Manufacturing, service and agriculture are the major economic activities in any country. In India,
manufacturing and services together constitute nearly 75% of the GDP. Moreover, in recent years
the growth in GDP is primarily due to the growth in these sectors of the economy. During the last
ten years, the share of services in the GDP has grown steadily from about 40% to about 51%. The

Function
A customer service strategy not only discusses what you do with customer feedback but how you
will obtain their opinions. Some companies employ surveys, while others feel speaking to clients
one on one may be more effective.
STEPS FOR DEVELOPING A SERVICE STRATEGY
Client focus is almost like a buzz phrase these days. How often do we leave a business
establishment and think, Wow, that was just incredible customer service! ? Or, how often do we
make a call to the customer service hotline and get off the phone thinking, I feel I ve been treated
like a king! ? Chances are, not very often. If the companies not providing WOW customer service,
then they are just providing service and that doesn t set them apart from the competition.
One of the best ways to evolve a culture to one with customer service engrained in it is to
implement a client focused strategy that unites company team to achieve the goal. This is a shift
that is going to take time; however, if they start with the basics and create a customer focused
infrastructure, they on their way to setting themselves apart from the competition.
Step 1: Identification of key programs, products, and services. This isn t about getting out a
company brochure and saying this is what we do. It is far more in depth: Review the output of
your work and who receives, uses or benefits from it. What you ll start to build is your value
proposition. Anyone can sell hardware

Multiple Sclerosis Papers
The immune system of a human body is fascinating and life saving, when functioning properly. An
immune system lacking proper function will consequently lack the ability to protect the human
body. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, immune mediated disease of the central nervous system,
primarily affecting the brainand spinal cord. There are four types, or courses of the multiple
sclerosis disease. The first type is known as relapsing remitting, the second type is primary
progressive, the third type is secondary progressive, and lastly the fourth type is progressive
relapsing. Multiple sclerosis is a disease that lacks a definitive cause or etiology, yet there are
theories that attempt to explain the pathogenesis of the (MS) disease. A... Show more content on

Experts believe that MS stems not from just one factor, but multiple. These factors are
immunologic, environmental, and genetic factors. (Rumrill, 2009, p.76). The most widely accepted
cause of multiple sclerosis is an auto immune response. This auto immune response is caused by
both genetics and environment. Many genes have been studied, including the genes on
chromosome 6p21 in the area of the major histocompatibility complex [MHC; histocompatibility
leukocyte antigen (HLA) in humans], specifically the alleles DR and DQ have shown strong
correlations accounting for 10 60% of the genetic risk of MS. The correlation between these
susceptible genes and autoimmunity is thought to involve their role as antigen presenting
molecules to CD4 T cells. This deregulation in self recognition, which has been shown to be related
to the T cell signaling pathways, can result in epitope spreading and eventual autoimmunity.
(Sternberg, 2012, p.251). An immune system that has a flawed major histocompatibility complex,
(MHC), may lack the ability to differentiate a pathogen from their own healthy normal cells.
Although the auto immune response etiology is most popular, and accepted, there are more. The
location of multiple sclerosis patients has brought about another etiology, the UV sunlight etiology.
Multiple sclerosis patients are not evenly distributed throughout the world; they are located in
certain regions for the majority. The latitude is another etiology of MS; the latitude could explain
the geographic distribution of MS. Multiple sclerosis is found at a drastically lower rate in
equatorial regions. As the latitude increased, so did the incidence of MS. The latitude is directly
related to the degree of exposure to UV sunlight catalyzing the production of vitamin D3 in the skin.
Vitamin D3 is associated with both genetic and immune regulatory factors. Studies have shown that

Argument Analysis Paper Currently, the world is in disagreement over tensions in the Middle East.
A divided country of the Syrian government and rebels has caused horrific acts. Acts that the
president of the United States deemed necessary for military retaliation. That has sparked the
debate on if it was not only justified but ethical to launch tomahawk missiles into war torn parts of
Syria. In an article on the Huffington Post, Dr. Helen Ouyang argues that it was justified and that
military intervention is needed. She uses different forms of arguments to draw comparisons of
Syria to other countries around the world, dissociate the scenario with the past military struggles
and offers many reasons why the benefit will outweigh the cost.... Show more content on

Dr. Ouyang uses many value based arguments and with a morally questionable topic, the strategy
makes sense. In paragraph two, Dr. Ouyang states, This is why to me, the issue in question is not
necessarily whether chemical weapons were used, but what the intentions of Assad s regime is,
what has happened thus far to the innocent, and what is likely to happen in the future. She
acknowledges that there is no question that the Assad regime has used chemical weapons so that is
not what the disagreement should be about. In the following paragraph, she speaks about all of the
arguments against military involvement. She ends the paragraph by stating that despite the reasons
not to be involved, she can t turn [her] back on the 110,000 who have died and the six million more
who have fled their homes. By stating the opposing arguments, labeling them as sound, and refuting
them by stating that her moral obligation is more critical, she is using a value based argument.
Basically, she says that although we see that the military involvement may be similar to past
failures, our moral decision is more serious. Later in the article, she even calls to the use of
abstract values. She claims that we should not use military intervention because of the vast reasons
many Americans think we should such as punishing Assad or to send a message. Instead, she says
that we should do it for the lesser known reason to stop the mass killings and crimes

Importance Of Cerebral Circulation
Cerebral Circulation
A constant flow of blood to the brain is vital to its proper functioning. Blood supplies the brain
with oxygen and to perform maximally the brain requires about 25% of the body s oxygen (Webb,
2016). Lack of oxygen for a prolonged period results in cell death causing irreversible damage to
the brain. Two paired arteries, four total, supply the vital source of blood to the brain and spinal
cord.
Arterial Structures
Blood supply to the brain is divided between the internal carotid arteries (ICA) and the vertebral
arteries. As stated in Cippola s text, the right and left ICA from the bifurcations of the common
carotid arteries and the ICA itself also split in the anterior and middle cerebral arteries. Its primary
function is to supply blood to the cerebrum. The vertebral arteries originate from the subclavian
artery and then join distally to form the basilar artery , (Cipolla, 2009). The basilar artery later
bifurcates into two posterior cerebral arteries , these arteries supply the inferolateral surface of
the temporal lobe and the lateral and medial surfaces of the occipital lobe, (Webb, 2016). While
the ICA mainly provides blood to the cerebrum, the vertebral arteries are the primary supply to
brain stem and cerebellum. The ICA and the vertebral arteries join together to form what is known
as the Circle of Willis.
Circle of Willis
The Circle of Willis is also known as the circulus arteriosus. It is a structure that is formed by the
joining of the two

Gerald Ford Biography
Following his defeat in the 1976 presidential election, Gerald Ford retired to Rancho Mirage,
California. Thereafter, Ford appeared frequently in public as a speaker, lecturing for private
audiences and on university campuses. In his post presidential years, Ford wrote a number of
books, including an account of his presidency, A Time to Heal (1979), and Humor and the
Presidency (1987). Always very athletic, Ford continued to enjoy the game of golf.
However, Ford s exit from Washington did not immediately end his political ambitions. He
surprised most observers when he entered into discussions with Ronald Reagan in 1980 about
running on the Republican ticket with the former governor of California. However, Ford took
the offer to the media (specifically to CBS anchor Walter Cronkite in a convention interview);
feeling betrayed, an angry Reagan withdrew the offer, which ultimately went to George H.W.
Bush. During the 1980s and 1990s, Ford emerged as an elder statesman in the Republican Party.
Likewise, Ford wrote extensively on domestic and foreign policy issues of the day. He also
served on a number of corporate boards and commissions, including a stint as co chair of The
National Commission on Federal Election Reform in 2001. ... Show more content on

Changing Perspective From Global Warming

Dr. Christopher Carney ENGL 1301

Changing Perspective from Global Warming to Climate Change Global warming is one of the
biggest problems facing the world today. Global warming is the rise in the earth s mean surface
temperature due to increase of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, which affects life forms on
the earth s surface. The scientific consensus as summarized by the Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change (IPCC) is that the global average surface temperature has risen over the last
century. Many scientists believe that global warming is caused mainly by the production of carbon
dioxide (greenhouse gas) and any fabricated pollution without taking into account the natural
factors. The earth is kept warm due to what is known as the greenhouse effect. Without it the
earth would be frozen; the short wave length of ultraviolet radiation coming from the sun
penetrates the atmosphere and is absorbed by the earth, which thereby warms the earth. These
gases are known as greenhouse gases. The effects of global warming include increased
temperature, rise in sea levels, increase in insects that spread disease and tropical storms. A
greenhouse gas does not cause these effects. The Great Global Warming Swindle documentary
shows a group of scientists through scientific research that carbon dioxide is not responsible for
global warming. They believe the real cause of global warming is the sun. Global warming is
caused by the sun

using large amounts of labour and capital. Large amount of labour includes Fertilizer, insecticides,

GMOs (genetically modified organisms) are organism that had specific changes in their DNA
using the method of genetic engineering. GMOs are applied on livestock, poultry and plant
seeds. However GMO seeds are highly commercialized in modern industrial agriculture because
it prevents from rotten farms and uses fewer pesticides. But in the bad point this genetic
engineering reduces the ability of seeds to grow again, therefor framers will have to buy new
seeds every time they farm. This resulted in big profit for seed selling companies. Since then GM
foods are widely spread in United States and is still spreading in third world. This negative new
science also creates unstable combinations of plants, animals, bacterial and viral gene, damaging
our natural system. It also concerns that GMOs can easily increase our toxic load, leading even

Intern At A Rose Garden Florist
This summer I had the opportunity to intern at A Rose Garden Florist. With this internship I had
goals set in mind that I wanted to accomplish; these goals consisted of being able to identify
plants when I see them, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of a garden, the different care needs
for plants, ways to preserve plants, and for growing them. Digging a hole, putting a seedinto it then
refilling the dirt and watering it was the only way I thought you could grow something. This
summer I found out that you can in fact place seeds between two wet paper towels and they will
start to sprout and once they have you can plantthem into the ground and they will continue to
grow. I feel this is a much better way to start out plants because you have it started before you put
them into the ground and can have an idea of how many will fully grow. However, in order for
them to be able to grow in the area in which you plant them there should be no weeds to choke
them out; this is where being able to tell a difference in plants can come in rather handy. While
weeding out a garden it is important to know the difference between the weeds and new sprouts
of plants you put in a couple weeks before. It is also very beneficial to pull the weeds out as close
to their roots as possible so that they will not reappear; if you only pull off what you see above
ground you will have a weed problem indefinitely and your plants could struggle greatly while
trying to thrive due to the weeds

Mence of Dengue
Menace of Dengue
Dengue is an arbovirus disease caused by any one of four closely related viruses that do not
provide cross protective immunity; a person can be infected as many as four times, once with each
serotype. Dengue viruses are transmitted from person to person by the Aedes aegypti mosquito in
the domestic environment. Periodic epidemics have occurred in the Western Hemisphere for over
200 years. In the past 20 years, however, dengue transmission and frequency of epidemics have
increased greatly in most tropical countries of the American, African and Asian region. As this has
occurred, dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) has emerged and produced epidemics in many countries
of the region.

Reasons:
The transmission of the virus to mosquitoes must be interrupted to prevent the illness. To this end,
patients are kept under mosquito netting until the second bout of fever is over and they are no
longer contagious.
The prevention of dengue requires control or eradication of the mosquitoes carrying the virus that
causes dengue. In nations plagued by dengue fever, people are urged to empty stagnant water from
old tires, trash cans, and flower pots. Governmental initiatives to decrease mosquitoes also help to
keep the disease in check but have been poorly effective.
To prevent mosquito bites, wear long pants and long sleeves. For personal protection, use
mosquito repellant sprays that contain DEET when visiting places where dengue is endemic.
There are no specific risk factors for contracting dengue fever, except living in or traveling to an
area where the mosquitoes and virus are endemic. Limiting exposure to mosquitoes by avoiding
standing water and staying indoors two hours after sunrise and before sunset will help. The Aedes
aegypti mosquito is a daytime biter with peak periods of biting around sunrise and sunset. It may
bite at any time of the day and is often hidden inside homes or other dwellings, especially in urban
areas.
There is currently no vaccination available for dengue fever. There is a vaccine undergoing clinical
trials, but it is too early to tell if it will be safe or effective. Early results of clinical

helped led the way of reformation in the slums of New York. His research opened the eyes of

Most contracts never mentioned the safety and comfort of tenants (p. 10). In addition, many of
the tenants were working and needed to be close to where they worked. The costs of living in
these tenement houses were ridiculously high for the condition and size of the rooms. Riis
described how some Italians were given board as long as the Italian made enough ash barrels to
feed him, which unfortunately caused many Italians to get use to free rent and thus many were
driven to another dump. Riis did not care much for the Italians, because of their lack of focus
and life style. One of the well known tenement housing the Bend was labeled as one of the bad
tenement houses, and even the optimists agreed. It was said that the more you had done the less it
has seemed to accomplish in the way of real relief (p 46). Also under the pressure of the growing

cut from six hundred to four hundred cubic feet. With such increase in population in certain

of overcrowding and of health regulations had gotten too far out of reach for us to help them. I had

Daniel O Connell s Speech Analysis
This text is a political speech that Daniel O`Connell, one of the fathers of the Irish Republic, gave
at the House of Commons in London in 1836. The aim of O Connell s speech was to get equal
justice for the Irish people as members of the British Crown, and in the same way that by that time
the Scottish, English and Welsh people already had. The majority of the Parliament s members
were protestant and reluctant to give Irish Catholics more rights than they already had.
As the time O`Connell spoke to the Parliament about the equal justice, he had already become a
member of this chamber several years ago and was successful in getting more reforms for the Irish
cause. Ireland had a parliament since the year 1297 but the British crown abolished ... Show more

He tries it using different verbs like ...will you, can you, refuse you... and trying to reach them in
their quality as well educated and wise men. He mentions the year 1825 in which the Irish people
also tried to get from the Treasury Bench emancipation and they did not get it. But he appeals
emotionally to them affirming that ...I am the living representative of those hopes... of reform.
O Connell s more emotional tone of the last paragraph means to show the Parliament his love for
his country Ireland and its unjust situation. He personifies his country by seeing himself as its
friend, servant, stave ... and also as the voice of its sentiments, but above all as the voice of all the
Irish people. Once again he repeats what he wants, justice: ... I ask you only for justice . ... .
He never leaves an amiable tone during the whole speech and does not care about the taunts as
Irishman and Papist that he can get from the members of the House. He ends but the speech very
firmly and once again with the aim to get equal justice, with the words ... I demand, I respectfully
insist: on equal justice for Ireland, on the same principle by it has been administrated to Scotland
and England. I will not take less. Refuse me that if you can

Bergeron is a valuable story that has underlying themes, which are very relevant in our current

He says, ...for example youths are seen as a constant problem throughout the film. This reflecting
the opinion of the British public. They are reflected as a negative in this film, seen wearing
tracksuits, hoodies, and suspect to graffiti. These are to an extent true representation of youths in
Britain. More social context is being used during the film with the supermarket being build. The
town is small and seems to be very home grown and for there to be a Somerfield there is unusual

issues of Britain at the time. There is a distinct gap between the generations of the film. The
Neighborhood Watch Alliance thinks the biggest issue in the film is the youth loitering; not their
own murders. This is a sometimes hidden joke because the watch shares its initials with the
N.W.A rap group. That group tries to appeal to the younger generation whereas the film s N.W.A
does not. The watch would also rather get the youth drunk, illegally, in a pub rather than let them
roam the streets. During the 2000 s in Britain, the youth was being seen more and more as a
nuisance to the older generations. The children, though, help to foil the plan of the older generation
making them seem a little like the Mystery Inc. from Scooby doo. While the children did break

How Does Marjane Use Forgiveness In Persepolis
Persepolis Essay #1 Marjane Satrapi is a girl who lives in a country ruled by a man not loved by
the people. It is a place where many struggles happen and where she is forced to grow up and
understand the things happening around her. The author of this book conveys the theme of
forgiveness through internal conflict and her use of comics and images in the Persepolis novel. In
the beginning of the novel, Marjane has her life turned around when the shah of her country, Iran,
started passing many rules and regulations, which the people did not like. As a result, the people
started to protest in the streets and many would get hurt or worse trying voice their beliefs. An
example of how this led to Marjane believing the wrong things about people from what she heard

At least for now, Marjane is being taught to see things in a new light and this will help her in the
way the her mother intends. On the other hand, while Marjane s mother struggles to correctly
teach her 10 year old daughter how to forgive, she and her husband still participate in the
demonstrations taking place around their town instead of setting a better example for their
daughter. In a way, while Marjane s mother tries to teach her one thing, her actions and the things
she says with her father and the outside world may teach Marjane otherwise. They both talk about
the injustice of the regime in their country freely and openly in front of Marjane without even
thinking about the way they could be sending mixed messages to their daughter. An example of
how this has affected Marjane is the way her mother reacts when they find someone close to them

they were tortured and how their other cell mate, a member of the guerillas, was also executed

The Gross Profit Margin Ratio
The Gross profit margin ratio is a measure of profitability concerned with the effectiveness of
generating profit. It represent the relation between the gross profit and the sales revenue generate
in the same period (McLaney and Atrill, 2012). The higher of this ratio is better for the company.
The DixonsВґ gross profit marginis virtually the same in both years, 2013 is 7,32% and 2014 is
7,47%. However, it is too low to compare with the industry average ratio(15%). It should be as a
consequence of the high cost of sales. Reducing the cost of the goods sold is an immediately
measure that the company must implemented. Additionally, increasing the price of the product
should be another alternative. These changes will reflect positively in the profitof the year leading
to a higher gross profit margin.
The current ratio is a measure of liquidity, which is concerned with the ability of the company to
meet its short term financial obligations. It relates the current assets and the current liabilities of a
business the higher the ratio means that the business have more liquidity and quickly response to
financial obligations, however is not recommended to be too high (McLaney and Atrill, 2012). The
DixonsВґ current ratios in both year are significantly lower than the industry average which is

The appearance of Dover Beach at this time is only of what the human senses can envision. The
speakers looks beneath the surface of Dover Beach and unveils the true nature of the sea. When
Arnold stops to really listen to the sea, he only hears the sea s melancholy, long, withdrawing roar.
(9). Arnold justifies the theory that things are not always what they appear to be. The world only
seems to be beautiful, but is really a place of conflict, chaos and dangerous misunderstandings.
Imagery is the strongest supporter of the theme. A description of the sea in its states of calmness
and roughness are depicted. Sight and sound help intensify other images. The poems strongest
feelings are usually expressed by their imagery, though rhythm is also used to convey meaning.
Arnold uses the first stanza of the poem to create visual, auditory, and olfactory images that will
allow the reader to picture the sea of which the speaker is viewing. Through the use of several
poetic Figures of speech, sounds, and irony of words are also used. Line one; The Sea is calm

this description one can imagine a beautiful beach with water lapping upon the shore. The second
line also gives the image of a calm sea. In the opening stanzas words such as gleams (4) and

The Importance of itrogen in the Growth and Development of...
Nitrogen is the most important nutrient required for growth and development of plants. Earth s
atmosphere contains about 78% nitrogen gas but majority of this remains unavailable to the plants.
An important feature of our planet ecosystem is the nitrogen cycle, by which nitrogen is converted
into different several other forms. The process of conversion involves both biological and non
biological processes. Nitrogencycle consists of nitrogen fixation, assimilation, mineralization,
nitrification and denitrification (Postgate 1998). The process of conversion of molecular nitrogen
to ammoniais known as nitrogen fixation.
Biological nitrogen fixation is the mechanism of reduction of atmospheric nitrogen to a
metabolically active form exclusively by microorganisms. Biological nitrogen fixation (BNF)
involves the enzymatic reduction of N2 to ammonia (NH3 ). Conversion of N2 to ammonia is
catalyzed by a metalloenzyme called nitrogenase. Reaction has a high activation energy because
molecular N2 is an unreactive gas with a triple bond between the two N2 atoms. Therefore, N2
reduction requires at least 8 electrons and 16 ATP moles, 4 ATPs per pair of electrons.
N2 + 8H+ + 8eВЇ + 16 ATP = 2NH3 + H2 + 16 ADP + 16 P
Three genetically distinct nitrogenase systems have been found in diazotrophs, namely Nif, Vnf
and Anf in which the active site central metals are Mo, V, and Fe, respectively (Zhao et al 2006).
The enzyme contains two components that are named according to their metal

This systematic review utilized three medical databases such as ProQuest Medical, PubMmed, and

and mobility in children with cerebral palsy.
Chang, Kwon, Lee, and Kim (2012) conducted a pilot study containing 33 children ages four and

Deviance Has Changed Over Time Essay
This essay will consider whether or not the ideas of deviance have changed over time and if
deviance has changed over time whether it is reflected in the law, a common mistake made by a
lot of people is that all deviant acts are criminal this is not the case. All criminal acts are deviant
but not all deviant acts are criminal. Deviance is a behaviour of a person that differs from the
social normality of society (TheFreeDictionary.com, 2003 2015) this can be as simple as
antisocial behaviour such as smoking, or it can be a criminal act such as arson. There are two
parts of deviance first there is Primary deviance which includes a variety of social groups it doesn
t have many consequences concerning social roles. Then there is secondary deviance which is
deviant behaviour based upon primary deviant, this becomes peoples mean of protection or attack
against society. (Newburn, 2013 2nd ed)... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Temporal Lobe Amnesia Case Study
According to Pinel (2013), medial temporal lobe amnesia is amnesia or loss of memory that is
associated with bilateral damage to the medial temporal lobes (p.478). H.M. s case was
revolutionary to the study of human memory. Prior to H.M. s surgery, it was shown that the
removal of one medial temporal lobe was effective treatment for patients with a unilateral
temporal lobe focus. H.M. suffered from on average one generalized seizure per week and many
partial seizures per day (Pinel, 2013, p.260). Anticonvulsant medication s proved to be
ineffective for the treatment of H.M. s seizures (Pinel, 2013). H.M. s doctors ran tests including
an electroencephalography or EEG, in which they proposed that the H.M. s convulsions
originated from the center of the medial portions of both his left and right temporal lobes (Pinel,
2013, p.260). His doctors believes that since the removal of one medial temporal lobe was
effective treatment for patients like H.M., he would benefit from removal of both medial portions
of both temporal lobes (Pinel, 2013). H.M. s surgery proved to be effective for stopping his

Boxing Should Not be Banned In recent years, there have been many campaigns to try and have

All boxers obviously believe that the benefits of the ancient sport outweigh its negative side. This
is shown in their enthusiasm to take potentially high risks in order to gain the rewards of winning.
Like all sports, there is an element of danger involved however we have the freedom to decide
whether or not to take part in it.
One of the main arguments for boxing being banned is that serious medical injury can result
from boxing due to continuous blows to the head. In boxing when the head is knocked
sideways, the brain swirls in the skull, its layers shearing and sliding off one another, tearing
vital nerve fibres . Statistics show that 15 20% of boxers ending a professional career develop
the punch drunk syndrome . This syndrome consists of the brain weakening, loss of memory,
slowed speech and difficulty in walking. Also boxing can effect the time of death. A
professional boxer dies around 10 15 years earlier than the average life expectancy. People argue
that a sport, which can result in players suffering from brain damage and cerebral ischemia ( a
disruption of blood supply to an area of the brain ) should be banned straight away because of the
life threatening risks involved
However, Dr Nigel Warburton, a lecturer in philosophy for the Open University, claims that the

To What Extent Can Urban Areas Be Sustainable
Urban sustainability is the idea that an urban area can be organised without excessive reliance on

Curitiba recycles 2/3 of its household waste this figure is one of the highest in the world. The
recycling plants are made up of recycled material and employ people who find it hard to get jobs
for example immigrants and disabled people, this makes the employees feel valued and it helps to
improve the lives.
Colour co ordinating teams collect the waste that has been separated in inorganic and organic
waste. It is then sorted and sent out to other recycling plants to process. Cans are recycled at the
fraction of the cost of producing new ones. There are also special teams, which go out and collect
very large items, which would be too difficult and possibly expensive for someone to try and

The green exchange was introduced in Curitiba in 1990, this scheme was to encourage the poor
to recycle their waste in return for food produce or bus transport tickets. This has proved to be a

The Benefits Of Multicultural Competency
Multicultural competency is the awareness and unification of people of diverse

Piaget s theories included Sensorimotor, Preoperational, Concrete operational, and Formal
operational. Ford and Lernal presented the Developmental systems theory. Freud theorized five
psychosexual stages, these stages included oral, anal, phallic, latency, and genital.
Bronfrenbrenner presented the Ecological model. Erickson expanded his theories on the stages
of Psychosocial development. Erickson s has a model that consist of eight stages and is broken
down by age. Erickson s wife later added a ninth stage to his model. Stage one dealt with oral
sensory, the age group on this stage was birth to one year old. His second stage was muscular anal
stage, the age impacted in this stage was two three year old s. The third is locomotor genital stage,
the age group is between four and five. Industry... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This stage describes that it affects individuals in the age span of nineteen forty years old. In my
personal experience, I developed a close relationship at age fifteen. Therefore, I believe this
stage somewhat relates to stage five because I ve witness many of the items described on stage
six during the age span of thirteen eighteen and I am currently twenty three years old. Stage
eight Ego Integrity vs. Despair impacts the age span of sixty five years old until death. I was
glad to hear that Erickson s wife added another stage because I happen to believe individuals do
live longer and experience more development factors before death. In my own experience, I
believe that what individuals experience during this stage depends on their current maturity. One
may not be ready for this stage or one may experience this stage at an earlier

The Construction Of The Parthenon In Athens, Greece
The Parthenon is located in Athens,Greece. It was constructed approximately in 447 BC and
completed around 432 BC as a temple dedicated to the Goddess Athena., which the original one
was destroyed in Persian Invasion of 480 BC. The Parthenon was used primarily as a treasury. In
the sixth century AD, it was converted into a Christian church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
During the Ottoman conquest it became a Mosque which was around 1460 s. The Parthenonwas
partially destroyed in 1687.
The architects were Iktinos and Kallikrates with a mention of Vitruv and dedicated to the Goddess
Athena Pallas or Parthenos (virgin). It s main function was to house the statues of Athena which
were made of gold and ivory by Phedias. The inner chamber was unusually large so it could house
the oversized statue of Athena. The greater width and length of the Parthenon features double
decked columns instead of walls. The back room sheltered Athena s treasure. ... Show more content

the temples of Greece were designed to be seen from the outside. When one moves toward the east
and then looking at the exterior of the temple visitors would be mesmerized by the beauty of the
Parthenon. It was a scene that Athenians could relate to, thus making the transition between the
earth and the divine one. It is certain that the master architech s came up with the design of the
Parthenon to be thought of as a theatrical event. They wanted man to be in awe. Reading about all
the purposes of each decision that was made in the building made realize the creativity of the
Greek culture.Knowing that every column was placed with purpose to draw your eye in a certain
line, the direction it set was intentional so as to allow the sun to shine through the temple to make
one believe they were beholding the awesome power of their

Deforestation Is A Global Issue
The long term removal of tree cover, deforestation, is a global issue that can be catastrophic if
not resolved and is one of the most urgent of issues. Deforestation is a global issue, not only
because it happens all around the world, in multiple countries but also because its causes are
produced by globally drive motives. Politically, Socially and Environmentally, deforestation is a
global issue that delves deeply in almost all aspects of organism life. This essay will explore into
the intricacy of the global issue of deforestation and its surface and root causes. Although
deforestation occurs mostly in tropical rainforests, which are primarily in developing countries,
this does not equate it to national problems, instead it is an issue, which through the rise of
economic globalization, means that the global population are bearing down on the forests as
well. The surface issues are agricultural expansion and infrastructure expansion, with deeper root
causes, which fall under the political and social scope. These underlying causes are fundamental
forces that underpin the more obvious or proximate causes of deforestation (Geist, Lambin, 2001,
pg.8) This essay will draw from academic sources and will elaborate on author s theories and
opinions on the topic of the causes of deforestation. By doing this, a mixture of neo liberal, liberal
and emancipatory social action approaches will be taken to be able to fully understand the surface
and underlying causes of deforestation.

Textual Analysis Of Komgi
Given Komugi s character design and overall purpose in the anime in addition to the mental and
language representations addressed previously, Komugi has many connotations placed upon her.
Her character continues to reinforce that unusual embodiments are inherently inferior (Garland
Thomson, 7), because both herself and the ways others treat her continue to emphasize that she is
not worth much of anything aside from her Gungi skills. However, Komugi is also a significant
source for intersectionality. Utilizing feminist theory, individuals can see that she is already
depicted as weaker, which could be assumed that this is done because she is portrayed as female.
Then, in addition to this, she is weakened even more by her disability. This follows... Show more

Komugi comes across as a character that is not someone that many would relate to. Often times,
even if there is a disabled individual portrayed in media they are often they are written not as
someone to relate to, but to represent some other, necessary plot element. Because of this, disabled
individuals are portrayed As either less or more than human [...] blessed or damned, but never quite
human (Sandell et al., 5 6). In doing so, individuals who view these medias can successfully
remove themselves from these disability

Historical Declaration Analysis
My reactions to the historic declaration were mixed. On the one hand, I felt that the historic
declaration was reasonable and essential. The Declaration endows the indigenous peoples with
basic human rights as other people. It ends suffering of indigenous peoples and justifies their rights
to self determination, identity, ownership of land, culture, and many other issues. I am happy for
indigenous peoples and grateful for the United Nations efforts. On the other hand, I felt sorry for
our behaviors and words. Indigenous peoples are the same with other peoples, such as Americans,
Canadians, and Australians. However, they have been discriminated and unfairly treated for a long
time and the discrimination still exists after the Declaration was

An immune system lacking proper function will consequently lack the ability to protect the human body. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, immune mediated disease of the central nervous system, primarily affecting the brainand spinal cord. There are four types, or courses of the multiple sclerosis disease. The first type is known as relapsing remitting, the second type is primary progressive, the third type is secondary progressive, and lastly the fourth type is progressive relapsing. Multiple sclerosis is a disease that lacks a definitive cause or etiology, yet there are theories that attempt to explain the pathogenesis of the (MS) disease. A... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Experts believe that MS stems not from just one factor, but multiple. These factors are immunologic, environmental, and genetic factors. (Rumrill, 2009, p.76). The most widely accepted cause of multiple sclerosis is an auto immune response. This auto immune response is caused by both genetics and environment. Many genes have been studied, including the genes on chromosome 6p21 in the area of the major histocompatibility complex [MHC; histocompatibility leukocyte antigen (HLA) in humans], specifically the alleles DR and DQ have shown strong correlations accounting for 10 60% of the genetic risk of MS. The correlation between these susceptible genes and autoimmunity is thought to involve their role as antigen presenting molecules to CD4 T cells. This deregulation in self recognition, which has been shown to be related to the T cell signaling pathways, can result in epitope spreading and eventual autoimmunity. (Sternberg, 2012, p.251). An immune system that has a flawed major histocompatibility complex, (MHC), may lack the ability to differentiate a pathogen from their own healthy normal cells. Although the auto immune response etiology is most popular, and accepted, there are more. The location of multiple sclerosis patients has brought about another etiology, the UV sunlight etiology. Multiple sclerosis patients are not evenly distributed throughout the world; they are located in certain regions for the majority. The latitude is another etiology of MS; the latitude could explain the geographic distribution of MS. Multiple sclerosis is found at a drastically lower rate in equatorial regions. As the latitude increased, so did the incidence of MS. The latitude is directly related to the degree of exposure to UV sunlight catalyzing the production of vitamin D3 in the skin. Vitamin D3 is associated with both genetic and immune regulatory factors. Studies have shown that a deficiency in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A divided country of the Syrian government and rebels has caused horrific acts. Acts that the president of the United States deemed necessary for military retaliation. That has sparked the debate on if it was not only justified but ethical to launch tomahawk missiles into war torn parts of Syria. In an article on the Huffington Post, Dr. Helen Ouyang argues that it was justified and that military intervention is needed. She uses different forms of arguments to draw comparisons of Syria to other countries around the world, dissociate the scenario with the past military struggles and offers many reasons why the benefit will outweigh the cost.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Dr. Ouyang uses many value based arguments and with a morally questionable topic, the strategy makes sense. In paragraph two, Dr. Ouyang states, This is why to me, the issue in question is not necessarily whether chemical weapons were used, but what the intentions of Assad s regime is, what has happened thus far to the innocent, and what is likely to happen in the future. She acknowledges that there is no question that the Assad regime has used chemical weapons so that is not what the disagreement should be about. In the following paragraph, she speaks about all of the arguments against military involvement. She ends the paragraph by stating that despite the reasons not to be involved, she can t turn [her] back on the 110,000 who have died and the six million more who have fled their homes. By stating the opposing arguments, labeling them as sound, and refuting them by stating that her moral obligation is more critical, she is using a value based argument. Basically, she says that although we see that the military involvement may be similar to past failures, our moral decision is more serious. Later in the article, she even calls to the use of abstract values. She claims that we should not use military intervention because of the vast reasons many Americans think we should such as punishing Assad or to send a message. Instead, she says that we should do it for the lesser known reason to stop the mass killings and crimes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Importance Of Cerebral Circulation Cerebral Circulation A constant flow of blood to the brain is vital to its proper functioning. Blood supplies the brain with oxygen and to perform maximally the brain requires about 25% of the body s oxygen (Webb, 2016). Lack of oxygen for a prolonged period results in cell death causing irreversible damage to the brain. Two paired arteries, four total, supply the vital source of blood to the brain and spinal cord. Arterial Structures Blood supply to the brain is divided between the internal carotid arteries (ICA) and the vertebral arteries. As stated in Cippola s text, the right and left ICA from the bifurcations of the common carotid arteries and the ICA itself also split in the anterior and middle cerebral arteries. Its primary function is to supply blood to the cerebrum. The vertebral arteries originate from the subclavian artery and then join distally to form the basilar artery , (Cipolla, 2009). The basilar artery later bifurcates into two posterior cerebral arteries , these arteries supply the inferolateral surface of the temporal lobe and the lateral and medial surfaces of the occipital lobe, (Webb, 2016). While the ICA mainly provides blood to the cerebrum, the vertebral arteries are the primary supply to brain stem and cerebellum. The ICA and the vertebral arteries join together to form what is known as the Circle of Willis. Circle of Willis The Circle of Willis is also known as the circulus arteriosus. Changing Perspective From Global Warming Offor 1 Chiamaka Offor Dr. Christopher Carney ENGL 1301 20 June 2016 Changing Perspective from Global Warming to Climate Change Global warming is one of the biggest problems facing the world today. Global warming is the rise in the earth s mean surface temperature due to increase of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, which affects life forms on the earth s surface. The scientific consensus as summarized by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is that the global average surface temperature has risen over the last century. Many scientists believe that global warming is caused mainly by the production of carbon dioxide (greenhouse gas) and any fabricated pollution without taking into account the natural factors. The earth is kept warm due to what is known as the greenhouse effect. Without it the earth would be frozen; the short wave length of ultraviolet radiation coming from the sun penetrates the atmosphere and is absorbed by the earth, which thereby warms the earth. These gases are known as greenhouse gases. The effects of global warming include increased temperature, rise in sea levels, increase in insects that spread disease and tropical storms. A greenhouse gas does not cause these effects. The Great Global Warming Swindle documentary shows a group of scientists through scientific research that carbon dioxide is not responsible for global warming. With this internship I had goals set in mind that I wanted to accomplish; these goals consisted of being able to identify plants when I see them, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of a garden, the different care needs for plants, ways to preserve plants, and for growing them. Digging a hole, putting a seedinto it then refilling the dirt and watering it was the only way I thought you could grow something. This summer I found out that you can in fact place seeds between two wet paper towels and they will start to sprout and once they have you can plantthem into the ground and they will continue to grow. I feel this is a much better way to start out plants because you have it started before you put them into the ground and can have an idea of how many will fully grow. However, in order for them to be able to grow in the area in which you plant them there should be no weeds to choke them out; this is where being able to tell a difference in plants can come in rather handy. While weeding out a garden it is important to know the difference between the weeds and new sprouts of plants you put in a couple weeks before. It is also very beneficial to pull the weeds out as close to their roots as possible so that they will not reappear; if you only pull off what you see above ground you will have a weed problem indefinitely and your plants could struggle greatly while trying to thrive due to the weeds ... The town is small and seems to be very home grown and for there to be a Somerfield there is unusual and was also occurring around Britain at the time, (Knapp). This film is reflecting on the deeper issues of Britain at the time. There is a distinct gap between the generations of the film. The Neighborhood Watch Alliance thinks the biggest issue in the film is the youth loitering; not their own murders. This is a sometimes hidden joke because the watch shares its initials with the N.W.A rap group. That group tries to appeal to the younger generation whereas the film s N.W.A does not. The watch would also rather get the youth drunk, illegally, in a pub rather than let them roam the streets. During the 2000 s in Britain, the youth was being seen more and more as a nuisance to the older generations. The children, though, help to foil the plan of the older generation making them seem a little like the Mystery Inc. from Scooby doo. While the children did break minor laws, they ... It is a place where many struggles happen and where she is forced to grow up and understand the things happening around her. The author of this book conveys the theme of forgiveness through internal conflict and her use of comics and images in the Persepolis novel. In the beginning of the novel, Marjane has her life turned around when the shah of her country, Iran, started passing many rules and regulations, which the people did not like. As a result, the people started to protest in the streets and many would get hurt or worse trying voice their beliefs. In a way, while Marjane s mother tries to teach her one thing, her actions and the things she says with her father and the outside world may teach Marjane otherwise. They both talk about the injustice of the regime in their country freely and openly in front of Marjane without even thinking about the way they could be sending mixed messages to their daughter. The DixonsВґ gross profit marginis virtually the same in both years, 2013 is 7,32% and 2014 is 7,47%. However, it is too low to compare with the industry average ratio(15%). It should be as a consequence of the high cost of sales. Reducing the cost of the goods sold is an immediately measure that the company must implemented. Additionally, increasing the price of the product should be another alternative. These changes will reflect positively in the profitof the year leading to a higher gross profit margin. • 27. The Importance of itrogen in the Growth and Development of... Nitrogen is the most important nutrient required for growth and development of plants. Earth s atmosphere contains about 78% nitrogen gas but majority of this remains unavailable to the plants. An important feature of our planet ecosystem is the nitrogen cycle, by which nitrogen is converted into different several other forms. The process of conversion involves both biological and non biological processes. Nitrogencycle consists of nitrogen fixation, assimilation, mineralization, nitrification and denitrification (Postgate 1998). The process of conversion of molecular nitrogen to ammoniais known as nitrogen fixation. Biological nitrogen fixation is the mechanism of reduction of atmospheric nitrogen to a metabolically active form exclusively by microorganisms. Biological nitrogen fixation (BNF) involves the enzymatic reduction of N2 to ammonia (NH3 ). Conversion of N2 to ammonia is catalyzed by a metalloenzyme called nitrogenase. Reaction has a high activation energy because molecular N2 is an unreactive gas with a triple bond between the two N2 atoms. Therefore, N2 reduction requires at least 8 electrons and 16 ATP moles, 4 ATPs per pair of electrons. N2 + 8H+ + 8eВЇ + 16 ATP = 2NH3 + H2 + 16 ADP + 16 P Three genetically distinct nitrogenase systems have been found in diazotrophs, namely Nif, Vnf and Anf in which the active site central metals are Mo, V, and Fe, respectively (Zhao et al 2006). One of the main arguments for boxing being banned is that serious medical injury can result from boxing due to continuous blows to the head. • 42. Deforestation Is A Global Issue The long term removal of tree cover, deforestation, is a global issue that can be catastrophic if not resolved and is one of the most urgent of issues. Deforestation is a global issue, not only because it happens all around the world, in multiple countries but also because its causes are produced by globally drive motives. Politically, Socially and Environmentally, deforestation is a global issue that delves deeply in almost all aspects of organism life. This essay will explore into the intricacy of the global issue of deforestation and its surface and root causes. However, Komugi is also a significant source for intersectionality. Utilizing feminist theory, individuals can see that she is already depicted as weaker, which could be assumed that this is done because she is portrayed as female. Then, in addition to this, she is weakened even more by her disability. This follows... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 44. Historical Declaration Analysis My reactions to the historic declaration were mixed. On the one hand, I felt that the historic declaration was reasonable and essential. The Declaration endows the indigenous peoples with basic human rights as other people. It ends suffering of indigenous peoples and justifies their rights to self determination, identity, ownership of land, culture, and many other issues. I am happy for indigenous peoples and grateful for the United Nations efforts. On the other hand, I felt sorry for our behaviors and words. Indigenous peoples are the same with other peoples, such as Americans, Canadians, and Australians. However, they have been discriminated and unfairly treated for a long time and the discrimination still exists after the Declaration was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
