for our play. This play is about a girl named Marilyn who was ejected from the
Stardust aircraft. Our group selected this play so we could create an exciting,

The Slightly Warmer Equation because of the happy and light storyline that our
play has in comparison to the dark and dreadful storyline of The Cold Equations.

Biases are all around us. We a biased in almost everything we think, say and do
because our implicit attitudes allow us to think a certain way, sometimes without
even noticing. Biases are ways we unfairly respond to others and groups because of
certain stereotypes, prejudices and discriminations. One type of bias that we tend
to express is when we are in a group, we tend to showcase intergroup bias; which
involves how we view the group we re a part of relative to other groups. Intergroup
bias is when unfair responses are delivered toward another group to devalue or

Helen Oyeyemi s novel Boy, Snow, Bird deals with tendentious issues such as abuse,
race, beauty, and mother daughter relationships. Many of these issues are blatantly
illustrated throughout this story between different characters. Often more than one
relationship deals with each of these issues, and most of these relationships deal with
more than one issue at a time. That being said, some of the relationships deal with
their issues and themes in a much more subtle way than others. One relationshipin
particular dealswith issue very subtly, Charlie and Boy s. Charlie and Boy grew up
together in the same town, and he even asked her to prom, wrote to her, toke her to
