This is my evaluation question one showing what aspects of other existing products I used, developed and challenged when making my products.

2. USE
I have used a few
things on my
magazine cover
similar to the
one I researched;
a similar shot
type, the title
shown large
towards the
bottom of the
page and a
barcode in the
bottom left
corner.

3. DEVELOP
There are a few
things I
developed on
from their
magazine; my
title has a drop
shadow, looks
less flat, which is
the same with
the title at the
bottom, their
whole page looks
flat, which I
noticed and
made sure I
didn’t do.

4. CHALLENGE
There are a few
things from their
magazine that I
challenged;
similar to theirs I
included a
coverline with a
quote which
related to the
feature film, but
rather than leave
a large space like
they did I
‘challenged’ this
because I think it
looks better with
coverlines.

5. USE
I have used
some elements
from the poster
that I
researched in
my own; the
background,
clouds, the title
placement and
colour scheme,
and the film
credits.

6. DEVELOP
As well as using
some of theirs I
also developed
on some
aspects, I show
when its
released rather
than empty
space,

7. CHALLENGE
Similar to the
magazine I
challenged some
elements on the
poster; the
similar shot type
but different
colour / light, I
show my
background
similar to theirs
but for different
reasons.
