Rosalind Franklin Stereotypes
Throughout the ages, women have been have been subject to gender stereotypes, such as
women should be at home, taking care of children and hearth, and should not be out conducting
business, studying science, etc. If they were making progress outside the home, their work was
often not credited properly, such in the case of Rosalind Franklin, whose photograph 51 evolved
the fields of science, medicine and more. Rosalind Franklin was born in London, England in
1920 to a wealthy Jewish family. Though, her family valued education and public service, some
sources say that her father did not believe in university education for women. Nevertheless,
Franklin enrolled at Newnham Women s College at Cambridge University to study chemistry
and physics. Franklin was part of a graduate fellowship, but she quit after one year, choosing to
work at the British Coal Utilization Research Association (CURA). Her work there, which
included studies of carbon and graphite microstructures, served as the basis for her Ph.D. thesis
in physical chemistry at Cambridge in 1945. In 1947, she decided to move to Paris, where she
worked in the Laboratoire Central des Services Chimiques de L Etat, learning X ray diffraction
techniques from Jacques Mering, who was the head of the lab and is best remembered for his
influence on Franklin. Just a few years later, in 1951, Franklin returned to England to work in
John Randall s laboratory at King s College, London on a DNAproject that had been untouched for

King Herakles Research Paper
The Labors of Herakles are the amazing tasks of the hero, which paints him as the greatest of all
Greek Heros. His battle with the Nemean Lion displays his strength, and serves as the start of a
fascinating and exciting story of battle, conquest and immortalization. Even the Nemean Lion,
immune to arrows and blades, can succumb to the might of the Greek Warrior Herakles, a
symbol of the Greek people themselves. In this study, one such depiction of this great fight will
be discussed, a Stamnos of Herakles and the Nemean Lion. Additionally the Myth behind this
depiction of this heroic battle will be explained and detailed. The Vase has held various owners
from Kings to Researchers to its final owner, the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The battle with the
Nemean Lion is one of the greatest myths of this Greek Hero, and portray a man taming the inner
beast within himself that is raging to be free. The Stamnos vase of Hercules and the Nemean lion
depicts the Greek Hero Herakles first labor, the battle with the Nemean Lion. The twelve labors

The Greek hero was to slay and skin a enormous lion, that had been terrorizing the hills of
Nemea. However, this is no ordinary lion, this lion cannot be penetrated by an arrow or sword and
its skin is tougher than any armour. This was fact, however, was unbeknownst to Herakles, who
shot arrows which harmlessly bounced of the great beast thighs. After a great battle, Herakles, with
his great strength, strangled the beast. He would then skin the animal by using its own claws. On
his return King Eurystheus was equally amazed and horrified. Eurystheus barred him from the city
limits, he was to display the spoils of his labours outside the city gates. Herakles would then go on
to complete 11 other labors, each one increasing in difficulty.(The Nemean Lion, Tufts.edu

Epilogue To Marcel s Last Memory
Saban broke the silence as Marcel tried to evade being followed, What about the escape line? It is
not an option just yet, Marcel said as he alternated watching the road and the rearview mirror.
Saban took a deep breath, exhaled, closed his eyes, and shook his head. Shit! What is wrong? asked
Saban. I believe we are being followed. What are you going to do? Be quiet and let me think.
Marcel grabbed a pistol from his waistband, flipped off the safety, and held it in his hand as a dark
colored sedan sped close to the rear of their auto. The sedan pulled alongside with the window
rolled down and a man yelled from inside, Pull over! Marcel glanced at the sedan and saw a man

The fight consuming Cedric, Dorian, the monks, and the resistance had become his fight. Now
he understood why they risk their lives for the country and people they love. It is freedom from

leaned in and checked the handcuffs. When they looked at him, he smiled and gave a nod of
approval. After settling in the front seat with the agent, Marcel grabbed a carton of cigarettes
from under the seat, removed a pack, and replaced the carton. He smacked the end of the pack on
the dashboard to tighten the tobacco, opened the pack, removed a cigarette, lit it, inhaled, rolled
his window down slightly, and blew the smoke out. The agent declined an offer of a cigarette, so

Comparing The Prairie And Short Grass Prairies
The american prairie starts in Manitoba and goes down through the Great Plains, into Mexico
and Texas. They are all near the Rocky Mountains. These Prairies cover around 1.4 million miles
of land. Because of the mountains, it has more rain around them rather than the prairies. All of
the different prairies have distinct climates, the Tall Grass Prairies are known to be the wettest
prairies, the Short Grass Prairie is also wet, but not as wet as Tall Grass. The Mixed Prairies are
more dry since they are in more sunlight than the others. The prairies all have various climate
changes a year, they can have a lot of rain or very little rain at all. Usually, the Prairies have
droughts for a while because they just aren t getting any rain. The temperature

The USAF and Future Leaders
The USAF invests a lot of time and money in developing future leaders. In fact it established
four schools geared toward developing its enlisted force at different levels of leadership. Those
schools are the Airmen Leadership School (ALS), Non commissioned Officer Academy
(NCOA), and Senior Non Commissioned Academy (SNCO), and the Chief School. All four
schools focus on developing the leadership and management skills needed to supervise, manage,
and lead people at each level of responsibility. The military as a whole has long history of
leadership training and development (Gibson, 2005). The accomplishment of the mission is
paramount for any military organization. Leadership is the determining factor in obtaining that
goal. USAF defines leadership as the impact of personal influence and persuasion upon followers
to direct the accomplishment of objectives. Leadership is not restricted to senior management and
leadership, but is expected throughout all ranks. Gibson (2005, p2) states effective leadership is
imperative to the achievement of military missions and the perception of the appropriate
individuals, regardless of tenor, as leaders is paramount to this effectiveness. The way leaders
interact and manage people has a direct bearing on employees job performance and satisfaction.
Too often in the USAF many leaders employ an authoritative leadership style at the expense of
people. Others fail to engage their followers at all. The assumption in the USAF is that

Was Madoff Able To Conceal His Fraud

Freud s Worst Nightmare Perfect Sex Dream
In her article, author Barbra Creed discusses a wide range of theories and assumptions on Freud
and his relation to modern cinema, memories, and the development of the original horror film. She
begins by describing Freud and his obsession with horror. She briefly mentions some of his case
histories that entail themes of sexual abuse, hysteria, bestiality, phobias, and perversity, but
primarily continues to inform us of his hatred of cinema. Considering Freud was born in 1856, he
was just reaching his mid 50 s when early cinema really took off. Films and movies became the
forefront of entertainment, the must see attraction by audiences across the country, and the newest
daring art form. This was, however, an art form that Sir Sigmund Freud wanted nothing to do with.
Despite having several films be inspired by his theories and writings, Freud refused to become
involved with films and filmmaking, and even avoided being captured on camera in his daughter s
home videos. The reason for this hatred however, is neglected and left questionable by Creed.
The author points out that early cinema was known for stretching the boundaries on narrative
filmmaking by incorporating elements of sex, desire, and eroticism, which were, of course, main
focuses of Freud s countless writings. She continues her analysis by efficiently describing the
modern self and the divided self: two

Essay on Jack and Simon in Chapter Three of the Lord of...
Jack and Simon in Chapter Three of the Lord of the Flies
In the Lord of the Flies, William Golding makes many contrasts between his symbolic characters.
For example in chapter three, Huts on the beach , many contrasts and similarities are made between
the two characters Jack and Simon. These descriptions give an idea to their personality and feelings.
The description of Simon in the jungle, and Jack in the woods highlights many of their
differences. Jack is alone and descriptions like, with flared nostrils , and ape like suggest he is
behaving like an animal. Jack s appearance is also starting to resemble animals, as his hair has
grown, longer , and his skin darker with, a mess of dark freckles . Simon s appearance is ... Show

This clearly shows an unusual ability Simon has, and resembles a Jesus figure, the descriptions, in
contrast to the wood
Jack is in, seem surreal, and tranquil. Jack in the wood is set with,
a sharpened stick about five feet long , reflecting a threatening, tense atmosphere.
Simon is with the littuns and he is shown to be generous and caring, as he, found for them the
fruit they could not reach, pulled of the choicest . This is an example of the effort Simon took to
be caring for others. This is also shown by Simon s willingness to help with the building of the
huts, when all the others ran away, leaving the responsibility to Ralph. This shows he is
considerate to others. Jack, however is extremely unwilling to help with the huts, and is annoyed
when Ralph gives Simon gratitude for helping, as when Simon is not by the huts Jack tries to
make up excuses like, got fed up , and, he s buzzed off , trying to make Simon in the wrong. Jack
is obsessed about catching a pig and seems to want to catch one for the enjoyment, rather than the
food it would give. Jacks obsession is shown after
Ralph has been expressing how upset he is that no one helps with the hut, when he bluntly
comments, we need meat and when Ralph mentions rescue, Jack says, I d like to catch a pig first
and is not prepared to keep the fire going for rescue purposes. These are examples of how desperate
Jack wants to catch the pig, and how he

The Developments And Learning I Experienced During Buxton...
The objective of writing this reflective essay is to assess the developments and learning I
experienced during Buxton residential; pertaining to working as a group and individually with a
view of improving my shortcomings. I was assessed and given feedback by the supervisor in the
areas I was not performing better and guided throughout the residential to accomplish better
individually as well as in a group.
I am reviewing the work I performed in the group under the current research and methods to
present the learning I gained from the feedback and guidance provided by the supervisors.

(Tuckman, 1965, pp 396)
In the last activities I performed, I did my part for the team and did efforts for the team as a
whole, not completely for personal achievement. I did understand the point of working as a team
not as an individual working separately than the team working as one. (Tuckman, 1965, pp 396)
Leadership:
I was given the opportunity to lead in single activity which required to guide the team members
based on communication. I did planned and guided my members and explain them how we will
work in that activity according to my mindset and priorities. The problem I experienced was that
regardless of the understanding between group members, I was still not able to guide my
colleagues to perform as I expected. The main reason for me not delivering what I expected was
that I didn t accounted for other member s thoughts and priorities. (Beth Charles, 2011, pp 463)
In some of the other activities, I was working as a member however, I have to take control of the
situation as I built a general understanding of the group work and do take leadership role in the
group whenever required. (Belbin, 2010, pp 65)(Henny, 2008, pp501)
Communication Skills:
For me at the first it was a disaster in terms of performing in the team. The reason for that was the
absence of understanding and communication skills in me. (Tuckman, 1965, pp

Kinesthetic Learners
Once a visual learner sees and understands what is being expected of them to understand, they
sometimes will have to write or draw it. If they are writing or taking
notes, they will either write it in a different color or they will take detailed notes and go back and
highlight the important factors. To help a visual learner organize information they sometimes use a
Mind Map. A mind map guide is centered on the topic and includes branches for each related idea.
Visual learners learn by seeing. When writing and drawing what they are visualizing, this helps
them retain and better process the information being taught. An auditory learner is when a person
learns by speaking and hearing. An auditory learner learns best through lectures. Unlike ... Show

Another alternative way of treatment for a learning disability without medicating your child is
discipline. There are a lot of controversies with people spanking their children, but sometimes all
a child need is a very strict schedule to follow on a daily basis or just tough love. The teacher
should also be aligned with the schedule to ensure that the child stays on track. This can teach the
child how to focus and how to deal with difficult situation that life may bring. I would want my
child to maintain their sense of normalcy naturally versus giving them medication to keep them at a
zoned (zombie stage) level. The bottom line is there are other ways to help your child focus in

Apple s very own, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, are possibly the most innovative entrepreneurs of
the 21st century. Steve Jobs, who often gets all the credit, and Steve Wozniak created many
technologies and products that changed the economy and the importance of innovation in the 21st
century. Jobs and Wozniak are credited with revolutionizing the computer industry by
democratizing the technology and making machines smaller, cheaper, intuitive and accessible to
everyday consumers. Wozniak conceived of a series of user friendly personal computers, and with
Jobs in charge of marketing Apple initially marketed the computers for $666.66 each. The Apple I

The Federalists And Democratic Republicans
From 1789 to 1816, the Federalists and Democratic Republicans approached many problems
differently, sometimes however, they had the same solutions to problems which were posed by
England and the Native Americans. The Federalists and Democratic Republicans both had
different and sometimes similar viewpoints on how to solve the problems they faced during this
particular time period. Federalists supported a strong, huge government that had a loose
constriction of the constitution. They also supported the National Bank, exercise tax. Also, they
thought tariffs should be high, and they believed in an industrial world filled with huge
businesses and mass production of goods. However, the Democratic Republicans wanted a more
agrarian culture. They did not want a huge government, National bank, excise taxes, and they
wanted the tariffs to be low. Some difficulties that the two parties faced were that the British
created were impressments of sailors, assisting the Native Americans in war against the United
States, and the Orders in Council of 1805. The Native Americans also generated problems for
America because they resisted land expansion. Because of their standards and beliefs, this shows
how the two parties faced these particular problems that were caused by Britain and the Native
Americans. Therefore, the Federalists and Democratic Republicans solved problems differently, but
sometimes they had the same idea to work together in order to effectively fix both of the parties

2017). So, there was not any chance to calculate the impact of temporal and spatial variations in
previous methods.
In order to improve the AAT method, it needs to compare the reconstruction of temperature and
wind velocity of RBF methods with synthetic data to quantify the amount of error. The deviation of
ray path will be investigated, from nominal straight line caused by variation in sound speed. For the
first step, it is required to employ improved ray path geometry calculations. Then, arrival time
correction of the ray will be considered. After that, the best suited method will be recommended, in
which, the result has a proper approximation to the real condition.
4.3Task 3: Simulation of UAV AAT using LES Data
NCAR provided a special dataset of realistic atmosphere condition derived from Large Eddy
simulation. These LES Data help us to compare the tomography reconstructed result with realistic
condition data. The LES contains atmosphere snapshots data in 5Km Г— 2Km Г— 2Km. In situ
measurements in tomography process have not been used (Finn and Rogers 2015). The UAV based

which approximate to the resolution of LES (Kevin, Rice et al. 2015).

The Poetry of Denise Levertov
Denise Levertov was a unique poet by intertwining mysterious images in her poetry, often
directing the reader towards themes, such as myth and nature (William Doreski 272). Levertov
bases her poetry on immediate or past events in her life. Her father was a descendant of the
founder of the sect Habad Hasidism. She found asceticism and joy in the physical world, though
understanding it in her own way and making her poems have a religious feeling to them. Her
mother introduced her to many Victorian author s, and Levertov wrote to many famous author s
during the time such as T.S Elliot for advice on her poetry (William Doreski 273). While
working as a civilian nurse during WWII, she started writing her first book on poetry and in
1946 was able to publish one of her first great works, The Double Image, which was known by
having a neo Romantic mood of poetry during the time. Now, her poetry is characterized by
defamiliarizing the domestic and natural world as well as emphasizing the essentially private way
is forced to confront otherness (William Doreski 274). Denise Levertovwas born on October
24,1923 in Ilford, England to a Russian Jewish father (William Doreski 273). Her father was a
descendant of the founder of the sect Habad Hasidism, in which some characteristics of the sect
survive in her poetry finding asceticism and joy in the physical world , although understanding it
from her own terms (William Doreski 273). Levertov did not have much formal education but

The Big Short, Directed By Adam Mckay
Summary
The film the Big Short, directed by Adam McKay is about the financial/housing crisis of 2008. The
film explains how the history of the housing market, how the crisis began, and introduced all of the
people and companies involved. The most important aspect of the movie was that the crisis was
foreseen, but nothing was done to prevent it. The three main characters are Michael Burry, Jared
Vennett, and Mark Baum. Burry was the first to recognize the faulty practices of the housing
market, and bet against the market. His actions caught the attention of Vennett and Baum, which led
them to investigate the housing market, and bet against it as well.

crisis. Prior to watching the film, I had no clue it occurred. All of the information in the film was
new knowledge. A few terms that were new to me were subprime mortgage, collateralized debt
obligation (CDO), adjustable rates and credit default swap.
A subprime mortgage is a loan that is offered to people who are not necessarily qualified for a
loan, which makes them risky mortgages. Since the lenders are taking on this risk, the interest
rates are extremely high to somewhat make up for the risk. A CDO is various pieces of assets that
are put together and sold to investors. Assets that are included

Roles Of Different Agencies For Identifying Levels Of...
1:1 Explain the roles of different agencies in identifying levels of health and disease in communities
Public health is the discipline that addresses health and social care at a profession level. This can
be national and regional. Public health is therefore different to occupational therapists,
physiotherapist etc. as these professionals are individuals led. Public health is concerned with a
group of people rather than a one to one.
There are different agencies that identify levels of disease in communities:
Local
Local agencies provide care for smaller communities. For example, the local accident and
emergency department for children in Sheffield is the children s Hospital, it provides care on a
local level. Sheffield Children s hospital is a trust which covers five main teaching hospitals in
Sheffield. According to ( Overview Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation TrustNHS
Choices ) Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK s busiest and
most successful NHS foundation trusts. The trust provides a full range of local hospital and
community services for people in Sheffield, as well as specialist care for patients from further
afield. This includes cancer, spinal cord injuries, renal and cardiothoracic services. The Trust also
comprises five of Yorkshire s best known teaching hospitals. These include The Royal Hallamshire
Hospital, The Northern General Hospital, Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Weston Park Cancer

Essay on The Pros and Cons of Ozone
Here is an environmental question worth asking, Is ozone good or bad? Need more context?
Okay. Has ozone been beneficial or detrimental to humans over the course of the past century?
Unsure? Well read the following and decide. If you re not motivated to do so, consider that if
ozone weren t part of the Earth, neither would we be, and, more immediately, if ozone levels aren t
kept within certain narrow ranges in the future, the biospherewill suffer greatly.
What is ozone? Ozone is the gas in our atmosphere which has the chemical formula, O3, meaning
that each of its molecules consists of three oxygen atoms. Although seemingly similar to the much
more common diatomic oxygen, O2, which we require consumption of in every breath, ozone ...

Let s start in the upper atmosphere and work our way down to the surface. The stratosphere (that
part of the atmosphere above the wispy clouds extending nearly 30 miles above the surface)
contains ~97 percent of the ozone on the planet. This ozone is considered extremely beneficial
and is, in fact, essential for life as we know it. Ozone has the very special property of absorbing
the highly energetic ultraviolet (UV) rays that come from the sun. This partial absorption of UV
light protects life from the complications that result when life forms are exposed to elevated
levels of it. In humans, UV light might be desirous to someone attempting to get a tan, but it is
very damaging to our eyes (via cataracts), contributes in the creation of cancerous skin cells,
produces age spots, and stimulates wrinkles. (Despite the fact that our culture tends to admire
tanned skin, the process of tanning is actually a sign of skin damage.) Many plants also show
signs of reduced productivity when exposed to higher UV levels. Thus, stratospheric ozone is a
blessing to all of life because of its ability to absorb (and therefore block) much of the UV light
from reaching the earth s surface.
In the lower atmosphere, particularly near the surface, ozone isn t so beneficial. Often a primary
ingredient in smog, ozone causes damage in lung when inhaled. The American Lung Association s

The Desolate City Annotations
After the repetition of the dream passage beginning in bar sixty, another interlude starts in bar sixty
eight that both transitions from the previous mood and prepares for the next. Continuity from the
previous section is seen with the arpeggiation and statements of a motive from the opening vocal
line. The interlude also helps to prepare for a more somber mood with the appearance of A@
minor, the parallel minor. The vocal line, in which the speaker outrightly admits doubt regarding the
ideal, is marked recitative, and its chordal accompaniment is appropriately sparse. The shift to this
section is quick, with an applied dominant seventh chordto B@ minor in bars seventy four and
seventy five. In a moment of truth, all attention is appropriately... Show more content on

Divine Command Theory And Religion
One of the oldest philosophical arguments has to do with morality depending on religion. Some
believe the Divine Command Theory dictates we need to believe in God to produce our morality.
Others, like myself believe that our morality does not depend solely on our religion which reflects
the Natural Law Theory.
Natural Law Theory derived from Aquinas because Aquinas just couldn t believe that Godwould
have expectations for us if he didn t also give us all of us a way to meet them. I interpret this that
we do not receive all of our commands directly from God but from our own self.
With all of the various religions throughout the world, comes just as many if not more Gods. If our
morality is dependent on religion, then which God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Reading the bible, going to church, and taking communion will help to ensure we follow the
commands of God and ultimately have high morality.
If God only commands good for us based on following his direction through the bible, going to
church, and taking communion, then why would people who follow this direction do evil deeds.
Let s take the example of catholic priests being accused of molesting young boys. It should be
assumed that if morality were dependent on religion, then these people submerged in their religion
would have the highest of moralities yet they have committed some of the most atrocious acts
known to humans.
Humans are born with an innate ability to have high morality based on the Natural law Theory as
opposed to the Divine Command Theory. Our instincts towards morality come from within
ourselves. Fundamentally we have seven basic tools that produce our survival and morality so it s
up to us to utilize them to the fullest in a positive manner. Our morality can be supported by outside
influence such as our religion but with so many religions and Gods throughout the world, it would
be overwhelming to decide which is ultimately making our choices towards good morality. That has
to come from within

Cultural Differences And The Impact On The Communication...
Cultural Differences and The Impact On The Communication Process
Alberts, Martin and Nakayama (2011) describe communication as a transactional process in which
people generate meaning through the exchange of verbal and nonverbal messages in in specific
contexts, influenced by individual and societal forces and embedded in culture. (p.7) They then go
on to state that intercultural communication occurs in interactions between people who are
culturally different. (p.122) Cultural differences thus affect many interactions, with the
communication process being one.
The movie that I studied was Django Unchained. It follows a German bounty hunter, Dr. King
Schultz and his recently acquired free slave, Django as they go across America in search of
bounties. They then set out to find and free Django s wife, Broomhilda von Schaft from the evil
clutches of her owner, Calvin Candie. It is set in 1858 in the Deep South, with preliminary scenes
in Old West Texas.
The major role players within this film are Dr. King Schultz and Django. Like sugar and salt, they
are two opposites when they first meet. You have Schultz, a well spoken German bounty hunter
who possess a superior control over his dialect and one who abides by the socially accepted
etiquette with regard to the purchasing of Django, albeit his methods to procure a conversation with
him highly questionable. On the other hand, you have Django, a beat up African American slave

Malrotation Of The Gut Case Study
Volvulus (Malrotation of the Gut)
A malrotation of the gut occurs when something goes wrong during development the small intestine
(gut or small bowel). When this occurs, the small intestine is not fixed in the abdomen (belly). The
intestines are held by just their blood supply. When the intestines become twisted, because they are
not fastened down, it cuts off their blood supply. It is much like a hose getting kinked. This loss of
blood supply leads to damage to the gut. This condition is also called volvulus.
SYMPTOMS
Most often this abnormality shows up during the first month of life. Sometimes it may not produce
symptoms until adulthood. Usually the abdomen becomes distended and there is vomiting of
bilious material. This is greenish or bile stained vomitus. There is usually cramping and intermittent
abdominal pain.

TREATMENT
A volvulus is a surgical emergency. This must be corrected immediately to preserve life.
The surgeon will untwist the intestine if necessary.
The surgeon will cut through the abnormal bands holding the organs in the wrong places.
The appendix will be removed. If the child were to have an appendicitis the diagnosis would be
dangerously delayed because of the abnormal position.
After the operation, it is extremely unlikely the bowel will rotate again. The body has internal
scarring called adhesions that hold things in

Performance Testing And Validating Systems Before...
B ENCHMARK applications are essential for performance testing and validating systems before
deployment to production environments. They emulate a typical production system and provide
measurements of a secondary System Under Test (SUT) such as the pro cessing power of a host,
the maximum number of serviceable clients, or the efficiency of a resource allocation algorithm
[1]. They allow various configurations, settings, parameters, etc. to be compared so that the best
values for a given scenario can be identified. Benchmark web applications typically consist of an

The benchmarks therefore fail to accurately validate the performance of a SUT. We present C
MART, a web application benchmark designed to evaluate systems running in Cloud compu ting
environments such as Infrastructure as a Service or virtualized data centers. We address four main
concerns with existing benchmarks that make systems testing difficult, limited, and inaccurate.
These concerns are scalability, modern technologies, flexibility, and client realism. Scalability:
Cloud Computing environments al low on demand resource provisioning [1]. As such, C MART
is designed to elastically scale at each tier of the application. It also includes a de ployment server
and scaling API to emulate a Cloud computing environment in a local data center. Existing
benchmarks are difficult or impossible to elastically scale. Modern Technologies: Current web
applications utilize technologies such as AJAX, CSS, SQLite, HTML5, and have multimedia rich
interfaces. Ex isting benchmarks do not utilize all of these fea tures, reducing the variability in their
resource utilizations, response times, and simplifying their management. We include these
technologies so that C MART emulates a modern application. Flexibility: C MART is designed
with multiple implementations of each tier. This allows a SUT to be validated under different
architectures. C MART can run as a two tier system up to a six tier system. Existing benchmarks

Roe Vs Wade Essay
Roe v. Wade was a decision made by United States Supreme Court regarding abortion in 1973. It
was, and still is, one of the most controversial decisions the Supreme Court has ever made.
Abortion is defined the ending of pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo before it can survive
outside the uterus . The appellant was a single, pregnant woman from Texas who wished to get an
abortion. Prior to the court s decision, abortion was illegal under Texas state law except in cases
where the abortion would save the pregnant woman s life. The appellee was Henry Wade, a lawyer
defending the Texas state law. The court ruled on the side of Roe, with a 7 2 decision. The Supreme
Court ruled that the Texas statute violated Jane Roe s constitutional right to privacy , and argued
that the Constitution s First, Fourth, Ninth, and Fourteenth Amendments protect an... Show more

It was argued that anti abortion laws were the product of a Victorian social concern to discourage
illicit sexual conduct (543). Another reason abortion was previously prohibited was because the
procedure was a hazardous one for the woman (544). The court pointed out that this was no longer
valid or relevant in this day of age. They explained that abortion was now relatively safe , and that
mortality rates for women undergoing early abortions, where the procedure is legal, appear to be as
low as or lower than the rates of normal childbirth (544). When abortion is prohibited, women
seeking abortions sometimes tend to undergo illegal abortions, which are extremely unsafe.
Therefore, the court said, the state has a legitimate interest in seeing that abortion, like any other
medical procedure, is performed under circumstances that insure maximum safety for the patient
(544). When abortion was illegal, the mortality rate for women having abortions was significantly
higher than when it was made

Workers Rights In The 20th Century
Throughout the Twentieth Century, the evolution of workers rights in the workplace has
drastically evolved. Through the utilization of constitutional freedoms, workers across the nation
came together to support the goal of receiving fair treatment from employers when it came to
wages, work conditions, and benefits. However, this wasn t achieved without great sacrifice
from the average man as standing up for their rights was a brave act that usually resulted in
consequences. During the early stages of the Twentieth Century, the labor force was focused
more on industrial jobs than agricultural jobs as technology was evolving. About 24 million
Americans ranging from 10 years and above were employed. The number of women working in
the workforce was about 19 percent as children in the workforce was about 6 percent of the labor
force. The work force was dominated by men as culture deemed them to be superior than women.
Children worked as some parents couldn t provide enough for their families, so they sent their
children off to work in dangerous conditions. As the second industrial revolutionwas nearing its end,
many people were employed in factories which received low pay and dangerous conditions as the
average week was 53 hours. At the start of the 20th Century, only 15 percent of people that got
injured in the workplace were successful in suing their employer and received money for the
damages. This type of exposure of human labor would cause a shift in the labor force as

My Position From A Kantian Perspective Essay
The Categorical Debate George told Martha where a large sum of money he had accumulated
was stored. He asked her to see that the money was given to the Society for Protection against
Alien Control of the Earth (SPACE). Now that he has died, she is considering using the money
to support the activities of the local Hunger Task Force, an organization that provides donated
food to those who need it. What should Martha do? My position from a Kantian perspective is
that Martha should give the money to the Society for Protection against Alien Control of the
Earth (SPACE) because of the agreement Martha made with George before he died. I shall
present arguments to support my position from a Kantian perspective by setting the precedence
demonstrated by Kant as is evidence in duty and moral obligation. I will also present arguments
to refute the utilitarian position that Martha should use the money to support the activities of
the local Hunger Task Force, an organization that provides donated food to those who need it. As
well as the arguments present by Kants catergorical imperative. Kant ascribes Duty means that
we should never act in any way that we wouldn t want the principle we act on to be a universal

News From Nowhere By William Morris Essay
William Morris novel News from Nowhere is portrayed as a utopic vision of a world that not
only abolishes the class system, but is created through the transition from working in order to
survive to working for the pleasure of it. Consequently, his novel may seem only as a vision due
to its idealistic reasoning as to how his portrayed world dependant on nature and people s nature
could possibly exist and support itself. Even though this is merely theory on his part, his essay
Useful Work versus Useless Toil supports a better understanding of Morris conceptualization of
enjoyable labour within his ideal future society in his novel News from Nowhere because it
suggests how finding pleasure in doing work leads to a better and enlightened society.
Morris clearly separates labour between pre and post revolution by highlighting and redefining the
terms civilization and society in which a true society is only possible once the class system is
destroyed and people are treated as equals. In the novel, the narrator William Guest asks Hammond
how his 19th century world shifted to the elder s, and the answer is the revolution leading to the
abolishment of social class. According to Hammond, he defines civilization as organized misery in
which he criticizes the class system for denigrating the lower classes into subservient people
unknowingly supporting and enriching the middle and upper classes while scrapping by with little
reward to their own lifestyle (Morris 125).

In Scandinavia women were thought to be evil if they had a higher power role in society over
men. This is displayed in Scandinavian literature about the story of Queen Gunnhilder, in her
stories she was described as being malevolent and her nickname was Destructive Prima Donna
by one scholar. A real life example would be an incident that occurred in 1466. A woman named
Г†lseby, called another man s wife a wretch which in Norse means (sklak), and the son of a
whore. Г†lseby was once again causing trouble a few years after this previous incident; after
another woman had said to Г†lseby that she was a tramp who wished her husband dead , Г†lseby

behavior a step further by referencing other scholars who said that back during this time period
women like Г†lseby who was regarded as contentious, outspoken, troublesome... were considered to
be evil women. As previously mentioned, many historians who write about witch hunting often
come across various works about witchcraft beliefs from witch hunters who believed that women

In order to prepare for earthquakes, people living in earthquake zones need to be educated about
them and know what to do in an emergency such as standing under doorways or having
emergency tools, which can be hard in the LEDW as the information may not be readily available
in the rural areas and buildings in the urban areas may not be built to withstand them as doing so
would be too expensive but they can still have supplies of food and other such items to survive if
they are involved in an earthquake.
Volcanoes are harder to prepare for as they can cause more damage, which cannot be avoided by
standing under a doorframe. Houses are not easily be reinforced to withstand a volcanic eruption,
they can be strengthened to endure the vibrations caused by the eruption but not usually against
lava flows as not many things can stand the high temperatures and even if they could the house
would be buried under rapidly cooling molten rock so the best thing to do if you see a lave flow
heading to your home is to pack as much as you can and evacuate the area.
To prepare for a volcanic eruption can involve making zones of risk around the volcano where are
most likely to suffer the worst of the damage and evacuate as many people in these zones as
possible which is what happened before the major eruption of Mt St Helens in 1980.

Performance Evaluation Self Critique
Section One Overall Performance Critique:
1.What did you do well in the meeting?
After going back and reviewing my performance evaluation of Sophia Barrow, I feel like I did a
very good job overall. The first thing I feel like I did well during the meeting was keeping the
conversation balanced. Keeping the conversation balanced and not talking too much was my main
issue going into the meeting. The next thing I feel like I did really well on was asking for her

Octavius Caesar was known as a cruel, power hungry leader, that had the desire and thirst, to
obtain all the power he could. Octavius had such a hunger for power, he wouldn t let anything stand
in his way of getting it.
Octavius Caesar, otherwise known as Caesar Augustus, was the first emperor of the Roman Empire.
Octavius was born in September of 63 B.C, and died sometime in august of 14 A.D. He lived to
be 76 years of age, there are many conspiracies that say his wife may have poisoned him, but
most people say he died of natural causes. Caesar had a lot of adoptive children, such as Gaius
and Lucius Caesar, Agrippa Postumus and Tiberius. Tiberius is the successor to the throne after
Caesar dies. Tiberius took the throne after Octavius died in 14 A.D.
Octavius was born into a family with few connections. He was a sickly child; he was small in
stature, with bad teeth and spots covering his body, with many birthmarks on his chest and belly.
Octavius was the great nephew of Julius Caesar; Julius Caesar won the civil war in 46 B.C, and
was named dictator of Rome Julius then said to the people I came, I saw, I conquered . Julius
needed and heir to succeed him. Having no children he adopted Octavius. His name was then
changed to Gaius Julius Caesar. Octavius did not learn of this until the assassination of Julius
Caesar, and it wasn t until the reading of Julius will that everyone learned that Octavius was now
the successor to Julius, and the power he had was going to Octavius.

Lydia Is Not The Wisest Person
What would you do if you discovered that the person you loved was a liar? In the book Pride
and Prejudice, a character by the name of Lydia falls in love with George Wickham. Lydia ignores
everything that the rest of her family says and marries George Wickham without their consent. All
who know this story and have any common sense can agree that Lydia was not the wisest person.
She makes a poor marriagechoice when she decides to run away with Mr. Wickham for three
reasons: Lydia was practically a child, Mr. Bennet her father, does not think too highly of Mr.
Wickham, and Mr. Wickham was not the same man in public as he was in private.
The first factor in her decision is that Lydia is still practically a child. Lydia, being very immature...

Wickham is not the same man in public as he is in private. Having a dreadful habit of gambling,
Mr. Wickham s debt steadily increased. Not having many finances with which to provide for Lydia
meant that she does not have a solid future. Also, Mr. Wickham is irresponsible with what little he
does have. George Wickham successfully manipulates many of the people whom he encounters to
suit his purposes.
Some people believe that Lydia made the correct decision when she chose to marry George
Wickham. During the early 1800s women were brought up to be able to run the house and not
necessarily to be well educated individuals. Marrying well and carrying on the legacy of the family
was the most important thing for women of that time. Her desperate need for attention has a major
impact on Lydia s choice. Since Lydia often acts like her mother, she does not think things through.
Not to mention the fact that being caught up in the thrills of love Lydia fell for Mr. Wickham, and
cannot be swayed to reconsider. Even though some people believe that Lydia made the correct
decision by marrying Mr. Wickham, she did not think through what consequences her actions could
have on her future, and did not worry about how her love, George Wickham, would provide for her

  • 2. Rosalind Franklin Stereotypes Throughout the ages, women have been have been subject to gender stereotypes, such as women should be at home, taking care of children and hearth, and should not be out conducting business, studying science, etc. If they were making progress outside the home, their work was often not credited properly, such in the case of Rosalind Franklin, whose photograph 51 evolved the fields of science, medicine and more. Rosalind Franklin was born in London, England in 1920 to a wealthy Jewish family. Though, her family valued education and public service, some sources say that her father did not believe in university education for women. Nevertheless, Franklin enrolled at Newnham Women s College at Cambridge University to study chemistry and physics. Franklin was part of a graduate fellowship, but she quit after one year, choosing to work at the British Coal Utilization Research Association (CURA). Her work there, which included studies of carbon and graphite microstructures, served as the basis for her Ph.D. thesis in physical chemistry at Cambridge in 1945. In 1947, she decided to move to Paris, where she worked in the Laboratoire Central des Services Chimiques de L Etat, learning X ray diffraction techniques from Jacques Mering, who was the head of the lab and is best remembered for his influence on Franklin. Just a few years later, in 1951, Franklin returned to England to work in John Randall s laboratory at King s College, London on a DNAproject that had been untouched for ... His battle with the Nemean Lion displays his strength, and serves as the start of a fascinating and exciting story of battle, conquest and immortalization. Even the Nemean Lion, immune to arrows and blades, can succumb to the might of the Greek Warrior Herakles, a symbol of the Greek people themselves. However, this is no ordinary lion, this lion cannot be penetrated by an arrow or sword and its skin is tougher than any armour. He would then skin the animal by using its own claws. On his return King Eurystheus was equally amazed and horrified. It is not an option just yet, Marcel said as he alternated watching the road and the rearview mirror. Saban took a deep breath, exhaled, closed his eyes, and shook his head. Shit! What is wrong? asked Saban. I believe we are being followed. What are you going to do? Be quiet and let me think. Marcel grabbed a pistol from his waistband, flipped off the safety, and held it in his hand as a dark colored sedan sped close to the rear of their auto. • 6. The USAF and Future Leaders The USAF invests a lot of time and money in developing future leaders. In fact it established four schools geared toward developing its enlisted force at different levels of leadership. Those schools are the Airmen Leadership School (ALS), Non commissioned Officer Academy (NCOA), and Senior Non Commissioned Academy (SNCO), and the Chief School. All four schools focus on developing the leadership and management skills needed to supervise, manage, and lead people at each level of responsibility. The military as a whole has long history of leadership training and development (Gibson, 2005). The accomplishment of the mission is paramount for any military organization. Leadership is the determining factor in obtaining that goal. USAF defines leadership as the impact of personal influence and persuasion upon followers to direct the accomplishment of objectives. Leadership is not restricted to senior management and leadership, but is expected throughout all ranks. Gibson (2005, p2) states effective leadership is imperative to the achievement of military missions and the perception of the appropriate individuals, regardless of tenor, as leaders is paramount to this effectiveness. The way leaders interact and manage people has a direct bearing on employees job performance and satisfaction. Too often in the USAF many leaders employ an authoritative leadership style at the expense of people. Others fail to engage their followers at all. The assumption in the USAF is that ... • 8. Freud s Worst Nightmare Perfect Sex Dream Brendan Gosse Cynthia Miller Making Monsters October 9, 2014 Freud s Worst Nightmare Perfect Sex Dream In her article, author Barbra Creed discusses a wide range of theories and assumptions on Freud and his relation to modern cinema, memories, and the development of the original horror film. She begins by describing Freud and his obsession with horror. She briefly mentions some of his case histories that entail themes of sexual abuse, hysteria, bestiality, phobias, and perversity, but primarily continues to inform us of his hatred of cinema. Considering Freud was born in 1856, he was just reaching his mid 50 s when early cinema really took off. Films and movies became the forefront of entertainment, the must see attraction by audiences across the country, and the newest daring art form. This was, however, an art form that Sir Sigmund Freud wanted nothing to do with. Despite having several films be inspired by his theories and writings, Freud refused to become involved with films and filmmaking, and even avoided being captured on camera in his daughter s home videos. The reason for this hatred however, is neglected and left questionable by Creed. The author points out that early cinema was known for stretching the boundaries on narrative filmmaking by incorporating elements of sex, desire, and eroticism, which were, of course, main focuses of Freud s countless writings. She continues her analysis by efficiently describing the modern self and the divided self: two ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Jack and Simon in Chapter Three of the Lord of the Flies In the Lord of the Flies, William Golding makes many contrasts between his symbolic characters. For example in chapter three, Huts on the beach , many contrasts and similarities are made between the two characters Jack and Simon. These descriptions give an idea to their personality and feelings. The description of Simon in the jungle, and Jack in the woods highlights many of their differences. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This clearly shows an unusual ability Simon has, and resembles a Jesus figure, the descriptions, in contrast to the wood Jack is in, seem surreal, and tranquil. Jack in the wood is set with, a sharpened stick about five feet long , reflecting a threatening, tense atmosphere. Simon is with the littuns and he is shown to be generous and caring, as he, found for them the fruit they could not reach, pulled of the choicest . This is an example of the effort Simon took to be caring for others. This is also shown by Simon s willingness to help with the building of the huts, when all the others ran away, leaving the responsibility to Ralph. This shows he is considerate to others. Jack, however is extremely unwilling to help with the huts, and is annoyed when Ralph gives Simon gratitude for helping, as when Simon is not by the huts Jack tries to make up excuses like, got fed up , and, he s buzzed off , trying to make Simon in the wrong. Jack is obsessed about catching a pig and seems to want to catch one for the enjoyment, rather than the food it would give. Jacks obsession is shown after Ralph has been expressing how upset he is that no one helps with the hut, when he bluntly comments, we need meat and when Ralph mentions rescue, Jack says, I d like to catch a pig first and is not prepared to keep the fire going for rescue purposes. I did planned and guided my members and explain them how we will work in that activity according to my mindset and priorities. The problem I experienced was that regardless of the understanding between group members, I was still not able to guide my colleagues to perform as I expected. The main reason for me not delivering what I expected was that I didn t accounted for other member s thoughts and priorities. I would want my child to maintain their sense of normalcy naturally versus giving them medication to keep them at a zoned (zombie stage) level. The bottom line is there are other ways to help your child focus in school and outside of school without giving them ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Federalists And Democratic Republicans From 1789 to 1816, the Federalists and Democratic Republicans approached many problems differently, sometimes however, they had the same solutions to problems which were posed by England and the Native Americans. The Federalists and Democratic Republicans both had different and sometimes similar viewpoints on how to solve the problems they faced during this particular time period. Federalists supported a strong, huge government that had a loose constriction of the constitution. They also supported the National Bank, exercise tax. Also, they thought tariffs should be high, and they believed in an industrial world filled with huge businesses and mass production of goods. However, the Democratic Republicans wanted a more agrarian culture. They did not want a huge government, National bank, excise taxes, and they wanted the tariffs to be low. Some difficulties that the two parties faced were that the British created were impressments of sailors, assisting the Native Americans in war against the United States, and the Orders in Council of 1805. The Native Americans also generated problems for America because they resisted land expansion. Because of their standards and beliefs, this shows how the two parties faced these particular problems that were caused by Britain and the Native Americans. In order to improve the AAT method, it needs to compare the reconstruction of temperature and wind velocity of RBF methods with synthetic data to quantify the amount of error. The deviation of ray path will be investigated, from nominal straight line caused by variation in sound speed. For the first step, it is required to employ improved ray path geometry calculations. Then, arrival time correction of the ray will be considered. The Poetry of Denise Levertov Denise Levertov was a unique poet by intertwining mysterious images in her poetry, often directing the reader towards themes, such as myth and nature (William Doreski 272). The film explains how the history of the housing market, how the crisis began, and introduced all of the people and companies involved. The most important aspect of the movie was that the crisis was foreseen, but nothing was done to prevent it. The three main characters are Michael Burry, Jared Vennett, and Mark Baum. Burry was the first to recognize the faulty practices of the housing market, and bet against the market. His actions caught the attention of Vennett and Baum, which led them to investigate the housing market, and bet against it as well. Let s start in the upper atmosphere and work our way down to the surface. The stratosphere (that part of the atmosphere above the wispy clouds extending nearly 30 miles above the surface) contains ~97 percent of the ozone on the planet. This ozone is considered extremely beneficial and is, in fact, essential for life as we know it. Ozone has the very special property of absorbing the highly energetic ultraviolet (UV) rays that come from the sun. This partial absorption of UV light protects life from the complications that result when life forms are exposed to elevated levels of it. In humans, UV light might be desirous to someone attempting to get a tan, but it is very damaging to our eyes (via cataracts), contributes in the creation of cancerous skin cells, produces age spots, and stimulates wrinkles. (Despite the fact that our culture tends to admire tanned skin, the process of tanning is actually a sign of skin damage.) Many plants also show signs of reduced productivity when exposed to higher UV levels. Thus, stratospheric ozone is a blessing to all of life because of its ability to absorb (and therefore block) much of the UV light from reaching the earth s surface. In the lower atmosphere, particularly near the surface, ozone isn t so beneficial. Often a primary ingredient in smog, ozone causes damage in lung when inhaled. Natural Law Theory derived from Aquinas because Aquinas just couldn t believe that Godwould have expectations for us if he didn t also give us all of us a way to meet them. They allow various configurations, settings, parameters, etc. to be compared so that the best values for a given scenario can be identified. However, this wasn t achieved without great sacrifice from the average man as standing up for their rights was a brave act that usually resulted in consequences. • 34. My Position From A Kantian Perspective Essay The Categorical Debate George told Martha where a large sum of money he had accumulated was stored. He asked her to see that the money was given to the Society for Protection against Alien Control of the Earth (SPACE). Now that he has died, she is considering using the money to support the activities of the local Hunger Task Force, an organization that provides donated food to those who need it. What should Martha do? My position from a Kantian perspective is that Martha should give the money to the Society for Protection against Alien Control of the Earth (SPACE) because of the agreement Martha made with George before he died. I shall present arguments to support my position from a Kantian perspective by setting the precedence demonstrated by Kant as is evidence in duty and moral obligation. I will also present arguments to refute the utilitarian position that Martha should use the money to support the activities of the local Hunger Task Force, an organization that provides donated food to those who need it. As well as the arguments present by Kants catergorical imperative. Kant ascribes Duty means that we should never act in any way that we wouldn t want the principle we act on to be a universal law. Which in effect is something that is done as part of a job or because the law requires it. Here, Martha agreed to ensure that the money left by George be given to (SPACE) therefore Martha should abide by Georges wishes since her job required ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. News From Nowhere By William Morris Essay William Morris novel News from Nowhere is portrayed as a utopic vision of a world that not only abolishes the class system, but is created through the transition from working in order to survive to working for the pleasure of it. Consequently, his novel may seem only as a vision due to its idealistic reasoning as to how his portrayed world dependant on nature and people s nature could possibly exist and support itself. Even though this is merely theory on his part, his essay Useful Work versus Useless Toil supports a better understanding of Morris conceptualization of enjoyable labour within his ideal future society in his novel News from Nowhere because it suggests how finding pleasure in doing work leads to a better and enlightened society. Morris clearly separates labour between pre and post revolution by highlighting and redefining the terms civilization and society in which a true society is only possible once the class system is destroyed and people are treated as equals. In the novel, the narrator William Guest asks Hammond how his 19th century world shifted to the elder s, and the answer is the revolution leading to the abolishment of social class. According to Hammond, he defines civilization as organized misery in which he criticizes the class system for denigrating the lower classes into subservient people unknowingly supporting and enriching the middle and upper classes while scrapping by with little reward to their own lifestyle (Morris 125). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Scandinavia women were thought to be evil if they had a higher power role in society over men. This is displayed in Scandinavian literature about the story of Queen Gunnhilder, in her stories she was described as being malevolent and her nickname was Destructive Prima Donna by one scholar. A real life example would be an incident that occurred in 1466. A woman named Г†lseby, called another man s wife a wretch which in Norse means (sklak), and the son of a whore. Г†lseby was once again causing trouble a few years after this previous incident; after another woman had said to Г†lseby that she was a tramp who wished her husband dead , Г†lseby went to the woman s house and started beating her up. Many would stereotype Г†lseby has a quarrelsome woman who is commonly associated with being a witch. Mitchell takes Г†lseby behavior a step further by referencing other scholars who said that back during this time period women like Г†lseby who was regarded as contentious, outspoken, troublesome... were considered to be evil women. As previously mentioned, many historians who write about witch hunting often come across various works about witchcraft beliefs from witch hunters who believed that women had sexual relations with the devil or other demons and spirits. Analyzing the Knowledge of Plate Tectonics Essay Analyzing the Knowledge of Plate Tectonics In order to manage anything successfully you need to have some sort of basic knowledge about what you are managing, otherwise you may be doing more harm than good because something seems the right thing to do without any basis in fact or visual evidence. If you know why something happens it will be easier to predict future plate tectonic movement by looking for the signs of an approaching earthquake or volcanic eruption and so minimizing the danger by taking the actions necessary because so far it is impossible to stop them and if it were the earth would not be able to release its underground pressure and shake itself apart so prevention is not an option. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In order to prepare for earthquakes, people living in earthquake zones need to be educated about them and know what to do in an emergency such as standing under doorways or having emergency tools, which can be hard in the LEDW as the information may not be readily available in the rural areas and buildings in the urban areas may not be built to withstand them as doing so would be too expensive but they can still have supplies of food and other such items to survive if they are involved in an earthquake. Volcanoes are harder to prepare for as they can cause more damage, which cannot be avoided by standing under a doorframe. Houses are not easily be reinforced to withstand a volcanic eruption, they can be strengthened to endure the vibrations caused by the eruption but not usually against lava flows as not many things can stand the high temperatures and even if they could the house would be buried under rapidly cooling molten rock so the best thing to do if you see a lave flow heading to your home is to pack as much as you can and evacuate the area. To prepare for a volcanic eruption can involve making zones of risk around the volcano where are most likely to suffer the worst of the damage and evacuate as many people in these zones as possible which is what happened before the major eruption of Mt St Helens in 1980. ... After going back and reviewing my performance evaluation of Sophia Barrow, I feel like I did a very good job overall. The first thing I feel like I did well during the meeting was keeping the conversation balanced. Keeping the conversation balanced and not talking too much was my main issue going into the meeting. The next thing I feel like I did really well on was asking for her opinion on her ratings of herself throughout the meeting. To be an effective salesmanager you need to understand the reasons behind the ratings the reps are giving themselves. I am very pleased with my performance overall and feel excellent about the outcome of the meeting. 2.How effective do you think the meeting was for the salesperson you evaluated, and what cues and evidence lead you to this conclusion? I think the meeting was very effective for Sophia Barrow because she always seemed to agree with my ratings or at least adjust her ratings of herself after our discussion. With that being said I feel like she was very happy and surprised with the promotion I offered her. I think this was a big clue that the meeting was very effective overall. Another piece of evidence that I used to evaluate the effectiveness of the meeting was the fact that she seemed to really be on the same ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Wickham is not the same man in public as he is in private. Having a dreadful habit of gambling, Mr. Wickham s debt steadily increased. Not having many finances with which to provide for Lydia meant that she does not have a solid future. Also, Mr. Wickham is irresponsible with what little he does have. George Wickham successfully manipulates many of the people whom he encounters to suit his purposes. Some people believe that Lydia made the correct decision when she chose to marry George Wickham. During the early 1800s women were brought up to be able to run the house and not necessarily to be well educated individuals. Marrying well and carrying on the legacy of the family was the most important thing for women of that time. Her desperate need for attention has a major impact on Lydia s choice. Since Lydia often acts like her mother, she does not think things through. Not to mention the fact that being caught up in the thrills of love Lydia fell for Mr. Wickham, and cannot be swayed to reconsider.
