Target Audience
0 Target audience is defined as ‘a
particular group at which a
product such as a film or
advertisement is aimed at.’
0 Our target audience was girls
that are aged between 14-18
years old. This is because it is a
love story and after doing
research this type of narrative
appeals most to this group of
people.
How often did we get audience
feedback?
We made sure that we asked our audience for feedback
before we even created our music video so that we knew
what people thought of our initial ideas. This is because
if people didn’t like our initial ideas then there wouldn’t
be any point in carrying on with it. Fortunately for us,
our audience really liked the idea of the love story.
Every time that we changed something to do with our
creation we made sure that we asked people to give us
some feedback about what they liked and what would
make it better. This is so that we had full understanding
about what could be improved on a regular basis rather
than making more changes that our audience may not
like.
How did the audience give their
feedback?
We needed to make sure that we recorded the information
that people gave us so that we could refer back to it. This is
because we needed to be certain that the information that we
were writing on our blogs was correct.
I decided to write the information down on paper as it was
mostly verbal feedback that we got. But when we got
feedback from our class we had sheets that were filled in by
our peers to tell us what aspects were good and what could
be improved.
How did I use audience feedback
to improve my work?
Once we received the feedback from our audience we made
sure that we went through our video to see what the audience
meant and to see if we agreed with the changes that were
suggested to us. If we weren’t sure about the changes that
were suggested to us we would make sure that we asked
more people to see what their opinion of the changes were
and whether we should do them or not.
After we made the changes we would go back to the
audience again and ask if they liked it now and if there
were more changes that could be made again. We made
sure that the feedback that we got from the audience
was recorded onto our blogs.
How did we show the audience
our work?
We regularly sat down with small focus groups of our target
audience and a few other different types of people to get
other views. We felt like focus groups were the best idea to
get information from people. This is because it was a small
group of people so everyone could get their point across
rather than people sitting and not being able to share their
opinion.
I also decided to show my friends, family
and family friends on regular occasions my
work so that we could get feedback from
different ages and backgrounds as these
people have different views on what looks
good and what they would enjoy watching.
How important has audience
feedback been?
Whilst creating our work I
made sure that I regularly
asked people to watch it
and give feedback so that
our work was
continuously improving
and this was to make sure
that our audience liked it
and there were no
mistakes.
It has been important to get feedback from our
audience so that it is suited to them rather than us
being the only ones who enjoy watching it. We also
made sure that we asked many different people of all
ages, backgrounds and gender so that we could get
didn’t perspectives on the film.

Target Audience 0 Target audience is defined as ‘a particular group at which a product such as a film or advertisement is aimed at.’ 0 Our target audience was girls that are aged between 14-18 years old. This is because it is a love story and after doing research this type of narrative appeals most to this group of people.
  • 3. How often did we get audience feedback? We made sure that we asked our audience for feedback before we even created our music video so that we knew what people thought of our initial ideas. This is because if people didn’t like our initial ideas then there wouldn’t be any point in carrying on with it. Fortunately for us, our audience really liked the idea of the love story.
  • 4. Every time that we changed something to do with our creation we made sure that we asked people to give us some feedback about what they liked and what would make it better. This is so that we had full understanding about what could be improved on a regular basis rather than making more changes that our audience may not like.
  • 5. How did the audience give their feedback? We needed to make sure that we recorded the information that people gave us so that we could refer back to it. This is because we needed to be certain that the information that we were writing on our blogs was correct. I decided to write the information down on paper as it was mostly verbal feedback that we got. But when we got feedback from our class we had sheets that were filled in by our peers to tell us what aspects were good and what could be improved.
  • 6. How did I use audience feedback to improve my work? Once we received the feedback from our audience we made sure that we went through our video to see what the audience meant and to see if we agreed with the changes that were suggested to us. If we weren’t sure about the changes that were suggested to us we would make sure that we asked more people to see what their opinion of the changes were and whether we should do them or not.
  • 7. After we made the changes we would go back to the audience again and ask if they liked it now and if there were more changes that could be made again. We made sure that the feedback that we got from the audience was recorded onto our blogs.
  • 8. How did we show the audience our work? We regularly sat down with small focus groups of our target audience and a few other different types of people to get other views. We felt like focus groups were the best idea to get information from people. This is because it was a small group of people so everyone could get their point across rather than people sitting and not being able to share their opinion.
  • 9. I also decided to show my friends, family and family friends on regular occasions my work so that we could get feedback from different ages and backgrounds as these people have different views on what looks good and what they would enjoy watching.
  • 10. How important has audience feedback been? Whilst creating our work I made sure that I regularly asked people to watch it and give feedback so that our work was continuously improving and this was to make sure that our audience liked it and there were no mistakes.
  • 11. It has been important to get feedback from our audience so that it is suited to them rather than us being the only ones who enjoy watching it. We also made sure that we asked many different people of all ages, backgrounds and gender so that we could get didn’t perspectives on the film.
