This document discusses open badges and virtual mobility skills in higher education. It describes the Open Badge Network project which aims to develop, assess, and recognize virtual mobility skills using open badges. The Open Virtual Mobility project and Learning Hub are introduced as ways to provide mini-MOOCs on virtual mobility competencies such as digital literacy, self-regulated learning, and intercultural skills. Open badges can be earned through Open Virtual Mobility MOOCs and displayed on platforms like Bestr.

"Cultural localisation of open badges - insights from the German community”
Cultural localisation is the process of adapting the linguistic and cultural content of a design for a specific local culture. The aim of this talk is to explore cultural localisation of open badges from two perspectives. The first perspective is the cultural localisation of skills with the help of open badges. The second perspective is the cultural localisation of open badges as a system itself. My talk will include insights from a German qualification project for migrant academics, in which badges have been applied to enhance employability, as well as insights from the process of building an open badges community in German-speaking countries. My intention is to develop a framework for cultural localisation of open badges and I would like to discuss some considerations for such a framework.
The story of how Digital Cultures helped introduce Moodle within a WebCT shop at the University of Sydney.

Noone can deny the importance of continuing professional development for ELT instructors. It helps teachers to stay up to date with the new methods and procedures of teaching and learning which leads to the improvement of their classes output.Learning was and is still always linked to travel but the only difference between past teachers and actual ones, seeking professional development, is that in the past educators take long real journeys .However , traveling for knowledge in the modern era can also be virtual with same or better results in various aspects.

Some thoughts on the way the term 'open' has changed in meaning for education over the years. It explores the concept of the open scholar and the benefits of making sharing the default action for an academic.
This presentation was for the Emerging Technologies class at Southeastern Community College- West Burlington, Iowa, instructor- Cozelle Wagner.
Presented by Chuck Chrisman and Bruce Huddleson
No Rough Waters provides rationale for using online e-Portfolios for reaching out to students who are in an alternative setting - such as alternative centers, "boot camps" or out of school suspension. Using PBworks has been effective for maintaining connections and providing support to students who are not currently in your classroom.
I did this presentation for faculties of Teaching and Learning Resource Center at Feng Chia University. All participants have basic understanding about open course.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

This guide will provide detailed notes on the Sectors of the Indian Economy Class 10, using specific long-tail keywords to enhance comprehension.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
