Course Lab is a free, easy-to-use e-learning authoring tool that allows users to create interactive e-learning content without programming. A survey was conducted of IT students familiar with Course Lab to evaluate its usability, effectiveness, and satisfaction. 42.9% found it a useful tool for developing e-learning courses while 7.1% felt it lacked good testing facilities and scoring systems. 50% found the user interface easy to understand while 7.1% felt it was poor for assessments, animations, and scoring systems. 14.3% preferred it over other tools and found it pleasant to use.

5. The purpose of this evaluation is to investigate the course lab usability; efficiency, effectiveness and relevance and satisfaction.

7. Audience The audience are the students from IT department who are familiars with course lab software.

9. 42.9% says that course-lab software is a useful tool for developing e-learning courses, on the other hand there are about 7.1% of responses says that the software is poor in providing tests facilities, 14.3% see that the scoring system is not useful to encourage students.

11. 50% of responses says that The user interface is easy to understand. (For example, is the screen layout clear and easy to interpret ) and The platform tools are easy to use. 7.1% of responses says that it is poor in terms of insert assessment tests in various forms , insert and design animations on this software, develop scoring system easily.

13. 14.3% of responses says that students would like to use this software more than any other authoring tools , The interface is pleasant and appealing and they are very comfortable while using this software . 7.1% of responses says that they poorly would like to use this software on the future, software helps them poorly in designing effective e-learning courses.
