Internal and External Factors Within Best Buy Essay example
External/Internal Factors External and internal factors come in many forms that can impact a business
in different ways. Assessing external and internal factors that an organization may face can be vital to
the planning function of management. As with any organization, there are always four functions of
management. These functions are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling (Bateman Snell,
2009, p. 19). Within the organization, Best Buy, which is known to be an electronics store, has their
own external and internal factors. Founded in 1966 as Sound of Music and incorporating in 1983 to
become Best Buy, Inc. (Ask.com, 2010, para. 1), accounting for 19% of the market (Metaweb, 2010,
para. 1), has become one of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The stakeholders include other employees, end customers, vendors, investors, and the community.
Relationships built upon these individuals feed the understanding of the company s changing needs.
Best Buy promotes and open source technique that allows the employees to determine what works
best based from first hand experience. Like any successful business, Best Buy has to be on the cutting
edge to succeed in today s market. They do this by exploring what technologies and services other
companies display all around the world. Best Buy also pays attention to the changing of times,
realizing what s dated and what is on the cutting edge. In 2006, Congress passed a law that required
television signal providers to abandon analog broadcasting ultimately switching to digital. Best Buy
was the first store completely to rid the option of buying television analog equipment. Best Buy also
understood the growing global market for the gaming media. By partnering themselves with
manufacturers and the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), they were able to involve
themselves with rating systems assigned to games. Taking a step further, Best Buy took the initiative
to control the selling of m rated games and banning adult only games, promoting a family atmosphere.
Best Buy also considers themselves the leader in establishing policies and standards concerning
protecting customer and employee privacy.

Subliminal Messages In The Crucible By Arthur Miller
Arthur Miller writes many subliminal messages throughout the play. The most prominent is: a
community can be so overcome by hysteria that it neglects logical facts. When first reading the story
with no other historical comparisons, the message would be different. However, when other historical
events are added into the understanding, the story is a much deeper thought. The Red Scare was an
event taking place in 1940/50 s, almost 300 years before there was a similar event called the Salem
Witch trials. The Crucible was an allegory for Miller s time. It scared the people because it was too
real for them and that is why he was arrested on suspicion of being a communist. In actuality, he is
explaining that the human condition has preprogrammed

Argumentative Essay On Food Bank Rights
Food banks provide prevailing economic need as a distribution outlet for the federal government
(USDA), and national local food sources. Food banks serve and help create an infrastructure of
member s agencies, food panties that provide food directly to food insecure seniors and other food
insecure populations, soup kitchens and relief organizations. Food banks networks provide food
support for over 37 million Americans yearly including 14 million children and over 3 million older
adults. As of 2015 there were over 15, 000 food pantries throughout the United States. The majority of
seniors that use food banks receive some social assistance, over 41% lived alone, and over 22% of
food bank recipients in food insecure senior households had sought help from food banks, soup
kitchens, or other charitable agencies to feed themselves in the past year (AARP, 2014, p. 29 30). ...

The Dream Of The Rood Essay
Salvation Since the start of Christianity, it is said that the way of life is only to seek salvation. In the
poem, The Dream of the Rood, it is assumed to have been written in the 8th century, but there is no
exact time or authorship. By the 8th century, most of Anglo Saxon England were Christian. This was a
time where Roman Catholic Christianity was being shaken to the core by other entities, such as
paganism and Islamic invaders. The Dream of the Rood is intended to persuade people into
Christianity, salvation and acknowledging the power of God. At the start of the poem, the narrator is
having a dream where he is speaking to the cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified. He is astound
by the beauty of the gems decorating the cross but also seems to be alarmed by the drops of blood that
are smeared on the gems and on the side of the cross. There is an indication of the narrator s struggle;
his struggle of faith. The author indicates the following quote to plant the idea of a man in distress due
to his crippling faith:
This was surely no felon s gallows, for holy spirits beheld it, men upon earth, and all this glorious
creation. Wonderful was the triumphant tree, and I stained with sin, wounded with wrongdoing. I saw
the tree of wonder, adorned with clothes, shine brilliantly, decked with gold;
Torres 2 splendidly had jewels covered the Lord s tree. But through that gold I might see wretches

Backpressure Based Adaptive Routing and Scheduling In...
Under high traffic conditions, this works very well, and backpressure is able to fully utilize the
available network resources in a highly dynamic fashion. Under low traffic conditions, however,
because many other nodes may also have a small or 0 queue size, there is inefficiency in terms of an
increase in delay, as packets may loop or take a long time to make their way to the destination. This is
particularly of concern in intermittent encounter based mobile networks which are already delay
limited due to the sparse and highly dynamic network connectivity. Such networks have proposed the
use of redundant transmissions to improve delay, which do not work well when the traffic load is high.
Routing protocol, such as Spray and Wait, that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The additional transmissions incurred by BWAR due to the duplicates utilize available slots which
would otherwise go idle, in order to reduce the delay. Particularly for networks that are not energy
limited, this offers a more efficient way to utilize the available bandwidth during low load conditions.
In order to minimize the storage resource utilization of duplicate packets, ideally, these duplicate
packets should be removed from the network whenever a copy is delivered to the destination. Since
this may be difficult to implement (except in some kinds of networks with a separate control plane),
we also propose and evaluate a practical timeout mechanism for automatic duplicate removal. Under
high load conditions, because queues are rarely empty, duplicates are rarely created, and BWAR
effectively reverts to traditional backpressure and inherits its throughput optimality property. By
design, BWAR is highly robust and distributed and does not require prior knowledge of locations,
mobility patterns, and load conditions.
The duplicate queues are maintained and utilized as follows:
Original packets when transmitted are removed from the main queue; however, if the queue size is
lower than a certain threshold qth, then the transmitted packet is duplicated and kept in the duplicate
buffer associated with its destination if it is not full (otherwise no duplicate is created).
Duplicate packets are not removed from the duplicate buffer when transmitted. They

We Use A Gaussian Function As A Kernel Function
In order to specify the middle layer of an RBF we have to decide the number of neurons of the layer
and their kernel functions which are usually Gaussian functions. In this paper we use a Gaussian
function as a kernel function. A Gaussian function is specified by its center and width. The simplest
and most general method to decide the middle layer neurons is to create a neuron for each training
pattern. However the method is usually not practical since in most applications there are a large
number of training patterns and the dimension of the input space is fairly large. Therefore it is usual
and practical to first cluster the training patterns to a reasonable number of groups by using a
clustering algorithm such as K means or SOFM and then to assign a neuron to each cluster. A simple
way, though not always effective, is to choose a relatively small number of patterns randomly among
the training patterns and create only that many neurons. A clustering algorithm is a kind of an
unsupervised learning algorithm and is used when the class of each training pattern is not known. But
an RBFN is a supervised learning network. And we know at least the class of each training pattern. So
we d better take advantage of the information of these class memberships when we cluster the training
patterns. Namely we cluster the training patterns class by class instead of the entire patterns at the
same time (Moody and Darken, 1989; Musavi et al., 1992). In this way we can reduce at least the

Night and Fog vs Triumph of the Will Essay
Triumph of the Will and Night and Fog, portray Hitler s vision for Germany, and the findings of Allied
liberators of concentration camps in the beginning of World War II. A comparison of the films present
two very different views of what Hitler deemed necessary for Germany. They each displayed
propaganda in a way they re eye catching simply because of the raw footage. It took everything that
we knew about pre WWII and corrected it, so that we knew the truth about how the people of
Germany felt, and what they saw in those exact moments. The task of viewing these films was quite
difficult, and although both films seem to be a highly emotional and factual, I believe that Night and
Fog was a more superior piece of propaganda. I will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If Hitler is not on the screen, he is always an assumed to be present. The object of the mass s gaze, the
erotic object of the mesmerized, ecstatic women in the crowds. By making it seem as though even the
statues and cats stopped to gaze at his wonders. It s hard to believe than one person is loved by so
many; it is almost as if it were to be too good to be true, and it was. It s hard to see any realism in this
film, like it was scripted instead. As said previously, a convincing piece of propaganda shows the
viewer hope, but also reality, and in the film, it looks anything but realistic.
In Night and Fog it was an appropriate design the way the switched from color to black and white. I
got two different meanings from this. 1) We live today in our present environment in a world filled
with color. We don t go through hunger, torture and our dignities aren t taken from us. The black and
white represents to me other people around the world which still today are going through similar times
as these victims in this film went through. 2) The theme in on which the comparison is about the past
and the present was very clear. The same pathways which were filled with the blood of the victims
were now all buried under the ground. The color represented the present and the black and white
represented the past.
By declaring that in Triumph of the Will everything is genuine and that not a single scene is staged,

Treatments of heavy metal contaminants from effluent discharged by industries are more complex
than designing the treatment process. Bacopa Monnieri is one of the wetland plant used for the
removal of heavy metal, lead (Pb) from the aquatic medium. Effluent was collected from the Lead
acid battery waste treatment plant. It is standardized to 5, 10 and 15ppm to observe the uptake by
plant. Effluent was categorized as Direct Effluent (DE), DE+Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA)
and DE+Cow Dung Manure (CDM), where EDTA and CDM were used as a chelating agent to
influence in accumulation rate and degradation rate. Concentration of Pb in soil, plant (root and
shoots), and effluent had been done to calculate the degradation of Pb, Translocation factor (TF) and
Bioconcentration factor (BCF). This experiment shows tremendous differences in wetland plant unlike
the researches done in past. Results of the experiment were discussed below.
Introduction
Increasing modernization in urban and rural areas led to tremendous growth in industrial activities.
Untreated and partially treated effluents from industries and hospitals were discharged into the aquatic
environment. Due to these activities

The Size and Economic Impact of the Hospitality and...
The Size and Economic Impact of the Hospitality and Tourism industry:
Tourism is a massive industry in New Zealand. It has a major consequence on the rest of the economy
from the employment it provides to a major percentage of the workforce (9.6% of the total workforce
in New Zealand), thereby contributing to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
The tourism growth in New Zealand is the outcome of the numerous of options that the hospitality
industry offer visitors from all over the world. Some of the choice of accommodation that NZ offers
are Apartments, Beach Houses, Holiday homes, Motels, Backpackers, Holiday Parks, Homestays,
Nature retreats, Resorts , Health spas, Vineyard accommodation, Bed and breakfast, Farmstays, Hotels

3. Turnover:
The holiday park sector employed 2,200 people in 2009 and a large number (37%) of holiday parks
were run by self employed operators with no employees and 35% were small with 1 5 employees
(Ministry of Economic Development, 2010b). Consequently the turnover in this sector is insignificant.
When explored for accurate data on labour turnover in the self employed holiday theme park sector
with some employees, information was very limited. Some media articles on turnover in a particular
HTP i.e. Waihi Beach TOP 10 Holiday Resort states that their turnover has grown strongly, averaging
17% year on year growth, and some years as high as 25%(Voxy News Engine, 2011). Since, the article
does not explain the reason for the turnover but an assumption can be made from the types of visitors
at HTP, which is the employees employed at these places, ought to be travellers on holiday work visa.
4. Wages:
Tourism is a service industry and high quality tourism experiences rely on delivery of world class
service standards. Consecutively to provide a world class service, the industry requires skilled labour
force. A tight labour market demands attractive and competitive pay rates and working conditions. The
following table shows an average wage of an employee in hospitality sector. Although the industry is
growing at standard rate the wages are relatively low for tourism sector when compared to other
sectors.

1.What problem of motivation did Archie Norman discover at ASDA?
ASDA was one of the most successful retail businesses in the United Kingdom. It had a competitive
advantage due to its unique superstore structure and its low price leadership in the market. Everything
changed all of a sudden as ASDA found itself with demoralized employees, slow growth in sales, and
declining profits in 1991 due to many years of lack of interest from previous managers. It had been a 1
billion pounds cash surplus supermarket chain in 1987, and by 1991 it had a debt of over 1 billion

The Contradictions Of The Book Of Genesis
Though typically not recognized by Christians, the Book of Genesis contains two, contradictory
creation accounts. Genesis begins with the first account in which God creates humans, both male and
female, after he finishes creating other beings animals. Contrary, in the proceeding account God made
one human, Adam, and then created other creatures, like animals, in order to find Adam a proper
helpmeet. When none of the animals prove to be sufficient partners for Adam, God takes one of Adam
s ribs out and creates woman Eve. The most obvious contradictions of these stories are that in the first
story humans are created after the other animals, whereas, in the second creations tory humans Adam
are created before the other animals. In addition,

Satire In Mel Brooks Blazing Saddles
Satire walks a fine line between funny and not. If the audience does not understand the true intentions
of a satirical film then it is often seen as being offensive. Satire is designed to bring attention to
serious issues by making fun of them. Due to the nature of subjects often broached in satirical films
people often mistake them for supporting the very ideals they are trying to bring attention to. This can
be seen in Mel Brooks Blazing Saddles as the characters will often say very offensive things and if
one did not understand that it was all meant to be taken with a few grains of salt then they would
interpret the movie as being extremely offensive. Due to satires ability to bring attention to the

Frederick Douglass Disobedience
This quote sparks interest due to disobedience often containing a negative connotation. However, in
this quote disobedience is honorable, and to be called disobedient is a compliment. According to
Wilde, disobedience is beneficial and without it social progress could not be made. Without
disobedience, society is unable to change or improve from past mistakes. Without rebellion or
disobedience, what will promote people to act on their injustices? Rebellion and disobedience are
beneficial in promoting social progress. Through it, citizens are able to bring issues and injustices they
want acknowledged to the forefront. Through these ways, they try to make the world a better place for
everyone and to bring people to the realization as to why the issues that they face are at fault and that
they should be restored. In relation to the novel, The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass,
Frederick Douglass s disobedience ultimately sparked his freedom. Being introduced to the heart
rending shrieks from his aunt at such a young age, slavery has implanted a long lasting effect on his
life. Often times, when one experiences a painful memory in the manner such as, watching a family
member hit until they are covered with blood, sparks a fire to stand up for what is right in the back of
their mind. Douglass carried those visions of his aunt along with him his whole life, as well as his own

How Does Ayn Rand Use Gender In Atlas Shrugged
In her book, Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand uses a fictional story to critique the end result of several

Marxist slogan, From each according to his ability, to each according to his need. The world that Rand

are taken to the extreme, and societal collapse appears to be imminent. Much of this is revealed
through the thoughts and actions of a character that appears to be Rand s self insert, Dagny Taggart.

merely refuses to overplay it. One of the rare mentions of Dagny s gender in her work is found on
page 771, where Bertram Scudder introduces Dagny on his talk show with, the last descendant of an
illustrious name in our industrial history, the woman executive possible only in America. This
comment is brief, and appears harmless, but there is a deeper significance within it. Scudder uses the
words, only possible in America, to attribute Dagny s success to her circumstance, detaching it from
her own effort. This is one of the ways that several characters in the book justify their prejudice
against anyone who is better off than them; they attribute any achievement or detriment to
circumstance, minimizing the accomplishments of others and excusing their own behavior. The
characters who exhibit gender bias against Dagny are not limited to men. In fact, much of the sexism
of which she is subject comes from other women. Readers are exposed to this in a brief encounter with
a minor character named Betty Pope, who expresses her disdain for Dagny, calling her a grease
monkey. . .posing around like a big executive, (Rand, 73). She then comments on Dagny s femininity,
or lack thereof, implying that running a railroad is a task that is beneath a proper woman. The next
obvious drag on Dagny s femininity comes from her brother s second source of companionship, his
wife Cheryl. Cheryl Taggart s first encounter with Dagny is not a friendly one, as she seems to feel the
need to put Dagny in her place. She

Engstorn Auto Mirror Plant Case
MICHAEL BEER ELIZABETH COLLINS Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant: Motivating in Good Times
and Bad There had been several rough quarters at the Engstrom Auto Mirror plant in Richmond,
Indiana, a privately owned business that manufactured mirrors for trucks and automobiles and
employed 209 people. For more than a year, plant manager Ron Bent and his assistant, Joe Haley, had
focused their Friday meetings on the troubling numbers, but the tenor of their May 14, 2007, meeting
was different. Both men sensed that they now faced a crisis at the plant. Bent was talking animatedly
to Haley: This is the third productivity problem in, what, two weeks? We can t climb out of this
downturn with performance like that. He scowled as he signed the ... Show more content on

has similarly strong feelings about group incentive plans: If you are going to change your operations
or institute a new technology, product, or manufacturing line, the process to get that installed and
operational is much longer under an individual or a group incentive plan. A Scanlon Plan, Bent
thought, was the best for Engstrom, given the challenges that the plant faced: With Scanlon, workers
are receptive to new methods and new machinery because they feel they are a part of the company

How Bill Has Breached The Duty
With this, the existence of a duty of care has been proven and is now time to see if it has been
breached. It is up to Arthur to show Bill has breached the duty . To do so he will need to prove a
reasonable man would have not acted in the same way. The test is objective in a sense that Bill s skill
would not be considered in favour of those of a man who is presumed to be free both from over
apprehension and from over confidence . Bill ignored a warning saying no HGVs should be crossing
the bridge, it can be argued that no reasonable person would do this.
Moreover, seeing as Bill is a professional, the case of Maynard could be used to further support Arthur
s claim. In this case, it was held that it should also be shown no professional would agree with the
conduct of the defendant. In other words, would another policeman agree on letting an HGV pass in
such weather? The answer to this would arguably be no.
Having proven there is a duty of care and it has been breached, the next step would be to show the
breach was what caused damages. Causation has 2 main elements legal and factual. In order to
establish legal causation, one must use the but for test. In our case, the test would look something like,
But for Bill s negligence, would Arthur s accident have occurred. This test only questions the facts of
the case and is relatively straight forward. Thus, ignoring everything else, no, Arthur would not have
been in an accident if he had not been on the bridge, which Bill

Louis Armstrong Concert Analysis
Watching Louis Armstrong s live performance in Berlin during the year 1965 was a pleasure,
especially because I am a great fan of his music. Throughout the concert in Berlin, Armstrong and his
chamber orchestra played 13 different pieces. With the exception of Jewel Woods entrance on vocals
for two songs, the makeup of the chamber orchestra did not change throughout the concert. As a
result, the cello, clarinet, drums, piano, trombone, and trumpet remained vital parts of each song
throughout the concert.
Armstrong and his All Stars quickly began their first song, Sleepy Time Down South, before formally
introducing themselves. This song allowed the audience to prepare for the concert as the tempo was
consistently adagio. The song also gave each instrument in the chamber orchestra the opportunity to
each warm up with a song that was completely dolce and legato in fashion.
Next, the chamber orchestra quickly transitioned to a vivace song that was performed con fuoco and
was named Indiana. In this song, every instrument was given an uptempo solo to showcase the
performer s immense talent. The dynamic throughout was forte in fashion and did not vary from
beginning to end.
After Indiana was performed, the chamber orchestra transitioned to a more dolce and pesante Black
and Blue. Throughout this song, each performer played softly, keeping the dynamic at a piano level
until Armstrong s trumpet began to raise the dynamic to a more mezzo piano level. The song s

A Clockwork Orange Dialectical Journal Essay
A Clockwork Orange
Journal 1: pages 3 56 I found the first section of the novel, A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
to be confusing, but at the same time interesting. Burgess ideas were organized and thorough in each
chapter. The use of foreshadowing was used at the end of the first chapter implying violent acts
throughout the rest of the section. The constant use of slang called, Nadsat threw off my focus while
reading due to the distraction of flipping back and forth from the glossary back to the novel. Burgess
uses the slang to alienate what is occurring in the novel, especially the brutality of it. I noticed that
even though horrendous events are described I did not stop reading because the use of slang kept me
interested like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

event in particular is when Alex assaulted a drunken man on the street late at night. The man said, It s

Blended Family Relationships
stepfamilies may sometimes have lack of parental warmth and negative interactions, which leads to
disruptiveness and/or antisocial behaviors. It takes time for the adolescent to adjust to the loss of a
parent in a household.
Adolescents will experience their custodial parent being unavailable, which makes the adolescent feel
like they have no parental support. Also, they will deal with stress not only from the divorce but from
remarrying. The adolescent who has a relationship with a non parental adult, friends, or an attachment
to school may counterpoise a stressful environment. Researchers found that girls are more likely to
confide in friends about their situation at home. Boys tend to spend time with their friends without
sharing what is on their mind, or spend time by themselves. Building a relationship with others as such
as neighbors will increase the chance of the adolescent not having a negative outcome. Adolescents in
divorced or blended families will be more likely to experience negative outcomes, because of the lack
of parental support (Rodgers Rose, 2002).
Not many individuals are aware of how many adolescents experience divorce or remarriage.

Oral History Interview Dope Accoley
For my Oral History Project, I interviewed Dope Accoley Tossah, my mother, on her nursing career.
During the interview, she had a lot of great things to say. One of the topics she talked about was
having to grow up with her parents in Togo. She stated that both her parent s jobs had to do with
business and her father was a factor in her decision to become a nurse. Since her father was the city s
director of the Red Cross organization, he partially cajoled her into becoming a nurse. This in fact paid
off as she went on to volunteer at Red Cross and studied there until she obtained her certificate. She
even quoted Now I have the desire to do those kinds of jobs. Her quote kind of inspires me to stay

Persuasive Speech On The Headphones For Vacation Trip
Headphones for vacation trip
Good sound on the trip need not cost a fortune. Here are eight kids that cost around a thousand
patches.
At last holiday here! For many of us it means a long car trips south or flight trips to distant shores with
its long waits at airports.
To the dead time should be easier to endure loaded handsets with film, music, and audio books. And as
a fitting pair of headphones that can handle a full day in the back seat, can withstand being knocked
down in your purse or carry on baggage in haste and never run out of battery. (If the journey is by air,
it is usually forbidden to use the Bluetooth headset as radio transmitters could interfere with the
electronics on board.)
In this test, we have watched (and listened) on the headphones that look like they used to do, before
the market exploded and there appeared special ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But everything, including the headband is made of plastic. Even the gilded ear cups and screws in the
brass turns out to be plastic. And the question is how long the headphones survive to be used as hard
as they look. Already during the test began leatherette ear cushions that look a little worn out.
The sound
With this kind of appearance can expect a club sound heavy bass. And it delivers SHX50. The bass is
powerful and relatively deep, and you feel the rhythm in your head clear. The other tonregistren,
however, may find themselves living on the base conditions. The midrange and treble are trapped
subdued. The song Boat on the River is normally full of mandolin and guitar tones. But in SHX50
sounds like Styx playing inside a crowded closet. The sound is unfortunately not very clean.
Conclusion
Philips SHX50 is a pair of headphones to choose their audiences with care. Like the design and the
built in light show so appreciate you certainly also the strong base. However, if you are just looking
for sound quality, it s more of the others that have more to offer for the money.

Personal Statement On Occupational Therapy
Growing up, I have been an individual who has pushed myself beyond the minimum requirements in
order to succeed. In high school I excelled in both academics and athletics. I graduated in the top 10%
of my class and lettered in hockey and tennis my sophomore, junior, and senior year. I worked hard
and put in extra time in order to set myself apart from others. Succeeding in both school and athletics
made me a responsible, reliable, and an organized individual. These experiences made me a versatile
individual and have given me a work ethic that has benefited me with my academics in college and
with my work and volunteer experiences.
Occupational therapy is the career that I have always been interested in because it is a career where I
would be able to use my creativity when providing therapy to patients, work and connect with a
diverse population, and be a leader. From volunteering and shadowing therapists, I have realized that
there is no patient that is the same. Occupational therapists meet with many patients each day and each
therapy session is customized for that specific individual. I like this because as an occupational
therapist, you have to get to know the patient on a personal level and adapt as a professional to a
treatment that will benefit each individual patient. This is a part of the profession that I would enjoy I
would continue to learn everyday and I would be able to connect with people. I would be able to use
my creativity to help individuals get better and

Cryptography Is An Indispensable Tool Of Techniques For...
ABSTRACT
Almost in every field including banking and insurance security and privacy have become the essence.
Many people prefer internet banking because of its convenience. The solution to the security issues
require the use of cryptography in which data is being encrypted and converted to cipher text and then
decrypted to original form on reaching the second party. It is an indispensable tool for secured
communication between two parties in the presence of third party. This article attempts to introduce
the various algorithms which can be successfully used to ensure the security in banks. These
algorithms include Shift algorithm, Polyalphabetic Cipher, Affine Cipher, RSA, DSA etc.

MATHEMATICAL CRYPTOLOGY IN BANKING SECTOR
Cryptography is an indispensable tool of techniques for the secured communication between two
parties in the presence of third party. A cryptographic algorithm is a mathematical function for
encryption or decryption where encryption is the process of translating plain text/ data into a random
and meaningless (cipher text) data and decryption is the process of converting cipher text back into
plain text. In most of the cases, two functions are involved, one for encryption and the other for
decryption. It is basically about constructing and analyzing protocols which prevents public from
reading the private messages. It is mostly based on mathematical theory and computer science practice

Reconstruction Vs Republican Reconstruction Essay
The Civil war came to an end in 1865 after the Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered to the
Union. The Civil War left a huge number of destructions along the way in the North and the South.
The North were required to reconstruct the Confederate States. And that caused the appearance of the
Reconstruction Era in 1865. It was a period in which Americans put the pieces together . People were
split after the Civil War, some wanted to reconstruct the Confederate states where it is politically and
economically damaged and the others wanted to have revenge against the South because they caused
the war that resulted with memories of death and suffer the Americans had to endure. And that was a
reason of the emerging of the Presidential ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They believed in three things, first, they were mad at the South because they had caused the war.
Second, they wanted to punish them. Third, they wanted to help the slaves who are now considered as
freemen after the war ended. the Radical Republicans didn t like Andrew Johnson s plans, which are
almost mirrored his previous president Abraham Lincoln, they felt that he did not pay attention to the
major issue, which was the rights and protection for slaves, and because of that Andrew was
considered weak and was impeached in 1868. Even though he was considered a southerner and should
sympathize with the South except he was considered a racist for ignoring the blacks and consecrating
only about the white men.
The Presidential Reconstruction which was led by Andrew Johnson was considered harsh towards the
South. Johnson believed that African Americans doesn t deserve to vote, he thinks that they can t
manage their own life so they should stay slaves for white men. He believed that black men should
emigrate out of the states. Johnson returned all property to the Confederates who supported the 13th
amendment and pledged loyalty to the North States, but, he didn t return their slaves. Johnson vision
of Reconstruction was considered a fail because African Americans are still treated badly, and Black
Codes were established by white powerful rich men, which was designed to restrict the free

  • 2. Internal and External Factors Within Best Buy Essay example External/Internal Factors External and internal factors come in many forms that can impact a business in different ways. Assessing external and internal factors that an organization may face can be vital to the planning function of management. As with any organization, there are always four functions of management. • 3. Subliminal Messages In The Crucible By Arthur Miller Arthur Miller writes many subliminal messages throughout the play. The most prominent is: a community can be so overcome by hysteria that it neglects logical facts. When first reading the story with no other historical comparisons, the message would be different. However, when other historical events are added into the understanding, the story is a much deeper thought. The Red Scare was an event taking place in 1940/50 s, almost 300 years before there was a similar event called the Salem Witch trials. The Crucible was an allegory for Miller s time. It scared the people because it was too real for them and that is why he was arrested on suspicion of being a communist. In actuality, he is explaining that the human condition has preprogrammed ... • 5. The Dream Of The Rood Essay Salvation Since the start of Christianity, it is said that the way of life is only to seek salvation. In the poem, The Dream of the Rood, it is assumed to have been written in the 8th century, but there is no exact time or authorship. By the 8th century, most of Anglo Saxon England were Christian. This was a time where Roman Catholic Christianity was being shaken to the core by other entities, such as paganism and Islamic invaders. The Dream of the Rood is intended to persuade people into Christianity, salvation and acknowledging the power of God. At the start of the poem, the narrator is having a dream where he is speaking to the cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified. He is astound by the beauty of the gems decorating the cross but also seems to be alarmed by the drops of blood that are smeared on the gems and on the side of the cross. There is an indication of the narrator s struggle; his struggle of faith. The author indicates the following quote to plant the idea of a man in distress due to his crippling faith: This was surely no felon s gallows, for holy spirits beheld it, men upon earth, and all this glorious creation. Wonderful was the triumphant tree, and I stained with sin, wounded with wrongdoing. • 6. Backpressure Based Adaptive Routing and Scheduling In... Under high traffic conditions, this works very well, and backpressure is able to fully utilize the available network resources in a highly dynamic fashion. Under low traffic conditions, however, because many other nodes may also have a small or 0 queue size, there is inefficiency in terms of an increase in delay, as packets may loop or take a long time to make their way to the destination. This is particularly of concern in intermittent encounter based mobile networks which are already delay limited due to the sparse and highly dynamic network connectivity. Such networks have proposed the use of redundant transmissions to improve delay, which do not work well when the traffic load is high. Routing protocol, such as Spray and Wait, that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The additional transmissions incurred by BWAR due to the duplicates utilize available slots which would otherwise go idle, in order to reduce the delay. Particularly for networks that are not energy limited, this offers a more efficient way to utilize the available bandwidth during low load conditions. In order to minimize the storage resource utilization of duplicate packets, ideally, these duplicate packets should be removed from the network whenever a copy is delivered to the destination. Since this may be difficult to implement (except in some kinds of networks with a separate control plane), we also propose and evaluate a practical timeout mechanism for automatic duplicate removal. Under high load conditions, because queues are rarely empty, duplicates are rarely created, and BWAR effectively reverts to traditional backpressure and inherits its throughput optimality property. By design, BWAR is highly robust and distributed and does not require prior knowledge of locations, mobility patterns, and load conditions. The duplicate queues are maintained and utilized as follows: Original packets when transmitted are removed from the main queue; however, if the queue size is lower than a certain threshold qth, then the transmitted packet is duplicated and kept in the duplicate buffer associated with its destination if it is not full (otherwise no duplicate is created). Duplicate packets are not removed from the duplicate buffer when transmitted. They ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. We Use A Gaussian Function As A Kernel Function In order to specify the middle layer of an RBF we have to decide the number of neurons of the layer and their kernel functions which are usually Gaussian functions. In this paper we use a Gaussian function as a kernel function. A Gaussian function is specified by its center and width. The simplest and most general method to decide the middle layer neurons is to create a neuron for each training pattern. However the method is usually not practical since in most applications there are a large number of training patterns and the dimension of the input space is fairly large. Therefore it is usual and practical to first cluster the training patterns to a reasonable number of groups by using a clustering algorithm such as K means or SOFM and then to assign a neuron to each cluster. A simple way, though not always effective, is to choose a relatively small number of patterns randomly among the training patterns and create only that many neurons. A clustering algorithm is a kind of an unsupervised learning algorithm and is used when the class of each training pattern is not known. But an RBFN is a supervised learning network. And we know at least the class of each training pattern. So we d better take advantage of the information of these class memberships when we cluster the training patterns. Namely we cluster the training patterns class by class instead of the entire patterns at the same time (Moody and Darken, 1989; Musavi et al., 1992). In this way we can reduce at least the ... One of the rare mentions of Dagny s gender in her work is found on page 771, where Bertram Scudder introduces Dagny on his talk show with, the last descendant of an illustrious name in our industrial history, the woman executive possible only in America. This comment is brief, and appears harmless, but there is a deeper significance within it. Scudder uses the words, only possible in America, to attribute Dagny s success to her circumstance, detaching it from her own effort. The Path to Plan Adoption at Engstrom Bent has similarly strong feelings about group incentive plans: If you are going to change your operations or institute a new technology, product, or manufacturing line, the process to get that installed and operational is much longer under an individual or a group incentive plan. A Scanlon Plan, Bent thought, was the best for Engstrom, given the challenges that the plant faced: With Scanlon, workers are receptive to new methods and new machinery because they feel they are a part of the company wide program. • 23. How Bill Has Breached The Duty With this, the existence of a duty of care has been proven and is now time to see if it has been breached. It is up to Arthur to show Bill has breached the duty . To do so he will need to prove a reasonable man would have not acted in the same way. The test is objective in a sense that Bill s skill would not be considered in favour of those of a man who is presumed to be free both from over apprehension and from over confidence . Bill ignored a warning saying no HGVs should be crossing the bridge, it can be argued that no reasonable person would do this. Moreover, seeing as Bill is a professional, the case of Maynard could be used to further support Arthur s claim. In this case, it was held that it should also be shown no professional would agree with the conduct of the defendant. In other words, would another policeman agree on letting an HGV pass in such weather? The answer to this would arguably be no. Having proven there is a duty of care and it has been breached, the next step would be to show the breach was what caused damages. Causation has 2 main elements legal and factual. In order to establish legal causation, one must use the but for test. In our case, the test would look something like, But for Bill s negligence, would Arthur s accident have occurred. This test only questions the facts of the case and is relatively straight forward. Thus, ignoring everything else, no, Arthur would not have been in an accident if he had not been on the bridge, which Bill ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 24. Louis Armstrong Concert Analysis Watching Louis Armstrong s live performance in Berlin during the year 1965 was a pleasure, especially because I am a great fan of his music. Throughout the concert in Berlin, Armstrong and his chamber orchestra played 13 different pieces. With the exception of Jewel Woods entrance on vocals for two songs, the makeup of the chamber orchestra did not change throughout the concert. As a result, the cello, clarinet, drums, piano, trombone, and trumpet remained vital parts of each song throughout the concert. Armstrong and his All Stars quickly began their first song, Sleepy Time Down South, before formally introducing themselves. This song allowed the audience to prepare for the concert as the tempo was consistently adagio. The song also gave each instrument in the chamber orchestra the opportunity to each warm up with a song that was completely dolce and legato in fashion. Next, the chamber orchestra quickly transitioned to a vivace song that was performed con fuoco and was named Indiana. In this song, every instrument was given an uptempo solo to showcase the performer s immense talent. The dynamic throughout was forte in fashion and did not vary from beginning to end. After Indiana was performed, the chamber orchestra transitioned to a more dolce and pesante Black and Blue. Throughout this song, each performer played softly, keeping the dynamic at a piano level until Armstrong s trumpet began to raise the dynamic to a more mezzo piano level. The song s ... • 25. A Clockwork Orange Dialectical Journal Essay A Clockwork Orange Journal 1: pages 3 56 I found the first section of the novel, A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess to be confusing, but at the same time interesting. Burgess ideas were organized and thorough in each chapter. The use of foreshadowing was used at the end of the first chapter implying violent acts throughout the rest of the section. The constant use of slang called, Nadsat threw off my focus while reading due to the distraction of flipping back and forth from the glossary back to the novel. Burgess uses the slang to alienate what is occurring in the novel, especially the brutality of it. I noticed that even though horrendous events are described I did not stop reading because the use of slang kept me interested like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 26. Blended Family Relationships stepfamilies may sometimes have lack of parental warmth and negative interactions, which leads to disruptiveness and/or antisocial behaviors. It takes time for the adolescent to adjust to the loss of a parent in a household. Adolescents will experience their custodial parent being unavailable, which makes the adolescent feel like they have no parental support. Also, they will deal with stress not only from the divorce but from remarrying. The adolescent who has a relationship with a non parental adult, friends, or an attachment to school may counterpoise a stressful environment. Researchers found that girls are more likely to confide in friends about their situation at home. Boys tend to spend time with their friends without sharing what is on their mind, or spend time by themselves. Building a relationship with others as such as neighbors will increase the chance of the adolescent not having a negative outcome. Adolescents in divorced or blended families will be more likely to experience negative outcomes, because of the lack of parental support (Rodgers Rose, 2002). During the interview, she had a lot of great things to say. One of the topics she talked about was having to grow up with her parents in Togo. She stated that both her parent s jobs had to do with business and her father was a factor in her decision to become a nurse. Since her father was the city s director of the Red Cross organization, he partially cajoled her into becoming a nurse. This in fact paid off as she went on to volunteer at Red Cross and studied there until she obtained her certificate. She even quoted Now I have the desire to do those kinds of jobs. • 28. Persuasive Speech On The Headphones For Vacation Trip Headphones for vacation trip Good sound on the trip need not cost a fortune. Here are eight kids that cost around a thousand patches. At last holiday here! For many of us it means a long car trips south or flight trips to distant shores with its long waits at airports. To the dead time should be easier to endure loaded handsets with film, music, and audio books. And as a fitting pair of headphones that can handle a full day in the back seat, can withstand being knocked down in your purse or carry on baggage in haste and never run out of battery. (If the journey is by air, it is usually forbidden to use the Bluetooth headset as radio transmitters could interfere with the electronics on board.) The sound With this kind of appearance can expect a club sound heavy bass. And it delivers SHX50. The bass is powerful and relatively deep, and you feel the rhythm in your head clear. The other tonregistren, however, may find themselves living on the base conditions. The midrange and treble are trapped subdued. The song Boat on the River is normally full of mandolin and guitar tones. But in SHX50 sounds like Styx playing inside a crowded closet. The sound is unfortunately not very clean. Conclusion Philips SHX50 is a pair of headphones to choose their audiences with care. Like the design and the built in light show so appreciate you certainly also the strong base. • 29. Personal Statement On Occupational Therapy Growing up, I have been an individual who has pushed myself beyond the minimum requirements in order to succeed. In high school I excelled in both academics and athletics. I graduated in the top 10% of my class and lettered in hockey and tennis my sophomore, junior, and senior year. I worked hard and put in extra time in order to set myself apart from others. Succeeding in both school and athletics made me a responsible, reliable, and an organized individual. These experiences made me a versatile individual and have given me a work ethic that has benefited me with my academics in college and with my work and volunteer experiences. Occupational therapy is the career that I have always been interested in because it is a career where I would be able to use my creativity when providing therapy to patients, work and connect with a diverse population, and be a leader. From volunteering and shadowing therapists, I have realized that there is no patient that is the same. Occupational therapists meet with many patients each day and each therapy session is customized for that specific individual. I like this because as an occupational therapist, you have to get to know the patient on a personal level and adapt as a professional to a treatment that will benefit each individual patient. This is a part of the profession that I would enjoy I would continue to learn everyday and I would be able to connect with people. I would be able to use my creativity to help individuals get better and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Many people prefer internet banking because of its convenience. The solution to the security issues require the use of cryptography in which data is being encrypted and converted to cipher text and then decrypted to original form on reaching the second party. It is an indispensable tool for secured communication between two parties in the presence of third party. This article attempts to introduce the various algorithms which can be successfully used to ensure the security in banks. These algorithms include Shift algorithm, Polyalphabetic Cipher, Affine Cipher, RSA, DSA etc. Keywords: cryptology, banking, security MATHEMATICAL CRYPTOLOGY IN BANKING SECTOR Cryptography is an indispensable tool of techniques for the secured communication between two parties in the presence of third party. A cryptographic algorithm is a mathematical function for encryption or decryption where encryption is the process of translating plain text/ data into a random and meaningless (cipher text) data and decryption is the process of converting cipher text back into plain text. In most of the cases, two functions are involved, one for encryption and the other for decryption. It is basically about constructing and analyzing protocols which prevents public from reading the private messages. It is mostly based on mathematical theory and computer science practice .In the ... The Civil War left a huge number of destructions along the way in the North and the South. The North were required to reconstruct the Confederate States. And that caused the appearance of the Reconstruction Era in 1865. It was a period in which Americans put the pieces together . People were split after the Civil War, some wanted to reconstruct the Confederate states where it is politically and economically damaged and the others wanted to have revenge against the South because they caused the war that resulted with memories of death and suffer the Americans had to endure. And that was a reason of the emerging of the Presidential ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Third, they wanted to help the slaves who are now considered as freemen after the war ended. the Radical Republicans didn t like Andrew Johnson s plans, which are almost mirrored his previous president Abraham Lincoln, they felt that he did not pay attention to the major issue, which was the rights and protection for slaves, and because of that Andrew was considered weak and was impeached in 1868. Even though he was considered a southerner and should sympathize with the South except he was considered a racist for ignoring the blacks and consecrating only about the white men. The Presidential Reconstruction which was led by Andrew Johnson was considered harsh towards the South. Johnson believed that African Americans doesn t deserve to vote, he thinks that they can t manage their own life so they should stay slaves for white men. He believed that black men should emigrate out of the states. Johnson returned all property to the Confederates who supported the 13th amendment and pledged loyalty to the North States, but, he didn t return their slaves.
