The Bay Of Pigs Case Study
The Bay of Pigs The plan Kennedy had was to overthrow Fidel Castro of the Cuban government, but
the plan went horribly wrong. Now that it has happened, and we know what went wrong I will tell you
some things that could have helped it go right. First off, I think that having someone on the ground
planning were to drop the bombs would have prevent the deaths of the seven innocent civilians killed
in the bombing. If it was mapped out they wouldn t have died, and the plan would have been more
successful. Another thing Kennedy could have done was had it planned on a different day because the
invaders had to go through bad weather and work with soggy equipment. This would have helped
them be more prepared for the mission. These are only a few things

Piccasso s Life
In regard to his artistic gift, Piccasso s early life was both promising and disheartening. It was
promising because Picasso was a son of an artist, though not as talented, he was an important facet in
developing Picasso s gift by providing the necessary tools to harness it. Additionally,
His sister Lola, three years younger, challenged him to create drawings, requesting, for example, that
he draw a dog or a donkey, beginning from any body part such as an ear or a paw (Blum 268).
The drawing challenges the sister gave enabled Picasso to have better mastery of the canvas and to
draw from different angles. The author suggests that his sister was key to developing his versatility of
spatial repositioning of his art. However, in a negative twist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

One can hardly understand the mystery in painting drawings that imply blindness in matters presented
in the artwork bearing in mind that Picasso was an artist who had the sense of sight (Blum 275).
However, The blind figures tend to evoke compassion, pity, and sadness, and perhaps reassure the
spectators that they do not share in this misfortune. Yet all art has elements of ambiguity, and each
spectator has a personal perception and response that may change with each exposure to the work of
art (Blum 275). Blindness symbolizes desperation and misfortune since it is not a standard feature for
everyone hence Picasso finds it fascinating to deliver his message of self pity and sadness in a manner
that captures the attention of the spectator. However, the author presumes that Picasso may have
unconsciously developed a failure attitude, which led him to use the theme of blindness to evoke the
compassion of his spectators enabling him to triumph the period of limited appreciation. Consistently,
The old Guitarist is bent over his instrument, immersed in the auditory sphere of music, a rhapsody in
blue , so important for the blind (Blum 281). Picasso precociously outlines the importance of other
sensory perceptions, such as hearing, to complement blindness and that is why the old Guitarists bends
to make out the audio tune of his music.

Male Presence In The Awakening
The lack of male presence symbolizes their disdain in the women s lives. As portrayed in the book, the
protagonist and other major characters are all females, suggesting self sufficiency. The author writes
about the women being left by their husbands, but moves on, depicting male triviality. The female
characters also develop their independence when they rely on each other during difficult times. The
main character and other major characters receive very little help from men, which depicts their
independence. The men have vacated from their lives, leaving an obstacle, which debates the women s
response to the inconvenience. Instead, they invigoratingly maneuver their mentality, verifying their
capabilities. One character, specifically, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This can be shown through interactions with some of the female characters. The pairs: Lou Ann and
Taylor, Mrs. Parsons and Edna Poppy, Taylor and Mattie, clearly depicts their support for each other.
Lou Ann and Taylor builds their relationship when Taylor adjusts to raising Turtle, while Mrs. Parsons
supports Edna with her disadvantage. Yet what correlates the most is Taylor and Mattie s relationship.
This can be most seen when Taylor consults to Mattie about Turtle. Even with this on her mind, she
spent a lot of time talking with me about Turtle. She told me some things I didn t know...Do I think it
would be interesting, maybe even enjoyable in the long run, to share my life with this kid and give her
my best effort and maybe, when all s said and done, end up with a good friend (Kingsolver 239).
When Taylor debates a life changing choice of adopting Turtle, she discusses it with Mattie. In the
process, Mattie offers exquisite advice, showing Taylor could always seek Mattie for advice. In the
process, Mattie depicts herself as a motherly figure to Taylor which bolsters Taylor s adoration for
Mattie. The women in the story represent the strong relationships people could build with each

Media In Contemporary Society
The media plays an essential role in contemporary society. Media is presented all around us, from
what we read in magazines, to the articles we read on the internet. Additionally, the public sphere , a
theory created by Jurgen Habermas, is an area in which citizens come together to discuss ideas
relating to social and political problems, and through this, influence political action. Jurgen Habermas
(1984) defines the public sphere as a realm of our social life in which something approaching public
opinion can be formed. Access is guaranteed to all citizens. Access to all people is beneficial because
it allows people who previously did not have a say, talk about political concerns and social issues,
which when putting them to debate, may benefit them for the future. The public sphere takes place
when citizens, exercising the rights of assembly and association, gather as public bodies to discuss
issues of the day, specifically those of political concern (Peter Dahlgren, p.7). Furthermore, he also
claims a decline in the public sphere due to mass media. The public sphere is different to the media
because it allows for communication and debate, whereas the media does not. It s a two way system.
Habermas was born in 1929, a very chaotic time as this was time was the growth in fascism. All left
wing writers had to leave Germany in the 1930s, as their views reflected a Marxist interpretation of
society. Throughout this essay will be focusing on the interests role within the

A long distance move can be very challenging because at times you are required to leave a few things
behind or throw a few things away. Getting rid of things can be very hard so considering a storage
facility would be the best option because this will offer you around the clock security to keep your
items safe and not have to worry about losing it or having to get rid of it. Moving is more than just
packing your stuff in boxes Moving is not as easy as just packing your things in boxes and just
moving. There are so many other things to consider when moving like how you will transport your big
and heavy items from your old place, to your new place this requires big vehicles in order for you to
move your items or belongings. You might have a car big enough to fit things like your clothes or your
television but you need a much bigger vehicle to move your beds, your shofars or even your
refrigerator. A removal company will not only take the weight of your shoulders of you having to
carry heavy things, but they will provide you with a vehicle that is big enough to transport your
belongings from point A to point B. If there is any reason that your house is not being big enough or
not being ready to take all your belongings, you can also arrange for your belongings to be placed in a
storage facility. Wills Removals and Storage is a company that has built up over the course of the last

Mrs Dalloway Mental Illness
Lacey Gross ENGL 2100 J. Sisk March 16, 2017 WWI Aftermath in Mrs. Dalloway Virginia Woolf s
novel, Mrs. Dalloway, addresses the issues with shell shocked WWI veterans. Septimus Smith is one
of the main characters that showcases what PTSD was like back then. Virginia Woolf showcases how
society lacked the understanding of why soldiers came back different than before through characters
such as Sir William Bradshaw and Dr. Holmes. Propaganda from the war also led to society not being
able to understand the problems veterans faced when they came home. Septimus is tortured with
flashabacks of the war and his officer Evan being killed. Due to this, he has shut himself off from
everyone and tries not to think of the war (53). The author uses Septimus ... Show more content on

In their scene at the park, Rezia uses many means to distract Septimus from his reflections by pointing
out planes and a troop of boys playing cricket (22 23). While having little to no understanding on her
husband s condition, she is the most willing to help him adjust back to normal life. Woolf uses
characters like Dr. Holmes and Sir William Bradshaw to criticize many of the doctors after the war for
pushing aside soldiers suffering from shell shock and claiming, there was nothing whatever the matter
(72). She also addresses her displeasure with the treatment of mental illnesses, depression, and other
psychological conditions that were ignored by doctors. This could stem from Woolf also being
afflicted by many psychological problems throughout her life. In Jean M. Wyatt s Mrs. Dalloway:
Literary Allusion as Structural Metaphor, she explains that the reason Septimus ended his life was
because he saw an innocence and life in Rezia that he no longer possessed and decided that by
committing suicide he was giving society a kind of renewal (443). His war experience, like that of
many soldiers, shattered his perception of life and left fragments of it so deeply instilled in his life
after the war that it impaired his ability to regain his past perceptions of life

Animal Shelters and the No Kill Movement
Nationally, roughly four million animals are killed in shelters every year. Of these, roughly 95% of all
shelter animals are healthy and treatable. (No Kill Advocacy Center). No animal should have to ever
be a part of these awful statistics. What will it take to help save these innocent animals from being
killed senselessly? Animal kill shelters are horrible, inhumane, and overall completely unnecessary for
multiple reasons: No Kill shelters improve adoption rates, all animals lives are valuable, and No Kill
shelters save more money than other shelters. Why Waste a Valuable Life? Killing and disposing of
animals because there is no room available for them is unnecessary and inhumane. A shelter is usually
a place where something or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another question that comes to mind is if No Kill animal shelters are actually the solution or not.
Some pounds will kill as many as 90% of the animals they redeem and that owners hand over. But on
the other hand countless pounds are lessening their kill rates of adoptable animals to 0% (Animals).
Death should never be the solution when it comes to the lives of these powerless animals. Why Kill
When You Can Adopt? Usually when others are given the choice between a kill shelter and a No Kill
shelter the answer is almost always the No Kill shelter. What if each animal shelter in the United
States were to swap to No Kill shelters and if all the services and programs that help run No Kill
shelters were available? Well the United States would emancipate roughly four million cats and dogs
who are scheduled to die painfully in shelters this year, and the many years to come after that. This
dream is a dream that is not completely impossible to achieve (No Kill Advocacy Center). Why are
animals given a certain time line to be adopted when animals have the same right to life just as
humans do? Many passionate people feel the same way and that kill shelters are completely
unnecessary. The ASPCA has its own program called Mission Orange. This program works with
communities to help raise the shelter save rate by 10% a year so that it can accomplish a 75% save
rate by 2010 ( Animal Shelters and the No Kill

Successful Aging Essay
Successful aging can be defined in many different ways. Throughout the semester we have talked
about many different aspects of aging that help define the success within the process. We have
discussed the neurosciences of aging, the physical changes associated with aging, the longevity and
intelligence of individuals in relation to their life and abilities while aging, how relationships and work
can change as one ages, and how aging affects ones personality. After reading Childhood Misfortune
as a Threat to Successful Aging: Avoiding Disease and Successful Aging and Well Being: Self Rated
Compared With Rowe and Kahn, I have a better understanding of the objective and subjective view of
aging in relation to childhood factors.
Schafer and Ferraro define successful aging in a more objective way, stating that successful aging is
the avoidance of disease and disability, high cognitive and physical functioning, and engagement
within life (Schafer, M. H., Ferraro, K. F. 2011). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This article provided the new definition of successful aging from Rowe and Kahn that I agree with
much more than the older version. This definition states that successful aging includes the absence of
disease, maintaining physical/mental functioning, and active engagement in life (Strawbridge, W. J.,
Wallhagen, M. I., Cohen, R. D. 2002). I feel this is a much better definition that the original definition
in the previous article because it is not only taking into account the physical aspect of aging, but the
mental. In class we have talked about the importance of involvement in ones community to successful
aging. I know that from my childhood trauma that I was closed off to my environment for a while
because of the pain. Therefore according to this definition, I may not have aged successful because I

The Battle Of Tippecanoe By William Henry Harrison
The Battle of Tippecanoe was one of the major steps towards the War of 1812. It took place on
November 8, 1811, in a clearing near Prophet s Town. It was also perhaps one of the most
controversial battles in the War of 1812. Although a peace treaty had been made one day prior before
the Battle of Tippecanoe, the Native Americans attacked, which caused the American soldiers to fight
back, who were led by General William Henry Harrison. The Native Americans had been led by
Tecumseh, a Shawnee Indian Chief. The Battle of Tippecanoe was a controversial battle which the
Natives Americans started, and ultimately, lost.
Tecumseh was a Shawnee Indian chief who had been born around 1768 near Springfield, Ohio.
During the early 1800s, he started to oppose the United States, and attempted to create a confederation
of Indian Tribes to rebel against the United States. One of the main reasons Tecumseh opposed the
United States was the fact that white people were squatting on Native American land, and was forcing
his people out. Although Tecumseh opposed whites, he knew how to speak their language. Tecumseh
was described as a six foot tall man with fine features. He had been rumored to be fluent in English,
and most surprisingly, also in French. He also managed to turn his brother s religious teachings into
political movements in order to get his fellow Native Americans to support his movement. [Collins, pg

Tecumseh s brother, the Prophet, was not nearly as famous.

An Intentional Tort Action Against A Grape Producer
This is an intentional tort action against a grape producer involving a breach contract between my

Allen M. Linden Tort laws have a noble mission and opportunity to help people in trouble. The injured
and the bereaved desperately require tort lawyers to help them retake whatever is left of their lives that
can be retaken with money (Linden, 2005). I seek restitution for compensatory damages for loss of
revenue, pain and suffering due to the broken contract. As well as, to make my company whole again
and place it back in the financial position it was before the breach occurred. This intentional tort has
caused harm to the economic interests of my company (Kubasek, Brennan, Browne, 2015). The
family produce company started selling my health foods products business Muscadine grapes and
sales grew at a rapid rate. I have become dependent on the distributor to deliver the product and the
price and rate that he has in the past. However, upon being faced with an opportunity to do business

leaving me out to find another distributor, potentially more expensive.

Emmett Till Reflection
1. The whole story and trial of Emmett Till was probably one of the most saddest stories I have heard
about. What surprised me most is the reason why they killed Emmett. This just showed how much
blacks were looked down upon. Nowadays, women get whistled at all the time by all different types of
men. This is just a rude gesture to whistle at a women, however we wouldn t brutally murder them.
What also surprised me was how they killed him. The murderers did not have to savagely kill him.
This changed my view on history and actually opened my eyes. I think we need to be better educated
on the subject that everybody tries to ignore.
2. During the trial, businesses put out jars to collect money for the defense of the two murderers. This
shows that everyone was on the murderers side. The community views the white race as the superior
race, and that is why the murderers were not guilty. Society then, was not a time that we should be

question. As children, we do not understand what we are doing, but we should know right from wrong
and laughing at someone, pretending to kill them is unacceptable. I would expect them to answer what
it meant to do that and I think they would explain that they were only kids and that it was a different
time and society in 1955. I would expect them to answer how they felt about race growing with
obviously saying that the colored people were looked down on. If they were to do that now in 2015,
they probably would not do that in the first place, it is a completely different time period and everyone

The Advantages And Disadvantages Of P2p File Sharing Systems
ABSTRACT
Peer to peer (P2P) file sharing systems are becoming increasingly popular due to their flexibility and
scalability. A peer to peer, or P2P, file transfer service allows the user to share computer files through
the Internet. Examples of P2P services include KaZaA, Grokster, Gnutella, Morpheus, and BearShare.
This document is about the peer to peer file sharing technology. It discusses about what peer to peer
technology and file sharing is. It also states the pros and cons of the peer to peer file sharing and how
Network coding is useful to overcome the disadvantages of the traditional p2p file sharing
technology, also discusses some network coding based p2p file sharing and Microsoft Avalanche.

Describe The Elements Of The Business Environment That...
P1
Introduction
In this unit I will talk about the different elements of the economic environment that have significant
impact on businesses such as British Airways. I will explain how exactly they influence the economic
environment.
Economic environment
Every country has its economy which has features that can be measured in many various ways to
comprehend how they are evolving. These different features will allow us to describe changes in a
distinct business which in this case is British Airways. The economic environment of a country has a
meaningful effect on its business, as the trade that is happening between that country and other
countries affect how much money is passing in and out of the country. This than affects the cost of
goods and prices.
British Airways
British Airways is the flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom. It is the biggest airline in the UK
based. British Airways was considered the largest UK airline by passenger numbers from its creation
in 1974 until 2008 when it was replaced by low cost rival EasyJet. Since its origin, British Airways
has been centred at its main core at London Heathrow Airport, with a second major heart at London
Gatwick Airport. The British Airways Board was formed in 1971 to control the policy and finances of
the two large London based airline corporations, British Overseas Airways Corporation and British
European Airways Corporation with two much smaller regional airlines, Cambrian Airways and
Northeast Airlines.

Creon The Tragic Hero In The Play Antigone

her pride, or Ismene with her fear. Personally, I believe that Creon is the tragic hero. Creon has three
big harmartias. Those three are: pride, stubbornness, and fear. Throughout the whole play, Creon is too
busy worrying about what people think of him instead of thinking about family. Unfortunately, it was
too late for Creon to change his mistakes. Creon s biggest hamartia is pride. After Creon finds out that

Where/what is the research site? The site for this study will be a local high school with both female
and male learners with Special Education Needs (SEN) and learning disability. The research will
target or focus on one of the schools with a high number of disabled students to ensure the statistics
taken are more conclusive for the study. Together with the school administration, 9 12th grade
teachers, students, and counselors we will attempt to come up with the best and efficient mode of
conducting the research. Addressing the issue of young people with disabilities requires the inclusion
of a larger audience such as the students, teachers, and administrators (Supports Center, 2004).
According to Milsom, counselor s assigned the role of preparing students for the job and life outside
school has failed to adequately present the disabled students with skills to cope with life after school

relation of the information and survival in the outside world. The study will collect data by asking the
students questions related to survival outside the school and rate students according to the level of
preparedness. Through such information, the research can offer a clear understanding of the issue to
be discussed as well as the culture in the schools today concerning their ability to prepare learners for

Analyze The Impact Of Terrorism On American Culture
Throughout the world, terrorism affects cultures in a myriad of ways. The United States Department
of Defense defines terrorism as, the calculated use of violence or the threat of violence to inculcate
fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are
generally political, religious, or ideological (DOD). Terrorism has emerged in the last ten years as one
of the most crucial issues governments attempt to tackle. Many movies and documents can help
people better understand the major strain of terrorism. As seen by the effects of the September
eleventh attacks on American security, tourism and economy, the Taliban, and Somali piracy, terrorism
has had an utmost impact on the world. September eleventh, 2001 was a tragic day for not only the
people of New York, but around the world. These attacks would shape America s security, tourist
industry, and the economy. The most immediate change was airport security, which is fully visible to
this day ( Doc. 1). Congress federalized airport security by passing the Aviation and Transportation

How McCabe and Mrs Miller and Blade Runner Subvert Their Genres and Defy Audience
Expectations
Two genres which have always been Hollywood staples are science fiction and the western. The
genres can be seen in films made as early as Le Voyage Dans la lune (Georges Melies 1902) and The
Great Train Robbery (Edwin S. Porter 1903). On the surface the two genres are very different,
however if one looks closely at them they are similar in many ways. Both genres usually feature
uncharted frontiers, strong silent protagonists, frightening savages (played by either space aliens or
Native Americans) and damsels in distress. The formula for these two genres was established many
decades ago and in recent years it takes a film that defies and ... Show more content on

One important change from traditional western is the cold, the film is set in winter in a cold climate
and Beatty goes around bundled up like a bear in a thick fur coat. The viewer can almost feel the wind
whipping through the poorly built houses and the residents shivering. Altman features the snow and
the weather prominently in his film, this is in stark contrast to a traditional western which takes place
in a warm state and in which the climate is rarely an issue. Another difference is the way in which
Altman peoples his film with realistic characters whose flaws he makes clear to the audience. This is
not an idealized west peopled by beautiful looking movie stars, even Beatty, sporting a thick beard,
and Christie are willing to look less attractive than usual for their parts. The people who live in Altman
s West have had difficult lives. They have poor hygiene and poor social skills. These realistic
characters include the workers McCabe uses to build his whorehouse as well as the whores he first
brings to town, while Altman treats these people sympathetically and their appearance and actions are
realistic it is clear that they are not prime examples of human beauty, intelligence and cleanliness. This
use of realistic characters is not always the case in idealized westerns such as High Noon (Fred
Zinneman 1952) starring the movie star lawman Gary Cooper (Will

to protect his client and it gives us an idea of the numerous strategies that he would have to adopt to
prove his client in the right. Further, the paper is also a discussion upon facts as to whether an
Attorney can purposely cross question a witness, and mislead the court just to prove his client not
guilty. Here the main purpose of the argument starts with the fact whether a defense attorney is
ethically right when he decides to purposely cross examine the prosecutor s witness just to mislead the
court, when he knows that the witness is saying the truth, and does so only to discredit his answers.
From time immemorial lawyers have been condemned and thought of as conniving people. As early as
the biblical times writers have been condemning lawyers. The great satirist, Jonathan Swift had in his
book Gulliver s Travels in 1726 stated that there was a society of men among us, bred up from their
youth in the art of proving by words multiplied for the purpose that white is black and black is white,
according as they are paid. To this society all rest of the people is slaves. It can be stated that the real
reason to conduct Cross Examination is to find answers to questions of fact.

Looking Backward By Edward Bellamy, And Fahrenheit 451
Have you ever wondered what a perfect world would be like? To you it could mean no more war, no
more poverty, every person of every race and gender being treated exactly the same. However, to
someone else their idea of a perfect world could be the complete opposite of what you would want. In
Looking Backward by Edward Bellamy, and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury the idea of a perfect
world is not just an idea anymore, it becomes reality. Nevertheless, both books perfect world are
completely different from one another. The theme of both books is to try and find that perfect world,
and maintain it. While there are many may differences between the two, the underlying truth still
remains the same. In Bellamy s novel, we start out in the late nineteenth century. Julian West, the main
character, was born into an aristocratic family. Just as the rest of his class did, Julian thought of
himself to be a higher rated citizen to the rest of the population. Julian had everything, even his fiancé
Edith was an aristocrat, and together they felt as if they could take on the world. The gap between the
rich and the poor sometimes affected the rich just as much as it did the poor. The two were to get
married as soon as their house was finished, but strikes from the poor construction workers were
prolonging that process. Julian had been suffering from insomnia all of his life, so he hired a hypnotist
to help him get his sleep. He even went to the extent to build a secret underground chamber

What Is Stop And Frisk
What is stop and frisk? Who uses stop and frisk? According to Haq stop and frisk is a program that
enables a police officer to stop, question, and frisk a person for weapons (1). This means that a police
officer can only search someone if they possess reasonable suspicion and follow their guidelines.
People should have open ideas of ways of reducing gun violence and not closing before hearing the
proposals. People say that stop and frisk promote racial profiling and that it invades one s privacy
rights. Police officer are human being and make mistakes because no one is perfect in this Earth. Gun
violence has been a main subject now a day, where you hear it on the news about a school shooting.
Stop and frisk are an effective way to bring down crime rates in one s city yet some people may think
otherwise and think it s not acceptable. The practice of stop and frisk is necessary to protect the people
and to be capable to reduce crime off the streets; without it crime rates like gun violence would
increase drastically. In James Q. Wilson essay Just Take Away Their Guns he argues that restraining
citizens from purchasing guns legally don t have any effect on those who purchase firearms illegally.
For example legal constraints on the lawful purchase of guns will have little effect on the illegal use of
guns (Wilson 125). Wilson is saying that it will be tough to find the illegal firearms purchased and
people would always find a way to buy guns illegally. There is no way the

Spanish American War 98 Analysis
In 1898, the United States intervened in a conflict in which Cuba was attempting to gain independence
from Spain. The United States interposed their selves after a Naval ship, the USS Maine, was
destroyed. The journalism at the time, yellow journalism to be specific, blamed Spain for the sinking
of the battleship, and so the United States decided to step in. John Lukacs, an American Hungarian
author, wrote The Meaning of 98 as an examination of the crucial parts of and leading up to The
Spanish American War. In this article, Lukacs states the events in 1898 that America inserted
themselves in and, set in motion the first American Century.
The Spanish American war was a quick one, but important as well. What started off as a guerrilla ...

Lukacs called the war a blessing in disguise for Spain and their pride. He states that some of the most
intellectual minds arrived close after the war (Lukacs 5). To rebuttal the blessing in disguise , the war
tore apart Spain. America was nice to them, but that is after the war and after they won. Once a team
wins, they can be nice all they want. But during the battle they fought hard (not that they needed to).
Although, after the war, Spain went nowhere but up. That was not a blessing in disguise , thats called
hitting an all time low. Once Spain hit rock bottom, they had nowhere to go but up. So it seems as if
the war helped Spain, but instead just put a different perspective on improving the country. After the
war, the United States decided not to combine with Cuba, but they did, however, add Hawaii as the
fifteenth state (Lukacs

Internal Analysis:
Strengths
Want successfully differentiates itself from its competitors through features such as taste, design, and
packaging. Want s relationship with its bottle manufacturer is an intangible benefit. They provide
Want with the opportunity to produce low volume quantities, given their current cash flow situation,
and allow flexible scheduling resulting in shorter lead time. Want has built a socially responsible

Tacos Research Paper
When asked about my favorite thing in the whole entire world, my mind is quickly filled with the taste
of the soft tortilla filled with my choice of meat, cilantro, onion, and salsa. Tacos are a traditional
Mexican dish but are eaten by everybody. A taco to us Mexicans is like a sandwich to Americans.
Anybody can eat tacos. It is not just a Mexican thing. These tasty tortillas filled with appetizing
elements are so cheap that they are found just about anywhere. Because of its deliciousness,
affordability, and easy access, tacos are my favorite. What makes tacos extra tasty is the variety we are
given. There is different type of meat that is offered like asada, al pastor, tongue, head, chicken, fish
and many for those hard to please eaters.

Jacksonian Era Essay
The Jacksonian Era (1824 1848)
Although the Age of Jackson wasn t a time era, which brought forth a great political, social, or
economic freedom and equality to the U.S., it did in fact put our country through a metamorphosis in
our political lives of the nation. The start of a new presidency (Jackson s presidency) was
accompanied by huge numbers of Hickoryites (Jacksonian supporters) and official hopefuls. Many of
these hopefuls were granted their desire of holding office, which is one of the changes brought into
Washington by Andrew Jackson.
The major accomplishments of Jackson during his presidency pertain to his rural upbringing and
democratic beliefs. To name a couple of Jackson s memorable accomplishments and decisions not ...

The selection of officials of Jackson was in many cases the return of a financial grant during
campaigning. The consideration of the ability to govern, have intelligence and responsibility etc. were
ignored in the wake of compensation. Although opposites alike were granted power they were not
always for the continuance of democracy.
Jackson was the most democratic of any president at that time to come to power. In practically all
areas of political application there was the existence of liberal thinking. This was especially apparent
in his previously mentioned appointment of officials. Jackson considered the roles of officials fairly
simple and could and should be carried out by all people not just the members of the socially and
intellectually elite. The belief of complete equality is with out a doubt Jacksonian. Despite this already
democratic view, Jackson took it one step further and appointed the illiterate and plain incompetent
members of society to office.
Tariffs plagued the president also many times, but the most remembered were the Tariff of
Abominations in 1828, and the tariff of 1832. South Carolina passed an Ordinance of Nullification,
and upset Jackson tremendously. They stated that those tariffs were null and void to South Carolina,
and it would be unlawful to collect for duties. They also had the nerve to warn the

What Makes an Organization Successful
I believe that in large measure what makes an organization successful in meeting the needs of its
various constituencies is its distinctiveness. Organizations that have strong and unique cultures
generally experience excellent performance which implies why many of the most successful
organizations today are thriving and growing because, in large part, of their unique and strong styles
and values towards corporate culture. Yet these same conditions pose a critical set of challenges but
yet retain the essential cultural elements that have made it attractive and resilient. More than ever,
successful organizations will need to develop learning and communication systems that will sustain
the kind of strong cultures that make them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This would provide various departments with a common language or set of terms with which they
could share their ideas and request information. And as work life becomes increasingly symbolic and
reality is indeed being constructed within people s minds, the organizations will be able to develop
and facilitate corrective actions towards self directed work teams rather than simply direct and control.
I furthermore believe that the same methodologies will work for both organizations through an
approach that promotes organizational design that goes beyond the quality circles or ad hoc problem
solving teams. I would recommend to these two organizations to reduce the process to individual steps
which will allow work to become restructured around the whole process instead of organizing work
based on the traditional model that reduces the required skill at every level of work, producing
boredom in the bottom level jobs and integrate a new system that connects the needs of the people
with the work to be done, and those closest to the jobs help design the job. This concept by the way of
designing the work system with the full participation of the people doing the work will contribute to
productivity breakthroughs for their organization for many years to come. www.businessjournal.com

Language As An Image Of Reality
Ashley Newman
Phil 422 Prof. Livingston Language as an Image of Reality
Wittgenstein s the Tractatus and Plato s Cratylus are two works that offer remarkably comparable
theories. The Tractatus uses propositions to establish a theory regarding language and Plato uses
names in the dialogue Cratylus to develop a similar theory. Using propositions and names,
respectively, the two philosophers develop arguments showing that there is an extreme parallel
between language and pictures. After Plato discloses the origination of names and Wittgenstein looks
at the composition of propositions, the two philosophers are able to assess the relation between names,
propositions and reality. The relation of names and propositions to reality leads ... Show more content

He determines that names are composed of smaller parts, letters and vowels, which correspond to the
elements that compose the thing it is naming. Socrates begins by focusing on first names. First names
are determined to be the names from which all other names are composed. If all other names come
from these first names though, how then are first names decided? This brings Socrates to acknowledge
the importance of breaking down these first names into their elemental forms of letters and syllables.
Because there are no names before first names that offer a way to name first names, he decides each
letter and syllable of a first name must correspond to an element of which it is composed. For example
h might correspond to being made of flesh.
He relates this concept of a name being composed of smaller things making up a whole to the art of
painting when he says, It s just the same as it is with painters. This is a parallel that is easy to

Visual Working Memory Essay
Dr. Brad Postle s research investigates activation and information processing in working memory and
attention. I did not realize that working memory could further be classified into visual working
memory. His research uses fMRI to detect relative brain activity level during visual working memory
tasks that require subjects to analyze speed and the direction of motion. I think it is clever that
neuroscience researchers virtually inflate brains to see the brain activation in all brain areas, including
sulci, which are otherwise somewhat difficult to visualize on a regular fMRI scan.
As expected, there is elevated activity in the primary visual cortex when presented with the stimuli.
Furthermore, brain activity in the visual cortex is similar

My Experience Of A Heartwarming Experience At A Bible Camp
I had a heartwarming experience this past summer at a Bible camp where I volunteer as a counselor. It
was my first year volunteering and I wanted all my campers to have a great time like I always did!
One of my campers was a young girl named Vivian. She had a rough start to the week. Vivian did not
want to do any of the activities, follow the rules and she walked without a buddy at all times.
Unfortunately on top of all this, Vivian was very accident prone. The first three days she had visited
the nurse twice. On one of these visits she was checked to see if she had a concussion. Needless to say,
she was not enjoying her time so far at camp that week.
After the hard start to the week, she was not wanting to be at camp anymore and wanted to go home.
My job was to make her feel better and want to have fun! I decided to have a talk with her one night
before bedtime. We talked about how she was feeling and she had told me that she was home sick. I
suggested that she wrote a letter to her family. She got very excited and wrote a letter, drew pictures,
and put one of her crafts in the envelope to send to her parents. This idea of mine that helped her feel
better gave her the confidence to confide in me. She started to talk to me and tell me stories about
things she did back home. This made her less home sick and let her go to sleep that night without any
problems. After this night her week at camp turned around and she only had a few small speed bumps
along the way.

Populations Affected by Disabilities or Homeless Populations. This is an assessment about Hickory
County, Missouri population. The goal is to assess the effects of disabilities or homeless influences
and the health literacy of a population. I choose this County because I have a lot of relative lives in
this area, and I have been over this county to visit them so many times. This is a very interesting
county for me to do a research on. For an accurate research data, there are several methods have been
utilized to obtain assessment data, including media resources, call the county public health
department, and run a search of articles from a local newspaper and records. Firstly, we will talk about
Hickory s demographics. Hickory County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the

0.76% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race (Hickory County, Missouri Free Public
Records Directory, 2017). The median income for a household in the county was $32,122 and the
median income for a family was $28,779. Males had a median income of $22,679 versus $17,610 for
females. The per capita income for the county was $18.153. About 13.00% of families and 19.70% of
the population were below the poverty line, including 32.90% of those under age 18 and 11.00% of
those age 65 or over (Total employer establishments, 2015). The average income of Hickory

SIR ALFRED HITCHCOCK
Filmmaker Sir Alfred Hitchcock was nicknamed The Master of Suspense . Hitchcock s films are
recognised for their thrilling plots revolving around violence, murder and crime. His distinctive
directorial style was a result of the unmistakeable presence of psychological suspense. Over the course
of his career which spanned over six decades, Hitchcock has directed more than 50 feature films.
PSYCHO BACKGROUND
Psycho is undeniably Hitchcock s masterpiece. It is definitely one of the most exceptional and
suspense filled thrillers in the history of cinema. Back in 1960 when this movie was released it set a

The shower scene is carefully crafted sequence of 78 pieces of film. It exhibits various camera
movements and transitions within a matter of seconds. This technique was totally unheard of in that
era. Psycho thereby ushered in a new era of cinematic horror. And cinema has not been the same ever
since.
There is a brief portrayal of sexual imagery in the frame as the camera cuts into a low angle shot and
Marion removes her bath robe. A crab shot, still maintaining a low angle, then tracks Marion as she
moves into the shower and pulls the curtain. Hint of vulnerability is dropped as Marion is now naked
which is soon followed by her horrific murder in the following shots. This is to impose empathy to the
audience as throughout the scene so far the camera had focused intently on Marion, following every
one of her movements, slowly constructing a sense fear and horror. This deeply impacts the audience
when she dies at the climax of this scene. The scene was shot with Janet Leigh ( Marion Crane )
wearing moleskin patches that covered strategic areas. However, for several other angles Hitchcock

  • 2. The Bay Of Pigs Case Study The Bay of Pigs The plan Kennedy had was to overthrow Fidel Castro of the Cuban government, but the plan went horribly wrong. Now that it has happened, and we know what went wrong I will tell you some things that could have helped it go right. First off, I think that having someone on the ground planning were to drop the bombs would have prevent the deaths of the seven innocent civilians killed in the bombing. If it was mapped out they wouldn t have died, and the plan would have been more successful. Another thing Kennedy could have done was had it planned on a different day because the invaders had to go through bad weather and work with soggy equipment. This would have helped them be more prepared for the mission. These are only a few things ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Piccasso s Life In regard to his artistic gift, Piccasso s early life was both promising and disheartening. It was promising because Picasso was a son of an artist, though not as talented, he was an important facet in developing Picasso s gift by providing the necessary tools to harness it. Additionally, His sister Lola, three years younger, challenged him to create drawings, requesting, for example, that he draw a dog or a donkey, beginning from any body part such as an ear or a paw (Blum 268). The drawing challenges the sister gave enabled Picasso to have better mastery of the canvas and to draw from different angles. The author suggests that his sister was key to developing his versatility of spatial repositioning of his art. However, in a negative twist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One can hardly understand the mystery in painting drawings that imply blindness in matters presented in the artwork bearing in mind that Picasso was an artist who had the sense of sight (Blum 275). However, The blind figures tend to evoke compassion, pity, and sadness, and perhaps reassure the spectators that they do not share in this misfortune. Yet all art has elements of ambiguity, and each spectator has a personal perception and response that may change with each exposure to the work of art (Blum 275). Blindness symbolizes desperation and misfortune since it is not a standard feature for everyone hence Picasso finds it fascinating to deliver his message of self pity and sadness in a manner that captures the attention of the spectator. However, the author presumes that Picasso may have unconsciously developed a failure attitude, which led him to use the theme of blindness to evoke the compassion of his spectators enabling him to triumph the period of limited appreciation. Consistently, The old Guitarist is bent over his instrument, immersed in the auditory sphere of music, a rhapsody in blue , so important for the blind (Blum 281). Picasso precociously outlines the importance of other sensory perceptions, such as hearing, to complement blindness and that is why the old Guitarists bends to make out the audio tune of his music. ... • 4. Male Presence In The Awakening The lack of male presence symbolizes their disdain in the women s lives. As portrayed in the book, the protagonist and other major characters are all females, suggesting self sufficiency. The author writes about the women being left by their husbands, but moves on, depicting male triviality. The female characters also develop their independence when they rely on each other during difficult times. The main character and other major characters receive very little help from men, which depicts their independence. The men have vacated from their lives, leaving an obstacle, which debates the women s response to the inconvenience. Instead, they invigoratingly maneuver their mentality, verifying their capabilities. One character, specifically, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This can be shown through interactions with some of the female characters. The pairs: Lou Ann and Taylor, Mrs. Parsons and Edna Poppy, Taylor and Mattie, clearly depicts their support for each other. Lou Ann and Taylor builds their relationship when Taylor adjusts to raising Turtle, while Mrs. Parsons supports Edna with her disadvantage. Yet what correlates the most is Taylor and Mattie s relationship. This can be most seen when Taylor consults to Mattie about Turtle. Even with this on her mind, she spent a lot of time talking with me about Turtle. She told me some things I didn t know...Do I think it would be interesting, maybe even enjoyable in the long run, to share my life with this kid and give her my best effort and maybe, when all s said and done, end up with a good friend (Kingsolver 239). When Taylor debates a life changing choice of adopting Turtle, she discusses it with Mattie. In the process, Mattie offers exquisite advice, showing Taylor could always seek Mattie for advice. In the process, Mattie depicts herself as a motherly figure to Taylor which bolsters Taylor s adoration for Mattie. • 7. Media In Contemporary Society The media plays an essential role in contemporary society. Media is presented all around us, from what we read in magazines, to the articles we read on the internet. Additionally, the public sphere , a theory created by Jurgen Habermas, is an area in which citizens come together to discuss ideas relating to social and political problems, and through this, influence political action. Jurgen Habermas (1984) defines the public sphere as a realm of our social life in which something approaching public opinion can be formed. Access is guaranteed to all citizens. Access to all people is beneficial because it allows people who previously did not have a say, talk about political concerns and social issues, which when putting them to debate, may benefit them for the future. The public sphere takes place when citizens, exercising the rights of assembly and association, gather as public bodies to discuss issues of the day, specifically those of political concern (Peter Dahlgren, p.7). Furthermore, he also claims a decline in the public sphere due to mass media. The public sphere is different to the media because it allows for communication and debate, whereas the media does not. It s a two way system. Habermas was born in 1929, a very chaotic time as this was time was the growth in fascism. All left wing writers had to leave Germany in the 1930s, as their views reflected a Marxist interpretation of society. Throughout this essay will be focusing on the interests role within the ... • 9. Mrs Dalloway Mental Illness Lacey Gross ENGL 2100 J. Sisk March 16, 2017 WWI Aftermath in Mrs. Dalloway Virginia Woolf s novel, Mrs. Dalloway, addresses the issues with shell shocked WWI veterans. Septimus Smith is one of the main characters that showcases what PTSD was like back then. Virginia Woolf showcases how society lacked the understanding of why soldiers came back different than before through characters such as Sir William Bradshaw and Dr. Holmes. Propaganda from the war also led to society not being able to understand the problems veterans faced when they came home. Septimus is tortured with flashabacks of the war and his officer Evan being killed. Due to this, he has shut himself off from everyone and tries not to think of the war (53). The author uses Septimus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In their scene at the park, Rezia uses many means to distract Septimus from his reflections by pointing out planes and a troop of boys playing cricket (22 23). While having little to no understanding on her husband s condition, she is the most willing to help him adjust back to normal life. Woolf uses characters like Dr. Holmes and Sir William Bradshaw to criticize many of the doctors after the war for pushing aside soldiers suffering from shell shock and claiming, there was nothing whatever the matter (72). She also addresses her displeasure with the treatment of mental illnesses, depression, and other psychological conditions that were ignored by doctors. This could stem from Woolf also being afflicted by many psychological problems throughout her life. In Jean M. Wyatt s Mrs. Dalloway: Literary Allusion as Structural Metaphor, she explains that the reason Septimus ended his life was because he saw an innocence and life in Rezia that he no longer possessed and decided that by committing suicide he was giving society a kind of renewal (443). His war experience, like that of many soldiers, shattered his perception of life and left fragments of it so deeply instilled in his life after the war that it impaired his ability to regain his past perceptions of life ... • 10. Animal Shelters and the No Kill Movement Nationally, roughly four million animals are killed in shelters every year. Of these, roughly 95% of all shelter animals are healthy and treatable. (No Kill Advocacy Center). No animal should have to ever be a part of these awful statistics. What will it take to help save these innocent animals from being killed senselessly? Animal kill shelters are horrible, inhumane, and overall completely unnecessary for multiple reasons: No Kill shelters improve adoption rates, all animals lives are valuable, and No Kill shelters save more money than other shelters. Why Waste a Valuable Life? Killing and disposing of animals because there is no room available for them is unnecessary and inhumane. A shelter is usually a place where something or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another question that comes to mind is if No Kill animal shelters are actually the solution or not. Some pounds will kill as many as 90% of the animals they redeem and that owners hand over. But on the other hand countless pounds are lessening their kill rates of adoptable animals to 0% (Animals). Death should never be the solution when it comes to the lives of these powerless animals. Why Kill When You Can Adopt? Usually when others are given the choice between a kill shelter and a No Kill shelter the answer is almost always the No Kill shelter. What if each animal shelter in the United States were to swap to No Kill shelters and if all the services and programs that help run No Kill shelters were available? Well the United States would emancipate roughly four million cats and dogs who are scheduled to die painfully in shelters this year, and the many years to come after that. This dream is a dream that is not completely impossible to achieve (No Kill Advocacy Center). Why are animals given a certain time line to be adopted when animals have the same right to life just as humans do? Many passionate people feel the same way and that kill shelters are completely unnecessary. The ASPCA has its own program called Mission Orange. This program works with communities to help raise the shelter save rate by 10% a year so that it can accomplish a 75% save rate by 2010 ( Animal Shelters and the No Kill ... • 11. Successful Aging Essay Successful aging can be defined in many different ways. Throughout the semester we have talked about many different aspects of aging that help define the success within the process. We have discussed the neurosciences of aging, the physical changes associated with aging, the longevity and intelligence of individuals in relation to their life and abilities while aging, how relationships and work can change as one ages, and how aging affects ones personality. After reading Childhood Misfortune as a Threat to Successful Aging: Avoiding Disease and Successful Aging and Well Being: Self Rated Compared With Rowe and Kahn, I have a better understanding of the objective and subjective view of aging in relation to childhood factors. Schafer and Ferraro define successful aging in a more objective way, stating that successful aging is the avoidance of disease and disability, high cognitive and physical functioning, and engagement within life (Schafer, M. • 12. The Battle Of Tippecanoe By William Henry Harrison The Battle of Tippecanoe was one of the major steps towards the War of 1812. It took place on November 8, 1811, in a clearing near Prophet s Town. It was also perhaps one of the most controversial battles in the War of 1812. Although a peace treaty had been made one day prior before the Battle of Tippecanoe, the Native Americans attacked, which caused the American soldiers to fight back, who were led by General William Henry Harrison. The Native Americans had been led by Tecumseh, a Shawnee Indian Chief. The Battle of Tippecanoe was a controversial battle which the Natives Americans started, and ultimately, lost. Tecumseh was a Shawnee Indian chief who had been born around 1768 near Springfield, Ohio. During the early 1800s, he started to oppose the United States, and attempted to create a confederation of Indian Tribes to rebel against the United States. One of the main reasons Tecumseh opposed the United States was the fact that white people were squatting on Native American land, and was forcing his people out. Although Tecumseh opposed whites, he knew how to speak their language. Tecumseh was described as a six foot tall man with fine features. He had been rumored to be fluent in English, and most surprisingly, also in French. He also managed to turn his brother s religious teachings into political movements in order to get his fellow Native Americans to support his movement. An Intentional Tort Action Against A Grape Producer This is an intentional tort action against a grape producer involving a breach contract between my health food products business and a grape producer and distributor. In the words of the Honorable Allen M. Linden Tort laws have a noble mission and opportunity to help people in trouble. The injured and the bereaved desperately require tort lawyers to help them retake whatever is left of their lives that can be retaken with money (Linden, 2005). I seek restitution for compensatory damages for loss of revenue, pain and suffering due to the broken contract. As well as, to make my company whole again and place it back in the financial position it was before the breach occurred. This intentional tort has caused harm to the economic interests of my company (Kubasek, Brennan, Browne, 2015). The family produce company started selling my health foods products business Muscadine grapes and sales grew at a rapid rate. I have become dependent on the distributor to deliver the product and the price and rate that he has in the past. However, upon being faced with an opportunity to do business with more profitable customer, he decides that he no longer can provide produce with my company, leaving me out to find another distributor, potentially more expensive. • 14. Emmett Till Reflection 1. The whole story and trial of Emmett Till was probably one of the most saddest stories I have heard about. What surprised me most is the reason why they killed Emmett. This just showed how much blacks were looked down upon. Nowadays, women get whistled at all the time by all different types of men. This is just a rude gesture to whistle at a women, however we wouldn t brutally murder them. What also surprised me was how they killed him. The murderers did not have to savagely kill him. This changed my view on history and actually opened my eyes. I think we need to be better educated on the subject that everybody tries to ignore. 2. During the trial, businesses put out jars to collect money for the defense of the two murderers. This shows that everyone was on the murderers side. The community views the white race as the superior race, and that is why the murderers were not guilty. Society then, was not a time that we should be proud of. Those murderers should have been ... I would expect them to answer what it meant to do that and I think they would explain that they were only kids and that it was a different time and society in 1955. P1 Introduction In this unit I will talk about the different elements of the economic environment that have significant impact on businesses such as British Airways. I will explain how exactly they influence the economic environment. Economic environment Every country has its economy which has features that can be measured in many various ways to comprehend how they are evolving. These different features will allow us to describe changes in a distinct business which in this case is British Airways. The economic environment of a country has a meaningful effect on its business, as the trade that is happening between that country and other countries affect how much money is passing in and out of the country. This than affects the cost of goods and prices. British Airways British Airways is the flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom. It is the biggest airline in the UK based. British Airways was considered the largest UK airline by passenger numbers from its creation in 1974 until 2008 when it was replaced by low cost rival EasyJet. Since its origin, British Airways has been centred at its main core at London Heathrow Airport, with a second major heart at London Gatwick Airport. The British Airways Board was formed in 1971 to control the policy and finances of the two large London based airline corporations, British Overseas Airways Corporation and British European Airways Corporation with two much smaller regional airlines, Cambrian Airways and Northeast Airlines. ... Personally, I believe that Creon is the tragic hero. Creon has three big harmartias. Those three are: pride, stubbornness, and fear. Throughout the whole play, Creon is too busy worrying about what people think of him instead of thinking about family. Unfortunately, it was too late for Creon to change his mistakes. Creon s biggest hamartia is pride. After Creon finds out that Antigone buried her brother, he questions Antigone and Ismene. Creon decides to spare Ismene but rules that Antigone should be buried alive in a cave as punishment for her transgressions ( Antigone ). He does this because earlier, ... The site for this study will be a local high school with both female and male learners with Special Education Needs (SEN) and learning disability. The research will target or focus on one of the schools with a high number of disabled students to ensure the statistics taken are more conclusive for the study. Together with the school administration, 9 12th grade teachers, students, and counselors we will attempt to come up with the best and efficient mode of conducting the research. Addressing the issue of young people with disabilities requires the inclusion of a larger audience such as the students, teachers, and administrators (Supports Center, 2004). According to Milsom, counselor s assigned the role of preparing students for the job and life outside school has failed to adequately present the disabled students with skills to cope with life after school (2002). The research records the type of instruction and skills taught to the students, looking for the relation of the information and survival in the outside world. The study will collect data by asking the students questions related to survival outside the school and rate students according to the level of preparedness. Through such information, the research can offer a clear understanding of the issue to be discussed as well as the culture in the schools today concerning their ability to prepare learners for employment environment and real life after school. The United States Department of Defense defines terrorism as, the calculated use of violence or the threat of violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological (DOD). Terrorism has emerged in the last ten years as one of the most crucial issues governments attempt to tackle. Many movies and documents can help people better understand the major strain of terrorism. As seen by the effects of the September eleventh attacks on American security, tourism and economy, the Taliban, and Somali piracy, terrorism has had an utmost impact on the world. September eleventh, 2001 was a tragic day for not only the people of New York, but around the world. These attacks would shape America s security, tourist industry, and the economy. How McCabe and Mrs Miller and Blade Runner Subvert Their Genres and Defy Audience Expectations Two genres which have always been Hollywood staples are science fiction and the western. The genres can be seen in films made as early as Le Voyage Dans la lune (Georges Melies 1902) and The Great Train Robbery (Edwin S. Porter 1903). On the surface the two genres are very different, however if one looks closely at them they are similar in many ways. One important change from traditional western is the cold, the film is set in winter in a cold climate and Beatty goes around bundled up like a bear in a thick fur coat. The viewer can almost feel the wind whipping through the poorly built houses and the residents shivering. Altman features the snow and the weather prominently in his film, this is in stark contrast to a traditional western which takes place in a warm state and in which the climate is rarely an issue. Another difference is the way in which Altman peoples his film with realistic characters whose flaws he makes clear to the audience. This is not an idealized west peopled by beautiful looking movie stars, even Beatty, sporting a thick beard, and Christie are willing to look less attractive than usual for their parts. The people who live in Altman s West have had difficult lives. They have poor hygiene and poor social skills. These realistic characters include the workers McCabe uses to build his whorehouse as well as the whores he first brings to town, while Altman treats these people sympathetically and their appearance and actions are realistic it is clear that they are not prime examples of human beauty, intelligence and cleanliness. While having to support his client a defense Attorney more often than not would have to prove the prosecution s witness to be fake. The paper deals with the techniques that are followed by an Attorney to protect his client and it gives us an idea of the numerous strategies that he would have to adopt to prove his client in the right. Further, the paper is also a discussion upon facts as to whether an Attorney can purposely cross question a witness, and mislead the court just to prove his client not guilty. Here the main purpose of the argument starts with the fact whether a defense attorney is ethically right when he decides to purposely cross examine the prosecutor s witness just to mislead the court, when he knows that the witness is saying the truth, and does so only to discredit his answers. From time immemorial lawyers have been condemned and thought of as conniving people. As early as the biblical times writers have been condemning lawyers. The great satirist, Jonathan Swift had in his book Gulliver s Travels in 1726 stated that there was a society of men among us, bred up from their youth in the art of proving by words multiplied for the purpose that white is black and black is white, according as they are paid. To you it could mean no more war, no more poverty, every person of every race and gender being treated exactly the same. In Looking Backward by Edward Bellamy, and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury the idea of a perfect world is not just an idea anymore, it becomes reality. Julian West, the main character, was born into an aristocratic family. Just as the rest of his class did, Julian thought of himself to be a higher rated citizen to the rest of the population. Julian had everything, even his fiancé Edith was an aristocrat, and together they felt as if they could take on the world. The gap between the rich and the poor sometimes affected the rich just as much as it did the poor. The two were to get married as soon as their house was finished, but strikes from the poor construction workers were prolonging that process. In practically all areas of political application there was the existence of liberal thinking. This was especially apparent in his previously mentioned appointment of officials. Jackson considered the roles of officials fairly simple and could and should be carried out by all people not just the members of the socially and intellectually elite. Using propositions and names, respectively, the two philosophers develop arguments showing that there is an extreme parallel between language and pictures. This brings Socrates to acknowledge the importance of breaking down these first names into their elemental forms of letters and syllables.
