An Essay About Yourself
Crafting an essay about yourself can be a daunting task, as it requires a delicate balance between
self-expression and humility. The challenge lies in presenting a comprehensive yet concise
overview of your life, experiences, and aspirations without sounding boastful or self-indulgent.
It's akin to walking a tightrope, where one misstep could lead to either underselling or
overselling oneself.
The difficulty intensifies when you consider the introspective nature of the task. Reflecting on
personal strengths and weaknesses, achievements, and defining moments can be emotionally
taxing. Striking the right tone becomes a delicate dance between confidence and modesty.
Moreover, the pressure to make your story engaging and memorable adds another layer of
complexity. After all, a bland and unremarkable self-portrait is unlikely to leave a lasting
impression.
Then there's the challenge of maintaining authenticity. It's tempting to embellish achievements or
present a curated version of oneself to create a more impressive narrative. However, the risk of
being perceived as disingenuous looms large. Navigating the fine line between authenticity and
the desire to make a strong impression requires careful consideration and self-awareness.
The struggle with the essay about yourself is not just limited to content but extends to the
structural and stylistic aspects. Finding the right balance between formality and personal
expression, ensuring coherence in the narrative, and avoiding clichГ©s are all part of the writer's
uphill journey. It's like assembling a puzzle with pieces that constantly shift in shape and size.
In the end, writing an essay about yourself demands a high level of introspection, writing skill,
and a keen understanding of the audience's expectations. It's a test of both content and
presentation, where success hinges on the writer's ability to reveal their true self while
captivating the reader's attention.
As you navigate the complexities of self-expression in written form, it's worth noting that
support is available. If the challenges seem insurmountable, there are resources like

skilled in the art of personal expression stand ready to guide you through the process, ensuring
that your unique story is told with clarity and impact.

Exploring The Potential For Addiction
On line gaming has grown a great deal in the last decade, connecting players in
countries around the world. World of Warcraft is perhaps the best known massively
multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG). These games are incredibly
immersive and generally have no real ending, with players able to continue the game
indefinitely via expansions and new content being added. A pilot study by Hussain
and Griffiths (2009) set out to explore the potential for addictionto an MMORPG,
within its psychological and psychosocial effects on players. Generally, studies of
MMORPGs have not had a specific focus on addiction or the psychology of on line
gaming (as cited in Hussain Griffiths, 2009).
At the time of their study, it was estimated that there were five million online
gamers worldwide (as cited in Hussain Griffiths, 2009). According to the statistical
analysis site Statista, as of 2013 approximately 144.9 million people worldwide are
active daily players of online games, an increase of almost 3000 percent. Hussain and
Griffiths note that playing an MMORPG can become an escape from a player s real
life, and a substitute for the social interactions involved in reality. Therefore, the
importance of studying MMORPG s potential for addiction, and research regarding
possible pathology, is even more relevant.
Hussain and Griffiths explored two hypotheses: (1) assess the impact of online
gaming on the lives of gamers, the independent variable being online gaming, the
dependent,
Animal Rights Periods
Animal Rights concept on different Historical periods There were no any laws
made to protect animal rights before 1977. Society s attitudes about animals have
varied over different historical periods. Some group of people thought animals do
not feel pain because they don t have self awareness and capacity to exercise. While
some thought they have mental ability and feel pain and pleasure, but couldn t
express it. From the article we know that different people had different opinion on
animal rights, and the contradiction last for a long period of time. But over time, the
issue of animal rights has gradually come to occupy more space, and there was some
historical evidence of legal proceedings and sentences imposed on wild and
Women Veterans Case Study
Texas has one of the largest populations of women veterans, according to the
Department of Veterans Affairs: Fact Sheet, there are currently over 180,000
women veterans that live in the state of Texas (1). However, until recently, Texas
was the only state with a woman veteran population over 50,000 that did not have a
long range plan to address and examine the specific needs of women veterans. In
January 2015, State Representative Ana Hernandez (D) from District 143, filed
House Bill 867 (HB 867) in an effort to change that. HB 867 would permanently
establish the Texas Women Veterans Program. As recorded by the 84th Legislature
Regular Session, HB 867 won an unanimous vote from the House Committee on
Defense and Veterans Affairs and the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs and
Military Installations, with a vote of 7 Ayes and 0 Nays in both houses. HB 867
was passed by the Senate on May 24, 2015 and signed by Governor Greg Abbott on
June 4, 2015. This bill went into effect immediately. (Texas Legislature Online/Bill

began and served as a temporary solution to this long range problem facing women
veterans. HB 867 established a permanent answer to the... Show more content on

Health Services that could provide much needed mental health care to the women
who return from combat suffering from not only Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Homeless Veterans reports that women veterans who have experienced MST along
with PTSD are at greater risk of facing homelessness (Tsai, Rosenheck, and Kasprow

Being An American Essay
Being an American cannot simply be defined by skin color, culture, or religion. This
nation cannot be defined in a simplistic manner like many other nations. For instance,
other countries define themselves by their accent or by the types of food they
consume. According to Sarah Song, To be or to become an American, a person did
not have to be any particular national, linguistic, religious, or ethnic background. All
he had to do was to commit himself to the political ideology centered on the abstract
ideals of liberty, equality, and republicanism (31). Therefore, being American simply
means having the same views about equality, liberty and republicanism as our
American ancestors.
Being an American is clearly stated in the Declaration of ... Show more content on

The idea of equality is usually defined by everyone as the state or quality of being
equal. However, according to Thomas Jefferson, in The Declaration of Independence,
all men are created equal (n.p). The thought of all men being created as equal is a
simple ideology of the past. Now, in America, equality consists of having equal
rights and opportunities whether the individual is a male or female. However, today
in America, equality has not fully been fully achieved. For instance, we are still
experiencing income inequality. According to Peter Finocchiaro, Income inequality
has grown dramatically since the mid 70s far more in the US than in most advanced
countries (n.p). Furthermore, The top 10 percent of Americans earn nearly three
quarters of all income in the country, leaving the poor with whatever is left
(Finocchiaro n.p). Another inequality in America is racial inequality. For instance,
Arizona passed the SB 1020 bill. Nicholas Riccardi stated, The bill directs police to
determine the immigration status of non criminals if there is a reasonable suspicion
they are undocumented. Immigrant rights groups say it amounts to a police state
(n.p). Therefore, the abstract idea of equality in America is not one that is truly
fulfilled. Equality for me is more accurately defined as a fairytale, were we as
Americans only dream about it, yet never fully turn it into a realization. The last thing

Essay On Raiders Night
Long nights playing football
The book, Raiders Night by Robert Lipsyte was a very different book compared to
other 9th grade books. While you guys might feel that your gonna read how a guy
gets a scholarship and wins a championship but this book proves that not every
sports book is the same. If you go to the library, and pick any book off the shelf. I
doubt you ll find one involving drugs and steroids. At the same time it was a great
book, I loved the intensity on how Matt has everything he needs but now needs to
learn how to put away his distractions and stay focused. For me it was very easy to
relate in life, I was never the big guy that everyone knew. I was just there for
football nothing else. I liked the book a lot because of its intensity, its interesting
organization of the book, and it s way how the formed the characters.
The raiders night was taken place in a town called Nearmont takes us through the
eyes of a football team and how flaws can make a team better than it already was.
Matt an 18 year old is starting his senior year of high school. He is the captain of the
Raiders it seems as though he has everything in the world, good grades, girls,
football, but when an event happens that could change his whole life. What is the
captain suppose to do about it? Should we have stopped it, he thought? Could we

Fantastic descriptions of the characters made it easy to follow the intense book.
The book problems dealt with and problems people deal with everyday. How there
are pros and cons to every decision made. These details were such a big impact to the

How Did Classical Republicans And The Natural Rights...
1.) How did both Classical Republicans and the natural rights philosophers influence
the Founders views about government?
In the beginning stages of what we know today as our system of government, the
Founders were combing through numerous sources in order to inquire about past
entities and were in constant debate over how the United States was to be set up and
how it was to run more smoothly than previous examples. The Founders were
profoundly interested in the works of two different ideologies: Classical
Republicanism, which was inspired by the political writings of Greek philosophers,
Aristotle and Polybius, and Roman philosopher Cicero; and Natural Rights
Philosophy, which came to the forefront by many political philosophers including ...

Classical Republicans saw moral education as a necessity in order for the citizens,
of usually smaller and less diverse republics, to engage in civil discourse with their
fellow citizens and above all else to obtain proper habits that would encourage the
common good of the republic. The Natural Rights philosophers, in correspondence
with their treatises that stress the importance of the individual, their inalienable
rights, and equality amongst humans, saw education as a necessity in order for the
populace of any given government to be equally equipped for participation in the
societal welfare of the people in case of a tyrannical government. This stress on
education in the Natural Rights philosophy would also lower the chance of an
abusive and tyrannical government from arising due to Locke stating the right to
revolution if and only if the needs of the populace are not being fulfilled by the
existing political system. The founders were inspired by both groups to put an
importance on education and a greater importance on preparation for citizenship as
they saw it a necessity for the populace to be informed so a decision over legal
matters could be agreed upon however, despite the inequality in our
A Comparison Between Computer Programming And Java
A Comparison Between Computer Programming: Java and C++ in games industry
1.Introduction I chose this topic because these languages are a relationship
between programmers and computer without those languages can t use the
computer. Moreover, considered one of the models that I will study in September
at Swansea University. This is why I find this topic so interesting as it given a lot
of detailed information about two programming c++ and java in uses and its
founders to explain how they became so successful and why their programs are so
brilliant. I admire the genius of these successful two programs. Also, as a
Mathematics and Computing for Finance student I feel that I could learn so much
from them. So, I shall keep a very close eye on their research and their result. The
purpose of the programming languages as Coded language to write information by
programmers that a computer could understand to do what the programmer wants.
A computer language is used binary ( 1 and 0 ) code as call the machine language
that a computer can execute instructions quickly without any translator or
interpreter program, but is complicated. The high level languages such as C++ and
java are very simpler for use, but it need to another program to transfer a high level
code into a computer language, for this are slower. There are many of programming

The Tragedy Of Clytemnestra And Cassandra s Agamemnon
Jordan Arnold Professor Wilder
Blue Humanities
9/19/17
Prompt 3 In the tragedy of Agamemnon, both Clytemnestra and Cassandra have their
opinions of Agamemnon. He has shown the type of King he truly is. Clytemnestra,
his wife, has took action in her own hands when it came to dealing with Agamemnon.
This resulted in his brutal death where he least expected it. Cassandra, priestess of
Apollo, was cursed with gift of prophecy but no one will believe her. With that being
said she knew things were going to end bad with Agamemnon before everyone else.
This is why Cassandra remains a noble prophet when Agamemnon tries to lead her
into temptation. With them being the voice of the play they commonly explain their
emotions towards Agamemnon out of anger. They both know that the things that he
is doing is morally wrong and not the work of a honest king.
Clytemnestra had to deal with things that a wife should not have to deal with. Was
it him sacrificing his own daughter for the gods, or even him having a mistress
while he was gone at war.Agamemnon s main goal was to show that he had
dominance over her along with his kingdom. She envied the fact that he was able
to make these decisions without any sense of sympathy for anyone. The death of
Agamemnon was revenge for the death of her daughter. Agamemnon killed a deer
in a grove sacred to Artemis so the gods did not provide wind for the sail boats once
they tried to set sail to Troy to go to war. Then it is revealed
The Medical Experiments By The Ss ( Nazi )
The Medical Experiments By The SS (Nazi) Have you ever heard of the Nazi Party
led by Adolf Hitler, the Holocaust, or even the medical experiments of the SS?
Well, get ready to learn about it. Adolf Hitler was an anticommunist that fought for
Germany in WWI. He was the leader of the Nazi s. The Holocaust was a genocide in
which Adolf Hitlers Nazi Germanyand its collaborators killed about six million Jews.
The medical experiments of the SS were experiments performed by doctors on
prisoners. During World War II, a number of German physicians conducted painful
and often deadly experiments on thousands of concentration camp prisoners without
their consent. Unethical medical experimentation carried out during the Third Reich
may be divided into three categories. The three categories consisted of experiments
aimed at facilitating the survival of Axis military personnel. The second category of
experimentation aimed at developing and testing pharmaceuticals and treatment
methods for injuries and illnesses which German military and occupation personnel
encountered in the field. While the third category of medical experimentation sought
to advance the racial and ideological tenets of the Nazi worldview (https:/
/www.ushmm.org). Doctors have always been thought of as the saviors of mankind,
the healers, and caretakers of our utter existence. Even ancient civilizations revered
the medicine men as having special power to protect life. The trust of a physician is
sacred. This is why
Essay Ernest Hemingway
Ernest Hemingway s tough, terse prose and short, declarative sentences did more to
change the style of written English that any other writing in the twentieth century.
Ernest Hemingway had many great accomplishments in his historical life but one
event sticks out from the rest. The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingway s
most enduring works. Told in Language of great simplicity and power, it is the story
of an old Cuban fisherman, agonizing battle with a giant marlin far out in the Gulf
Stream. Here Hemingway recasts, in strikingly contemporary style, the classic theme
of courage in the face of defeat, of personal triumph won from loss. Written in 1952,
this hugely successful novel confirmed his power and presence in the literacy... Show

He would later adapt this style to his fiction. In May of 1918, Hemingway became
an honorary second lieutenant in the Red Cross. He could not join the army due to
a defective left eye (resentfully inherited from his mother). On his first day of
service across seas, he and other ambulance drivers were assigned the horrific duty
of picking up body parts from an exploded munitions factory. Death, mostly of
women, on such a scale was most definitely another very shocking moment in
Hemingway s young life. But he soon recovered from this experience and became
known as the man who was always where the action is. He would often sneak
cigarettes and chocolate to soldiers on the Italian front. It was on one of these
occasions that he was severely wounded by an Austrian trench mortar. Even with
over a hundred pieces of shrapnel and an Austrian machine gun bullet logged in his
leg he managed to carry a wounded soldier a hundred yards to safety. He got the
Italian Medal of Valor for his courageous action. He spent his recovery time at the
Ospedale Croce Rossa Americana, in Milan. It is there that he met and fell for a
thirty year old nurse called Agnes Hannah. To Ernest s disappointment, Agnes was
not willing to embark in a relationship. Ernest, who had not yet turned twenty, who
was a war hero, a journalist and a wounded soldier, was too

Trauma In The Novel The Suspect By L. R.
How Trauma Can Affect Lives
Many individuals have flashbacks after experiencing trauma. Survivors of such
horrible traumas sometimes can act out in violence, after something triggers them to
remember the ordeal. The novel The Suspect by L.R. Wright, offers a realistic
account of what goes on in the mind of an individual who has committed murder.
Throughout the novel, I made connections to many real life examples of how
trauma has affected the lives of criminals and their victims, through either alcohol or
mental illness. Individuals affected by this sort of trauma can seek medical or social
help in order to be able to learn how to cope with daily living.
L.R. Wright starts the novel The Suspect, by talking about how the main character
George Wilcox killed his ex brother in law Carlyle Burke in the isolated little
community of Sechelt, British Columbia. Wright described the scene of how
George killed Carlyle. As George was trying to leave, Carlyle did not like the idea
that George was leaving, and was telling him he needed to respect him. When

Mr Bleaney
Mr Bleaney Mr Bleaney by Philip Larkin is a poem which describes a person in an
interesting way. The poem is about a man who rents a very small, basic bed sit.
While living in this room, the persona learns about the previous tenant s, Mr
Bleaney, life, and how the basic and empty room reflects his personality. The
persona s unspoken thoughts gives the reader a clear insight to Mr Bleaney s
monotonous life and the sort of man he was. By the end of the poem, the persona
realises that by accepting these terrible living conditions, he is in fact becoming Mr
Bleaney. Larkin uses many poetic techniques in a way that makes Mr Bleaney seem
interesting. From the beginning of the poem, the reader is intrigued by the character
of Mr Bleaney... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The last line of the stanza hints to the reader that Bleaney s sister is obliged to take
him in over Christmas because she is family. Mr Bleaney s yearly frame mentions
nothing about him going out or doing anything with friends, conveying the idea
that Bleaney has isolated himself from other people. The reader finds this
interesting as he did nothing to prevent himself being isolated and lonely, but
instead accepted that this was his fate. The persona s tone changes from
contemptuous to reflective in the last two stanzas, showing that it is not only the
reader that is intrigued by the character of Mr Bleaney. He wonders if: how we live
measures our own nature, Here, the reader sees that the persona has realised that
by renting this bed sit, he is stepping into Mr Bleaney s shoes. The persona fears
that this has become his fate, and that he will accept this standard of living just
like Mr Bleaney did. The tone in this stanza differs from that of the first five as the
persona s first thoughts was that Mr Bleaney was pathetic for living like this and
not striving for more, but here the persona has come to a self realisation that
Bleaney and himself are fellow sufferers. This interests the reader as we wonder why
anybody, in knowing about Mr Bleaney, would allow themselves to do the same
thing as Bleaney did
Why Are College Majors Are Created Equal
One thing that varies faster than the gasoline price may be the debate around the
value of a right path for a young adult which major guarantees a smooth access to a
decent job offer. According to the article, Not All College Majors Are Created Equal ,
the author, Michelle Singletary, indicates that collegedegrees are not the same based
on the different majors. She starts her article with a question that she asked her
college students, What s your major? Singletary immediately determines her student
s future by the major that the student is choosing. Later in the article, she states her
opinions on how majors have played a great important role in one s career life by
using different examples and statistics. Indeed, college majors are not... Show more

Too many students aren t sure what job they could get after four, five, or even six
years of studying a certain major and racking up education loans (255). Singletary is
given the fact that numerous students are confused on their own majors even though
they have studied for years. And parts of the students even start realizing their majors
might be in a hopeless employment situation after they graduate from that particular
field. Therefore, before choosing a field of study, it is necessarily worthwhile for
students and parents to check out the majors whether in the highest or the lowest
unemployment. According to new statistics on unemployment for recent college
graduates by The Huffington Post this June, majoring in social science and creative
fields, such as anthropology, film, fine art, etc. have earned the top three of the
unemployment rate. In contrast, engineering technologies, math, and computer
science remain at the top of the employment chart. Alex Tabarrok mentions the harsh
unemployment rate in his article, ...More than half of all humanities graduates end up
in jobs that don t require college degrees... (250). The society has never shown mercy
to students who are unlikely to be employed with the majors they have. Graduating
without employment must be one of the biggest nightmares for most students;
however, selecting an in demand major can surely decrease the chances of being
To Smoke or Not to Smoke in Public Essay
To Smoke or Not To Smoke in Public People have strong feelings concerning
smoking in public places. Whether you are in favor of or in opposition to it,
smoking in public places is a serious concern that need be addressed. I agree that it
is unjust for smokers not to be allowed to smoke where they choose, but it is even
more unreasonable for non smokers to be subjected to breathing in the exhaled smoke
form someone else(passive smoking). Not to mention second hand smoke is actually
worse for someone than smoking itself. Along with the dangers second hand smoke
presents to the adults, think about what it does not only to your children but other
children around you. Smokers may argue that non smokers can just as easily walk
away as a smoker... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Second hand smoke increases a person s chances of getting coronary disease by up
to thirty percent. Second hand smoke also raises the chances of lung and other types
of cancer. Each year there are approximately 53,000 deaths from lung cancer and
respiratory problems and 25,000 of them are from non smokers. Although that is a
long term issue, there are more issues that present themselves instantly. Itchy eyes,
runny nose, coughing, hives, and excessive phlegm are just a few.
As parents, it is our job to protect our children and that includes the unseen dangers of
second hand smoke. Some of the dangers to children include asthma, lower
respiratory illness, middle ear infections, reduced lung growth or sudden infant death
syndrome. When children are developing, and are subjected to passive smoking
(second hand smoke), their lung and brain function can be stunted. Middle ear
infections can be painful to children and if left untreated can cause permanent
damage to their hearing. Even just short exposure of second hand smoke to children
can cause lifelong illnesses for them.
Those earlier mentioned things are just the medical reasons for not allowing
smoking in public. Children should not be penalized for the bad decisions of adults.
For instance children may not be able to play sports or outdoor activities if smoking
in public is not completely banned. A lot of baseball fields, play grounds,

The M M Campaign Essay
Brand campaigns is generally regarded as application of specific activities created
to promote a product. Companies typically employ it when they want to increase
their sales. Use of one or an integrated media techniques may come into effects, for
instance, use of television, print and social media. The point is to capture the target
audience s attention as well as generate response from them. This is exactly what M
M managed to do with its Better with M campaign where they used unique
advertising and marketingapproaches that had emotional and psychological effect on
the target market. The M M campaign use of personification and personalization was
a brilliant move that cemented the company as leaders in candy and chocolate
manufacturing. Several slogans and ads run through people s TV screen during the
whole campaign period, and the fascinating aspect is that the were really engaging
and funny. The campaign featured super bowl commercial, digital ads, in store
displays, and perhaps the most critical cause related marketing.
This is analysis of the Better with M campaign. This paper explores how M M
devised and implemented successful advertising campaign through message strategy,
persuasive focus, persuasive appeal and correct execution. This will be done by

Development Of Infants
According to Psychologist Erik Erikson, the social and personality development of
the infant includes trust versus distrust. Throughout the first two years of life, an
infant goes through the first stage: If an infant stands well nurtured and loved, trust
will develop as well as a feeling of security plus a positive outlook upon their lives. If
they stand not well nurtured and loved, they convert towards self doubting and
acquires toward mistrust others (Personality Development, n.d.). Infants develop
attachments toward their caregivers whether being parents, other relatives or nannies.
If the caregiver responds positively towards the child, they sense a conscious of
security that the parentwill provide encouragement when required. Insecure
What Is Humor In Humor
We often laugh when we see something funny or amusing. In context of informal
situation with my friends I often say funny but in formal context I have found
difficulties in finding the formal way to say funny. After searching the synonym of
funny in Meriam Webster dictionary, amusing has caught my attention and it is
indeed sounds politer to me. Therefore, I have been using amusing in formal context
when I meet new people as well as my superior. The problem is, it is correct to make a
statement that amusing is for formal situation and funny for the informal situation.
Are there any differences in context of using funny and amusing that deny the
statement?

According to Hanks (2012), corpus linguistics is primarily concerned with
interpreting observed language in order to arrive at statements on patterns in word
meaning or syntactic composition.
Collocations was first brought up by Palmer (1933) in English language teaching.
However, in 1957, Firth introduced collocations to the theoretical linguistics.
Collocations are pervasive in texts of all genres and domains. Collocation can be
defined as the grammatical company a word keeps and the positions it refers (Hoey,
2005).
English is rich in synonyms and it often become a great challenge for EFL (English as
Foreign Language) learners. Church (1994) in his article did a lexical substitutability
test in a corpus study of the near synonyms ask for, request and demand, which results
the same finding: the substitutability of lexical items in the same linguistic context
constitutes a good indicator of their semantic similarity.

The End Satire
The end is something anyone can foretell. Sarah gets the dollar bill and tracks John
while John gets the book and tracks her all the way to England. They both break off
their engagement and later become engaged to each other. This movie represents how
the characters end up falling in love with other people, only relying on fate to bring
them to one another.
Unlike most films in the romance genre, this film does not have any strong language
or strong sex scenes. The main characters of the movie have good supporting
characters to ground them. John s uses humor while Sarah s is just a cynic. Sarah s
best friend sells New Age candles that someone lights as she waits for her soul mate.
Unfortunately, this prevents them from ever getting out there
The Significance of Vietnam War
The Significance of The Vietnam War Within one generation, The United States
have experienced The Second World War, The Korean War and fifteen years of The
Cold War crisis. The Vietnam War was the last drop into the cup of American
patience. The costs of The Vietnam War were intolerable, because they contravened
traditional American values and hopes. In the year 1965, American government
announced, with public support, that America is going to win the guerilla war and
defeat the global communist conspiracy . It also promised to build free institutions in
South East Asia. Two years later, in the year 1967, the same affair was considered
not only as unsuccessful, but also as a gruesome action of the politicians. In one
moment, the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Strategic bombing, limited war, search and destroy strategies, supporting the corrupt
indigenous governments all proved useless in Vietnam. From than on, America would
fight only where U.S. goals were clear, public support assured, power overwhelming,
and thus victory certain. The Vietnam War also caused American economic instability
В– Johnson s government financed the war without heightening the taxes, which
increased the deficit. The government enlarged amounts of money in circulation
and therefore started a strong inflation of prices. The growth of inflation has begun
in year 1967, when it reached three percent. In the year 1973 it was already nine
percent and it exceeded twelve percent only one year later. The unemployment was,
in the beginning of Nixon s governing season, 3.3 percent, but it grew to six percent
in the year 1970. The economy was being destroyed for the rest of the decade.
Another new phenomenon, which The Vietnam War had brought to America, was
student s disturbances and riots; at the end of the sixties, protests of the students
became a world trend. In America, this trend was to be seen firstly in 1960 and
1961, when a noticeable number of students took part in peaceful В– at least for the
time being В– strikes. Later, more and more young people felt disappointed with the
government s attitude towards the contemporary situation. The pervasive deception

Adam Eve Lost in Paradise
Paradise Lost by John Milton: Discuss the relationship between Adam and Eve, as
portrayed in Book 9 of Paradise Lost. How does Milton s portrayal compare to or
differ from how Adam and Eve are typically portrayed, described, or understood?
Thoughts of Eve conjure images of a meek woman who is submissive and created
to serve her husband. Adam is thought of as a strong, beautiful man created in the
likeness of God. He is the ruler of land and sea and leader of all mankind. Their
relationship is thought of as idyllic and unified, even throughout and after their fall.
However, Milton casts a different light on their relationship and personal traits in
Book 9 of Paradise Lost.
Adam s submissive helpmate becomes an independent, contrary, ... Show more

Therefore, his love for her leads him to eat the fruit because if she is to die then he
chooses to die with her because as he says in line 959 to lose thee were to lose myself
(2111).
Now that they both have sinned, the relationship becomes one of contention,
contrary to the traditional image. Sexually it is lustful and depraved lacking the
love and intimacy they once shared. Adam is no longer mild towards Eve, but
accusatory and blaming even speaking harshly too her which is opposite of how he
treated her before the apple. She in turn retaliates against him and tries to blame him
for not being stronger. She even accuses of him of not being able to withstand the
temptation if it had been him. Sadly, what becomes of their relationship is a blame
game that is fruitless and controlled by pride with neither taking responsibility for
their actions (2116).
In the end of this book, Milton inserts an interesting point about the male/female
relationship that easily could be overlooked. He switches from Adam making a
point about Eve, to generalizing all women of which Eve is the representative.
Adam talks of Eve s confidence and perfection and how much he admired her, but
realizes that is where he went wrong calling it his crime (2116). Then he makes the
shift towards women, which is craftily done by Milton, almost like a forewarning to
men to beware of the power of women in the following:

Speech Language Pathologist Application Essay
My interest in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) stemmed from a research project
during my undergraduate studies, but my personal and professional experiences

Ethics of Deception in Advertising
Ethics of deception in advertising: Why is deceptive advertising morally
objectionable? 1. Introduction In the world of today, the role of marketing within the
business community has increased exponentially. Nowadays consumers are presented
with countless purchase opportunities, numerous providers and various points of
value. In order to attract and retain their buyers, economic agents devise and
implement a wide array of strategic efforts, including the creation of strong and
aggressive marketing campaigns. Marketing today is virtually present in all aspects
of life and it addresses virtually anybody, from young children to senior consumers,
and selling anything from toys and diapers to medicine. And in ensuring an increase
in the demand for the advertised product, often times marketers use deception in their
campaigns. The specialized literature on the aspect of deception in advertising is
rather scarce and its primary shortage is that of not having coined a universally
accepted definition of deceptive advertising. Additionally, another problem is raised
by the fact that deceptive advertising is often accepted as unethical, yet evidence
lacks in this sense. In such a context then, the current project sets out to establish a
more thorough understanding of the concept of deceptive advertising and to assess
its ethical dimension. 2. Deceptive advertising defined As it has been mentioned
throughout the previous section, the specialized literature has not yet

The Issue Of North Korea
The majority of the people who live in the United States and elsewhere around the
world, have no idea the extent of freedom we have in comparison to some. Living in
North America, where freedom runs through the veins of our constitution, it is hard
to imagine a world more restrictive than our own. Things that we take for granted,
such as access to the internet, are not available under the same circumstances in
North Koreaas they are here. North Korea is the number one most censored country
on the planet, and their strict limitations placed on Internet usage accounts for most
of that ranking, is commonly referred to as a media monopoly and a mosquito net,
because of the intense control over the information that goes in and out of the country.
The current leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, with the help of the former
leaders, have completely re programmed the Internet as we know it in order to
make it virtually impossible for their citizens to gain outside information. The
country is filled with propaganda, even in places where it s citizens least expect it.
For example, something as subtle as the font size of Kim Jong Un s name is
different. Anytime Kim Jong Un s name is mentioned online, the font of his name is
slightly bigger than all of the text around it. Similarly, instead of a computer screen
reading the year 2012 it reads the year 101 which represents the number of years
since the birth of Kim Jong Il Sung, the country s former leader. The government is

Isolation In A Rose For Emily
William Faulkner wrote a short story called A Rose for Emily. This story stuns
many readers starting from the beginning to the end. This story is based upon a
woman named Miss Emily Grierson and the isolated life she lives. The people in
the town she lives in gossip about her life. As this story goes on, readers can see
how Emily and her mental status changes. In the end of the story, it talks about
how the townspeople discovered a gruesome murder that Miss Emily committed.
The ending can give a sense to readers that something was not right with her. This
story can be portrayed as how Miss Emily begins to become mentally unstable,
which leads to a psychotic break because of social isolation, the death of her father,
and the influences of society. In this story, Miss Emily goes through so much that
she is ... living as a lonely recluse in her family s decaying aristocratic house for
more than forty years until her death (Hsu and Wang 87). When Emily s father was
still alive, ... he chases off every suitor that comes near her, denying Emily the
choice of taking up the traditional role of wife... and ... isolating her from the
townspeople (Hsu and Wang 89). The strictness of her father and the fact that Emily
... tries to live in the old aristocratic honor... has kept Emily living all alone and
separated from the town (Hsu and Wang). Living alone with only one person, her
manservant, impacted her social life. This severe time of isolation affected her
mental stability because

How did The Odessa Steps sequence influence the theory of montage in film?
The Battleship Potemkin, is a soviet film directed by Sergei Eisenstein in 1925.
Sergei Eisenstein was a brief student at The Kuleshov Workshop, which was a class
run by Soviet filmmaker, Lev Kuleshov at the
Moscow Film School. The school was established in 1919, and is the world s first
film school.
The Kuleshov Workshop explored the effects of juxtaposition in film, and how
sequential shots convey a specific meaning. Kuleshov and his students analyzed many
films for research, and one of them in particular was the most influential film in
Russia during 1916, Intolerance directed by D. W. Griffith.
A whole year later in 1920, the Kuleshov effect was found, and its theory was to
identify how the order of images can change an audience s perception. Kuleshov
discovered that depending on how shots are assembled the audience will attach a
specific meaning or emotion to it (The Kuleshov Experiment http:/
/www.elementsofcinema.com/editing/kuleshov effect, 2016). Alfred Hitchcock s
1960 film Psycho is an example of this trope, as the audience s comprehension of the
shower scene is predominantly psychological, and is determined by the ordering of
images and sound, not the actual content.
After the success of Sergei Eisenstein s first full length feature film, Strike in 1920, he
was commissioned by the Soviet government to make a film commemorating the
historical uprising of the revolution in 1905,

Research Paper On Nail Salons
A nail polish that doesn t chip is basically the Holy Grail of mani pedis and the $6
billion nail salon industry claims to have found it in a gel.
Over the last couple of years, the gel manicure has grown in popularity: Two thirds
of salons now offer the service, which is supposed to provide the long wear of an
acrylic without the accompanying nail damage.
Still, mixed in with all the hype are complaints that gel nails do still chip, the
polish can only be taken off by visiting a salon and drowning one s fingers in
acetone, and horror of horrors, the color selection is lacking. Worse yet, they may
cause serious nerve damage and infections. If something seems too good to be true, it

The Political Theology Of The Spanish State
conversion to the political theology of the Spanish State. We argued that the
articulation of forced conversion as a paramount goal of the State s ontological
aspirations relies upon a misunderstanding apropos of the alleged divine
performativity of the Law. We then moved to The Turn and analysed the literary
sublimation that Cervantes operates in Don QuixoteI II apropos of the
aforementioned political reality. In particular, we focused on the way Cervantes s
ingenium relies upon the trope of conversion (literary sense) and on how its
deployment helped Cervantes circumvent the inquisitorial censorship while
suspending the reader s belief in the State s ontological tendency (and by extension,
in forced conversion as the crowning policy of that ambition). As part of this task,
we analyzed a multiplicity of semantic (featuring a symbolism linked to the
countryside, the military, the economic, the religious, the political, the professional
fields, to name but a few) and non semantic displacements (related to the materiality
of language as such) across forms (novel and theatre, but also poetry) and genres

The Pledge and The Turn it is now time for us to ask ourselves the following
question: for all this string of ecstatic conversions, wherein, though, resides The
Prestige of Cervantes as instantiated in Don Quixote Parts I II?

According to these articles, his sales has doubled between 2011 and 2012. If these
stats are correct this venture has proved very lucrative for Tyler. Since there is
nearly no overhead or material cost to produce these digital farm manuals, besides the
initial scanning, almost all of his net income is pure profit.
Tyler stated that at the startup of Farms Manuals Fast he only sold one or two a
week. His customer base has since grown considerably. According to an article
published on Farm Show Fichum has sold manuals to customers in 25 countries and
every state in the U.S. (Farmshow.com) A year later The Daily Iowan published an
article stating that Tyler Finchum now has more than 10,000 customers in five
countries. (Jain 1) As of right now Tyler is only selling his manuals to English
speaking countries. If he broadens his library to contain the same manuals in different
languages, such as Chinese, Russian, and Spanish, his customer base would nearly
triple and so would his profit.
Tyler prices his manuals depending on how many pages it contains. The average
price for one of his manuals is $19.99. The bigger manuals which may contain
several smaller manuals can cost up to $99.99. These manuals can be up to almost
2000 pages long. Tyler has considered formulating more of a supply and demand
method of pricing but states there really isn t a need to until competition starts
picking up.

The Evolution Of The Correctional System
The Evolution of the Correctional System
Nicholas Russo
CJC 3010

Throughout history, there has been many different methods for corrections. Looking
back over time, you can see how the correctional system has evolved from the harsh,
brutal, inhumane ways of the 16th century, to the rehabilitation methods of today. In
the correctional system, there are different types of correctional facilities, various
custody levels, and a time where it all started. The United States correctional system
is a complicated system to fully comprehend. There are many different kinds of
facilities one can go to for corrections, and also there are numerous jurisdictions
inside the system. There are federal facilities, state, and local facilities. Federal
facilities vary in levels from low, to complex in order to be able to assign an offender
to their appropriate facility. There are different kinds of facilities inmates can go to,
there are Prison Camps, Federal Correctional Institutions, Unites States Penitentiary,
Administrative Facilities, and Federal Correctional Complexes.
The first federal facility is minimum security institutions, which are Prison Camps.
Prison Camps have minimal security and usually have a higher inmate to staff ratio.
Prison Camps have relatively low amounts of fencing around the facilities, and
sometimes don t have fencing at all. Inmates in these camps sleep inside dorms, and
are in a work or study program.
The second federal facility which

An Essay About Yourself. Myself essay in English 10 line on myself myself short essay on ...

  • 1. An Essay About Yourself Crafting an essay about yourself can be a daunting task, as it requires a delicate balance between self-expression and humility. The challenge lies in presenting a comprehensive yet concise overview of your life, experiences, and aspirations without sounding boastful or self-indulgent. It's akin to walking a tightrope, where one misstep could lead to either underselling or overselling oneself. The difficulty intensifies when you consider the introspective nature of the task. Reflecting on personal strengths and weaknesses, achievements, and defining moments can be emotionally taxing. Striking the right tone becomes a delicate dance between confidence and modesty. Moreover, the pressure to make your story engaging and memorable adds another layer of complexity. After all, a bland and unremarkable self-portrait is unlikely to leave a lasting impression. Then there's the challenge of maintaining authenticity. It's tempting to embellish achievements or present a curated version of oneself to create a more impressive narrative. However, the risk of being perceived as disingenuous looms large. Navigating the fine line between authenticity and the desire to make a strong impression requires careful consideration and self-awareness. The struggle with the essay about yourself is not just limited to content but extends to the structural and stylistic aspects. Finding the right balance between formality and personal expression, ensuring coherence in the narrative, and avoiding clichГ©s are all part of the writer's uphill journey. It's like assembling a puzzle with pieces that constantly shift in shape and size. In the end, writing an essay about yourself demands a high level of introspection, writing skill, and a keen understanding of the audience's expectations. It's a test of both content and presentation, where success hinges on the writer's ability to reveal their true self while captivating the reader's attention. As you navigate the complexities of self-expression in written form, it's worth noting that support is available. If the challenges seem insurmountable, there are resources like HelpWriting.net where assistance with similar essays and more can be sought. Professionals skilled in the art of personal expression stand ready to guide you through the process, ensuring that your unique story is told with clarity and impact. • 2. Exploring The Potential For Addiction On line gaming has grown a great deal in the last decade, connecting players in countries around the world. World of Warcraft is perhaps the best known massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG). These games are incredibly immersive and generally have no real ending, with players able to continue the game indefinitely via expansions and new content being added. A pilot study by Hussain and Griffiths (2009) set out to explore the potential for addictionto an MMORPG, within its psychological and psychosocial effects on players. Generally, studies of MMORPGs have not had a specific focus on addiction or the psychology of on line gaming (as cited in Hussain Griffiths, 2009). At the time of their study, it was estimated that there were five million online gamers worldwide (as cited in Hussain Griffiths, 2009). According to the statistical analysis site Statista, as of 2013 approximately 144.9 million people worldwide are active daily players of online games, an increase of almost 3000 percent. Hussain and Griffiths note that playing an MMORPG can become an escape from a player s real life, and a substitute for the social interactions involved in reality. Therefore, the importance of studying MMORPG s potential for addiction, and research regarding possible pathology, is even more relevant. Hussain and Griffiths explored two hypotheses: (1) assess the impact of online gaming on the lives of gamers, the independent variable being online gaming, the dependent,

For instance, other countries define themselves by their accent or by the types of food they consume. According to Sarah Song, To be or to become an American, a person did not have to be any particular national, linguistic, religious, or ethnic background. All he had to do was to commit himself to the political ideology centered on the abstract ideals of liberty, equality, and republicanism (31). However, according to Thomas Jefferson, in The Declaration of Independence, all men are created equal (n.p). The thought of all men being created as equal is a simple ideology of the past. Now, in America, equality consists of having equal rights and opportunities whether the individual is a male or female. However, today in America, equality has not fully been fully achieved. For instance, we are still experiencing income inequality. According to Peter Finocchiaro, Income inequality has grown dramatically since the mid 70s far more in the US than in most advanced countries (n.p). Furthermore, The top 10 percent of Americans earn nearly three quarters of all income in the country, leaving the poor with whatever is left (Finocchiaro n.p). Another inequality in America is racial inequality. For instance, Arizona passed the SB 1020 bill. Nicholas Riccardi stated, The bill directs police to determine the immigration status of non criminals if there is a reasonable suspicion they are undocumented. Immigrant rights groups say it amounts to a police state (n.p). Therefore, the abstract idea of equality in America is not one that is truly fulfilled. Equality for me is more accurately defined as a fairytale, were we as Americans only dream about it, yet never fully turn it into a realization. The last thing one needs in

In the beginning stages of what we know today as our system of government, the Founders were combing through numerous sources in order to inquire about past entities and were in constant debate over how the United States was to be set up and how it was to run more smoothly than previous examples. The Founders were profoundly interested in the works of two different ideologies: Classical Republicanism, which was inspired by the political writings of Greek philosophers, Aristotle and Polybius, and Roman philosopher Cicero; and Natural Rights Philosophy, which came to the forefront by many political philosophers including ... This stress on education in the Natural Rights philosophy would also lower the chance of an abusive and tyrannical government from arising due to Locke stating the right to revolution if and only if the needs of the populace are not being fulfilled by the existing political system. The Tragedy Of Clytemnestra And Cassandra s Agamemnon Jordan Arnold Professor Wilder Blue Humanities 9/19/17 Prompt 3 In the tragedy of Agamemnon, both Clytemnestra and Cassandra have their opinions of Agamemnon. He has shown the type of King he truly is. Clytemnestra, his wife, has took action in her own hands when it came to dealing with Agamemnon. This resulted in his brutal death where he least expected it. Cassandra, priestess of Apollo, was cursed with gift of prophecy but no one will believe her. With that being said she knew things were going to end bad with Agamemnon before everyone else. This is why Cassandra remains a noble prophet when Agamemnon tries to lead her into temptation. With them being the voice of the play they commonly explain their emotions towards Agamemnon out of anger. They both know that the things that he is doing is morally wrong and not the work of a honest king. Clytemnestra had to deal with things that a wife should not have to deal with. Was it him sacrificing his own daughter for the gods, or even him having a mistress while he was gone at war.Agamemnon s main goal was to show that he had dominance over her along with his kingdom. She envied the fact that he was able to make these decisions without any sense of sympathy for anyone. The death of Agamemnon was revenge for the death of her daughter. Agamemnon killed a deer in a grove sacred to Artemis so the gods did not provide wind for the sail boats once they tried to set sail to Troy to go to war. Then it is revealed

The medical experiments of the SS were experiments performed by doctors on prisoners. During World War II, a number of German physicians conducted painful and often deadly experiments on thousands of concentration camp prisoners without their consent. Unethical medical experimentation carried out during the Third Reich may be divided into three categories. The three categories consisted of experiments aimed at facilitating the survival of Axis military personnel. The second category of experimentation aimed at developing and testing pharmaceuticals and treatment methods for injuries and illnesses which German military and occupation personnel encountered in the field. While living in this room, the persona learns about the previous tenant s, Mr Bleaney, life, and how the basic and empty room reflects his personality. The persona s unspoken thoughts gives the reader a clear insight to Mr Bleaney s monotonous life and the sort of man he was. By the end of the poem, the persona realises that by accepting these terrible living conditions, he is in fact becoming Mr Bleaney. Mr Bleaney s yearly frame mentions nothing about him going out or doing anything with friends, conveying the idea that Bleaney has isolated himself from other people. The reader finds this interesting as he did nothing to prevent himself being isolated and lonely, but instead accepted that this was his fate. The persona s tone changes from contemptuous to reflective in the last two stanzas, showing that it is not only the reader that is intrigued by the character of Mr Bleaney. He wonders if: how we live measures our own nature, Here, the reader sees that the persona has realised that by renting this bed sit, he is stepping into Mr Bleaney s shoes. The persona fears that this has become his fate, and that he will accept this standard of living just like Mr Bleaney did. The tone in this stanza differs from that of the first five as the persona s first thoughts was that Mr Bleaney was pathetic for living like this and not striving for more, but here the persona has come to a self realisation that Bleaney and himself are fellow sufferers. This interests the reader as we wonder why anybody, in knowing about Mr Bleaney, would allow themselves to do the same thing as Bleaney did

The government enlarged amounts of money in circulation and therefore started a strong inflation of prices. The growth of inflation has begun in year 1967, when it reached three percent. In the year 1973 it was already nine percent and it exceeded twelve percent only one year later. The unemployment was, in the beginning of Nixon s governing season, 3.3 percent, but it grew to six percent in the year 1970. The economy was being destroyed for the rest of the decade. Another new phenomenon, which The Vietnam War had brought to America, was student s disturbances and riots; at the end of the sixties, protests of the students became a world trend. In America, this trend was to be seen firstly in 1960 and 1961, when a noticeable number of students took part in peaceful В– at least for the time being В– strikes. Later, more and more young people felt disappointed with the government s attitude towards the contemporary situation. The pervasive deception by the government about the war created a huge increase of
  • 24. Adam Eve Lost in Paradise Paradise Lost by John Milton: Discuss the relationship between Adam and Eve, as portrayed in Book 9 of Paradise Lost. How does Milton s portrayal compare to or differ from how Adam and Eve are typically portrayed, described, or understood? Thoughts of Eve conjure images of a meek woman who is submissive and created to serve her husband. Adam is thought of as a strong, beautiful man created in the likeness of God. He is the ruler of land and sea and leader of all mankind. Their relationship is thought of as idyllic and unified, even throughout and after their fall. However, Milton casts a different light on their relationship and personal traits in Book 9 of Paradise Lost. Adam s submissive helpmate becomes an independent, contrary, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, his love for her leads him to eat the fruit because if she is to die then he chooses to die with her because as he says in line 959 to lose thee were to lose myself (2111). Now that they both have sinned, the relationship becomes one of contention, contrary to the traditional image. Sexually it is lustful and depraved lacking the love and intimacy they once shared. Adam is no longer mild towards Eve, but accusatory and blaming even speaking harshly too her which is opposite of how he treated her before the apple. She in turn retaliates against him and tries to blame him for not being stronger. She even accuses of him of not being able to withstand the temptation if it had been him. Sadly, what becomes of their relationship is a blame game that is fruitless and controlled by pride with neither taking responsibility for their actions (2116). In the end of this book, Milton inserts an interesting point about the male/female relationship that easily could be overlooked. He switches from Adam making a point about Eve, to generalizing all women of which Eve is the representative. Adam talks of Eve s confidence and perfection and how much he admired her, but realizes that is where he went wrong calling it his crime (2116). Then he makes the shift towards women, which is craftily done by Milton, almost like a forewarning to men to beware of the power of women in the following: Thus it shall befall Him who to

  • 26. Ethics of Deception in Advertising Ethics of deception in advertising: Why is deceptive advertising morally objectionable? 1. Introduction In the world of today, the role of marketing within the business community has increased exponentially. Nowadays consumers are presented with countless purchase opportunities, numerous providers and various points of value. In order to attract and retain their buyers, economic agents devise and implement a wide array of strategic efforts, including the creation of strong and aggressive marketing campaigns. Marketing today is virtually present in all aspects of life and it addresses virtually anybody, from young children to senior consumers, and selling anything from toys and diapers to medicine. And in ensuring an increase in the demand for the advertised product, often times marketers use deception in their campaigns. The specialized literature on the aspect of deception in advertising is rather scarce and its primary shortage is that of not having coined a universally accepted definition of deceptive advertising. Additionally, another problem is raised by the fact that deceptive advertising is often accepted as unethical, yet evidence lacks in this sense. In such a context then, the current project sets out to establish a more thorough understanding of the concept of deceptive advertising and to assess its ethical dimension. 2. Deceptive advertising defined As it has been mentioned throughout the previous section, the specialized literature has not yet

Living in North America, where freedom runs through the veins of our constitution, it is hard to imagine a world more restrictive than our own. Things that we take for granted, such as access to the internet, are not available under the same circumstances in North Koreaas they are here. North Korea is the number one most censored country on the planet, and their strict limitations placed on Internet usage accounts for most of that ranking, is commonly referred to as a media monopoly and a mosquito net, because of the intense control over the information that goes in and out of the country. The current leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, with the help of the former leaders, have completely re programmed the Internet as we know it in order to make it virtually impossible for their citizens to gain outside information. The Battleship Potemkin, is a soviet film directed by Sergei Eisenstein in 1925. Sergei Eisenstein was a brief student at The Kuleshov Workshop, which was a class run by Soviet filmmaker, Lev Kuleshov at the Moscow Film School. The school was established in 1919, and is the world s first film school. The Kuleshov Workshop explored the effects of juxtaposition in film, and how sequential shots convey a specific meaning. Kuleshov and his students analyzed many films for research, and one of them in particular was the most influential film in Russia during 1916, Intolerance directed by D. W. Griffith. A whole year later in 1920, the Kuleshov effect was found, and its theory was to identify how the order of images can change an audience s perception. Kuleshov discovered that depending on how shots are assembled the audience will attach a specific meaning or emotion to it (The Kuleshov Experiment http:/ /www.elementsofcinema.com/editing/kuleshov effect, 2016). Alfred Hitchcock s 1960 film Psycho is an example of this trope, as the audience s comprehension of the shower scene is predominantly psychological, and is determined by the ordering of images and sound, not the actual content. After the success of Sergei Eisenstein s first full length feature film, Strike in 1920, he was commissioned by the Soviet government to make a film commemorating the historical uprising of the revolution in 1905,

We argued that the articulation of forced conversion as a paramount goal of the State s ontological aspirations relies upon a misunderstanding apropos of the alleged divine performativity of the Law. We then moved to The Turn and analysed the literary sublimation that Cervantes operates in Don QuixoteI II apropos of the aforementioned political reality. In particular, we focused on the way Cervantes s ingenium relies upon the trope of conversion (literary sense) and on how its deployment helped Cervantes circumvent the inquisitorial censorship while suspending the reader s belief in the State s ontological tendency (and by extension, in forced conversion as the crowning policy of that ambition). As part of this task, we analyzed a multiplicity of semantic (featuring a symbolism linked to the countryside, the military, the economic, the religious, the political, the professional fields, to name but a few) and non semantic displacements (related to the materiality of language as such) across forms (novel and theatre, but also poetry) and genres (epic, comedy, tragedy, tragicomedy, realistic fiction, romance and satire)iv. In the correctional system, there are different types of correctional facilities, various custody levels, and a time where it all started. The United States correctional system is a complicated system to fully comprehend. There are many different kinds of facilities one can go to for corrections, and also there are numerous jurisdictions inside the system. There are federal facilities, state, and local facilities.
