Character Analysis Of Snoop Dogg
I will be talking about 3 characters that I feel personally have the same character concepts as me
like Snoop Dogg. We share plenty of the same interest but that is for you to read and find out. All
three of these characters I visualize are in myself because of the experiences I ve had are exactly
like them. I seem to have the same personalities as them so I suggest I am a very active person but
very mellow as well like I donВґt need to be rushed unless it is important. The three fictional
characters that most represent my personality are Biggie Smalls for his/her legendary rapping
skills about his life and was very wise person but not the smartest, Jordan Belfort for his amazing
creativity and being stupid smart, and Snoop Doggfor his... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This was his time to shine and let the people know his voice and overcome. With this being said I
also have had at least a similar experience to the character. I was basically more of a savage back in
my freshmen year of highschool. Although I was not a dropout like him I always got in trouble in
school and outside in public because I didnВґt care. I would ditch, steal, drugs, hangout with other
lil savages like me and this is just recipe for disaster and had my run ins with the law. Ended up
doing 6 months probation with 60 hour community service. But drawing was always another
side of me my peers did not really know about and I enjoy really well. Its like you are working
but it doesn t feel like it because of all the joy you get out of it. A hobby that I do not get bored of
just creating spectacular ideas from my mind. This helped me because it made me question more
about my life and what adventures this subject can bring out of me. Instead of all the bad
influence I was seeing and causing earlier. It was like basically still continue the old life I was
living or embrace a new journey with creating art. I have found this to be very satisfying, like a
form of addiction but in a good way. This helped me because it made me question more about my
life and what adventures this subject can bring out of me. Instead of all the bad influence I was

Hercules And April Struggle To Know Their True Identity
It is very important for someone to know their true identity. If you don t know who you are then
how will you apply for a job? How will make friends or find a spouse without knowing who you
really are? All these things that are important in the human life depends on us knowing who we
really are. If not, all the opportunities that rely on us knowing who we are, they will be gone. An
example is like someone saying, Hey what s your favorite color? Then you say, a color, I don t
know. Another example is Hercules, he doesn t know who he is, he keeps searching and
searching, trying to be like others but he really isn t. April wears a mask to cover up her identity, she
is different than all the other kids, so she tries to fit in with a mask but she still ends up different....

First, both Hercules and April struggle to find their true identity in themselves. They just don t
know who they are, so they try to fit in with others. Second, even though April and Hercules do
everything the others do, they still don t fit in, they are a lot more unique than all the other
people. Finally, Hercules and April are both judged or looked at negatively by others. When
April takes off the mask, everyone s body language says, Who is she? or, Uh, she is not like us
so she doesn t fit in. Hercules as a child tried to play with other boys but they always turned him
down. April and Hercules are similar by how they try to solve the problem of their missing identity,
how they still don t fit in even if they change, and finally, how others look upon

Archduke Marcz Ferdinand Research Paper
No other political murder in modern history has had such momentous consequences as the
assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand. He was the heir to the Habsburg empire, and the
first to fall victim to political homicide. Unlike some constitutional monarchies in Western Europe,
the Habsburgs had failed to modernize their multinational state. They used force to defend their
institutions, and they were faced with a mass of revolutionary movements in Italy and Hungary.
Although the Sarajevoassassins were Bosnians and thus Austro Hungarian citizens, and although
they had plotted against the Habsburg dignitaries for years, three leading members of the
conspiracy, Princip, Cabrinovic, and Grebez, came to Sarajevo from Belgrade.

Sunwind A.B. A Case Study
Introduction
On November 14, 2000 Olav Larsson, Managing Director of Sunwind, eased back in his seat as
his A380 climbed away from Tokyo s Narita Airport to begin the 17 hour flight to Gothenburg,
Sweden. He was returning from a 10 day trip to Japan where he had visited factories of Nissan
and Mazda as well as a number of their parts suppliers. This visit had reinforced his conviction that
Sunwind should initiate a proposal to Volvo, its major customer, that Just In Time delivery of floor
lids1 be made directly onto its 700 series automobile assembly lines at Torslanda, near Gothenburg,
Kalmer, a port city on Sweden s east cost, and at Ghent in Belgium.
Lars, a graduate engineer, had previous managerial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Average weekly requirements in 2001 were expected to approach 1,400 units. Lars estimated
Sunwind s current single shift capacity at approximately 1,250 units/week. To achieve this, he had
hired an additional 20 people at the beginning of August and established three shift operations on a
numerically controlled milling machine used to shape plywood parts.
Effective capacity was actually less than 1,250 units/week due to equipment failures, e.g. the
gluing machine had proved particularly troublesome and had increased rejects. Recent causes of
the rejects included seeping through the carpeting that covered the plywood forms. Volvo had also
rejected a shipment of floor lids due to differences in the shade of carpeting covering the four
separate pieces which made up a floor lid.
Such difficulties could not have come a worse time, when Lars was already concerned by the
world wide trend of major manufacturers in the automobile industry to rely on fewer suppliers.
He knew that Toyota, which industry observers continually cited for its productivity gains, relied
on only 320 suppliers, while Volvo had over 600. Headlines such as Volvo will reduce number of
suppliers; pressure on sub contractors in Dagens Nyheter, one of Sweden s major daily
newspapers, did not help his peace of mind.
He was also aware that Just In Time deliveries had been implemented recently

Sifaka Research Paper
The Coquerel s Sifaka (Propithecus verrauxi coquerii) is a species of lemur found exclusively in
Madagascar. Their bodies are covered in thick, coarse fur that is white on their torsos and dark
reddish brown on their fore and hindlimbs, with dark faces and white noses. P. coquerii are a
diurnal species of folivorous and frugivorous primates that live in either deciduous or evergreen
forests, and typically weigh 3.4 3.6 kg. Females are dominant over males, and they typically
congregate in one maleone female mating pairs or multi male multi female social groups. Males
will compete for dominance in order to be able to mate with females in the group. Lemurs exhibit
more scent marking behaviors than most other primates, and use their throat, wrist, and anogenital
glands to scent mark their habitats and signal to other lemurs. The Bronx Zoo has two adult
Coquerel s sifakas in its exhibit, one male and one female. The exhibit is the first that guests see in
the zoo s Madagascar hall, which houses ring tailed lemurs, red ruffed lemurs, and other animals
from the region. The Coquerel s sifaka exhibit itself is tall but relatively narrow, extending

enclosure with only two leaps in just seconds. However, because the enclosure was relatively
narrow, the sifakas were unable to leap more than one to two times in a row unless a vertical
aspect was part of the movement. If more than two solely horizontal leaps had been attempted,
they would have crashed into the walls. When descending down trees or the stone walls of the
enclosure, the sifakas preferred to descend rump first, but would leap to another tree as soon as the
action was possible, seeming to avoid climbing style

Starship Troopers Quotes Of Father
Johnny Rico, the main character in the book Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein, is a very
simple minded boy, not entirely passionate about his opinions and easily conforming to what
others tell him he should believe or do. The people that guided him towards his goals, beliefs, and
dreams, though, were the several father figures displayed through the book. His actual father (i.e.,
Emilio Rico), his high school History and Moral Philosophy teacher (i.e., Dubois), and his training
sergeant (i.e., Zim), were all the most prominent examples of father like figures in the novel by
Heinlein. In making these few people father like figures to Johnny, Heinlein puts a clear image of
what the ideal father figure is like someone who challenges their... Show more content on

Throughout the novel, Johnny trains and trains and Zim appears to be a strong and independant
character, but behind his fierce and individualistic nature, he shows a more solicitous side. In the
book, Zim makes a mistake during a training session that results in the flogging of a recruit
private. Acknowledging his fault, he requests a transfer to a combat squad to, in his own eyes,
redeem himself of that very fault. He even tells the Battalion Commander that he wished to the
heavens that he could have taken the flogging himself, also having of previously stated that the
whole lot of them were a nice bunch of kids and would turn out to be good soldiers. In saying
these things, Zim shows a more caring side, but still retaining his powerful image. Heinlein, having
of written Zim to feel shame at the consequences of one of his own faults being carried out on an
innocent man, he shows that a father figure should feel remorse when necessary, but remain strong
and independant as the ideal father or father figure should

The Structure And Building Of Sophisticated Tunnels
In the mining world, there are three different types of tunnels. There are rudimentary,
interconnecting, and sophisticated but this paper will only focus on the structure and building of
sophisticated tunnels. Some features of a sophisticated tunnel are that it reach as deep as seventy
feet underground and tall and wide enough for an adult to walk through or for a mine cart to be
pushed through. When building these sophisticated tunnels, first the earth is chipped away by
handheld electric spades and the workers are filling sandbags with dirt and rocks in order to have
the clearest pathway in the tunnel. Then the rail systems tart to get set up where it s just a large
metal crate connected to an electric pulley system in order to get the sandbags with dirt and rocks
out of the tunnel.
A structural feature about these tunnels is that the ceiling would be slightly arched in order to
distribute the pressure and weight of the earth to prevent a collapse. Another feature of
sophisticated tunnels is the ventilation when a black plastic tubes connected by pipe clamps
would be affixed to the top of the tunnel in order to provide oxygen for the workers. The rail
system that was in sophisticated tunnels was two metal tracks that were laid down to bring debris
to the surface by the elevator in order to get it out of the way. In sophisticated tunnels, usually there
would be wood or concrete enforcement along the walls in order to prevent the tunnel from caving
in.

Effects Of Socialization
Socialization is defined as the process by which individuals acquire thoughts, feelings, and
behaviors appropriate to their positions in society, (Rohall 149). Individuals experience
socialization beginning the day they are born, and throughout most of their lives. It can occur
through everyday observation and interaction at every stage of development, or it can occur more
formally though education and mentors. Socializationis important to how individuals interact in
society and it also plays a part in most aspects of social psychology. An important aspect of
socialization is our agents of socialization. Agents of socialization are the groups in the individuals

In a study titled Racial Socialization and Racial Identity: African AmericanParents Messages about
Race as Precursors to Identity, Enrique Neblett looked at the patterns of racial socialization in a
sample of 358 African American adolescents and identified 3 patterns of socialization
experiences, High Positive, Moderate Positive, and Low Frequency (Neblett 189). The study
found that a large portion of children reported that their parents highly emphasized on racial
pride as well as taught them about racial barriers. The remaining children provided information
that not all parents convey messages about race to their children. This shows that some
individuals agents of socialization play a large role in their understanding of their race. In the
study, they also state that African Americans awareness of race makes it possible for them to
grapple with the significance of being African American (Neblett 189). The children that were
categorized as having High Positive or Moderate Positive experiences with socialization are going
to be more apt to understand their socialized position in society. This is important because a strong
ethnic identity is associated with greater psychological well being, (Rohall 153). Therefore,
children, especially children from minority groups, who are socialized to have a strong identity and
can understand the significance of being a specific race, are more

Identification And Identification Of Fingerprints
Exactly how unique are fingerprints ?
Background
Fingerprint classification was first introduced by Jan Evangelista Purkinje in 1823 as described in
the article Clinics to Dermatology. Fingerprints have since been used in the forensic science world
as an accepted tool in criminology and used for the identification of people. Fingerprints was built
on the theory that all fingerprints are unique, no two are alike. Thus fingerprints are considered a
type of individual evidence, evidence that can pinpoint a specific person Purkinje, a Czech
physiologist, divided the lines found in a fingerprint into nine types, each based on their geometric
arrangement. Every human being is said to have a different combination of shapes and lines thus

A fingerprint is defined by Mark R Hawthorne in Fingerprints: Analysis and understanding as the
impression or reproduction left on any material by the friction skin of the fingers, Most often we
see the impression left by fingertips or the bulb of the finer (pg.19). Minutiae is a term often used
when discussing fingerprints which refers to the major features of a fingerprint, using which
comparisons of one print with another can be made.
Fingerprint Database
When forensic scientists look at fingerprints there is no set number as to exactly how many
characteristics of a fingerprints, or it s minutiae they have to look at. Currently the FBI
recommends look at twelve minutiae twelve different sites or points in a print. When a fingerprint
is found at a crime scene it is usually first ran the the fingerprint identification system to see it can

national automated fingerprint identification and criminal history system that is maintained by the
Federal Bureau of Investigation or the FBI for short. This system holds the fingerprints of any

the US military or government. According the FBI s web page on IAFIS, it is the largest criminal

Feminist Analysis Of Medea
Classical Greek society placed great emphasis on it citizens fulfilling their social and moral
obligations on the principle of sophrosyne, that is finding the balance between their reason and
passions. Controversially, the eponymous protagonist in Euripides tragedy, Medea, challenges all
beliefs of balance seeking instead to exact her retribution on Jason. In the process, Euripides
explores the characters rationalisations and motives behind their decisions and its repercussions.
Jason leaves Medea for fortune and prestige ultimately being the catalyst behind Medea s
determination to seek vengeance. In doing so, Jason describes her as a lioness not a woman,
highlighting the potential forces that women are capable of unleashing, accentuating... Show more

After Medea is betrayed, she epitomises perfectly the proverbial woman scorned determined to
ensure a bloodbath as she sinks into abysmal hopelessness and despair. At each stage of her
scheme, Medea exercises careful judgement, knowing exactly what to say at the right time to the
right person. She is able to manipulate Creon, Aegus and ultimately Jason to formulate
circumstances and opportunities to seek retribution and to reciprocate the injustices that befall her.
Medea s meticulously cunning revenge, cursing her children of a bewitched mother is judiciously
complemented by a pathological lack of remorse for her husband and children. Although the
ancient and modern audience may agree in Jason deserving punishment to some extent, it is
Medea s act of infanticide is where the line is drawn. However, in leaving Medea unpunished,
Euripides disposes the traditional theatrical rational resolution for the villain but instead invokes a
masterstroke of divine intervention using the device deus ex machina allowing her to have good
fortune and help from Helios and divine protection on her side. This not only leaves the ancient
and modern audience querying at society s obsession with morality in the face of such an abjectly
irrational denouement but simultaneously forces the audience to question their own sense
perception and justice. Medea s actions are Dionysian guided. Her emotions are liberated,
shattering all sense of society s moral boundaries that confines her. The dichotomy between a
lioness and a woman aims to highlight Medea as a powerful and regal creature. As a lioness, she is
able to truly be a mistress of the systematic dysfunctional Greek society that subjugates its

Analysis Of Michael Harvey s The Hero Essay
WRITING ASSIGNMENT 2
Michael Barlow
Saint Leo University
When I think of a hero, I think of someone who is not only mentally strong, but has the endurance
to go the distance. We all have has some heroes in our lives. Just ask any kid these days who their
hero is. I am sure you will hear a familiar name such as, Superman, Spiderman, Ironman and the
most recent one my son says is the Avengers. They are the best superhero in the world, but I say to
my son what about all the hero that are no on the TV. He looks at me like I have lost my mind.
I look at the hero, and I see a broad variety of hero aside from the comic books, but in everyday
people that go through life doing the very same thing as we do. Not all hero s wear red capes and
masks to hide their identities. If you look at the day to day people like the fire department and the
police department, those are some of the best heroes. They volunteer every day to keep people
out harm s way while in most cases placing their own lives in jeopardy to save lives. Those
people do whatever it takes to get the job done with little to no recognition of what they have
done besides the self satisfaction and a pat on the back for a good job.
Another example of hero s that stands out to me would be the U.S. service members who are
serving in all branches of the military. These guys and gals are volunteers that decide to serve their
country from whatever the reason weather it was a family tradition or they sought the

Air Pollution In China
It is no secret that China is one of the fastest growing countries in the nation, and over the past 3
decades China has had the fastest economic growth over all major nations. In conjunction to China
s economic development and industrialization comes the excessive burning of coal as a source of
energy. According to china s ministry of environmental protection 9 out of 10 cities have such
robust developed economy that they fail the countries pollution test. Manufacturing activities are
the leading cause of environmental problems, And as the country continues to burn coal the
country shows dangerous signs of apocalyptic levels. China is the world s largest polluter and
they burn almost as much coal as the rest of the world combined. Industrial areas outside the city
burn coal around the clock in order to power factories, high winds carry particulatematter
throughout the country, not only affecting rural areas, but urban communities as well. China s
reasons for using coal as an energy source, as opposed to alternatives, are that they have a huge
resource for coal as well as it is an inexpensive and reliable source of energy. Although, burning
coal is on the decline, it is still a large part of China s energy structure. It is visibly evident that
China s air pollutionis at a frightening all time high. These highly toxic particulate matter levels are
not only concerning for the 21 million residents of Beijing, but as well as the rest of the world.

The radio was an important part of life from the 1920s until the 1950s (mortaljourney.com).
People turned to the radio for entertainment like music and stories. Even preachers began to
preach over the radio that was heard by a large group. During the war, radios produced
information on current events otherwise they would not have known unless the radio was

the first way mass communication was even possible. They are one the greatest inventions that

various uses. The Crystal radio was the first radio product to be sold. It only cost six dollars
when it was first made (mortaljourney.com). The crank radio and the solar powered radio run on

war torn love story of two star crossed lovers and simultaneously the life long struggle of a girl
who feels she, and her lies, are responsible for keeping the couple apart. It is not until the end of
the novel that readers are told Briony Tallis, the aforementioned young troubled girl, wrote the

When her play, The Tales of Arabella fails to succeed as she had anticipated, she feels as if she is
a failure and has no control, a concept she has not experienced before. As seen through her
mental depiction of Arabella and disappointment when Lola had assumed the role and had paled
in comparison to her standards, Briony suffers from an inability to grasp reality and maintains
exacerbated views of what things should be like and how she is fully capable of keeping things
are under control. This necessary sense for control extends past her dawn of her selfhood into
her adulthood and end of her life when she is still trying to make amends with Robbie and

Tinker s Wedding Essay
This chapter examine two tinker women characters named sarah casey, who wants to be married
in order to gain dignity and be viewed as respectable in the eyes of society;and her mother in law
Mary Byrne, a drunkard who opposes such an institution. Like all of Synge s plays, the basic plot
of The Tinker s Weddingderives from folk stories of Irish culture. In fact, the play represents a
dramatisation of folk stories told In Wicklow and West Kerry. In the first essay of this prose work
The Vagrants of Wicklow, a man on the side of a mountain to the east of Aughavanna, in Wicklow
tells his observations about the tinkers he saw. He mentions the vigorous lifestyle and the marriage
customs of the roaming tinkers and tramps. He says that one time he saw fifty of them on the
road and [t]hey are gallous lads for walking through the world and one of these lads would swap
the woman he had with one from another man, with as much talk as if you d be selling a cow
(Synge, In Wicklow 5). The second source Synge would use in his play is the tale of tinkers
bargaining with a priest to marry them for money and a tin... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

However, this time Synge does not represent the settled common people of his country. Instead, he
represents a peripatetic community rather than a settled community in Ireland. Thus, the characters
change from the fishermen of the Aran Islands to the tinkers of the County Wicklow. Deborah
Fleming asserts that [i]n all of J. M. Synge s plays except Riders to the Sea, the heroes reject the
respectable life offered them by society and community (139). The characterisation of The Tinker
s Wedding is a good example for this. In Riders to the Sea, the characters are isolated from
civilisation due to their living conditions on a remote and isolated island. In The Tinker s Wedding,
on the other hand, the geographical conditions are not the reason for the characters isolation and

The Norfolk and Sothern railway has been honored as the safest railway in the world. This railway

It was discovered that the amount of people who had favoured the film over the book and vice

The Hobbit, Or There And Back Again Essay
The Hobbit, or There and Back Again, is a high fantasy novel written by JRR Tolkien and
published in the year 1937. Spanning a proper 300 pages it contains an adventure of grand
proportions; detailing the exploits of one Bilbo Baggins and his attempts in aiding a band of 13
dwarves to reclaim a lost treasure. Although commonly intended for a child audience, The Hobbit
does include subtle hints of adult like themes and motifs such as conflict between different races
and the corrupting factor of wealth. Tolkien has been accredited as the father of modern high
fantasy for his The Lord of the Ringstrilogy of which The Hobbit is a prequel.
Furthermore it is crucial to know of Joseph Campbell and his ideas of the monomyth. The late
Joseph Campbell was described as an American mythologist having laid the groundwork in both
contemporary comparative mythology and comparative religion. Campbell s work is extensive
and intersects many attributes of the human experience. It is distinctly Campbell s efforts in
generating his monomyth concept which interest many today. The monomyth concept recognizes
all myth based works as being a ploy on one form or original story. This is due to common
patterns incorporated in a vast majority of myth based works inattentive of time and place of
origin. This original story incorporates a hero s call to adventure, his or hers crossing of a
threshold, their dealings within a climax and or final battle followed by their return.

German Economy Essay
Economics
The German economy is the largest in Europe and worldwide Germany has the fifth largest
economy ( World fact book , n.d.). It is clear that the German economy holds a key position in
the world marketplace. Gross domestic product (GDP) growth is an important consideration for
foreign investment as it speaks to the overall health of an economy. GDP growth can be
attributed to spending and investments both on and from imports and exports ( What is GDP ,
2005). In 2014 the reported GDP growth rate in Germany was 1.4%, up .9 % from the prior year
( World fact book n.d.). The Eurozone was deeply affected by a recession stemming from the US
and made worse by poor economic conditions in Greece and Spain, among other countries in ...

In 2014 trade as share of GDP was 70.8 percent, down less than three percent from the two years
prior ( Merchandise trade , n.d.). This is one of those areas in which only time will tell whether
Germany will continue to prosper and be the financial backbone of the Eurozone.
GDP per capita is also an important indicator of economic health. GDP per capita takes the total
output of a country and divides it by the number of people in a countries population; this
indicated the buying power of individuals. GDP per capita in Germany as reported for 2014 was
slightly over 47,000 USD ( Countries with the largest , n.d.). Looking at GDP per capita when
compared to other countries in the Eurozone Germany is not fairing so well. Luxembourg leads
the world wide GDP per capita and that of the Eurozone with a high rate of 116,750 USD (
Countries with the largest , n.d.). Worldwide Germany ranks 16th in the Eurozone, Germany was
beat out by Austria, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg and the Netherlands in GDP per capita (
Countries with the largest , n.d.). While the GDP per capita rate in Germany is stronger than many
other countries it is not competitive with other countries which have economies comparable in size
to Germany nor economies centrally located in the Eurozone.
A low inflation rate averaging .91 percent for 2014 should help to increase purchases in Germany.

The Australian Government Essay
When you think of the land down under you don t really think of the kind of government they have.
I chose to write about the Australian government because I really don t hear much about Australia.
It currently has a pretty interesting story to tell when it comes to their government. I became a bit
interested in Australian politics when I saw a political animated cartoon on the internet that
depicted Kevin Rudd, the last Prime Minister, on a news television show and it was quite
humorous. I am going to give a quick history lesson on Australiathen go into how the government
formed and came to be. Then I will talk about the Australian constitution, the Australian arms of

Penal colonies are places when some send their inmates to be exiled. It was said that about 160,000
people were brought into Australia. Many Europeans decided to immigrate to Australia and because
of this and after a while the economy and colonies of Australia, under the British rule, started to
grow (Austrailian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade).
Now I shall talk about how the Australian Constitution. It s common knowledge to know that a
constitution is pretty much the law of the land and a foundation of the laws that rule there.
Constitutions are very important for countries to have. Helen Irving explains in The Oxford
Companion of Australian Politics that, Its Preamble records the agreement of the six Australian
colonies to federate in 1901 and to remain together as one indissoluble federal Commonwealth .
The Australian Constitution was written as a bill when the colonies met in 1890. The constitution
has a full draft by the end of 1891 but colonial parliaments failed to pass it (Irving).
It took about 10 years in 1901 that the constitution was finally ratified. They were finally an

Comparison Of Bernard Shaw And John Bulls Other Island
During the period of Bernard Shaw and John Bulls Other Island furthermore, John Millington

include a real Ireland , an Ireland seen during the first decade of the twentieth century and a
progression of Ireland, how Ireland would come to be known. Through further examination we
are able to not only prove that this style of writing was seen in both of their works, but also
provide some reasoning into why it was seen. John Bulls Other Island is a playwright written by
Bernard Shaw in 1904. In order to put the playwright into context I believe that it is necessary to

Uneducated Irishmen like Haffigan, Doran and Corney Doyle have the plans to take large loans
from Broadbent with the likelihood to spend it unwisely due to greed, which will lead to
Broadbent seizing in the future. The people of Ireland are oblivious to the English s strategy
with the exception of the well educated, well traveled ex pastor, Peter Keegan, who is not
phased from Broadbent s tactics. Shaw first establishes the current state of Ireland by
demonstrating the takeover by foreign capitalistic interest. Shaw, a socialist, allows Peter
Keegan to address the readers of Capitalism and its true power of manipulation. Through the
voice of Broadbent that represented the Ireland that was believed existed, while through Mr.
Keegan that was Shaw s resemblance of the Ireland that needed to exist. John Millington Synge
took a different approach with his writings. Unlike John Bulls Other Island Synge made a series
of essays about the Congested Districts of Ireland. Synge, just as Shaw, was born in Dublin;
however, took a more social liberal stance within his writings. Synge came from a reasonably
well off family and had the opportunity to experience higher education. Following his passion for

Dry White Season Essay
Summary Dry White Season Adam Simon CGW 4U1 Dry White Season was what I felt to be an
exemplary interpretation of how native South Africans truly condemned the immoral Apartheid
political system of the mid 1900 s. Though the film was quite graphic, explicit nature seemed
necessary to prove how racial brutality towards the black community really did exist. I enjoyed
the whole idea of a narrow minded white man making the transition from a life of socially
superior racial prejudice to become a devoted supporter of black rights. I found this really helped
create a strong liberal message to aid viewers in understanding the sick intolerance of the majority
of white South Africans at that time.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Benjamin is the hero; the incoherent individual that learns an unpleasant lesson due to one event
that changed the course of all events prior, (Gordon s death) Captain Stoltz was the villain; the
sadistic, power hungry oppressor with manipulative ways that ended up determining his fate, Johan
represented the loyal and resourceful character that led the viewer to believe there was a shed of
hope throughout any struggle, and Stanley was the character I ve seen way too often, the random
bystander that provides the cathartic release by ultimately giving the villain what he deserved.
Despite some predictable qualities, the characters were still interesting. I thought Donald
Sutherland played the part of Benjamin superbly. His air of seriousness and integrity really keep
me interested in his character. Sure, he was naГЇve before the death of Gordon, and it was best to
just let it go at first, but he grew from being pessimistic and cynical, to an entirely optimistic,
likeable person to me the end by going neck deep into the mystery of Gordon s disappearance.
My favourite character of all though, was no doubt Mr. McKenzie. Though he only was vaguely
present, he absolutely dominated the screen during the courtroom trial. I found his use of sarcastic
remarks in the courtroom hilarious, yet so fittingly applicable to his realist character. He clearly is
a trail blazer in the sense that he is a white man fighting for black rights, yet he does so anyways,

Summary
Zynga was the leader in the social game with the support of Facebook. The demographic
representation of the social games extends to women and elderly. The lack of creativity of Zynga
pushes the consumer away. This decline is also due to the fact Zynga had failed to change its
strategy toward the mobile platform. Zynga relies its sales on virtual goods, which are very limited
and difficult in the mobile environment. A lack of diversity to another social networkand its
subordination to Facebook was also an issue. Zynga s relationship with Facebook, which imposes
the use of Facebook credits on its application, causes the collapse of the organization. Moreover,
Zynga was object of competition from different players
The strategy of Zynga is offer free games in order to sell virtual goods by exploiting the marketing

PTSD can be characterized by both psychological and physical symptoms, and people who suffer
from it will generally experience impaired functioning in various aspects of their lives
(Schmalleger, p. 246). In the film The Silence of the Lambs the screenplay really doesn t
provide too much insight on Buffalo Bill s childhood, but there is implications that Buffalo Bill
had a traumatic childhood. If the film The Silence of the Lambs provided additional information
on Buffalo Bill s childhood, we could have a better understanding of any specific traumatic or
terrifying experiences that lead to the development of Buffalo Bill s PTSD. Dr. Hannibal Lecter
in the film The Silence of the Lambs, tells Detective Clarice Starling Billy was not born a
criminal, but made one by years of systematic abuse . Due to Buffalo Bill s PTSD, it was clear
that he had feelings of anger, self hatred and wanted to kill women so that he could ultimately
become one after he stitched his victims skin together and made a woman suit for himself. Buffalo
Bill ultimately wanted to turn himself into someone that he didn t hate, so he felt like by wearing
the woman suit and becoming a woman he could accomplish that. These feelings could have been
a combination of both the Anti Social Personality Disorder (ASPD) and also Post Traumatic Stress

Analysis Of Arthur Miller s Death Of Salesman
Research paper on death of salesman Arthur Miller created stories that express the deepest
meanings of struggle. Miller is the most prominent twentieth century American playwrights. He
based his works on his own life, and his observations of the American scene. Arthur Asher Miller
was born 17 October 1915 in Manhattan, New York city. He was the son of Jewish immigrants
from Poland. His parents had a prosperous clothing company. Unfortunately when the stock
market crashed, because his family invested all of their money in the market, they lost
everything. The family then moved to a small house in Brooklyn. This happened during miller s
teen years, and because of that miller was shaped by the poverty that surrounded him. Miller
saw the fragility and vulnerability of humans, when they are faced with a great economic crisis.
Miller graduated as an average student from Abraham Lincoln high school. And due to financial
reasons, he worked in an auto part warehouse, and during this time he has come across anti
Semitism, which became a major theme of his later work (Marino). After getting rejected two
times, Miller got enrolled into the University of Michigan, and he started his career as a playwright
at Michigan. In his sophomore year miller wrote No Villain, which is his first play. This play
earned him a scholarship money. In his college years, Miller won several awards for writing plays.

Essay On Macbeth s Loyalty To A Green Heart
Illustrated with a green heart, you can see Macbeth s first aspect of his character being loyalty.
In the beginning of the play, Macbeth tells how he feels about king Duncan by stating that the
service and the loyalty I owe in doing it pays itself (Act 1, scene 4). Macbeth most certainly had a
heart and loads of compassion to the ones he was close to. At the start, he may have even been the
only person to express such loyalty to the king. Just like fresh grown trees, Macbethstill had that
clean mindset and that goodness in his heart. Therefore coming into the play, Macbeth is introduced
as a green, healthy heart.
Consequently, Macbeth s ambition for power turned him into a greedy man which is shown as
a yellow crown. Wanting even more, Macbeth says the Prince of Cumberland! That is a step On
which I must fall down, or else o erleap, For in my way it lies (Act 1, scene 4, lines 55 57). After
all that Macbeth has gone through, he only had the crown in mind now. He was made Prince of
Cumberland by the king that he showed his loyalty to. But at this point of the play, the crown was
the only thing for him. The power of a king was more than anything. Greedy Macbeth falls into this
trap, and now the green fades to yellow. This mello unsatisfying color is what Macbeth turns ...

long time friend was just an obstacle to get over, so that he could keep on striving for the power
that was more important than his close ones. Red is that perfect reflection of how crazy and just

Archetypes On The Rainy Road
Every single person on planet Earth has a set of personal morals; whether as basic as the old

fight in the Vietnam War, one that he is staunchly against. Tim tries to leave his home and go to
Canada due to his beliefs against the war, but eventually comes home to fight after a period of self
reflection. Through this figurative journey , the author uses the fundamental plot archetype of the
journey from innocence to experience to demonstrate how adversity exposes the inherent human
flaws in even the best people. Tim begins the story at his familiar environment in Minnesota. The
archetypal journey typically consists of five major steps, being; an innocent start in a familiar
environment, followed by a descent into danger and a battle with demons throughout which
experience is gained, ultimately ending in a return home (TVDSB). As Tim confesses, he had taken

Sayyid Qutb s contributions lie in his books and writings, which express his values and
perspectives. He wrote a total of 24 book and articles criticising the American way of living and
the Arab world for trying to become westernised. Social Justice in Islam was written first,
expressing his belief in tawhid (unity in God) and in Islam as the only way of life. He then joined
the Muslim Brotherhood, contributing to Islamic perspectives as chief editor of the brotherhood s
newspaper. Sayyid was arrested as he was accused of attempting to overthrow the govt. In prison, he
completed Shadows of the Qur an, which is a commentary on the Qur an, trying to find new
ideology and thus return to a truly Islamic environment analysing how Muhammad dealt with
ignorance. Milestones was published after his release and was so controversial, it lead to him

phenomenal job at releasing their innovative products before their competition, but if their
innovation cannot hold steady, this may lead to changes in demand for their products
considerably. This can be seen with their release of the iPhone, the first successful touch screen
cellular phone. Although people swarmed to the iPhone when it was first released because of its
advanced technology, as the years have passed, other similar designs, including those with android
and windows based operating systems, have drawn a considerable portion of the market. A clear
representation of Apple s attempt to regain some of this market can be seen when the iPhone was
released to Verizon Wireless customers in

Mixed Market Systems In The United States
In a society that values a wide range of customs, traditions, and hierarchies, a thorough
understanding of these systems can potentially result in success within a community as well as
ones own life. Here in the United States, we lived in a mixed market system. We hold many
liberties in terms of all aspects of our lives, such as the our decision of what we need, what we
want, what we do, and how it is done. In a mixed market economy, we also have the option to
own a business, if we so chose to, or we can choose to be employed by another. Our lives here in
the United States are determined solely by our decisions. Financially, we are in charge of the
wealth we accumulate. We may choose to make a withdrawal from the bank, or we can make a
deposit.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Actions from both parties determine the state of the economy compared to the economies of other
countries, such as North Korea and Cuba. In these countries, they thrive in a command economy,
which encourages complete control of the economy and aspects of the citizens lives by the
government. This type of economy encourages equality between all citizens and many
restrictions are placed on individuals, including the inability to own a private business. In
America, however, most of the economy is controlled by the citizens, and we are able to start or
own a business if we so choose. Because of this freedom, it allowed Gates to start a business
alongside his close comrade, Paul Allen. They would not have been able to accomplish this feat if
they lived in a country which supported a command economy. Also, in a MME, free enterprise is
supported, which allows for economic control by the people and their privately owned businesses. It
allows individuals to completely regulate their businesses, such as the price of a product, which lets
businesses compete fairly. Although Mr. Gates thrived in his business, the opportunity of
competition with other technological companies contributed to his success. It allowed him to learn
and improve his product. An example of competition Microsoft had to face was Apple, the
company that developed and produced the idea of all Apple products such as the iPhone and the
iPad. Microsoft also shared a bit of competition with Google. In the early years, Apple and
Microsoft were close allies, but because of continued technological innovation and similarities
between the two platforms, both companies were drawn apart. The strive to provide a better
product for consumers allowed for learning opportunities which contributed to the success of both
companies. But the influence of free enterprise, which only exists in a mixed

Analysis Of Sweet Sweetback s Baadasssss Song And ...
In both Sweet Sweetback s Baadasssss Song and Do the Right Thing the relationship between
blackness and violence fluctuates between a mode of aggression and a tool of survival. Both
films consistently attempt to represent violence by blacks as a symptom of white dominance
and brutality. In Sweet Sweetback black violence is perceived by the dominant white
institutions (i.e. the police and the officers) as an act of intentional aggression. White perception
deems that blacks will be violent both physically and sexually because they are naturally violent.
It is the responsibility of the whites to protect society from the hypersexual, hyper violent black
male (Class Discussions, 2014). Such is the case when police officers storm the hotel room in
search of Sweetback only to find a black male naked with a white woman in the bed, presumably
after having sex. The officers were quick to physically attack both individuals, though the black
man received a longer and harsher punishment. Their response highlights the taboo nature of
black and white relations in Sweetback as well as the dominant fear of black males as sexual
aggressors who take advantage of white women whenever possible (Class Discussions, 2014).
The film is careful to frame Sweetback s violence as self defense; he is only violent when he
absolutely has to be, not because he simply wants to be violent. By framing Sweetback s actions in
this way, the film establishes the idea that black violence is a tool of

Stereotypes Of Latinos Essay
Latinos in U. S. A. and Hollywood s Discrimination
Hispanic or Latino, is a segment of the population in the States of the American Union that has
grown in quantity, economy and education, and everything indicates that it would continue in the
same way, as a result of the Hispanic people has inhabited here, even before this country conformed
as the United States. Latinos also have made important contributions to this country in all aspects
and levels and areas to society, of the sort of the arts, sports and politics. Cinema is considered
an art, the seventh art, as well it is a form of expression and reflection of society and its times. In
consequence, filming is a very important business, and Hollywood is the mecca of the industry.
Then, we could expect that the significance of their presence would be properly portrayed. But, to
the contrary to we might assume, we see in Hollywood s filmography that they have been assigned
few roles, which are also mostly stereotyped and unflattering. In this essay, we will review some ...

All these stereotypes of immigrants and Latinos definitely impact the opinions and attitudes that
non Latinos can have towards Latinos and immigrants. It is true that immigrants are not all
Latinos, many also come from Europe, Asia, etc. It is also true that not all Latinos are the best
persons, and some of them have fallen entangled into the judicial system. But not all Latins are
criminals, these represents a minority and it is not fair to generalize, as well in the system exist
White persons and from all other races. And many of these cases could be blamed to the lack of
opportunities. Then, these stereotypes do not reflect the reality or values of the Hispanic

Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome (AMPS)
What is amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome (AMPS)? By definition amplified
musculoskeletal pain syndrome is A medical condition in which an individual develops an
abnormal pain reflex. This overactive reflex causes constriction of blood vessels which deprives
oxygen to muscles, bones and skin causing lactic acid build up. In turn, a mild pain signal is
amplified into a very painful signal. The pain can be consistent or intermittent (Providence ). Each
case of this chronic illness is different in various ways. Patients can experience pain in different
parts of their body and at different pain levels. A common system that is seen in children with
AMPS is allodynia. Allodynia is when it hurts to be touched and it doesn t matter how light... Show

hospital at 7:30, this is so vitals can be taken before pool. Pool will drag on for an hour and after
pool patients will walk to a different building to begin their days. Next up will be either physical or
occupational therapy. In the morning is when timed activities happen. Timed activities are 14
different activities the patients have to do everyday. The object is to beat the time from the day
before, you have to complete the activity until you beat the time. In between each session there
is a two minute break where the patients are able to lay down and do breathing exercises. After
lunch, there is another session of PT and OT. One time during the day a patient has flex time or
free time where they don t have anything to do, but they have to stay active. Music therapy
happens in place of pool on fridays and art therapy happens once a week. At the end of the day
there is either yoga or breathing exercises. During the last week of RAPS you have an outing
where you re able to pick somewhere to visit (in walking distance). This is so the doctors can see

they would handle a normal day. During RAPS the schools aren t allowed to send their students

Public Misunderstanding Of officer Safety Essay
Public Misunderstanding of quot;Officer Safety quot;
How many times have you been pulled over by a police officer, and when the confrontation was
complete you said to yourself, quot;Boy, was he rude! quot; or
quot; There was no need for him to treat me like that. quot; Well, unfortunately, the public is prone
to misinterpret an officer being safe for being rude.
Unfortunately, the actions taken during a quot;routine quot; traffic stop which are interpreted as
being rude are necessary steps that insure the safety of both officer and civilian.
Imagine for a moment that you are a police officer on duty. You observe a vehicletraveling 36 miles

These are the some of the procedures which they have published in regards to traffic stops, and
which myself and other trainers have used to train their mobile patrolmen in hopes of reducing their
risk:
Step #1: Park your patrol car approximately 1.5 car lengths behind, and with the passenger s side
headlight even with the center of the violators vehicle. By doing this you allow yourself, as the
patrolman, an ample distance for reaction. By parking off center you also allow a quot;hallway
quot; for yourself to conduct business safely.
Step #2: Turn your vehicle s high beams, spotlight, code lights and any other light on your vehicle
on and facing towards the stopped vehicle. This will make it hard for the violator to see where you
are and get a good shot in.
It also allows you to see what is occurring inside the vehicle clearly.
Step #3: At no time do you allow the driver to exit his vehicle. It is safer for him and again puts
him at a disadvantage for completing any violent acts against you.
Step #4: While walking up to the vehicle, look at and lightly press down on the trunk. This reduces
the chance of a hidden person coming out of the trunk and firing on the officer. (This does
occasionally happen.)
Step #5: When reaching the

The Rosetta Mission
Billions of years ago, a comet roughly 15 kilometers in size collided with the Earth. The collision
resulted in the extinction of ninety percent of the species on earth, including the dinosaurs. For
many years scientist have been working to solve the age old question, how did life originate on
Earth? Many have come up with hypotheses ranging from evolution to extraterrestrial beings.
However new evidence has come into light that the same comet that destroyed the dinosaurs could
have been the starting point for our creation. In September, Dr. Haruna Sugahara and Dr. Koichi
Mimura presented their findings at the Goldschmidt Geochemistry Conference, held in Prague.
They had performed a number of experiments, where they tried to recreate the conditions of the
Earthafter impact with the comet. To do this they used a mixture of chemicals containing water,
silicate, and amino acids. They then shot the frozen mixture out of a gun and observed the fall
out. When they were observing the aftermath, they noticed that some of the amino acids has
bonded and formed peptides. Peptides are known to be some of the basic building blocks of life.
They are used in our bodies every day when creating... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Farrington 2014) and Nonmainstream Body Modification: Genital Piercing, Branding, Burning, and

Included in the study were males, females, homosexuals, heterosexuals, and bisexuals. Myers spent
a vast amount of time exploring various workshops and tattoo/piercing studios observing,
interviewing, and lecturing individuals on his current study. An example of this is when Myers
attended the Living in Leather Convention as he stated I was able to expand my involvement by
showing my body modification slides to several people, attending parties, and helping out at the
host organization s hospitality suite (1992:176). Though both studies rely heavily on body
modification, they differ in a couple of ways. While the first study was considered a longitudinal
study, the second one was considered a quasi experimental study. The first study was done in a
period of 53 years while the second study was done in a period of 2 years. Another difference is
that the first study relied on a different type of sampling than the second. The first one involved
quota sampling because the researchers knew exactly who they wanted to choose for participants in
their study. The second study involved both random and accidental sampling for data observation
and collection.
I believe that Jennings, Hahn, and Farrington s (2014) study was less effective than Myer s study.
Though Jennings, Hahn, and Farrington s study is the first longitudinal study to measure tattoo
crime link, there are a few limitations. Instead of using a quota sample of

Preeclampsia Research Paper
Preeclampsia is a condition that occurs only during pregnancy. Some symptoms of preeclampsia
may include high blood pressure and protein in the urine, occurring after week 20 of pregnancy.
Preeclampsia is often precluded by gestational hypertension. While high blood pressure during
pregnancy does not necessarily indicate preeclampsia, it may be a sign of another problem.
Preeclampsia affects at least 3 5% of pregnancies. If undiagnosed, preeclampsia can lead to
eclampsia, a serious condition that can put pregnant women and their baby at risk, and in rare
cases, cause death. Women with preeclampsia who have seizures are considered to have

Singapore s Upcoming 2020 General Elections Essay
Introduction
In light of Singapore s upcoming 2020 general elections, there are a few changes Singapore s
electoral system should embrace to ensure a more effective electoral process and accurate
outcomes. A condition for democracy to occur is to have free and fair elections as it depicts
popular choice and control over government. The People s Action Party (PAP) has dominated the
political playing field since 1965 and this resulted in Singapore being known as a model of soft
authoritarianism with limited democracy (Yeo. L.H, 2010). Although Singapore has seen an
increase in the number of opposition parties, these parties appear to be ineffective to compete
against the PAP.
Singapore employs a unique multi party parliamentary system (Wikipedia). The President is the
head of state while the Prime Minister is the head of government. Presidential and parliamentary
elections follow the First Past The Post (FPTP) system. While it is the simplest form of plurality
system, given Singapore s growing multi ethnic population and rising number of opposition parties,
this system may not be as effective as before.
Hence, this essay will cover how the FPTP system is currently employed in Singapore, and the
evaluation of its effectiveness. I will also discuss briefly why I did not choose alternative
electoral systems such as Two Round System (TRS) and Party Block Vote (PBV) System. Lastly, I
will proceed to discuss about Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) System for Singapore that can

they try to play with things that are not necessarily toys. To keep your toddler busy with his toys,
it is best to keep some favorites near them. You can also rotate the toys on a weekly basis. A
basic toddler toy is the best and the most favorite toys of any toddler. If you keep anything too
complex, it will get tossed aside very quickly.
Reading. Some toddlers enjoy playing with toys while some enjoy listening to stories. You can
read a story to your child as long as he will listen and enjoy. Books are the best way to keep your
child occupied. But, this activity needs your presence as well. Many preschools are now adding
this activity to their schedule for the overall growth of children. While buying storybooks for your

  • 2. Character Analysis Of Snoop Dogg I will be talking about 3 characters that I feel personally have the same character concepts as me like Snoop Dogg. We share plenty of the same interest but that is for you to read and find out. All three of these characters I visualize are in myself because of the experiences I ve had are exactly like them. I seem to have the same personalities as them so I suggest I am a very active person but very mellow as well like I donВґt need to be rushed unless it is important. The three fictional characters that most represent my personality are Biggie Smalls for his/her legendary rapping skills about his life and was very wise person but not the smartest, Jordan Belfort for his amazing creativity and being stupid smart, and Snoop Doggfor his... With this being said I also have had at least a similar experience to the character. I was basically more of a savage back in my freshmen year of highschool. Although I was not a dropout like him I always got in trouble in school and outside in public because I didnВґt care. I would ditch, steal, drugs, hangout with other lil savages like me and this is just recipe for disaster and had my run ins with the law. Ended up doing 6 months probation with 60 hour community service. But drawing was always another side of me my peers did not really know about and I enjoy really well. Its like you are working but it doesn t feel like it because of all the joy you get out of it. A hobby that I do not get bored of just creating spectacular ideas from my mind. This helped me because it made me question more about my life and what adventures this subject can bring out of me. Instead of all the bad influence I was seeing and causing earlier. It was like basically still continue the old life I was living or embrace a new journey with creating art. I have found this to be very satisfying, like a form of addiction but in a good way. • 3. Hercules And April Struggle To Know Their True Identity It is very important for someone to know their true identity. If you don t know who you are then how will you apply for a job? How will make friends or find a spouse without knowing who you really are? All these things that are important in the human life depends on us knowing who we really are. If not, all the opportunities that rely on us knowing who we are, they will be gone. An example is like someone saying, Hey what s your favorite color? Then you say, a color, I don t know. Another example is Hercules, he doesn t know who he is, he keeps searching and searching, trying to be like others but he really isn t. April wears a mask to cover up her identity, she is different than all the other kids, so she tries to fit in with a mask but she still ends up different.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... First, both Hercules and April struggle to find their true identity in themselves. They just don t know who they are, so they try to fit in with others. Second, even though April and Hercules do everything the others do, they still don t fit in, they are a lot more unique than all the other people. Finally, Hercules and April are both judged or looked at negatively by others. When April takes off the mask, everyone s body language says, Who is she? or, Uh, she is not like us so she doesn t fit in. Hercules as a child tried to play with other boys but they always turned him down. April and Hercules are similar by how they try to solve the problem of their missing identity, how they still don t fit in even if they change, and finally, how others look upon ... He was the heir to the Habsburg empire, and the first to fall victim to political homicide. Unlike some constitutional monarchies in Western Europe, the Habsburgs had failed to modernize their multinational state. They used force to defend their institutions, and they were faced with a mass of revolutionary movements in Italy and Hungary. Although the Sarajevoassassins were Bosnians and thus Austro Hungarian citizens, and although they had plotted against the Habsburg dignitaries for years, three leading members of the conspiracy, Princip, Cabrinovic, and Grebez, came to Sarajevo from Belgrade. ... A Case Study Introduction On November 14, 2000 Olav Larsson, Managing Director of Sunwind, eased back in his seat as his A380 climbed away from Tokyo s Narita Airport to begin the 17 hour flight to Gothenburg, Sweden. He was returning from a 10 day trip to Japan where he had visited factories of Nissan and Mazda as well as a number of their parts suppliers. This visit had reinforced his conviction that Sunwind should initiate a proposal to Volvo, its major customer, that Just In Time delivery of floor lids1 be made directly onto its 700 series automobile assembly lines at Torslanda, near Gothenburg, Kalmer, a port city on Sweden s east cost, and at Ghent in Belgium. Lars, a graduate engineer, had previous managerial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Average weekly requirements in 2001 were expected to approach 1,400 units. Lars estimated Sunwind s current single shift capacity at approximately 1,250 units/week. To achieve this, he had hired an additional 20 people at the beginning of August and established three shift operations on a numerically controlled milling machine used to shape plywood parts. Effective capacity was actually less than 1,250 units/week due to equipment failures, e.g. the gluing machine had proved particularly troublesome and had increased rejects. Recent causes of the rejects included seeping through the carpeting that covered the plywood forms. Volvo had also rejected a shipment of floor lids due to differences in the shade of carpeting covering the four separate pieces which made up a floor lid. Such difficulties could not have come a worse time, when Lars was already concerned by the world wide trend of major manufacturers in the automobile industry to rely on fewer suppliers. He knew that Toyota, which industry observers continually cited for its productivity gains, relied on only 320 suppliers, while Volvo had over 600. Headlines such as Volvo will reduce number of suppliers; pressure on sub contractors in Dagens Nyheter, one of Sweden s major daily newspapers, did not help his peace of mind. He was also aware that Just In Time deliveries had been implemented recently ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Sifaka Research Paper The Coquerel s Sifaka (Propithecus verrauxi coquerii) is a species of lemur found exclusively in Madagascar. Their bodies are covered in thick, coarse fur that is white on their torsos and dark reddish brown on their fore and hindlimbs, with dark faces and white noses. P. coquerii are a diurnal species of folivorous and frugivorous primates that live in either deciduous or evergreen forests, and typically weigh 3.4 3.6 kg. Females are dominant over males, and they typically congregate in one maleone female mating pairs or multi male multi female social groups. Males will compete for dominance in order to be able to mate with females in the group. Lemurs exhibit more scent marking behaviors than most other primates, and use their throat, wrist, and anogenital glands to scent mark their habitats and signal to other lemurs. The Bronx Zoo has two adult Coquerel s sifakas in its exhibit, one male and one female. The exhibit is the first that guests see in the zoo s Madagascar hall, which houses ring tailed lemurs, red ruffed lemurs, and other animals from the region. • 7. Starship Troopers Quotes Of Father Johnny Rico, the main character in the book Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein, is a very simple minded boy, not entirely passionate about his opinions and easily conforming to what others tell him he should believe or do. The people that guided him towards his goals, beliefs, and dreams, though, were the several father figures displayed through the book. His actual father (i.e., Emilio Rico), his high school History and Moral Philosophy teacher (i.e., Dubois), and his training sergeant (i.e., Zim), were all the most prominent examples of father like figures in the novel by Heinlein. He even tells the Battalion Commander that he wished to the heavens that he could have taken the flogging himself, also having of previously stated that the whole lot of them were a nice bunch of kids and would turn out to be good soldiers. In saying these things, Zim shows a more caring side, but still retaining his powerful image. There are rudimentary, interconnecting, and sophisticated but this paper will only focus on the structure and building of sophisticated tunnels. Some features of a sophisticated tunnel are that it reach as deep as seventy feet underground and tall and wide enough for an adult to walk through or for a mine cart to be pushed through. When building these sophisticated tunnels, first the earth is chipped away by handheld electric spades and the workers are filling sandbags with dirt and rocks in order to have the clearest pathway in the tunnel. Then the rail systems tart to get set up where it s just a large metal crate connected to an electric pulley system in order to get the sandbags with dirt and rocks out of the tunnel. A structural feature about these tunnels is that the ceiling would be slightly arched in order to distribute the pressure and weight of the earth to prevent a collapse. Another feature of sophisticated tunnels is the ventilation when a black plastic tubes connected by pipe clamps would be affixed to the top of the tunnel in order to provide oxygen for the workers. The rail system that was in sophisticated tunnels was two metal tracks that were laid down to bring debris to the surface by the elevator in order to get it out of the way. The study found that a large portion of children reported that their parents highly emphasized on racial pride as well as taught them about racial barriers. The remaining children provided information that not all parents convey messages about race to their children. This shows that some individuals agents of socialization play a large role in their understanding of their race. In the study, they also state that African Americans awareness of race makes it possible for them to grapple with the significance of being African American (Neblett 189). The children that were categorized as having High Positive or Moderate Positive experiences with socialization are going to be more apt to understand their socialized position in society. • 10. Identification And Identification Of Fingerprints Exactly how unique are fingerprints ? Background Fingerprint classification was first introduced by Jan Evangelista Purkinje in 1823 as described in the article Clinics to Dermatology. Fingerprints have since been used in the forensic science world as an accepted tool in criminology and used for the identification of people. Fingerprints was built on the theory that all fingerprints are unique, no two are alike. Thus fingerprints are considered a type of individual evidence, evidence that can pinpoint a specific person Purkinje, a Czech physiologist, divided the lines found in a fingerprint into nine types, each based on their geometric arrangement. • 11. Feminist Analysis Of Medea Classical Greek society placed great emphasis on it citizens fulfilling their social and moral obligations on the principle of sophrosyne, that is finding the balance between their reason and passions. Controversially, the eponymous protagonist in Euripides tragedy, Medea, challenges all beliefs of balance seeking instead to exact her retribution on Jason. In the process, Euripides explores the characters rationalisations and motives behind their decisions and its repercussions. Jason leaves Medea for fortune and prestige ultimately being the catalyst behind Medea s determination to seek vengeance. In doing so, Jason describes her as a lioness not a woman, highlighting the potential forces that women are capable of unleashing, accentuating... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After Medea is betrayed, she epitomises perfectly the proverbial woman scorned determined to ensure a bloodbath as she sinks into abysmal hopelessness and despair. At each stage of her scheme, Medea exercises careful judgement, knowing exactly what to say at the right time to the right person. She is able to manipulate Creon, Aegus and ultimately Jason to formulate circumstances and opportunities to seek retribution and to reciprocate the injustices that befall her. Medea s meticulously cunning revenge, cursing her children of a bewitched mother is judiciously complemented by a pathological lack of remorse for her husband and children. Although the ancient and modern audience may agree in Jason deserving punishment to some extent, it is Medea s act of infanticide is where the line is drawn. However, in leaving Medea unpunished, Euripides disposes the traditional theatrical rational resolution for the villain but instead invokes a masterstroke of divine intervention using the device deus ex machina allowing her to have good fortune and help from Helios and divine protection on her side. This not only leaves the ancient and modern audience querying at society s obsession with morality in the face of such an abjectly irrational denouement but simultaneously forces the audience to question their own sense perception and justice. Medea s actions are Dionysian guided. Her emotions are liberated, shattering all sense of society s moral boundaries that confines her. The dichotomy between a lioness and a woman aims to highlight Medea as a powerful and regal creature. As a lioness, she is able to truly be a mistress of the systematic dysfunctional Greek society that subjugates its ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Analysis Of Michael Harvey s The Hero Essay WRITING ASSIGNMENT 2 Michael Barlow Saint Leo University When I think of a hero, I think of someone who is not only mentally strong, but has the endurance to go the distance. We all have has some heroes in our lives. Just ask any kid these days who their hero is. I am sure you will hear a familiar name such as, Superman, Spiderman, Ironman and the most recent one my son says is the Avengers. They are the best superhero in the world, but I say to my son what about all the hero that are no on the TV. He looks at me like I have lost my mind. I look at the hero, and I see a broad variety of hero aside from the comic books, but in everyday people that go through life doing the very same thing as we do. Not all hero s wear red capes and masks to hide their identities. If you look at the day to day people like the fire department and the police department, those are some of the best heroes. They volunteer every day to keep people out harm s way while in most cases placing their own lives in jeopardy to save lives. Those people do whatever it takes to get the job done with little to no recognition of what they have done besides the self satisfaction and a pat on the back for a good job. Air Pollution In China It is no secret that China is one of the fastest growing countries in the nation, and over the past 3 decades China has had the fastest economic growth over all major nations. In conjunction to China s economic development and industrialization comes the excessive burning of coal as a source of energy. According to china s ministry of environmental protection 9 out of 10 cities have such robust developed economy that they fail the countries pollution test. Manufacturing activities are the leading cause of environmental problems, And as the country continues to burn coal the country shows dangerous signs of apocalyptic levels. Industrial areas outside the city burn coal around the clock in order to power factories, high winds carry particulatematter throughout the country, not only affecting rural areas, but urban communities as well. China s reasons for using coal as an energy source, as opposed to alternatives, are that they have a huge resource for coal as well as it is an inexpensive and reliable source of energy. Although, burning coal is on the decline, it is still a large part of China s energy structure. It is visibly evident that China s air pollutionis at a frightening all time high. Tinker s Wedding Essay This chapter examine two tinker women characters named sarah casey, who wants to be married in order to gain dignity and be viewed as respectable in the eyes of society;and her mother in law Mary Byrne, a drunkard who opposes such an institution. Like all of Synge s plays, the basic plot of The Tinker s Weddingderives from folk stories of Irish culture. In fact, the play represents a dramatisation of folk stories told In Wicklow and West Kerry. In the first essay of this prose work The Vagrants of Wicklow, a man on the side of a mountain to the east of Aughavanna, in Wicklow tells his observations about the tinkers he saw. He mentions the vigorous lifestyle and the marriage customs of the roaming tinkers and tramps. He says that one time he saw fifty of them on the road and [t]hey are gallous lads for walking through the world and one of these lads would swap the woman he had with one from another man, with as much talk as if you d be selling a cow (Synge, In Wicklow 5). Synge s plays except Riders to the Sea, the heroes reject the respectable life offered them by society and community (139). The characterisation of The Tinker s Wedding is a good example for this. In Riders to the Sea, the characters are isolated from civilisation due to their living conditions on a remote and isolated island. With Apple being so far ahead of their competition, the only problem one can foresee in Apple s future is how long they can sustain such innovation before they plateau. Apple does a phenomenal job at releasing their innovative products before their competition, but if their innovation cannot hold steady, this may lead to changes in demand for their products considerably. This can be seen with their release of the iPhone, the first successful touch screen cellular phone. Mixed Market Systems In The United States In a society that values a wide range of customs, traditions, and hierarchies, a thorough understanding of these systems can potentially result in success within a community as well as ones own life. Here in the United States, we lived in a mixed market system. We hold many liberties in terms of all aspects of our lives, such as the our decision of what we need, what we want, what we do, and how it is done. In a mixed market economy, we also have the option to own a business, if we so chose to, or we can choose to be employed by another. This type of economy encourages equality between all citizens and many restrictions are placed on individuals, including the inability to own a private business. In America, however, most of the economy is controlled by the citizens, and we are able to start or own a business if we so choose. Because of this freedom, it allowed Gates to start a business alongside his close comrade, Paul Allen. • 42. Analysis Of Sweet Sweetback s Baadasssss Song And ... In both Sweet Sweetback s Baadasssss Song and Do the Right Thing the relationship between blackness and violence fluctuates between a mode of aggression and a tool of survival. Both films consistently attempt to represent violence by blacks as a symptom of white dominance and brutality. In Sweet Sweetback black violence is perceived by the dominant white institutions (i.e. the police and the officers) as an act of intentional aggression. White perception deems that blacks will be violent both physically and sexually because they are naturally violent. It is the responsibility of the whites to protect society from the hypersexual, hyper violent black male (Class Discussions, 2014). Such is the case when police officers storm the hotel room in search of Sweetback only to find a black male naked with a white woman in the bed, presumably after having sex. The officers were quick to physically attack both individuals, though the black man received a longer and harsher punishment. Their response highlights the taboo nature of black and white relations in Sweetback as well as the dominant fear of black males as sexual aggressors who take advantage of white women whenever possible (Class Discussions, 2014). The film is careful to frame Sweetback s violence as self defense; he is only violent when he absolutely has to be, not because he simply wants to be violent. By framing Sweetback s actions in this way, the film establishes the idea that black violence is a tool of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For many years scientist have been working to solve the age old question, how did life originate on Earth? Many have come up with hypotheses ranging from evolution to extraterrestrial beings. However new evidence has come into light that the same comet that destroyed the dinosaurs could have been the starting point for our creation. The first study was done in a period of 53 years while the second study was done in a period of 2 years. Another difference is that the first study relied on a different type of sampling than the second. The first one involved quota sampling because the researchers knew exactly who they wanted to choose for participants in their study. The second study involved both random and accidental sampling for data observation and collection. I believe that Jennings, Hahn, and Farrington s (2014) study was less effective than Myer s study. Singapore s Upcoming 2020 General Elections Essay Introduction In light of Singapore s upcoming 2020 general elections, there are a few changes Singapore s electoral system should embrace to ensure a more effective electoral process and accurate outcomes. A condition for democracy to occur is to have free and fair elections as it depicts popular choice and control over government. The People s Action Party (PAP) has dominated the political playing field since 1965 and this resulted in Singapore being known as a model of soft authoritarianism with limited democracy (Yeo. L.H, 2010). Although Singapore has seen an increase in the number of opposition parties, these parties appear to be ineffective to compete against the PAP. Singapore employs a unique multi party parliamentary system (Wikipedia). The President is the head of state while the Prime Minister is the head of government. Presidential and parliamentary elections follow the First Past The Post (FPTP) system. While it is the simplest form of plurality system, given Singapore s growing multi ethnic population and rising number of opposition parties, this system may not be as effective as before. Hence, this essay will cover how the FPTP system is currently employed in Singapore, and the evaluation of its effectiveness. I will also discuss briefly why I did not choose alternative electoral systems such as Two Round System (TRS) and Party Block Vote (PBV) System.
