technologies in the
construction and research,
planning and evaluation
stages?

2. Research
To research music videos in my genre, the internet was very useful for my
planning and development of my music video using websites like especially
YouTube to capture other music videos within the indie rock genre to inspire me
to put in my music video.This is used using the Apple IMac -2GHz dual core inter
processor. As through this, Google was very useful as a search engine to fuel my
research and planning using examples from across the web. I used google to
research the lyrics of the 1975 song ‘robbers’ how to incorporate the relationship
between the lyrics and visuals in my music video.As this is similar for the
research for my digipak evaluation.
Furthermore, my phone (iphone 4s) was extremely helpful for further research
outside of school or whenYouTube wasn’t available at school.

3. Blogging
• We usedWordPress to update our research and work as we went
along.This was very useful to keep track of our progress while
working on this project as we kept up to date with every step that
we went along from the introduction to the evaluation of this
project.
• This was useful to imbed pictures and videos of what have inspired
us for our own music video as I usedWordPress like a diary showing
my ideas and inspirations for my own music video.

4. Construction of my music video
• While filming my music video, my phone was very useful for the process of
playing the music back to my performer in order to learn the words and keep in
time so I could construct and produce the music video.
• To construct my music video, we used final cut pro X to edit our music video and
construct the timeline (piecing together) the video in order to the song.To film
my music video, the camera I used was the canon ligeria HFR506 (high definition).
This was used to film my music video in high definition, along with the camera, I
used a tripod to hold the camera and get the perfect image to keep the camera
still even while moving.
• Photoshop CSSV22.0 (digital imaging) was also used for our digipak research to
construct the cd cover, back, middle and advert to promote this.

5. Evaluation
• For my evaluation I have used Prezi first of all as a unique way to
present how I used, developed and challenged other media
products to construct my own media product.The research from
this is from google andYouTube again to show my inspirations for
my own music video and digipak.
• Furthermore, I have also used Microsoft PowerPoint to put
together the technologies I have used in the planning, research
and the construction of my own media product and step by step
usedWordPress to show my planning within my evaluation.
