1. How did you use new media
technologies in the construction,
research and planning stages?
2. In the initial stages of our research, we
looked at current and popular music
video’s that had been recently released
on youtube. It proved to be a great
resource as it gave us an instant access
to newly released music as well as some
older tracks.
Google became useful when
researching existing digipaks/album
artwork/promotional posters.
As Google Images can find relevant
information from a variety of sources
at the click of a button! Also, it is a
lot quicker than searching for things
one-by-one as you are presented with
a selection.
3. When choosing our song, Ryan and I searched through our ITunes
libraries to try and find a song that we both liked. This was handy as
Itunes holds thousands of songs, giving us a vast choice.
4. After deciding on our song, and artist we
needed a way of getting hold of her when we
needed her. As she is an avid tweeter we
decided that Twitter would be the best method
of contacting her!
5. To make our products appear sleek and
professional, it makes sense that we would
have to use professional equipment!
For our video we used HD widescreen
camera’s that were new in last year.......
...and for our print, a digital SLR
Nikon!
By using high quality, expensive
equipment, we knew that out pictures
and video would have the highest
resolution and quality!
6. As well as using top notch recording equipment, we also had other
professional pieces of equipment such as coloured lighting that moved
to the music we played through the sound-system and photography
lamps!
7. For our editing stage we used both Adobe
Premier Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
Premier Pro is an amazing standard of video
editing, and any effect is possible! A few of
the many tweaks we placed on our video
are; Brightness, Roll, Black and White,
Colour burn and contrast.
Photoshop is the same!
For our digipack and
promotional poster we
played with Fresco,
Posterise and Stroke
among others to create
a fresh, clean, modern
looking product.
8. •During our evaluation stage Blogger was down a lot.
This resulted in us having to do a lot of our typing up in
Microsoft word to transfer to the blog later.
•For one of our evaluation posts, we decided to make a
vlog (video blog) so that we had a multimedia
evaluation.
•And of course, as you can see, we also used
Slideshare. To make our evaluation a little more
aesthetically pleasing!
