3. Nikon Digital Camera/SLR
I used both of these cameras to capture my
main images in front of a white
background. I approve of the SLR more
than the coolpix camera as it has more
megapixels and the image comes out in
better quality. Both of these cameras
allowed me to view the pictures I had just
taken meaning if something was wrong or
something that I didn’t like occurred, I
could improve on it in the next picture. My
knowledge of the SLR restricted me to take
better pictures as I only knew how to use
the zoom and the flash. I used the cameras
to my full ability and the results I got in my
pictures were good, which
4. Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop is a program on my computer that I
used mainly to create the main task pages. I also
used this program to improve my prelimary task. It
allowed me to make adjustments to my original
photographs as the background that my main artist
was on I didn’t like. This programme enabled me to
tailor the pictures to my preferences. It also allowed
me to insert fonts and create different effects to my
pages, which gave my main task a professional look.
I had some difficulties to getting used to the
programme as it is complicated and I was not used
to the names the different tools had and what their
job was.
6. Prezi / Slideshare
These Internet pages have helped me a lot to produce my evaluation pieces on the
main task and Preliminary. I mainly used prezi for presentation purposes as it
looks very professional and is easy to use. Once I have made the prezi, I have to
embed it and then transfer it onto my blog. Slideshare, was a website where a
PowerPoint was embedded into viewable presentation that then can be transferred
onto my blog.
7. Microsoft Word/ PowerPoint
These two programmes were the ones I mainly
used for evaluation question of my magazines as
‘Word’ is a programme to write essays and
PowerPoint is to Present them. They are very
simple to use which made my write ups easier.
8. Scanner
The scanner helped me to transfer a draft of my
magazines that were on paper, onto the
computer which then I uploaded onto my blog.
