This document discusses open badges and open virtual mobility. It provides an overview of open badges, including their history since 2012, how they form an open standard to document skills and achievements, and the updated 2.0 metadata standard. Open badges can be earned from a variety of sources, including online courses and programs. They can then be shared on social media, CVs, blogs, and other sites. The document also discusses how open badges are being used for skills recognition of migrant academics and to promote student engagement. Open badges are aligned with competency frameworks and can be used to document virtual mobility skills gained through virtual courses, internships, and other experiences.
