2. Construction
As part of the pre, post and production we used
the new state of the art video cameras which
helped in film not only the media product itself but
the process, flip cam to keep track of our
progress, memory cards and video drives to store
our things, I also used my Canon camera for
taking pictures whilst filming. We had lights from
college. Whilst planning I had the idea of using
projection on top of Athena I got this idea from a
Rihanna video using green screen. But in the end
we decided it was not going to work.
3. Research and Planning the
For research the media technologies I used was
internet; YouTube, Wikipedia, slide share and other
bloggers. All of these elements helped me
understand what a music video is, what it is about
and how it works. YouTube was used for influence of
current music videos. Wikipedia gave me a wider
understanding of the music industry and blogger
was used to try and understand from other peoples
experience in learning about media products such
as what the conventions are? How you then use the
music video to relate to the ancillary work. Using this
research I then found it useful to plan the production
of the video. This is because I had a foundation of
rules and other videos I could relate to.
4. Planning of music video
The most important preparation for
making an music video was our digital
storyboard. This gave group 22 a format in
what to follow. And it was useful in helping
us see what it would look like. It also
allowed us to experiment with various
shots and get us to thinking of special
effects. So when we are filming we have
a schedule to follow.
5. Whilst filming on one of our location the
pub, had its own sound and lights system
which helped in making our video visually
spectacular. In putting the background

6. Evaluation
Formy evaluation I have tried to show my
understanding of music videos and the
making through varied programs such as
powerpoint, prezi and video clips,clip
grab. This is to show my knowledge in new
ways but also showing how I use them.
Blogger was also used to put the products
in answering the evaluation question
