporters claim
that the proposed gun laws infringe on their constitutional right to bear arms.
Conversely, others believe that restricted gun access would cause gun violence to
decrease. Regardless of what side one stands on, with the increase in gun violence, it
is safe to say that something must be done. The Second Amendment to the United
States Constitution protects the right of the people to possess armaments for their

regards to United States history, gun regulations are not a recent motion. Indeed,
the first federal gun control law was the National Firearms Act of 1934. This law
required that all sales of firearms to be documented in the national registry.
Following the National Firearms Act of 1934, the Gun Control Act of 1968, the
first major gun control law in the United States, passed. This law prohibited certain
people from being able to purchase firearms including convicted felons, fugitives,
minors, individuals with a history of mental illness, dishonorable discharged
veterans, expatriates and illegal aliens (Riczo 2001). It also extended licensing
conditions to more gun merchants and required a more in depth record of sales. In
brief, the rules to acquire a firearm became stricter and the thought behind it was that
it would decrease crime. Nevertheless, with the increase in gun violence, it is not
certain that laws will prevent future

majority of them; in particular your argument regarding communication. I render
voluntary services in a non profit organization for many years; I have witnessed how

volunteers often are not acquainted of these changes until leaders announce the

For the Danish people he rid them of Grendel first, them his mother, and lastly the

heroic person still lives on through the lighthouse and his people. True heroes are
remember, not forced to be remember. People want to be reminded of him because
he did well for others not just himself. The Danes and Geats with never forget what
Beowulf did for them and others as long as his memories stay in the people. In this
specific quote by Isaac Disraeli he says that Beowulf is known far out for his
heroic traits in the poem, The second Beowulf, the hero of the poem, is first

assures the hero that the rewards of victory will be generous. (Henning,

By 1985, dodgeball was gaining popularity and respect as a real sport, not just a
children s game. Amateur dodgeball leagues had surfaced all across America and
there was some discussion of a professional league. The game had also become a
global phenomenon, and many Western countries also had leagues of some manner.
In 1996, the International Olympic Committee recognized DodgeBall as a serious
sport and the game was played for the first time internationally at the Olympic
Summer Games in Atlanta, Georgia. In the final game, the United States team faced
off against the Dutch team. Surprisingly, the team from the Netherlands won the gold
medal, and the young captain of the team, Willem Janssen, became an international
superstar and the new face of DodgeBall.
After that first Olympics, a DodgeBall World Cup was established. Every four
years, teams from around the world would compete to earn the title of World
Champion. The first World Cup was held in 1998 in France. It was sparsely attended
and moderately covered by the media. Even so, those involved

Stock Trak Investment Report
[Portfolio Investment Analysis]
Portfolio management is an important factor that determines the performance of the
portfolio. To perform well in the portfolio, it is not only essential to develop personal
investment strategies, but analyzing current financial trend is also vital. Stock Trak is
an online portfolio simulation that allows students to try out different investment
strategies, and also get a hand on experience in what the real market trading
conditions are. By managing the portfolio, I have acquired some new knowledge of
investment strategies and also become more familiar with the current market by

The weekly performance of IBM stock presented a contestant growth. One
highlight of the falling of stock price in the 6th week in the investment period was
when IBM presented the 3rd quarter financial report. The investors weren t
satisfied with the profit report which they expected to be better especially when
other IT companies were doing well in the 3rd quarter. One mistake I made was
that I didn t follow closely to the financial report of the company; therefore, I
missed the peak of the stock price. From this experience, I learned that financial
reports and current news are important indicators of the stock price. By following
closely to the current event and analyzing the financial report, investors can

June 14, 2015 FCBC Sermon #1504
Matthew 24:36 44 ONLY THE FATHER KNOWS The Day When Christ Will Return.
My grand kids are getting to the point where they love to play hide and seek. But
they really don t play it well. First, there is the issue of counting. It is difficult to be
patient enough to count to ten and there is the problem that if you don t know
2,3,4,5,6 go in the middle you get to ten really fast. And it s so fun to say Ready or
Not, Here I Come they want to just skip to that part. Then there is the ongoing
problem of where to hide which basically requires an understanding of the issue of
hiding. Curling up on the couch or the bed is not hiding, nor is standing behind the

Jesus is still answering the disciples questions asked in Matthew 24:3 As he sat on
the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when will
these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?
(Matthew 24:3, ESV) The setting is the Mount of Olives. The lessons are called the
Olivet Discourse. The longest answer Jesus gave to any line of questioning.
The first part of their question: When will these things be? relates to the
destruction of Jerusalem and the temple and is graphically described in verses 15
28. The second part of their question relates to knowing the sign of Christ s coming
and we looked at that last week in verses 29 35. And regarding the question of the
end of the age, the disciples are told they cannot know when the end of the age is in
verse 36. Only the Father knows.
Which brings a question to our minds? Does Jesus know now? John MacArthur
says: Although He was fully God as well as fully man (John 1:1, 14), Christ
voluntarily restricted His use of certain divine attributes when He became flesh. Who
though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be
23. Pros and Cons of Different Fields in Social Work
Earning my bachelor s in human services will lead into my career in the field of
social work. The field of social work is nothing new: Simon Patten coined the term
social workers in 1900 (Robert 1995). Literature on aspects of the field, how to get
involved in social work, and what type of work a social worker performs will be
included in my research. For the purpose of this review, I will focus my research on
current information, 2008 to current.
The major theme of my research includes looking at the positives and negatives of
different fields in social work. Another part of my research will include, how I will
earn my graduate degree once I graduate from ODU, along with the jobs outlook and
descriptions for each field. This is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A challenge of going onto get a master s degree is the cost. In some of my research I
found that 70% of social workers are in debt from school (Notabartolo, 2010). Job
growth for social work is expected to grow 16% by 2018 (Notabartolo, 2010), which
keeps me optimistic for finding a job and paying off my student loans. The average
salary for a social work ranges depending on what field of social work he or she is
working in. The fields that I will focus on earn an average of $50,000 annually
(Notabartolo, 2010).
Fields of Social Work I plan on pursing a career in the field of social work that
focuses on working with children. 16% out of the countries half million social
workers work in child services (Children and Families, 2014). A career in children
services will entail working one on one with families and helping solve their
issues. Social workers work with families who suffer with abuse, mental illness, and
physical illnesses (Mental health, 2011). According to the national association of
social workers website, children and family services jobs include: counseling
families, removing children from abusive homes and relocating them, teaching
families how to use the welfare system (Children and Families 2014). In order to
work with children a person needs to have compassion, patients, and understanding.
Those three skills are critical in order to make a difference in the lives of the
children in need. An article written by Phillip Dybicz talks
24. How To Write A Passage That Stood Out To Me
While reading Paideia 16 a passage that stood out to me was a quote in the beginning
of the chapter. I will use the rhetorical approach studying and practicing writing to
extend a more nuanced definition of revision. Rethinking revision using the
proofreading, as punishment, as busy work, or as unnecessary. More importantly,
however this approach relocates revision at the center of the writingprocess,
encouraging us to establish a different relationship with it. (Al Khateed, 73). This
passage stood out to me because revision is a big part of your essay. It s take time to
perfect an essay, no one will have a perfect essay right off the back. By doing

seeing your paper through a different perspective, a perspective of an audience and
not just an author. This passage makes me think of expansion and change, because

Japan was an isolationist before 1852 with very little contact to countries in the
western areas. Although later Japan would open its Shamoda ports to trade with
the Dutch. Part of this was because the United States threatened Japan to open the
ports for trade. The US also made Japan sighn unequal treaties to make Japan do
things. The Japanese were influenced by the US and did the same thing to Korea.
Although the Japanese only had contact to the outside for some years they had
grown a lot. The Japanese were scared, they were scared that the US would grow in
power and threat Japan more. In 1894 Chinese troops were sent to Korea to try to

Nanking in China . They went around torturing the families and causing pain to
everyone. They would burry civilians alive and throw kids in wells. Just like Hitler
the Japanese had camps were they would torture and starve people. In these camps
they would also force labor and had people working in the heat. In WW2 1942 the
Japanese attacked and bombed Australian boats in Singapore. The Australian boats
had 65 nurses except only 50 were able to swim away. In the battle versus the
Philippine the Philippines surrendered and the Japanese saw this as a weakness.
The Japanese later made the soldiers take a march known as the Bataan Death

Along with these the Japanese had other successful battles like the Battle of Midway,
Battle of Leyte Golf , and the Battle of Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

Another example is Thomas says Sounds like you all got a lot in common with

nobody thought was funny. That shows that not everything is a joke and could get
the people around him offended or mad. When the plane lands, Victor felt the need

32. Limitations Of Law Enforcement
In the United States of America, the work of law enforcement is hit hard with
various polices and limitations that can be good for the accused criminal, but bad
for the each of the citizens in the surrounding community that was affected by the
accused perpetrator. Even though there are lot of limitations on how law
enforcement does their work on a daily basis, there are two main limitations in
criminal law that stand out amongst the rest. These two concepts of criminal law
that affect the day to day operations of the law enforcement profession are known
as statute of limitations and ex post facto laws. Each of the factors associated with
these two concepts severely impact the work of law enforcement in some way
shape or form. The first concept that impacts the work of law enforcement is ex
post facto laws. Ex post facto is Latin for after the fact and is used to describe
regulations that criminalize a certain type of conduct that was legal when the conduct
was originally performed ( Ex Post Facto, 2007). Because of the United States
Constitution, these actions are prohibited from being used by the government. The
main reason why this protection is in effect in order to avoid having the government
spontaneously create laws just because they deem that the action was wrong in their
opinion. An example of this can be seen in a situation where a person hugs a friend
and the government spontaneously creates a law that hugging a friend is punishable
under law, police officers

Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Blithedale Romance and Maria Susanna Cummins The

of each other, both authors approached their writing through distinctive practices.
Hawthorne failed to show development in a majority of his characters while
Cummins novelis heavily loaded with positive character growth. After reading The
Blithedale Romance and The Lamplighter, one of the main differences noted was that
the development of characters, specifically female, showed the true writing of both
authors.

female sex. While Coverdale shows feminist qualities in his argument that women be

Henry Ford was a man of great importance because he revolutionized the assembly
line, created the Model T, and he is well known for his revolutionary vision, rather
than the profit made on his automobiles. Ford introduced the 5 dollar an hour wage
at the same time he perfected the assembly line. He was able to reduce the
assembly time of a Model T from 12 and a half hours to just 6 hours. Ford also made
the automobile cheaper by mass producing it with the assembly line. Henry Fordis an

as the automobile industry, electronics industry, and heavy equipment industry.

Every day since Ford made a cheaper automobile, the auto industry has changed in
the biggest way possible. The long term effects of this are that most people on the
earth today are driving an automobile. Ford has become a role model because he
changed the face of the auto industry by creating an automobile that most people
could afford, and wasn t seeking profit for it either.
People in the years following Ford s development of the affordable automobile
reacted by buying Ford s cheaper invention of the automobile. Rather than just the
rich driving the automobile, now most people were driving the automobile. People
rejoiced Ford s solution for the expensive automobile, even after they laughed at him
for developing the Quadricycle. People bought Ford s automobile so much that in
the blink of an eye, Ford already sold 20 million.
Ford wanted the automobile to be affordable to all, not just the rich, and if Ford
hadn t have take the stand, then the automobile may have just stayed in the grasp
of the elite. The automobile may have also been made affordable, but by another
person. If Ford hadn t have taken the stand, then automobile prices would probably

Imagine you are trapped on a deserted island with no adults. In William Golding s
book Lord of the Flies this group of boys had recently been in a plane crash and no
adults survived. They crashed into a random island with no resources, parents, or
even shelter. They had to learn to get along with one another and create a decent
civilization where they had a leader. The way they were able to accomplish this was
by having a shell that they would blow into to call everybody for a meeting. In Lord
of The Flies by William Golding, the conch changed from unity to disaster.
At the beginning of the story, the boys used the conch for power and unity. Piggy
is talking to Ralph and they are trying to find out who is on the island. What Piggy
said to Ralph was, We can use this to call the others. Have a meeting. They ll come

37. The Immigration Laws Should Be Repealed
Paolo S. Mutia
J. Richardson
AP Government 2nd Period
11 March 2015
Currently, one of most debated policy issues in America is immigration. Starting with
the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, the American government created several
immigration laws that sought to put an end to illegal immigration by mandating
workplace regulations, employer sanctions, internal enforcement mechanisms, and
border security (Nowrasteh 2). According to immigration policy analyst Alexander
Nowrasteh at the Center of Global Liberty and Prosperity of the Cato Institute, by the
1990s, legal immigration was essentially impossible to the United States unless the
immigrant was highly skilled, had a close American citizen or legal permanent
resident relative or friend who could sponsor him or her, or was a refugee. The
Arizona immigration laws should be repealed due to damage done to the state s
economy, the benefits of immigrants to the American economic structure, and the
societal harm imposed upon citizens.
Illegal immigration is an unintend¬ed result of federal immigration restric¬tions
from the shortage of green cards (permanent residence) and temporary work visas
available for migrants (Nowrasteh 2). Currently, 73% of the 11.5 million illegal
immigrants nationally are located in ten states, including Arizona (Nowrasteh 2).
Between 2000 and 2008, Arizona experienced a large increase of illegal immigrants
from 330,000 to 560,000 (Nowrasteh 2). The costs of the housing bust and the Great

39. The Negligence Of The Villain
Just as it is mandatory to have a hero, a fairy tale without a villain will create an
ineffective plot. The negligence of the villain s role/importance demonstrates our
society s ethics. The judgemental views of society, creates an impression that good
will always emerge as the victors. This is caused by the fact that individuals within
society has a different criteria of deciding what is good and what is evil. As a result
their minds are structured through pure bias. The so called heroes or villains are all
just dependent on an individual s ideal self. The influence of the real world, through
history or the present, help individuals create a dividing line between the principles
of good vs evil. This is evident through the misinterpretation of villains. Individuals
only see villains as vile individuals endeavoring towards an egocentric goal, created
by their malicious personality. The treatment of this character is prejudice, as their
stories are completely overshadowed by the heros beaming stature. If there isn t any
background information for the villains, how does the audience understand the
meanings behind their motives and intentions? Villains are more than just an obstacle
created for the plot, they re the necessary ingredient for a successful story. The
audience has to realize that villains have many similar attributes to heroes that can
benefit the outcome of the story. Villains have the potential to revolutionize the next
generation of fairytales. By

The United States, in the nineteenth century, had established themselves as
independent state, with gaining expansion of land, rights, and freedoms in the
western part of the world after succeeding from the British tyrannical rule. However,
the United States had been cogitating on whether a federalist view, a strong national
government limiting state s powers, or anti federalist view, opposing the constitution
and pushing for state s rights, should rule the government of the new independent

In June of 1776, the Declaration of Independence was both written and signed,
declaring that America would be free from the British rule after King George III
had abused their rights and freedoms, such as forcing the colonists to house British
troops and making the people respond to his laws, rather than the laws directed and
consented by the people themselves. Aftering the succession of the American
Revolution, the United States obtained expansion of political, economic, religious,
and cultural freedoms, for which with a strong national government, these
freedoms would be taken away with another tyrannical ruling (Writing). Jefferson
states, To take a simple step beyond the boundaries thus specially drawn around the
powers of the Congress is to take possession of boundless fields of power, no
longer susceptible of any definition (Document A). Jefferson explains that the
powers of Congress are boundless, and these limitless powers could be abused by
the highest levels of authority, like they had been by the King of England. He
followed the idea that the constitution should be read strictly, so the government
would not have too much power (Thomas). Alexander Hamilton s views of the
nineteenth century conflicted with those of Thomas Jefferson, as he explains, ...
and the laws of the United States made in pursuance of it, and all treaties made...
under their authority shall be the supreme law of the land. He believed that if the
power given to congress were harmful, they would not be given powers in the first
place. But, he failed to realize that a strong national government over the people is
what led to the position of the American society before the succession of the British
rule. Moreover, The Sedition Act of July

Throughout a Hindu renouncer s life, attending large scale religious events are
incredibly important. For some, it gives them a chance to market themselves to the
public and gather more followers. For others it s about the religious experience that
comes with the journey. Either way these events give renouncer a break from their
normal routine and they gather with other renouncers to share worldly views or
criticize each other s actions. The Kumbh Melaand Yatras are two of many large scale
religious events that renouncers utilize for personal and religious gain.
Every three years on a twelve year cycle, Hindus gather at the Ganges River for a
religious festival. The festival is called the Kumbh Mela, and it draws crowds of
over thirty million people at the banks of the Ganges. Everyone gathers in large
numbers because they believe that long ago, four drops from the nectar of
immortality spilled from a pitcher (kumbh) in the heavens while the Gods battled
demons in a twelve day fight. The drops of nectar fell in four locations around
India near the Ganges River. During this twelve year cycle, the nectar of

because studies have shown that people with poor control over their blood sugar
levels suffer from gum disease more easily and frequently and they are likely to lose
more teeth than people with good control over their blood sugar levels. Even children
