Barium Swallow Case Study
Barium Swallow A barium swallow is an X ray exam that is used to evaluate the area
at the back of your throat (pharynx) and the tube that carries food and liquid from your
mouth to your stomach (esophagus). For this exam, you will swallow a white chalky
liquid called barium. X rays are done while the barium passes through your pharynx and
esophagus. The barium makes it easier for your health care provider to see possible
problems in this area. A barium swallow may be done to check for various problems,
such as: Ulcers. Tumors. Inflammation of the esophagus. Hiatal hernia. This is a
condition in which the upper portion of the stomach protrudes into the chest cavity.

You will likely drink the barium through a straw. During the procedure, the X ray table
may be moved to a more upright angle. You may also be asked to shift your position on
the table. This will allow your entire esophagus to be viewed. The health care provider
will watch the barium flow through your esophagus using a type of X ray that allows
images to be viewed on a monitor in a movie like sequence (fluoroscopy). X ray
images will also be stored for later viewing. AFTER THE PROCEDURE You can
return to your regular activities and diet unless instructed otherwise by your health
care provider. Your stool (feces) may be white or gray for 2 3 days until all the barium
has passed out of your body in your stool. You may be given a laxative to take in order
to help remove the barium from your body. Your health care provider may recommend
other things to help prevent constipation after this procedure, including: в—‹ Drinking
enough fluid to keep your urine clear or pale yellow. в—‹ Eating foods that have a lot of
fiber, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and beans. Call your health care provider
Biography Of Auguste Rodin s The Gates Of Hell
Auguste Rodin has a number of awe inspiring pieces, ranging in medium, size, and
location. Outside the massive cluster in Paris, they pop up in the most unusual places,
such as Philadelphia, Seoul, Tokyo, and Raleigh. What is even more interesting is that
many of Rodin s pieces were designed to be part of a single great piece, a massive pair
of doors, intended for an art museum that grew into something much more. This piece is
Rodin s Gates of Hell. The gates are particularly significant to the world of art, not only
for the sculptural mastery they display, but also for being a rather revolutionary piece in
regards to the physical build and the emotion provocation. They display the characteristic
Rodin flair for emotional content, perhaps... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In his creation techniques, Rodin used a casting technique, where he would first make
the sculpture out of clay or plaster, and then it to someone else to be cast and glazed
into the blackened bronze look he is so well known for. Perhaps this spare time
allowed him to create more prolifically, as he made multiple copies of many pieces,
ranging in size. He would also often also combine separate pieces with modification to
create a new piece, many of which are well known. His gates are remarkable because
of this dedication, taking the typical relief method of only having only slight amounts
of depth created, to having the surface of the gates roiling with sinners pulling away
from the slab, their bodies protruding outwards. Theses gates excluded a number of
motifs from a variety of places, which leads, in turn, back to speculation on the
influences Rodin had while designing them. The main influences on the gates include
Rodin s personal and professional life, The Inferno, and artists and writers of the times.
A relief is a sculpture done on a slab, with rationally layer being taken away or added to
create depth, without any main protrusions from the slab. Casting is a complex process,
but ultimately results in in a hollow metal replica of the sculpted. The pieces are ground
down to remove any imperfections, then finished with coats of metal oxides, known as a
patina, that react with the bronze and produces the
Rett Syndrome Analysis
Rett Syndrome (RTT) is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder caused by a mutation of a
gene found on the X chromosome; it have been thought that RTT was exclusively found
in females, but a limited number of males with RTT have been reported (Renieri et al,
2003). Unlike females, who have two X chromosomes, males only have one X
chromosome. Because males lack a backup copy of the X chromosome that can
compensate for a faulty one, RTT is often fatal to males (Katz et al, 2012). Prior research
has shown that a mutation in the methyl CpG binding protein 2 (MeCP2) gene
predominantly causes RTT (Forbes Lorman et al, 2014). The MeCP2 gene holds the
information for the production of the protein methyl cytosine binding protein 2 (MeCP2),
which is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Reduction in brain and neuronal sizes with an increase in cell density is consistently
observed in several brain regions of patients with RTT (Calfa et al, 2015). These areas
include the cerebral cortex, hypothalamus and the hippocampal formation (Belichenko
et al, 2009). According to Belichenko (2009) dendritic morphology of neurons has been
observed in a number of neurodevelopmental disorders, including RTT. An
autoradiography done in the frontal cortex and basal ganglia of individuals affected
by RTT have shown complex abnormalities in the density of glutamate receptors such
as NMDA (N methyl d aspartate), AMPA (О± amino 3 hydroxy 5 methyl 4
isoxazolepropionic acid), kainate and metabotropic receptors (Blue et al, 1999).The
prefrontal cortex of girls who were 2 8 year old had increased NMDA receptors as
compared to 10 year old girls who had reduced NMDA receptors. Receptor density was
dependent on age of the patient (Blue et al, 1999). Changes in the neurons, such as
decreased dendrites and decreased dendritic spine numbers are observed; particularly,
changes in the hippocampal CA1 pyramidal neurons are shown (Chapeau et al, 2012).
When compared to an age matched control, researchers noticed that RTT affected
patients had lower dendritic spine density in their
Relation Between Phoneme And Morphology
3.Phoneme and morpheme relationship.
The relation between phonemes and grammatical units such as morphemes and words is
therefore an aspect of the interface between Phonology and morphology. Both Phonology
and Morphology study various aspects in languages all over the world. Considering the
similarities of these fields, both are engaged in the scientific analysis of languages. Both
are branches of Linguistics and without studying Phonology, one cannot move on to
Morphology. Hence, there is an inter relationship between these branches. For
differences, Phonology essentially concentrates on the sound systems of a language
while Morphology pays attention to the word and the morphemes of a language. (Booij,
2007)

Allophone vs. allomorph.
Allophones are two or more realizations of a single underlying phoneme. The /t/ in top is
aspirated, but the /t/ in stop is not. These are two variations in pronunciation of the same
underlying phoneme /t/. There is no pair of English words top [aspirated] and top
[unaspirated]; it s always either one or the other (and it is predictable which one is
required).
Allomorphs are two or more realizations of a single underlying morpheme. For
example, the past morpheme ed in English. There are really three different ways this is
realized phonetically: /t/ in helped, /d/ in opened, or /id/ in wanted. Again, it is
predictable which one is required, but all three of these are manifestations of the same
morpheme ed .
Therefore, the main difference between the two is that allophones include several ways
to pronounce a single phoneme. Allomorphs include several ways to pronounce a single
morpheme.

Alphonse Gabriel Capone was born on January 17, 1899 in Brooklyn, New York
becoming the fourth child of nine children. He was the son of Gabriel and Teresa
Capone whom had emigrated from Italy in 1983. When he was in the sixth grade he
was expelled from school for hitting a teacher. A variety of events as a teenager led up to
his career as gangstersuch as joining a gang, arrested for multiple charges, and
suspicion of murder. Although he worked as a bartender and bouncer, he received the
nickname of Scarface, due to a knife wound. He married the daughter of a construction
laborer, Mary Coughlin on December 30, 1918. Capone began his career as a gangster s
apprentice, joining his mentor s gang and then being convicted for income tax evasion.
Capone was an apprentice to the first modern racketeer, Johnny Torrio. Johnny had an

The First Day Summary
From research and observation, school is a privilege, and school is also something that
we, as a nation, often take for granted. School has not always been mandatory or free
and not everyone was able to become educated. In the story The First Day, a young five
year old child tells the story of her first day of kindergarten, accompanied by her mother.
Her mother seemed proud and confident, dressing her daughter in the best clothes, with
the best hairstyle, even though they did not have much, ensuring her daughter would
attend school. The narrator, which is the child, reveals something about her mother; she
was unable to read nor right and was unable to fill out the paperwork necessary to have
her daughter enrolled. They were forced to ask for help and the child for the first time
notices the faces of the other parents and finally sees her mother in a different light.
The author describes the child s clothes on the morning of school in much detail,
signifying its importance, I am wearing a checkered like blue and green cotton dress
and scattered about these colors are bits of yellow and white and brown. She goes on to
explain her mother s uncharacteristic focus on her hair, making sure everything was
perfect. This idea is somewhat of a symbol and shows a focus on the child s mother and
how she views school. She emphasized this day, signifying to her daughter the
importance of going to school and that she should associate school with excitement. By

The starry night is a painting that was made by Vincent van Gogh. It s a landscape
painting made in June of 1889. It s an oil painting on a canvas that he painted while in
an asylum after he had a breakdown in 1888. He painted the starry night while he inside

paintings he made. He made many paintings of the view from his room in the asylum in
different weather. Each painting was of the same view however van Gogh managed to
make each painting different from each other and they each were unique in their own

The clocks are melting and there is a lot of mystery in the darkness of the painting.
The only objects in the painting that don t seem to look strange is the small tree on
which one of the clocks is melting and the mountain in the background. The
persistence of memory is supposed to represent what kind of things are seen when in a
dream state in Dali s own memory. I think that the clocks are melting because when
you have a dream it feels like it s a few minutes long however when you awaken from a
dream you find that night is gone and the morning is already here, so time does not
really happen in dreams which could be why the clocks are melting as they don t any use.

Invader is a French artist however his name is unknown and his appearance is also

Space invaders has been ongoing since 1998 and he is slowly expanding where his art is

He even has one of his mosaics in the ISS (international Space Station) as of 2015.
Originally he wanted to make the space invaders be tiles on canvases but he realized
that it would be perfect to make it directly on walls since tiles are the perfect material
for that. He began displaying his art in public places on walls, and he started off doing
this in Paris. Over time he has slowly expanded the reach of his art and he

one another hotel around one known hotel. This lucky one could gain recognition by
partnering with a neighboring attraction. In today s technology, consumers are able to
book their hotels by reading feedbacks and evaluating prices online. The success of a
hotel often depends on how it uses key factors like customer service, advertising, cost
control and product differentiation. Customer service is an significant part of the hotel
experience for customers. Hotel service starts from the front desk worker serves, as the
gatekeeper of the hotel. This employee provides the customer s first and last impression.
They should create a warm and welcoming atmosphere while they meet their customers.
There may be problematic situations during their stay. In that case, from gatekeeper to
hotel manager, who is responsible with their comfort will need to listen carefully and
understand what the problem is and then handle the situation. Thus, hotels achieve a
critical success factor by ensuring the staff is knowledgeable, polite and capable of
solving any conflicts that may arise at that point. Providing quality service also includes

Warehouse Management System ( Wms )
Constant technological development of the nowadays world dictates constant emergence
of new trends. One of such trends which the nowadays business world has been familiar
with for several decades is the technology called Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Warehouse management system has a purpose to automate and refine the management of
the inventoryin a warehouse, warehouse space, the people who work in the warehouse
and the time available to accomplish warehouse tasks (Young 2009). In case of correct
and thoughtful implementation this system allows for improved productivity, increased
customer service and better level of asset utilization.

Therefore, the book industry, and in particular book wholesale industry is still
flourishing, since they provide possibility to distribute and resell books in smaller
quantities than suppliers do.
The wholesalers whose business is connected only to books, journals and newspapers
are generally considered to be speciality wholesalers. Speciality wholesaler is the one
that specializes in one product line (or a few product lines) but carries the line or lines
in considerable depth (MONASH Marketing Dictionary 2004). This type of wholesaler
can have products from various suppliers, but the product type or industry is the same.
Since the industry is specialized, such book wholesalers have broad knowledge on
assortment, trends, and new releases. They have to maintain relationships with different
publishers worldwide in order to achieve access to various printed books required by the
customers.
For the wholesalers of books the warehouse or distribution center is the most important
asset. The main task of wholesalers is to buy the products from various suppliers and
resell them to retailers, other wholesalers, businesses or end customers. Therefore, it is
crucial to have sufficient place for storing books and processing the orders.
However, various characteristics of book as a product
PED In Sports
The health factors happening in one s body are immense only because it is creating a
rapid acceleration of body cells that should be naturally created and not synthetic. If the
body undergoes this kind of evolution, it will not know how to cope with the changes and
adapt to it in time. The body will start shutting down the production of testosterone
because it has a sufficient supply coming from an outside source. Once the body stops
moving it will permanently shut down and the abusers will have to supply themselves
with more hormones from an outside source so that their body will create more
hormones for the body to maintain itself. As a matter of fact, athletes who do not use
PED s have an unfair advantage in their field of sport. Athletes... Show more content on

For example, If a man who normally produces about seven milligrams day of natural
testosterone takes 100 milligrams of steroids daily, he exposes himself to a ten to

milligrams a day and takes 100 milligram of steroids a day exposes herself to more
than 300 fold increase in testosterone beyond the normal level for women (Yesalis and
Cowart 63). Through PED s, athletes can show their best performance without any
limitations of their body slowing down or running out of energy. However, consuming
too many doses of PED s will lead to serious damage to the body and may lead to
several life threatening problems in the future. For example, Manny Ramirez, helped
the Red Sox stop the losing streak for the past eighty six years (Ramirez). No doubt
Ramirez is an amazing player, however he did admit to using PED and he was
suspended for it. Ramirez did not take the 100 game suspension, but instead, he decided
to leave baseball. With this reason being, no one can see him play anymore and see his
amazing talent on the field, which is not benefiting the
A Theoretical Framework for Energy Security Through
Discourse
The current chapter presents the theoretical framework for the thesis and a method for
the analysis. The central question of the paper regards the evolution of the EU and
Estonian energy security discourses and the implications for the EU governance models
in the changing global conditions. For many years, studies of Europe have focused on
the internal processes of integration and enlargement. Nevertheless, in the context of
growing global challenges and the need for innovative solutions for gaining the
competitive advantage signalled that there is a need to turn attention to external

According to Webber et al, as well as, Buzan et al, governance structures have a
hierarchical institutionalized dimension. The actors within the structure grant the
authority to the institutions they trust and choose to obey. Rod Rhodes, in his work on
theorizing the problems of governance, outlines that it is not possible to discuss the
problems of governance without further specification of its sphere. From the early 90s,
the problems of governance have been mostly discussed within the schools of political
science. The enlargement of the EU and the increasing interdependence of the member
states triggered the academic interest towards the distinct structures of the European
governance. In this light, a number of analysts began to address the question of how
should the relations between the member states and the European institutions be
examined in the framework of EU governance. Some emerging approaches for
considering these relations will be discussed in the sections below. 2.3.1. Top down and
bottom up approaches to the EU governance There are numerous approaches to study the
issues of European governance and the relations between its actors. Some analysts use
top down approaches and others bottom up approaches in addressing questions
concerning power relations between the EU and its member states. According to
Stradbroke Island Case Study
Stradbroke Island s sandmining industry grew from modest beginnings where as early
as 1948 hand mining using shovels and trucks on the beach was established. Over
numerous decades this soon developed into present days use of large scale dredging. The
establishment of aerial ropeways to transport minerals for processing to Dunwich began
in 1956 where the commencement of dredge miningwas initiated. Only a decade later, the
concentrations of the rich black mineralbeing mined were exhausted to the point that the
miners moved their operations to the fore dunes. Whilst the mining only caused minimal
disruption to the environment, as the industry began to expand in the 1970s so did the
impact on North Stradbroke s ecosystem. Sand mining company Consolidated Rutile
Limited (CRL) instigated dredge mining on Stradbroke s high dunes in 1979, this
radically altered the landscape of North Stradbroke Island (Sweet, C 2010). Another

Sex Offenders Deregistered
A considerable question could be whether an offender can be deregistered. Without a
doubt, there are a few sex offenders who have been convicted of this crime who do not
pose any threat to the community. These people suffer from consequences such as being
unable to have employment, return to school, or even social interactions. In cases like
these, they often look for an alternative option. For many years, deregistration was not
probable for anyone until now. Looking into the research of deregistration, an attorney
from Austin, Texas by the name of Scott Smith, has provided certain step for an
eligibility of deregistration. The first step is to determine the eligibility of the offender.

Institutional Reform In The United States
Political Science 50, Fall 2015 Short Analytic Paper Many politicians argue that there is
a need for institutional reform in the United States the sole purpose of such reform
should be to develop a more efficient system for the state as a whole. However, others
argue that there are existing institutions in the United Statesthat are structured efficiently.
In order to help determine where an individual will stand on the debate about institutional
reform, one must compare the effects of different forms of political institutions with the
existing form in the United States. There are three new proposals of reform to discuss for
the United States: 1) change in the electoral system for the House of Representatives, 2)

depends on what the relationship is between the executive structure and legislative
system. Under a presidential system the executive and legislative branches are separated
so that it is easier to distribute power equally and ensure that those in power are held
accountable. Although they don t hold checks and balances , under a parliamentary system
, the government can be more effective when they do not separate the executive and
legislative branches. This allows the government to accomplish more because they can
pass more legislations faster. It is more difficult to pass policies under a presidential
system because, unlike in parliamentary systems, they are unable to produce
comprehensive proposals in a promptly manner. Still, problems can arise in
parliamentary systems. For example, there may be immobilism in parliamentary
systems, similar to the deadlocks in presidential systems, which could cause a delay in
the process of making legislations. It is also more difficult to fix problems between the
legislative and executive branches in a presidential system because each side will
continue to fight over the power to pass laws and adjust it in the way they want. If the
legislative branches are weakened, there is more probability of presidentialism failing
than parliamentarism. Therefore, implementing a parliamentary executive structure
could be an effective
Persuasive Speech On Horse Slaughter
Every little girl dreams of having a horse, but what do you do with that horse when he
is too old to be rode and he struggles to come in and eat his grain? Most likely you don t
have the heart to put him down yourself, and to have him euthanized costs so much, but
are there any other options? Yes, there is one more option, that is horseslaughter. Don t be
afraid of it just because you hear the word slaughter, the horses are treated well and they
are put down humanely. Horse slaughteris a big controversy in the United States, and
there are many people that are against it, but I m here to tell you why everyone should
be for horse slaughter. Horse slaughter is something that is needed and not something
that is evil. Today I m going to tell you about why everyone should be for horse
slaughter and how it can help to control the horse population, help stimulate the economy
and help feed people that are starving. First, horse slaughter can help control the horse
population. By taking horses to slaughter then people can sell their unwanted, dangerous,
and old horses. Now there are many of you that might say they could also just be
euthanized, but this would cost the owners a fortune. If they sell their horse to a
slaughter house, then the owner no longer has the dangerous horse and he also made
money instead of losing money. Since the United States Banned horse slaughter then
abandonment and neglect have in increased by 50% according to Alison Rowe attorney

Yugoslavia Essay
One of the youngest nations of Europe, Yugoslavia was created after World War I as a
homeland for several different rival ethnic groups. The country was put together mostly
from remnants of the collapsed Ottoman Empire and Austria Hungary. Demands for self
determination by Slovenes, Croats, Serbs, and others were ignored. Yugoslavia thus
became an uneasy association of peoples conditioned by centuries of ethnic and religious
hatreds. World War II aggravated these rivalries, but Communist dictatorship after the war
controlled them for 45 years. When the Communist system failed, the old rivalries
reasserted themselves; and in the early 1990s the nation was rent by secessionist

communication. Military measures seek to demilitarize politics and transform cultures of
violence through disarmament, demobilization, establishing law and order, and
rebuilding military and police forces. Ramsbotham also identifies a fourth tenant not
mentioned in the paper s question but equally important, social measures. Social
measures seek to heal psychological wounds and facilitate reconciliation by building trust
and inter communal dialog. Together these lines of effort replace lost essential
infrastructure, rebuild manufacturing capability to support the population, and construct
the framework for a state to thrive. (Week 3 Lecture, 3) Yet despite the different goals in
each of the categories, they are far from disconnected in practice. Political, economic,
and military tools are as intertwined as their counterparts in a Realists Balance of Power
system. In The Balance of Power in International Relations, Richard Little describes
power as a function of the size of the population and territory, resource endowment,
economic capability, military strength, political stability and competence. (Little, 174)

The Role Of Muckrakers In The 20th Century
Today s commonplace calling out of unfair practises in business and government owes
its foundation to Muckrakers in the early 20th century. Muckraking in contrast it is
the exposing of the foulest of conditions that need exposure to bring out change. In the
early 1900 s laws for health concerns did not exist in the workplace, So businesses
would cut corners. Any concerns hidden from the public are leaked out by Muckrakers
who investigated a specific workplace. Restrictions were close to none in the early
1900 s meaning anything was okay to do without approval. Businesses would do what
was most convenient and profitable for their company. Laborers and employees would
keep any faulty actions in the workplace hidden to stay employed, For
Persuasive Speech On Yoga
The winter has ended and it may be the time to get rid of our winter bodies. Admit it,
girl, we all become a little lazy during those cold months. Worry not because every time
is the right time to start exercising.
It s okay if you don t like going to the gym because, luckily, there re less intense ways of
kicking in some workouts. For example, yoga.
I m sure you ve heard of yoga, maybe you even know someone who goes to yoga classes
every week. Nonetheless, yoga is the type of workout everyone should try at least once.
It s good for both your body and mind. I mean, it s mostly about that stress relief that we
all need.
Before you get to actual training, there re few things you must invest in in order to
exercise comfortably. For instance, a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When it comes to support, it doesn t matter if you re taking regular or hot yoga. The
difference is only in the thickness of the material that the bra is made of. The most
important thing to pay attention to is comfort. Yoga is all about relaxation and you need
the right type of equipment for that. You must feel comfortable while working out;
therefore, you must choose that right bra. Us, girls, can agree on one thing and that s
the occasional discomfort of regular, everyday bras. Of course, that means you should in

This anomalous transport degrades the plasma performance of the fusion device.
Therefore, the study of characteristics of plasma turbulence (onset from unstable plasma
conditions, nonlinear saturations, etc.) has been the most important endeavor in fusion
plasma physics for decades. A thorough understanding of this problem is still far from
completeness, given the complexity and difficulty of the problem. ( removed HTML ) (

fluid turbulence where vortex vortex interaction provides spectral transport of

enough, it contains sufficient degrees of complication and physics contents to study
plasma wave turbulence. Thus, studies of wave turbulence in the HM model can provide
insights into turbulence dynamics and its consequence in determining plasma transport
in magnetized plasmas. Therefore, many direct numerical simulations as well as analytic
studies have been carried out using the HM model for the past decades. (

David s Un Happy Ending
Loneliness is a central theme governing the interactions of the characters pertaining to
the novel, Giovanni s Room. David s words are a source of wisdom for why loneliness
so frequently follows the actualization of love. He says, With this fearful intimation there
opened in me a hatred for Giovanni which was as powerful as my love and which was
nourished by the same roots (p 84). Baldwin perhaps is trying to hint at the thin line
separating what we perceive as love from that which we perceive as hate. Similarly, we
can identify these components within the pages of Baldwin s novel.
In David, we find a most emphatically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

  • 2. Barium Swallow Case Study Barium Swallow A barium swallow is an X ray exam that is used to evaluate the area at the back of your throat (pharynx) and the tube that carries food and liquid from your mouth to your stomach (esophagus). For this exam, you will swallow a white chalky liquid called barium. X rays are done while the barium passes through your pharynx and esophagus. The barium makes it easier for your health care provider to see possible problems in this area. A barium swallow may be done to check for various problems, such as: Ulcers. Tumors. Inflammation of the esophagus. Hiatal hernia. This is a condition in which the upper portion of the stomach protrudes into the chest cavity. Scarring. Blockages. Problems with the muscular... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You will likely drink the barium through a straw. During the procedure, the X ray table may be moved to a more upright angle. You may also be asked to shift your position on the table. This will allow your entire esophagus to be viewed. The health care provider will watch the barium flow through your esophagus using a type of X ray that allows images to be viewed on a monitor in a movie like sequence (fluoroscopy). X ray images will also be stored for later viewing. AFTER THE PROCEDURE You can return to your regular activities and diet unless instructed otherwise by your health care provider. Your stool (feces) may be white or gray for 2 3 days until all the barium has passed out of your body in your stool. You may be given a laxative to take in order to help remove the barium from your body. Your health care provider may recommend other things to help prevent constipation after this procedure, including: в—‹ Drinking enough fluid to keep your urine clear or pale yellow. в—‹ Eating foods that have a lot of fiber, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and beans. • 3. Biography Of Auguste Rodin s The Gates Of Hell Auguste Rodin has a number of awe inspiring pieces, ranging in medium, size, and location. Outside the massive cluster in Paris, they pop up in the most unusual places, such as Philadelphia, Seoul, Tokyo, and Raleigh. What is even more interesting is that many of Rodin s pieces were designed to be part of a single great piece, a massive pair of doors, intended for an art museum that grew into something much more. This piece is Rodin s Gates of Hell. The gates are particularly significant to the world of art, not only for the sculptural mastery they display, but also for being a rather revolutionary piece in regards to the physical build and the emotion provocation. They display the characteristic Rodin flair for emotional content, perhaps... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In his creation techniques, Rodin used a casting technique, where he would first make the sculpture out of clay or plaster, and then it to someone else to be cast and glazed into the blackened bronze look he is so well known for. Perhaps this spare time allowed him to create more prolifically, as he made multiple copies of many pieces, ranging in size. He would also often also combine separate pieces with modification to create a new piece, many of which are well known. His gates are remarkable because of this dedication, taking the typical relief method of only having only slight amounts of depth created, to having the surface of the gates roiling with sinners pulling away from the slab, their bodies protruding outwards. Theses gates excluded a number of motifs from a variety of places, which leads, in turn, back to speculation on the influences Rodin had while designing them. The main influences on the gates include Rodin s personal and professional life, The Inferno, and artists and writers of the times. A relief is a sculpture done on a slab, with rationally layer being taken away or added to create depth, without any main protrusions from the slab. Casting is a complex process, but ultimately results in in a hollow metal replica of the sculpted. The pieces are ground down to remove any imperfections, then finished with coats of metal oxides, known as a patina, that react with the bronze and produces the
  • 4. Rett Syndrome Analysis Rett Syndrome (RTT) is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder caused by a mutation of a gene found on the X chromosome; it have been thought that RTT was exclusively found in females, but a limited number of males with RTT have been reported (Renieri et al, 2003). Unlike females, who have two X chromosomes, males only have one X chromosome. Because males lack a backup copy of the X chromosome that can compensate for a faulty one, RTT is often fatal to males (Katz et al, 2012). Prior research has shown that a mutation in the methyl CpG binding protein 2 (MeCP2) gene predominantly causes RTT (Forbes Lorman et al, 2014). The MeCP2 gene holds the information for the production of the protein methyl cytosine binding protein 2 (MeCP2), which is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Reduction in brain and neuronal sizes with an increase in cell density is consistently observed in several brain regions of patients with RTT (Calfa et al, 2015). These areas include the cerebral cortex, hypothalamus and the hippocampal formation (Belichenko et al, 2009). According to Belichenko (2009) dendritic morphology of neurons has been observed in a number of neurodevelopmental disorders, including RTT. An autoradiography done in the frontal cortex and basal ganglia of individuals affected by RTT have shown complex abnormalities in the density of glutamate receptors such as NMDA (N methyl d aspartate), AMPA (О± amino 3 hydroxy 5 methyl 4 isoxazolepropionic acid), kainate and metabotropic receptors (Blue et al, 1999).The prefrontal cortex of girls who were 2 8 year old had increased NMDA receptors as compared to 10 year old girls who had reduced NMDA receptors. Receptor density was dependent on age of the patient (Blue et al, 1999). Changes in the neurons, such as decreased dendrites and decreased dendritic spine numbers are observed; particularly, changes in the hippocampal CA1 pyramidal neurons are shown (Chapeau et al, 2012). When compared to an age matched control, researchers noticed that RTT affected patients had lower dendritic spine density in their
  • 5. Relation Between Phoneme And Morphology 3.Phoneme and morpheme relationship. The relation between phonemes and grammatical units such as morphemes and words is therefore an aspect of the interface between Phonology and morphology. Both Phonology and Morphology study various aspects in languages all over the world. Considering the similarities of these fields, both are engaged in the scientific analysis of languages. Both are branches of Linguistics and without studying Phonology, one cannot move on to Morphology. Hence, there is an inter relationship between these branches. For differences, Phonology essentially concentrates on the sound systems of a language while Morphology pays attention to the word and the morphemes of a language. The /t/ in top is aspirated, but the /t/ in stop is not. These are two variations in pronunciation of the same underlying phoneme /t/. There is no pair of English words top [aspirated] and top [unaspirated]; it s always either one or the other (and it is predictable which one is required). Allomorphs are two or more realizations of a single underlying morpheme. For example, the past morpheme ed in English. There are really three different ways this is realized phonetically: /t/ in helped, /d/ in opened, or /id/ in wanted. Again, it is predictable which one is required, but all three of these are manifestations of the same morpheme ed . Therefore, the main difference between the two is that allophones include several ways to pronounce a single phoneme. Allomorphs include several ways to pronounce a single morpheme. 4.The concept of

  • 7. The First Day Summary From research and observation, school is a privilege, and school is also something that we, as a nation, often take for granted. School has not always been mandatory or free and not everyone was able to become educated. In the story The First Day, a young five year old child tells the story of her first day of kindergarten, accompanied by her mother. Her mother seemed proud and confident, dressing her daughter in the best clothes, with the best hairstyle, even though they did not have much, ensuring her daughter would attend school. The narrator, which is the child, reveals something about her mother; she was unable to read nor right and was unable to fill out the paperwork necessary to have her daughter enrolled. They were forced to ask for help and the child for the first time notices the faces of the other parents and finally sees her mother in a different light. The author describes the child s clothes on the morning of school in much detail, signifying its importance, I am wearing a checkered like blue and green cotton dress and scattered about these colors are bits of yellow and white and brown. She goes on to explain her mother s uncharacteristic focus on her hair, making sure everything was perfect. This idea is somewhat of a symbol and shows a focus on the child s mother and how she views school. She emphasized this day, signifying to her daughter the importance of going to school and that she should associate school with excitement. By reading the text the

The wholesalers whose business is connected only to books, journals and newspapers are generally considered to be speciality wholesalers. Speciality wholesaler is the one that specializes in one product line (or a few product lines) but carries the line or lines in considerable depth (MONASH Marketing Dictionary 2004). This type of wholesaler can have products from various suppliers, but the product type or industry is the same. If the body undergoes this kind of evolution, it will not know how to cope with the changes and adapt to it in time. The body will start shutting down the production of testosterone because it has a sufficient supply coming from an outside source. Once the body stops moving it will permanently shut down and the abusers will have to supply themselves with more hormones from an outside source so that their body will create more hormones for the body to maintain itself. The actors within the structure grant the authority to the institutions they trust and choose to obey. Rod Rhodes, in his work on theorizing the problems of governance, outlines that it is not possible to discuss the problems of governance without further specification of its sphere. From the early 90s, the problems of governance have been mostly discussed within the schools of political science. The enlargement of the EU and the increasing interdependence of the member states triggered the academic interest towards the distinct structures of the European governance. In this light, a number of analysts began to address the question of how should the relations between the member states and the European institutions be examined in the framework of EU governance. Some emerging approaches for considering these relations will be discussed in the sections below. 2.3.1. Top down and bottom up approaches to the EU governance There are numerous approaches to study the issues of European governance and the relations between its actors. Some analysts use top down approaches and others bottom up approaches in addressing questions concerning power relations between the EU and its member states. According to

Over numerous decades this soon developed into present days use of large scale dredging. The establishment of aerial ropeways to transport minerals for processing to Dunwich began in 1956 where the commencement of dredge miningwas initiated. Only a decade later, the concentrations of the rich black mineralbeing mined were exhausted to the point that the miners moved their operations to the fore dunes. Under a presidential system the executive and legislative branches are separated so that it is easier to distribute power equally and ensure that those in power are held accountable. Although they don t hold checks and balances , under a parliamentary system , the government can be more effective when they do not separate the executive and legislative branches. This allows the government to accomplish more because they can pass more legislations faster. It is more difficult to pass policies under a presidential system because, unlike in parliamentary systems, they are unable to produce comprehensive proposals in a promptly manner. Still, problems can arise in parliamentary systems. For example, there may be immobilism in parliamentary systems, similar to the deadlocks in presidential systems, which could cause a delay in the process of making legislations. It is also more difficult to fix problems between the legislative and executive branches in a presidential system because each side will continue to fight over the power to pass laws and adjust it in the way they want. If the legislative branches are weakened, there is more probability of presidentialism failing than parliamentarism. Therefore, implementing a parliamentary executive structure could be an effective
