Racial discrimination has always been a serious social problem. Racial discrimination is

4. Boston Bombing Report
On April 15, 2013, Boston s first attack on public citizens, in a long time. During this
attack 3 civilians were killed and later on there was an officer shot by the suspect.
There was also 264 people who were wounded during this time as well. All this was
caused by two bombs that went off on Boylston Street each at different parts of the street.
This was known as the BostonBombing. Hello I m Cameron Smith, our country has
many monuments and memorials, all dedicated to people or events that would never
be forgotten in America s history. On the dated listed above the Boston Bombing
happened, which affected many people who lived in America. This is why I am
proposing a new monument to honor all those people who risked their lives to go save
others who, were injured. This monument would also honor those who lost their lives
during this tragic accident. This monument would be built in Boston, near where the
bombs went off. As you can see on the rough sketch the design shows seven people.

and are assisting the injured people. The max height of people the people who are

5. Research Review Of New Horizons
Research Paper A Trip to Pluto
Synopsis: New Horizons is the first probe to get within 8000 miles of Pluto. We
currently think our best shot at finding extraterrestrial life is Mars or Europa, but if
New Horizon were to send us signs of life from Pluto, it would drastically change goals
for the future of space exploration. A manned mission to Pluto might go from a distant
dream to a top priority, but the challenges of such a journey are immense. The spacecraft
must be able to travel to the outer reaches of the solar system safely and swiftly and life
support must be able to keep the crew alive and well, both in transit and once they reach
the planet. My story follows a manned mission to Pluto with a crew of 4 astronauts, and
covers the technology needed to overcome the technical challenges of reaching the
distant, icy dwarf planet.
The topic I m focusing on for the purposes of this paper is propulsion and orbital
mechanics, specifically, gravity assists, fusion engines and propulsive landers.
One of the biggest problems with travelling to Pluto is simply summed up by the fact
that it is very, very far away. Pluto has a highly elliptical orbit, so at different points in
time it s closer and then further away from us (and the sun). In terms of distance from
the sun, it s about 29.7 AU at the closest part of its orbit (the perihelion) and 49.3 AU at
the furthest part (aphelion), leading to an average of 39.5 AU. [1] We only recently
managed to get a spacecraft within flyby

On 27 July 1996 in the town of Atlanta, Georgia, there was a terror attack where two
people were killed and 110 were injured. This occurred after a pipe bomb explodes at

7. Comparative Essay On Spirited Away
Spirited Away is an animation, adventure, and family film written and directed by Hayao
Miyazaki and Kirk Wise. Chihiro and her family are moving to the countryside when
Chihiro s father makes a wrong turn to a tunnel that leads to a town filled with all things
supernatural. Throughout the movie, Chihiro has been working in the spirit world so
that pay off the debt and turn her parents back into humans.
During the movie, I have found that I most relate to Chihiro because she goes through
the hardships of helping her family. Brave had been the movie I thought of while
watching Spirited Awaysince the daughters of both movies are doing what they can to
reverse what happened to their families. While watching the movie it made me think

8. Common Misconceptions Of The Health Community
Common misconceptions in the health community revolve around what the body needs
versus what media says the body needs. Are dietary supplements efficient? Are they even
necessary? To answer these questions, one must investigate the three most popular
supplements herbal, pill, and gel capsules in order to determine which type best suits the
body s needs.
Although they are one of the most ancient practices of medicine, certain herbal
supplements have no impact on the body while others do. Herbs are a type of plant, but
the stem of an herb is not as hardy, [and does not have a] woody structure which makes
herbs easy to consume ( Herbs ). Because herbs do not have a woody structure they
have the capacity to be consumed in various ways. In the past herbs were consumed as
tea, although this practice is still in effect; people prefer consuming herbs via
extractions. One of the most popular methods of extraction is the whole herb method
which asserts that all of a plant s compounds contribute to its ability to heal and protect
health [;] this method ensures that one receives the purest form of the natural herb
(Ogden). Purity is a standard that many companies swear by, and herbal companies are
no different. Herb Pham, for example, is a very popular liquid herbal supplement;
liquid forms of any type of remedy are known to be absorbed by the body quickest, but
the companies research shows that many of the types of herbs they sell have little to no
effect on the body. One of the

Miss Temple displayed to Jane the importance of trust. Jane has had an unfortunate
childhood. Between the emotional abuse she has endured from her aunt and the
brutality of her cousins. When her aunt sends her to a boarding school called Lowood,
Jane meets Miss Temple, the superintendent, whom is very nice to Jane. The reason
why Jane was sent to Lowood was because her aunt, Mrs. Reed, accused her of lying.
When Jane tells Miss Temple about how she has been falsely accused, Miss Temple
believes Jane. Jane recounts it as the following: Exhausted by emotion, my language was
more subdued than it generally was when it developed that sad theme; and mindful of
Helen s warnings against the indulgence of resentment, I infused into the narrative far
10. Michael Kimmel s Impact Of The Media On Men
Impact of the Media on Men When boys are young they are told to toughen up or to
stop acting like a girl when they are sad or want to cry. Michael Kimmel, author of
Bros Before Hos : The Guy Code, discusses how there is a code guys are supposed to
follow and how being taught natural behaviors, such as crying or talking about
emotions, are wrong at a young age negatively impacts boys for their whole life. Emily
Smith, the author of Life on the Island, talks about how a decrease in places that have a
feelingof community increases the suiciderate among men. Everyone tells boys to act a
certain way their father, coach, even people they don t know, but this is not the only
place they hear these negative statements. Television and magazine advertisements often
depict men in an unrealistic way that feels unachievable and because of this young boys
who view these ads feel negatively about themselves and because of the guycode they
can t share their feelings and emotions which can lead to depression or even suicide.
Almost everyone is exposed to advertisements when they are children. Ads are
everywhere and they make people feel a certain way towards what they are trying to
sell even if the people involved feel unaffected. Ads are supposed to do this and can
make their audience feel happy, but there is a chance that they will do the opposite.
Many ads make men feel like they are not strong or tough enough. A study done on the
effects of media images from magazines on the body and self Esteem said, Men s
Health and GQ both focus primarily on men s bodies and send very overt messages
about what men should look like. Therefore, it may be very easy for men who read
these magazines to feel as though they do not measure up (Hobza, Cody L., et al. 168).
Ads in magazines or on tv don t usually show men crying or talking about their emotions
with their friends because that is something men are not supposed to do; instead ads
show them being strong, tough, and emotionally stable. When guys or advertisements
make other guys feel like they are not good enough or strong enough, they have to deal
with it themselves because they don t want to be emasculated by their friends and
family. Some men may feel like there is

13. Frankenstein Pursuit Of Knowledge
It is often said that knowledge is power, however, one s perspective lies at the heart of
what one does with that power. Everything that is, or ever was, considered knowledge,
carried a perspective and that perspective acted as a new lens. Through the lens of
literature, a theme that is present in certain novels revolves around the dangers of the
pursuit of knowledge. These novels suggest that the knower made a mistake in pursuing
it and makes the argument that some knowledge should never be pursued. This
ambiguity surrounding the ethics of the pursuit of knowledge leads to questions such as:
how is a knower s pursuit of knowledge deemed moral or immoral? Throughout history it
is has been seen that scientific discoveries soon turned into toys... Show more content on

Dr. Robert Hutchings Goddard was a physicist and he is considered the father of
modern rocket propulsion. During the 1920s Goddard had outlined the possibility of
a rocket reaching the moon. The media picked up Goddard s scientific proposal and
essentially used it to create a journalistic controversy exploring whether it was even
possible to travel in space. This resulted in the belittlement of Goddard s work and a
non believing public. However, during the World Wars, Goddard s work largely
outlined the technical detail of what became the German V 2 missiles, including
gyroscopic control, steering by means of vanes in the jet stream of the rocket motor,
power driven fuel pumps, etc (NASA, Dr. Robert H. Goddard ). When his original
pursuit of knowledge was geared toward scientific space travel he was ridiculed, but once
his work could be geared towards war, he was largely
14. The Battle Between God And Science
The Battle Between God and Science When children are little they ask simple
questions like Why is the sky blue? , but as they grow older they ask tougher questions
like Does God exist? and if so Why have I never seen him? Parents easily brush these
questions off with You don t have to see him to know he exists , but that only makes the
child more frustrated. That s where parents are wrong though in order to believe then God
must be seen; it s the only logical way that people understand things. That s where the
science of it all comes into play. Evolutionis an analytical conclusion to how the world
began and developed to become what it is today, gives people a general idea where they

Birds that are born in warmer climates have a thinner lining of feathers so they can be

couldn t. When you understand anything...the Earth is patently
15. Providing A Living Wage At America Versus Minimum Wage
Providing a Living Wage in America versus Minimum Wage Minimum wage is the
standard amount the government sets as the lowest an employer can pay an individual
per hour. A low minimum wage can be unsustainable if it does not meet the cost of
living also known as a living wage. Living wages should not only apply to employees
of companies who are engaged in business with businesses or government agencies of
that area, but it (living wages) should be made into law, that all business must provide a
standard of living wage. Living wages should be supported by all government
particularly both federal and state agencies across the board should be in agreement on
this issue.
What is a living wage? A living wage is one that allows families to meet their basic
needs, without public assistance, and that provides them some ability to deal with
emergencies and plan ahead (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2014). The sole purpose of a
living wage is to allow those fulltime and yearly employees/workers the means and
ability to provide for their families (Clain 2012, p.315 27). This issue is not only begin
debated here the United States but it is a concern around the world, whether the fair
distribution of income, the level of wages and other factors are indeed affecting the
standard of living for its citizens ( Clary). The minimum wage in 2014 was 24 percent
below its 1968 level despite the fact that U.S. productivity more than doubled over that
period and low wage workers now have much more
16. Rostow s Theory Of Economic Growth
Rostow s theory of economic growth (or Rostovian take off model), is historically one
of the major models of economic growth. Published in 1960 by American economist
Walt Whitman Rostow, the model dictates that economic growth occurs in five stages of
fluctuating time periods. The five stages include 1) the traditional society, 2) the
preconditions for take off, 3) the take off, 4) the drive to maturity, and finally, 5) the age
of mass production. The following definitions were established by Walt Rostow in his
book published in 1960, The Stages of Economic Growth. The first stage, the traditional
society, describes countries where the population is still actively engaged in agricultural
practises, therefore eliminating any time available to undertake major economic and
entrepreneurial risks. The technology and science in use is also described as pre
Newtonian . Examples of such societies include Medieval Europe and Chinese dynasties.
The second stage, preconditions for take off, is explained as encompassing nations with a
more stable political base. This stage was clearly established in Western Europe in the
late seventeenth century and early eighteenth century, as scientific advancements and
continued industrialisation had aided agriculture and the capital market to thrive. The
next stage is the actual take off stage, where new industries appear and agriculture is
being commercialised. Steady growth is evident through the exploitation of natural
resources, and savings
17. Pierre Trudeau s Accomplishments
The past is to be respected and acknowledged but not to be worshipped. It is our future
in which we find our greatness. These words were written by Prime Minister Pierre
Elliott Trudeau, who paved the way for the great Canadian future present today. Pierre
Elliott Trudeau was an indispensable leader who guided Canadato greatness, he brought
biculturalism and bilingualism to Canada, believed in equality and protecting human
rights. Pierre Elliott Trudeau s accomplishments paved the way for a greater Canadian
future because he became the leader Canada needed for protecting human rights,

Trudeau fought for Canada to be a country of many languages and cultures, he did this
by introducing The Official Languages Act. In 1969 Trudeau established The Official
Languages Act, this made English and French the official languages of Canada. It
required all federal institutions to provide services in English and French. The Act was
passed on the recommendation of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and
Biculturalism on 7 September 1969. The act was to ensure respect and equality of all
rights and privileges as to their use in all federal institutions. The act supported the
development of English and French linguistic minority communities and advanced the
equality of English and French languages within Canada s society. Trudeau truly lead
Canada to success and wanted the nation to become more diverse. Trudeau noted,
Bilingualism means you can speak to the other; duality means you live in one language
and the rest of Canada will live in another language. Trudeau strongly pushed for Canada
to be Bilingual and thought it would make Canada stronger as a country. Trudeau felt that
Quebec had to be less isolated and that it would allow French Canadians to maintain
their culture while playing part in a key role in Canada. It was because of Pierre Elliott
Trudeau that Canada kept peace amongst everyone and continued to be a united country.
Trudeau made Canada better by bringing

behavioral health disorders and intellectual disabilities. (The center for health care
services, http://chcsbc.org/board of trustees/) The Center for health care services also

agencies, I always found myself coming back to CHCS. I love that this agency offers all
forms of help for people with special needs and those who are suffering from mental
Illness. I have a brother who is special and suffers from both behavioral and intellectual
disabilities. I feel like working for this agency, I would learn to understand my brother

19. Salutary Neglect In Colonial England
The definition of Salutary Neglect is an unofficial and long term 17th and 18th century
British policy of avoiding strict enforcement of parliamentary laws meant to keep
American colonies obedient to England. This British policy of Salutary Neglect was
never documented although Britain was strict about it. Salutary Neglect often is
associated with laws regarding trade. It was effected during mainly the Navigational
Acts and the Triangular Trade. It was an unofficial policy that ensured the colonists stay
loyal to England. There were many reasons for the development and the use of Salutary
Neglect. Salutary Neglect also played a major role in the expansion and development of
Colonial America. One of the main reason of Salutary Neglect... Show more content on

Illegal smuggling became a foundation of triangular trade routed between North
American colonies, the Caribbean, Africa and Europe. The illegal smuggling violated the
Navigation Acts which made New England merchants very wealthy. Once again, there is
no official enforcement enforcing the laws. The Mother Country s lack of enforcement,
allowed Colonial America to set its own course of independence. America formed very
independent legislatures who became accustomed to passing their own laws regarding
taxation. Evidently, the colonies economically flourished under salutary neglect because
America traded extensively with other countries directly and they disobeyed England.
Salutary Neglect came to an end in the year 1763. The British actually attempt to reverse
the policy of Salutary Neglect by enforcing the Navigational Acts and imposing new
taxes such as the Stamp Act and the Townshend Acts. This reversal created an infuriation
and rage in the colonists. The British also began taking away the profits of the people
through more taxing. The colonists will begin to protest against the new taxing measures
and the Sons of Liberty will be

There I was sitting in my communications class, more tired than ever before, until Leila

me, ever since then I started participating more and been more awake in class. This
class helped me improve my public speaking apprehension, participation in class and my

to improve on my participation in class. As the semester went on I noticed improvements
in all these categories by the way I presented and my grade got better.
The one skill that I improved on that will really help me in the future is public speaking

chance that I will have to present in front of CEO s and it is important not to be
nervous. Doing the speeches in class, really helped me. At first, I would start off the
speech good and then realize that I am presenting and start messing up and getting
nervous during the speeches. Then I remember presenting the persuasive speech and
the way I presented it had a better flow and I was not too nervous so I even volunteer to
go first the day I had to present. The more speeches we presented, the better I knew how
to control my body and how to calm it down. All because I took Leila s class.
Another skill that I improved on is my

Star Wars is a science fiction universe, created by the minds of George Lucas and
Steven Spielberg, which has been taking the world by loved since the 70 s. With its

ever since its first red carpet premiere in 1977. There are six known movies, 2 different
cartoon television series, countless merchandise sold, and much more. Recently Disney
spent $4 billion for the ownership rights of the franchise. Was this a good idea to hand

All but a hand full were executed on sight. In the next three episodes, also known as the
original trilogy, it centers on a young man, finding his role in the fight against the
Galactic Empire. The man known as Luke Skywalker discovers he is to become a Jedi
knight and joins the Rebels to defeat the Empire. This is what George Lucas created and
what Disney plans to build off of. However, the television series that just finished its
seventh season does not follow this timeline. Such example include the introduction to a
padawan, apprentice to a key character, under the teachings of Anakin Skywalker, who

23. Essay about Our Trip to Wyoming was Beautiful
Wyoming is a beautiful place We never drove farther west than Iowa. Going to
Wyoming was something my brothers and I were looking forward too. Talking about
all the activities we will be doing and places we will be stopping at made us more
excited. It got me wishing we were going that day, but I knew we had to wait a couple
a weeks. Waiting was the worst part of the trip. I could not focus on anything besides
getting ready for the trip. As those long weeks came by we finally were packed to go.
It was 4 a.m. and my parents were packing the car and telling us to bring everything
out. We decided to take the minivan, so there was plenty of space. My older brother
always got the back seats to himself so he had his bags back there with him. My... Show

Then we wanted to make no stops from here to Yellowstone. Driving along by the
mountain near Yellowstone they told us to go around but we did not want to waste 2
hours so we went up the mountain nice and slow. Since the mountain was so steep it
burned our tires. When we reached Yellowstone we made my dad pull over and we
stopped at Yellowstone Lake. I remember my dad telling us that the ice just melted
from the mountain so it was cold. We did not care we went in anyway, he was right. It
was freezing cold so as we came out and our dad was smiling, he bet us we could not
reach to the middle of the lake. We decided to try and make a raft to get us to the
middle and to paddle with are hands there and back. As we tried to make a raft out of
the huge logs we found near by we could not find anything to tie them together so we
just decided to hold on to all of them. As you can only imagine, it failed and we went
into the water. We gave up after a half hour and got back in to the car. It was so
beautiful going up the side of the mountain. I remember going up and seeing a mama
wolf, she had two little cubs playing by the logs. We stayed in Yellowstone that night.
We got up early the next morning and saw old faithful waiting for it to irrupt. Saw
other geysers and some colorful ones. We went back to the cabin and as we were
eating diner we saw a pack of wolves run by. That night all we heard the wolves so close
but then it disappeared in the middle of the night. As

Jareth Smith the Seven Wonders 10/16/17
Of the Ancient World
The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World are the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging
Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus in Olympia, the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus,
the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes, and the Lighthouse of
Alexandria. These are seven absolutely magnificent structures, built in the ancient world.
The Seven Wonders of the Ancient Worldwere first called themata, which translates in
Greek to things to be seen .
The Great Pyramid of Giza, located in Egypt, was built between 2583 and 2561 BCE
for the Egyptian pharaoh Khufu, also Known as Cheops in Greek culture. The Great
Pyramid of Giza was the tallest man made structure for nearly 4,000 years. The
excavation of the interior of the pyramid was initiated in the late 18th century and early
19th century. The structure itself, with its imposing height and perfect symmetry, is what
impressed most ancient visitors. The Great Pyramid is also the only one of the Seven
Wonders which still stand in fabulous condition to this day.
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are also one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient
World. The Hanging Gardens was built by the Babylonian ruler, Nebuchadnezzar, as a
gift to his wife. Diodorus Sicilus, an ancient writer, had wrote that Nebuchadnezzar s
wife, Amtis of Media, had missed the beautiful landscape and flowers of her homeland,
and to please his wife, Nebuchadnezzar had a temple built. The temple was

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. This George
Santayana quote speaks volumes about what should be taken into consideration when
making a decision with a lot riding on it. If nothing else, this quote serves as the proper
bridge, or connection, between Robert McNamara s Eleven Lessons in The Fog of War
and the ongoing conflict in Libya. In The Fog of War , Robert McNamarabreaks down 11
vital lessons he learned about war from the Vietnam War. When looking at the current
Libyan situation, these lessons can be similarly applied, and thus avoid any potentially
costly mistakes like the ones made in Vietnam. McNamara himself has stated that those

A month later, the coalition military (made up primarily by the United States, French,
United Kingdom) intervention began. With the help of the four selected lessons by
Robert McNamara, the situation can be contained and can be looked upon in
hindsight as a success. The first lesson learned by Robert McNamara was that it is
essential to empathize with your enemy. It is important to understand where Gaddafi
is coming from, understand why he feels the way the way he does. Once the coalition
forces properly establishes what his motivations and reasonings are, they can adapt to
that style and begin to formulate a strategy that best suits Gaddafi as an individual.
Gaining a proper understanding Gaddafi will go a long ways in stopping him. Gaddafi
feels that the rebellion is being controlled by al Qaeda. He believes that all of the
protesters are being drugged and are under mind control. He has also since stated that the
coalition forces are just intervening for their own oil interests and are trying to enslave
the Libyan people. The mistake made in Vietnam, according to McNamara, is that the
United States misjudged them. They did not understand the Vietcong, and thus were
gravely unprepared for the amount of damage that the Vietcong could inflict. That s why
empathy is essential and that s why it must be applied. Part of empathizing is getting an
accurate reading and judgment on Gaddafi. In general it speaks to the level of
preparation. The coalition must empathize
26. The Hiding Place Book Report
The Hiding Place by Orna Jagur
The Hiding Place is about Corrie ten Boom, her family, and how they helped the Jews in
Holland when Germany invaded Holland in World War II.
The main characters are Corrie, her older sisters Betsie and Nollie, her older brother
Willem, and their father, Casper ten Boom, commonly referred to as Opa.
The book starts out in January of 1937, in Haarlem, Holland.
When Germany invaded Holland during the beginning of World War II, the Jews were
the German soldiers and Adolf Hitler s main targets. Jews were required to wear a
yellow star on their shirt, and if they walked around town during the day, they risked
being taken into captivity by the German soldiers. This, among other racism against ...

So Corrie would take the ration cards that were hidden and give them to Jews. After a
year or so, Corrie and her family ran out of places to send Jews for hiding, so they were
forced to keep 7 Jews in their own house.
A fellow member of the Dutch Underground warned the ten Boom family that if their
house was ever to be searched by soldiers and they had Jews in their house, they d be in
trouble. For families living in the country this wasn t much of a problem, but the ten
Boom house (the Beje), was located on the main street of the city and around the
corner from the German headquarters! Since the Beje also served as a pretty famous
watch store, this could also be a problem because random people could come in during
open store hours. To fix this problem, a man offered to build a secret room located
somewhere in the Beje. This room is where the Jews would hide if the Beje had been
broken in and searched through by the Germans. The man had built the secret room into
the back of Corrie s personal bedroom. When he was done, it was completely
unnoticeable to the naked eye that there was a hidden room behind her bedroom wall.
For months, the 7 Jews (Eusie, Jop, Henk, Leendert, Meta, Thea, and Mary) just slept in
it.
On February 28th, 1944, the Secret room got its first and only time to actually hide the 7
Jews in the ten Boom household. It seemed, somehow,

He has lost his speech and began howling, We could hear him moving about in his own
room, but there was no light there. Presently from this room came the long howl of a
wolf (Kipling 5). When he started howling Strickland s thoughts became a reality, so
and the narrator came up with a plan to capture the Silver Man. When they lured him,
the leper halted in the front porch for a moment and we jumped out on him with the
sticks. He was wonderfully strong ... Strickland knocked his legs from under him and
I put my foot on his neck (Kipling 7). Fighting them at first, they drug him inside
where Fleete was, begging him to take away the curse. After torturing the Silver Man
he defeatedly took away the curse, we unstrapped the leper and told him to take away
the evil spirit. He crawled to the beast and laid his head upon the left breast. That was
all. Then he fell face down and whined and drawing in his breath as he did so (Kipling
7). Fleete went to sleep afterwards. Strickland went to the priests to thank them for taking
away the curse, but the priest had no idea what he was talking about. Upon returning
home, Strickland discovered Fleete does not even remember the incident itself, only
Strickland and the narrator remember. Fleete mocked the smell of dog and laughed about

Hernandez 1 Pancho villa was a man who not only was a legend. He was a
revolutionary hero, military leader, and a fugitive. Many people know him as the person
who fought for the rights of the poor. He was there to support his kind and protect them
from what they call the rich people. That s how the Mexican revolutionbegan. Before he
was known as Francisco Villa , he was Jose Doroteo Arango Arambula, born June 5,
1878 in San Juan Del Rio, Durango, Chihuahua, Mexico. He changed his name because
in his town he had killed a man who almost raped his younger sister. He had no choice
but to escape. Later in his life he was recruited as commander in chief who led 28 men

town in Durango. When he got there during the time that he was he became an outlaw

bandits best known in that town. In 1903 Pancho villa killed an army officer and then
stole the officer s horse. So that is also why he no longer had the name of Jose Doroteo
Arango. In 1910, the Mexican revolution began. As it later on spread he joined Madero
and his troops. They won the first battle that took place in Ciudad Juarez in 1911. It
was the time where peasants were frustrated due to economic problems and being
mistreated by landowners. In that time of the Mexican Revolution Pancho Villa was
32 years old and he led twenty eight men into the revolution who only wanted the title
of victory. They were going to do just about anything to earn that title. Villa was best
known as one of the best gunfighters in the Mexican revolution. Everyone looked up
to his ways; they were amazed at how he had so much passion for what he was
fighting for. He never backed down he couldn t he knew he was stronger. Pancho Villa
knew that the people counted on him and his support. In Mexican history he was an idol
especially to those of low economic stability. To people in the United States it was the

29. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Elasticity Of Demand
Question 1
NO.THEORIES/CONCEPTEXPLANATION
1Elasticity of demandElasticity of demand is a measure of the response of quantity
demanded to a change in any economic variables. Tourist and locals are less sensitive to
the changes in price at Central Market due to the price of substitute goods. Hence, the
demand is said to be fairly inelastic.
2Total Variable Cost
Total variable cost is the overall expense related with producing or
providing a service changes in direct proportion to the quantity provided. For instance,
although the Central Market building is a fixed cost, maintenance for the building such as
cleaning requires labourers which add to the costs. These additional costs are referred to
as total variable costs.
3Internal Economies of ScaleWhen a firm expands its scale of production, the
economies, which accrue to this firm, are known as internal economies. Marketing, an
internal economy in Central Market, is achieved by buying raw materials and also
selling final goods. Since it purchases the items from the small industries in bulk, Central
Market can bargain on favourable terms to reduce its expenses.
4External Diseconomies of ScaleExternal diseconomies of scale are the disadvantages
that arise due to over concentration and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

limited and could only accommodate a small number of visitors. Besides, the bus stop
located along the roadside leads to massive traffic congestion when busses filled with
visitors arrive at Central Market. Not only that, the nearest train station is at least a five
minutes walk from Central Market. All this contributes to the lack of people visiting the
colonial heritage and thus the lack of demand as well. Therefore, Kha Seng Group finds
it difficult to attract customers due to the paucity in modes of

The scrotum is the pouch of skin that holds the testes. The scrotum also contains the
veins responsible for delivering blood to the male reproductive glands. Varicocele is
the medical term that is used to refer to an expansion of the veins (pampiniform
plexus) within the scrotum. A varicocele is comparable to the varicose veins that
occur in the legs. This is a rather common condition, affecting 10 to 15 of every 100
males: There are more than 3 million cases of varicoceles in the U.S. every year. This
condition can be chronic, lasting for several years or for the remainder of the man s life,
the majority of males who develop a varicocele are diagnosed at some point between the

The grade of your varicocele is determined by the size of the lump in your testicle.
Grade 1: Small
Grade 2: Medium
Grade 3: Large
The size of your lump does not necessarily affect your overall treatment. Treatment
options are based on your discomfort level (if any) or infertility issues you are
experiencing.
Treatment Options
While treatment is not always necessary, if you are experiencing symptoms you may
want to consider treatment. Some patients find that wearing a jock strap or tight
underwear can provide them with additional support, which alleviates some of the pain
or discomfort they are experiencing.
If your symptoms continue or worsen, you may need want to consider having one of the
following treatments:
A varicocelectomy The is an outpatient surgery that is performed by a urologist. The
abnormal veins are clamped. Once clamped, the blood will flow around the abnormal
veins and to the normal ones that remain.
Varicocele embolization This outpatient procedure is less invasive than the
varicocelectomy. During this procedure, a small catheter is inserted into the varicocele.
After insertion, a coil is put into place to block the blood flow to the abnormal
