The World Wide Web
On the left is our timeline starting in 1989.
Tim Berners-Lee wrote the first browser called
“WorldWideWeb”, (later renamed to Nexus to avoid
confusion between the software and the World Wide Web).
It used ‘hyperlinks’ through which people could ‘navigate’
from one document to another.
This was established over what is today known as the
Internet.
