2. • Media technologies are techniques and Softwares which are used in order to create a
media product. Examples of these are:
• Presentations- these were used in the evaluation stages of our production as it is simple
to put our ideas and explain what we had tried to achieve and why we did this.
• Blogging- we used blogger in order to blog our progress and work that we had
completed so that we could understand what we had done and what needed to be done.
We also used blogger to talk about our ideas for our final product.
• Gif
• Videos on websites such as YouTube.
• Green screen- using a green screen to put videos of our audience feedback onto our
music video. This is so that we appear In the foreground and the video appears in the
background.
• Word cloud
• Voice over - recording audience feedback.

3. • The ways that we have presented our research and planning
on blogger:
• We presented our research and planning on blogger in a
variety of ways which was very effective as it developed our
understanding of different technologies and how to use them.
Some of the ways that we did this we're using videos which
we uploaded onto YouTube then linked onto our blog, we
also used various images on blogger which we had uploaded
in order to help explain our ideas. This is also a good use of
showing evidence as we can use screen grabs and photos we
took on the camera and on our phones of thing such as the
website ancillary piece and images of us filming. This shows
that we filmed in various areas and on various days which is
a good use of evidence.

4. • We have gone from having little knowledge of many
different media technologies to using them in most pieces
of work that we had to produce such as using blogger,
green screens and voice overs. Using these different
varieties of media technologies meant that we could
develop our understanding of media to a greater level and
learn to to use different technologies to the best of our
abilities in order to produce a final product that could
incorporate a lot of different techniques and technologies.
This would boost our understanding of the subject of media
and mean that we could keep on using a variety of
technologies to incorporate into other pieces of work that
we have to do.

5. We used YouTube to get knowledge of music
videos from the 1960’s. for example, we looked
at The Beatles and The Monkeys as these
bands are a similar genre to The Kinks and we
were aiming to use the same sorts of
conventions in our video. We then got ideas of
location, types of camera shots, editing and
things to include in mise-en-scene.
We used internet explorer for all the
research into the band. We found out links to
websites with information related to The
Kinks. We used websites such as
Wikipedia, The Kinks official
website, Pinterest for storyboards, Blogger
and many more. Using this modern
technology allowed us to add the modern
twist onto the 60s theme music.

6. Another modern technology we used for
presenting our product, was a digital camera.
This was used for taking photos whilst we
were out filming that we could add to our
band website. Below are a couple of photos
that we have actually used in the ancillary
task.
