ABSTRACT: Although a significant amount of literature exists on Morocco's migration policies and their
successes and failures since their implementation in 2014, there is limited research on the integration of subSaharan African children into schools. This paperis part of a Ph.D. research project that aims to fill this gap. It
reports the main findings of a study conducted with migrant children enrolled in two public schools in Rabat,
Morocco, exploring how integration is defined by the children themselves and identifying the obstacles that they
have encountered thus far. The following paper uses an inductive approach and primarily focuses on the
relationships of children with their teachers and peers as a key aspect of integration for students with a migration
background. The study has led to several crucial findings. It emphasizes the significance of speaking Colloquial
Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and being part of a community for effective integration. Moreover, it reveals that the
use of Modern Standard Arabic as the language of instruction in schools is a source of frustration for students,
indicating the need for language policy reform. The study underlines the importanceof considering the
children‟s agency when being integrated into mainstream public schools.

Improving Workplace Safety Performance in Malaysian SMEs: The Role of Safety ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: In the Malaysian context, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) experience a significant
burden of workplace accidents. A consensus among scholars attributes a substantial portion of these incidents to
human factors, particularly unsafe behaviors. This study, conducted in Malaysia's northern region, specifically
targeted Safety and Health/Human Resource professionals within the manufacturing sector of SMEs. We
gathered a robust dataset comprising 107 responses through a meticulously designed self-administered
questionnaire. Employing advanced partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques
with SmartPLS 3.2.9, we rigorously analyzed the data to scrutinize the intricate relationship between safety
behavior and safety performance. The research findings unequivocally underscore the palpable and
consequential impact of safety behavior variables, namely safety compliance and safety participation, on
improving safety performance indicators such as accidents, injuries, and property damages. These results
strongly validate research hypotheses. Consequently, this study highlights the pivotal significance of cultivating
safety behavior among employees, particularly in resource-constrained SME settings, as an essential step toward
enhancing workplace safety performance.

2. FRONT COVER
Mast Head
This is used to show the target audience of a magazine
immediately, NME here have made a simple masthead with a bold
colour to make it stand out and it also matches the cover line, I think
that my front cover mast head also stands out and matches my
magazine genre, with my mast head I made sure that it stood out against
my background.
CVI
Here I used the image of Tyler The Creator for inspiration, I like how
NME used a large picture on the front of their front cover and I wanted
the same on my front cover. The reason why I used a big image for my
front cover is because when I looked at the NME magazine I used in
my planning, I found that the first thing I looked at was the front cover
so I wanted the same effect on my front cover. I wanted my model to
also wear the appropriate clothing for the genre of my magazine and I
think I achieved this.
Pull Quote
I placed my pull quote in a similar place to where NME placed their pull
quote on their magazine, the reason why I used pull quotes is because I
think it would appeal to my audience because in my opinion the
audience want to know what’s inside and what the main story is about
so I added the pull quote to achieve this. I used white text against the
background so that my pull quote could stand out and also the same
text as I did as the other cover lines so that the pull quote didn’t look
out of place. I put a stoke onto my pull quote to emphasise.
Colour Scheme
I used colours that are not too harsh on the eyes, I included colours
such as black, white etc. to keep it classy and to make my front cover
look professional.
3. CONTENTS PAGE
Title
I kept the conventions of the title on NME the
same on my contents page in terms of the
positioning.
Fonts
I used the same font throughout my contents page
so that my contents page didn’t look too complex
and difficult to read.
Colour Scheme
Again I wanted to stick to classy colours, nothing to
bright but something that looked professional, so
with the use of the grey background and the large
faint paint marks I believed it emphasised my
pictures and the things that I wanted to stand out in
my contents page.
Page Numbers
I used this page convention on my Contents Page
and Double Page spread. The reason why I wanted
to do this was because I was following the page
conventions that the magazine I looked at in my
planning.
4. DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD
Main Image
The main image on my DPS gives
off the genre of my magazine. I
used a cinematic effect on my
model to make the image look
professional and to also bring out
the colour of clothing my model
was wearing, I achieved the
cinematic effect by using
Photoshop. I followed the DPS
conventions of the NME magazine
I followed and the image has the
same structure is my magazine.
Double Page Spread Title
I changed the conventions of the title on the
DPS in the NME magazine I used to follow,
I didn’t want my magazine to look confusing
by having big and small letters in the title. I
used the font ‘Impact’ and I added a stoke to
it to make it look more defined. I decided to
use black so the title stood out against the
white background. I think that the font and
colour work well together and works with the
colour scheme of my DPS
Main Article
I included some swear words in my double
page spread because I wanted my article to
appeal to the target audience I am aiming
for. I also included pull quotes to stick to
the main conventions that NME used on
the DPS you can see on the right.
