2. Maslow s Theory Of Motivation Based On A Holistic Approach
Maslow dealt with the psychological growth process, considered man as a biological organism, and
began his study with the theory of motivation based on a holistic approach. The holistic approach
paints a multidimensional whole picture of a person integrating the physical, mental, and spiritual
through a growth perspective. According to Sengupta (2011), Maslow defines growth as the
continuous development of talents, capacities, creativity, wisdom and character, the various processes,
which bring the person toward ultimate self actualization (p. 102). Maslow did not ignore the spiritual
dimension, but mainly focused on the biological nature of man. He believed the entire person, not just
part of him is motivated. Maslow s motivational theory is based on the idea that human behavior is
controlled through a number of developing fundamental needs that operates in a fixed sequence and
needs are defined as a condition of deficit (Sengupta, 2011, p. 102). Needs are not always caused by
shortfalls, however, they may be founded on an individual s understanding of inner strength and high
ethical standards in order to understand their maximum potential. Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs
pyramid consists of five basic levels of needs, progressing from physiological, safety, social, esteem,
and self actualization. According to Robbins and Judge (2014), physiological and safety needs are
lower levels needs that are predominantly satisfied externally whereas social, esteem, and

3. The Priestly Line Of Malki Tzedek
About the Priestly Line of Malki Tzedek for those that want to learn more.
In Numbers 18 the Most High says, speaking about the priesthood, that it is an eternal covenant with
Aaron and the Levites that these are the duties that he and they have. What s clear here is no one from
the Davidic line in the tribe of Judah could ever bring an incense offering into mikdash ha kodesh(the
holy of holies) in the Temple Lev 16:12 13. There can never be a high priest from the house of David.
The priesthood belongs to Aaron, his sons and the Levites forever.
This next point must be addressed. In the Tanakh(OT) it says David s sons were priests (2 Sam 8:18),
that doesn t mean they were priests of Aaron. The Hebrew word there translated as priests ... Show

David is given the power of defeating his enemies in the manner that Abraham was in Genesis 14.
That power is being passed down to him and now he will defeat his enemies. the Most High does not
break His promises, they are covenants, He s not going to change them. You are a priest forever David
is told, a Kohane, one who has been given an important office. David s children are called priests,
Kohane, that does not mean they are of the lineage of Aaron and will officiate in the Temple
performing priestly duties. It means David s sons hold important offices.
Numbers 18:19 All the gifts of the Kodesh things[offerings], which the children of Israel offer unto
YHWH, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, as an eternal portion; it is an
everlasting covenant of salt before YHWH unto thee and to thy seed with thee.
The Most High says the Priesthood belongs to Aaron and his descendants forever, a salt covenant.
These are eternal covenants, they can not be broken, in fact, the Most High calls it a salt covenant.
Why a salt covenant? Because salt never spoils, it never degrades. Not only doesn t it degrade but it
preserves food, it never changes. The covenant is as permanent as salt. So if someone tells you the
covenant the Most High made with Aaron and his sons, the covenant the Most High made with the
tribe of Levi, the covenant the Most High made with the

6. Argumentative Essay On Tenure In Schools
Tenure in school systems has been a highly controversial topic lately. Tenure refers to the job security
of teachers after they have worked at a certain school for three years. When teachers earn tenure, it is
very difficult to take away their jobs. This is especially true in higher education. According to the
Washington Post, 32 states grant tenure after three years, nine states grant tenure after four or five
years and four states never grant tenure at all. Granting tenure to all teachers gives everybody a job for
life which should not be the case. Under performing teachers should not have definite job security.
America should remove academic tenure, replace it with a different system, and re evaluate school
teachers and professors. Academic tenure has allowed under performing teachers the privilege of
keeping their job no matter what. Some feel that they do not have to properly teach after they have
earned tenure. Students do not get a proper education because of this and teachers cannot be fired
because of the job security that tenure has granted them. Brian ... Show more content on

The best thing I ever decided to do in my life, besides accept Jesus as my savior, is probably the
decision to learn how to play guitar. The guitar has truly changed my life, as well as take all my
money. I have become obsessed with the instrument that has been one of the center pieces of music
history. From blues music in the early 1900s to pop music of today and everywhere in between the
guitar has influenced music almost as much as those singing it. I have been determined to learn as
much about the instrument as I can since I picked up in the 7th grade. I have gone from struggling to
play basic chords on a cheap acoustic guitar to being able to play some of the famous blues licks and
rock and roll hooks that have dominated music for so long. The guitar brings me a certain joy that I
very rarely feel when I am not playing. Hopefully one day I am able to hold my own with the

Self awareness is always a helpful trait to have in any facet of life. Dr. Kahlib Fischer said that the
task of completing the self awareness test is a means of helping you come to terms with ways that God
has gifted and equipped you to serve His purposes in whatever organization He has you in (2006).
Being aware of your own weaknesses and strengths can help you strive to be a better version of your
current self. How, you may ask? For me, I know that time management and attention to detail are
weaknesses. Because I know that, I am aware that I need to pay extra attention to the things that
require these two traits. It has helped me prioritize activities to ensure I get them done correctly and in
a timely manner. I used the Prentice Hall Self Assessment Online Library to learn more about myself

9. Disadvantages Of Automatic Telegraphs
The telegraph was what knocked the electric pen off of its Seaver 5 feet. Automatic telegraphs used
machinery to transmit messages at higher speeds than those sent and received by Morse telegraph
operators. Hand operators averaged 25 40 words per minute while the transmission speeds of
automatic telegraphs ranged from 60 120 words per minute for the ink recording automatic telegraphs
used in England to 500 1000 words per minute for Edison s chemical recording system. However,
even though transmission speeds were much higher with automatic telegraphs, individual messages
took longer to prepare for transmission and delivery. Automatic telegraphs were most economical for
long messages, such as the news reports sent by the Associated Press. The more common short
business and personal messages sent by telegraph were transmitted more economically by hand
operators, because they could send the message from the original form submitted by the customer, and
they translated the Morse code directly into a final message as they received it. Automatic messages
needed to be translated into perforated tape before they could be run through a transmitter, and at the
other end, the message had to transcribed from the recorded Morse code before it could be delivered
to the customer. Edison worked on automatic telegraphs between 1870 and 1874. He first developed
an improved perforator with a keyboard similar to that of a typewriter that operated at about 35 words

long term liabilities that are repaid over a period of time longer than a year. A business needs money to

inspiring life lessons for the current society. The book is genially human and full of sensory
chronicles. Through the key traditions outlined in the book, Nader looks back at his Lebanese
background and childhood experiences that directly shaped his worldview. This review analyses some
of the most significant traditions in the book such as family table, independent thinking, health, and
business. These key traditions will also be vital in discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the
book.
Nader s book has really achieved its principal purpose, which is to educate the society on some of the
values and traditions that are vital in shaping a person s life. Through his key seventeen traditions, the
author has succeeded in creating a modern day fable on how one can grow from a child to a

Silk, although the most traded, was only one of a wide range of goods imported between Eastern and
Western civilizations. Its importance lies not only in the traded merchandise and commodities but also
in its development of new ideas, spread of religions, and exchange of knowledge and culture. The Silk
Road stretched across the lands of Europe and the surrounding seas, connecting various societies,
allowing them to come in contact with other cultures, traditions, and ideas. The Silk Road slowly

traced to the energy (especially fossil oil) crisis and the environment pollution concern in the 1970s.
The green building movement originated from the need and desire for more energy efficient and
environmentally friendly construction practices. There are a number of motives to building green,
including environmental, economic, and social benefits. However, modern sustainability initiatives
call for an integrated and synergistic design to both new construction and in the retrofitting of an
existing structure. Also known as sustainable design, this approach integrates the building life cycle
with each green practice employed with a design purpose to create a synergy amongst the practices
used. Green building brings together a vast array of practices and techniques to reduce and ultimately
eliminate the impacts of buildings on the environment and human health. It often emphasizes taking

Cross Platform Authentication Pairing Codes.
1. Main Factors
Text passwords are nowadays the main way to authenticate users in web environments that require
privacy and security.
There are multiple authentication methods that required the use of a code to grant access to the user to
different kind of private information. This code could be a single letter and combination, or more
advanced authentication methods such biometric authentication.
Nowadays, in the context of having access to multiple websites with sensitive information registered
by the user, the use of passwords as a validation method is the most frequent. Studies have shown that
an average user uses 6.5 passwords, each of which is shared in almost four different websites. Each
user has about 25 accounts on the internet that require passwords, and finally, types an average of
eight passwords per day. (cite_Florencio).
The complexity of the passwords (due security requirements) has been increased, adding elements and
characters to the password composition. Users nowadays are asked to create combinations using a
specific character with a minimum of components to create a valid password. An overwhelming
number of users choose passwords that contain lower case characters only. This behaviour exposes the
combination to be extremely easy to break in a brute force attack. (cite_Adams).

When the little mermaid went to the sea witch to be changed into a human, she told her, How stupid of
you! Still, you shall have your way, and it ll bring you into misfortune, my lovely Princess (Anderson
226). The sea witch had already warned the little mermaid even before she made the potion that it
would not go as she planned. The little mermaid, being young and foolish about love, did what she
believed was right. The tone here spoken by the sea witch gives caution towards the mermaid.
Anderson uses the witch as a way to portray to the reader how it is easy to make mistakes in the matter
of love. This example is given when the witch informs her that, ... and if you don t win the Prince s
love, so that he forgets father and mother for you and always has you in his thoughts and lets the priest
join your hands together to be man and wife, they you won t get an immortal soul (Anderson 226).
The author uses a reproving tone to demonstrate to the reader how the little mermaid is foolish, carried
away in her childish dreams. Anderson characterizes the sea witch in such a way that her dialogues
warn women to be careful when it comes to sacrificing themselves for anyone. The imagery used to
describe how lovely the mermaid is portrays what the prince wanted as a wife. When the prince found
her on the shore and took her in as one of his own people, he took care of and adored her, but he
would not marry her because she could not

The Effects of Falling Gas Prices on Operation Management Decision Making
Dylan Knight
Robert Morris University
Abstract This paper briefly takes a look at how the price of gas has changed over the past ten years
and what has caused the drop in fuel prices within the past few years. It then looks at the fuel price s
effect on business operation through the eyes of the Operations Manager and the key aspects in
decision making that they have to consider when the gas prices fall, like they have recently. I then give
you an idea of how the falling prices effect the Apartment Management industry and the operations
involved in renting and renovating apartments.

The one downfall of the increased production here in the United States is the drilling has slowed down
drastically leaving many oil workers without a job and forcing some companies out of business.
(Krauss) Another cause of the gas prices dropping, according to an article on CNN, is the economic
slowdown of the Chinese economy. They also mentioned the increased production in the United States
and finally the tentative nuclear deal which would make their oil more readily available to our country.
In the article they also predicted that by the time football season came around that tens of thousands of
gas stations across the country will be below the $2 a gallon mark. (Isidore) Even though we have
seen it come close here in Pennsylvania, it has not gone below $2 here in the greater Pittsburgh area. A
few times that I have been home in Ohio I have seen it drop below $2 but it ultimately just depends on
which area you are in. With winter quickly approaching gas prices are expected to continue to drop as
stations mix a less expensive blend of gas for the winter months. (Isidore) So it is a possibility that we
could see prices here in the Pittsburgh area fall to the $2 a gallon area. If I were placed as the
Operations Manager in any industry gas prices play a huge factor in business and

23. Video Game Comparison Essay
As a child, one never thinks twice about a possible hidden meaning when playing a video game.
Playing a video game was simply that, just playing. We are controlling a device to make actions for
the character displayed on a screen. But what if we were not only playing a senseless game, but in
fact, doing something more. At that point, we begin to question whether the video game we have
grown to love was doing something more than entertain us for the time being. We were not only
leveling up to fight the main boss or bad guy in the game, but possibly strengthening ourselves to fight
a figure that symbolizes an actual person or event in a different context. Plenty of games feature
hidden meanings and signs that many glance over without realization. ... Show more content on

that is ruining the planet and the other a world trying to rebuild after being nuked. Final Fantasy VII is

Lewis discusses the difficult topics of atonement and the Christian life within chapters four and five of
Mere Christianity. Lewis maintains his mere Christianity explanation of the topics by not focusing on
the multiple theories, by not diving deeper into explanations that will never be fully adequate for
Earthly beings, and by focusing on what is true across all denominations of Christianity; he focuses on
what is true for mere Christianity. I find his approach to the doctrines of atonement and the Christian
life to be strong. He does not give those who doubt an escape from accepting the truth. Lewis does not
focus on the multiple theories and warns the reader against focusing on the theories and not on what
all Christians agree upon. He states The central Christian belief is that Christ s death has somehow put

Christianity but is unable to explain why. By admitting that he cannot explain why, he is allowing the

Revolutionary Mothers: Women in the Struggle for America s Independence, retells the story of
women s role in establishing a new nation through the words and actions of individual women.
However, not all of these stories end in triumph. Rather, the book highlights the struggles women had
to overcome despite their willingness. Berkin tells the stories through the eyes of the women who
found themselves in the middle of a prolonging conflict. Today, Carol Berkin is a Presidential
Professor at Baruch College and teaches early American and women s history. Revolutionary Mothers
is only one example of the collection of books Berkin has published, including Women of Colonial
America, Odyssey of an American Loyalist, and Civil War Wives: The Life and Times of Angelina
Grimke Weld, Varina Howell Davis, and Julia Dent Grant. Along with these achievements, she also
has been involved with numerous PBS documentaries containing Scottsboro Boys, which was
nominated as the best documentary in 2000 for an Academy Award. Those who are particularly
intrigued by the women involved in American history are ones to whom this book appeals. Her book
attracts the readers who are interested in hearing the American Revolution from the women s
perspective. Also, Berkin separates each chapter into its own group of women affected by war. By
doing so, this makes it easier for readers to comprehend her ideas. Therefore, this book can be targeted

31. The Sniper Short Story Analysis
The Sniper
By: Liam O Flaherty
The Sniper , the author creates suspense by having an increase in pacing, through the words in the
story, decreasing/slowing down is used through words like still, and paused Finally, he creates
suspense by having back to back rapid conflicts, The suspense is created by Liam O Flaherty, who is
the author of this short story suspense.
Throughout this story you re faced with feelings of anticipation, suspense, and you may even appear
to be solicitous. Showing empathy, and being held on the edge of your seat throughout each
captivating paragraph, is common in this particular story.
The first paragraphs you are brought to have a sense of what some view as slow, and/or boring , since
it doesn t have much going on right off of the bat, you start off with a suspenseful introduction, by the
author giving you what is perceived to be as a gloomy/muggy setting. You are brought to a theme with
an increasing pace also included in the first paragraph with a small excerpt of Here and there through
the city, machine guns and rifles broke the silence of the night, spasmodically, like dogs barking on
lone farms. Republicans and Free States were waging civil war. (O Flaherty 1)
Increasing pace is shown and supported throughout this story by the sniper running into suspense and
hardships in an orderly way, which creates a feeling/emotion of what is known to be suspense. We are
able to see what he sees and feel what he has felt. We enter this psychologically thriller by the authors
ability to grab you, and hold you captive in your own mind with his words.
Decreasing pace is developed by the mood being slow and gloomy at times. It slowly yet surely leads
into conflict over and over. For example Placing a cigarette between his lips, he struck a match,
inhaled the smoke hurriedly and put out the light. Almost immediately, a bullet flattened itself against
the parapet of the roof. The sniper took another whiff and put out the cigarette. Then he swore softly
and crawled away to the left. (O Flaherty 1)
Timing in this short story makes this story suspenseful, with the words he uses and where he places
them, he keeps his readers drawn in with the lacking of dull moments. You are

record of the long flight to the destination and a description of the scenarios after landing on the plant.
Discussion of space debris, space hazards, effect of long term space flight will be the main aspects in

landing scenario, atmospheric composition, condition of the planet surface and habitability of the
planet would be discussed in the paper.
The topic that to be presented in this research paper is the effect of long term space flight. A flight that
takes place in space for months or even years certainly has an impact on crew members conditions,
both physically and psychologically. First and foremost, the major difference in the environment
between the space and what the crew members are used to is the degree of gravity. Although in the

would be referred to as swing. According to John Mello, a shuffle note is a practice in which some
notes with equal written time values are performed with unequal durations, usually as alternating long
and short. The tempo of dubstep is almost always in the range of 138 142 beats per minute, with a clap
or snare usually inserted every third beat in a bar. House music is an upbeat and dance oriented style
of music. This concert consisted of non stop dancing and everyone going wild. One big characteristic
of electro house music is that it features a drop in every song or several times in a song. The music
will be playing at a slow or medium speed and then all of the sudden the beat drops into a powerful,

with a gradual build up beat which makes it easier to synch the current song with the next song. The

Intravenous fluids are administered through either a central or peripheral line. A central line is an
intravenous line made of a small flexible tubing used to intravenous medications, blood, or to collect

subcutaneous route. A cuff is placed around the tunneled part of the line securing placement and
helping to prevent infection to the insertion site. Central lines are inserted into large veins in the
central circulation (Caring, 2015). The catheter is threaded into the internal or external jugular vein; it
can also be threaded into the lower third of the vena cava leading to the superior part of the right

not to put it in the genital area (Caring, 2015). Do not let anyone play around or with your central line
because a broken central line can hinder your treatment and cause harm to others. Letting pets and
others near the central line can cause germs to enter the line, and germs can cause a blood stream
infection (Caring, 2015). Make sure to store all supplies and medications out of the reach of children

43. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Treadmills
People around the world are looking for the best treadmill brands that can be used for home.
Treadmills are devices or work out machines that make the user walk while staying at the same place.
Users can also run on these machines as fast as they want to. Treadmills are great machines that can
improve one s stamina and speed. Some people also use these machines to train animals such as dogs
and horses. The treadmill was introduced even before the experts developed the power machine. The
idea of the power machine came from manpower operated mills that used people and animals to make
it run. These mills were operated by animals such as horse, donkeys, and cow that grinded the grain to
make flour out of it.
Now, people are using treadmills as workout machines or exercise machines that would keep them in
shape or increase their power. A treadmill has a platform that is covered with belt that spins around
when the user runs or walks on top of the machine. There are also treadmills ... Show more content on

44. Love To Gamble Poem Analysis
The narrator begins the story entering the tavern at Angel s camp. They begin talking about if Wheeler
remembered a man called Rev. Leonidas, he says he does not remember him and start to talk about a
tale about Jim Smiley. Smiley makes bets with an old horse and an old dog. We learn from the start
that Smiley loves to gamble, but more important perhaps, he likes to bet on animals that don t seem
like they have a good chance of winning, but with money on the table, he ends up winning. Smiley
starts to educate his frog so that it can beat other frogs at jumping. Then he puts the frog on the
market, so to speak, and starts making bets. One day, Smiley bets a stranger forty bucks that his frog
can beat any other frog. The stranger says he doesn t ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When he comes back, he tries to continue his tall tale but the narrator interrupts and says, not quite
good naturedly, that he needs to go. The narrator leaves, thinking his quest was fruitless. I believe that
the major conflict is that Smiley loves to gamble, but more important perhaps, he likes to bet on
animals that don t seem like they have a good chance of winning just to fool and trick people. We can
see many themes in this short story. Examples are cleverness, competition, lies and dishonesty. The
story is in first person point of view. Through a frame narrative, the narrator, clearly an educated man
from the East, presents the story of Jim Smiley, told in Simon Wheeler s uneducated dialect. i. I really
enjoyed reading this piece because although it was written many years ago, it talks truly about things
that continue happening in the present. The author presents many realism in the story, although using
animal to make it more hilarious, the essence of the story was a reality in things and attitude we see in
many people in today s society. In other words the author uses many characteristics we see in our
world like cleverness, competition, lies and dishonesty. I really enjoyed reading this

45. Domestic Partnerships Should be Legal Essay
On June 26, 2015, the US Supreme Court ruled that the US Constitution guarantees the right for same
sex couples to marry. Should gay marriages be legal? Clearly we as a nation are undecided on this
issue. Gay rights groups are fighting for rights while religious groups are fighting against gay
marriage. I do NOT believe it is fair to discriminate against gays for being together. America is a free
country and people should be able to be in a relationship with whomever they desire. Gay marriage is
only legal in a few states. In some of these states, the uniting of two gays is called a civil union or
domestic partnership. I do not think it is right to ruin the holy sacrament of marriage. Although I do
not promote gay ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is clear that one side of the argument is going to be unhappy with any settlement. (A Primer on
Same Sex Marriage, Civil Unions, Domestic Partnerships, and Defense of Marriage Acts)
Gay marriages are highly debated and opposed. In California the opposition to gay marriage enjoyed a
win by having legislators reconsider banning gay marriage. Through rallying and other measurements
the opposition of gay marriage is working to overturn same sex marriage. If legislation is overturned,
it would allow marriage only between a man and a woman. This would also eliminate the right to civil
unions by gays in the state. We must seek a solution to same sex marriage. Same sex marriage will
continue to be an ongoing legal battle. It is important we find a solution that both sides of the
argument agree on or come closest to a compromise between the two sides. (Gay Marriage
Showdowns)
Civil unions are a practical solution to this problem. Civil unions provide a full extension of marital
benefits for gays. Civil unions are only recognized by the states that initiated the process. This means
if a civil union united couple where to travel out of state they are not recognized as a civil union by
that particular state. Civil unions would start a special tradition among gays and leave the tradition of
marriage between man and woman pure. Some states have legislation that is very strict against gay
marriage such as Texas. Strict legislation

46. The Role Celebricities Play in Peoples Life
Today public figures such as celebrities are looked up to by people of all ages. Often viewed as role
models, celebrities appear on television with the entire world watching, and are known for their
wealth, talent and fame. A role model is defined as A person who serves as an example of the values,
attitudes, and behaviors associated with a role. ( Role model. Definition 1. Web). Whether celebrities
enjoy being in the spotlight or not, they are looked up to by millions of people around the world and
thus have a social obligation to behave well. Such role models have an effect on the lives of people in
society as they have the ability to shape the views, ideas, and actions of their fans. It is important for
celebrities to be positive and responsible in displaying good morals and values because many
individuals are dependent on the media role models of today. Because of the large role celebrities play
in society they should be obligated to be positive and influential role models. Many individuals would
argue that in celebrities private lives, they should not have to act as a positive influential role, as they
are out of the spotlight. After all it is their private life, so technically it should be no one s concern
what they do in their free time. However, before people become celebrities, they are aware of the little
to no privacy they are going to receive from the public. This is one of the unfortunate disadvantages of
being famous. With the media and paparazzi on their

smaller classes so a student can find it easier to get help when needed. So it s the most logical solution

48. The Invisible Child By Andrea Elliot
In the Invisible Child written by Andrea Elliot, a lifestyle of a homeless girl named Dasani and her
family is shown. Elliot displays Dasani s culture, and some of the struggles that she and her family
face daily because they are homeless. Dasani is very dedicated to her school work. She wants to be
better than anyone in her family ever was so she doesn t have to worry about being homeless for the
rest of her life. In some ways I can relate to Dasani, I am very passionate about my school work as
well. I want to excel so I can be my very best in the future. However, our reasoning s for wanting to be
the best we can be are a little different. She wants to excel so she no longer has to worry about being
homeless whereas I ve never been homeless so I cannot say the exact same. I grew up being a very
privileged kid. Both of my parents worked full time good paying jobs. I ve never had to want for much
of anything. My parents have always spoiled me with nice things, they have always made sure my
siblings and I had nice clothes and a decent meal to eat. They are even paying for me to attain a
college education. Dasani and her family however are a lot different from mine. In the Invisible Child
Elliot tells us how Dasani s parents do not have legit jobs, instead they have side hustles that only
bring in a few dollars. Elliot states (2013) that a lot of mornings Dasani was starving at school because
she had no breakfast. Dasani and her siblings also had to wear clothes that were

49. Essay On Kampong Glam
Take a Step Back Into Yesterday with The Sultan
The Sultan is far from being an ordinary hotel as it is built entirely based on Singapore s unique and
rich history. From carefully conserving the hotel s structure to be of what it was back in the 1800s to
the design of the hotel that focuses on a specific era, The Sultan gives its guests a little taste of the old
Singapore charm with a modern touch.
History All Around
Situated in one of Singapore s historical sites, Kampong Glam was one of the early major projects
initiated by the British designated for the then Sultan (a Muslim sovereign) and the Muslim
community. Here, they built a palace to house the Sultan, school and also the iconic mosque today
known as the Sultan Mosque. In the 1900s, Kampong Glam saw a rise in commercial activities and
expanded by building new shop houses and residential buildings. Soon, the community got bigger
with the inclusion of the Chinese and Indians.
The Sultan Project
This miniature version of The Sultan shows the top view of the entire hotel. It has an interesting
structure with some parts of the building varying in size. This is because The Sultan is actually made
up of ten conservation shop houses that has been carefully joined to become one big structural wonder.
Each individual shop house has been salvaged and restored to its original state. Kampong Glam ...

50. Zika Virus Papers
The Zika Virus When people think of the word epidemic , they generally imagine a widespread
disease that threatens humanity as a whole. While most of the hysteria associated with pandemics
stem purely from fiction, it can be understandable why people always fear the worst. That is why
when an outbreak of the Zika Virus was reported in the United States, an overall feeling of malaise set
in. As of September 21, 2016, a total of 3,358 cases of the Zika Virus have been reported ( Center for
Disease Control and Prevention ). Though the numbers are alarming, there is no need for a national
quarantine or emergency evacuation. In reality, the Zika Virus is not as intimidating as society puts it
out to be. The panic and confusion associated with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As of now, there is no official vaccine for Zika. Instead, a patient that has the contagion must undergo
certain treatments. Fortunately, the remedies for the virus are simple and cheap. If infection occurs, it
is vital to get an abundance of rest and liquids; medication is also advised to assist in alleviating pain.
The treatments for Zika are straightforward because the disease itself is rather mild. In fact, in most
reported cases of the virus in the United States, the illness only lasted approximately two to seven
days prior to the first set of symptoms ( World Health Organization ). It is evident that the fear
associated with the Zika Virus is slightly exaggerated. Currently, there is only one recorded fatality in
the United States that is directly related to Zika ( The Washington Post ). This is mainly because first
world countries medical programs are advanced enough to effectively treat the virus. The standard of
living in these countries are also higher compared to third world countries. That is why Zika has
claimed a significant amount of lives worldwide; the poor conditions in these countries make it
difficult for infected individuals to get proper

51. Summary Of America s Ice Age
The documentary America s Ice Age presented a lot of information, some of which I already knew.
However, I also learned a lot of new information, and still have questions about some of what I
learned. I learned that nearly two thirds of North America was covered in ice when the largest glaciers
were around, and that these glaciers contained 39 thousand cubic miles of water. I also learned that the
glaciers left chatter marks, grooves in bedrock caused by glacial plucking, on the top of Bear
Mountain, 1280 feet above sea level, which meant that 17 million cubic miles of ice covered North
America, equaling about 68 thousand trillion tons. I also learned that a coral stone quarry was found
six miles from the current coast in Florida, and one mile down from the ... Show more content on

I knew that both lateral and terminal moraines are formed when rocks and sediment are moved by
glaciers, and that these moraines are left on the sides and front of glaciers, respectively. To me, this
suggests that the rocks could only be deposited in lateral moraines, or in the terminal moraines if the
glacier stops, changes directions drastically, or decreases in weight severely. If none of this occurs, the
boulders will continue to be pushed. Therefore, the boulders mark the farthest outreach of one glacier,
as long as no smaller glaciers occurred afterwards. One question that I have is: how long did it take for
the largest glaciers to retreat to approximately the size of our glaciers today, if it ever did? Even
though the movie repeatedly showed an digital animation showing the amount of snow and ice
coverage in North America, the digital animation didn t have any sort of a time scale. This animation
showed that the glaciers covered most of North America, then retreated at some point, and increased
in coverage again. I still am curious about how long it took for each of these transitions to

52. The Problems Involving Water Management And Resources
There are various issues associated with water in South Western United States and specifically
California that aiming to one big issue is really restrictive. For this paper water structures and
infrastructure were selected as a focus point, however it must be stated that it there s interconnection
among other issues such as environment, politics, history and more. Studying the past it is easy to see
how water availability made population explode in an area such as Southern California, where savvy
marketing and great politics made it happen. Particularly, for Los Angeles Marc Reisner s Cadillac
Desert does a great job at understanding and identifying the politics and key figures in getting water to
Los Angeles for the purposes of public narrative. Great hydrologic structure were created using both
man power and water politics. There a connections between water, politics, environment, and
geography when analyzing what the biggest problems involving water management and resources. We
must think of water as both a socio political issue and a natural resource, whose fate is molded by the
understanding of its connectivity to itself, the environment, man made structures, geography, and
society. The classes taken in this program have taught us ideals that in order to become a great water
resources manager, one must master the political and scientific knowledge to make decisions that are
prosperous for society and the environment. Furthermore, one must know the United States
