2. Analysis Of The Play Blood Wedding
I chose to review and research the play Blood Wedding. The setting of the play was placed in Spain
during the early 1930 s. It is based on a true story. In 1928, a young man was murdered by his cousin
in Madrid the night before his wedding. The play gives more detail to what happened with a bride who
is stuck between getting married to someone new than being with someone she loves that she has
known from years ago before she met her fiancé. The main characters of this play are the bride,
bridegroom, and the bridegroom s mother. The mother dug into their business involving relationships
with the bride, another man and her family, but the main conflict is the actual murder scene of the two
men, the bridegroom and Leonardo, who is the other man the bride had feelings for. This scene left the
bride feeling hopeless. Blood Wedding is play that focuses mainly on society roles of men and
women. It was more of a traditional society than what it is like today. Women are known to be the care
givers and stay at home moms that sew, cook, and clean. This play pursues the way women were
treated and thought low of back in history. During the play, the bride mentioned that she wishes she
were a man because she would have more opportunities and be able to be with who she wanted to
marry. Also, the bride s mother in law mentioned several times that she wants grandchildren, exactly
six and hopefully girls, so she can teach them how to sew. This is wrong because people should not
assume that

3. Political Advocacy in Anarchist Punk Music Essay
Political Advocacy in Anarchist Punk Music
Anarchist political advocacy has been a driving force in punk music since its emergence in the 1970s.
Although the basic philosophy has remained unchanged, punks have significantly altered the ways
they espouse their beliefs, over time becoming more militant and directly confrontational with those
that hold power. This paper attempts use quantitative and qualitative analysis to determine how
significantly anarcho punk political advocacy has changed between the early 1980s and present day.
Additionally, this paper argues that increased militancy is a byproduct of the progressive
masculinization of punk music, which generates confusion over political roles. This role confusion

The data for the bands were pooled into groups for their respective historical time periods. The study
additionally employed qualitative analysis of the lyrics of key songs from the bands, and gave
consideration to documented political and social activism beyond the bands music.
Results and Analysis
Descriptive statistical analysis of the song data indicates that contemporary US punks are much more
likely to write songs with lyrics about the state or other insider institutions. US punks are also more
likely to address insiders with the personal pronoun you , suggesting a major shift in the rhetorical
structure of punk music over a period of less than 20 years. Table 1 summarizes the raw data by group.
Group 1970s UK Punk Contemporary US Punk
Total Number of songs 30 30
Songs referencing insider institutions 7 17
Songs addressing insider institutions with personal pronouns 2 16
Table 1 Power Play: Political Advocacy in Anarchist Punk Music
As a proportion of total songs in the sample, 23.3% of songs from the UK group contain a reference to
an insider individual or institution, while 6.7% address that insider directly. As a proportion of the
subset, 28.7% of songs from the UK group about insiders are directed at them. Among the songs in US

4. American Ideal In The 1950s
Media and suburbs have defined and shaped American ideals in various ways, ranging from the ideal
family structure in America, the ideal appearance and behavior of individuals to the ideal social
arrangement and division in America.
Media defined the America dream as the ability of a family to live in suburbs and follow the gender
specific functions in American society. Through overwhelming representations of suburbia in media,
suburb living was shaped as an American ideal in the 1950s. Media portrays an ideal American home
life as one that involves home ownership in suburbs, which represented social status, guaranteed
family stability and happiness. Therefore, the lives of middle class families in suburbs have been
widely depicted in sitcoms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The correlation between race and suburbs in America has been full of tension and exclusivity. In the
1950s, white flight, the migration of white people from city centres into suburbs, leaving behind the
black population in inner cities was common. This has contributed to a distinct spatial division
between the Anglo Americans and African Americans within the America. Being caused by the
existing income disparity, the minority African Americans, having a lower social economic status in
American, are mostly trapped in poverty cycle and are unable to afford housing ownership in suburbs.
Further aggravated by discriminative government policies towards the minorities, social division
within the country was made even more prominent. According to Haralovich, the FHA implemented
several strategies, in hope of establishing community homogeneity and stability. Protective covenants
were proposed to restrict racial mixing within neighborhoods (Haralovich, 1989). Loan applications,
accepted if submitted by whites, were rejected when filed by black families of similar standing whose
backgrounds were carefully screened to make sure they were in fact members of the middle class
(Maya MontaÒez, 2008). The city split in American was hugely caused by such deliberate racial
separatism. The measures that served to paint homogeneity within suburban neighborhoods

5. Batman An Auteur Analysis
The question at hand states, In evaluating a film, should we interpret and evaluate it by considering
how the film is the creative work of a single author or auteur? (Yenter, Essay Information ).
Understanding my claim requires an understanding of what an auteur is. The original auteur theory is
the idea that the director is the sole author of the film. There are three different strategies that are
typically used to argue for the theory of single authorship. Those strategies are as follows: the
restriction strategy, the sufficient control strategy, and the construction strategy. By assessing these
various strategies attempting to defend single authorship as well as assessing the poststructuralist
theory, I will show how the director alone ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Harry Potter movies have not been evaluated based on the work of the director(s). According to
the auteur theory, each of the movies would need to be evaluated and interpreted based on the creative
work of the director each specific movie. This would be as if we are saying each Harry Potter movie is
separate and distinct from the Harry Potter movies created by a different director. As Harry Potter is
meant to be evaluated and interpreted as a unified series, the auteur theory interpretation would make
utterly no sense. Obviously, by using Harry Potter as an example, many opponents would make that
claim that J.K. Rowling wrote the books. Even if we can compare literature to film and J.K. Rowling
is also said to be the author of the films, she is not the director. But because of her role in creating
these novels, she had a say in how the movies portrayed them, and in some cases, similar to Thor, her
vision overruled the director s vision. As intertextuality makes clear, films are collaborative efforts,
not the sole work of the

an online database with the exclusive aim of reducing recidivism. Initially, it was for law enforcement,
but throughout the years this information became available to the public (McPherson 2016). Before
the early 1990 s, a tracking system was unheard of for keeping tabs on sex offenders. Since then,

Barlow and Møller claim that complaints are not problems to be avoided but gifts to be welcomed.
They also write that complaints are important for several reasons, including:
You don t know how to improve your product or service if you don t know what s wrong.
Customer complaints can give you ideas for new products and services.
Complaints give you valuable information about what s important to people and what they re willing
to spend money on.
Complaints also tell you that the customer still wants to do business with you Most customers don t
complain they just take their business elsewhere, because they ve given up hope of getting what they
need from you.
Complaining as a Process:
Landon (1980) also argues that it is extremely useful to study the complaining process and that
companies can benefit greatly from the process of endeavoring to understand the causes, types,
motives, and style of consumer complaining. The author explains that the complaint process involves
the consumer s evaluation of dissatisfaction and the choice to make the dissatisfaction known. The
interaction between the consumer and the responsible party represents a process of confrontation and
negotiation.
Impact of Customer Complaints:
General knowledge is that customers are more perceptive to losses than gains which means that worse
than expected service is more damaging than better than expected service is beneficial (Rust et al.
1999).

12. How Corporate Scandals Crush the Company, Investors, and...
Tracing back the history of accounting scandals, major corporate scandals not only hurt the economy
but also crush investors confidence on investing in companies. For example, the Enron scandal, the
WorldCom scandal, and so on. The majority of corporate scandals are created by greedy corporate
senior officers. One way to create a scandal is cooking the books . Cooking the book is an accounting
term which means making false financial statements in order to meet the number that investors or
banks expected. In this case, Richard Scrushy is one of the greedy Chief Executive Officers (CEO).
According to Washington Post, Richard Scrushy, was a self made son of the new South, a former
teenage parent who hauled himself up from a menial job to become an emperor of the new economy
(Steve Barnette, Washington Post). Richard Scrushy, the CEO and the founder of HealthSouth
Corporation, was one of the most successful and respected business men in the state of Alabama. This
is a story of a fallen American dream. HealthSouth Corporation is the United States largest inpatient
rehabilitative hospital. HealthSouth provides the services of rehabilitative care to patients recovering
from all kinds of conditions. It started in 1984, the company was originally named Amcare Inc. By the
end of 1990, HealthSouth expanded to 50 facilities all over the United States. HealthSouth reach $400

that they had a completely handover performance as a result of effective inter professional

appropriately in the inter professional communication environment. Although I could possess these

can always be classified as terrorists. The unlawful use of violence against people or property to

Sometimes the government will try every means possible to obtain the release of hostages without
making concessions. It is a widely held belief that making concessions to terrorists that will encourage
more terrorism. Sometimes terrorists will feel that their actions have obtained results. The United

17. The Pros And Cons Of H-1B Visas
H 1B Visas In recent years, much has changed in the science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics (STEM) fields. Three sources entitled, Rising above the Gathering Storm, Innovative
America, and Tapping America s Potential argue that if Americans do not improve in the STEM field
our economy will suffer, so will our exports, and will heavily impact America. If we do not improve
then the standard of living may fall and so will our economy. The three reports talk about using more
innovation and technology, if we do this then our economy will be stable. The proponents argue that
we need to close achievement gaps, improve the quality of teachers, increase labor supply, improve
our international ranking, and issue more H 1B visas. Workers in the STEM field think that their
employers are replacing them because the H 1B foreign workers are cheaper. Although, critics argue
that the STEM movement is sabotaging other countries so, America can be ahead. But, for the US to
be ahead in innovation and STEM education, we need to issue more H 1B visas. The H 1b program is
for guest workers from different countries.
The critics argue that these H 1B visas are popular because companies want to obtain workers at a
lower cost than American workers.. Ron HIra, the writer of The H 1B and L 1 Visa Programs: Out of
Control, writes about how H 1B workers are supposed to be helping, but instead they are making
things worse for American workers. The goals of the H 1B and L1 visa programs

Michelangelo was able to achieve fame and wealth during his lifetime which is a common
characteristic of famous renaissance artists. This is important because it shows how they were able to

accomplishments during their lifetime. This is a sharp contrast to other time periods where art and

her definition is a view of the total process of aging. She does not define aging in a biological,
functional, psychological, sociologic or spiritual domain. #61623; What are you key accomplishments
(e.g., active in specific areas, social contributions, volunteer activities, and unique or adventurous
activities)? Maxine explained that what she considers her key accomplishments are not actions which
society typically views as dramatic. Her most notable accomplishment is living to be seventy two
years old. Once we acknowledged her age, she began to detail her almost life long connection with her
church and subsequent Christian community. She stressed that she has been an active, almost lifelong
member of this Christian community for the last fifty four years. During a humorous moment she

24. Nutlock Research Paper
All around the world people use bicycles for transportation as a necessity as well as for adventure, so,
at no surprise, all around the world bike thieves exist to capitalize on unprotected bicycles. Nutlock is
the latest in the trend of bike wheel theft deterrent devices. No one wants their day to be cut short of
possible adventure by going outside and finding your bike is missing a wheel, or worse, both wheels.
Instead of your day having a lovely bike ride, the adventure has now become to run around in circles
wanting to shake down every John and Jane on the block to try and find your bike. Playing detective is
a fun adventure, but not when your snooping around for your stolen stuff. Nutlock is a convenient
preventative to this ugly circumstance. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nutlock replaces the nut or skewer where your bike wheel attaches to the frame (the hub or center
point that the wheel revolves on). Normally, it is very easy for bike thieves to walk up with a wrench
and remove the nut or skewer, freeing the wheel from the bike frame in seconds. The back wheel is a
little more tricky and time consuming because of the chain and possibly gears, but still manageable for
any experienced bike thief. The nutlock features a conical shape with open ended cutouts (where you
insert your unique key) so that wrenches and other tools used for theft can t find a place to grip,
slipping right off the nutlock before they can get enough torque to begin to unfasten the nutlock by
even a micrometer. To put it in other words, to install the nutlock on your bike is like fastening your
wheel with a special nut and you have a unique wrench that is the only tool that can unfasten it. Of
course, the nutlock is only for your bike wheels; you ll still need a u lock or chain to secure your bike
to a sturdy foundation so nobody goes walking off with

25. How Is Heathcliff A Dynamic Character
One of the strongest yet most broken types of people in this world are orphans, the ones who grew up
without parents to teach the ways of the world to them. Very few are so lucky to find families of their
own, and when they do, they are incredibly improved or perilously worse. In the case of Wuthering
Heights, the unfortunate orphan is the character, Heathcliff. Growing up, he was treated with respect
and care from his father, Mr. Earnshaw, like he was his own son, and later was treated like a close
friend by his adoptive sister and love interest, Catherine. However, his adoptive brother, Hindley, was
nothing but discourteous, derogatory, and ghastly towards him. Upon being bequeathed the mansion
and the treasures from his father, Hindley immediately began to treat Heathcliff as nothing more than
a gypsy and a stable boy; no respect, no care, and no love. Heathcliff s character style is very static.

26. The Four Noble Truths And The Noble Eightfold Path
The core principals of Buddhism can be found in The Four Noble Truths and The Noble Eightfold
Path. The Four Noble Truths are the truths about life. The first one is that in order to live, you re going
to suffer. Mind and body can inevitably become sick and lead to stress in life. Second noble truth is
that suffering stems from a cause; desire. They go hand in hand in an inverse relationship. If someone
desires to be private, they re constantly going to be worried about when they re not alone. This is so
prevalent that the pleasure they get from being alone is not worth the struggle of privacy. The third
noble truth is tied in by saying to end the suffering; a person must end all desires. Lastly, the fourth
noble truth describes the best ways to end suffering is to follow the eightfold path. To find inner peace,
someone must follow the eightfold path. In order to achieve this you must do all of these correctly:

But the more I think about it, the less shocked I am. The monks apart of the violence have motives
that are much more past religious belief. It s most likely a means of corruption to control the area
spiritually, and then in turn, politically. They could also be radical and suppressive because they are
doing whatever they can to prove that Buddhism is the master religion. A similar, but not as radical
example can be seen with senator Ted Cruz and other political figures. While they are very openly
Christian (another religion that is not too keen on the idea of violence) and support religious freedom,
when it comes to religions other than their own, their views change. This can be seen with supporting
armed protests outside mosques, or be open to carpet bombs in Syria. Both of these things are far from
the true religion, but the person is still seen as openly religious. When corruption occurs, people can

I. ABSTRACT
With respect to the fast growing use of technology and communicative devices, electronic commerce
and digital markets has steadily impacted the expansion of information systems, organizations, and

III. LITERATURE REVIEW:
Electronic Commerce
Electronic commerce (or e commerce) consists of the repurchasing of different services and products,
utilized by the internet. This includes business to business (B2B), business to consumer (B2C), and
consumer to consumer(C2C) transactions. These transferable activities include, but are not limited to,
online retail sales, online bill paying, supplier purchases, and Web based auctions. Electronic
commerce implements and utilizes several different types of technologies including transactions of
funds, electronic data interchange, credit cards, and e mail (Reference for Business, Encyclopedia of
Management, 2008). The term e commerce is often used interchangeably with Electronic business (e
business). E business refers to the use of digital technology and the Internet to execute the major
business processes in the enterprise. E business includes activities for the internal management of the
firm and for coordination with suppliers and other business partners (Laudon, K., 12th ed., p. 55). E

In the secondary source, Beezley talks about some of the old Mexican traditions such as burning of
Judas, bullfighting, and cockfighting; in a way, these traditions stood as the metaphor of the political
and social divisions in the Mexican society. The primary source is a compilation of correspondence

The secondary source is about Mexico in the late 1800s and its path to modernization. It states how
president Diaz is an important figure in Mexico s history due to the fact he was able to make Mexico

29. Causes Of The Long Parliament
Long Parliament was called upon by Charles I, but technically Long Parliament created itself by
imposing an act that would only allow parliament to be dissolved by a parliamentary vote. Long
Parliament was being led by John Pym whose primary goal was to correct troubles in the kingdom,
especially acts of treason because of the recent Bishops War. When considering potential acts of
treason, it was speculated that Lord Strafford, who was a member of the King s Privy Council, had
treasonous intentions. After investigating the situation, Pym s accusations fell through, but it did come
to light that the King s Privy Council was encouraging Charles I to act without parliament.
Specifically, Lord Strafford told the king Sir, you have now done your duty, and your subjects have
failed theirs; and therefore, you are absolved from the rules of government... you have an army in
Ireland, with which you may reduce this kingdom. Charles I was being encouraged to use Irish forces
to remove parliament, in order to restore his power. This began the dispute between Long Parliament
and Charles I, over who controlled the military, that began the English Civil war. Long Parliament
implemented the Militia Ordinance, which declared that parliament was responsible for appointing
new officers instead of the king.
By the time Sir William Waller wrote to parliament Charles I and Long Parliament were deeper into
war, and the Parliamentarians were quickly losing because of their militia system. Sir

30. Compare And Contrast My Last Duchess And Porphyria s Lover
Robert Browning (7 May 1812 12 December 1889) was an English poet and scriptwriter whose
mastery of the dramatic monologue made him one of the most prominent Victorian poets. Within his
collection were two of his most renowned works,
My Last Duchess and Porphyria s Lover . In My Last Duchess the speaker is an
Italian Duke who is speaking to the ambassador about his daughter, who he intends to marry. The
Duke then begins to flaunt his gallery of art with the intent to impress. He then comes across the
painting of his last duchess in which openly speaks about having her murdered for lack of respect for
him. Porphyria s Lover is a dramatic monologue that describes the events that eventually lead to the
death of Porphyria. The speaker lives in a cottage in the countryside. His lover, a gorgeous young
woman named Porphyria, comes in out of a storm and attempts to bring cheer to the cottage. She
caresses the speaker, offering him her bare shoulder. Realizing that she will eventually give in to
society s pressures, and wanting to conserve the moment, he wraps her hair around her neck and
strangles her. He then adjusts her corpse, opening the eyes and propping the body up against his side.
He sits with her body this way the entire night, the speaker declaring that God has not yet punished
him. Although these two poems share many similarities, the differences can be discovered through the
analysis of the language, themes, and the feelings the reader experiences while reading these poems.
As a result of these poems being published in a collection, the structure of the two poems shares many
attributes. Although the rhyme scheme is different to add a unique feel to the poem, they both consist
of 1 long stanza. Doing this, Browning added a sense of suspense to each poem by having the reader
continuously read without any real transitions. Rhyming couplets show control and the rhyme scheme
in My Last Duchess, is rhyming couplets the whole way through, which shows that the Duke
evidently had controlled the whole poem. In Porphyria s Lover, there are only rhyming couplets in the
end, as he kills her, this is the only time in the whole poem where he has control. Both poems contain
a multitude of caesuras within

The threat of insider threats within our company is made possible by emerging technologies. It is
important that a security polices and training be required to assist in preventing these threats from
occurring. Insider threats come from people who attempt to gain access to our systems in order to
cause problems to our organization. It has been estimated that insider threats make up to 30% of all
major security breaches. These threats include sabotage, theft, fraud, black mail, and violent actions. It
is important to note people who commit such acts are normally former employees, current employees,
and third party contractors. The following security proposal should be implemented with great hast

The input of the shareholders involved in the decision making process is a key element to the success
of the implementation of our security prevention program. The feedback from employees will assist in
identifying the best recourse in attempting to stave off insider threats to secure our information
networks. For example, stakeholder meetings should include representatives from each section
affected by this potential threat. The governance committee should include the program manager,

33. American Influence On Puritan Society
After the Protestant Reformation, a group practicing Puritanism left Great Britain to the Netherlands
for the ability to practice their religion freely. However, the Puritans did not favor the idea of their
children growing up outside of British influences despite having the privilege of freedom of religion.
In 1620, the first group of Puritan settlers sailed to North America aboard the Mayflower. It wasn t
until 1629 when John Winthrop delivered his city upon a hill sermon that created a new perspective
and goal for the growing Puritan society. Economic, political, and social difficulties were faced, but
religion stayed a constant center for the Puritan settlements. Both failures and successes molded the
Puritan settlement into what it was in the seventeenth century, which leads into the influences left by
the Puritans in today s society. Upon the ship Arabella, one of nine ships that transferred Puritans to
the New World, John Winthrop wrote his sermon titled A Model of Christian Charity . He delivered

34. The Process and Factors of Wound Healing
Introduction
The skin, the biggest organ in the human body, has several vital functions, including sensation,
thermoregulation, protection and synthesis of vitamin D. Nurses would like to be knowledgeable
concerning what is thought of to be healthy skin (Pringle and Penzer2002). This is very important, as
the condition of the skin might typically be a sign of underlying disease (Casey 2002). Changes within
the skin may be one among the first indicators of an underlying health downside. Injury of either the
epidermis or the dermis can cause systemic infection, increased morbidity, increased value of care,
and negative psychosocial consequences (Schindler, Kuhn, Christopher, Conway, Ridling Simpson;
201one).
Wound healing is a dynamic, interactive method involving soluble mediators, blood cells, extracellular
matrix, and parenchymal cells. Wound healing has three phases: the inflammatory section, the
proliferative part, and the maturational or transforming phase. These phases could overlap in time
(Porth, 2011).
Inflammatory Phase
The inflammatory part starts at the time of injury with the formation of a blood clot and therefore the
migration of phagocytic white blood cells into the wound web site. The primary cells to arrive, the
neutrophils, ingest and take away bacteria and cellular debris. When twenty four hours, the neutrophils
are joined by macrophages, that still ingest cellular debris and play a necessary role in the production
of growth factors for the

tossed aside, of little use to the savvy, connected consumer of today. As well, Dunne expresses his
doubts as to whether the old school Yellow Pages persona can be transposed into a viable option as a

that might sail away just as we are stepping aboard; this creates a perception of backing away from the

recognition of what it is and what it can do. The internet by its very existence has created a state of
unpredictability for companies who find themselves in a position where they must quickly adapt to
changes initiated by the world wide web or fall behind. And so it is for Yellow Pages. The company
has recognized that digital business is exploding and has taken steps to re vamp their website as an

37. Analysis Of The Supervisor s Claims About Jeanette Landis
In order to confirm that the supervisor s claims about Jeanette Landis are true, I would need to discuss
her performance, in regards to her sales, with the sales department or the department that is in charge
of this certain information. Even though Mr. White accuses Jeanette of not reaching her sales goals, all
the facts and data need to be reviewed in order to determine if the information provided is accurate in
terms of her performance. The human resource director cannot assume anything, approach all
situations with caution, and be unbiased when determining the best action to take. When firing and

men on various occasions. These two completely different worlds were what drew these two young
girls to each other (Bukisa). They were opposite in more than just their upbringing. Sula was rougher
