The document describes Sophie Kirby's media product evaluation of a magazine she created. She did in-depth research on existing magazines to understand conventions and create a high-quality product. She aimed her magazine at young hip-hop fans and avoided negative stereotypes by not including images of guns or violence. She distributed the magazine in mainstream stores to appeal to hip-hop's large fan base. Sophie used an informal tone and learned new technologies to edit images professionally for her target audience. She improved her planning and image quality from her preliminary task to the final product.
- For their preliminary task, the author created a basic magazine front cover and contents page without defining an audience or doing research.
- For their final individual magazine, the author conducted research on target audiences and magazine styles, which helped them design a magazine tailored to their defined audience.
- The author's skills in using design software like Photoshop and layout tools like Quark Express improved, allowing them to create a more polished final magazine compared to the preliminary version.
My skills improved from the preliminary task to the final product in several key areas:
1) I conducted more research and evaluated similar music magazines for conventions like featuring artists' appearances and genre-appropriate clothing.
2) I took better photos for the main product using professional cameras, lighting, and poses showing eye contact rather than looking away from the camera.
3) I learned to use fonts, colors, layouts, and Photoshop/InDesign features to make the main product look more polished and professional.
4) The main product had more depth with details about magazine content to appeal to readers and included a more diverse range of models.

Louis Biddles evaluated his research, planning, time management, technical qualities, aesthetic qualities, and audience appeal for a magazine project. For his research, he researched 3 diverse magazines to expand his ideas. To improve, he would research more products. His planning included mind maps, mood boards, and page layouts. To improve, he would include more font and layout details. He managed his time well but had some saving issues between software versions. His magazine used large images and mastheads to attract attention and a color scheme relating to live music.

Q4 How did you used media technologies in the construction and research, plan...hollygruncell
The document discusses the various media technologies used at different stages of a coursework project. These included Blogger to organize work, iMovie for video editing, WIX for a website creation, Microsoft Publisher for a poster, Photoshop for image editing, 1001 Fonts for fonts, Survey Monkey for gathering audience feedback, Windows Movie Maker and Prezi for presentations, and TinyTake for screen recording. Each technology was used because it allowed for clear presentation, easy use, and a professional appearance for the final products.
Q3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?hollygruncell
The document discusses feedback received from a target audience of 16-18 year olds for a horror film trailer. The feedback was used to refine the trailer to better appeal to this audience. Changes made based on the feedback included adding extra moments of horror, modifying sounds and music to build more tension and suspense, and leaving some elements ambiguous to encourage viewership. Additional feedback after the final trailer was positive overall but suggested further refinements to the music and audio quality.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive functioning. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.

3. What kind of media istitution might distribute your product and why?hollygruncell
The document discusses choosing Bauer Media as the distributor for a new music magazine. Bauer Media is a well-known institution that already distributes similar magazines targeting 15-25 year olds, including Mojo, Q, and Kerrang. While these focus on rock music, the new magazine will focus on indie/alternative music, appealing to a wider audience alongside the others. Bauer's experience distributing music magazines makes it well-suited to help a new magazine succeed.
LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

5. I feel that between the creations of the two products my capabilities with
technology have become better as my music magazine came out looking more
professional and real than my college magazine at the start of the year.
During the preliminary task a lot of the technology was new to me so I was learning
how to use it which meant that by the time it came to the main task my skills had
developed and I was better able to use it to produce better quality products.
6. Layering
The layering on my main product (the music magazine) is much more extensive than
that on my prelim product (the college magazine) this created a more professional
look and gave the magazine more interest and appeal for the target audience.
Between creating the two products my skills had developed as I gained better
knowledge with the typical conventions of a magazine and applied these better to
the music magazine. This meant that I created a magazine with more of a familiar
feel and tone with seemingly plenty of content that is advertised well, creating a
more visually pleasing product.
7. Branding
Doing in depth analysis of the conventions and ideas of a music magazine meant
that the branding for my music magazine was much more developed and
professional. The incorporation of the masthead throughout the music magazine
looked much more real than in the prelim task as the masthead was in a smaller font
on the contents page which didn’t distract from the title for the page. I continued
with the branding in the music magazine by incorporating the masthead in a smaller
font and shorter version (just the letter ‘p’) on the double page spread near to the
page number.
8. Advertised Content
There is much more content being advertised on the front cover of the music
magazine than that on the college magazine. This creates a more visually exciting
magazine that would attract more interest in real life because of the amount of
relevant content that is being advertised for the magazine.
The way the content is arranged on the front cover is also much more appealing with
the layering and the colours and highlighting that I used. The content on the prelim
front cover doesn’t look very exciting, the fonts are all too similar and there is no
variation in colour and little variation in size. A lack of layering makes the magazine
look much less appealing as there is less content advertised.
9. Audience Appeal
I think by using surveys and doing more in-depth research into the wants and needs
of the target audience meant that my main product came out much more appealing
to the target the audience than my prelim task. Through research of existing
magazines it was evident that lots of content was to be advertised through layering
and a range of fonts and font sizes to give more interest to certain parts of the
contents. By following certain conventions such as these it made the music
magazine more appealing and eye catching to the target audience.
Through research it was seen that a 3 colour, colour scheme was important to make
the magazine look professional as it gives enough colour for certain parts to stand
out but not enough for it to look too messy and unclear.
10. Editing Skills
Without a doubt my editing skills have improved between the creation of the two
products, I feel like this is aided by the fact I got to practice during my A level
photography lessons also.
The music magazine figure is cut out much more neatly and clearly than that of the
college magazine even though both used the same tools. Through skill development
I have managed to create more professional looking photos that work much more
aesthetically with the magazine to attract the audience better.
11. Images
I think that the use of my images has improved vastly as well between the creation
of the two products. The use of more than one image on the front cover creates a
more interesting layout and makes the advertised content more appealing because
of the visual links. The main image was kept large and any other images were made
smaller so as to not distract the attention from the main content and source of
advertisement for the music magazine.
12. I think that overall my skills have developed from my preliminary task to my main
task and I have been better able to consider my target audience and been able to
create a much more appealing product for them.
It is evident that my target audience was considered more in the creation of the
music magazine as it has a much more real look to it. It also follows all the ideas and
conventions typically shown from looking at real life products and it uses research
about my target audience to create something that has their wants and needs
incorporated in the product.
I would say that I have become more confident within my work as my skills
developed as I managed to create something I was much happier with because of its
professional look.
