be an inescapable imperative. However, these shifts are uneven, both with respect to
field and with respect to the form of communication. Different scientific fields have

government agencies, by academic departments, by publishers, by professional
societies, and by individual researchers) to the development, maintenance, and
promotion of various forms of communications technologies for use in global

shape technology, scientists and policy makers are left only with context free models,
and hence resources may be committed to projects that are not self sustainable, that
wither, and that do not effectively improve the scientific communications system of
the field. The consequences may not only be sub optimal use of financial resources,
but also wasted effort on the part of individual researchers, and even data languishing
in marginal, decaying, and dead systems and formats. The purpose of this JASIS

unique features of the approach of the Business Model Canvas is that this tool allows

direction the organization is taking through its business model. As author Dan Roam
states, visual thinking to solve complex problems is what the BMC is all about. The
Business Model Generation does have it strengths and weaknesses. Perhaps the main
asset of the BMC is the visual illustration. One main drawback is the limited aim of
an organization; that is, it targets profit generation and for non profit purposes of an
organization. The benefits will be touched on below, but the Osterwalder/Pigneu
business model leaves out one key ingredient. Omitting the basic fact that competition

Deadlines are missed, standards and quality of work drop and a vicious cycle
emerges and feeds on itself. This is a very common phenomenon with small and
medium sized professional firms. They do not have the capacity to manage their
growth or the peaks and valleys associated with the modern business world.
Secondly, the firm is so consumed with meeting operational deadlines that it loses
it s ability to keep up to date with latest best practice, legislation or other issues
demanding new skills. In this case clients will soon recognise that mistakes are
made due to lack of currency of skills. These are some of the more visible risks to
firms who do not pay attention to the attraction, growth and retention of key talent.

The two plays Everyman by an Anonymous play write and The Bacchae by
Euripides both have main characters that have selfish desires that involve the
public joining them in their own journey to fulfill their own greed. In The Bacchae
Dionysus is the protagonist, a selfish demigod who wishes to enact his revenge for
the slandering of his and his Mother s name. In Everyman the play revolves around
a character named Everyman, who represents the everyday men and women, and
his or her selfish wish for someone to follow him or her to speak in front of God.

perspectives. The moral is not to judge someone based off appearances or on the
basis that they are different from you. This was all achieved by using cinematic

really made the audience think and feel as if they were playing a role in the movie
