EVALUATION 6 : What have you learntabouttechnologiesfromthe processof constructingthis
product?
Photoshop: Photoshop CS6 is advanced image manipulation software which served as the primary
tookin the creationof my magazine.Iusedthis program using the school computers and it allowed
me to. Although at the beginning of the project I had a difficult time getting use to the program, I
very quickly learnt how to use a number of advanced tools that helped me make a professional
looking magazine.
Blogger: Bloggerwas used for me to upload my work online so that both me and my teacher could
gain quick access to it easily. Additionally, I was able to gain feedback from classmates and my
teachers.
Scribd/SlideShare: These were online applications that I used as a way to upload any work online
which I created on Word and PowerPoint. From Scribd/SlideShare I could then embed any of this
work onto my blog easily.
Nikon D3200: The camera that I used for my photography was a
Nikon D3200. This was the camera that I used at the
beginningof myprojectforthe preliminarytask.Ifoundthiscamerato provide good quality images
at a professional standard.IalsoexperimentedwithaSonySLT-A58K,howeverIpreferredthe Nikon
as it provided a look I found more useful to my magazine.
WesternDigital 1TB External Hard-Drive: Iuseda personal hard-drive to back-up and save my work
as well ashelpme to transfermyworkfrom the school computerstomy personal computer, so that
I could continue my work wherever I was – helping me to continue with my work.
Google Chrome: I used Google Chrome as my primary web browser as a way to conduct any
necessary research for my magazine as well as gain access to other sites that I used for my project
(Blogger, SlideShare).
Microsoft Office: I used both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to complete some tasks. These
programs are easy and efficient to use as well as very reliable. For example I created my Mood
board using PowerPoint. Before being put on Photoshop, my Magazine’s article was originally
written on Word.
