Renaissance Horse Identity Essay
The horse once dominated human environments, permeating all of society during the Renaissance.
The popularity of this animal produced a unique and influential identity for the horse during this
period, and this identity constituted several parts. With this multifaceted identity, the horse received
new roles in human society. I am attempting to explain these roles of the horse and their effects on the
horse and human. By first explaining the context of the horse and rider of the Renaissance, I set up a
discussion of the specific changes the humans caused in the horse. The transformation of the horse
included changes in identity and perception along with a rider. This new identity stressed a greater
unity between horse and rider, and the reservation of this identity to the elite of society idealized the
horse and rider. Whenever artists and writers depicted the horse and rider, their united identity
associated with the most respected class in Renaissance society. This association caused the
widespread veneration of the horse and rider. Since this new identity constituted multiple parts and
perceptions, explaining each new part is essential to understanding the identity of the Renaissance
horse. Then uniting these identities describes the varied expression and perception of the horse more
clearly than leaving the parts isolated. Finally, I discuss the most important impact of the horse s
identity during the Renaissance and its implications. In this paper, I propose that the

Evolution Of A Large Mammal s Life Cycles
Fossils are considered to be evolutionary markers that records a lineages of creatures across time
providing a distinct way to compare different species. When Darwin set forth on a journey to the
Galapagos Islands, he discovered many aspects of evolution. During his expedition, he discovered the
fossils of creatures which closely resembled the modern armadillos. At that time, Darwin did not
possess any tools or resources to predict the phylogenetic lineages and the evolutionary history of the
armadillos. However, using modern day science and techniques like DNA and protein sequencing, it is
now possible to better understand the relationships between different organisms. Furthermore, by
observing the early developmental (embryonic) stages of a large mammal s life cycles it is possible to
indicate the relationship of the mammals with other mammals6. The combination of these methods
may lead us to determine the phylogenetic position of armadillos Dasypodidae and other related
organisms, such as anteaters and sloths.
Armadillos evolutionary history has been a subject of many controversies and has been revised
multiple times. Nevertheless, new developments in sequencing have allowed us to better understand
the evolutionary relations using the DNA and proteins found in the fossils. By the use of these
techniques, we are able to see the points of similarities among different species of armadillos.
Furthermore, we can produce a phylogenetic tree to see the divergence of

The 1941 Film, Citizen Kane,
History has rendered a variety of timeless art. The works have included multiple genres, such as
paintings, music, theatre, and photography. Each of the aforementioned genres have attributed to an
additional ageless art form. Film may be identified as an art form that combines multiple genres to
produce classic work. This is specifically revealed by an Orson Welles movie. The 1941 film, Citizen
Kane, may be considered a classic based on extensive research. Throughout history, the film is
repeatedly rated as one of the greatest films ever produced. Various elements such as storytelling and
technique have contributed to the recognition and acclaim attained by the film. During the era in
which the film was produced, Citizen Kane revolutionized film making and remains relevant today.
Despite the initial response to the film, Citizen Kane is a definite classic.
Two primary themes within the film contribute to the recognition and acclaim generated by Citizen
Kane. The themes are buried beneath the visual muddle of the film itself. First, the theme regarding
the disparagement of the private disposition of the municipal figure contribute to the esteem of the
film. (Carringer) Next, the theme regarding the overwhelming force of materialism may be identified
as a defining factor of the film, Citizen Kane. Viewed in unison, the themes encompass the poignant
irony of the triumphant success of an American. The tale takes a drastic turn and winds up revealing

Doodle s Life In The Scarlet Ibis By James Hurst
Have you ever tried your hardest to accomplish something, just to let it die? In The Scarlet Ibis by
James Hurst, Doodle and the scarlet ibis both experienced this moment in life. Doodle had a rare and
life threatening heart condition that he developed from birth. This condition restrains him from doing
the things he loves. The scarlet ibis also had a disability that confined its abilities.
Both the scarlet ibis and Doodle traveled a long way, just to end their life. Doodle s brother has pushed
him a long way so that he could succeed. In the story the narrator said, Once I had succeeded in
teaching Doodle to walk, I began to believe in my own infallibility, and I prepared a terrific
development program for him, unknown to Mama and Daddy, ... Show more content on

Both Doodle and the scarlet ibis s life concluded in a terrible way. In the story, the narrator explained
the death of the scarlet ibis, At that moment the bird began to flutter, but the wings were
uncoordinated, and amid much flapping and a spray of flying feathers, it tumbled down, bumping
through the limbs of the bleeding tree and landing at our feet with a thud. Its long, graceful neck
jerked twice into an S, then straightened out, and the bird was still, (Hurst ll. 298 302). Also, the
narrator specified Doodle s tragic death, He didn t answer, so I placed my hand on his forehead and
lifted his head. Limply, he fell backward onto the earth. He had been bleeding from the mouth, and his
neck and the front of his shirt were stained a brilliant red, (Hurst ll. 383 386). The scarlet ibis traveled
a long way from where it lived to escape from the storm. The bird began to die due to an injury. As a
result from that injury, the scarlet ibis s life terminated. Doodle s life also came to an end after he
traveled a long way. Doodle traveled a long way by learning many new things and developing many
skills that he was unable to do before. From being pushed so hard, his heart condition took over and

Donald Super Concept
Introduction to Life Span, Life Space Career development involves the integration of psychological,
sociological, educational, physical, economic, and chance factors that provide the basis for a career
over an individual s life (Isaacson. 1986). Career development is, in fact, a lifelong process. (Isaacson,
1986, p. 17). Donald Super is primarily responsible for changing the definition of vocational guidance
from the process of assisting an individual to choose an occupation, prepare for it, enter upon it, and
progress in it to the process of helping a person to develop and accept an integrated and adequate
picture of himself (sic) and of his role in the world of work, to test this concept against reality, and to
convert it into reality, with satisfaction to himself and to society. (Niles, S.G. Harris Bowlsbey, J.
2013). Super s multidiciplianry approach to studying career development incorporated contributions
from economics and sociology while placing career behavior in the context of human development.
Among the many important theoretical contributions of originally suggested the important role of the
self concept in career development in a 1949 Donald Super was his emphasis on career development
as a process of self concept implementation. Super speech made in Fort Collins, Colorado, and later

Euthanasia Persuasive Essay
An Avoidable Loss
Death by choice or euthanasia is a very controversial subject that is typically one sided. The very
concept of death alone is somewhat a taboo, but controlling death itself is another monster. Death by
choice or euthanasia should not be legalized because it promotes defeatism, may lead to the strict
procedures to become more accessible to people with non fatal illnesses, could legitimize murder, or
pressure the elderly.
When an unfortunate illness befalls, people have a tendency to become depressed and feel defeated.
They start fearing the pain and the deterioration that may lie ahead, thus they become disillusioned
and hasty looking for a way out. Euthanasia offers a way out but, this pessimistic end could have been

Murder and manslaughter are very serious offenses that lead to life and jail or the death sentence.
Euthanasia could lead to doctors getting away with murder because no one would know if the patient
gave consent instead of the doctor. It only becomes more troublesome with involuntary euthanasia for
patients that are competent or conscious, since they can t defend themselves nor give consent to the
doctor or their family. In a Dutch survey that was reviewed by the Journal of Medical Ethics in 1995
stated that out of 3,600 authorized cases, nine hundred of these cases doctors didn t have explicit
consent. In a follow up survey, the doctors stated that the main reason for acting without proper
consent was because the patients had dementia or weren t competent. However, in fifteen percent of
the cases in the second surveys, the doctors avoided any discussion because they thought they were
acting in the patient s best interest( Involuntary Euthanasia is Out of Control in Holland 8). In a
nursing home study in March 1991, The New England Journal of Medicine revealed that twenty five

December 11, 2015
INTRODUCTION After I graduate with a high school diploma, I would like to become an
orthodontist. Orthodontics has fascinated me since I was in third grade when I got braces. I have had
my braces on for seven years now, therefore I frequently visit my orthodontist. Throughout my
treatment process, I have seen the improvement made in the shape of my mouth. The idea of being
able to drastically improve someone s smile by reforming, straightening, and aligning an individual s
mouth has always intrigued me.
ORTHODONTIST RESEARCH The expertise needed to be successful in orthodontics in is the ability
to easily maneuver your hands. As a student, I should take courses that will prepare me for admission
to the pre dental college of my choice. In general, my high school courses should include chemistry,
biology, english, mathematics, speech, history, sign language, and any other courses that include the
development of hand skills. Courses like so, which specialize in improving my communication skills
and they will also assist in the preparation of my college studies. Critical Thinking is necessary to
achieve mastery in this area because orthodontics requires the ability to identify and solve problems,
therefore a course in which this is taught will be helpful. Orthodontists are usually associated with

Garret Hardin The Tragedy Of The Commons Summary
In Garret Hardin s paper, The Tragedy of the Commons , he talks about the problem of overpopulation
and why it can t be solved by a technical means. He talks deeper about the population rate and a
supposed optimal population. Also, Hardin mentions the commons which are the resources of our
world. On this subject he argues the problems of how the commons are unregulated which would lead
to them being exploited into ruin be rational people. I will write to argue why the commons are being
protected regularly and how rational people can reason and understand long term effect of their
actions on these commons.
Hardin begins his paper by discussing a positive growth in population in a finite world. Finite in the
terms of the resources available for the problems we must face in the next few generations.
Specifically, the idea of zero population growth and how there is an ideal population on Earth. People
and cultures should be able to identify what their ideal population should be and once they do, the
population growth should hit zero. The reason why zero population is so important is because of how
many people are taking up resources of the commons. Hardin touches on the difficulties of finding the
optimum amount but understands the impossibility of it being solve in this generation.
Moving towards Hardin s main points. The commons are the resource within our finite world and are
available to everyone. These stretch from the fish in the sea, the metals in the ground below us,

Essay The Boston Massacre and the American Revolution
The Boston Massacre was an important event in U.S. history, that lead to the American
Revolution. This event brought attention to the unfair ways the British soldiers were treating the
colonists. The British were treating the colonists unfairly by taxing them and using their homes for
shelter and food. They used them for food by making them make meals for them to eat and if the
colonist was a farmer with horses they would also take the horses. I will talk about the famous lawyer
John Adams and other events that happened in the Boston Massacre. On the evening of March 5,
1770, a group of kids came up to a British soldier. The soldier was alone so the kids thought that he
would be an easy target to pick on. The kids approached the soldier ... Show more content on

There were two separate trials, one for Captain Preston and one for the soldiers. The first one started
about one month after the massacre, the second one started on November 27, 1770. If you don t know
who Captain Preston is, he is the captain of the group of soldiers. Some people say that he was the one
that told the soldiers to fire. It even shows him raising his hand to fire in Paul Revere s engraving. It is
not certain that, this is what happened because there is no other proof but the engraving. From what I
have heard Captain Preston was telling the soldiers not to fire. Before the Boston Massacre s name
became common it was called The Bloody Massacre on King Street. This name is on the famous Paul
Revere engraving. In the early 1800s it was also called the State Street Massacre. If you don t know
what a massacre is, it is a massive killing. Even though the Boston Massacre wasn t a massive killing
it was still called a massacre, because it was a big deal. Paul Revere is the man who made the famous
engraving. It is not certain that he was at the massacre, but some think that he was. I think that he was
there, because if he wasn t there then how did he make the engraving. I can see where people can
think that he wasn t there though. He could have just drawn the people and put the background of the
scene on the engraving. The Boston Massacre is one of my favorite events in history. I like the

Using small business lifecycle model allows the best innovators to achieve twice the sales from the
new product and turn creatively into a system for impact by running business not in the traditional
way.
Conclusion
Small business is based on the innovation. It proposes new solutions, new products and new services.
Life cycle planning is very essential for development and growth of the small business. Planning of
the life span of the business can set a basis for the next stage of development and gradual growth into
medium and large size organization. Each stage of the four discussed has its own characteristics and
crisis which need to be dealt with. There is much to learn from the small business life cycle model:
how to remain a group of people who share common mission and goals and not to grow into a
company where people are treated as a set of competences.
What can be learned from The Small Business Life Cycle Model
Small businesses thrive on innovation and are known as innovation engines of the economy. However,
the success rate of the new product development in the small business is typically less than 10 percent.
The success of the launched product is often less than 50 percent. Some of the recent research shows
that the success greatly depends on the planning of the lifecycle and

Sherlock Holme Instead Of Watson By Arthur Conan Doyle
Arthur Conan Doyle chooses Watson instead of Holmes, because Watson is more of a person someone
can relate to, and Holmes is very arrogant and eccentric. Even though Watson is not as skilled at
solving crimes as Holmes is, without Watson, Sherlock Holmes would not be who he is as a character.
Holmes has a lot of admiration because of his name but many individuals cannot relate to him because
of his arrogance, nonetheless when you are reading, Watson is the character we can relate to more. If
Sherlock were narrating the reader would feel as if Holmes would let out to many details before we
even get to the middle of the story. Watson holds on and has the readers thinking what may happen

Social Changes In The Industrial Revolution
Society had many social and economic changes throughout the time of the Industrial Revolution in
Great Britain during, 1750 to 1850. The Industrial Revolution is the time at which farming work
changed into factory work and new methods were made. This switch really benefited Britain. There
were many of each change in society, one of the economic changes could be selling stock, and all the
new types of businesses formed . Also new transportation and the assembly line all are considered
economic changes. A social change could be all the new advanced technology and urbanization. In this
time period a big social change would involve all the new technology. Society could use these new
advanced tools to communicate with others. One invention by Samuel Morse was telegraphs. These
telegraphs improved communication by making it easier to send people messages, they were even in a
secret code. Morse code was eventually named after Samuel Morse. Another change that happened in
the beginning of the change from agriculture to industry is urbanization. This is when the people move
from the rural areas to urban areas. The rural areas are on the countryside like farms, while urban areas
are cities with factories. People left the rural places because there was no longer jobs for them since
the agricultural revolution caused less farmers being needed, also the factories are taking over. The
factories were located in the cities; many people moved here because the factory owners would need

Burden Of Leadership In Lord Of The Flies
Burden of Leadership
In the words of William Shakespeare, uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. In William Golding s
novel Lord of the Flies, many of the characters are faced with the responsibility of authority.
Throughout the events of the novel, Ralph tries to keep his power. Jack works to gain power and the
role of chief. Piggy, as opposed to Jack and Ralph, works to achieve respect. In the novel Lord of the
Flies, William Golding effectively conveys the idea that the responsibility of leadership can weigh
heavily upon those unfit for power, resulting in fractures throughout society.
The effect of authority is reflected in the character of Ralph, through his struggle to maintain his
power. After the hunters brag about killing their first pig, Ralph declares there was a ship. Out there.
You said you d keep the fire going and you let it out! (74). The authority he wields over the boys is
beginning to diminish through the boy s refusal to follow his orders. Ralph makes it clear they must
keep a fire burning in order to be rescued, yet the boys who are tasked with tending to it disobey their
command. As Ralph s power is pulled away from him, the majority of the boys turn to a leader who
they believe will protect them. During Ralph s flee from the savage camp, Sam and Eric warn Ralph
that they re going to hunt you down
to morrow (209). Ralph has been completely stripped of his position as chief, and has been painted as
the enemy in the other boys eyes. He was unable to maintain control over the position he was elected
into, causing disarray in the group s dynamic. Ralph is unable to use his power to benefit the
wellbeing of the island s society.
Another character who is incapable of using power positively is Jack. When the first assembly is being
called, Jack enters with the choir and shouts Choir! Stand still! (16). Even on the island, Jack
maintains his control over the choirboys and continues to give them orders despite their environment.
When the boys elect Ralph as chief, Jack is mortified. He believes he should be chief due to his head
boy status at school, and is taken back when the other boys don t vote for him. As the boys attitudes
begin to shift, Jack reaches for

Tonal Sensitivity
It doesn t take a musical genius with perfect pitch to tell when a piano is in tune. When your piano is
adjusted properly, music sounds correct to our ears. When it isn t, your home piano sounds more like
what you d expect to hear in a saloon during a gunfight at the OK Corral.
The reason for this is the result of two things:
Small variations in the sound waves created by the piano that compound over time
Cultural expectations with regards to music
To understand these ideas, you first have to have a basic understanding of how sound is created.
Sound Waves and Hertz
A sound wave is defined as a disturbance through a medium in the case of your piano, the vibrating
strings cause a disturbance in the air around you. Your ears detect this ... Show more content on

As these changes impact all of the strings on your piano, the notes begin to sound unrelated to each
other. A change of even a few Hz can cause your ear to notice and the result is rarely pleasing to hear.
Tonal Sensitivity
The reason listeners react so strongly to these minor changes is related to the Western style of music.
In the simplest terms, our music is built around related notes. These are called scales and modes. A
major scale, for example, will often sound happy and bouncy to us. On the other hand, minor scales
sound sad or spooky.
Scales in our system of music are defined more by the proper difference in pitch between notes than
the starting or stopping point of the scale. When those gaps between notes are incorrect, the overall
feel of the scale or mode is lost. That s why a poorly tuned piano strikes us immediately as wrong we
ve heard so much music that our ears expect a certain result and notice when it is lost.
The moral of the story is this: Your piano will almost undoubtedly go out of tune over time, and your
ears will certainly notice. Investing in a professional to tune your instrument periodically is the only
way to ensure that your playing provides the maximum amount of enjoyment for both you and your

Schlieffen Pl War Against Russia And France
The Schlieffen Plan was Germany s plan for war against Russia and France. The purpose of this plan
was to help Germany survive the earliest part of World War I by knocking France out in the West
before turning their focus to Russia whom was East of them. The ultimate goal and way of
accomplishment was to quickly defeat the French before Russia could mobilize its forces to join the
fight. This plan was requested by Kaiser (German emperor) Wilhelm II, created by the chief of staff
Alfred von Schlieffen in 1903, and revised in 1905. Due to the Franco Prussian alliance Germany
could not attack just one country but rather be forced to fight both in a two front war. Wilhelm was

The German commanders decided to not attack from France s rear but rather from the Franco German
border, which was probably one of their biggest mistakes because the French were lined and heavily
protecting themselves and their line. This plan was flipped due to Germany s inability to predict what
was happening in other countries. These miscalculations over the role of Belgian resistance, speed of
Russia moving in Eastern Prussian territory and Britain s immediate entry into the land war at the
Battle of Mons led to Germany s military plans being weakened. After a few weeks of battle, it was
clear this plan had failed. The plan itself effected the war but in a way, it also had nothing to do with
the outcome of the war. If the plan had worked the way it was originally planned, that would have
meant no other countries made a move to protect themselves or fight back. Since the plan did not go
as it was supposed to, it was clear Germany was behind in what was happening in other countries,
were under prepared, and had no way of predicting exactly what would happen when they did

LGBTQ Students
What should be done to help the LGBTQ students succeed? The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender,

their educational years. Statistics show that 84.9% of LGBTQ students experience verbal harassment
which has ultimately lead to 63.5% of students feeling unsafe in their current school. (McCormick

suicide, and the use of drugs. Not only are students being treated unjustly, but they also do not have
the support from their own teachers or counselors. So we ask ourselves, what can be done about the

School counselors have the opportunity to promote change (Jackson 27). Unfortunately, some
counselors are unaware of how to approach some students going through transitional stages. Some
even battle with their own beliefs and biases. After a poll was taken about how students feel speaking
to schools counselors, almost all expressed a lack of trust and had no experiences of relating
emotional/social issues to them. (Jackson 23). When counselors take the step in helping out the
students who are battling issues within themselves the outcome can be beautiful. In one school, a
student came to a counselor depressed and alone. Also being gay, he was shy to open up. When he told
the counselor this she explained to him that , It was her job to listen and offer a helping hand to
students who need support. And, being gay is something to celebrate, being different and unique is a
gift not something to be afraid of. After a year of guidance with his counselor he was able to join with
the SGA group to come before the student body and open up about his truth. Training and resources
being provided to students and counselors has improved the morale amongst student population. A

Essay Pope Pius XII s Neutrality
Is it possible for a Pope to be infallible? When one looks at events, such as the Holocaust, the answer
of this question becomes twofold. Were Pope Pius XII s actions an attempt to save the Catholic
Church from persecutions or a lack of understanding of Hitler s ethnic cleansing? Nearly six million
Jews were slaughtered during the Holocaust. When the world became aware of the mass murders that
were taking place in Europe, World War II became a moral obligation rather than a fight for power.
The Allied powers invaded Germany to save Jews and force the Nazis out of power in Germany.
Many Nazi resistance groups, including Catholic groups, aided in the hiding of Jews in Europe.
Surprisingly, the Vatican did not assist these resistance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

This encyclical objected to the German government violations of the Reich Concordat and criticized

There is necessity of aligning three critical levers to build a successful CRM: insight into customer
decision making, information about customers, and information processing capability. The sales
people pull up the customer data base in having the data about customer profile to adjust behavior and

We identify two critical components in the customer decision process: decision making assistance and

different factors: the amount of information available, decision consequences forecast and trust in

In Sophocles Women of Trachis, who is responsible for Heracles death? Note: that an important part

It could be argued that none of the characters in Women of Trachis are essentially and solely
responsible for the death of Sophocles character Heracles. It is simply human error and the innate
qualities of a tragic hero and heroine. All the same, one could justify that the characters could have

Essay On Dolphins
There are different living places for dolphins in the world. Do you think the ocean is the only place for
dolphins to live? However, actually dolphin habitats are divided into two major parts which are the
wild places and the sea world though they can be found in ports, bays, gulfs and estuaries. The
environments and lifestyles between the dolphins are quite different while this could possibly be
because of the pollution made by human beings.
The dolphins that live at Sea World are more likely to have a larger and better environment of living
space than those which live in the wild. Dolphins which live at Sea World are actually known as living
in the places that are called aquariums. Aquariums are the manmade places with no pollution, which
means dolphins are able to have a cleaner environment to survive. In other words, they will be less
likely to die because of pollution problems. In aquariums, the workers here will clean up the water in

them? As an old saying goes Gives the human by the fish to be inferior gives the human by the
fishing. So if the dolphins cannot practice looking for food by themselves, they may lose the ability
one day. In addition, dolphins that are at Sea World tend to be fed by visitors, which may pose a threat
to their health. So as I have mentioned that dolphins in those two places can have different lifestyle.
For example, those in the ocean usually leap over the water surface. What s more, dolphins usually
have a migration as the seasons change while for those in the aquariums they may not have such habit.

Inability to control sensitive content. The Great Firewall is extremely sensitive when it comes to
pornography contents. The reason of blocking Google International is that netizens in China can
search pornography images via Google Images when the default setting of SafeSearch is off. In
contrast, Baidu has a strong filter to sieve out any unsuitable content that displeasure the Chinese
government. As a result, it s almost impossible to search any sensitive content on Baidu. Google failed
because government would not care about its position when all of us have to face the laws.
In China, consumers rely on blogs and other user generated consumer reporting when deciding what

more control over media, the press, and the internet than any other economy at a similarly developed

The Selma March And The Voting Rights Movement
Around the 1950s, there was a large struggle for African Americans to vote. The main issues were
barriers to voting. Alabama was one example of severe obstacles for voting. Literacy tests were
mandatory for being allowed to vote and often led to discrimination as test proctors would give harder
questions to those they disfavored. Poll taxes meant lower income citizens could not vote. Black
Americans often lived far away from voting centers so restrictions were placed on transportation so
they could not have a chance of voting. These conditions led to a small minority of African Americans
that could actually vote. Demonstrations began by two groups of civil right advocates, Southern

meant justice was achieved. However, while the march overall the Selma March seemed just, there
was disagreement between SNCC and SCLC. Both groups knew that there was injustice being done as
a result of the voting laws in Alabama, but their leaders had a different approach to solving the issue.
SCLC wanted to maintain the idea of peaceful protest while SCLC was more active in their movement
and promoted civil disobedience. While the march was successful in showing the nation needed to

Nestle would want to acquire Eskimo Pie due to the synergy that is created with the purchase of
Eskimo Pie. Simply, Nestle would be able to use their existing supply chain to help and advance
Eskimo Pie´s causes. For instance, since Nestle´s current ice cream novelties are sold in a wide range
of stores, adding the Eskimo Pie branded ice cream novelty would not add much in the way of cost to
providing the product for customers, as a matter of fact, it is likely to create added value in
distribution, costing the same amount of money to distribute the combined product lines as it would to

Eskimo Pie would also benefit from being able to utilize economies of scale with respect to their

especially considering Eskimo Pie is a much smaller company, and does not produce the level of items
such as chocolate, or does not require the amount of milk that a company the size of Neste does.

Articles Of Confederation Achievements
Under the Articles of Confederation, the federal government was very weak and unable to
accommodate the nation after declaring its independence (Schultz, 2010). The Articles of
Confederation was a document drafted by the Continental Congress between 1776 and 1777, which
defined the colonies power and authority. Although the Articles were ready for ratification the
following year, it would not go into effect until 1781 after all thirteen states were in agreeance.
Once the Articles were ratified, they made three notable achievements (Schultz, 2010). First, they
showcased that the government consisted of laws that limited its authority. Minimizing the power that
the government wielded was important to the people because they had just escaped rule from Great
Britain. Next, the Articles made it clear that there would be no titles or a class system in the nation,

to keep fighting for his life because there is much more to life than he knows. Using the structure,
diction, symbolism, and anaphora of the poem, Thomas emphasizes a universal message in Do not go

for.Notably, the structure of the poem is significant to the message the poem portrays. The poem is

of four lines. The first five stanzas tell the reader that the speaker wants someone to keep living and
fight against death. However, in the last stanza, the speaker reveals to the readers that the he is
referring to his father. The last stanza, being comprised of four lines rather than three, further
emphasizes the speaker s desire to have his father fight death and live life.In addition to this structure
of the poem, rhyme also plays an important role in emphasizing the author s message. This poem has a
specific rhyme scheme for the first five stanzas: aba, aba, aba,

Important Aspects Of Teaching And Coaching
Important Aspects of Teaching and Coaching
When a sports highlight of a great play showcasing teamwork is watched on a highlight reel, what is
the immediate reaction, that play was amazing. Great teams make great plays and often those
successful plays transpire to playing field or court due to many hours of practice, handwork, repetition
and dedication. Those plays didn t just miraculously happen. Someone had to draw the game plan up
and then figure out the most innovative way instill that play and game plan while catering to all of the
attributes and learning abilities of their athletes in order to maximize on those abilities and talents. The
same goes for classroom instruction. Teachers have the monumental task of understanding the social,
cultural and cognitive behaviors of all their students. Teachers and coaches have to continue to remain
flexible and be open to changes in teaching theories and techniques. The first line of education other
than what is learned at the student s home is from a teacher and a coach. It is highly important for
teachers and coaches to be prepared and ready to shape these minds positively and to prepare students
to be productive members in society. Coaching and teaching have many aspects in common and one
helps augment the other nicely. Can you remember the first time something was taught to you or the
first time that you remember that you learned something? It could have been learning how to walk,
riding your bike, fishing or dribbling a

Equality In The Wild
Freedom, to be one s self, many people seek this, but not many succeed. Many people get stuck
conforming to society, and other outside forces, they are never really themselves so they only care
about society, as a result they never unlock their true potential. We strive to be like all our brother
men, for all men must be alike. (Rand 19) That quote illustrates that perfectly how society is and one
of the reasons Equality went and did his experiments, to be himself. In addition he was unlocking his
true potential. Not only that but also when he was doing it he was by himself, with no restrictions, a
free man to do what he wanted.
When he was in school he was very smart, So we fought this curse. We tried to forget our lessons, but
we always remembered. He was very good at science and wanted ... Show more content on

Limiting one s self to menial tasks and labors hinders that, in the same way being a street sweeper
hindered Equality s ability to do that. It is a great sin, to be born with a head that is too quick. (Rand
21) In the society where Equality lived the council of vocations did not give jobs based on skill or
merit, they gave them to random people trying to limit them as best as they can. To limit people to
only half their potential destroys them as people, and in addition their drive to succeed, thus keeping
individualism out of sight and mind. With limiting people s potential they also prevent people from
doing what they want.
A life spent doing things one doesn t find joy in is a life wasted. Equality tried to convince himself that
he liked street sweeping, so that he could repent of his transgressions of preference, but he never
succeeded he always knew he was not meant to do that, we loved the science of things. He even said
that he loved science, he didn t love street sweeping he hated it, at no time did he ever like sweeping,
and if he kept doing it it would have broken his

The Religion Of The Hebrew People
If one were to discuss Western civilization in its entirety, it would be difficult not to include Judaism,
the religion of the Hebrew people. The Hebrews, the ancestors of the Jewish people, were a small
generally nomadic group of herders from Mesopotamia that would eventually settle in early Palestine
to birth a religious movement that would ripple through the known world for millennia to come.
Judaism, whose name comes from the ancient southern kingdom of Judah, is one of the world s oldest
living religions, in addition to being the first religion based on monotheism, or a belief in one God,
and would later become the driving force behind Christianity, the primary religion of the West.
According to the Torah, a general term used to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Isaac would eventually have two offspring as well, Esau and Jacob, who according to tradition warred
with each other before birth in Jacob s wife Rebecca s womb. Upon Isaac s old age he prepared to give
a blessing to his son Esau, but was tricked by his wife to give the blessing instead to Jacob, in turn
causing a blood feud between the brothers. Fearing for his life Jacob would flee to live far away with
his uncle. In his absence he would father 12 sons, each of which birthing the 12 tribes of Judah.
Eventually Jacob would return to reconcile with his brother Esau, but not before wrestling with an
angel to receive a blessing from him. Blessing Jacob, the angel gave him a new name, calling him
Israel or he who wrestled with God. The Jewish people would later be referred to as the Children of
Israel signifying descent from Jacob.
Jacobs twelve sons, Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Zebulun, Issachar, Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali,
Joseph and Benjamin were the ancestors for the tribes of Israel, and the ones for whom they were
named. Josephs older brothers would grow jealous of him, as he was the favorite of Israel and because
of his gift of visions, and would later be sold into slavery out of jealousy, finding himself as a slave in
Egypt. Eventually, Josephs gift to interpret visions earned him a place in the Pharoah s court, which
paved the way for the Jewish

They went to go look for the Bacchus, the Roman God of Wine. While looking for Bacchus, Percy and
Jason were possessed by edilions from the underworld. Percy and Jason started to attack Piper, so then
Piper used her charming powers of Aphrodite to remove the edilions from Percy and Jason. Then the
demi gods split up into groups to go look for the Athena Parthenos Statue. Annabeth, looking for the
Athena Parthenos Statue, had fell into an underground tunnel. In that tunnel, she saw cobwebs that
reminded her of the demi god Arachne. But when Annabeth had fallen she had broken her ankle and
was unable to move. Arachne was in the tunnel with Annabeth, so Arachne slowly approached
Annabeth and said I swore to kill all of Athena s children . Annabeth had used her intelligence to trick
Arachne, by saying that she could display Arachne s tapestry on Mt.Olympus if she spared Annabeth.
Annabeth told Arachne what to weave, Arachne didn t know that she was weaving a handcuff design.
Once Arachne was done weaving, she found herself trapped in her own tapestry. Arachne then started
thrashing and smashing, to break herself free, but the underground tunnels they were in were
thousands of years old. The ground above and below had started to shake and rumble and blown up,
Percy, Arachne, and Annabeth had fell into the pit of Tartarus. These are the important parts of the

Essay On Magnetic Field
Summer of 2017 saw UT Southwestern Medical Center make considerable strides in biotech with the
development of high frequency alternating magnetic fields to destroy bacterial films on the surfaces of
artificial joints in the body simply by heating the joints themselves. These bacterial infections tend to
be of great detriment to patients, and they prove impeccably resilient to antibiotics. Since then, that
same research has been furthered to prove itself on human test subjects. Now, the U.S. Energy
Department illustrates the ability to see bacterial cells magnetic fields via electron microscopy, which
marks a milestone both for microscopy and for scientific rendering of magnetic nano objects in liquid
and bacterial cell magnetic fields ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When we look at samples prepared in the conventional way, we have to make many assumptions
about their properties based on their final state, but with the new technique, we can now observe these
processes first hand, Prozorov explains. It can help us understand the dynamics of macromolecule
aggregation, nanoparticle self assembly, and the effects of electric and magnetic fields on that process.
This bears significant implications for biotechnological applications, especially in light of recent
research regarding the use of magnetic heating to eradicate bacteria from surfaces within the human
body.
People get metal parts implanted all the time to compensate for injuries or very old body parts. These
pieces range from metal plates to pins to artificial joints, but they all serve relatively similar purposes
holding bones together. The problem that comes from this from time to time is that bacteria inside a
patient s body eventually find these metal surfaces and seek refuge on or in them. Ordinarily,
physicians recommend surgery to get rid of those bacteria, but new research suggests that surgery may
no longer be necessary; rather, it may be possible to get the same result with the non invasive
alternative of magnetic heating.
These bacteria can be very difficult to remove because they form biofilms thin sheets that form a
viscous, protective membrane of sorts like plaque on enamel. Even though this only happens to

The Story Of Stone Mother
Group 1, Question B The story of Stone Mother functions both as an origin and etiological story
because it provided a sense of values and explained the phenomena of nature s creation in time. It s
amazing to analyze how certain landmarks in nature were created based upon the stories that were
passed down through generations. The story shared the value of family and to appreciate the
connection that exists between people and nature. If one does not acknowledge each others
characteristics and the world around us, certain choices may lead to regrets later on in life. For
example, the children were separated and sent to opposite sides of their mother homeland ( Stone
Mother, pg 11 12) due to discipline actions. Since the children left, the parent remained in their
original location but were very sad and heartbroken when they learned about the band returning to
fight the remaining groups ( Stone Mother, pg 12). Overall, the important idea that this story wanted to
provided is that any connections always exists among humans as well as the nature that surrounds us if
we take the chance to appreciated each other existence. Group 2, Question C Two examples of
trickster stories from this week s reading were Coyote Wants to Be Chief and Bunding Host . Both of
the stories teach valuable life lessons, but they each have different perspectives on what was needed to
be presented. In the Coyote Wants to Be Chief story, Coyote accidentally fell asleep and missed his

Theme Of Respect In The Maze Runner
Knowledge will give you power, but character respect Bruce Lee. In James Dashner s The Maze
Runner, respect is an underlying theme that is constant throughout the novel. Respect is not something
that is gained it is always earned, it takes something meaningful to earn it. Respect is not given idly by
any person and is shown in the novel. Respect and trust usually go hand in hand and are good things to
have in a community. One of the things that can earn respect is friendship and loyalty, if they become
good friends and are loyal to each other respect will come easily. Although respect does not
necessarily result in friendship. Another thing that earns respect is the value of knowledge and
experience. If one runs into another who does the same thing as them, but better, instantly they gain a
form of respect in either form of admiration or jealousy. Lastly respect can be earned through actions
of cleverness and intelligence as people who see people do clever or smart things usually gain some
admiration and respect. In the novel, The Maze Runner, respect is represented throughout the novel
through a variety of forms such as, friendship, experience and actions. To start, respect and trust can
be earned through a good friendship and/or a strong loyalty. When someone is loyal to another, they
instantly acknowledge it due to its positive effect. Being loyal and doing the right thing even though it
is wrong is a definite cause of respect, Thomas says, I didn t do anything

Analysis On Maximizing Investment Returns
Analysis on maximising investment returns in financial markets Introduction Portfolio optimisation is
a method of calculating and generating the maximum profit for the investors by allocating the initial
capital into various asset classes. During the procedure, investors must consider the rate of return as
well as the potential financial risks that could affect the expected value and accuracy of asset
allocation decisions. Markowitz s Modern portfolio theory builds up the foundation of solving
portfolio optimisation problem nowadays using standard deviations to estimate the span of risk where
investments with higher returns tend to have more risks accordingly. Asset class allocation is a crucial
part of portfolio optimisation to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For UK investors, all nine asset classes are worthy of investments, however the key in this scenario is
to balancing the possible high risks while attempting to achieve the highest return using linear
programming, As a result, boundaries have been set by the fund manager to maintain the risks within a
feasible level. The money invested into each asset class must be between the lower bound and upper
bound. Assumptions on how the manager estimated the annual return rate Firstly the fund manager
could have used compound average; by calculating the combined returns from different periods could
perfectly demonstrate investments with returns over a certain period of time. Secondly the fund
manager could have used the Internal Rate of Return method to calculate the annual returns rates. IRR
is more flexible than compound average as it covers multiple cash flows over certain periods of time.
This method is more useful in this scenario because there are several asset classes available for
investments. Finally, arithmetic mean is the simplest way of calculating annual rate of return. Just
simply adding up all the returns in the past then divided by number of periods. The drawback is that
arithmetic mean will be affected by negative figures whereas compound average and IRR don t.
Solving Problem Linear programming model is extremely applicable to identify an optimal

9. Health care workers are at risk of being exposed to blood borne pathogens through needle stick and
other sharp object injuries. The pathogens of primary concern are the human immunodeficiency virus,
hepatitis B virus, and hepatitis C virus. When a needle stick injury occurs, workers report the incident
to their supervisor. This information is forwarded to county health departments and ultimately to the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). A CDC researcher used these data to compare
needle stick injuries in community hospitals and tertiary care hospitals. Is this a paired or independent
comparison? Explain your answer.
Paired comparisons may be from one individual before and after samples or from different individuals
who have been matched for some characteristic, e.g. sex, age, height etc. In this question, we are
looking at healthcare workers . The needle stick observations of healthcare workers share a link that
makes them similar to one another and allows the researcher to compare needle stick injuries in
various settings, e.g. all healthcare facilities including in community and tertiary care hospitals.

  • 2. Renaissance Horse Identity Essay The horse once dominated human environments, permeating all of society during the Renaissance. The popularity of this animal produced a unique and influential identity for the horse during this period, and this identity constituted several parts. With this multifaceted identity, the horse received new roles in human society. I am attempting to explain these roles of the horse and their effects on the horse and human. By first explaining the context of the horse and rider of the Renaissance, I set up a discussion of the specific changes the humans caused in the horse. The transformation of the horse included changes in identity and perception along with a rider. This new identity stressed a greater unity between horse and rider, and the reservation of this identity to the elite of society idealized the horse and rider. Whenever artists and writers depicted the horse and rider, their united identity associated with the most respected class in Renaissance society. This association caused the widespread veneration of the horse and rider. Since this new identity constituted multiple parts and perceptions, explaining each new part is essential to understanding the identity of the Renaissance horse. Then uniting these identities describes the varied expression and perception of the horse more clearly than leaving the parts isolated. Finally, I discuss the most important impact of the horse s identity during the Renaissance and its implications. In this paper, I propose that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Evolution Of A Large Mammal s Life Cycles Fossils are considered to be evolutionary markers that records a lineages of creatures across time providing a distinct way to compare different species. When Darwin set forth on a journey to the Galapagos Islands, he discovered many aspects of evolution. During his expedition, he discovered the fossils of creatures which closely resembled the modern armadillos. At that time, Darwin did not possess any tools or resources to predict the phylogenetic lineages and the evolutionary history of the armadillos. However, using modern day science and techniques like DNA and protein sequencing, it is now possible to better understand the relationships between different organisms. Furthermore, by observing the early developmental (embryonic) stages of a large mammal s life cycles it is possible to indicate the relationship of the mammals with other mammals6. The combination of these methods may lead us to determine the phylogenetic position of armadillos Dasypodidae and other related organisms, such as anteaters and sloths. Armadillos evolutionary history has been a subject of many controversies and has been revised multiple times. Nevertheless, new developments in sequencing have allowed us to better understand the evolutionary relations using the DNA and proteins found in the fossils. By the use of these techniques, we are able to see the points of similarities among different species of armadillos. Furthermore, we can produce a phylogenetic tree to see the divergence of ... Each of the aforementioned genres have attributed to an additional ageless art form. Film may be identified as an art form that combines multiple genres to produce classic work. This is specifically revealed by an Orson Welles movie. The 1941 film, Citizen Kane, may be considered a classic based on extensive research. Throughout history, the film is repeatedly rated as one of the greatest films ever produced. Various elements such as storytelling and technique have contributed to the recognition and acclaim attained by the film. During the era in which the film was produced, Citizen Kane revolutionized film making and remains relevant today. Despite the initial response to the film, Citizen Kane is a definite classic. Two primary themes within the film contribute to the recognition and acclaim generated by Citizen Kane. The themes are buried beneath the visual muddle of the film itself. First, the theme regarding the disparagement of the private disposition of the municipal figure contribute to the esteem of the film. (Carringer) Next, the theme regarding the overwhelming force of materialism may be identified as a defining factor of the film, Citizen Kane. Viewed in unison, the themes encompass the poignant irony of the triumphant success of an American. The tale takes a drastic turn and winds up revealing the demise, lonesomeness, ... • 7. Donald Super Concept Introduction to Life Span, Life Space Career development involves the integration of psychological, sociological, educational, physical, economic, and chance factors that provide the basis for a career over an individual s life (Isaacson. 1986). Career development is, in fact, a lifelong process. (Isaacson, 1986, p. 17). Donald Super is primarily responsible for changing the definition of vocational guidance from the process of assisting an individual to choose an occupation, prepare for it, enter upon it, and progress in it to the process of helping a person to develop and accept an integrated and adequate picture of himself (sic) and of his role in the world of work, to test this concept against reality, and to convert it into reality, with satisfaction to himself and to society. (Niles, S.G. Harris Bowlsbey, J. 2013). Super s multidiciplianry approach to studying career development incorporated contributions from economics and sociology while placing career behavior in the context of human development. The very concept of death alone is somewhat a taboo, but controlling death itself is another monster. Death by choice or euthanasia should not be legalized because it promotes defeatism, may lead to the strict procedures to become more accessible to people with non fatal illnesses, could legitimize murder, or pressure the elderly. When an unfortunate illness befalls, people have a tendency to become depressed and feel defeated. Murder and manslaughter are very serious offenses that lead to life and jail or the death sentence. Euthanasia could lead to doctors getting away with murder because no one would know if the patient gave consent instead of the doctor. It only becomes more troublesome with involuntary euthanasia for patients that are competent or conscious, since they can t defend themselves nor give consent to the doctor or their family. In a Dutch survey that was reviewed by the Journal of Medical Ethics in 1995 stated that out of 3,600 authorized cases, nine hundred of these cases doctors didn t have explicit consent. In a follow up survey, the doctors stated that the main reason for acting without proper consent was because the patients had dementia or weren t competent. • 10. Garret Hardin The Tragedy Of The Commons Summary In Garret Hardin s paper, The Tragedy of the Commons , he talks about the problem of overpopulation and why it can t be solved by a technical means. He talks deeper about the population rate and a supposed optimal population. Also, Hardin mentions the commons which are the resources of our world. On this subject he argues the problems of how the commons are unregulated which would lead to them being exploited into ruin be rational people. I will write to argue why the commons are being protected regularly and how rational people can reason and understand long term effect of their actions on these commons. Hardin begins his paper by discussing a positive growth in population in a finite world. Finite in the terms of the resources available for the problems we must face in the next few generations. Specifically, the idea of zero population growth and how there is an ideal population on Earth. People and cultures should be able to identify what their ideal population should be and once they do, the population growth should hit zero. The reason why zero population is so important is because of how many people are taking up resources of the commons. Hardin touches on the difficulties of finding the optimum amount but understands the impossibility of it being solve in this generation. Moving towards Hardin s main points. The commons are the resource within our finite world and are available to everyone. These stretch from the fish in the sea, the metals in the ground below us, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Essay The Boston Massacre and the American Revolution The Boston Massacre was an important event in U.S. history, that lead to the American Revolution. This event brought attention to the unfair ways the British soldiers were treating the colonists. The British were treating the colonists unfairly by taxing them and using their homes for shelter and food. They used them for food by making them make meals for them to eat and if the colonist was a farmer with horses they would also take the horses. I will talk about the famous lawyer John Adams and other events that happened in the Boston Massacre. On the evening of March 5, 1770, a group of kids came up to a British soldier. The soldier was alone so the kids thought that he would be an easy target to pick on. The kids approached the soldier ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If you don t know who Captain Preston is, he is the captain of the group of soldiers. Some people say that he was the one that told the soldiers to fire. It even shows him raising his hand to fire in Paul Revere s engraving. It is not certain that, this is what happened because there is no other proof but the engraving. From what I have heard Captain Preston was telling the soldiers not to fire. Before the Boston Massacre s name became common it was called The Bloody Massacre on King Street. This name is on the famous Paul Revere engraving. In the early 1800s it was also called the State Street Massacre. If you don t know what a massacre is, it is a massive killing. Even though the Boston Massacre wasn t a massive killing it was still called a massacre, because it was a big deal. Paul Revere is the man who made the famous engraving. It is not certain that he was at the massacre, but some think that he was. I think that he was there, because if he wasn t there then how did he make the engraving. I can see where people can think that he wasn t there though. He could have just drawn the people and put the background of the scene on the engraving. It proposes new solutions, new products and new services. Life cycle planning is very essential for development and growth of the small business. Planning of the life span of the business can set a basis for the next stage of development and gradual growth into medium and large size organization. Each stage of the four discussed has its own characteristics and crisis which need to be dealt with. There is much to learn from the small business life cycle model: how to remain a group of people who share common mission and goals and not to grow into a company where people are treated as a set of competences. What can be learned from The Small Business Life Cycle Model Small businesses thrive on innovation and are known as innovation engines of the economy. However, the success rate of the new product development in the small business is typically less than 10 percent. The success of the launched product is often less than 50 percent. Holmes has a lot of admiration because of his name but many individuals cannot relate to him because of his arrogance, nonetheless when you are reading, Watson is the character we can relate to more. If Sherlock were narrating the reader would feel as if Holmes would let out to many details before we even get to the middle of the story. Watson holds on and has the readers thinking what may happen next and how the scenes will be plotted out. This really ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 20. Burden Of Leadership In Lord Of The Flies Burden of Leadership In the words of William Shakespeare, uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. In William Golding s novel Lord of the Flies, many of the characters are faced with the responsibility of authority. Throughout the events of the novel, Ralph tries to keep his power. Jack works to gain power and the role of chief. Piggy, as opposed to Jack and Ralph, works to achieve respect. In the novel Lord of the Flies, William Golding effectively conveys the idea that the responsibility of leadership can weigh heavily upon those unfit for power, resulting in fractures throughout society. The effect of authority is reflected in the character of Ralph, through his struggle to maintain his power. After the hunters brag about killing their first pig, Ralph declares there was a ship. Out there. You said you d keep the fire going and you let it out! (74). The authority he wields over the boys is beginning to diminish through the boy s refusal to follow his orders. Ralph makes it clear they must keep a fire burning in order to be rescued, yet the boys who are tasked with tending to it disobey their command. As Ralph s power is pulled away from him, the majority of the boys turn to a leader who they believe will protect them. During Ralph s flee from the savage camp, Sam and Eric warn Ralph that they re going to hunt you down to morrow (209). Ralph has been completely stripped of his position as chief, and has been painted as the enemy in the other boys eyes. He was unable to maintain control over the position he was elected into, causing disarray in the group s dynamic. Ralph is unable to use his power to benefit the wellbeing of the island s society. Another character who is incapable of using power positively is Jack. When the first assembly is being called, Jack enters with the choir and shouts Choir! Stand still! (16). Even on the island, Jack maintains his control over the choirboys and continues to give them orders despite their environment. When the boys elect Ralph as chief, Jack is mortified. He believes he should be chief due to his head boy status at school, and is taken back when the other boys don t vote for him. As the boys attitudes begin to shift, Jack reaches for ... • 22. Tonal Sensitivity It doesn t take a musical genius with perfect pitch to tell when a piano is in tune. When your piano is adjusted properly, music sounds correct to our ears. When it isn t, your home piano sounds more like what you d expect to hear in a saloon during a gunfight at the OK Corral. The reason for this is the result of two things: Small variations in the sound waves created by the piano that compound over time Cultural expectations with regards to music To understand these ideas, you first have to have a basic understanding of how sound is created. Sound Waves and Hertz A sound wave is defined as a disturbance through a medium in the case of your piano, the vibrating strings cause a disturbance in the air around you. Your ears detect this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As these changes impact all of the strings on your piano, the notes begin to sound unrelated to each other. A change of even a few Hz can cause your ear to notice and the result is rarely pleasing to hear. Tonal Sensitivity The reason listeners react so strongly to these minor changes is related to the Western style of music. In the simplest terms, our music is built around related notes. These are called scales and modes. A major scale, for example, will often sound happy and bouncy to us. On the other hand, minor scales sound sad or spooky. Scales in our system of music are defined more by the proper difference in pitch between notes than the starting or stopping point of the scale. When those gaps between notes are incorrect, the overall feel of the scale or mode is lost. That s why a poorly tuned piano strikes us immediately as wrong we ve heard so much music that our ears expect a certain result and notice when it is lost. The moral of the story is this: Your piano will almost undoubtedly go out of tune over time, and your ears will certainly notice. The ultimate goal and way of accomplishment was to quickly defeat the French before Russia could mobilize its forces to join the fight. This plan was requested by Kaiser (German emperor) Wilhelm II, created by the chief of staff Alfred von Schlieffen in 1903, and revised in 1905. The march concluded with the ensured ability to vote for African Americans, which meant justice was achieved. However, while the march overall the Selma March seemed just, there was disagreement between SNCC and SCLC. Both groups knew that there was injustice being done as a result of the voting laws in Alabama, but their leaders had a different approach to solving the issue. SCLC wanted to maintain the idea of peaceful protest while SCLC was more active in their movement and promoted civil disobedience. While the march was successful in showing the nation needed to reform its voting legislation, there were many injuries and some deaths associated with the events of the march. These deaths and injuries were unjust as they were a result of unjust ideologies. As I grew older and got involved in heavy drinking to a point of no self control and doing things I would regret when sober I began to hate myself with a deep passion. I didn t know why I would do the things I did and continue to make the same mistakes even after I felt the gut wrenching feeling the following day. Nestle would want to acquire Eskimo Pie due to the synergy that is created with the purchase of Eskimo Pie. Simply, Nestle would be able to use their existing supply chain to help and advance Eskimo Pie´s causes. For instance, since Nestle´s current ice cream novelties are sold in a wide range of stores, adding the Eskimo Pie branded ice cream novelty would not add much in the way of cost to providing the product for customers, as a matter of fact, it is likely to create added value in distribution, costing the same amount of money to distribute the combined product lines as it would to continue to distribute the current product lines. Eskimo Pie would also benefit from being able to utilize economies of scale with respect to their suppliers. Since Nestle is currently participating in purchasing common ingrediants that would go into producing novelty ice cream products, they would be able to garner larger discounts from suppliers, especially considering Eskimo Pie is a much smaller company, and does not produce the level of items such as chocolate, or does not require the amount of milk that a company the size of Neste does. Although the Articles were ready for ratification the following year, it would not go into effect until 1781 after all thirteen states were in agreeance. Once the Articles were ratified, they made three notable achievements (Schultz, 2010). First, they showcased that the government consisted of laws that limited its authority. Minimizing the power that the government wielded was important to the people because they had just escaped rule from Great Britain. When we look at samples prepared in the conventional way, we have to make many assumptions about their properties based on their final state, but with the new technique, we can now observe these processes first hand, Prozorov explains. It can help us understand the dynamics of macromolecule aggregation, nanoparticle self assembly, and the effects of electric and magnetic fields on that process. This bears significant implications for biotechnological applications, especially in light of recent research regarding the use of magnetic heating to eradicate bacteria from surfaces within the human body. People get metal parts implanted all the time to compensate for injuries or very old body parts. These pieces range from metal plates to pins to artificial joints, but they all serve relatively similar purposes holding bones together. The problem that comes from this from time to time is that bacteria inside a patient s body eventually find these metal surfaces and seek refuge on or in them. Ordinarily, physicians recommend surgery to get rid of those bacteria, but new research suggests that surgery may no longer be necessary; rather, it may be possible to get the same result with the non invasive alternative of magnetic heating. These bacteria can be very difficult to remove because they form biofilms thin sheets that form a viscous, protective membrane of sorts like plaque on enamel. Even though this only happens to ... The Story Of Stone Mother Group 1, Question B The story of Stone Mother functions both as an origin and etiological story because it provided a sense of values and explained the phenomena of nature s creation in time. It s amazing to analyze how certain landmarks in nature were created based upon the stories that were passed down through generations. The story shared the value of family and to appreciate the connection that exists between people and nature. If one does not acknowledge each others characteristics and the world around us, certain choices may lead to regrets later on in life. For example, the children were separated and sent to opposite sides of their mother homeland ( Stone Mother, pg 11 12) due to discipline actions. Since the children left, the parent remained in their original location but were very sad and heartbroken when they learned about the band returning to fight the remaining groups ( Stone Mother, pg 12). Overall, the important idea that this story wanted to provided is that any connections always exists among humans as well as the nature that surrounds us if we take the chance to appreciated each other existence. In James Dashner s The Maze Runner, respect is an underlying theme that is constant throughout the novel. Respect is not something that is gained it is always earned, it takes something meaningful to earn it. Respect is not given idly by any person and is shown in the novel. Respect and trust usually go hand in hand and are good things to have in a community. One of the things that can earn respect is friendship and loyalty, if they become good friends and are loyal to each other respect will come easily. Although respect does not necessarily result in friendship. Another thing that earns respect is the value of knowledge and experience. If one runs into another who does the same thing as them, but better, instantly they gain a form of respect in either form of admiration or jealousy. Lastly respect can be earned through actions of cleverness and intelligence as people who see people do clever or smart things usually gain some admiration and respect. In the novel, The Maze Runner, respect is represented throughout the novel through a variety of forms such as, friendship, experience and actions. To start, respect and trust can be earned through a good friendship and/or a strong loyalty. When someone is loyal to another, they instantly acknowledge it due to its positive effect. The money invested into each asset class must be between the lower bound and upper bound. Assumptions on how the manager estimated the annual return rate Firstly the fund manager could have used compound average; by calculating the combined returns from different periods could perfectly demonstrate investments with returns over a certain period of time. Secondly the fund manager could have used the Internal Rate of Return method to calculate the annual returns rates. IRR is more flexible than compound average as it covers multiple cash flows over certain periods of time. This method is more useful in this scenario because there are several asset classes available for investments. Finally, arithmetic mean is the simplest way of calculating annual rate of return.
