Daddy s Hands Research Paper
Daddy s Hands
Teenage girls lives are shaped in many different ways. Everything is a big deal to a teenage girl; what
she wears, what she participates in, and who she dates. A girl s relationship with her father strongly
influences her life. Whether the relationship with her father is good or bad, the daughter will be
effected by it. There are four main types of fathers: the Absentee Father, the Intermittent Father, the
Abusive Father, and the Perfect Father. A father s relationship with his daughter influences her opinion
of men, therefore she judges every man based on her father s example. This impacts her dating life,
social life, and leads to more relationship issues with men throughout life. A girl s life is greatly
impacted by her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In an article about fathers leaving affecting his daughters, it says, As the first man in her life, the
young girl s father creates the prototype for her ideal partner consciously and unconsciously. He goes
on to be experienced by his pubescent daughter as the mirror on the wall the ultimate reflection, not
only of her fairness but her desirability (Kavanagh, 2002). A father is the man she loved first and is
supposed to be a little girl s favorite man. Her daddy is the person who is supposed to be there for her
from the moment she is born, to the moment he dies. The Perfect Father is the most important man in
his daughter s life and is involved in all her decisions. This may cause the daughter to be indecisive
because she relies too much on her father. It may lead to the daughter comparing every man to her
father, and some may not measure up. Some girls even look for a man to marry that is exactly like her
father. In my opinion, I think that having your father be the role model for a future husband is ideal. A
girl is used to the way her father acts and finding someone like him would be an easy transition. The
Perfect Father may not always be the ideal father for everyone, but for me it

China Occupation
During the occupation of China by Japan, a time of slaughter for civilians and soldiers alike, the
international committee built a safety zone to protect innocent civilians from the chaos. The zone help
saved over 200,000 Chinese civilians from the ruthless slaughters during the Nanking Massacre of
1937, and later stayed to help rebuild Nanjing after the Devastation attack. Each country has different
views of what they believe was the start of WWII. But Asians trace the war s beginnings all the way
back to Japan s first attempt to dominate East Asia the occupation of Manchuria in 1931 (Schreiber 1)

Nanking, was one of the fews who decided to stay to help thousands of civilians who were too poor to

The Boys On The Bus Analysis
The media has also been a criticized industry because of their often critical stances on issues. Despite
this fact, little is actually know about the people who produce the content that is so heavily consumed.
Know as journalist, these individuals are wordsmiths with the power to alter the opinions of the
public. In the book The Boys on the Bus by Timothy Crouse, light is shed on the stories of these
individuals who are often.
Written in 1973, a year after the dramatic Presidential election of 1972, the boys on the bus shows the
election from a unique perspective. A few distinct contrast are shown that highlight the truth behind
journalism. The first is the comradery and competition amongst journalist, second is the human side of
the candidates, and lastly is the way scandals are covered. Within these topics, the boys on the bus
gives takes the reader on the unique journey that is known as the campaign trail.
The mix of comradery and competition between journalist is shown throughout the book. Outlined in
many ways, this balance shows the true nature of journalism. One great example of this takes place in
the beginning of the book. Here the many reporters are hustling to become the first to publish a story
while still comparing notes. This not only shows the balance of two spectrums but it also shows the

This same level of humanity can effect how journalist portray a certain candidate to their readers.
Knowing the strict line between friendly and professional is also very important. This is an overlying
theme in the book as it follows the 1972 presidential campaign trail. Though the book is titled The
Boys on the Bus, these individuals were often on a plane accompanied by the candidate. During these
long rode trips, not only was a bond build between reporters, but they also got to know the

What Is The Theme Of Star Wars
Star wars Film Analysis
Star wars is an American space opera film directed by George Lucas. Star Wars takes place in a galaxy
far away. We can establish that because the director started with a wide angle shot in the beginning to
show us the preview of the setting. Throughout the movie, Lucas does this to emphasize where it takes
place and how the surrounding fits with the characters. Star Wars doesn t use many close ups and I
think Lucas does this to emphasize the characters and their costumes. Star wars is also known for its
use of special effects. Since it was written in 1977, the technology available wasn t advanced enough
to create good visuals. Because of the lack of advanced technology, space travel and Alien was very

Examples Of Leadership In Remembering The Titans
In 1971, T.C. Williams High School football team, the Titans, broke racial barriers in Alexandria,
Virginia s schools and communities. Remembering the Titans is a classic true story in which racism
was the key issue of the movie. In the movie, black students were being integrated in T.C. s all white
school and the school district decided to bring in a new head coach, Herman Boone who was black.
Therefore, the district demoted the high school football head coach and hall of famer nominee, Bill
Yoast, who was white. This demotion cause outraged in the school, within the football team and the
community. As the movie progressed, we see racism in uncertainty with one significant leadership

members use their full potential individually and while working together as a team. Coach Yoast
leadership was one of empowerment and self management. Through the leadership of both Coach
Boone and Coach Yoast, they produced two other leaders Gerry Bertier and Julius Campbell. Both
athletes, Bertier and Campbell were team leaders. Despite the racial tension in the being, after
Gettysburg, they began to inspire their each other and their teammates to the next level. They learned
how to deal the challenges and changes that they have to face and taught others how to develop a
trusting and cooperative relationship. Both young men set aside their prejudice and began to focus on

Ijarah sukuk
Ijarah sukuk represent the ownership of an equal share in the usufruct of an asset that is well existing,

problems, they encountered no resistance, but several booby traps which they disabled. Their orders
were that once they were able to breach the main gate they were to begin to remove the barricades.
Which consisted everything and the kitchen sink, several cars that had been pushed into the front of
the gate, chairs, benches, large rocks, mounds of dirt, and a couple of desks. SSG Arroa sent back
Corporal Reyes to his Platoon Sergeant and told him to send more men to help clear the barricade.
There was no way he could provide security for him and his men as well as move everything out of
the way. SFC Dittmyer was the Platoon Sergeant, the man was not a great thinker and a very poor
leader. He had decided to send one more squad to help SSG Arroa why the entire platoon didn t move

why wait. But, SSG Arroa knew it wasn t his job to wonder why the Army did things, his job was to
execute his orders to the best of his ability. Second squad led by SSG Dane moved out from their
position in the woods running toward the main gate, down the path and met up with first squad. SSG

Hart s Account Of The Relationship Between Law And Morality
Outline and critically evaluate Hart s account of the relationship between law and morality.
Introduction:
Natural law theorists believe that all law must be morally justified if it can be legitimised as law at all.
Legal positivism means the simple contention that it is in no sense a necessary truth that laws
reproduce or satisfy certain demands of morality, though in fact they have otherwise done so. (Hart,
DATE)
In Hart s eyes, though there may be a congruence between law and morality, it is by no means a
necessary connection. (Hart, DATE)
Hart promotes the need for a clear distinction between law and morality on two levels. Firstly the
Social and hermeneutic level in regards to both law and morality sharing vocabulary in both structure
and function showing that in many societies legal rules will match their moral rules. Second a logic
and hypothetical level Hart believes in the possibility of a legal system existing without the influence
of morality as there are cases were legal systems do not match the moral grounds of society.( see
Austins command theory and the idea of one sovereign ruling all) (SOURCE)
Hart s idea is this: All one/society needs is a legal system based on the four rules.
This paper will demonstrate how Hart s account of the relationship between law and morality shows
an understanding of how they both work together yet can also work as separate entities. It will take a
specific look into the internal point of view to aid the understanding of why

Essay on Tupac is Alive, Not Dead
In the same fashion that Elvis defined Rock n Roll; Tupac Shakur defined the hip hop music scene, as
we know it today. What made Tupac (also known as 2Pac, or Makaveli) so special were his enormous
talent, his on screen friendly looks, and the sense that he was real and talked the talk, while walking
the walk. Tupac was born on June 16, 1971, Tupac Amaru Shakur. He was named after Tupac Amaru,
the Inca Indian that was sentenced to death by the Spaniards. He was originally from Brooklyn, New
York. Tupac spent a lot of time moving around as he was growing up. He was the son of a Black
Panther activist Afeni Shakur and Billy Garland. Tupac moved from Harlem, to Baltimore, to
Oakland. The constant moving caused Tupac to fit into his new ... Show more content on

that Tupac was convicted, he was shot five times and robbed of his jewelry in a mugging Tupac

responsible for hiring those who shot him. This intensified the East Coast West Coast feud (Venable

Mama became a hit. Later on, Marion Suge Knight the CEO of Death Row Records record label that
Tupac would sign to later on, posted $1.4 million dollars in bail to get Tupac out of prison. He
immediately flew off to Los Angeles to record his fourth album. In an apparent attempt to further

assassinated the character of Bad Boy Records, B.I.G., Sean Puffy Combs (B.I.G. s best friend), and
others on the Bad Boy label. He returned to

Arthurian Legend Essay
Arthurian Legend
Even though the Arthur legend is hundreds of years old, our culture today is still fascinated with the
idea of the Round Table and the love triangle between Arthur, Lancelot, and Guinevere. There are
movies and books galore to read about the different takes on the legend of Arthur. However, it makes
one wonder if our culture really understands the Arthurian legend. Especially in the movies the central
idea of a literary work can be lost. Compared to Malory s Le Morte d Arthur have movies lost sight of
what the Arthurian legend tries to teach?
Le Morte d Arthur has several different themes working within in for Hollywood to choose from. An
easy one for moviemakers is the glorification of the hero. In Malory s work ... Show more content on

Unfortunately, the Round Table is destroyed by the above mentioned betrayal.
Another theme that is also borrowed from Beowulf is the idea of the sword representing destruction.
The sword in the stone is what starts a great deal of the trouble. The sword is what continues to start
such trouble. Merlin warns Arthur that the sword is better off in its sheath but Arthur does not listen.
Instead, the sword is used to try to solve problems and ends up creating many more.
The last major theme was a common one during the time Malory was writing: courtly love. This
theme is definitely something our culture has dwelled on. The idea of two lovers who cannot be
together because of marriage is all too interesting for the culture that is also obsessed with soap
operas. One could say that many more movies that do not even mention Arthur could be based on the
Arthurian legend if they imitate courtly love. Any movie with a love triangle could be game. However,
the key element of courtly love is that there must be a third party. If the love is not forbidden it just is
not worth the trouble.
The first movie examined for the comparison was Disney s The Sword in the Stone. Without even
watching it, one knows there are striking differences. One main reason for several differences if that
the movie is a cartoon and is geared towards children. A children s movie is not going to try to

How To Write An Essay About Six Flags
During holiday vacations, families enjoy traveling to theme parks at a low cost. People usually pick
their destination depending on many factors including price, friendly environment, events, rides, and
food. If the family does not like a certain thing about the theme park, they will choose something else.
Six Flags has been one the most famous theme parks that family and friends attend because it meet
everyone s expectations. One of their most famous parks is Six Flags Fiesta Texas located in San
Antonio, Texas. Six Flags has different types of tickets and options for purchasing those tickets. For
example, an adult ticket for one day can be purchased at the gate for $78 or online for $65, in addition
to daily parking for $15. Someone with a family of four might be interested in getting a membership
or season pass in order to meet everyone s plans while at the park. Season passes tend to be more
expensive, at $91 each, but they do include unlimited visits, parking, and many additional benefits.

The Pros and Cons of a Multi-Soumyers-Briggs Type...

authors of the test are Katharine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers. Katherine and Isabel are a mother
and daughter team that worked on the test together. They were influenced by the Swiss psychologist,
Carl Jung. In 1921, he published his ideas regarding different personality. Since Catherine and Isabel

the 40s, 50s and 60s in order to get additional information for their own test. (The Myers Briggs

aspects that are noted as being part of the ethical process are provided on the Myers Briggs

Animal Farm Satire
Often in life, men and women are forced to pause in their states of mind to ponder the world in which
they live, often involving politics and similar forms of existence. Fortunately, certain noble authors
compose written thoughts which make this easier to do. One of these, however, rises above the rest.
Animal Farm, by George Orwell, deserves to be a classic because it functions on so many levels, as a
novel, a satire, a fable and an allegory. Whether for better or for worse, any classical piece of literature
falls under one type, and that type is a novel.A novel is a narrative book which uses fictional

leaving only one thing; the length. Animal Farm checks in at 139 pages of medium text, short enough

West Nile Virus Vaccine Analysis
The most sophisticated way may be to avoid the mosquitos altogether. According to the World Health
Organization More than a handful governments and pharmaceutical companies are working on a
vaccine for Zika. Some are hunting old fashioned vaccines, like the ones used to protect from measles
and chicken pox; these vaccines stimulate the body s immune response by exposing it to a faded
version of the virus or just simply to the molecules from a virus that cause the body to produce
antibodies. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) mentioned that by
following the blueprint used to create a vaccine for the mosquito borne West Nile virus would be a
cheaper and faster way around it. That technique relies on injecting DNA particles normally found
inside the cells of a bacteria that are separated from a cell s DNA and can duplicate by itself. DNA
molecules (plasmids) have the advantage of carrying the DNA code for their virus antigens, without
being contagious, therefore stimulating the body s autoimmune response. So far, the plasmid based
West Nile virus vaccine was successful in its early experimental tests. ... Show more content on

Liberia
Liberia is unlikely most Sub Saharan countries, because Liberia has always been what is called a free

Liberia quickly became a republic by 1847 with the helping hand of American Politics. While Liberia
was not colonized in the traditional sense. Liberia still displayed some problems that traditionally
colonized countries suffered from. Liberia suffered the mirroring image problem, the two publics
problem, and corruption.
Liberia, like many French and British colonies, wanted to mirror the white republic and be the black
republic. Essentially Liberia wanted to be the Black United States of America. This is what some
historians call the African Bourgeois point of view. Citizens of Liberia where previously freed

Although FMLA is an advancement, the act has numerous gaps. Research shows that because the
purpose of FMLA is to broadly aid all companies equally, the government is not able to have full
control of FMLA and only establishes rules that dictates who eligible employees are (citation).
Therefore, not all workers are able to qualify for this program; one has to be employed for at least 12
months in the same company and work a minimum of 1,250 hours prior to approval (The United

Specifically, researchers analyzed all the states on how well the government protects company

Peptic Ulcer Disease and Pediatric Patients
PUD is not as common in pediatric patients when compared to adult incidences. The most common
cause of PUD in pediatrics is due to Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) infection (Guariso Gasparetto,
2012). Primitive ulcers, due to H. pylori, cause changes in the gastric or duodenal mucosa and alter
gastric function such as overproduction of HCl and pepsin, resulting in ulcer forming lesions (Guariso
Gasparetto, 2012). NSAIDs, stress and other extra gastric pathogenic events cause secondary ulcers
within the stomach. The underlying pathology of PUD is due to the reduction of prostaglandins that
serve as a protective mechanism on the gastric mucosa. Patients most commonly present with dull
stomach ache or pain usually after a meal. Gas, bloating, nausea and vomiting are some less common
symptoms. PUD, although rare when compared to adults, is reported worldwide in children and most
commonly identified as initiated by H. pylori infection and the use of NSAIDs occurring in the second
decade of life. Other events such as stress, shock, or major trauma can trigger acute ulcers in children
but there is a hereditary family history component that increases acid output and accelerates gastric
emptying in more than 20% of patients (Guariso Gasparetto, 2012). Although H. pylori infection is the
more common cause of PUD, the use of NSAIDs increases the risk of acquiring PUD (Guariso
Gasparetto, 2012).

Comparing Randall Jarrell s Say Good-Bye To Big Daddy
No matter how big or great one is, he cannot escape death. In Randall Jarrell s 1963 writing of Say
Good bye to Big Daddy, the poet describes Big Daddy Lipscomb as a football lineman superstar. His
goliath size makes him impenetrable on the football field. Randall describes Big Daddy as the Rock of
Gibraltar ; however, it may also be Big Daddy s sportsmanship and compassion for others that has
made him a superstar. Although he was capable of pulling the largest of men to the ground, he was
always sure to help them back up. Big Daddy is conscious of the fact that his actions are viewed by
not only adults but also young impressionable children. He doesn t want those young minds to think of
him in a negative manner, and this is one reason he helps those he tackles back to their feet. Big
Daddy is viewed by his fans as invincible. As they watch him play from the comfort of their home,
they are mesmerized by his size and skill. Jarrell writes, The big black man in the television set whom

Homelessness In New York City
I. Define the Problem
For anyone living in or visiting New York City, the site of a homeless person is almost guaranteed.
Whether riding the subway, taking in the lights in Times Square, or going for a stroll in Central Park,
one is bound to see a homeless person. Homelessness does not discriminate; men and women can be
seen sleeping over a subway grate. Age is not a discriminatory factor either. Many a times one will see
a mother with her child/children sitting on the steps of a church begging for food and money.
These fairly simple observations lead to a non subjective conclusion; there are too many homeless
people in New York City. There will obviously always be some level of homelessness; it would be
naïve to assume that homelessness could be completely eliminated. However, the excessive level of
homelessness can be attributed to market failures across various market structures. This policy
proposal attempts to offer alternative solutions to alleviating these market failures, in the hopes that it
will translate into a decreased level of homelessness in New York City.
II. Assembling the Evidence
New York City has had an obligation to provide the homeless with secured shelter since 1979; during
this time, a veteran of the Korean War sued the city for failing to provide him with adequate housing.
Since then, the provision of providing a home to those who are unable to afford one was amended into
the New York State constitution, where it states the aid, care, and support

Examples Of Circe s Power In The Odyssey
Circe s Power is a poem that tells a portion of The Odyssey from Circe s perspective. It reflects upon
and expands upon themes and ideas prevalent in The Odyssey. Some of these include the idea of not
wanting to go home and the theme of illusion versus reality. Throughout the novel, it has been shown
that after going to war, Odysseus and his men aren t the same as when they left. Also, despite the fact
that they are on a journey home, they keep going in circles, both internally and externally. In the
poem, Circe acknowledges the fact that Odysseus men aren t bad men, but an undisciplined life
caused them to act like pigs. However, she and her ladies sweetened them right up. This sweetening

Essay on A Migrant’s Search for a Better Life
In this essay, I shall portray an episode in the life of a migrant who came to a land, much different
from his own, in search of a better life. Parallels will be drawn between this man s experience and
those of several migrant figures within the texts and readings assigned throughout this course. The
reader will meet the subject of my study and find that the search for attaining a better life does not
always require following the expected or typical path. Dreams for a future may revolve around one
goal at the outset yet focus on a different issue in the final outcome. In addition, the underlying global

The Taj Mahal Statue Of Liberty And Washington Monument
When one thinks about famous monumental structures, the Taj Mahal, Statue of Liberty, and
Washington Monument may come to mind. The Angkor Wat, however, is one of the largest and best
preserved monuments of the Angkor group that most do not think about. This monument was built in
the 12th century by King Suryavarman II in Angkor, which is modern day Cambodia. This monument
is the world s largest religious structure and measures to be about 400 acres. It is built entirely of
stone, which is rather unique considering the intense details that appear on every surface of this
structure. The building was originally meant to be a means of making claims to political offices more
legitimate. They also wanted the powers of their gods to be protected. Hindu temples are not a place
for religious congregation;instead; they are homes of the god (Rod). About 1,200 square meters of bas
reliefs are carved on the walls of the Angkor Wat. These bas reliefs represent eight different Hindu
stories. The Angkor Wat also has an expanded enclosed wall to separate sacred temple grounds from
the rest of the city. Early Cambodia was mostly divided into rival states up until King Jayavarman II
founded the Khmer Empire. The Khmer Empire was filled with an overwhelming amount of thriving
agriculture and most Khmers were animists. This means that they believed that many spirits contained
natural phenomenons. Much of the temples in Cambodia were made of fine stone carvings, which is
rather unique.

Catholic Social Teaching Of Human Dignity In Nursing
The guiding principles of Catholic Social Teaching have the overarching, dominating theme of human
dignity (Condit, 2016, p. 371). The focus is, that human beings were formed in God s image and in
return, humanities purpose is to follow in God s footsteps and portray the same love and grace
(Coleman, 2008) (Condit, 2016, p. 371). Consequently, this affects how human beings interact with
each other, requiring commitment, to look after, encourage, maintain and promote each other
(Coleman, 2008) (Herbert, 2016, p. 7). One way to apply, this Catholic Social Teaching of human
dignity, is to understand the nurse s relationship with the patient. Nurses need to approach the patient
with respect and maintain the person s privacy, acknowledging that they are a fellow human being,
with their own personal characteristics and beliefs (Condit, 2016, p. 371) (Walsh Kowanko, 2002, p.

allows the nurse, to give patient centred care (Kitson et al., 2014, p. 333) (Walsh Kowanko, 2002, p.

Network Performance Quality Of Service Project Report
The aim of this project is to investigate and implement a standardised way to monitor and improve
quality of service for a user with devices connected to the internet of things. Although there are
several papers referring to the need for this, any implementation has been on an ad hoc bases for
specific devices/issues and not rolled out as a standard approach.
The approach this project is taking is to implement an algorithm which will monitor a network and
work to improve its quality or service through different protocols. It will not be specific to just one
application and the end goal would be the algorithm working with all types of IoT devices and handle
a range of issues. 2. The Problem
Network performance Quality of Service (QoS) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is therefore interesting that this area remains to be unstandardized today.
The researcher in this paper proposes that the problem is responded to by a QoS architecture based on
IoT layered structure. This architecture sets QoS agent in lower layers then transmits QoS
requirements, trying to guarantee the consistency as well as effectively use the existing QoS
mechanisms in every layer. (Duan, Chen and Xing, 2011)
Other research suggests that the integration between IoT and other technologies such as Cloud
Computing is in its infantile phase and it has not been extended to all application domains due to its
inadequate quality of service architecture. (T, S and A, 2015) . We see here the lack of QoS in the IoT
also has an impact on the future and extendibility of the IoT. Within this area of QoS, which continues
to be actively researched, there is still a gap in any currently available solution. This project aims to
contribute to this gap.
3. The Proposed Solution
The proposed solution is to develop a protocol, a set of rules, to monitor application performance and
the real time state of the network in the Internet of Things (IoT). The objective of this ruleset is to
achieve Quality of Service (QoS) from the network perspective and Quality of Experience (QoE) from
the user perspective. This ruleset will support a range of devices and applications in the IoT. There
will also be consideration taken into

wife, the knight/husband, the lovesick squire, and the magician. The whole main plot of the story is
that the squire is trying to take away the wife as an illicit lover. However remaining loyal to her

The Physics of Piano
One of the most common musical instruments in many homes is the piano; and most people have the
opportunity for even a few lessons in their youth. However, despite the simplicity of its lines and keys
(88 keys), 2 3 pedals on the modern piano, and either upright (vertical) or grand style (horizontal), the
physics of the piano are both interesting and complex. The modern piano is a descendent of the
harpsichord, which used a plucking technique much like that of plucking the strings of a harp or lute.
Bartolomeo Crisotofori, an Italian craftsman, substituted felt hammers in place of the plucking
mechanism, making the instrument capable of graduations of tone and timber. He called his new
instrument the Gravicembalo col piano e forte (a harpsichord with louds and softs). This was later
shortened to the piano and with critiques from Baroque composers like Bach, a number of
improvements were made to sound quality and tonality eventually emerging as the preferred keyboard
instrument for Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven. Over the course of centuries to different piano types
have emerged. The grand piano, from 5 6 to 8 or 9 in length horizontal to the upright piano, more
suitable for the home, which also exists in differing sizes, 3 5; in height (Parakilas). The mechanism of
a piano consists of pressing on a key (either black or white) on the keyboard causing a felt covered
hammer to strike steel strings that are various lengths and tensions. The hammers rebound; allowing

Summary Of The Little Albert Experiment
Reading the Little Albert experiment, I found it to be very entertaining. John B. Watson was a
behaviorist whom headed out an famous psychology experiment with a graduate student named
Rosalie Raynor. Apparently the goal of their experiment was to demonstrate if it was possible to
manifest a fear reaction. The fear reaction would be to a previously neutral stimuli through experience
. In order to show their experiment they used a nine month old baby boy from the hospital. This child
was waiting to be adopted. The baby name was Albert which is where the Little Albert experiment
name came from. Therefore, Watson and Rayner wanted to make sure that their fear producing stimuli
would work on baby Albert. The first thing they tried was removing support that consisted of pulling
on the blanket Albert was lying. They wanted to pull this out from underneath him. This did nothing
but upset Albert. He s a tough fellow. I would not want anyone yanking anything from under me. Next
they decided to test a loud noise as the fear stimulus. They did this by banging a steel bar with a
hammer. Once again this made Albert very upset and the poor baby started to cry. However, this made
Watson and Rayer ready to begin their conditioning experiment with baby Albert. They exposed the
baby boy to a series of stimuli. This included a white rat, a monkey and a rabbit to observe the baby
boy reaction. Amazingly enough Watson and Rayner received no reaction from him. ... Show more

The Issue Of Child Labor
The issue of child labor has drawn significant attention since early 1990s as many labor union and
special interest groups advocate banning import of goods produced by the child labor in developing
countries and the international consensus in the form of Convention on the Right of the Child (CRC)
which is widely ratified in 1989 by countries (Boyden, Ling and Myers, 1998). However, concern
regarding child labor is not new and can be dated back to industrial revolution, especially late
eighteenth and early nineteenth century, in England many parents were helpless but to send their
children to work to cope the increasing poverty and inequality. (Horrell and Humphries, 1995;

There have been steady decline in the incidence of child s exposure to hazardous work and child labor
on balance. However, the recent estimates of child labor are still astonishingly high and the trend
predict even slower pace of decline in child labor. According to ILO report in 2012, for age group 5 17
years 16.7 percent (or 264,427 in absolute number) of children are in some form of employment, 10.6
percent (equivalently 167,956) is considered as child labor, and 5.4 percent (equivalently 85,344) is
involved in hazardous work. Although these figures are lower than the corresponding figures in 2000,
the absolute numbers of child labor are still very high (ILO 2013). Policy measures adopted to reduce
child labor are derived from an increasing number of theoretical and empirical research on this issue
specially since late 1990s. Theoretical studies use the household decision making model to explain the
incidence of child labor and attempt to find the determinants of child labor. Initial models that attempt
to explain the phenomenon of child labor assume an exploitative household where child is considered
household s asset and parents are the sole decision maker who maximizes their welfare disregarding

Vaccines Are The Tugboats Of Preventative Health
As stated by Dr. James A. Shannon of the National Institutes of Health, The only safe vaccine is a
vaccine that is never used (Shannon). In order to stay safe, vaccinations for children should not be a
requirement because it diminishes the values and beliefs of various religions, is used for profit only,
and the risks associated with vaccinations are life threatening. However, these reasons do not
outweigh the benefits of being vaccinated. As stated by William Foege, Vaccines are the tugboats of
preventative health . In regards to preventative health, vaccinations should be given to children to
prevent them from diseases that could potentially inhibit their future and the generations
beyond.Vaccinations do more good than harm, prevent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After surveying pediatricians throughout the United States, 70% of parents are using their pro choice
option and not vaccinating their children. The same survey provided information stating that 4% of
pediatricians do not vaccinate their own children. These pro choice beliefs are often biased upon
political beliefs as well. Such theories can be seen in conservatives. Conservatives are pro choice and
are wary of the information provided to the public (Rabinowitz). Taken into consideration, political
beliefs are a combination of religion, morals, and other political influences. Stereotypes have not been
associated with pro choice political parties. This lack of stereotyping has allowed pro choice views to
become more of a norm. Therefore, the pressure to vaccinate the child is not evaluated as a lack in
human judgement, but rather a difference in opinion and beliefs that allow parents to not vaccinate
their child. The second debateable topic is that vaccinations are just for profit, not for safety. This
refusal is linked to the beliefs that vaccines are not safe, vaccines have ultimately killed children, the
government protect the pharmaceutical companies, and that pharmaceutical companies are just
personally profiting from vaccinations (Gullion). Such profits can be seen when looking at the ACIP.
The ACIP recommends which vaccinations the states should mandate. In return, the board members of
this organization receive profit. Therefore,

The War Of Canada During The Great War
At the end of the Great War, Canada plunged into economic darkness; the once powerful war industry
was no longer needed and factories shut down all over the country, causing unemployment for
civilians and veterans alike to skyrocket. This reflected on the military of Canada; vehicles that were
destroyed were not replaced; the number of permanent forces and militia barely grew. Canada s
military saw a period of inactivity that would even cause land, sea and air components merged as a
singular entity due to the Great Depression s effect on the military budget. However, the peace was not
to last. As Adolf Hitler s Germany appeared and showed the world its intentions, nations gathered and
Canada committed an important act demonstrating its independence as a nation; Canada declared war.
Viewed for a long time as a British colony even after Confederation, Canada took a stand against a
virtually universally recognized evil alongside the major powers of the world at the time. Canada s
participation in conflicts in many different operations throughout WWII demonstrated its military
effectiveness, but its important role in the D Day landings defined Canada s military competency
through the crucial Operation Overlord, dubbed by some as the beginning of the end of the Second
World War, in Normandy. Canada s role in Operation Overlord in Normandy solidified the military
structure that is our modern military and sculpted the image of an independent nation through Canada
s military

Please provide Skype:
My skype is synapse.pvp.2.
Have you been staff on any other server?:
Yes, I have been staff on a server called HGKits. HGKits was a server that was based on the McPvP s
hunger game kits. I was Mod+ in the end when sadly I had to resign because the owner quit the server
due to the lack of funds at the end. (My IGN on that server was Crummzyy). I have also been
developer on a server called SparkzPvP but that server also went because the owner quit Minecraft.
However I do not currently develop today since I have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some people would say that I do not deserve to be staff, and others might say that I do deserve to be
apart of the staff team. If I am going to be completely honest I do not think that I am very different
from The crowd . I want to help the server by become staff and helping players, banning hackers and
doing anything that a player needs (If they have a good reason for me to do it). If you want to choose
someone else that isn t my choice it is all up to you, but I believe I would be a good pick. Why I
should be accepted however is that I am nice to players and will help them with their problems, ban
hackers and overall be a positive player toward people. Again, it is totally the opinion that matters if I
stand out from the crowd, I believe that I am not very different in someways from The crowd but
different in others. I have experience in being a staff member and can screenshare players and know
when people are just flat out cheating, or lying to me about

  • 2. Daddy s Hands Research Paper Daddy s Hands Teenage girls lives are shaped in many different ways. Everything is a big deal to a teenage girl; what she wears, what she participates in, and who she dates. A girl s relationship with her father strongly influences her life. Whether the relationship with her father is good or bad, the daughter will be effected by it. There are four main types of fathers: the Absentee Father, the Intermittent Father, the Abusive Father, and the Perfect Father. A father s relationship with his daughter influences her opinion of men, therefore she judges every man based on her father s example. This impacts her dating life, social life, and leads to more relationship issues with men throughout life. A girl s life is greatly impacted by her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In an article about fathers leaving affecting his daughters, it says, As the first man in her life, the young girl s father creates the prototype for her ideal partner consciously and unconsciously. He goes on to be experienced by his pubescent daughter as the mirror on the wall the ultimate reflection, not only of her fairness but her desirability (Kavanagh, 2002). A father is the man she loved first and is supposed to be a little girl s favorite man. Her daddy is the person who is supposed to be there for her from the moment she is born, to the moment he dies. The Perfect Father is the most important man in his daughter s life and is involved in all her decisions. This may cause the daughter to be indecisive because she relies too much on her father. It may lead to the daughter comparing every man to her father, and some may not measure up. Some girls even look for a man to marry that is exactly like her father. In my opinion, I think that having your father be the role model for a future husband is ideal. A girl is used to the way her father acts and finding someone like him would be an easy transition. The Perfect Father may not always be the ideal father for everyone, but for me it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

China Occupation During the occupation of China by Japan, a time of slaughter for civilians and soldiers alike, the international committee built a safety zone to protect innocent civilians from the chaos. The zone help saved over 200,000 Chinese civilians from the ruthless slaughters during the Nanking Massacre of 1937, and later stayed to help rebuild Nanjing after the Devastation attack. Each country has different views of what they believe was the start of WWII. But Asians trace the war s beginnings all the way back to Japan s first attempt to dominate East Asia the occupation of Manchuria in 1931 (Schreiber 1) John Rabe described on the first page of his diary how the Japanese declare this occupation as a sovereign state, however, in reality, it ... During this time, many rich Chinese, as well as Germans and Americans has fled Nanking, many up to Hankow by the Yangtze River. We can establish that because the director started with a wide angle shot in the beginning to show us the preview of the setting. Throughout the movie, Lucas does this to emphasize where it takes place and how the surrounding fits with the characters. Star Wars doesn t use many close ups and I think Lucas does this to emphasize the characters and their costumes. Star wars is also known for its use of special effects. Introduction: Natural law theorists believe that all law must be morally justified if it can be legitimised as law at all. Legal positivism means the simple contention that it is in no sense a necessary truth that laws reproduce or satisfy certain demands of morality, though in fact they have otherwise done so. (Hart, DATE) In Hart s eyes, though there may be a congruence between law and morality, it is by no means a necessary connection. (Hart, DATE) Hart promotes the need for a clear distinction between law and morality on two levels. Firstly the Social and hermeneutic level in regards to both law and morality sharing vocabulary in both structure and function showing that in many societies legal rules will match their moral rules. Second a logic and hypothetical level Hart believes in the possibility of a legal system existing without the influence of morality as there are cases were legal systems do not match the moral grounds of society.( see Austins command theory and the idea of one sovereign ruling all) (SOURCE) Hart s idea is this: All one/society needs is a legal system based on the four rules. According to the World Health Organization More than a handful governments and pharmaceutical companies are working on a vaccine for Zika. Some are hunting old fashioned vaccines, like the ones used to protect from measles and chicken pox; these vaccines stimulate the body s immune response by exposing it to a faded version of the virus or just simply to the molecules from a virus that cause the body to produce antibodies. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) mentioned that by following the blueprint used to create a vaccine for the mosquito borne West Nile virus would be a cheaper and faster way around it. That technique relies on injecting DNA particles normally found inside the cells of a bacteria that are separated from a cell s DNA and can duplicate by itself. • 23. Peptic Ulcer Disease and Pediatric Patients PUD is not as common in pediatric patients when compared to adult incidences. The most common cause of PUD in pediatrics is due to Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) infection (Guariso Gasparetto, 2012). Primitive ulcers, due to H. pylori, cause changes in the gastric or duodenal mucosa and alter gastric function such as overproduction of HCl and pepsin, resulting in ulcer forming lesions (Guariso Gasparetto, 2012). NSAIDs, stress and other extra gastric pathogenic events cause secondary ulcers within the stomach. The underlying pathology of PUD is due to the reduction of prostaglandins that serve as a protective mechanism on the gastric mucosa. Patients most commonly present with dull stomach ache or pain usually after a meal. Gas, bloating, nausea and vomiting are some less common symptoms. PUD, although rare when compared to adults, is reported worldwide in children and most commonly identified as initiated by H. pylori infection and the use of NSAIDs occurring in the second decade of life. • 26. Homelessness In New York City I. Define the Problem For anyone living in or visiting New York City, the site of a homeless person is almost guaranteed. Whether riding the subway, taking in the lights in Times Square, or going for a stroll in Central Park, one is bound to see a homeless person. Homelessness does not discriminate; men and women can be seen sleeping over a subway grate. Age is not a discriminatory factor either. Many a times one will see a mother with her child/children sitting on the steps of a church begging for food and money. These fairly simple observations lead to a non subjective conclusion; there are too many homeless people in New York City. There will obviously always be some level of homelessness; it would be naïve to assume that homelessness could be completely eliminated. However, the excessive level of homelessness can be attributed to market failures across various market structures. This policy proposal attempts to offer alternative solutions to alleviating these market failures, in the hopes that it will translate into a decreased level of homelessness in New York City. II. Assembling the Evidence New York City has had an obligation to provide the homeless with secured shelter since 1979; during this time, a veteran of the Korean War sued the city for failing to provide him with adequate housing. Since then, the provision of providing a home to those who are unable to afford one was amended into the New York State constitution, where it states the aid, care, and support ... It reflects upon and expands upon themes and ideas prevalent in The Odyssey. Some of these include the idea of not wanting to go home and the theme of illusion versus reality. Throughout the novel, it has been shown that after going to war, Odysseus and his men aren t the same as when they left. Also, despite the fact that they are on a journey home, they keep going in circles, both internally and externally. In the poem, Circe acknowledges the fact that Odysseus men aren t bad men, but an undisciplined life caused them to act like pigs. However, she and her ladies sweetened them right up. Parallels will be drawn between this man s experience and those of several migrant figures within the texts and readings assigned throughout this course. The reader will meet the subject of my study and find that the search for attaining a better life does not always require following the expected or typical path. Dreams for a future may revolve around one goal at the outset yet focus on a different issue in the final outcome. In addition, the underlying global nature of the impetus for uprooting oneself from homeland and family and migrating to a foreign land thousands of miles away or ... The Angkor Wat, however, is one of the largest and best preserved monuments of the Angkor group that most do not think about. This monument was built in the 12th century by King Suryavarman II in Angkor, which is modern day Cambodia. This monument is the world s largest religious structure and measures to be about 400 acres. It is built entirely of stone, which is rather unique considering the intense details that appear on every surface of this structure. The building was originally meant to be a means of making claims to political offices more legitimate. They also wanted the powers of their gods to be protected. Hindu temples are not a place for religious congregation;instead; they are homes of the god (Rod). About 1,200 square meters of bas reliefs are carved on the walls of the Angkor Wat. These bas reliefs represent eight different Hindu stories. The Angkor Wat also has an expanded enclosed wall to separate sacred temple grounds from the rest of the city. Early Cambodia was mostly divided into rival states up until King Jayavarman II founded the Khmer Empire. The Khmer Empire was filled with an overwhelming amount of thriving agriculture and most Khmers were animists. This means that they believed that many spirits contained natural phenomenons. • 32. Catholic Social Teaching Of Human Dignity In Nursing The guiding principles of Catholic Social Teaching have the overarching, dominating theme of human dignity (Condit, 2016, p. 371). The focus is, that human beings were formed in God s image and in return, humanities purpose is to follow in God s footsteps and portray the same love and grace (Coleman, 2008) (Condit, 2016, p. 371). Consequently, this affects how human beings interact with each other, requiring commitment, to look after, encourage, maintain and promote each other (Coleman, 2008) (Herbert, 2016, p. 7). One way to apply, this Catholic Social Teaching of human dignity, is to understand the nurse s relationship with the patient. Nurses need to approach the patient with respect and maintain the person s privacy, acknowledging that they are a fellow human being, with their own personal characteristics and beliefs (Condit, 2016, p. 371) (Walsh Kowanko, 2002, p. 143 144, 149). ... • 33. Network Performance Quality Of Service Project Report The aim of this project is to investigate and implement a standardised way to monitor and improve quality of service for a user with devices connected to the internet of things. Although there are several papers referring to the need for this, any implementation has been on an ad hoc bases for specific devices/issues and not rolled out as a standard approach. The approach this project is taking is to implement an algorithm which will monitor a network and work to improve its quality or service through different protocols. It will not be specific to just one application and the end goal would be the algorithm working with all types of IoT devices and handle a range of issues. 2. The Problem Network performance Quality of Service (QoS) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is therefore interesting that this area remains to be unstandardized today. The researcher in this paper proposes that the problem is responded to by a QoS architecture based on IoT layered structure. This architecture sets QoS agent in lower layers then transmits QoS requirements, trying to guarantee the consistency as well as effectively use the existing QoS mechanisms in every layer. (Duan, Chen and Xing, 2011) Other research suggests that the integration between IoT and other technologies such as Cloud Computing is in its infantile phase and it has not been extended to all application domains due to its inadequate quality of service architecture. (T, S and A, 2015) . We see here the lack of QoS in the IoT also has an impact on the future and extendibility of the IoT. Within this area of QoS, which continues to be actively researched, there is still a gap in any currently available solution. This project aims to contribute to this gap. 3. The Proposed Solution The proposed solution is to develop a protocol, a set of rules, to monitor application performance and the real time state of the network in the Internet of Things (IoT). However, despite the simplicity of its lines and keys (88 keys), 2 3 pedals on the modern piano, and either upright (vertical) or grand style (horizontal), the physics of the piano are both interesting and complex. The modern piano is a descendent of the harpsichord, which used a plucking technique much like that of plucking the strings of a harp or lute. Bartolomeo Crisotofori, an Italian craftsman, substituted felt hammers in place of the plucking mechanism, making the instrument capable of graduations of tone and timber. He called his new instrument the Gravicembalo col piano e forte (a harpsichord with louds and softs). This was later shortened to the piano and with critiques from Baroque composers like Bach, a number of improvements were made to sound quality and tonality eventually emerging as the preferred keyboard instrument for Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven. Over the course of centuries to different piano types have emerged. The grand piano, from 5 6 to 8 or 9 in length horizontal to the upright piano, more suitable for the home, which also exists in differing sizes, 3 5; in height (Parakilas). The mechanism of a piano consists of pressing on a key (either black or white) on the keyboard causing a felt covered hammer to strike steel strings that are various lengths and tensions. Apparently the goal of their experiment was to demonstrate if it was possible to manifest a fear reaction. The fear reaction would be to a previously neutral stimuli through experience . In order to show their experiment they used a nine month old baby boy from the hospital. This child was waiting to be adopted. The baby name was Albert which is where the Little Albert experiment name came from. Therefore, Watson and Rayner wanted to make sure that their fear producing stimuli would work on baby Albert. The first thing they tried was removing support that consisted of pulling on the blanket Albert was lying. They wanted to pull this out from underneath him. This did nothing but upset Albert. He s a tough fellow. I would not want anyone yanking anything from under me. Next they decided to test a loud noise as the fear stimulus. They did this by banging a steel bar with a hammer. Once again this made Albert very upset and the poor baby started to cry. However, this made Watson and Rayer ready to begin their conditioning experiment with baby Albert. They exposed the baby boy to a series of stimuli. This included a white rat, a monkey and a rabbit to observe the baby boy reaction. The Issue Of Child Labor The issue of child labor has drawn significant attention since early 1990s as many labor union and special interest groups advocate banning import of goods produced by the child labor in developing countries and the international consensus in the form of Convention on the Right of the Child (CRC) which is widely ratified in 1989 by countries (Boyden, Ling and Myers, 1998). However, concern regarding child labor is not new and can be dated back to industrial revolution, especially late eighteenth and early nineteenth century, in England many parents were helpless but to send their children to work to cope the increasing poverty and inequality. Policy measures adopted to reduce child labor are derived from an increasing number of theoretical and empirical research on this issue specially since late 1990s. Theoretical studies use the household decision making model to explain the incidence of child labor and attempt to find the determinants of child labor. The same survey provided information stating that 4% of pediatricians do not vaccinate their own children. These pro choice beliefs are often biased upon political beliefs as well. Such theories can be seen in conservatives. Conservatives are pro choice and are wary of the information provided to the public (Rabinowitz). This lack of stereotyping has allowed pro choice views to become more of a norm. The second debateable topic is that vaccinations are just for profit, not for safety. This refusal is linked to the beliefs that vaccines are not safe, vaccines have ultimately killed children, the government protect the pharmaceutical companies, and that pharmaceutical companies are just personally profiting from vaccinations (Gullion).
