 The color scheme of the magazine
matches the cover image and the
clothing she is wearing.
 The name is the biggest piece of text
which shows that it is the main feature
of the magazine. The caption explains
the topic further.
 The picture appeals to the target
audience because the clothes she's
wearing are trending and appeals to
the audience.
 The use of a unique font for the
masthead which gives the magazine
its own Identity.
 The use of a dark color scheme
makes the words come out more.
The main point of focus has been
stroked/ highlighted to make sure
the readers divert their attention to
it.
 The use of a background image adds
more emphasis to the whole musical
theme because it is of a man playing
the guitar. It has a low opacity so it
doesn’t take attention from the text.
 The use of a quote from one of the
featured artists makes the readers
want to read on that feature even
more.
 The use of a signature and smiley face
makes the page appeal more to audience
because it makes them more comfortable
with the magazine.
 The color scheme is bright so it sets the
mood. It emphasizes happiness and
positive vibes.
 The use of sticky
notes and the
handwriting font
makes it more
relatable to the
audience and
gives it the feel of
an actual diary.
 The pictures
further explain
the sticky notes
and give it an
order.
 It has a clear image and
detailed of the product which
allows the reader to
experience the product
before they choose to
purchase it.
 I like the use of yellow for the
main text, this makes it stand
out.
 It also has the text describing
the main features of the
product which allows the
reader to gain positive insight
on the product.
 It covers all aspects of the broad and diverse music and
performing arts of the school in an interesting, entertaining and
inspiring way. We have different editions for every issue. In this
copy we are capturing young stars. On the cover we have Esther
who is deliberately wearing clothes that are trending and cool to
emphasise her youth. The use of slang and clothing is used in
this magazine to further suggest this new generation of youth's
behaviour(rowdy, energetic), in the rock edition well have people
with piercings and tattoos to emphasise the rock culture.
 This was done by all our models. We also aim to educate the
public on the process behind the music, the struggles that are
portrayed in the music. The magazine is designed to show the
public that musicians too go through similar problems. It is
going to bring people closer to their idols.
 The magazine is also designed to create awareness for problems
that don’t get enough attention e.g. domestic violence.
Celebrities
 How my product engages with audience(
interesting)(questionnaire)(appeal to target
audience)
 How my product would be distributed as a
real media text.(Email, website, apps, print)
 It engages my target audience because before we
made the product we conducted a questionnaire
and other forms of research that asked our target
audience their preferences and what they would
like in the magazine and the results compiled was
used to shape the magazine in a way that pleases
our target audience
 It helped us decide the
type of magazine we
would produce.
 It helped us decide the
type of topic that we
should feature the
most. It however has
showed us that we can
feature the others
because it has some
appeal.
 We will distribute our product through various
means:
 Apps- This will be effective as it can be used all
over the world which means that many can
access our product.
 Print- We will partner with the nation media
group who will aid us with printing. This will
prove effective because this partnership will help
us reach more people since they have an already
established delivery routes.
 Website- We will have a platform online that
will allow readers to read the magazine online
based on their subscription which will allow
them to access certain features of the
magazine and certain stories.
 Email subscription- After subscribing to the
product, subscribers will receive a copy of
the magazine for the period of time they have
subscribed for.
 How my production skills developed throughout
this project (planning, presentation, teamwork,
research, communication)
 Photography skills development(terminology)
 Planning and project management skills
(paperwork)
 Research skills development( how you got better)
 Page layout and design - annotated print screen
stages. (print screens)
 This project has taught me a great number of skills
and improved the ones I already had such as:
 I was able to come together and work with my
team to produce this magazine. There were
challenges such as contrasting ideas but because
of the patience that was shared by every member
of the group we were able to combine ideas/ pick
the best way forward.
 I learnt how talk to people even when under
pressure, this is proven because we were able
to come up with the best ideas possible. We
were also able to pass on important
messages without affecting the product
because of misunderstanding.
 It has taught me how to extensively plan for
something as I had to do it for the
product(paperwork). It has taught me
patience and how to thoroughly analyze
work.
 I improved on photography
skills because I learnt that each
photo presents different
meaning to the audience.
 E.g. cover page image is an eye
level shot which means that she
can connect with the audience.
 I also learnt that the expression
expressed by the model
influences the readers mood
for the magazine
 I learnt how work with
what I have and what I
don’t. I learnt how to
organize people ad
myself.
 I also learnt how to create
and implement a vision
because of putting it
down and planning.
I learnt how to formulate questionnaires, how to analyze them and Implement
the data collected in my magazine.
 This shows that majority
of my target audience
prefers features
although it also shows
that I shouldn’t neglect
gossip and interviews as
it has some interest.
 This shows the topic
preferred. This shows
me that the magazine
has to be music
oriented.
 This was my initial cover
page but after putting it
out as an experiment we
found it didn’t appeal to
the target audience
because of the various
reasons.
1. The colors didn’t appeal to the audience.
2. The image didn’t relate to the topic of the
magazine
3. The sticky notes took attention off the sell
lines
 I then changed the color
scheme and the cover
image. I made the color
scheme match the cover
image which made it blend
better and look better and
appeal to the audience.
 The image appealed to the
audience because she is
wearing trending clothes
and we can now see her face
which makes it relate to the
caption.
 How did I integrate technologies - software?
Photoshop, PowerPoint, word,
 How did I integrate technologies - hardware?
Cameras, lighting, laptop, backgrounds, falsh,
sound.
 How did I integrate technologies - online?
(Designmatic, slide share, forms)
 I used software in the formulation and
production of my product.
 Photoshop- I used Photoshop to design and
create my products pages. It took a long time
but after some practice I was able to produce
a high quality product.
 PowerPoint- I used PowerPoint to make this
presentation.
 Word- I used word for my paperwork and my
screenshots
 I used various forms of hardware to create my
product:
 Lighting/flash- I used this when taking
pictures of my models and products.
 Cameras- I used the NIKON D3200 to take a
picture of my models and products
 Backgrounds- I used them when taking
pictures of my models.
 Laptop- This is where I stored my projects
and softwares.
 I integrated various technologies online such
as:
 Designmatic- I used this to design the
company’s logo.
 Slide share- I used slide share to present
my creative critical reflection.
 Google forms- to formulate the
questionnaires and other forms of research.
It also helped me compile results and
analyze them.

  • 22.  I learnt how talk to people even when under pressure, this is proven because we were able to come up with the best ideas possible. We were also able to pass on important messages without affecting the product because of misunderstanding.
  • 23.  It has taught me how to extensively plan for something as I had to do it for the product(paperwork). It has taught me patience and how to thoroughly analyze work.
  • 24.  I improved on photography skills because I learnt that each photo presents different meaning to the audience.  E.g. cover page image is an eye level shot which means that she can connect with the audience.  I also learnt that the expression expressed by the model influences the readers mood for the magazine
  • 25.  I learnt how work with what I have and what I don’t. I learnt how to organize people ad myself.  I also learnt how to create and implement a vision because of putting it down and planning.
  • 26. I learnt how to formulate questionnaires, how to analyze them and Implement the data collected in my magazine.
  • 27.  This shows that majority of my target audience prefers features although it also shows that I shouldn’t neglect gossip and interviews as it has some interest.  This shows the topic preferred. This shows me that the magazine has to be music oriented.
  • 28.  This was my initial cover page but after putting it out as an experiment we found it didn’t appeal to the target audience because of the various reasons.
  • 29. 1. The colors didn’t appeal to the audience. 2. The image didn’t relate to the topic of the magazine 3. The sticky notes took attention off the sell lines
  • 30.  I then changed the color scheme and the cover image. I made the color scheme match the cover image which made it blend better and look better and appeal to the audience.  The image appealed to the audience because she is wearing trending clothes and we can now see her face which makes it relate to the caption.

  • 32.  I used software in the formulation and production of my product.
  • 33.  Photoshop- I used Photoshop to design and create my products pages. It took a long time but after some practice I was able to produce a high quality product.  PowerPoint- I used PowerPoint to make this presentation.  Word- I used word for my paperwork and my screenshots
  • 34.  I used various forms of hardware to create my product:
  • 35.  Lighting/flash- I used this when taking pictures of my models and products.  Cameras- I used the NIKON D3200 to take a picture of my models and products  Backgrounds- I used them when taking pictures of my models.  Laptop- This is where I stored my projects and softwares.
