Introduction
Nowadays, running business in 20th century means that you got to be clever about technology. When
companies are striving for higher achievements and more efficient workability, innovation is what
everyone craving for. That s the spot where technology shoots.

Cache
Cache located between CPU and RAM. It is a high speed memory that accelerates CPU to exchange
information from RAM (Shelly, et al, 2008). Cache works in a frequently accessible files and
programs in the computer so it can be processed in shorter time. For example, a secretary s computer
which used for typing a lot will have its word processing program opened faster than the other staffs
computer.
Secondary storage * Stokes (2008) states that secondary storage is used for saving files and
information in the matter of capacity. When programs are installed into the computer or files are
inserted, secondary memory is the place where all the stuffs are put into. It gives information about
how much computer can store data in its system. Files, programs, and other stuffs that put in
secondary storage are saved permanently in the system. So, when the computer is off, the stuffs will
stay at the same state and condition without having any lost parts.
Picture 2.1 Secondary storage works like cloth drawers for computers. As long as there is a space, it is
fine to put more things. Image source: http://corriehaffly.wordpress.com
There are various forms of secondary storage. Some attached in CPU and some is separated from
computer. These are the kinds of it.

Analysis Of Superman, Batman, And Wonder Woman
Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, where they are seen as gods with monstrous powers. In this
noir reality, we have Hernan Guerra, Kirk Langstromg, and Bekka as Superman, Batman, and Wonder
Woman. However, apart for the several darker turns of this world, this Justice League kills. And it
brings in the age old question of superheroes, what happens when powerful beings work against the
law?
Superheroes are strong promotions for American propaganda. The Justice League, even Avengers
from Marvel are fighting alongside the American president and with American law. But that doesn t
always mean that they re doing the right thing. Superman and other heroes have been aware. Even in
issue #900 of Action Comics, Superman renounced his American citizenship, and this wasn t his first
time. The best heroes are aware of being tainted by bad politics. This version of Superman, Batman,
and Wonder Woman challenge that in this sensational animated film.
It s a darker world, with darker endings for many surrounding characters. Cyborg s hero story is cut
short by tragedy, and each member of the Trinity carries devastating origin stories.
The entrance is wicked. It s bloody, fast paced, and it pulls you into their world quickly. The military
and president is afraid of the League, but at the same time, the Trinity has only been beneficial to
society as their victims are mainly terrorists and murderers. You will enjoy.

AR-15 Customization Choices
If you are the proud owner of an AR 15 then you need to ensure that you have all the accessories you
need to properly use and maintain your rifle. The AR 15 is a useful platform in that it has more
customization choices than pretty much any other rifle on the market today. The reason for all these
customization choices is that the AR 15 is probably the most widely available civilian rifle.
The AR 15 was developed originally for the military, and was sold by Colt to the Army which
classified the rifle as the M 16. The M 16 saw extensive use in Vietnam. It had some issues which
were related to a lack of testing and after updating the rifle with a heavier barrel and a forward bolt
assist, the M 16 was renamed the M16A1. The M16A1 was able to

Justice In Medieval Europe
All through history, many complex and non complex questions come about. Many of these questions
like, what is justice? These questions are very complex and are hard to answer. This is because the
answers change because of many factors like time, evidence, place and ideas. For example, your idea
of justice may be different then someone from a different culture or place as you. Although, overall
there is no definite answer to the questions. The answer may be generally the same. For example, what
is justice? Justice is the maintenance or administration of what is just especially by the impartial
adjustment of conflicting claims or the assignment of merited rewards or punishments. This can differ
from person to person based on their beliefs, but overall be generally the same. Justice in Medieval
Europe is primarily based on evidence left behind, such as court records and laws. ... Show more

These documents helped resolve conflicts and establish order, but also showed inequalities of some of
the systems. Medieval European law was based on old Germanic ideas and customs, but it was also
influenced by the ancient Roman law system, these ideas are very complex and consisted of horrible
punishments.
Justice in Medieval Europe started from the fall of the Western Modern Empire, it became very
difficult to manage law and order situations in the smaller kingdoms initiated by the Barbarians. The
spread of religious movements of Christianity and Islamism made it even more challenging. To give
protection of the kingdom, kings transferred power to knights and barons. The lower class of ordinary
people like peasants and serfs accepted their rule to attain protection against invaders and rival
kingdoms. This gave rise to feudalism and their overall justice system. European Feudalism was made
from elements of the roman Regine. Roman villas and their land were granted to military leaders on a
temporary basis as a reward for their loyalty to Rome and the

The Dramatic Twist Of This Graphic Memoir By Alison Bechdel
To reveal something from the past is called memoir. Introducing the dramatic twist of this graphic
memoir written by Alison Bechdel will be explained in my essay. Alison Bechdel is a young lady who
came out as being lesbian at the age of 19. Bechdel is the only child of a family of three and she deals
with a problem which has to do with her father giving her hidden love. Bechdel uses memoir in the
book to find herself in life in many ways. Bechdel relates in memoir through her parents as they were
talented in their own way, so she compare her lifestyle to theirs. Her coming out to be lesbian was
used in a way different from her father. Bechdel would include details in her drawings so that the
audience could get an understanding of her. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Alison Bechdel came out as a lesbian when she was 19 years old. Her being homosexual was a
reaction off of her father. Bechdel and her father did not really talk, but she understood that her father
were gay and she wanted him to notice her love for him being gay because she was the same as him.
Bechdel father showed her hidden love. He loved her, but he did not really show it a lot because they
never really talk. When Bechdel and her father did talk she was happy because it was unusual for her
when he said something to her, or when he got close to her. Bechdel father also tried to take her to a
gay bar after her and her father came from the movies, but she was not 21 years old. Bechdel father
knew she was homosexual so that made her feel opened and more loved by her father because she felt
that he is now understanding her more about her homosexual life. In the book Fun Home Bechdel use
memoir to explain her parents creativity and compared her life to her mother and father. Talents such
as turning old things into new things. For example in chapter 1 page 6 her father would take old
furniture and restore it back to brand new. Her father was an English teacher as well, he had a library
stored in their home with books he loved to read. Alison mother would go around the house studying
and reciting her lines like the actress she was, and whenever she had a show she would invite the
family. Alison as a young girl a young girl would look at her and her parent s life,

The Role of Law Enforcement in Curbing Gang Violence
Background: Most research shows that the public believes that law enforcement s major goal in many
urban and suburban areas is to prevent gang activity. Gang activity is certainly not a new
phenomenon, but has been part of human history since Ancient Times (Rome, Greece, the Middle
Ages, etc.). In most countries, gang violence patterns the sociological development of society and the
evolution of criminal activity as criminal activity becomes more sophisticated, so do gang activities.
While most sociological theories tie gang behavior to youth violence, one can trace a number of
changes in gang violence to the way organized crime has evolved in the United States (Franzese, et al.,
2006). At the beginning of the 20th century, for instance, gangs were often based around ethnic
boundaries and confined within ethnic neighborhoods. These early gangs tended to focus on non
violent or human weakness crime (e.g. prostitution, gambling, nontaxable cigarettes and alcohol).
Once gambling because legal in Nevada, much of the organized crime dealing with gambling moved
to Las Vegas, while still retaining some ties to the major metropolitan areas. As tastes changed, so did
the criminological focus of gangs; from liquor to drugs, from drugs to social and political control back
focusing on ethnic boundaries (e.g. Asian, Latino, etc.) (Jackson and McBridge, 2000).
Overview of the Research The research conducted was done between 1990 and 1993 focusing on gang
behavior. The researchers

Difference Between Classical Music And Classical Period
Introduction:
The classical period was called the age of enlightenment and had lasted since 1750 till 1820. It
contrasted the Renaissance and Baroque periods, because composers were able to express about their
emotions and problems within their artworks. The artwork that was created then was unique and new.
The classical period s music was mainly dominated by three composers: Franz Joseph Haydn (1732
1809), Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 1791), and Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 1827).
1. Symphony:
A. Definition:
A symphony is a musical piece which is divided into four movements played by an orchestra.
B. Overview and history:
In the beginning of 18th century, many orchestra performances were private events funded by wealthy
aristocrats, however, by the mid eighteenth century, public concerts which were funded by ticket sales
became popular for middle class audiences to watch. Such concerts contained many singers,
instrumental soloists, and other musical acts. Though, the big opener of a public concert was usually a
symphony. The symphony became one of the Classical period s most popular musical genres. Nearly

A symphony consists of four movements which each movement is made up of a different forms with a
wide range of melody, harmony, rhythm, and even dynamics. The first movement is usually an
opening sonata which is fast, the second is in a slow form of adagio, and the third is dance related or
in a waltz meter, and at last the fourth one was and still is considered to be the lively finale sonata
which is in allegro form, an example is Beethoven s Ninth Symphony. A symphony has a pause in
between each movement, which never has an applause, due to its strict audience etiquette. For during

Harry Potter Vs. Christians Essay
Who has never dreamed of witches, broomsticks and full moon light? I always wished, when I was
younger, I could turn and do magic like a witch. I even bought little magic kits, but it was nothing like
the magic I wanted to produce. In my teen years, a book called Harry Potter caught my attention. It
took me to a world I thought could only belong in my head. J.K. Rowling brought words of
description to my dreams and brought out the little witch and wizard in many children s lives. I have
not been able to find a more descriptive, memorable, imaginative, and well written books for both
children and adults to read and enjoy. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Harry Potter books make witchcraft and the practice of magic seem appealing and fun; therefore,
parents shouldn t allow their children to read them.
This particular issue is the source of most Christianity complaints and protests against the Harry Potter
books. Christians who express nothing but disdain for the separation of church and state when it
comes to the government promoting Christianity, suddenly become defenders of the principle. They
are arguing that schools are inappropriately promoting religion when students are encouraged to read
Harry Potter.
Even if they are hypocritical, it would matter if they are right because schools shouldn t encourage
students to read books that promote a particular religion. Most people tend to regard censorship as a
bad thing, but if the Harry Potter books really do promote witchcraft then perhaps there haven t been
enough challenges. If the Harry Potter books don t promote witchcraft, but merely include witchcraft
as part of the fabric of a fantasy world, then complaints are less about the books themselves. Then the
problem must be something else, possibly the

Quality and safety are directly tied to the purpose of the goal. Many of the tools and application of
principals that have been assimilated in the alarm management project have been part of the
curriculum at WU MSN program course work. Strategies utilizing lean principals, critical thinking,
data analysis, PDCA cycles are a few of the means used to advance this project. Fundamental to the
role as a patient safety leader is the use of advanced safety, quality, and nursing theory that backs
nursing practice regarding prevention of patient harm. Patient safety findings were brought to the
attention of the clinical alarm teams and the applications of the quality and safety principles were part
of the litmus test for any actions steps.
Essential IV
Consequently, building onto the quality and safety principles, is the use of EBP, strongly present in the
platform for every WU nursing course. The WU program focuses on use of evidence in the literature
and the assessment of the evidence. These principles are demonstrated throughout the project with
prominent use of AACN (2013) evidence based practical guidance kit. Consumption of science based
information to impart practices for alarm management was apparent in teams participation in the
literature reviews and the webinars attended. Discussions and making project decisions were based on
the strength of evidence and was a direct result of the course work from the MSN and DNP prepared
participants.

My Experience For My Volunteer Experience
For my volunteer experience I chose to go to YMCA which stands for Young Men s Christian
Association. Their mission is to make a healthy body, mind and spirit through their Christian
principles. Their main focus in on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The
reason I chose YMCA is because I try to live a healthy lifestyle and as that is their mission at YMCA it
will be interesting to see what I will learn when I volunteer. Before the experience I thought I would
volunteer by fundraising for a cause they support or help provide services in the gym. I also thought I
might work with customers in the front desk. I was hoping to work with the children in the sports
teams to help coach and teach them more about the sport.
I stated to the YMCA manager that I need to volunteer because it is an assignment I have for college.
She was very lenient on what I would like to do and let me choose from a plethora of options. I was
told that I will be able to switch positions throughout the day since it was for my class and it would
make it more of a learning experience for me.
The day I went in for volunteering, I was positioned as a phone attendant answering phone calls to
anyone who had questions about YMCA, I was given a packet of information to be able to answer
those questions. I answered my first call and was able to successfully help the person with their
question but I did not enjoy this position as much because it felt more like work than volunteering.

Ethics Of Designer Babies
Parents are given the option to modify their baby s genes through the technique of designer babies.
However, there are ethical concerns about whether the practice of designer babies will be used for the
intended purpose. Since the parents are the ones deciding their baby s genes, they are able to choose
according to their preferences. Therefore, it gives parents the option to decide their babies appearance
and personality. Thus, it leads to the controversial aspect of gender selection through the technology of
designer baby as the sex of a child at birth can be prearranged by choosing embryos for a specific
sexual trait (Verlinsky, 2005, p. 24). Parents can now easily select the sex of their baby through this
technology. In addition, parents ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the concept of designer babies is still relatively new; thus, it raise concerns about the safety
of this technique. Also, the process of designer babies has only been experimented on rabbits and rats,
so it has yet to be tested on humans. Therefore, there could be hidden risks and side effects for humans
that have yet to be discovered until after the procedure is completed. The issue of competence emerges
because patients must understand the treatment involved and the potential side effects, as well as the
probability of possible outcomes (Morrison and Furlong, 2014, p. 262). The editing of the genome is
still a mystery as there could be unexplored territories. There could be the possibility of cleaving the
wrong genes and as a result serious side effects may occur when necessary genes are sliced. In
addition, unpredictable consequences may occur in future generations, so prospective problems may
not always appear until the birth of the baby (Pang and Ho, 2016). Thus, it raises the risk of the
emergence of new types of diseases or disabilities if genes are edited. It will be difficult to tell when
problems arise during the process and it may eventually show up only once the irreversible procedure
is completed. Furthermore, the success rate of impregnation is lower than most would like, harvesting
eggs from the woman a procedure not without burdens may have to be done multiple times (Suter,
2007, p. 930). Women will have to undergo the risk of implantation even though it is not guaranteed
that she will become pregnant as a result. The cost of this procedure is quite significant, but there is
still a chance that the process may not work or is ineffective. Therefore, it is not possible to know the
potential risks until it emerges, so it questions the safety of designer babies because there is still more
to learn about the technique since it is still

The And Native American Populations
From a European stand point, altering the lives of the Native Americans was a perfectly justifiable
action. They were uncivilized, and thus must be welcoming of their attempts to convert them to a
more advanced manner of living. At the same time, however, they must have notions of owning land,
of claiming sections of the Earth as their own, of trade and association of certain objects with high
value. This, however, was a paradoxical viewpoint. The main problem that resulted from the
intermixing of European and Native American populations was a misunderstanding of what each
culture maintained as important within their lives. To the natives, mourning wars, gods who were part
of the Earth itself, sacrifices, and any other number of various traditions were natural to who they
were. The Europeans, in contrast, valued war as a means of gaining territory, not people; they often
were monotheistic, with odd customs all their own, such as self torture or confession. The differences
between the two cultures could have been overcome, perhaps, if there had been some attempt to
understand one another s values. However, as evidenced, Europeans did not attempt to understand
without an ultimate aspiration to change. One of the defining aspects that shaped Native American life
after exposure to the Europeans was the disease they brought along with them. In The Jesuit Relations,
as well as in other readings, the fathers explained this illness as a sort of cleansing designed by God.

Compression Stockings Affect The Clothes On The Body
Compression hose also called compression stockings are specialized hosiery that is designed to help
improve the circulation in the legs to prevent venous disease such as swelling, varicose veins and
blood clots. They are made from elastic, and compress the legs to help the muscles keep the blood
flowing back to the lungs and heart.
Venous insufficiency occurs when there is too much pressure on the veins in the legs so that the wall
of the vein becomes weak and the tiny valves inside the veins stop working properly. This results in
the blood pooling in the vein causing it to bulge and twist. Compression hose helps reduce the
pressure in the veins and prevents the veins from shutting down. They force the blood to pass through
narrower channels, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are prescribed to treat lymphatic and venous drainage of the leg. They also have distributed
pressure from the ankle to the thigh, and are most often prescribed for people who do not walk.
Compression stockings are also used by athletes in the hope they will improve the efficiency of the
muscles. While this may or may not be true, many athletes have anecdotal evidence that they benefit
from the stockings.
Both types of compression hose come in knee high or thigh high length. Knee high is considered the
best choice for prevention of deep vein thrombosis. They are also more comfortable. However, this is
a decision that may be made by our specialist.
Compression stockings may have a circular knit that is more attractive or a flat knit that has a seam
and is mostly used for high compression purposes. Compression stockings may also be custom made
for a specific individual. Support hose has mild compression that is more for prevention than therapy
and is sold over the counter.
If you believe you are beginning to develop varicose veins or have any symptoms of venous
insufficiency, compression stockings may be right for

The Black Art Movement And The Black Arts Movement
The Black Aesthetic is a form of cultural expression that solidified itself during the Black Arts
Movement that was meant to exemplify black pride and reformation, culture, and community. Many
works that arose out of the Black Arts Movement depicted the role and responsibilities of the black
artist. Ralph Ellison claimed in his essay, The World and the Jug that he did not want to be seen as a
Negro artist but rather just an artist. This was understandable because he wanted to be known for his
talent rather than as a figurehead for his people but since then, there has been a lot of significant
historical and cultural development to this argument. After The World and the Jug was released in
1964, we had the death of Malcolm X in 1965 which was the catalyst for the Black Arts Movement to
truly begin. Black artists became very insistent upon invoking change through their work and
expressing their blackness unapologetically and it began to show. There was a change in mindset
where these newer artists wrote about their blackness and instances occurring in black communities
simply because it was a defining part of who they were, especially as women were given a voice in the
movement and were able to incorporate a new viewpoint despite the evident hyper masculinity. Yes,
they were artists, but they were black artists. Two poems that specifically exemplify this are Poem
about My Rights and Poem about Police Violence by June Jordan. These poems are able to depict

Examples Of Transactional Analysis
Transactional Analysis is a theory in psychology developed by Dr. Eric Berne. It is a method for
studying relationships and interactions between individuals, considering that people have multi
faceted personalities. It also examines how a person interacts towards other people based on the notion
that an individual s personality can change over time. Transaction is the fundamental unit of social
intercourse, which is the basic element of this study. According to Berne, if two or more people come
across each other, one of them will speak or acknowledge the presence of the others. Another person
will then respond in a way related to what the other has said (Berne, 2015). The transactions between
people can be affected by ego states. An ego ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Christian Character and Virtue After You Believe was written by the Bishop of Durham, Nicholas
Thomas Wright, or N.T. Wright. He was born on December 1, 1948 in Northumberland, United
Kingdom and became a very wellknown British New Testament scholar. (Wikipedia)
N.T. Wright s book, After You Believe, is mainly devoted to discussing how Christians need to act
after they have received and believed in Jesus Christ. It is like discussing Part 2 of Christianity, with
Part 1 simply being belief, and Part 2 being what is to follow. This book heavily revolves around
Christian character, virtue, and how it is formed. N.T. Wright describes this as ...the transforming,
shaping, and marking of a life and its habits (page 7) As Christians, many may ask what the end goal
is. What is the purpose of living a life with virtue or good character? N.T. Wright presents three
different options of what this might look like, and why it is important. The first option puts heaven as
the final goal. This goal can only be achieved by faith in Jesus Christ because of his death and
resurrection. We work towards this goal in what we do in our everyday lives. The second Christian
model that Wright talks about is the goal of working towards God s kingdom through our own

False Memory Psychology
In their paper A picture is worth a thousand lies: using false photographs to create false childhood
memories (2002), researchers Kimberly Wade, Maryanne Garry, Don Read, and Stephen Lindsay
addressed the topic of false memory creation, specifically if doctored or photoshopped images could
be used to create false childhood memories in adults. The goal of this study was to explore whether or
not subjects would accept the false photographs as real, which would lead to the researchers being
able to gather more information about the mechanisms involved in false memory production.
This study, and many before it, relied on three main conditions that will result in false memory. First
of all, the participants must believe that the suggested memory ... Show more content on

research is how the claim that false memory can be induced through pictures holds up against a more
diverse sample of people, including children and elderly people, and those from different cultural and
socioeconomic backgrounds.. If I were to research this, I would hypothesize that it would be more
difficult to plant false memories in people living in poverty, and in very young children, because I
imagine the amount of salient memories of events would be smaller. There would be less of the
feeling that this is a picture so it must have happened if they would have never had the opportunity to

Federalist No. 10 Argument
The primary source is Federalist paper No. 10, which is a the first of James Madison s contributions to
the series of essays known as the Federalist Papers. This essay is a highly regarded paper among the
collection. The Federalist No. 10 is merely rhetoric used to rationalize the benefits of a new system of
government, explain how the new union will be constructed and most crucial to the essay, sway public
opinion to support the ratification of the new constitution. This particular primary source is imperative
to understanding the complexity of the United States government at the time of its birth as well as
now. Madison makes an argument that the expansion of the federal government is necessary to protect
liberty against the excess of democracy. The document reveals the advantages of a Republic and
serves as an explanation as to why the U.S. espouses a Republican form of government and the
Constitution. Madison starts perhaps the most prominent of the Federalist papers by stating that one of
the most effective arguments in favor of the Constitution is the fact that it forms a ... Show more

As long as there is liberty, different opinions and factions will form. Madison simply wishes to
establish a system in which the detrimental effects of factions on the whole government are reduced
and kept in check. He argues that a pure democracy cannot mitigate the threats of factions and that
only a republic can. He believes that a system of government that allow every citizen to vote directly
for laws is dangerous as common people s decisions are affected by their self interest, instead he
advocates a different form of government in which citizens elect a small body of representatives who
then vote for laws. Madison s trust in a republic is fueled and bolstered by his lack of confidence in

Japanese Alien and Japanese-American Poets In U. S....
On February 19, 1942, Franklin Delano Roosevelt issued the infamous Executive Order 9066, which
resulted in the internment of 110,000 Japanese Aliens and Japanese Americans in concentration camps
because of the so called military threat, they posed. In 1945, poet Lawson Fusao Inada wrote the
following poem, titled Concentration Constellation, which refers to the various relocation camps that
were used to contain these people:
In this earthly configuration,
We have, not points of light, but prominent barbs of dark...

As Inada illustrates, government documents and written accounts are not the only way to study the
issues surrounding the internment; poetry, being a traditional and cherished practice brought over from
Japan and continued in the United States, serves to give a unique and informative perspective into the
lives of the Japanese internees. Not only does the poetry written by Japanese aliens and American
citizens of Japanese descent describe the living conditions in the relocation camps they were
imprisoned in, but it also demonstrates the array of emotions these people felt, including the hope of
one day being free, the anger at being imprisoned, and, most prominently, the sadness from being
away from home and loved ones.
Why was writing poetry so popular in the internment camps? Jori and Kay Nakano relate that short
poems were ideal forms for the internees expression of their pent up emotion, because of the scarcity
of writing paper. The Nakanos also point out that short poems were a Japanese tradition of expression,
and thus a form that the people of Japanese descent were comfortable with. Their poetry offered a
means of escape and relief, a way to vent and reflect in the harsh environment they were trapped in.
While commenting on his own experiences, Inada asserts that if it weren t for the poem, the thoughts
and feelings would have stayed submerged, unexpressed, gradually fading and dispersing in my
consciousness, and that

F. Scott Fitzgerald s novel The Great Gatsby focuses on the corruption of the American dream during
the 1920 s. For the duration of this time period, the American dream was no longer about hard work
and reaching a set goal, it had become materialistic and immoral. Many people that had honest and
incorruptible dreams, such as Jay Gatsby, used corrupted pathways to realize their fantasy. People s
carelessness was shown through their actions and speech towards others. Fitzgerald uses
characterization and symbolism from different characters and items to convey the corruption of the

Fishing Persuasive Essay
It twas a warm July morning and the best friends George and Jeff were out on the water. The two boys
loved fishing and they would always try to go. When they would comeback they would always have
new stories and forever memories from their previous adventure. The boys would do whatever it took
to get to a fishing spot. The boys have stories from when they had to swim upstream to a spot, or have
to tightrope walk a dam, once they even kayak down river for 3 days just to get to a fishing hole.
One day the two boys were in church, when George looked over at Jeff whose face could show that he
had an idea. A couple minutes later George looked over again and made eye contact with Jeff, Jeff
lipped out the words We need to talk. After the church bells signaled the end of the service George
hustled to the meeting spot under the berry tree where him and Jeff always met. Georged asked What
you wanna talk about? Jeff told him about his plan to canoe the Llano river from Llano Texas to Lake
LBJ. It was music to George s ears.
Jeff went home after church to think about their trip. He thought about all the good times they had and
all the fish they caught on the Llano. He dreamed about their trip and was counting down the days
until his trip. At night he would dream about pulling in a monster, or he would have nightmares of his
line snapping.

based on the social values of good and bad. However, people tend to define them as the standards and

referring to acts of both good and bad deeds. Nonetheless, in a recent case with the FBI vs. the

Apple mentioned also in their letter to their customers that they were against terrorism. They
continued to state that as a company they did everything in their power to help the FBI in investigating
this case and catch these criminals. However, Apple did not want to risk its customer s privacy
because it was found that most apple product users store data such as private conversations, photos,
music, notes, calendars and contacts, financial information and health data in their devices. Since
Apple operates their company based on certain values one of them being safeguarding their customer s
data, this prompted decision to deny the FBI the software or backdoor that would ve risked the privacy
of millions of iPhone users. The FBI however is willing to do just about anything to solve a case, one
that especially involves serious criminals investigates. Keeping this in mind you can see why the FBI
refused to think morally in favor of Apple and how this backdoor software would ve tarnished the
reputation and decreased business for this company. However it is concluded both of these parties did

Impact Of The Silk Road Indian Ocean Trade And Trans...
The Silk Road, Indian Ocean Trade and Trans Saharan Trade Networks were all routes/networks of
trade throughout the eastern hemisphere. People would travel these routes so that they could trade for
things that they wanted from other areas. Here, people were able to trade for commodities and raw
materials, but also be able to learn about new things such as religion and education. Culture and
economy allowed for trade to expand in the Silk Road, Indian Ocean and Trans Saharan Trade
Networks and it brought people from different lands together, expanded their knowledge, and affected
their governments through its views. First, the economy brought Eurasian civilizations together
through the trading routes. When traveling through the Middle East, Africa and Asia, Moroccan
explorer Ibn Battuta states that Some of the Chinese own large numbers of ships that they send to
foreign countries. There are no people in the world wealthier than the Chinese. (Ibn Battuta, and H. A.
R. Gibbs.). China was a very wealthy civilization in this time and their trade with other lands allowed
them to form relations with the lands that they traded with. Other countries would want to trade with
China due to its known wealth. In Traveling Salesmen, Traveling Taxmen , Kenneth Pomeranz and
Steven Topik describe the Indian Ocean trade and state that since India was probably the world s
largest exporter from 1500 1700, the horse trade was a crucial link in world trade. (Kenneth Pomeranz
and Steven Topik). Most of the horses being traded were coming from India, which means that many
merchants wanted to go to India so that they could get valuable horses. At this time, horses were very
valuable because it was a way of transportation, so some people wanted to buy them. This brought
people together by bringing them to one area to exchange commodities and it allowed access for a
way of transportation to be able to trade in the future. The Department and the king of Ancient Ghana
states that In the eighth and ninth centuries, Arab merchants operating in southern Moroccan towns
such as Sijilmasa bought gold from the Berbers, and financed more caravans. ( Arts of Africa,

Sense And Sensibility Play Summary
My impression of the play Sense Sensibility adapted by Jessica Swale was that it was almost like a
soap opera . There were tons of drama throughout the play and was also was almost two and half
hours long. It was based on a family the lives in England from the mid 90 s called the Dashwood s.
Throughout the play it was mostly based on the struggles that the Dashwood s went through on a daily
basis. The main struggle was them losing their father John Dashwood. They lost their castle of a house
and almost all of the wealth. Everything went to Mr. Dashwood s half brother and his wife. Also, the
love feuds that went on between Elinor Dashwood and Marianne Dashwood played a huge part of the
play. Sense Sensibility started off with the Dashwood s losing their house and basically all of their
money. This caused great anger and fear for the Dashwood family. Before the family had to move out
of the house one of the protagonist Elinor Dashwood fell in love with her sister in law s brother
Edward. They had to move into their distant relatives the Middleton s family. Their house wasn t

Influence of Iliad to Troy
First off, Homer s Iliad was the main source of influence for Wolfgang Petersen s film, Troy. However,
even though it is directly influenced by the poem, Troy does not stay true to the poem for the entire
movie. Some major difference s between Homer s Iliad and Wolfgang Petersen s film Troy, is that
there was no mention of the Gods being participants in the battle of Troy. This was a major plot point
in Homer s Iliad, as the Gods who fought on the battlefield had somewhat of an influence on the
outcome of each battle and eventually the outcome of the war. By taking out the God element that the

New Classical Macroeconomics arose from the Monetarism and Rational Expectation School in the

The Department Of Homeland Security Act
When one thinks of security, they tend to think of being protected, free from harm or danger. There are
various security threats that the world faces today. Threats could range from a series of cyber threats to
terrorist attacks. We are incessantly encountered with catastrophic man made and natural diseases. The
Department of Homeland Security measures the nation s vulnerabilities, meaning it takes initiative in
leading and evaluating vulnerabilities and coordinating with other federal, state, local, and private
entities to safeguard the most effective response. The creation of the country s 15th Cabinet
Department marked the largest reorganization of government since the Truman administration.
The Department of Homeland Security Act was created a year after September 11th, 2001 to ensure
the protection of the American border and the people; also to measure and monitor counterterrorism.
Since 2002, there have been six Secretaries of Homeland Security. The Secretary of Homeland
Security has the ability to impact and shape the agenda of how the United States of America executes
and defends the various players that try to attack us. Secretary Michael Chertoff, when compared to

Literary Scholarship And Criticism Of Shakespeare s The...
Shakespeare critic and Harvard literature professor, Harold Bloom, asserts that Shakespeare is the
metaphorical inventor of man. Bloom writes:
The plays remain the outward limit of human achievement: aesthetically, cognitively, in certain ways
morally, even spiritually. They abide beyond the end of the mind s reach, we cannot catch up to them.
Shakespeare will go on explaining us, in part because, he invented us (pp. 19 20).
Bloom s audacious evaluation of Shakespeare has been echoed throughout the canon of literary
scholarship and criticism. In fact, Bloom s invention thesis, found in Shakespeare: The Invention of
the Human, represents a culmination of centuries of teaching and reflection upon the famous English
poet s craft. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hamlet: The Prince of Denmark is a hallmark example of Shakespeare s contemplation of social
tolerance and equity in the exploration of human sociology. In this play, we see the malignant
ambition of newly throned King Claudius, the questionable decision making of Queen Gertrude, and
the emotionally preying and encompassing force of murdered King Hamlet s ghost, construct the
grounds for contemplation of human drama; this contemplation is essentially distilled and literally
embodied by the character of Prince Hamlet. Moreover, the truth, hidden at the onset of this play, sets
the internal and external conflict for Prince Hamlet as well as the figurative stage for a study of human
character and action, or alternatively, ego and power. Prince Hamlet s own ego is festered by the crime
against his father: a murder committed by Hamlet s ambitious uncle, Claudius, whose own ego has led
him down a the path of a usurper. Yet, Shakespeare exposes that the pains of human ego are not
morally equivalent between these two. Hamlet s pain and feelings of slight come at the potential truth
that his father was murder. His ego is that of a wounded sense of self created out of the anguish he
feels in his inability to take deliberate action against Claudius, driven out of the lack of evidence to

Judicial Originality And The Legal System
Topic 2
By: Raylen White
Judicial originality is the most fundamental principle in the legal system. Judicial originality to me
means being able to make a decision based off the effects. If a judge has had a case in the past similar
to a current one, the judge can base his current decision using the same discretion or rule he used
before. Dworkin wrote a paper about this, he argues that judges should not be able to create laws
through the effect of their decisions. He has two arguments about why judicial originality is not a good
thing for society. In this paper I will talk about these arguments and if Dworkin has the right to claim
that this argument has no force against it. The first argument he had against judicial originality was
that a community should be govern by men and women who are elected by and responsible to the
majority. This means that most judges are not elected by a wide spread of the community, and if they
could make their own laws they would not benefit the community. It is important that the community
has a say on what should be a law and what should not be a law. If judges were to make laws that
would be a contradiction to the theory of separation of powers. It would seem to be that judges are
analogous to the legislature, which in fact, they are not because the legislature is elected. Policy
decisions must therefore be made through the operation of some political process designed to produce
an accurate expression of the different interest that

Gallipoli Film Analysis
This film analysis will define the importance of mateship and sportsmanship in the ANZAC culture of
Gallipoli (1981). Peter Weir film of the Gallipoli Campaign from 1915 196 revolves around the
mateship of Frank Dunne (Mel Gibson) and Archy Hamilton (Mark Lee) that binds them through
sportsmanship and military nationalism. The Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC)
culture is typically based on the athleticism of soldiering culture, which allows Frank to become a
runner of information dispatches during the campaign. More so, Archy s speed is deferred because of
his patriotic desire to be on the front lines of the war. However, Frank and Archy are bound by the
mateship that they experience as alienated short distance runners, which ... Show more content on

The mateship of Archy and Frank is based on the sportsmanship culture of Western Australia, which
was a popular recruitment method for young men that joined ANZAC and, eventually, fought in the
Gallipoli Campaign. Archy is a the blindly loyal nationalist that relies on his running skills to put peer
pressure on Frank to join ANZAC. Frank initially declines, but the sportsmanship culture encourages a
deep bond with a fellow short distance runner in the effort to maintain mateship. However, there were
many different soldiers from a wide variety of backgrounds, such as lower class backgrounds, which
define a different and less romantic view of sportsmanship that Weir presents in this film. In reality,
man men from the lower working classes joined ANZAC as a way to avoid poverty and low wage
work. Archy and Frank s relationship is a heroic and romantic view of the Gallipoli Campaign, yet it
does show the horror and carnage of bloody murder of young men, such as Archy, that died in this
failed attack against the Turkish Army. In this manner, the film Gallipoli provides insight into some
aspects of mateship and sportsmanship between Archy and frank that was certainly valid, but it does
not provide a comprehensive and realistic understanding of the multiple perspectives of class status
and identity that defined enlistment in ANZAC in WWI.

Obstacles For Doing Business In Italy
Italy has been known for its unstable government for years. The country has a huge public debt, issues
with organized crime, high unemployment, as well as disparities between the industrialized North and
less developed South. The country with its new Prime Minister is trying to improve the situation in
Italy and has already approved some important reforms, to improve the political and economic
system.. Italy is a Democratic Republic. There are two houses in the Italian Parliament and both have
equal rights and powers. The President of Italy is elected for a seven year term by an electoral college.
The President is independent of all branches of government.(Understanding Italy, 2010). Italy has
been known for its unstable government for years. The country fell into turmoil due to scandals and
government bribes. Italy has had 63 governments since the Second World War and none of them were
strong enough to implement core reforms to the country. There is a lot of uncertainty how long a new

Although many countries are interested in the Italian market, it is often difficult to understand the
regulatory and legal requirements in Italy. There are many obstacles for doing business in Italy. The
political interference, bureaucracy, corruption, high levels of taxation, a rigid labor market, and an
ineffective judicial system is not conducive to doing business in this country. (Capuano M, 2015)
Political uncertainties prevent businesses from obtaining permissions and permits in a smooth and
quick way and they also affect corporate payment behavior. Court procedures in Italy are very slow.
The complexity of the regulatory system causes delays and makes the cost of entrepreneurial activity
high. Companies that are interested in starting or broadening their businesses have to obtain licenses
which is costly and time consuming (The Heritage Foundation,

Chinese Buddhism
Buddhism traveled from India through the Silk Road and Central Asia to northern China in the first
century C.E. At that time the Chinese believed in Confucian values also known as the Chinese values.
The conflict between these values continued through many ruling Chinese dynasties. There were
inherent differences between the Buddhist beliefs and practices and traditional Confucius beliefs
practiced by the Chinese. These differences are captured in the three sources which are collection of
many biographies.
The first source is a collection of sixty five biographies of Buddhist nuns. This covers the period
between fourth and sixth centuries. This passage deals with the lives of nuns. It is a story of Lingshou
who was a young and intelligent woman. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The passage articulated how increase in Buddhism has created more priests and temples at the cost of
work and family values. The spread of Buddhism lead to exhaustion of resources of the Empire from
317 C.E through 557 C.E. Gigantic temples and monasteries were like Imperial palaces. Huge
amounts of money instead of going into farming and business went into building temples and
monasteries. Taizong the Imperial ancestor who ruled during the period 626 649 C.E built the Middle
Kingdom by governing his kingdom his accomplished learning and culture. He believed in the power
of state but he tried to balance both Buddhism and Chinese values. Zhenguan and Gaiyuan, later
instituted radical changes. The Buddhist enjoyed many privileges; they did not pay taxes and were
treated differently, which was detrimental to state. These values were at variance with the Confucius
values of general applicability of rules to all people within the state. By confiscating land occupied by
temples and monasteries and by bringing the monks into the mainstream of the state a healthy balance
was achieved which ended the extremes of the first two

AP Bio Osmosis and Diffusion lab
Diffusion and Osmosis Lab Introduction: 1) The relationship between the rate of diffusion, volume
and surface area is that the surface area of a subject somewhat correlates with the volume of the
object. When the surface area and volume are set up as a ratio, this gives a good idea as to how fast the
rate of diffusion will be. The higher surface area to volume ratio, the faster the rate of diffusion. This
is because then there is more surfaces to diffuse through and there materials to diffuse, the rate of
diffusion is a lot faster. Conversely, when there is a smaller surface area for more molecules to diffuse
through, the rate of diffusion will be lower. 2) A few different dialysis tubes, which are semi

water potential of the internal cell and its environment Dependant Variable: The effects rate of
diffusion/and or osmosis Repeated Trials: In procedure one, we tested diffusion on different sized cell
models (gelatin with various volume and surface area wise). In procedure two, we tested cell models
in different internal environments and similar external environments to find the effects on rate of
osmosis. In procedure three, we used potato cells in different concentrated sucrose environments to
test the effects on water potential on cells and osmosis. Conclusion: 1. The relationship between rate
of diffusion/ osmosis, volume, and surface area can be easily seen and analyzed through the data that

What is more, teen couples bite each other regularly to show affection, sometimes so hard they draw
blood and what is even more bizarre: some of them cut their skin so they can taste one another s
blood. According to doctors biting can lead to diseases. Fifteen percent of bites from humans can
become infected; moreover, biting can spread sometimes blood borne diseases like HIV, hepatitis or
syphilis. Let s see an example from the first part of Twilight Saga, because it has been already
mentioned. In the first part of the series, Bella says, About three things I was absolutely positive. First,
Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him and I didn t know how potent that part might
be that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.
(Meyer,195) It sounds as if teenagers are influenced to fall in love with something like Satan. So it is
enough if the man is handsome, it doesn t matter if he is life threatening. In the end, just like in fairy
tales, everything is going to be alright and they will live happily ever after. The only problem is that in
real life it doesn t work. Moreover, one of the most famous quotes from New Moon, the film
interpretation of the second part is Death is peaceful....easy....life is harder... . An impressionable
young mind may easily define this that it s easier to commit suicide than to manage with the troubles.

The Presence of the Alu Sequence Using PCR
Introduction
For millions of years, repetitive DNA sequences such as the Alu sequence have been randomly
inserted in the human genome. In this experiment, I will study whether or not the repetitive element
such as the Alu sequence is present in the PV92 region of chromosome 16 of my DNA. I will then
gather the data from my Biology Lab Class and compare it with those of the United States. To perform
this experiment, the method of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) will be used to amplify the DNA.
The purpose of using PCR is to create enough mass in order for it to run on the agarose gel

After it was expelled back into the cup, 1 ml of the saline rise was transferred into a micro test tube in
order for it to be spun in a balanced centrifuge. The micro test tube that contained the 1 ml of saline
rise was inside of the centrifuge for 2 minutes, resulting in cells at the bottom of the tube. Since all of
the cells were present at the bottom of the tube, the saline was poured off and the tube was vortexed to
be sure that there were no clumps of cells. Afterward, the InstaGene Master Mix (which removes
cofactor to inhibit DNA cutting enzymes) was vortexed with the saline rise in order to fully mix the
contents of the tube (Bio Rad Laboratories, Chromosome 16: PV92 PCR). The tube was then
incubated at 56 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes to inactivate DNAses and put on a second heat block at
100 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes to disrupt cell membranes. The tubes were put into a centrifuge then
cooled down in a 4 degrees Celsius fridge.

20 ul of DNA was added to 20ul of Master Mix. The Master Mix contained primers, dNTPs, Mg2+,
Taq DNA polymerase, and yellow dye. Both the DNA and Master Mix were mixed with the
micropipette. The DNA was then put into the thermal cycler containing 40 cycles of PCR
amplification, amounting to 3.5 hours of amplification.

In this noir reality, we have Hernan Guerra, Kirk Langstromg, and Bekka as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. However, apart for the several darker turns of this world, this Justice League kills. The AR 15 is a useful platform in that it has more customization choices than pretty much any other rifle on the market today. The reason for all these customization choices is that the AR 15 is probably the most widely available civilian rifle. The AR 15 was developed originally for the military, and was sold by Colt to the Army which classified the rifle as the M 16. The M 16 saw extensive use in Vietnam. It had some issues which were related to a lack of testing and after updating the rifle with a heavier barrel and a forward bolt assist, the M 16 was renamed the M16A1. The M16A1 was able to ... These questions are very complex and are hard to answer. This is because the answers change because of many factors like time, evidence, place and ideas. The answer may be generally the same. For example, what is justice? Justice is the maintenance or administration of what is just especially by the impartial adjustment of conflicting claims or the assignment of merited rewards or punishments. These documents helped resolve conflicts and establish order, but also showed inequalities of some of the systems. Medieval European law was based on old Germanic ideas and customs, but it was also influenced by the ancient Roman law system, these ideas are very complex and consisted of horrible punishments. Justice in Medieval Europe started from the fall of the Western Modern Empire, it became very difficult to manage law and order situations in the smaller kingdoms initiated by the Barbarians. The spread of religious movements of Christianity and Islamism made it even more challenging. To give protection of the kingdom, kings transferred power to knights and barons. The lower class of ordinary people like peasants and serfs accepted their rule to attain protection against invaders and rival kingdoms. This gave rise to feudalism and their overall justice system. European Feudalism was made from elements of the roman Regine. Roman villas and their land were granted to military leaders on a temporary basis as a reward for their loyalty to Rome and the ... Introducing the dramatic twist of this graphic memoir written by Alison Bechdel will be explained in my essay. Alison Bechdel is a young lady who came out as being lesbian at the age of 19. Bechdel is the only child of a family of three and she deals with a problem which has to do with her father giving her hidden love. Bechdel uses memoir in the book to find herself in life in many ways. Bechdel relates in memoir through her parents as they were talented in their own way, so she compare her lifestyle to theirs. Her coming out to be lesbian was used in a way different from her father. Bechdel would include details in her drawings so that the audience could get an understanding of her. ... Bechdel father showed her hidden love. He loved her, but he did not really show it a lot because they never really talk. When Bechdel and her father did talk she was happy because it was unusual for her when he said something to her, or when he got close to her. Bechdel father also tried to take her to a gay bar after her and her father came from the movies, but she was not 21 years old. Bechdel father knew she was homosexual so that made her feel opened and more loved by her father because she felt that he is now understanding her more about her homosexual life. • 8. The Role of Law Enforcement in Curbing Gang Violence Background: Most research shows that the public believes that law enforcement s major goal in many urban and suburban areas is to prevent gang activity. Gang activity is certainly not a new phenomenon, but has been part of human history since Ancient Times (Rome, Greece, the Middle Ages, etc.). In most countries, gang violence patterns the sociological development of society and the evolution of criminal activity as criminal activity becomes more sophisticated, so do gang activities. While most sociological theories tie gang behavior to youth violence, one can trace a number of changes in gang violence to the way organized crime has evolved in the United States (Franzese, et al., 2006). At the beginning of the 20th century, for instance, gangs were often based around ethnic boundaries and confined within ethnic neighborhoods. These early gangs tended to focus on non violent or human weakness crime (e.g. prostitution, gambling, nontaxable cigarettes and alcohol). Once gambling because legal in Nevada, much of the organized crime dealing with gambling moved to Las Vegas, while still retaining some ties to the major metropolitan areas. As tastes changed, so did the criminological focus of gangs; from liquor to drugs, from drugs to social and political control back focusing on ethnic boundaries (e.g. Asian, Latino, etc.) (Jackson and McBridge, 2000). Overview of the Research The research conducted was done between 1990 and 1993 focusing on gang behavior. The researchers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It contrasted the Renaissance and Baroque periods, because composers were able to express about their emotions and problems within their artworks. The artwork that was created then was unique and new. The classical period s music was mainly dominated by three composers: Franz Joseph Haydn (1732 1809), Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 1791), and Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 1827). 1. Symphony: A. Definition: A symphony is a musical piece which is divided into four movements played by an orchestra. B. Overview and history: In the beginning of 18th century, many orchestra performances were private events funded by wealthy aristocrats, however, by the mid eighteenth century, public concerts which were funded by ticket sales became popular for middle class audiences to watch. Such concerts contained many singers, instrumental soloists, and other musical acts. Though, the big opener of a public concert was usually a symphony. I even bought little magic kits, but it was nothing like the magic I wanted to produce. In my teen years, a book called Harry Potter caught my attention. It took me to a world I thought could only belong in my head. J.K. Rowling brought words of description to my dreams and brought out the little witch and wizard in many children s lives. The Harry Potter books make witchcraft and the practice of magic seem appealing and fun; therefore, parents shouldn t allow their children to read them. This particular issue is the source of most Christianity complaints and protests against the Harry Potter books. Christians who express nothing but disdain for the separation of church and state when it comes to the government promoting Christianity, suddenly become defenders of the principle. They are arguing that schools are inappropriately promoting religion when students are encouraged to read Harry Potter. Even if they are hypocritical, it would matter if they are right because schools shouldn t encourage students to read books that promote a particular religion. Most people tend to regard censorship as a bad thing, but if the Harry Potter books really do promote witchcraft then perhaps there haven t been enough challenges. If the Harry Potter books don t promote witchcraft, but merely include witchcraft as part of the fabric of a fantasy world, then complaints are less about the books themselves. • 12. My Experience For My Volunteer Experience For my volunteer experience I chose to go to YMCA which stands for Young Men s Christian Association. Their mission is to make a healthy body, mind and spirit through their Christian principles. Their main focus in on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The reason I chose YMCA is because I try to live a healthy lifestyle and as that is their mission at YMCA it will be interesting to see what I will learn when I volunteer. Before the experience I thought I would volunteer by fundraising for a cause they support or help provide services in the gym. I also thought I might work with customers in the front desk. I was hoping to work with the children in the sports teams to help coach and teach them more about the sport. I stated to the YMCA manager that I need to volunteer because it is an assignment I have for college. She was very lenient on what I would like to do and let me choose from a plethora of options. I was told that I will be able to switch positions throughout the day since it was for my class and it would make it more of a learning experience for me. The day I went in for volunteering, I was positioned as a phone attendant answering phone calls to anyone who had questions about YMCA, I was given a packet of information to be able to answer those questions. I answered my first call and was able to successfully help the person with their question but I did not enjoy this position as much because it felt more like work than volunteering. After ... However, there are ethical concerns about whether the practice of designer babies will be used for the intended purpose. Since the parents are the ones deciding their baby s genes, they are able to choose according to their preferences. Therefore, it gives parents the option to decide their babies appearance and personality. Thus, it leads to the controversial aspect of gender selection through the technology of designer baby as the sex of a child at birth can be prearranged by choosing embryos for a specific sexual trait (Verlinsky, 2005, p. 24). However, the concept of designer babies is still relatively new; thus, it raise concerns about the safety of this technique. Also, the process of designer babies has only been experimented on rabbits and rats, so it has yet to be tested on humans. Therefore, there could be hidden risks and side effects for humans that have yet to be discovered until after the procedure is completed. The issue of competence emerges because patients must understand the treatment involved and the potential side effects, as well as the probability of possible outcomes (Morrison and Furlong, 2014, p. 262). The editing of the genome is still a mystery as there could be unexplored territories. There could be the possibility of cleaving the wrong genes and as a result serious side effects may occur when necessary genes are sliced. In addition, unpredictable consequences may occur in future generations, so prospective problems may not always appear until the birth of the baby (Pang and Ho, 2016). Thus, it raises the risk of the emergence of new types of diseases or disabilities if genes are edited. It will be difficult to tell when problems arise during the process and it may eventually show up only once the irreversible procedure is completed. Furthermore, the success rate of impregnation is lower than most would like, harvesting eggs from the woman a procedure not without burdens may have to be done multiple times (Suter, 2007, p. 930). Women will have to undergo the risk of implantation even though it is not guaranteed that she will become pregnant as a result. The cost of this procedure is quite significant, but there is still a chance that the process may not work or is ineffective. Therefore, it is not possible to know the potential risks until it emerges, so it questions the safety of designer babies because there is still more to learn about the technique since it is still ... • 14. The And Native American Populations From a European stand point, altering the lives of the Native Americans was a perfectly justifiable action. They were uncivilized, and thus must be welcoming of their attempts to convert them to a more advanced manner of living. At the same time, however, they must have notions of owning land, of claiming sections of the Earth as their own, of trade and association of certain objects with high value. This, however, was a paradoxical viewpoint. The main problem that resulted from the intermixing of European and Native American populations was a misunderstanding of what each culture maintained as important within their lives. To the natives, mourning wars, gods who were part of the Earth itself, sacrifices, and any other number of various traditions were natural to who they were. The Europeans, in contrast, valued war as a means of gaining territory, not people; they often were monotheistic, with odd customs all their own, such as self torture or confession. The differences between the two cultures could have been overcome, perhaps, if there had been some attempt to understand one another s values. However, as evidenced, Europeans did not attempt to understand without an ultimate aspiration to change. One of the defining aspects that shaped Native American life after exposure to the Europeans was the disease they brought along with them. In The Jesuit Relations, as well as in other readings, the fathers explained this illness as a sort of cleansing designed by God. They ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Venous insufficiency occurs when there is too much pressure on the veins in the legs so that the wall of the vein becomes weak and the tiny valves inside the veins stop working properly. This results in the blood pooling in the vein causing it to bulge and twist. Compression hose helps reduce the pressure in the veins and prevents the veins from shutting down. They force the blood to pass through narrower channels, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They are prescribed to treat lymphatic and venous drainage of the leg. While this may or may not be true, many athletes have anecdotal evidence that they benefit from the stockings. Both types of compression hose come in knee high or thigh high length. Knee high is considered the best choice for prevention of deep vein thrombosis. They are also more comfortable. However, this is a decision that may be made by our specialist. Compression stockings may have a circular knit that is more attractive or a flat knit that has a seam and is mostly used for high compression purposes. • 16. The Black Art Movement And The Black Arts Movement The Black Aesthetic is a form of cultural expression that solidified itself during the Black Arts Movement that was meant to exemplify black pride and reformation, culture, and community. Many works that arose out of the Black Arts Movement depicted the role and responsibilities of the black artist. Ralph Ellison claimed in his essay, The World and the Jug that he did not want to be seen as a Negro artist but rather just an artist. This was understandable because he wanted to be known for his talent rather than as a figurehead for his people but since then, there has been a lot of significant historical and cultural development to this argument. After The World and the Jug was released in 1964, we had the death of Malcolm X in 1965 which was the catalyst for the Black Arts Movement to truly begin. Black artists became very insistent upon invoking change through their work and expressing their blackness unapologetically and it began to show. There was a change in mindset where these newer artists wrote about their blackness and instances occurring in black communities simply because it was a defining part of who they were, especially as women were given a voice in the movement and were able to incorporate a new viewpoint despite the evident hyper masculinity. Yes, they were artists, but they were black artists. Two poems that specifically exemplify this are Poem about My Rights and Poem about Police Violence by June Jordan. He was born on December 1, 1948 in Northumberland, United Kingdom and became a very wellknown British New Testament scholar. (Wikipedia) N.T. Wright s book, After You Believe, is mainly devoted to discussing how Christians need to act after they have received and believed in Jesus Christ. It is like discussing Part 2 of Christianity, with Part 1 simply being belief, and Part 2 being what is to follow. This book heavily revolves around Christian character, virtue, and how it is formed. N.T. Wright describes this as ...the transforming, shaping, and marking of a life and its habits (page 7) As Christians, many may ask what the end goal is. What is the purpose of living a life with virtue or good character? N.T. Wright presents three different options of what this might look like, and why it is important. The first option puts heaven as the final goal. This goal can only be achieved by faith in Jesus Christ because of his death and resurrection. We work towards this goal in what we do in our everyday lives. The second Christian model that Wright talks about is the goal of working towards God s kingdom through our own everyday activities. This way of living was demonstrated to us by Jesus up until his death on the cross. As Christians we need to live a life anticipating God s coming kingdom on earth by ... As Inada illustrates, government documents and written accounts are not the only way to study the issues surrounding the internment; poetry, being a traditional and cherished practice brought over from Japan and continued in the United States, serves to give a unique and informative perspective into the lives of the Japanese internees. Not only does the poetry written by Japanese aliens and American citizens of Japanese descent describe the living conditions in the relocation camps they were imprisoned in, but it also demonstrates the array of emotions these people felt, including the hope of one day being free, the anger at being imprisoned, and, most prominently, the sadness from being away from home and loved ones. Why was writing poetry so popular in the internment camps? Jori and Kay Nakano relate that short poems were ideal forms for the internees expression of their pent up emotion, because of the scarcity of writing paper. The Nakanos also point out that short poems were a Japanese tradition of expression, and thus a form that the people of Japanese descent were comfortable with. Their poetry offered a means of escape and relief, a way to vent and reflect in the harsh environment they were trapped in. • 39. Influence of Iliad to Troy First off, Homer s Iliad was the main source of influence for Wolfgang Petersen s film, Troy. However, even though it is directly influenced by the poem, Troy does not stay true to the poem for the entire movie. Some major difference s between Homer s Iliad and Wolfgang Petersen s film Troy, is that there was no mention of the Gods being participants in the battle of Troy. This was a major plot point in Homer s Iliad, as the Gods who fought on the battlefield had somewhat of an influence on the outcome of each battle and eventually the outcome of the war. By taking out the God element that the original poem had, Wolfgang Petersen has given the film more room for human emotions. This allows themes like love to be much more emphasised than ... Petersen s version of the Trojan war, stays true to the basic plot line of the actual Trojan war detailed in Homer s Iliad. However the basic plot line which Petersen retains is not enough to give viewers, details on what really happened in the Trojan war. Petersen sacrifices key plot points for themes that will appeal to the more modern audience as his version contains the drama that a modern audience loves and the theme of romance and love, which the modern audience also enjoys. This would not be the case for an ancient Greek audience, as the ancient Greeks preferred a much more violent, philosophical story, with literary opinions on the Gods, which they ... Introduction New Classical Macroeconomics arose from the Monetarism and Rational Expectation School in the 1970s and follows the tradition of classical economics. Keynesian economists believe that changes in the money supply will lead to changes in effective demand that will changes in the total economy. Bloom writes: The plays remain the outward limit of human achievement: aesthetically, cognitively, in certain ways morally, even spiritually. They abide beyond the end of the mind s reach, we cannot catch up to them. Shakespeare will go on explaining us, in part because, he invented us (pp. 19 20). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hamlet: The Prince of Denmark is a hallmark example of Shakespeare s contemplation of social tolerance and equity in the exploration of human sociology. In this play, we see the malignant ambition of newly throned King Claudius, the questionable decision making of Queen Gertrude, and the emotionally preying and encompassing force of murdered King Hamlet s ghost, construct the grounds for contemplation of human drama; this contemplation is essentially distilled and literally embodied by the character of Prince Hamlet. Moreover, the truth, hidden at the onset of this play, sets the internal and external conflict for Prince Hamlet as well as the figurative stage for a study of human character and action, or alternatively, ego and power. Prince Hamlet s own ego is festered by the crime against his father: a murder committed by Hamlet s ambitious uncle, Claudius, whose own ego has led him down a the path of a usurper. Yet, Shakespeare exposes that the pains of human ego are not morally equivalent between these two. Hamlet s pain and feelings of slight come at the potential truth that his father was murder. His ego is that of a wounded sense of self created out of the anguish he feels in his inability to take deliberate action against Claudius, driven out of the lack of evidence to truly ... • 43. Judicial Originality And The Legal System Topic 2 By: Raylen White Judicial originality is the most fundamental principle in the legal system. Judicial originality to me means being able to make a decision based off the effects. If a judge has had a case in the past similar to a current one, the judge can base his current decision using the same discretion or rule he used before. Dworkin wrote a paper about this, he argues that judges should not be able to create laws through the effect of their decisions. He has two arguments about why judicial originality is not a good thing for society. In this paper I will talk about these arguments and if Dworkin has the right to claim that this argument has no force against it. The first argument he had against judicial originality was that a community should be govern by men and women who are elected by and responsible to the majority. This means that most judges are not elected by a wide spread of the community, and if they could make their own laws they would not benefit the community. It is important that the community has a say on what should be a law and what should not be a law. If judges were to make laws that would be a contradiction to the theory of separation of powers. It would seem to be that judges are analogous to the legislature, which in fact, they are not because the legislature is elected. Policy decisions must therefore be made through the operation of some political process designed to produce an accurate expression of the different interest that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Peter Weir film of the Gallipoli Campaign from 1915 196 revolves around the mateship of Frank Dunne (Mel Gibson) and Archy Hamilton (Mark Lee) that binds them through sportsmanship and military nationalism. The Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) culture is typically based on the athleticism of soldiering culture, which allows Frank to become a runner of information dispatches during the campaign. More so, Archy s speed is deferred because of his patriotic desire to be on the front lines of the war. The mateship of Archy and Frank is based on the sportsmanship culture of Western Australia, which was a popular recruitment method for young men that joined ANZAC and, eventually, fought in the Gallipoli Campaign. Archy is a the blindly loyal nationalist that relies on his running skills to put peer pressure on Frank to join ANZAC. Frank initially declines, but the sportsmanship culture encourages a deep bond with a fellow short distance runner in the effort to maintain mateship. However, there were many different soldiers from a wide variety of backgrounds, such as lower class backgrounds, which define a different and less romantic view of sportsmanship that Weir presents in this film. In reality, man men from the lower working classes joined ANZAC as a way to avoid poverty and low wage work. Archy and Frank s relationship is a heroic and romantic view of the Gallipoli Campaign, yet it does show the horror and carnage of bloody murder of young men, such as Archy, that died in this failed attack against the Turkish Army. In this manner, the film Gallipoli provides insight into some aspects of mateship and sportsmanship between Archy and frank that was certainly valid, but it does not provide a comprehensive and realistic understanding of the multiple perspectives of class status and identity that defined enlistment in ANZAC in WWI. ... AP Bio Osmosis and Diffusion lab Diffusion and Osmosis Lab Introduction: 1) The relationship between the rate of diffusion, volume and surface area is that the surface area of a subject somewhat correlates with the volume of the object. When the surface area and volume are set up as a ratio, this gives a good idea as to how fast the rate of diffusion will be. The higher surface area to volume ratio, the faster the rate of diffusion. This is because then there is more surfaces to diffuse through and there materials to diffuse, the rate of diffusion is a lot faster. Conversely, when there is a smaller surface area for more molecules to diffuse through, the rate of diffusion will be lower. 2) A few different dialysis tubes, which are semi permeable, will represent a ...
