2. Introduction
Throughout the coursework and year, I have had to use a large
amount of new websites to help me such as Prezi, Scribd,
Slideshare, Surveymonkey and Voki. All of these were used for the
film opening research and evaluations.
All of these new websites were very useful and helped me
throughout the coursework and made me feel slightly more
prepared. At times, there were a few technical difficulties such as
not knowing how to open up a document on the website but I was
able to over come this with ease.
3. Equipment
To be able to get a high quality piece of work whilst creating
our film, we used a canon HDV Camera to record the film
whilst for the steady shots, we used a tripod.
Using the camera was a challenge as we had to rely on using
tape throughout all the filming which also meant uploading the
film was time consuming and difficult to do. Using a camera
which relied on a cassette tape was new to me and my partner
but we found the camera easy and simple to work with. But
seeing as we were the only ones using a camera like this, we
found it difficult as we weren’t able to ask other people for
help

4. Editing the final piece.
We worked on Dell Computers which had Adobe Premier Pro on at the
back of our classroom to edit our opening on. This took a while for me
to get used to as I had never used a program like this before but I was
soon able to get used to it and using different effects with lighting and
sound which made our film opening more effective.
Even though the program it’s self was difficult to use we were soon able
to understand it more. This was a program I had never used before
which put me in a weak position but I was able to soon work with I
effectively and it made our opening look more professional.
For the main title, we used Adobe Photoshop CS6 to put the image of
the knife and the words on a plain black background and match the
colours to the rest of the opening titles. I am slightly more experienced
with Photoshop and this was still a bit of a challenge for me.
5. Conclusion.
In Conclusion, I found that the technology we had
used throughout the construction of my coursework
and final piece was important as it had a large impact
on research, planning, editing and construction.
At times, this was testing our ability with all of the
websites and the equipment, to which I am happy
with as this helped with creating a high quality film
opening.
We had also found that reflection helped with our
final piece because this had also improved the final
quality of the piece by getting other people’s
reactions towards it. This also allowed us to look into
it a little deeper and see where we had made the
errors and if they could be changed more easily.
6. Conclusion.
