Essays On Advertisements
1. Essays On Advertisements
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Essays On Advertisements" can be both challenging and
intriguing. The difficulty arises from the multifaceted nature of the topic itself. Advertisements
encompass a broad spectrum, ranging from traditional print and television ads to the more
contemporary digital and social media platforms. The challenge lies in navigating this diverse
landscape and presenting a cohesive analysis that captures the essence of advertising in its
various forms.
To begin with, researching the history and evolution of advertisements is essential.
Understanding the cultural, social, and economic factors that have influenced the development
of advertising over time adds depth to the essay. Exploring the psychology behind effective
advertising strategies, the impact of visual elements, and the use of persuasive techniques further
complicates the writing process.
Moreover, addressing the ethical considerations surrounding advertisements introduces a layer of
complexity. Analyzing the fine line between informative promotion and manipulative tactics
requires a nuanced approach. Balancing the positive aspects of advertisements, such as their role
in promoting products and driving economic growth, with the potential negative consequences,
such as fostering unrealistic expectations and contributing to consumerism, demands careful
consideration.
The dynamic nature of the advertising landscape, with constant technological advancements and
shifts in consumer behavior, adds another layer of difficulty. Staying abreast of the latest trends
and incorporating relevant examples to illustrate points can be time-consuming but is crucial for
an up-to-date and comprehensive essay.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on "Essays On Advertisements" involves navigating through a
maze of historical, psychological, ethical, and contemporary aspects of advertising. The writer
must carefully balance various perspectives to provide a well-rounded analysis. It is indeed a
challenging endeavor, but one that offers an opportunity to delve into a captivating and ever-
evolving subject.

2. Dreamliner 787 Case Study
Boeing is the worlds largest aerospace company. While Boeing is known mostly
known for their commercial airplanes they also manufactures defense, space and
security systems, military aircrafts, weapons, satellites, electronic defense systems,
launch systems and information and communication systems (Boeing, 2013). In this
case we are going to focus on the Dreamliner 787, and the problems that came with
the creation of it. The first Boeing 787Dreamliner was delivered to Japan s ANA in
2011, nearly 40 months after the planned delivery date. The expected delivery was
in May 2008, but the fuel efficient 787 Dreamliner s manufacturing had become
complicated due to multiple changes in the design and supply chain implemented all
at once. Far from the traditional manufacturing, Dreamliner design consists of many
new features like unique design, one piece fuselage, reduced weight, 20% increase
in fuel economy, and reduction in maintenance time. Apart from the changes in
design, another major difficulty was the company s global supply chain network.
For the first time ever Boeing outsourced two most critical parts fuselage and
wings. Everything put together, the complications kept increasing and so is the
delay. At least when the plane finally the entered the market years later design came
out as expected, and there weren t any sacrifices to the design that had to be made.
The plane can hold from 210 250 passengers on routes of 7650 8200 nautical miles
and satisfies the fuel
3. Archetypes In The Grapes Of Wrath
John Steinbeck s The Grapes of Wrath, a universal, timeless tale of everyday people
and their struggle, has impacted the American consciousness and ethical standard
since its publication in 1939. Steinbeck s writing utilizes common, everyday, but
deliberate word choice, made thought provoking and pervasive by syntactical
arrangement. This effective aspect of Steinbeck s language, sentence structure, gets
the reader thinking about various common themes such as man s inhumanity to
fellow man, altruism, group vs. individual, gender roles, and family dynamics in
ways in which he or she has not previously experienced. This characteristic of his
work, how his unsophisticated structure catalyzes new, innovative approaches by the
public to societal difficulties is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ma Joad, the citadel of the family, who teaches Tom the importance of empathy and
understanding for humankind, is the most consequential character to the
development of the major themes of the novel (74). Although women s roles in the
novel are limited to the nurturing wife and mother archetype, in the comprehensive
view of the study of the novel, Ma Joad s work in keeping the family whole, loving
Tom, and advising Rose of Sharon allows Steinbeck to put into question the fallacy
of entrenched power. Ma s role in the novel serves to help the author criticize
dictatorial masculinity by emphasizing the importance of emotion, female insight,
and coordination. A character that did not serve to enhance the understanding of the
thesis includes Noah, who did not add to or take away from the portrayal of any
major themes. When he walked down the river away from the family to embark on
his own it did not affect the progression of the plot greatly. Characterization, in
addition to plot, language, and good writing all affect the validity of the

the artist works on the soundstage inventing his world from scratch. Before the

5. Summary Between Lord Of The Glies And Lord Of The
Flies
Early man set up civilizations so future generations could live in peace and survive
in their surroundings. As early man developed civilizations, they contained five
characteristics. Three of the five are complex institutions, specialized workers, and
record keeping. Complex institutions are organizations like government and
religious organizations. Specialized workers are people like teachers, soldiers, and
priests. Finally, cuneiform tablets were used in record keeping to keep track of
rules and trade. The characters in Lord of the Flies mirror early man s
development through complex institutions, specialized workers and record
keeping. The boys in the novel Lord of the Flies mirror the development of early
man through complex institutions when they appoint a chief. In the historical
fiction novel, Clan of the Cave Bear, the text reads, the leader of the small clan...
(Auel 12). In the Lord of the Flies, after being called to the beach by the conch, the
boys vote for a chief to lead the mass of boys on the island similar to the early man
leader portrayed in Clan of the Cave Bear (Golding 22). The connection between
these texts demonstrates that the boys are going through the same development
phase as early man did. In both Lord of the Flies, and Clan of the Cave Bear, there
is a chief, and even more, a complex institution similar to a government. Now that a
government has been formed, there will be workers and a way to keep track of
events. The boys in the novel

Conformity would be an effective behavioral response if a person were in a cult,

school; you need to follow all the rules and respect others. If you do not conform,
even somewhat, to the school, then you would be considered an outcast or even get
in a lot of trouble. In school, it seems somewhat hard to conform to everything,
without losing yourself, but it is possible, and necessary to succeed in school. You

Soapstone is a soft material that is easy to be carved. However the stone breaks
very easily due to this soft nature, This week we are learning how to carve
soapstone pendants and jewelry, and we have already discovered several problems in
the carving process. Thus it is so fascinating to see what the Inuit culture has done
with this type of stone.
The Inuit peoples often use this as a sort of way to connect with their past and keep
it in their future. The art often connects to the stories and culture of the Inuit people,
such as carvings of spirit birds and other such items. However in the beginning (the
article I found says pre 1830s) these carvings were toys. That s right, childrens toys
for amusement and fun. This changed in the 1830s,

11. The Gospels Of Christian Beliefs In The Gospel Of John
The Gospel of John reflects a Christian tradition that is different from that of the other
gospels. Many individuals and groups within the early Christian movement rejected it
as heresy. However, it was ultimately accepted into the official canon, over many
objections. It is now the favorite gospel of many conservative Christians, and the
gospelleast referred to by many liberal Christians. The Gospel of Johnis noticeably
different from the other three Gospels in content, and the structure of the content.
The first chapter of John is very similar to the beginning of the Book of Genesis,
where it talks about the beginning of the world and creation. Another difference
between the Gospel of John and the other Synoptics is the lack of a certain miracle
Jesusperformed found in the book. Unlike the Gospel of Matthew, Mark, and Luke,
John has no record of Jesus performing exorcisms. While John does talk about
healing the sick and blind, nowhere in the Gospel do we find Jesus exorcising
demons. One of the main talking points within the Gospels is the ministry of Jesus.
From what we can determine, upon reading the four Gospels, we can see that of the
four, John tells us Jesus ministry lasted longer than a year. According to John, the
span of Jesus ministry lasted three years instead of one year (as depicted by the other
three Synoptics).
Unlike Matthew, Mark, and Luke, John primarily emphasized Jesus divinity instead
of humanity. A verse that supports John s focus of divinity
12. Ionic and Covalent Bonding Essay
Ionic and Covalent Bonding
Ionic and covalent bonding is involved when the atoms of an element chemically
combine to make their outer shells full and to make the atoms stable.
The first type of bonding you can get is ionic bonding. Electrons are transferred from
one atom to another to try and create full outer shells, this gain and loss of electrons
on the atoms results in positive and negative ions. In these compounds you get
electrostatic force, this is the force/attraction that occurs between the positive and
negative ions that hold the compound together. This type of bonding takes place
between metals and non metals. The metals lose electrons and form cations, whereas
the non metals gain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the size of the negative ion and the charge on the positive ion both increase and
the size of the positive ions decrease, the polarisation effect increases. This polar
ionic bonding gives many of the atoms covalent characters. Sometimes one of the
atoms become so highly polarised that they share the electrons and therefore can
create covalent bonds.
Covalent bonding takes place where two atoms have a single, unpaired electron in an
atomic orbital; these orbitals will therefore overlap so that the two atoms are sharing
a pair of electrons. The attraction that holds the atoms together is the force between
the electron and the nuclei in each of the atoms. Before the atoms are bonded, the
single, non bonded pairs of electrons are called lone pairs of electrons. When the
atoms combine by means of covalent bonding they form molecules.
Simple covalent compounds consist of many small molecules. The covalent bonds
within the molecules are strong but the bondings between them to form the
compounds are relatively weak, the force that occurs between them is called the
intermolecular force. It takes very little energy to break these forces; therefore
simple covalent compounds have very low melting points and generally appear as
gases.
You can also get multiple bonds; this is where atoms can share more than 2
13. Themes Of Monster By Walter Dean Myers
Monster by Walter Dean Myers has varied themes that the author wants the reader to
take away after reading the novel. Monster is about a sixteen year old named Steve
Harmon that was accused of felony murder. Harmon has never committed a crime
before and the novel is his version of a movie script; the reader only knows what he
writes down. Harmon has his own notes throughout the script and he describes
everything that is going on while the trial goes on. Evidently, the theme for Monster
is that telling the truth will depend on the future. In the view of this theme, there are
numerous points in the text that resemble it. In the text, it states, Mr. Harmon did go
into the store with the purpose of... Without regard to who actually pulled the... Show

The text states, CUT TO: STEVE sitting in back of van. He holds his hands out in
front of his face. They are shaking. CUT TO: STEVE on the stand (Myers 222).
These stage directions show that Harmon does not know where he is heading. We
know that Haron is on the stand and has to answer questions. He is only a teenager
and lying in court can have a large effect on his life. Also in the text, it states
Harmon s name and to the right it says nervously in parenthesis. This also shows
that he is stressed and having anxiety while on trial. This relates to the theme
because if anyone would lie on while on trial, it can jeopardize a free life. The text
also states, STEVE spreads his arms to hug O BRIEN, but she stiffens and turns to
pick up her papers... when Miss O Brien looked at me, after we had won the case,
what did she see that caused her to turn away (Myers 276, 281). The stage directions
and Harmon s own notes show that O Brien thought that he was guilty. Even though
Harmon was claimed not guilty, it does not mean that he did not commit the crime.
In addition, this is Harmon s movie; he could be lying and writing down whatever he
wants. This relates to the theme because lying could show true colors to others. O
Brien thinks of Harmon as a Monster and someone that cannot be
14. The Athabasca Tar Sands Has Caused Great Environmental
Damage
The Athabasca tar sands are the 2nd largest tar sands in the world, covering an area
over the size of the state of Florida. The tar sands are estimated to have enough oil
to produce 1.7 2.5 trillion barrels of oil (Levant 4), and this large supply of oil has
made Canada the #1 supplier of oil to America. The oil in Athabasca is originally
Bitumen, which has a thick texture, almost like peanut butter, and plasters sand and
minerals, which makes it very difficult to remove and produce. 80% of the oil is
over 75 meters underneath the surface (Riebeek), and can only be removed by
depositing hot water into the mine so that the oil can condense and be extracted. This
process is not only very expensive, but also has devastating environmental... Show

These tailings ponds leak 67 litres of the toxic water into the Athabasca River every
second (*2). This has caused the levels of toxic hydrocarbons in the nearby lakes
and rivers to become 2.5 23 times what it was before the development (Cotter). The
Athabasca river has also become extremely low, and the Athabasca glacier has
receded 1.5km since the tar sands expanded. The Alberta government is aware of
the growing water subject, and is trying to alleviate this impact by putting water
limits and weekly limits on how much water the oil companies can use (Alberta s
Oil Sands 5). They are also attempting to recycle the toxic water to moderate the
environmental impact. Alberta Premier, Ed Stelmach, says, There has been a lot of
talk lately about whose targets are toughest, or whose plan is better. While others are
talking, Alberta is acting. Our climate change plan ensures environmental protection
while allowing for continued economic growth. It is practical and achievable
(Alberta s Oil Sands 10).
Although the government is trying to lessen the water impact, they are quite late,
and some of the impacts are not possible to be fixed at this point. Another affect of
the toxic water seeping into the river is the impacts it has on the nearby First Nations
communities. The First Nations people in Fort Chipewyan are so concerned about
the affects the are begin forced to consider leaving the town built by their ancestors

Bipolar Disorder irritation has a great deal of strength behind it. The reaction

Figuring she is overwhelmed with her life, in general, the husband suggests getting a

Another indication of Bipolar Disorder is creating and believing concepts or

19. Film Analysis Of Baz Luhrmann s Romeo And Juliet
As one of the most monumental anniversaries of all time approaches, it is only
right that we revisit the work of one of the most inspirational people of all time.
Obviously, this means William Shakespeare, right? Not quite. Although
Shakespeare to some is the godfather of literature, he can also be seen as the
godfather of boredom. That is why it has been decided to review a different type of
Shakespearean play. 400 years ago marks the death of William Shakespeare, and
while his worth is still regarded among older generations, it does not have quite the
same effect on the younger. That is until Baz Luhrmann graced the silver screens
with his youthful and lively interpretation of Romeo and Juliet. The 1996 version set
in a modern day America has enraptured and educated a whole new generation of
young people for the past 21 years and promises to continue to stand the test of time.
So what makes Romeo + Julietso good?
For anyone that has seen this film, it goes without saying that what Baz Luhrmann
has created is stunningly beautiful. With elements such as music, sound and editing,
not to mention the mis en scene that shapes the film and the actors performance to
corroborate it, this is not just any ordinary movie. Romeo + Juliet has the opportunity
to transform and take viewers to another world right from the moment they press play.

20. The Explorer Poem Analysis
The Explorer was written during the civil rights movement when Brooks started to
focus on writing for the black community. Through the blood, sweat, and sacrifice her
community experiences every day, she is inspired to write this particular piece to
show that African Americans, although are scared, will keep fighting and searching
for their utopia. Starting from stanza one, the word frayed stands out the most.
Repeated twice, it immediately tells the reader that the situation is not that of hope
and is life changing to the main character. Still spot also references that the main
character is looking for a quiet setting. The theme of quiet and peace is renounced
in stanza two as words such as velvet peace and willy hush also go along with the
peace and quiet theme. Now, the reader gains a better sense of the financial
condition of the main character. Tatters makes the reader think that the main
character is poor and financially challenged, and knowing Brooks purpose of the
poem is about revitalizing hope for the black community, the main character is most
likely black male. Moreover, Brooks inserts a metaphor that comprises most of the
stanza and ultimately depicts that the character in the poem is trying to find peace
and quiet both within a house and his mind (Poem 3). Next in stanza three, the main
purpose of this stanza is to describe what exactly is happening to the main character.
Tipping down the scrambled halls reveals that the main character does not
21. Should The Soviets Try To Imitate The West In Lifestyle
The Soviets try to imitate the West in lifestyle by portraying a life of abundance.
They do this by giving an impression that all Soviets are happy and have all they
need. In a poster it can be seen that a man is standing with his arms filled with
different products to be able to support his family and in the background we see an

demands of the workplace and those of their families and other personal

business executives in addition to traveling extensively also tend to dedicate long

which criteria should one use to differentiate between dehumanizing actions and
actions considered humanizing? In our case, is requiring employees to dedicate a
significant chunk of their time to work a dehumanizing action? In my opinion, it is.
This I will highlight using one of the main ethical theories i.e. Kantian ethics.
According to Geschwindt (2007), the emphasis on duty is central to Kantian ethics.
In the author s opinion, if an action is based on duty, then that action can be
regarded a good action. However, Geschwindt (2007) most importantly points out
that in the opinion of Kant, duty is what reason, not God, commands. Thus in Kant s
opinion, an action can be considered ethical if that action happens to be the right
thing to do i.e. it is backed up by a sense of duty. With that in mind, managers can be
said to have a duty of ensuring that employees achieve a healthy balance between
their personal/family lives and the demands of the job. Hence should managers
neglect this duty and

They also need to raise the price point for a single transaction. This combination of
higher margins and higher price points increases the contribution the amount of
money that goes to covering fixed and operating costs generated from every
transaction.
That s a tall order. But my experience leading businesses in Africa, India, and other
emerging economies shows that it can be done. In this article, I will show how to
build a margin boosting platform that can help companies solve the cost problems
inherent in bringing needed products and services to very poor markets. A few
companies are already using aspects of a platform to improve their profitability
prospects, and S.C. Johnson, the householdproducts maker, has launched an
integrated margin boosting platform for selling insecticide in rural Ghana as part of
an effort to reduce malaria infection there. Initial results for that venture show the
financials moving in the right direction.

Abstract This paper presents the original findings of an approach to adopting the bit
stream signal to control a system. It contains the initial design process and
simulations of a bit stream based PID controller to control and stabilize the output of
a proposed Capacitive Power Transfer system in the discrete time domain. Processing
The simulated results use MATLAB s Simulink and illustrate the potential
performance of the controller. Compared against simulations of a similar nature in
continuous time, the bit stream implemented system yields near identical results.

The Joint Stock Companies Act 1844, which enabled companies to be formed by
deed of settlement and the Limited Liability Act 1855, established a general
incorporation procedure which offered limited liability to shareholders and gave
recognition to the company as a separate legal persona. By the Joint Stock Companies
Act 1856, the deed was replaced with today s style of constitution, namely the
registration of the Memorandum of Association and the Articles of Association. The
contents of these are now regulated under the Companies Act 1985, and form the
constitution of the company. It is from the original 1844 Act that the wording was
adopted for s.14 of the Companies Act 1985 which makes reference to the contractual

In the House of Lords it was held that the plaintiff could not rely on the said article,
when the company terminated his employment, as he was suing in his capacity of a
solicitor, i.e. enforcing an outsider right, which did not affect the constitutional rights
of the shareholders even though he was also a shareholder.
The second principle was established in the case of Foss v Harbuttle . The rule being
stated by Griffin in the following way:
An individual shareholder has no absolute right to seek redress for a wrong
purportedly committed against the company in which he is a member. The company
in such an instance is the proper plaintiff to instigate such an action. Whether the
company proceeds with the action will depend upon the will of the general meeting
and its board of directors. Only in exceptional circumstances will the court interfere
with a decision taken by the company to sanction the alleged wrongful act.
There are two parts to this doctrine; firstly that the courts will not interfere in the
internal management of the company. The grounds for this lie in the principle that
the majority shareholders should be able to decide whether a

In the context of the Vietnamese society as the course has presented it through the

In 1965 Congress passed the civil rights act in order to grant African Americans the
rights and freedom of every other American. Though this was one of the most
significant changes made in
American history there have still been many issues that root from racism and
discrimination. A surprising discovery made by researchers after conducting studies
on the subject, have shown since that period of time there has been a strong
relationship between those of religious beliefs and problems with racism. Though
there are a few religions which are extremely popular around the world, the most

There has clearly been a direct impact from one to the other over time. Additionally,
the problem too lies in the morality and intentions of each individual because
regardless of how strong one s devotion is to their religion we still understand the
concepts of right and wrong. Therefore it can be concluded that though it is not what
many religions express or support, the personal agenda of others along with their
take on religion and views, causes religion to have a negative impact on racism in

Porter s 5 Forces Analysis of the Retail Banking Industry in Australia
Retail banking can be defined as an industry where financial institutions offer mass
market banking in which individual customers use local branches of larger
commercial banks. Services offered include savings and checking accounts,
mortgages, personal loans, debit/credit cards.
Retail banking aims to be the one stop shop for as many financial services as possible
on behalf of retail clients. Some retail banks have even made a push into investment
services such as wealth management, brokerage accounts, private banking and

Suppliers Relative Bargaining Power
Current rating (Low) Future Rating (Low)
The suppliers of capital might not pose a big threat especially when the banks
viability was/is guaranteed by the federal government during the height of the GFC.
On the labour side, the threat of union interruptions is very low to non existent. The
banks have been quite clever in moving a lot of the front line staff offshore though
call centres to ensure that the labour supply is cheap and sustained. This is further
supported by the huge uptake of online banking by customers.
Buyer Relative Bargaining Power
Current rating (Low) Future Rating (Low) The individual doesn t pose much of a
threat to the banking industry, but one major factor affecting the power of buyers is
relatively high switching costs. If a person has a mortgage, car loan, credit card,
checking account and mutual funds with one particular bank, it can be extremely
tough for that person to switch to another bank. In an attempt to lure in customers,
banks try to lower the price of switching, but many people would still rather stick with
their current bank. On the other hand, large corporate clients have banks wrapped
around their little fingers. Financial institutions by offering better exchange rates,
more services, and exposure to foreign capital markets work extremely hard to get
high margin corporate clients.
Industry Attractiveness
One can conclude based on

authors Bain, Robinson, and Conser (2014) describe the police as reactive, meaning
they respond to a call for help. This limits police interaction with the community to
either being the victim, offender or witness of a crime. This relationship is then
connected to a negative memory no matter which role the individual plays. The
ability of the policeto function as an effective service is often predicated on the
positive image they maintain with the general public (Bain, Robinson, and Conser,

32. The Merits And Disadvantages Of The Four Spiritual Law
The Four Spiritual Laws are God s love, Man s sin, Christ s provision, and Our
responsibility. The first law, God s love, is teaching individuals that God loves
each and every individual that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on the cross for every
individual s sin (Word of Life Bible Institute). The second law, Man s sin, is teaching
individuals that if we do not accept Jesusinto our lives as our Savior, then we are
separated from God because He is sinless (Word of Life Bible Institute). The third
law, Christs provision, is teaching individuals that the only way to Heaven is
through Jesus Christ because He died on the cross for every individual (Word of
Life Bible Institute). The fourth law, our responsibility, is teaching individuals
that our responsibility is to individually accept Jesus as our Savior (Word of Life
Bible Institute). An advantage of the Four Spiritual Laws is if someone is
witnessing to another individual, the Four Spiritual Laws are the four main key
points to address when witnessing in a short period of time (Word of Life Bible
Institute). A disadvantage of the Four Spiritual Laws is that these laws only reach
people who acknowledge and know that basic principles of faith (Word of Life
Bible Institute). The Four Spiritual Laws are very purposeful when witnessing to
someone in a short period time and also can be individual s guide when trying to
figure out the key points in leading an individual to Christ.
Servant Evangelism Servant Evangelism is a method where Christians should reach
people with love, compassion, and service while having a kind heart, a generous
attitude, and an embracing smile (Methods of Evangelism, John Christy). If servant
evangelism is done with acceptable intentions, then individuals will begin to become
accepting of Christianity and perhaps want to learn more about Jesus (Methods of
Evangelism, John Christy). Some individuals believe that Christians are better than
everyone else, which is not true. An advantage to this type of evangelism is putting a
stop to the assumptions that Christians are above everyone else and continue being
involved by caring for people (Methods of Evangelism, John Christy). A disadvantage
to servant evangelism is when a Christian is

Using one s strengths and passions to achieve contentment in life is the key to
happiness. My contentment in life can be cultivated by finding solace in the
progress I make toward achieving my goals. My goals are to keep my body in the
best physical condition possible, work at a job that brings me joy, and lovea woman
with all of my heart. These goals would help my long term happiness because
foremost, I am very passionate about physical health. Second, working to support a
woman that I love would give me motivation everyday. In order to complete these
goals, I will need to take action and have a plan to ensure my future health, work, and
love.
Working to mold my body into the best shape possible is necessary to ensure
longevity in my life and prepare me for obstacles down the road. For example,
when I was waiting for my friend on the basketball court, an old veteran
approached me. He told me a story about how when he got back from the army
three of his friends had heart attacks. Two of them died, but the third friend,
however, survived. The old man attributed his friend s survival to the fact that he
was in such good physical condition because he played basketball every single day.
His story makes me want to continue the habit I formed last summer of making one
hundred basketball shots a day, so my body can be in the best shape possible to live a
prosperous life.
When writing my goal about health, I did not want to put the same New Year s

Adoption saves many children s lives and gives them new opportunities to create a
life they may desire. Adoption keeps children out of homeless shelters and prevents
them from living on the streets. Even though adoption provides many positives for
children, many adoption agencies, state governments, and birth parents do not agree
with same sex couples adopting children. There has been discrimination against same
sex couples adopting a child for decades. More than one hundred thousand children
are waiting to be adopted in the United States. Many children wait for a permanent
home with loving parents, and same sex couples should be granted the same rights as
heterosexual couples when it comes to providing children with a loving and happy
home. After the nineteenth century adoptionbecame less secretive, and modern
adoption laws were created to keep children safe, but there remains a stigma
against LGBT+ parents adopting children. Adoption is when an adult becomes the
legal guardian of another person s child, and adopting a child gives a person the
chance at becoming a mother or father (Barr p.10). There are several types of ways
to adopt a child. Potential parents can decide to adopt a child through an attorney,
facilitator, state agency, or private agency (p. Barr 29 33). Most agencies require
prospective parents to disclose their sexual preference when filling out adoption
papers to either eliminate the couple from their agency, or allow birth mothers to

39. Theme Of Punishment By Seamus Heaney
As is evident in several of his works, Seamus Heaney was preoccupied by the
sectarian subject during the period known as the Troubles in Northern Ireland.
However, other preoccupations emanated from it: his need to find his poetic voice
when pressured to speak for his own community; and the etymological study of the
local landscape and its colloquialism. Firstly, this essay will analyse how Heaney
dealt directly with the sectarian subject through three strands; pre Troubles
sectarianism, internal community sectarian punishment and the sectarian murder of
family and friends. Secondly, it will examine the development of his poetic voice in
his attempt to determine his role as a poet. Thirdly, it will also assess Heaney s

The poets voice is one of a voyeur, visualising the past life of a girl who was
punished for adultery. After a description that enlivens the bog body, the poem
culminates with Heaney addressing the paralysing emotional experience of being a
voyeur to such tribal, intimate revenge. Heaney measures his sense of injustice
against a community s brutal intolerance of rules perceived to have been violated. He
illustrates the troubling irony: stone age justice that puts an adulteress to death is not
so far removed from contemporary Northern Irish society that punishes when a
community s sectarian rules are seen to be breached. Parker puts it that conflicting
loyalties, pity and guilt, private and collective, supply Punishment with its emotional
charge.
The Grauballe Man provides a close description of an iconic bog body on display and
reveals Heaney s emotional responses to it. The first half of the poem is a
description of each part of the bog body. Heaney uses dark imagery in conjunction
with distinctly human qualities to give the man a spiritual persistence: the black
river of himself. The poem then speculates on his past life and ends with him
shedding the memories of that past. The idea that man s barbaric treatment of his
fellows is never far away; associated ideas link the fate of Grauballe Man with
contemporary events in Northern

Sociology Analysis over Concrete Angel

Abstract
The lyrics of Concrete Angel has meaning to it. The lyrics focus on child abuse.
Child abuse is a problem that may children all over the world face. Child abuse can be
in the form of verbal and/or physical abuse, bullying, and so on. The lyrics shows
us how the obvious signs of abuse can be seen but bystanders choose to ignore what
is going on. The lyrics of Concrete Angel relates to sociology in many ways. The
lyrics relate to three perspectives of sociology. Those perspectives are conflict,
interactionism, and functionalism. The main focus of this paper is the
characterization portraying the societal issue of child abuse.
Introduction
The song I chose to do my analysis on is Concrete Angel written by Stephanie Kay
Bentley and Rob Crosby and sung by Martina McBride. I felt the song has meaning
and I would be able to analysis it. The message of the song exudes to it listener to
child abuse, or any relating form of abuse. The lyrics talk about how victims of
abuse show obvious signs of physical or mental harm that bystanders choose to
ignore. Concrete Angel is about a little girl who is trapped in a life of turmoil. The
song describes her short innocent life. Her life is lived in vein as neglect and abuse
plagues her. The adults around her seem to be aware of her anguish but like most
people they chose to not get

King Prachao Sua would disguise himself as a commoner and fight in village

of kickboxing with an opulent history is Taekwondo; this form is a fighting style
almost strictly dependent on using the legs to strike your opponent in spinning and
