Reproduction In The Trail Of Life
Reproduction is critical when ensuring the survival of a species. As was mentioned in The Trails of
Life, an organism s main goal is to ensure that they pass along their genes to future generations. As it
is, the process of reproduction is a costly and sometimes dangerous feat. Nature provides a plethora of
issues that need to be overcome before an individual can successfully reproduce. Difficulties can, and
often do, arise in nearly every stage of reproduction. Organisms may have to battle inauspicious
environmental conditions, lack of resources, or physiological shortcomings, to name a few of the
nearly inexhaustive list of issues surrounding reproduction. Although problems with reproduction
exist, nature has evolved responses to cope with specific issues, allotting organisms with methods ...

In most cases species tend to reproduce under polygynous conditions where one male mates with
many females. An interesting example of a polygynous system in nature can be seen in the sea louse.
A male releases chemicals that attracts females, and as the females approach the male s nesting site, he
collects them and lines them in a row until he senses they are ready to mate. More mates equate to
more offspring, hence, this method for reproduction ensures that the male will pass his genes
throughout a population.
The most straight forward example of a rare monogamous mating relationship is often granted to
humans; however, in terms of other animal species, the albatross is a great example of this mating
system. Albatrosses mate for life, which is impressive being that many will live to be several decades
old. The albatrosses work together in raising their offspring. While one parent searches for food, the
other will remain with the chick often times undergoing near starvation in order to ensure the chick is

air raids, of which took thousands of lives and homes. Also across Asia, millions of people lived under

The operating deficit has decreased steadily from 1982 1985 from 711 to 162. At the current rate, we
can expect HIOB to begin operating at a surplus very soon if the correct decisions are made along the
way.
Philip Chin has a total marketing budget of $308,000, but after salaries, fees, and planned marketing
programs, only $54,000 remains for the discretionary marketing program. Evaluate each of the
following four marketing programs for criteria listed (one sentence for each criteria):

Analysis Of The Poem For Whom The Bellstone
The ideas presented in John Donne s poem For Whom the Bell Tolls, heavily contrast the ideas
presented in Paul Simon s song, I Am a Rock. John Donne demonstrates that we are all apart of
humanity and mankind and how all humans have a connection with one another. Paul Simon contrasts
this overall idea by demonstrating that people are sick of society and want to be isolated from
humanity. The information presented by John Donne and Paul Simon are unique, but have very
contrasting ideas as they pertain to humanity.
One clear contrast between the pieces of literature, are two specific lines. In Donne s poem, he states
No man is an island, while Simon states in his song that I am an island. The island represents the
isolation from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Simon uses several phrases to demonstrate the protection built to separate oneself from humanity. For
example, I ve built walls, a fortress deep and mighty that none my peneratre. A person can choose to
build a fortress where they can be safe from attack, safe from pain, and hence never need to shed any
tears. The room that is cozy as a womb becomes a tomb. The heart, given enough time, will become
hard and incapable of any feeling. Simon uses an individual who is hurt, to showcase the retreat to
safety. This is okay for a certain extent of time, but sadly, some stay inside. They hide in their fortress,
like a turtle drawn into its armored shell. John Donne contrasts this idea using the line A part of the
main, and implies everyone is together and how living in solitude is not living, but only existing.
John Donne s poem demonstrates we all have a role within the world, and our contributions are never
ignored, hence the last line, It tolls for thee, referencing funeral bells. The last line implies that the bell
rings for you, the reader, and how you are acknowledged as a human being and as a member of
society. Paul Simon s song contrasts this idea with the last four lines of the song, I am a rock, I am an
island, and a rock feels no pain, and an island never cries. The song is a declaration of an individual
who was not a rock, but needed people, and had been

Controversy Of Shakespeare
DeVere or Shakespeare?
Abstract: The debate over the legitimacy of the authorship of Shakespearean works has been disputed
for centuries. While many scholars have held beliefs that Shakespeare s works have been written by
figures such as Christopher Marlowe, Francis Bacon, William Stanley, and others, the most heated
debate today is between William Shakespeare and Edward DeVere, the Earl of Oxford. Each side of
this debate has many followers, the Stratfordians, or those who claim Shakespeare to be the true
author, and the Oxfordians who believe that true credit should go to DeVere. My paper, far from being
a complete analysis of the possibilities of Shakespearean authorship, attempts to summarize and
rationalize the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While the ideas of the true identity of Shakespeare have differed over the years in an almost trend like
fashion, a very popular idea has surfaced over the last century. The most prolific debate today is
between the Stratfordians, or those who claim Shakespeare to be the true author, and the Oxfordians,
those who claim Edward DeVere, Earl of Oxford, to be the true author.
The first question to ask in such a circumstance is why doubt exists. For instance, no scholars question
the works of writers and philosophers such as Montisqueu, Hobbes, or Locke. Why then, is there any
question as to who wrote Shakespeare? It would seem to most people that the name on the plays
should logically be the name of the author. Stratfordians claim exactly this fact as one of their
strongest arguments. The only problem with this seemingly simplistic argument lies in the spelling
differences between the man named Will Shakespere and the name written on the plays, William
Shakespeare (Whalen 8). In fact, the records of (Shakespere s) lifetime almost always spelled his
name Shakespere while the names on the plays were always spelled Shakespeare, about half the time
with a hyphen which generally denoted a made up name or pseudonym (Whalen 8). Such a slight
difference may seem insignificant, but for those who doubt authorship, this is a way of questioning the
very basis of Stratfordian claims that authorship is inarguable, and introducing the possibility of

The Impact Of Hiring A Crc On Patients, Physicians,...
A Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is a research professional working under the immediate
direction of a clinical Principal Investigator (PI). While the PI is primarily responsible for the overall
design, execution, and management of the clinical trial, the CRC supports, facilitates, and coordinates
the daily clinical activities and plays a crucial role in the conduct of a clinical study. This business
case will highlight the role of Clinical Research Coordinators and the impact hiring a CRC will have
on the success of a clinical trial. Results will be used to determine the viability and financial feasibility
for hiring a clinical research coordinator. The scope of this business case will highlight the impact of
hiring a CRC on patients, physicians, provider sites, and clinical trials. Decision makers will
understand the costs and benefits of CRC staffing and will use this guide in their hiring process.
2.2 Opportunity
The current market for clinical research trials is evolving towards increasing productivity in clinical
trials. There is a demand for cost effective, faster, and more efficient clinical trial processes. Clinician
and regulatory agencies are requiring more data from clinical trials, increasing the complexity of
clinical trials. Trends towards complex clinical trials have created a demand for increasing clinical
trial staffing. In addition, companies aiming for more successful clinical trials have had an impact on
staffing. Since 2008,

Stereotyping Is A Natural Instinct That Humans
Historically, humans have always been separated into groups based on appearance, whether that is
concerning body shape, the clothes we wear, or the color of our skin. Stereotyping is a natural instinct
that humans have because they feel the need to classify people in order to not feel threatened by them.
Humans feel an obligation to know and understand people but do not necessarily want to be associated
with them, thus they place people into specific groups, labeling them. One of the primary ways that
we stereotype people is by their race. Being a minority that has always been prejudiced against in
America, African Americans are often judged because of the way that they speak. Black students have
struggled in academic settings that use Standard English, such as in the common American classroom.
African American Vernacular English (AAVE) harms Black students through discrimination on
standardized tests and in classroom environments.
AAVE is a variation of what is commonly referred to as Standard English, and is predominantly
spoken by African American communities across the United States. Unlike many other variations of
English, AAVE is not regional so African Americans speak more or less the same way all across the
country. These sociolinguistic parallels are because African Americans are oriented to a sense of
ethnic solidarity and nation wide cohesiveness due to their extensive history of fighting in unity for
the same victories (Fought, 2003). The possibility that AAVE

Many networks are infrastructure less networks where the nodes can configure dynamically to form a
useful network. There are many challenges in wireless networks as explored in [1]. The challenges are
as follows. Wireless channel conditions are unpredictable and unreliable. As wireless medium is
shared, it may result in contention. There might be issues with hidden terminal problem. Route
maintenance and node mobility may cause issues. Energy constrained nature of the wireless networks.
Having no centralized control on the networks Due to the innovations in wireless technologies and
recent developments in electronic circuits, there is ever increasing trend in the usage of mobile devices
that are part of wireless networks. People of all lifestyles are using different kinds of mobile devices.
In this context, there has been increased research in the multimedia applications that run over wireless
networks. As the multimedia applications are resource intensive, they are to be used with certain
optimizations. The wireless networks are not optimized for such applications. The OSI model was also
not designed by keeping multimedia applications in mind. Therefore, individual layers of OSI model
can be optimized or jointly they can be optimized. The joint optimization is known as cross layer
design (CLD) approach. The cross layer design approach considers two or more layers to be improved
for different parameters. Each layer needs inputs from the application

Apple states that the iMac is made from materials such as aluminum and glass which can make the
computer more expensive because aluminum will cost more because of the price of the raw material
price is high as well and it is a lot stronger than steel, in addition it also gives the look of a luxurious
computer and if anyone has touched a iMac the aluminum body is just polished and smoothed this is
when the metal is being attached to the computer during production and creates a beautiful looking
computer. On the other hand, PCs can be made from different materials like plastic, traditional metal,
steel and brushed aluminum this can be a factor depending on the price of the computer. Just like the
iMac, Aluminum bodies can also be in sharp looking PCs and can go through the same processes that
the iMac goes through as well but it can be different depending on the company. Steel and traditional
metal can be found in medium quality computers where they just get. Finally, plastic builds
compromise the experience with the lack of good looking materials but can be budget friendly because
plastic is cheap to produce.

Essay on Mozart s Sonata k331
Mozart s Sonata k331
The first movement of Sonata K331 is comprised of a theme, six variations and a coda. The theme
comprises of 18 bars: four times four bar phrases with an extension tacked onto the end. Mozart
followed this strict binary theme but this does not mean that the music is at all predictable; he uses
different techniques to bring the best out of this form, as detailed later. The extension is an example of
Mozart surprising the listener and enhancing the journey to the end of the theme. Each of the groups
of four bars ends with a cadence. This is periodic phrasing, one of many signatures of galant musical
style (also known as Viennese classical music) that had its emphasis on ... Show more content on

This could be countered by contrasting the first movement to the radically different form later in the
piece and by pointing out that the use of the two bar extension was unusual and Mozart added this
primarily to avoid becoming too predictable.
A piece lacking in continuity may also have several ideas that may only appear for short periods in the
piece or not work well together. However, Mozart uses the same simple melodic ideas throughout this
movement that does provide continuity. He achieves this through using the melody within different
textures and not using much counterpoint at all.
Next is the question of tonal variety Mozart s use of chords and shape in the piece. There is a good
argument for the lack of tonal variety in the piece in the whole Andante only one type of chromatic
chord is used (in bar 12 of variations 1 4). Also, Mozart s reliance on the tonic and dominant chords is
evident; in the theme, over 75% of the chords are in the tonic (A major) or the dominant (E major).
However, as the variations progress, the listener can hear plenty of tonal structure to ward off
criticism. Right from the beginning of Variation 1 (bar 19) the theme is decorated in the right hand
with semi tonal appoggiaturas as well as contrasting semi quaver octaves in bar 23. There are many
tonal marks in the piece

Understanding The Lakota Sioux Tribe
Understanding the Lakota Sioux
I have chosen to conduct research and develop my project around the Native American group, the
Lakota Sioux. In particular, my focus will be on the role trauma plays in their culture. I chose The
Lakota Sioux because of the fact that they are from the area and surrounding area of where I live and I
have always had an interest in Native Americans. The Lakota people have suffered greatly due to
trauma brought on as a result of unjust events throughout their history. They were and continue to be
oppressed and I would like to better understand the injustices that they endured and continue to endure
and to discover strategies for helping this group.
The Lakota Indians are a tribal Native America group that resides in the northern part of the United
States. Although a large number of Indians have immersed themselves into American culture, several
tribal groups carry out their daily affairs on Indian reservations. The Lakota Indian s primary location
is in South Dakota and North Dakota. Native American s have been victims of historical trauma,
sometimes referred to as multi generational trauma. There is a sense of powerlessness and
hopelessness associated with historical trauma that contributes to high rates of alcoholism, substance
abuse, suicide, and other health issues (Birchfield, 2000). The Lakota Sioux is one such group that has
suffered greatly due to trauma. Lakota people are marginalized and stereotyped and live in poverty

Arguments Against The Death Penalty
Abstract
The death penalty has been a controversial issue for many years. Those who support the death penalty
find it to be a fitting form of punishment for criminal actions. Others suggest that the death penalty is
an inhumane practice, even towards criminals. Over the years, it is clear that there are some fatal flaws
in how the death penalty operates. Too often in the past has the death penalty fallen victim to
courtroom biases. Furthermore, the death penalty is an incredibly expensive and time consuming
process. However, the determining factor of whether the death penalty can be considered justice or not
depends primarily on how it affects the overall crime rate. In light of this, William Tucker the
American Spectator s New York correspondent and CEO of TheElevator.com and Eric M. Freedman a
professor at Hofstra University School of Law present evidence of the effectiveness and
ineffectiveness of the death penalty system.
The Value of a Criminal Life The controversy over the death penalty has plagued the world for years.

This is setting up the atmosphere of where Winston is living in and how everything is caught up

Fear Of The Unknown Has Been A Constant Thread Intricately
Fear of the unknown has been a constant thread intricately interwoven throughout the tapestry of my
life. Although intricate in color and vast in depth, it has furrowed a chasm in my past, present and dare
I say future. As a seminarian on the verge of graduation the prior statement may appear somewhat
odd. Aptly applying a biblical scripture such as God has not given us the spirit of fear, but power, love
and a sound mind , should suffice to calm anxiety and trepidation. However, I have not found this the
case. With greater scrutiny, I ponder what are the next steps in my life and what are my expectations
for ministry? For the immediate future, I desire rest to regain a sense of peace and spiritual renewal.

My pastor, who served as my site supervisor was supportive of my interning at church, although there
were occasions where we differed on matters of best methods to fulfill ministerial obligations. He
strongly affirms that nothing comes before God. Unfortunately, this includes all obligations outside of
the church, i.e. family, work, and school. Vacation may be permissible, but not time off to attend to
matters outside of church. On one occasion, my place in the leadership training course was at stake
due to my seeking time away to handle school deadlines that were steadily approaching. This caused
great angst for all parties concerned, which was very disconcerting for me. The reasoning for taking
such a hard stance is primarily due to this course being the first leadership training class held at the
church, taught by the pastor. He wants to see a return on his investment of time and resources.
Although, I do understand the importance of dedication and commitment, equally vital is the necessity

How Organizations are Changing in the World Today
The natural forces that bring companies together are dissipating in the communications and
information technologies industries. Core competencies that form much of the force of economies of
scope are becoming increasingly narrowed and specialized, leading us to industry fragmentation in the
information revolution contrasting against the industry consolidation that accompanied the industrial
revolution. If we look behind the curtain of public policy dressed in its diverse laws and regulations,
we see less rather than more gravity drawing the communications industry into operational or
financial consolidation. Neither vertical nor horizontal integration of communications related
businesses appears compellingly natural. The rate of technological advancements (and apparent lack
of economies of scale that such behemoths as Bell Labs once enjoyed) allows industry giants to be
toppled at unprecedented rates. Instead we see a growing value in cooperatively developed integrative
standards that will marry such distant cousins as content to conduit, computing to transportation,
appliance functionality to communications.
Thus, consolidation of firms has greater value in its portfolio effect than in economies of scope and
scale (the uncertainty of just which information and communications products will be successful
carries risks that can be mitigated by having a portfolio of such products). The present rate of
technological change in the information and communications industries also

The Work and Training of Barristers and Solicitors Essay...
The Work and Training of Barristers and Solicitors In the Western world, where the majority of
employment occurs in the service sector, rather than the primary sector as it does in the developing
world, there are certain jobs that carry a very high status. Careers such as doctor, accountant and
lawyer are to name but a few of these high status jobs and it is lawyers that I am going to be focussing
on in this essay. In England, since the 15th century lawyers have been split up into two professions,
barristers solicitors. Solicitors have traditionally been the people who research cases and barristers

Jamestown Vs Plymouth Plantation Essay
The Jamestown and Plymouth Plantation were big acts to our history today. Both plantations were
similar and different in many ways. Jamestown was uniquely harsh, and I could somewhat say the
same about the Plymouth plantation as well. In a matter of fact, the Jamestown and Plymouth
plantation caused a ruckus in their towns/state, enough ruckus to maintain it s name and strength of
time. Starting with Jamestown, it was a scarce plantation. Sailors got what they called better paid due
to the ships staying for a longer. They weren t paid in money, but they were paid with bread, which
was a good item to sell, barter, and love etc. There was something established called the surprise
attack. This attack included Smith unexpectedly returning, the Spaniard greedily desiring gold, and
Smith gets shot in the thigh. Jamestown s plantation was violent, and deceiving. Leading to the
Plymouth Plantation, although the ships were very compact, they had an abundance of things
accomplished. There were a lot of sicknesses and cursing. They were very religious with their beliefs.
For example, they were against cursing, indecisive manners and such. Their sails were very calm and

The Conservation Of Coagulation Factor V
Rob Markowitz NSA
The Conservation of Coagulation Factor V Protein, and its Role in Factor V Leiden Thrombophilia
Introduction: The cascade which must occur for blood to successfully clot is complex, multivariable,
and fraught with opportunities to go awry. The coagulation process requires the organization of
platelets, enzymes, cofactors, and fibrin to develop a protective covering when blood vessels become
injured to prevent loss of blood and prohibit infection.1 While some pathologies related to clotting are
a result of age, environment, or lifestyle, the most common cause of thrombophilia, an increased
propensity to form blood clots in the vessels, is an inherited genetic mutation known as Factor V
Leiden ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is interesting to note that even with such an elevated risk, only roughly a tenth of those carrying the
mutation will have a thrombotic event which leaves room to investigate the influence of other factors
both endogenous and external.4 To this end, it is necessary to better understand the coagulation factor
V protein, including it s conservation among organisms to determine a suitable model in which to
study, and in the future develop therapeutic interventions. Additionally, coagulation factor V protein
presents an excellent opportunity to build upon a solid base of knowledge in regards to how organisms
have evolved blood clotting functions. Given how fundamental the protein s function is and blood
clotting as a whole is, it serves as a valuable tool to probe the development of similar systems in other
organisms, and assess which divergent proteins may have shared a common ancestral path.
Methods:
To fully understand the role of coagulation factor V protein, a review of the medical and scientific
literature was conducted utilizing PubMed5. This was necessary to understand the implications of the
mutated protein in the development of factor V Leiden thrombophilia, as well as its function as part of
the cascade when the wild type gene is present. Search terms used were Factor V

Review Of The Fall Of Constantinople Essay
Jeffery Jacob World History [Teacher name here] December 21st, 2016 The Fall of Constantinople
Byzantium was one of the many Greek city states that stratled along the coasts of the Aegean Sea. As
an abundant source of Grains, fish, and trade, she played a pivotal role as a landing for Darius colossal
army against the Greeks; a battleground between Athens and Sparta during the Pelloponessian war;
and a prized tributary under Roman supervision. The Roman Emperor, Constantine I, renamed the city
after himself and the newly christened Constantinople grew to eclipse Rome as the greatest Capital of
Europe. Even after the continent was plunged into the so called Dark Ages ; protected by the
indominable Theodosian Wall, The Queen of Cities , as the Greek speaking Byzantines called her,
retained her position as the most prestine City of the early Middle Ages. And became the seat of power
for the great Basilieis, Greek plural for Emperors, and the venerated Patriarchs of the Eastern
Orthodox Church. Yet the middle ages made life more turbulant for the aged Byzantine Empire as it
lost vast swathes of land to the surging Muslim Caliphate; struggled with internal corruption
throughout its lifetime; clung desperately to its commercial power in the face of competition from
merchant republics such as Genoa and Venice; and embroiled itself into several centuries of conflicts
with the Turks over control of Anatolia, modern day Turkey. However, its Religious influence grew

By adding lightweight items such as straws and napkins, it was able to cube out the loads and bring an
end to the shipping of air. The third source of innovation for IPC and Subway lay in the production
and shipping of bread. Rapid growth in the number of stores was putting a strain on the old system,
with bakeries running at 110 percent capacity in the summer months. IPC knew it had to add bread
plants; the only question was where. Working with C.H. Robinson, the company analyzed the location
of its current plants and DCs, devising multiple what if scenarios to come up with the most efficient
network and lowest landed cost. One new bread plant in Tolleson, Ariz., operated by Southwest
Baking, deployed state of the art, fully automated systems to allow for increased production and
greater flexibility in volumes. Other facilities were built in Austin, Tex., Columbia, S.C. and Centralia,
Wash. The new network, with plants closer to the source, allowed Subway s vendors to double the
efficiency of bread line capacity while improving product quality, Clabby says. IPC and C.H.
Robinson reevaluate the bread sourcing plan each year, taking into account changes in manufacturing
costs, bakery capacity, volume commitments, market demand and cost per case. IPC works closely
with Subway s marketing and product development managers to support new demand. The $5 foot

manual is the fact that it provides not only a hardcopy of the manual but also a compact disc (CD). On
the CD, the customer has the ability to get a translated version of the manual. When I bought the bike,
TREK authorized dealer, provided me with a physical copy which was solidly in English which is not
a problem for me but customers in other regions of the United States or other parts of the world may
need a translated manual in order to understand it. With the CD, English as second language
customers have the same ability as I do to understand the manual rather than having to go to
translators or translating websites. So TREK does not really have a specific range of customers they
are targeting but if you speak other languages than those on the website would be problem but they
still have the ability to link the manual on the CD to the company website in order to check for other
languages TREK may have translated into. After reading majority of the manual, I can conclude that
the manual basically meets all the requirement of the excellence in technical documents. The manual

The Evolution Of Public Relations
Introduction:
Public relations has always be present throughout history however over the years, it had different
names. Public relations is also known as integrated communication, corporate communication and
strategic communication. Public relations is such a natural and vast field that it does not have a precise
founder, founding date or nationality (Newsom, 2013). It has been found that in order to understand
properly the PR theory, one should look at the evolution of public relations throughout history. The
reason being that in order to analyse why some campaigns are more successful than others, it is
elemental to analyse how PR was practiced at ancient times. (The Origins Of Public Relations, 2011)

Government Censorship
Should governments be allowed to censor information?
Censorship has always been a controversial topic. People will always want to know the truth. The
more democratic a nation is the more information is available. In these cases governments will usually
try to moderate what information is being circulated. By definition censorship is legally defined in
Australia as the official inspection of books, journals, theatre, film, music and popular media of many
forms before release (prepublication) to ensure that they do not offend against legal proscriptions
instituted by governments (Moore, 2013). In this essay censorship will take a broader term in which it
will also encompass instances of when governments try to provide incentives of getting rid of
information, omitting or restricting access to it through other means. Many people experience
censorship whether they know it or not and it is always debated if governments should be able to
censor information. There are a lot of cases where censorship should be allowed and cases where it
should not be. This essay will highlight instances and circumstances of when a government should be
able to censor information.
Censorship should be allowed in cases that involve instances where it is to protect the public or the
nation. Information that harms the security of a country should be protected and not made available to
the public. Under this circumstance though the government should be ethical about the information

How Greek And Roman Culture Changed Over Time Essay
Greek and Roman archeology changed over time in regards to how individuals were recognized. The
political state of the regions within both cultures altered the representation of individuals. Greek ideals
about representing people and members of society The Greek idea of the personal and the political
evolved from an ideal glorying the city, less than the individual to highlighting the strength of the
individuals. Athens is the best source of evidence in terms of archaeological and literary to identify
how the societies were shaped. Athens was a place of democracy so during this time, the main ideal
was that the city had more importance then the self, so most of the architecture demonstrated unity.

Both the Greeks and Romans admired Alexander the Great. The Greeks had busts and portraits of
Alexander. The Romans also very much so revered Alexander and his military success and had many

similar highlight of ruler s power that was evident in Roman art. This is similar to in class, how we
saw that often the leaders were represented in art to be related to gods and god like to give their
presence even more power. I find it quite interesting of how the Greeks in the early time prided on the
civic presence more then the individual, which actually highlights their selfness nature. This change in
art form is important for architecture as it shows the influence politics on the value of the self in
society and the civic duty associated during that specific culture. This ties into today s society and
shows political influence on art and culture. In North Korea, Kim Jong Un, values art that highlights
himself and his families omnipotence, as he is the leader of the country. However, in America, the
street art, or even abstract art is more towards a culture and showcasing individualistic talent. Politics
in the past or present, influences culture in many ways but most importantly it changes the way people

Zoroastrianism
The Arab world is now dominated by one strong and fierce religion. But, during the dynasties of such
nobles as the Achaemenids, a truly noble and proud religion appeared;
Zoroastrianism. The word of this religion was brought to the world by the Persian prophet Zoroaster.
The origins of the religion and the beliefs of Zoroastrianism were and still are the cornerstone of the
religion. During time, the religion depleted in size because of Mohammed, who introduced and
brought the faith of Islam into the world.

From 226 641 AD, Persia was finally back under Persian rule with the Sassanids. During this time,
Zoroastrianism grew rapidly and was the most powerful religion in Persia. Eventually under the
Sassanids, who were of Zoroastrian belief, made
Zoroastrianism the official state religion. This meant that everyone was now of this belief since that a

another religion, Islam. During the
7th century, Persia was slowly converted to the faith of Islam by the Arabs. Because of this, people of
this religion were not safe in a dominate Islam society and most were faced with another dilemma,
death. The Islamic people converted the Zoroastrian people with force. However, Zoroastrian still

Why Is The Word Important Essay
Important; One of the many words that could mean everything. The meaning of that word means
differently according to kinds of people. Tracing the origin of the word would give us an idea on how
importance means when the word was first used, in other words, how the people in the Medieval times
defined the word. It will then be compared to how the word important means nowadays to see what
made the meaning change. Personal experience also contributes to how people define importance. If
you are going to ask me, I would say that a thing is important if it really is needed or essentially
necessary for us to live/survive in our lifetime.
According to Dictionary.com (n.d.), the word important is a stem from the Medieval Latin (1580 90)
word importāns, presentparticiple [sic] of importāre, to be of consequence, weigh. You could say in
other words that it means that it is being of significance or being of distinction. Based from the word s

ASHP Guidelines On Preventing Medication Errors In Hospitals

the business or processes works). As a pharmacist s assistant in the HMO s pharmacy, Ben must create
a process approach on how improvements can be made in prescription accuracy. Fingers are being

Another problem that might occur at the doctor s office the doctor might misunderstands the patients
concerns or symptoms and misdiagnose the patient. Sometimes accidents might occur and the patient
might not get well and goes back to see the doctor and the doctor to correct their mistake. When

appropriate and correct statistical thinking required to apply the statistician s finding for improving the
prescription process by the pharmacist in this process is lacking and that is the root problem for the
prescription issue in this process. Another problem that ties in with this problem is the doctor

Deteriorating Roof
Eight Warning Signs of a Deteriorating Roof
Your home s roof protects you, your family, and your entire house from nature s elements. Like
anything else, a roof requires regular care and maintenance in order to function properly and last as
long as possible. But wear and tear is inevitable, and even the best constructed roof will wear out
eventually.
How Often To Inspect
Roof damage can be minimized through regular interior and exterior inspections to detect any minor
problems. Homeowners should complete a roof inspection at least two times a year spring and fall. It
also is a good idea to check your roof after a bad wind storm or an unusually harsh winter storm. High
winds can damage shingles, and large ice buildups can damage flashing and the roof ... Show more

Blistering Shingles
When moisture or gas builds up inside of a shingle, it can cause the surface to bubble outward, known
as blistering. Conditions that cause blistering can include a poorly ventilated attic, leaf or debris
buildup, or just natural roof aging. Intense sunlight exposure also can cause worsen a blistering
problem.
5. Damaged Flashing
Flashing is a layer of metal sheeting installed at an angle or joint in your roof which prevents water
from breaching the roof. The most common place to find flashing is around your chimney or sewer
vent pipe. Asphalt roof shingles require step flashing, which are individual pieces of flashing covering
each shingle and overlapping onto the shingle down slope. By using an individual piece of flashing for
each shingle or row of shingles, a water tight seal can be maintained over time, despite normal shingle
expansion and contraction from temperature swings.
6. Rotting
If your roof is rotting, the problem should be fairly obvious and must be addressed immediately. If
some shingles are rotting, the rest could follow soon. Rather than wasting time, energy and money
replacing many individual shingles, you should bite the bullet and replace them all.
7. Shoddy

What Is The Relationship Between The Creator And The...
May Shelley crafted one of the most renowned novels of the Romantic era and gave birth the genre of
science fiction. Shelley s Frankenstein displays many themes, but none is more significant than that of
the relationship between the creator and the created. This relationship is undoubtedly complex. Victor
Frankenstein s sentiments towards his creation vary from pure intrigue as he begins to build the eight
foot tall man to utter disdain towards him as the beast begins to push back against him. Moreover, the
creation receives no nurturing from the one that brought him to life, thus turning his back on his
creator. This dynamic comes in sharp contrast to that of the Puritans during the time of William
Bradford. Victor Frankenstein s creation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is overwhelmed with these emotions and the only way to release the anger is to bring death to the
loved ones of Frankenstein. The monster is deprived of any sort of love from the very beginning of his
life; thus, he will make it his goal to replicate this feeling for Victor. The beast does succeed in
bringing terror into the life of Victor with the murders of William, Justine, Henry, and Elizabeth. This
active desire to harm your creator is something unique about the relationship between the creator and
created in Frankenstein. William Bradford and his fellow Puritan Separatists fled their native country
in the pursuit of religious freedom. They believed that God was imploring them to escape the
persecution in England and they made it their chief goal to follow his will. When discussing the
reasons for why the Puritans departed Holland after about a year s stay Bradford writes, A great hope
and inward zeal they had to laying some good foundation, or at least to make some way thereunto, for
the propagating and advancing the gospel of the Kingdom of Christ in those remote parts of the world;
yea, though they should be but even as stepping stones unto others for performing of so great work

Chinese Culture Of Hong Kong
From the historical aspect, the society of Hong Kong inherited characteristic from the British colonial
era but still the influence of China is heavy. Hong Kong has a closely connection with mainland China
due to geographical proximity and 95% Chinese immigrants with of its population help to maintain
the identity among Chinese in Hong Kong, despite they tend to blend of both oriental and Western
elements(Tsu, 2014).
Although the British colonial government in Hong Kong did not have any intention to fade Chinese
identity, the colonial education system did not cover much about contemporary China(Luk, 1991) .
Due to the gap in ideological and material conditions between Hong Kong and mainland China, the
perception on identity and issues of nationalism/patriotism between many Hong Kong s Chinese
people and the Chinese government are different (Tsu, 2014).
Conflict in Social system
Apart from that, a far more mature and sophisticated social system create Hong Kong s civil society,
therefore when related to ideological conflict with real damage, Hong Kong performance its
significant difference between the mainland China and therefore its opposition and response to the
social unrest after Hong Kong 1967 Left wing riots (Ye, 2015).

among Hong Kong people. Yet, freedom of speech and journalism in Hong Kong means resident not

Quantitative Method
Preliminary Study Title: Description of the local problem. (The local problem that prompted the study
is clearly defined and is discussed in terms of the local setting and the larger population or education
situation): The local problem is the learning disabilities of students in Grade Eleven at a private San
Juan School that prevent them from performing at their expected SAT reading level. The Education
Testing Service s Secondary Level English Proficiency Test (Educational Testing Service, 2008),
expects students to have a demonstrated adequate level of Literal Comprehension and Inferential
Comprehension (New Hampshire Parent s Information Reading Center, n.d.). Literal Comprehension
means understanding the factual information within test; Inferential Comprehension means
understanding the relationship between the reader s personal experience and the text (New Hampshire
Parent s Information Reading Center, n.d.). As it stands, these students lack fundamental reading skills
according to a nationally recognized standard and are quite possibly ill prepared for higher education
or other post school life. In addition, students in grades 9, 10 and 12 might also be deficient in reading
comprehension, which will harm them in school and in their lives beyond school. DEAR

Physics Of A Roller Coaster Essay
Have you ever looked closely at a roller coaster, though? Did you realize it doesn t have an engine?
Have you ever stopped to WONDER how a roller coaster operates at such high speeds without one?
Let s take a look at the scientific principles and forces behind the thrills of the roller coaster.
Since roller coasters don t have engines, they must be pulled by a motorized chain to the top of the
first big hill. As the roller coaster rises higher and higher into the air, its potential energy keeps
growing until it reaches its maximum potential energy at the crest of the hill.
Potential energy is sometimes known as positional energy. Potential energy represents the amount of
work the roller coaster will be able to do with the energy it builds up from falling down the other side
of the hill. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It s the same reason you fall down when you trip. Or why a ball hits the ground when you drop it.
What are we talking about? Gravity, of course!
When a roller coaster crests the first big hill, gravity takes over, causing the roller coaster to fall down
at a constant rate of 9.8 meters per second squared. All that stored potential energy changes to kinetic
energy, which can also be thought of as moving energy.
As the roller coaster falls, it accelerates and builds up enough kinetic energy to propel it through the
remainder of the ride. No engine is required because of inertia. Inertia is one of the laws of physics
described long ago by Sir Isaac Newton. The law of inertia holds that an object in motion will stay in
motion until acted upon by an equal but opposite force.
In the case of a roller coaster, this means that the kinetic energy built up from the fall down the first
hill could keep it going forever. We all know, though, that roller coaster rides don t last forever. That s
because the roller coaster loses energy to other forces as it does loop the loops, curves, and other hills
along the

Oppression Within The Social Workers
Social workers are often on the forefront in the fight against any form of oppression as against the
marginalized society. These demanding but oftentimes unappreciated efforts are often addressed
through the conscious use of skills and knowledge of the problems being solved against. When such
oppression is however committed against them within the organization where they work, the social
worker seems to be mum about the situation, or their efforts perhaps are rendered inutile. North
America social workers experience this form of oppression within the social service institution. For
this reason, I examine the arguments why the social workers need to be aware of the existence of this
unique form of oppression. In order to eliminate oppression in the social welfare workplace, the social
workers, in their pursuit of social change, must have a competent understanding of the theory around
racism and oppression. Racism, as a social construct, historically and generally creates a
generalization based on the culture, ethnicity, or any objective attributes of a person. Oppression,
which is a modern category of racism, is the use of any form of power to dis empower, marginalize,
silence, or otherwise subordinate one social group, usually to further empower and/or privilege the
oppressor. Although oppression can be defined as a concept, creating a clear definition of what
constitutes anti oppression becomes a challenge even though much as been discussed about it. Much
of it has to do

Abstract
The researchers thought of trying to come up with a makeshift solar cooker in order to test if this way
of cooking may be effective and useful in substituting for a frying pan and a stove. The solar cooker
may be a possible alternative when cooking outdoors under the heat of the sun. It could also be a huge
energy saver and a safer way of cooking, avoiding hazards such as burns. The researchers have picked
the safest and easiest procedure and materials in making a solar cooker so that teenagers or even ...

Rationale * The researchers arrived at this kind of problem stumbling upon the topic of solar power
and how much heat the sun s rays can produce. * The researchers, as a group think that this is of big
significance since global warming is indeed a serious problem in the world, in line with this, usage of
energy is one of the factors that concerns this, and as students, investigating on this may be a way of
helping out. They also thought that this would be a fun and innovative experience especially since this
is not something you see or do every day. * PROBLEM: Can we cook food by using a mirror and
sunlight? * HYPOTHESIS: * H1: If heat is produced once the sun s rays are reflected through the
mirror to the food attempted to be cooked, then we can cook food using a mirror and sunlight. * H2: If
the heat coming from the sun is not enough as compared to the heat coming from the gas range or
electric stove, then we cannot cook food using only a mirror and sunlight. * OBJECTIVES OF THE
STUDY: * The researchers main objective is to be able to come up with a successful investigation and

regarding questions they may have whether medical related or regarding the practice itself. In addition
to social media, more traditional forms of marketing, such as television, radio, and billboards, will be
used to further stay ahead of the competition. To remain competitive the practice has to have the right
employees to supplement the work of the physician; therefore, recruiting talented individuals is
imperative. The best way to recruit individuals is to highlight the vision of the practice and show that
the practice offers individuals the chance for career growth. To highlight the practice s vision, the
practice should engage in community outreach programs. For example, the practice can offer a free
clinic a few times a year, where people in the community can come and get a free medical
consultation. This not only attracts new patients but also can be used to attract new employees that
share the same vision.

  • 3. Reproduction In The Trail Of Life Reproduction is critical when ensuring the survival of a species. As was mentioned in The Trails of Life, an organism s main goal is to ensure that they pass along their genes to future generations. As it is, the process of reproduction is a costly and sometimes dangerous feat. Nature provides a plethora of issues that need to be overcome before an individual can successfully reproduce. Difficulties can, and often do, arise in nearly every stage of reproduction. Organisms may have to battle inauspicious environmental conditions, lack of resources, or physiological shortcomings, to name a few of the nearly inexhaustive list of issues surrounding reproduction. Although problems with reproduction exist, nature has evolved responses to cope with specific issues, allotting organisms with methods ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In most cases species tend to reproduce under polygynous conditions where one male mates with many females. An interesting example of a polygynous system in nature can be seen in the sea louse. A male releases chemicals that attracts females, and as the females approach the male s nesting site, he collects them and lines them in a row until he senses they are ready to mate. More mates equate to more offspring, hence, this method for reproduction ensures that the male will pass his genes throughout a population. The most straight forward example of a rare monogamous mating relationship is often granted to humans; however, in terms of other animal species, the albatross is a great example of this mating system. Albatrosses mate for life, which is impressive being that many will live to be several decades old. The albatrosses work together in raising their offspring. While one parent searches for food, the other will remain with the chick often times undergoing near starvation in order to ensure the chick is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Analysis Of The Poem For Whom The Bellstone The ideas presented in John Donne s poem For Whom the Bell Tolls, heavily contrast the ideas presented in Paul Simon s song, I Am a Rock. John Donne demonstrates that we are all apart of humanity and mankind and how all humans have a connection with one another. Paul Simon contrasts this overall idea by demonstrating that people are sick of society and want to be isolated from humanity. The information presented by John Donne and Paul Simon are unique, but have very contrasting ideas as they pertain to humanity. One clear contrast between the pieces of literature, are two specific lines. In Donne s poem, he states No man is an island, while Simon states in his song that I am an island. For example, I ve built walls, a fortress deep and mighty that none my peneratre. A person can choose to build a fortress where they can be safe from attack, safe from pain, and hence never need to shed any tears. The room that is cozy as a womb becomes a tomb. The heart, given enough time, will become hard and incapable of any feeling. Simon uses an individual who is hurt, to showcase the retreat to safety. This is okay for a certain extent of time, but sadly, some stay inside. They hide in their fortress, like a turtle drawn into its armored shell. John Donne contrasts this idea using the line A part of the main, and implies everyone is together and how living in solitude is not living, but only existing. John Donne s poem demonstrates we all have a role within the world, and our contributions are never ignored, hence the last line, It tolls for thee, referencing funeral bells. The last line implies that the bell rings for you, the reader, and how you are acknowledged as a human being and as a member of society. Paul Simon s song contrasts this idea with the last four lines of the song, I am a rock, I am an island, and a rock feels no pain, and an island never cries. • 9. Controversy Of Shakespeare DeVere or Shakespeare? Abstract: The debate over the legitimacy of the authorship of Shakespearean works has been disputed for centuries. While many scholars have held beliefs that Shakespeare s works have been written by figures such as Christopher Marlowe, Francis Bacon, William Stanley, and others, the most heated debate today is between William Shakespeare and Edward DeVere, the Earl of Oxford. Each side of this debate has many followers, the Stratfordians, or those who claim Shakespeare to be the true author, and the Oxfordians who believe that true credit should go to DeVere. My paper, far from being a complete analysis of the possibilities of Shakespearean authorship, attempts to summarize and rationalize the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While the ideas of the true identity of Shakespeare have differed over the years in an almost trend like fashion, a very popular idea has surfaced over the last century. The most prolific debate today is between the Stratfordians, or those who claim Shakespeare to be the true author, and the Oxfordians, those who claim Edward DeVere, Earl of Oxford, to be the true author. The first question to ask in such a circumstance is why doubt exists. For instance, no scholars question the works of writers and philosophers such as Montisqueu, Hobbes, or Locke. Why then, is there any question as to who wrote Shakespeare? It would seem to most people that the name on the plays should logically be the name of the author. Stratfordians claim exactly this fact as one of their strongest arguments. The only problem with this seemingly simplistic argument lies in the spelling differences between the man named Will Shakespere and the name written on the plays, William Shakespeare (Whalen 8). In fact, the records of (Shakespere s) lifetime almost always spelled his name Shakespere while the names on the plays were always spelled Shakespeare, about half the time with a hyphen which generally denoted a made up name or pseudonym (Whalen 8). Such a slight difference may seem insignificant, but for those who doubt authorship, this is a way of questioning the very basis of Stratfordian claims that authorship is inarguable, and introducing the possibility of ... • 11. Stereotyping Is A Natural Instinct That Humans Historically, humans have always been separated into groups based on appearance, whether that is concerning body shape, the clothes we wear, or the color of our skin. Stereotyping is a natural instinct that humans have because they feel the need to classify people in order to not feel threatened by them. Humans feel an obligation to know and understand people but do not necessarily want to be associated with them, thus they place people into specific groups, labeling them. One of the primary ways that we stereotype people is by their race. Being a minority that has always been prejudiced against in America, African Americans are often judged because of the way that they speak. Black students have struggled in academic settings that use Standard English, such as in the common American classroom. African American Vernacular English (AAVE) harms Black students through discrimination on standardized tests and in classroom environments. AAVE is a variation of what is commonly referred to as Standard English, and is predominantly spoken by African American communities across the United States. Unlike many other variations of English, AAVE is not regional so African Americans speak more or less the same way all across the country. These sociolinguistic parallels are because African Americans are oriented to a sense of ethnic solidarity and nation wide cohesiveness due to their extensive history of fighting in unity for the same victories (Fought, 2003). There are many challenges in wireless networks as explored in [1]. The challenges are as follows. Wireless channel conditions are unpredictable and unreliable. As wireless medium is shared, it may result in contention. There might be issues with hidden terminal problem. Route maintenance and node mobility may cause issues. Energy constrained nature of the wireless networks. Having no centralized control on the networks Due to the innovations in wireless technologies and recent developments in electronic circuits, there is ever increasing trend in the usage of mobile devices that are part of wireless networks. People of all lifestyles are using different kinds of mobile devices. In this context, there has been increased research in the multimedia applications that run over wireless networks. As the multimedia applications are resource intensive, they are to be used with certain optimizations. The wireless networks are not optimized for such applications. The OSI model was also not designed by keeping multimedia applications in mind. Therefore, individual layers of OSI model can be optimized or jointly they can be optimized. Now that the Mac is released, the PC no longer controlled the market for computers, this resulted to making one of the most famous rivalries in technological history. This essay will compare and contrast Mac and PC based on price, quality, and popularity. One of the parts that separates these computers apart is the price. On the other hand, PCs can be made from different materials like plastic, traditional metal, steel and brushed aluminum this can be a factor depending on the price of the computer. Just like the iMac, Aluminum bodies can also be in sharp looking PCs and can go through the same processes that the iMac goes through as well but it can be different depending on the company. • 14. Essay on Mozart s Sonata k331 Mozart s Sonata k331 The first movement of Sonata K331 is comprised of a theme, six variations and a coda. The theme comprises of 18 bars: four times four bar phrases with an extension tacked onto the end. Mozart followed this strict binary theme but this does not mean that the music is at all predictable; he uses different techniques to bring the best out of this form, as detailed later. The extension is an example of Mozart surprising the listener and enhancing the journey to the end of the theme. Each of the groups of four bars ends with a cadence. This is periodic phrasing, one of many signatures of galant musical style (also known as Viennese classical music) that had its emphasis on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This could be countered by contrasting the first movement to the radically different form later in the piece and by pointing out that the use of the two bar extension was unusual and Mozart added this primarily to avoid becoming too predictable. A piece lacking in continuity may also have several ideas that may only appear for short periods in the piece or not work well together. However, Mozart uses the same simple melodic ideas throughout this movement that does provide continuity. He achieves this through using the melody within different textures and not using much counterpoint at all. Next is the question of tonal variety Mozart s use of chords and shape in the piece. There is a good argument for the lack of tonal variety in the piece in the whole Andante only one type of chromatic chord is used (in bar 12 of variations 1 4). Also, Mozart s reliance on the tonic and dominant chords is evident; in the theme, over 75% of the chords are in the tonic (A major) or the dominant (E major). However, as the variations progress, the listener can hear plenty of tonal structure to ward off criticism. Right from the beginning of Variation 1 (bar 19) the theme is decorated in the right hand with semi tonal appoggiaturas as well as contrasting semi quaver octaves in bar 23. In particular, my focus will be on the role trauma plays in their culture. I chose The Lakota Sioux because of the fact that they are from the area and surrounding area of where I live and I have always had an interest in Native Americans. The Lakota people have suffered greatly due to trauma brought on as a result of unjust events throughout their history. They were and continue to be oppressed and I would like to better understand the injustices that they endured and continue to endure and to discover strategies for helping this group. The Lakota Indians are a tribal Native America group that resides in the northern part of the United States. Although a large number of Indians have immersed themselves into American culture, several tribal groups carry out their daily affairs on Indian reservations. The Lakota Indian s primary location is in South Dakota and North Dakota. Native American s have been victims of historical trauma, sometimes referred to as multi generational trauma. There is a sense of powerlessness and hopelessness associated with historical trauma that contributes to high rates of alcoholism, substance abuse, suicide, and other health issues (Birchfield, 2000). Those who support the death penalty find it to be a fitting form of punishment for criminal actions. Others suggest that the death penalty is an inhumane practice, even towards criminals. Over the years, it is clear that there are some fatal flaws in how the death penalty operates. Too often in the past has the death penalty fallen victim to courtroom biases. Furthermore, the death penalty is an incredibly expensive and time consuming process. However, the determining factor of whether the death penalty can be considered justice or not depends primarily on how it affects the overall crime rate. In light of this, William Tucker the American Spectator s New York correspondent and CEO of TheElevator.com and Eric M. Core competencies that form much of the force of economies of scope are becoming increasingly narrowed and specialized, leading us to industry fragmentation in the information revolution contrasting against the industry consolidation that accompanied the industrial revolution. If we look behind the curtain of public policy dressed in its diverse laws and regulations, we see less rather than more gravity drawing the communications industry into operational or financial consolidation. Neither vertical nor horizontal integration of communications related businesses appears compellingly natural. The rate of technological advancements (and apparent lack of economies of scale that such behemoths as Bell Labs once enjoyed) allows industry giants to be toppled at unprecedented rates. Instead we see a growing value in cooperatively developed integrative standards that will marry such distant cousins as content to conduit, computing to transportation, appliance functionality to communications. Thus, consolidation of firms has greater value in its portfolio effect than in economies of scope and scale (the uncertainty of just which information and communications products will be successful carries risks that can be mitigated by having a portfolio of such products). The present rate of technological change in the information and communications industries also ... Have you ever stopped to WONDER how a roller coaster operates at such high speeds without one? Let s take a look at the scientific principles and forces behind the thrills of the roller coaster. Since roller coasters don t have engines, they must be pulled by a motorized chain to the top of the first big hill. As the roller coaster rises higher and higher into the air, its potential energy keeps growing until it reaches its maximum potential energy at the crest of the hill. Potential energy is sometimes known as positional energy. Potential energy represents the amount of work the roller coaster will be able to do with the energy it builds up from falling down the other side of the hill. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It s the same reason you fall down when you trip. Or why a ball hits the ground when you drop it. What are we talking about? Gravity, of course! When a roller coaster crests the first big hill, gravity takes over, causing the roller coaster to fall down at a constant rate of 9.8 meters per second squared. All that stored potential energy changes to kinetic energy, which can also be thought of as moving energy. As the roller coaster falls, it accelerates and builds up enough kinetic energy to propel it through the remainder of the ride. No engine is required because of inertia. Inertia is one of the laws of physics described long ago by Sir Isaac Newton. The law of inertia holds that an object in motion will stay in motion until acted upon by an equal but opposite force. In the case of a roller coaster, this means that the kinetic energy built up from the fall down the first hill could keep it going forever. We all know, though, that roller coaster rides don t last forever. That s because the roller coaster loses energy to other forces as it does loop the loops, curves, and other hills along the ... These demanding but oftentimes unappreciated efforts are often addressed through the conscious use of skills and knowledge of the problems being solved against. When such oppression is however committed against them within the organization where they work, the social worker seems to be mum about the situation, or their efforts perhaps are rendered inutile. North America social workers experience this form of oppression within the social service institution. For this reason, I examine the arguments why the social workers need to be aware of the existence of this unique form of oppression. In order to eliminate oppression in the social welfare workplace, the social workers, in their pursuit of social change, must have a competent understanding of the theory around racism and oppression. Racism, as a social construct, historically and generally creates a generalization based on the culture, ethnicity, or any objective attributes of a person. Oppression, which is a modern category of racism, is the use of any form of power to dis empower, marginalize, silence, or otherwise subordinate one social group, usually to further empower and/or privilege the oppressor.
