Toula Body Language Study
To build a rapport with Toula I would introduce myself and identify any of the first impression
interest. Letting Toula know the confidentiality code of conduct, what it means to her and what my
role is .I would also let Toula know that she is welcome to ask questions at any time she needs to .I
would encourage Toula to open up by validating her feelings and experiences .Building a positive
relationship by identifying any of the possible barriers that may affect her communication and using
the body language technique will allow Toula to feel more comfortable and relaxed. By using the
technique of paraphrasing it will allow Toula to hear what she has said and know that you are
interested in what she is sharing with you.
When beginning to assess Toula it is important to assess which developmental stage she is at, this will
help by giving me insight on the tasks and issues she may be dealing with, it will also determine the
language and communication styles I will use. By adopting a sensitive cultural approach it will allow

Lowell Bergman s 60 Minutes Essay
In February of 1994, Wigand worked with Lowell Bergman on a 60 Minutes segment on the Philip
Morris fire safe cigarette. Bergman had been given internal documents anonymously and recruited
Wigand to interpret information. The story aired on March 27, 1994. In March of 1995, Bergman
proposes an expose on Brown and Williamson. After approval, Wigand begins working with Bergman
in Louisville, KY. In August of 1995, Wigand agrees to an interview with 60 Minutes and is reassured
it will not air without his permission. In October of 1995, The Wall Street Journal released a story
featuring Brown Williamson s internal reports revealing how added ammonia based compounds are
used to enhance nicotine uptake in users. The added chemicals make the nicotine more potent when
inhaled. Wigand assisted with this article but was not named in the article (2). ... Show more content

company to ruin Wigand s credibility (1). Wigand describes the dark side of whistleblowing in a
Vanity Fair interview in 1996 as fear, threats, loss, ostracization (3). He was intimidated by the private
investigation firm, his children received death threats, he lost his job, co workers turned against him,
and his wife eventually left him as well (3). As he said to Lowell Bergman after the interview, I just

Russia After The End Of World War I And The Russian Civil War
After the end of World War 1 and the Russian Civil War, Russia was suffering major setbacks,
especially economically. The Soviet Union was receiving threats from western countries which
increased a need for faster industrialization. Vladimir Lenin, created a plan called the New Economic
Policy, which was a plan to help rebuild the Russian economy, focusing more agrigculturally rather
than industrially, over a longer period of time. After Lenin died, Joseph Stalin rose to power and
created a demand on faster industrialization. In 1928, Joseph Stalin created a plan that would change
Russian industrialization for the better. This plan was called the Five Year Plan. The plan focused on
new developments on steel, machine tools, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Time, Forward!, it talks about a Shock Brigade in Magnitogorsk, Russia who competes with
another plant to break the world record for pouring concrete the fastest. This paper argues how Kataev
s Time, Forward is an example of how the Soviet Union speeds up time using Stalin s Five Year Plan
and the grueling stipulations that came along with this plan to increase forward industrialization to an
emerging USSR. After finding out about the world record set at a different plant for the fastest
concrete poured, the engineer in charge of construction, David Margulies and many of the other
workers immediately want to beat the record. Margulies plans everything out and finds out that it is
very possible to beat the record and the crew gets to work. While these men are trying to beat the
record, they work in terrible working conditions and their lives are oftern put into danger. They are
trying to beat this record in 24 hours with little to no sleep to begin with. It also talks about a strong
storm passing through and they continue to work through that, despite the strong wind and the hard
rain. Due to the storm one of the workers smashes his hand in railcar doors. Smetana stood on the
railroad track between the two couplings that had been knocked together. The canvas glove dangled
from his left arm like a rag. (273). This shows that despite harsh working conditions many factory
workers faced, they worked through it anyway so that Stalin s Five Year Plan could

The Strength Of Rawls Social Contract Theory
The strength of Rawls Social Contract Theory is most obvious when compared with other ethical
theories. In my discussion with Professor Hill, it was made apparent to me that I should focus on the
main concepts we have discussed in this unit: empathy, rationality, and fallibility. One theory that is
easily comparable is Ethical Egoism. Ethical Egoism claims that every action committed by human
beings must be out of self interest. Anything done for another individual is considered unethical for an
egoist (Hill, Egoism, slide 2). The flaw with this ethical theory can be best explained using a modus
ponens valid argument type: If A, then B: If a theory lacks empathy, then it is not the correct ethical
theory. A: Ethical Egoism lacks empathy. Therefore, B: Therefore, Ethical Egoism is not the correct
ethical theory. With Ethical Egoism, the interests of others are not taken into account. Empathy is an
essential part of any ethical theory because the outcome of an event usually involves more than one
individual. If one lacks the ability to put themselves into the perspective of another individual, then
they should not be making any decision regarding that individual because it could harm them. While
Rawls Social Contract Theory is based on some degree of self interest, this self interest is converted
into a form that benefits everyone. Therefore, self sacrificing may take place in order to appease the
emotions of others so as to keep the balance and avoid chaos. In one of

Equal Pay Day Research Paper
Equal Pay Day this year is Tuesday, April 12, 2016. The National Committee on Pay Equity started
this day to act as a constant reminder of how women are still victims of wage inequality. It is very
important to remember how women are still discriminated against, and how the pay gap hasn t been
getting better. Equal Pay Day is always on a Tuesday because it represents, how far into the next work
week women must work to earn what men earned the previous week (pay equity.org). Many women
who work the same hours as men are paid less, and are forced to work longer hours to have a
substantial income. In 2010, women were making only 77 cents on average for every dollar men
made, and the wage gap is even more severe for women of color. The past

The Flights Of Fancy And The Freedom Of Speech Essay
In the hypothetical Flights of Fancy and the Freedom of Speech, Jeremy is a 16 year old video game
addict who is suspended after posting some fanfiction on facebook which involves characters from his
favorite video game, Space Traveler XVIII, plotting to kill one of the characters, Waroomba. The
characters are unable to kill Waroombra, however, because he has a copy of the United States
Constitution. After the attempted murder, Waroombra grabs an assault rifle and says that he will bring
it everywhere with him including the beach, gym, and school. The next day, another student reported
the post to the principle, Principle Underwood, and Jeremy is suspended. After being suspended,
Jeremy and his family are upset claiming that the school suspension violated Jeremy s first
amendment privileges. The question for this hypothetical is: Did Principal Underwood violate Jeremy
s first amendment rights when she suspended him from school for his Facebook posting which, among
other things, included a character s reference to bringing an assault rifle to school? In the past, the
Rule of Law for the First Amendment was that American citizens had the right not to speak (West

Edward Taylor Prologue Poem Analysis
In Edward Taylor s Prologue he seeks to demonstrate the inferiority of man in respect to God s glory.
Taylor begins his piece by creating a metaphor in which his own subsidiarity to God is described in
terms of physical stature and uniqueness. He then purposefully includes phrases with erroneous meter
and imperfect rhymes to demonstrate that his inferiority extends to his abilities as a writer. Taylor
further attempts to establish his lack of authorial skills by including repetitious words, implying that
he lacks an extensive vocabulary. When combined these tactics serve to support the idea that Edward
Taylor has many shortcomings, both as a human and a poet, especially in comparison to the greatness
of God. Taylor begins demonstrating his meagerness by describing the vast inequity between physical
standing of God and man by employing a metaphor. In this metaphor, Taylor is but a mere Crumb of
Dust in comparison to the glory of God s creation (line 1). This contrast firstly demonstrates Taylor s
inadequacy when examined from a physical perspective; Taylor is but the smallest piece of dust, while
God s glory is, comparatively, almost endless in size and scope. God being larger than Edward Taylor
serves to suggest that God is thus innately superior to Taylor, as greater size implies superiority over
those with smaller builds. Therefore, Taylor is not simply seeking to suggest that God is physically
larger than himself, but instead aiming to use their difference in bodily

Counterculture In The 1960s
1967 was a year focused around counterculture as a revolutionary new movement captured the nation
s attention. This phenomenon, whose members were called hippies, originated with America s youth,
though it quickly spread to other nations. Hippies advocated personal freedom and expression and
hoped to create a society full of peace, harmony, and love. As hippies challenged traditional societal
values in an attempt to find inner peace, many members began to experiment with a variety of
mediums, including illegal drugs, such a marijuana and LSD; bold fashion, such as tie dyed shirts,
long hair, and love beads; and sexual freedom. Following a philosophy of do your own thing , many
hippies also rejected conventional home life and chose to live ... Show more content on

The year began with a bad start when Vietcong soldiers attacked several South Vietnam cities in a

had won the battle, it further crushed the moral of Americans, who had repeatedly been told that the
Vietcong were close to defeat. However, this surprise attack proved that the Vietcong were still strong
and that the government had been deceiving the public. This incident changed the opinions of millions
of Americans and support for the Vietnam War was at an all time low. However, events occurring
overseas was the not the only source of darkness during this explosive year. America also suffered
from the assassination of two prominent public figures during 1968; Robert Kennedy and Martin
Luther King Jr. The assassination of Robert Kennedy, who was the brother of JFK and running for
president, shook the nation and weakened the Democratic Party. However, it was the assassination of
Martin Luther King Jr. that truly threw the nation into chaos. After he was killed, riots broke out
across the country as his followers burned buildings and destroyed property. The 1968 presidential
election brought further protests as thousands of anti war protesters, frustrated with the government s

Triton s Role In The Novel Reef By Romesh Gunesekera
Introduction
Romesh Gunesekera; the author of the novel Reef (1994), begins the story with a young boy by the
name of Triton, entering Mr Salgado s household as a Kolla , meaning boy, and starting to become
weary of himself and his own capabilities. Throughout the novel, Triton faces certain hardships, but
quickly learns to overcome them as he begins to develop a sense of responsibility and independence
within the household. Mr Salgado becomes the centre of Triton s world and he is someone that Triton
looks up to and wants to become. However, everything changes when Miss Nili becomes the central
aspect of Mr Salgado s life and changes the relationships within the household, allowing Triton to see
things from a new perspective. Throughout the novel we see how Triton plays the role of an Outsider
as well as Insider within the home and how he starts becoming very observant with regards to Miss
Nili. In this essay I will discuss how Triton s role in Mister Salgado s household alters and becomes a
turning point in the novel.

the person that he is now. At a later stage in the novel, Triton even suggests that they should open up a

Salgado. Therefore he would rather be a servant in Mr Salgado s household all over again than be an
empowered restaurant owner without Mr Salgado in his

Yoga And The Yoga Community
Yoga, being one of the most effective self help approaches to life and living, invites me to help ensure
that it is being integrated with maximum wisdom related to breathing. This page is about supporting
and educating the Yoga community in its quest for superior knowledge and effectiveness about proper
breathing. It is our responsibility to alert everyone about this as there are probably millions of students
and teachers with an unclear or distorted idea of healthy breathing.
Nowadays, you can take weekend courses and call yourself a teacher. Many teachers are then first to
defend their breathing development proficiency but alas, last to prove it. One needs to experience
good breathing to teach it.
From a Breathing Times subscriber:
Breath is the unifying principal of the three systems mechanics, metabolism and mentality. It is the
psychopharmacological link between conscious and unconscious states. Each of the three mechanical
aspects of breath has specific neurotransmission function. Any technique(s) that emphasize(s) one
aspect of the mechanism exclusively will shift neurometabolism accordingly. Yoga practices are
designed for this purpose, stimulating a specific aspect or relationship of aspects. I realize that
contemporary yogis don t always explain it this way,and I think that also leads to misuse and abuse.
Right knowledge is yoga or union. That union is from bringing together all aspects, and applying
iscernment.

Proposal For Implementing A Formal Mentoring Program Essay
MEMORANDUM
TO: Donald Lower, Partner; Barry Anderson, Partner; John Huber, Partner; Todd Whitlow, Partner
FROM: Brooke Vondal, Administrative Officer
DATE:
September 18, 2016
SUBJECT: Proposal to Implement a Formal Mentoring Program
Attached is the proposal to implement a mentoring program at Anderson, Lower, Whitlow P.C. In
early summer, ALW hired fifteen recently graduated individuals and 12 have already taken positions at
other firms. There needs to be a system in place to develop and foster relationships for these
individuals within the firm. This firm has a high turnover rate of new hires; currently, the turnover rate
is 85%. Firms that are considered the Big Four are offering mentoring programs that make their
employees invested in the company s future. Unfortunately, if ALW does not start to compete with this
issue, more employees will be lost to the Big Four Firms.
Implementing a strong mentoring program that fosters individual and personal growth within the
company is vital for the future of this firm. This includes setting up and maintaining a mentoring
program. The mentoring program will be set up with individuals from all levels of achievement, that
are willing to devote a portion of their time to the firm s prosperity.
Investing in the future of this firm, through a formal mentoring program is a vital step. I look forward
to working with you throughout this process. I can be reached at bvondal@alwpc.com or 456 789

Abstract
Hyperthermia is a cancer treatment wherein the cancerous cells are killed by electromagnetic heating
of malignant tumor tissue. This study is focused on the effect of using a 432 MHz antenna heating
source for hyperthermia treatment of tissue. Temperatures of 42 °C to 46 °C are required to kill the
cancer cells while the healthy tissue is unaffected. The Pennes Bio Heat Equation is used to obtain a
numerical solution of the tissue temperature profile. A 1 D analytical solution required to make quick
calculation is derived and compared with the 2 D numerical solution solved by Finite Difference
Method (FDM). Also, the effect of variable tissue properties in the tissue region of tumor and healthy
tissue is determined and the effect of a large blood vessel is also determined.
INTRODUCTION
Cancer is a malignant disease that can cause death if not treated on time. Hyperthermia is a treatment
in which Electromagnetic (EM) waves are used to heat up the tissue containing the tumor for
therapeutic purposes. The cancerous cells are killed if they are heated in the range of 42 °C to 46 °C

Leadership Is Important When Conducting A Organization,...
Leadership is important when conducting a organization, program, or event. There are many changes
in educational organizations. The article talks about how educational organizations can adjust to
change and what it takes to implement change. Change is always good especially with the changes of
time. Technology is way more advance in the millieum era then it was in the 1990 s so changing
educational organizations should arrange with the advancement of the era. Educational organizations
that are behind with advancement could possibly fail and not succeed with a lack of participants.
According to Martincic They are incited by a number of factors: technological advancement, changed
expectations and needs of the clients, change market conditions, changing of legistration, changed
social values etc. (p.g 1). The article also goes into detail about being able to come together and take
intination in developing a plan to create change.
When individuals want to implement change they have to develop not only a plan but also have
resources and a committee or team. Therefore more then one idea or suggestion will make the plan
worthwhile of pursuing. Individuals who would want change also have to reach out to stakeholders
and politicians. Politicans are on the forefront of reaching a lot of people. As said by Martincic (2015),
Much more interesting for the long term efficiency of an organization is the change that orginates

The Crooked Line Essay
Ismat Chughtai s The Crooked Line reads like a classic Bildungsroman in many ways. It is the story of
a child born in an environment which is fairly hostile who grows up and is able to move away from
this hostile environment on a journey of self discovery. This basic structure is, however, where the
similarity ends. A Bildungsroman is a novel of development of the central protagonist from birth to a
position of stability within the social sphere. This normative form functions as a basis for Ismat
Chughtai s novel The Crooked Line but instead of being the pattern followed, it is the path not taken.
The normative Bildungsroman is that against which this novel rebels and tells the story of a
protagonist who follows a trajectory which is individualistic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

As it avows to depict reality and change is a fundamental feature of reality, it is imperative that the
realist novel changes constantly as well. This implies that the structural foundation of a
Bildungsroman would also have to be modified in order to make it contemporary and also realist. The
nature of this change, especially in the European context is obvious in terms of the transformation of
the novel from depicting stability into a genre which hinges on the inherent instability of a society. In
his essay on this topic, Franco Moretti in his introduction to The Way of the World argues that the new
novel is the transformative novel. In this, he uses the model of the novel of adultery in which the
growth of a character is located in the sphere of adultery and thereby is essentially an unstable
stability. This instability forms the foundation of the novel form in one more significant aspect; one
which is critical for Chughtai s Shaman as well. Youth is important for the central protagonist because
it is the site of potential which is hitherto untapped. This potential encapsulates the heroic potential of
the protagonist and manifests itself in the larger system of causality in the text. The trajectory which
the central protagonist will choose to follow is begun in a young age. The decisions of the character
work as milestones against which one may measure the success or the degree of closure provided by
the ending. However, as Moretti further elaborates, this Bildungsroman encapsulates within it another
paradox; the individual s growth cannot be parallel to societal growth as the social sphere exists in
order to suppress the individual. This implies that any authentic Bildungsroman hinges on the
discovery of a stable and viable alternative. That the protagonist will in some way find a balance
between the self and the world and therefore s/he will be able to develop personally as well as socially.

I have been an avid golfer, ever since I was five years old. I aspired to be like the profession ladies I
would watch golf on TV. Before my eight grade year, I thought it would be a good idea to attend an
LPGA event. At this age, it would be perfect, because I am young enough that I can get into these
tournament for free with an adult, and I am old enough that I would know what to watch for when I
am there. The only problem was, I had to pick a tournament that I could possibly be able to play in
one day. For most tournaments, there are certain requirements you have to meet to play in. Also, all of
the LPGA events were not close to Nebraska, they are all either on the coasts of the U.S. or in another
country.
The only tournament ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For professionals, that already have their tour card, they can enter into this tournament, along with
either being on the top 20 in tournament winnings, top 50 on the money list/Rolex Rankings, or again
have a sponsorship. So, in my dreams I could possibly qualify and participate in this tournament one
day.
There are around 160 players that qualify for this tournament and play on Thursday and Friday, but to
play for the weekend, they have to make the cut. To make the cut, the players have to shoot four over
par, which makes for high competition to make the cut. This would leave around 70 ladies that would
make the cut that get to play the rest of the weekend.
A few days before my dad and I leave for the tournament, I mentally prepare myself to know what I m
going to look for while I m there, so I can hopefully apply what I see to improve my game. This would
be a great learning experience for me. To watch the professionals and evaluate their swings,
alignment, etc. to apply to my golf game. So, when I start getting serious about golfing and enter high
school or enter into summer tournaments, I can be ahead of the game. Also, to know what kind of
competition I will have to deal with if I ever enter into this tournament.
So, my dad and I get to our hotel Wednesday night. We settle in before the next day to go to the
tournament. Thursday morning, we wake up bright

Neonatal Nurse Research Paper
Neonatal Nurse I want to be a neonatal nurse who takes care of newborn infants who were born
prematurely. There are some procedures that may be needed for the care of the baby. What I know
about a neonatal nurse is that you need to have a four year bachelors and masters of science in nursing
degree. The reason I m interested in this career is because I want to save lives and make a difference
in the lives of the infants and their families. This career is something I will enjoy doing even if it can
be sad at times. The information I found out about a neonatal nurse was that their duties include
administering medications, monitoring vital signs and providing vital nutrients to newborns. Most
premature and sick newborns have lungs that aren t fully developed, the neonatal nurse must ensure
that infants are breathing and maturing properly. They provide complete care for babies, such as attend
deliveries, weigh and measure infants, bathe them and monitor their health. They also teach new
parents about newborn care and breastfeeding. Hospital work requires nurses to be composed, caring
and in control every second of their shift. Although neonatal nurses witness the miracle of birth every
day, they also view untimely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Premature babies typically have underdeveloped respiratory systems and problems maintaining body
heat, so they may be kept on a respirator or in an incubator. Although the neonatal period is the first
month after birth, these nurses often care for children up to age 2 who have long term medical issues.
While their primary focus is the health of the babies, neonatal nurses obviously will spend a lot of
time with anxious parents who are visiting their children in the NICU and must be able to calmly and
clearly explain the babies illnesses and treatment, as well as involve the parents in their

Biodiesel Fuel
Biodiesel Fuel
The biggest problem the United States faces today when we talk about becoming energy independent
is replacing the gas we use to power our vehicles. When we talk about replacing gasoline as the fuel
we use to power our vehicles, biomass, hydrogen, and fuel cells are the three most talked about
alternatives. Biomass, which is organic material made from plants and animals, contains stored energy
from the sun. Biomass in the form of bio fuels can be used to make the same products as those we
make from fossil fuels. Its main advantages over fossil fuels are that bio fuels are better for the
environment and can be produced right here in the United States. Although some experts complain
that bio fuels release carbon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are very efficient when compared to the combustion engine at twice the efficiency. Fuel cells
also emit no pollution into the atmosphere with co2 and water vapor being it s only by products. They
also come with their disadvantages as well. The main disadvantage of fuel cells is their high initial
costs. Also they must use another fuel source with hydrogen being the most practical to work and we
have already discussed above the problems with hydrogen. In the future experts hope to use methanol
instead of hydrogen to combine with oxygen which is readily available in the air to power fuel cells.
This would be a major breakthrough since methanol is just as easy to transport and distribute as
gasoline. There is no magic bullet solution in getting rid of gasoline as the fuel we use to power our
vehicles just like there is no magic bullet solution for the replacement of oil, natural gas, and nuclear
energy that we use to produce electricity. The one thing our government can do right now to reduce
the amount of gasoline we use is to pass legislation doubling the fuel efficiency of our vehicles which
would cut in half the amount of gasoline we would consume. However with the powerful oil lobby
that has a hold over our politicians this will probably never happen. Although oil is still the easiest and
least expensive way to fuel our economy when compared to all the clean and

Percutaneous Medical Image And Ultrasound Image
1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Objectives
It has been proved that ultrasound imaging is the main and primary device that is used as guidance for
percutaneous medical procedures (Gray 2006). However, poor needle tip localization needs to be
solved. Also, localize the needle tip in deep locations (`Cheung Rohling 2004) and slope insertion
angles (Edgombe Hocking 2010). Enhancing the needle visibility will lead to decrease procedures
failure.
Mohammad mentioned that in his studies in 2013, an ultrasound actuated needle with a transducer can
be visualized under ultrasound colour Doppler mode, which also, can reduce the force during needle
penetration process. However, the validity of the actuating needle in this study needs to be proved.

A needle insertion techniques with ultrasound are described in detail in Section
2.3. A biopsy and nervous system are mentioned in section 2.4. And 2.5. 2.6 And 2.7 sections are
talking about the ultrasound and Doppler imaging with needle localization. A Needle phantom and its
types are illustrated in section 2.9. Finally, an ultrasound actuated needle device piezoelectric, and its
components are presented in Section 2.10.
2.1 Background
There are many clinical practices which involve skin percutaneous diagnosis and therapies. A thin tool
such needle, catheter, tissue ablation probe etc, is inserted into a tissue to reach a target (Abolhassani
et al., 2006). Take a biopsy from (breast, kidney, and liver), nerve block, drug delivery and blood
sampling, are some applications of percutaneous needle procedures (Bishoff et al. 1998). The accuracy
of needle insertion determines the efficiency of a percutaneous diagnosis or therapy (Youk et al.,
2007). According to Abolhassani et al., (2006), the type of application or procedure determines the
required accuracy of the procedures. For example, biopsy, anaesthesia, and brachytherapy, are
required accuracy of millimetres while in other producers such as eye, brain, ear, and foetus are
required much higher accuracy in nanometres. According to Kohn et al., (2000), the target could be in
the millimetre neighbourhood of another organ, nerve or vessel. Hence, needle insertion producers

ERP Paper
Introduction
The research will be based on ERP systems Web Distributed Business Solutions. This report will
discuss the concept, architecture, process and application of the system solution. There will also be
examples given on how industrial businesses implement this technology into their daily operations and
how it has benefitted them.
Concept
ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning. ERP is one complete system to rationalise processes
and data across the whole organisation, so business decisions can be data driven. The perception of
ERP is a joint database that supports numerous purposes used by different business elements which in
practice this means that staffs in different departments for example, accounting and sales can ... Show

however, Legacy ERP vendors are starting to use cloud based services to perform some functions of
ERP, mainly those who depend on by mobile users. Cloud based ERP modules are built to be loosely
joined, which can reduce the cost and difficulty of a Deployment. Currently some businesses are using
hybrid cloud deployments in which part of the ERP software suite runs on premises and the other part
runs on the cloud. The advantage of using SaaS ERP is that the system could start running, automatic
upgrades and as well as reduction in hardware and support expenses. (SearchERP, 2017) (CompuData,
2017)
The most common ERP deployment used is either on premises or cloud based, which is a standard
huge system from one vendor, generally a large legacy vendor. Though there are many organisations
now that run multiple ERP systems under one environment, generally known as the two tier or multi
tier ERP. The reason behind is that it includes geographic variances in the organisation. (SearchERP,
2017)
ERP has few software deployments modules that are used within an organisation which can be
integrated easily with other systems that the organisation uses. Below is the detailed list of core
modules that are in many ERP software s.

Google s Legal And Ethical Controversy
Defining Google s Legal and Ethical Controversy
Just Google it a saying that has become an integral part of everyday vocabulary. The worlds most
popular search engine can provide people, worldwide with access to information that otherwise would
not be available. Whether you re looking to find pictures of the Holi celebration in India or find a local
NYC eatery where you can have brunch, with just a click of a button, Google always has an answer.
Despite the greatness that Google has brought to the world, on April 15, 2015 the European Union
filed an Antitrust lawsuit against Google. The European Commission addresses four main areas of
concern in Google s operation: potential bias in Google s search results, scraping content from rival
websites, agreements with advertisers that may exclude rival search advertising services and contracts
that limit marketers from using other platforms . I feel that Google has the legal right to favor its own
search results over its competitors and that it is ethical for Google to use its dominance of the search
engine market to its advantage.
Situation Analysis
Google is a technology company operating on a global level. It employs 32,000 employees and
generates annual revenues of about $38 billion .
Google first came underfire for unfair competition concerns in the U.S. during 20132. Before the FTC
conducted a through investigation, Google pledged to alter its business practices. Google s agreement

I believe that all people are meant to do something special and that everyone has a talent or a knack
for something where they can be extraordinary. The key is to find it and embrace it. Its a sad thing to
see so many people muddle through their lives just living to work, putting in their time and doing just
enough to get by and making just enough to survive. So many people go through life and never find
that one thing that moves them, that inspires them and gives meaning to their career. Other times I see
people that do have a passion for something but are just to afraid to go after it. They are afraid to fail
or that they won t be able to support themselves if they follow their dreams. That fear hangs over them
for a long time before they finally let their dream be extinguished and then just live a life of regret.
Most people never regret the risks they take in life, but they often regret the risks they
DIDN T take. I took that risk and it changed my life forever. I m not only able to take care of my
family and spoil them rotten, but I am able to live my life on my own terms and under my own rules.
If you re like me and dream about the markets at night and on Sunday get goosebumps of excitement
from the mark opening in a few hours...if you sit at your cubicle hating your job and your boss as the
only thing you want to be doing is trading, then this class is going to be the tool that gets you where

Deities In Hinduism
Deities in Hinduism
The Supreme Being or God is brought about by Hindus as having different angles. Hindus view
Brahman in three titles: creation, preservation, and destroying. Hindus connect these three titles with
the three faces: Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver, and Shiva the Destroyer. These three gods
together frame the Hindu Trinity. Though these are the three faces, they are of one being, which is
Brahma. The Supreme Being is called Brahma, Vishnu, or Shiva, but most commonly Brahma, or
Brahman.
Hindu religion is regularly marked as a religion of 330 million divine beings. This misconception
emerges when people neglect to get a handle on the imagery of the Hindu religion. By Hindu sacred

Akshobya is the second of the Transcendental Buddhas. Amitaba is the fourth of the five
Transcendental Buddhas. He manages the Buddha domain Sukavati, a pure land. Amitaba is the Lord

alternate Lotus relatives support the slow developing. Amitaba is red and sits in the full lotus stance

Hindu beliefs:
Hindus put stock in a one, all pervasive Supreme Being who is both inborn and otherworldly, both
Creator and Unmanifest Reality. Hindus put stock in the godlikeness of the four Vedas and revere the
Agamas. Hindus trust that the universe experiences unlimited cycles of creation, protection and
disintegration. Hindus believe in Karma, the law of circumstances and end results by which every
individual makes his own fate by his musings, words, and deeds. Hindus believe that spirits resurrect,
advancing through numerous births and moksha, freedom from the cycle of resurrection, is achieved
(called Samsara). Hindus believe that all life is hallowed, to be cherished and adored. Hinduism is a
nontheism; some may or may not believe in a god (or goddess),but all believe that no god (or goddess,
for that matter) shapes the person s beliefs or actions. The god or goddess is simply a figure to pray

Steroids And Baseball The Ultimate Strike-Out Research Paper
Steroids and Baseball: The Ultimate Strike Out
For as long as sports have been around, countless numbers of athletes have been driven towards being
the best, and doing whatever it takes to become successful. As sports become more competitive, many
athletes strive to find a way to improve their strengths and abilities. One possible solution to the
problem, is with the help of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs), also known as steroids. Steroids
first came to flourishing in Major League Baseball (MLB) in the 1970s, when Tom House a former
pitcher in (MLB) openly recognizing that there were multiple players per team experimenting with
steroids and human growth hormones. During the 1900s steroids quickly became much more
excessive and widespread, according to Juicin in The Majors: A History of steroids in baseball written
by Joshua Z. Lavine February, 2013. By the 1990s, steroids had become an epidemic....Rick Helling, a
pitcher for the Texas Rangers and a player representative, stood up at the winter meeting of the
Executive Board of the Major League Baseball Players Association and reported this problem...
Despite the pitchers cry and plea for awareness of the problem, he was ignored. Eventually the
statistical evidence on the issue had come full force and much too strong to ignore. During the 1990s

A Research Study On Stem Cell Therapy
Introduction
Stem cells are homogeneous cells found in the human body which have potential to change into, or
differentiate into a range of specific types of cells (Stoppler, 1996). The refurbishment and protection
of many adult tissues are safeguarded by stem cells (SCs) which exist in the top of the cellular sorting
section of these tissues (Beck, 2013). Practical assessments, such as transplantation, in vitro
clonogenic assesses (technique used to study efficacy of exact agents in terms of the proliferation and
endurance of cells) and in vivo lineage tracing, have been undertaken to evaluate the repairing and
differentiation capability of normal SCs (Beck, 2013). Currently, research is on going to resolve
whether stem cell therapy is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Minimal research findings and reports have been written on the role of side population (SP) cells in
human nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). This literature review will evaluate the 2007 research article
on, Identification of Cancer Stem Cell Like Side Population Cells in Human Nasopharyngeal
Carcinoma Cell Line, by Wang, Guo, Chen, Zeng and Lu, and determine whether SP cells in human
NPC are viable as an aid in efficient drugs and therapeutic strategies which target NPC Cancer stem
cells (CSC) (Wang, Guo, Chen, Zeng, Lu, 2007).
Review of Underpinning Science
Cancer stem cells (CSCs) give rise to the movement of cancer from one section of the body to another,
and are located in several tumour varieties. The unique properties of stem cells which make them
different from normal cells are; their unspecialised nature, capability to give rise to specialised cell
types and ability to divide and renew themselves (Bethesda, 2015). These stem cell properties can be
used to classify CSCs, and therefore can enable them to treat NPC. A major result of this manipulation
process is the ability the cell can have to extrude dyes such as Hoechst 33342 through the ATP binding
cassette (which encloses membrane proteins that transfer an extensive array of substrates) (Dean,
2002)(Wu, C., Alman, B. A., 2008). Importantly, SP cells are a source of research as they contain these
stem cell characteristics and are therefore able to exclude the Hoechst 33342 dye. This

The Influence Of Classism
In the novel Pride and Prejudice the author, Jane Austen, employs sarcasm coupled with irony and
characterization in a tantalizing expose that brings to light the unreasonable societal expectations and
behaviors of the 19th century and the influence of classism in the search for matrimony. Austen uses
an intriguing intertwining of the three stand out elements in her novel. Characterization is mixed with
implicit doses of irony and sarcasm to accurately portray different characters as representations of
aspects in society during the 19th century. The antagonist to Elizabeth is presented in chapter 8, with
the character Miss Bingley. While Elizabeth takes societal standards lightly, Miss Bingley does not.
Miss Bingley believes a woman must have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Classism was a rampant part of society during the time period, and its injustices prevailed despite the
rotten practices it induced. Classism influenced heavily into the search for matrimony, and regardless
of Elizabeth s beliefs about marrying for love rather than money, when she eventually found love
interest those around her tried to intimidate her out of marrying Mr. Darcy. The main culprit was Lady
Catherine, Darcy s upper class aunt. Lady Catherine represents everything bad about the influence
classism has on the upper class citizens. Lady Catherine is singularly worried about maintaining a
spotless reputation and converses with Elizabeth saying You have no regard, then, for the honor and
credit of my nephew! Unfeeling, selfish girl! Do you not consider that a connection with you must
disgrace him in the eyes of everybody?...You are then resolved to have him? as to accuse her of being
greedy for ignoring the detrimental effects marrying Darcy would have on his reputation, and hers.
This vain regard for her own welfare points to exactly what Jane Austen is trying to expose, the blatant
disregard for lower classes, or even anybody within a lower class. She purposefully characterizes
Lady Catherine as the epitome of snobbish upper class attitudes. The skillful combination of these
various literary techniques come together perfectly in Jane Austen s expose of 19th century society.
She criticizes the attitudes and behaviors of that era with her satirical language and calculated
characterizations. The reader begins to grasp the social injustices of classism and the mistreatments
carried out by the individuals influenced into

Bergman had been given internal documents anonymously and recruited Wigand to interpret information. The story aired on March 27, 1994. In March of 1995, Bergman proposes an expose on Brown and Williamson. After approval, Wigand begins working with Bergman in Louisville, KY. In August of 1995, Wigand agrees to an interview with 60 Minutes and is reassured it will not air without his permission. In October of 1995, The Wall Street Journal released a story featuring Brown Williamson s internal reports revealing how added ammonia based compounds are used to enhance nicotine uptake in users. The added chemicals make the nicotine more potent when inhaled. Wigand assisted with this article but was not named in the article (2). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Soviet Union was receiving threats from western countries which increased a need for faster industrialization. Vladimir Lenin, created a plan called the New Economic Policy, which was a plan to help rebuild the Russian economy, focusing more agrigculturally rather than industrially, over a longer period of time. After Lenin died, Joseph Stalin rose to power and created a demand on faster industrialization. In 1928, Joseph Stalin created a plan that would change Russian industrialization for the better. This plan was called the Five Year Plan. The plan focused on new developments on steel, machine tools, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Time, Forward!, it talks about a Shock Brigade in Magnitogorsk, Russia who competes with another plant to break the world record for pouring concrete the fastest. This paper argues how Kataev s Time, Forward is an example of how the Soviet Union speeds up time using Stalin s Five Year Plan and the grueling stipulations that came along with this plan to increase forward industrialization to an emerging USSR. After finding out about the world record set at a different plant for the fastest concrete poured, the engineer in charge of construction, David Margulies and many of the other workers immediately want to beat the record. Margulies plans everything out and finds out that it is very possible to beat the record and the crew gets to work. While these men are trying to beat the record, they work in terrible working conditions and their lives are oftern put into danger. They are trying to beat this record in 24 hours with little to no sleep to begin with. It also talks about a strong storm passing through and they continue to work through that, despite the strong wind and the hard rain. Due to the storm one of the workers smashes his hand in railcar doors. Smetana stood on the railroad track between the two couplings that had been knocked together. The canvas glove dangled from his left arm like a rag. (273). This shows that despite harsh working conditions many factory workers faced, they worked through it anyway so that Stalin s Five Year Plan could ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Strength Of Rawls Social Contract Theory The strength of Rawls Social Contract Theory is most obvious when compared with other ethical theories. In my discussion with Professor Hill, it was made apparent to me that I should focus on the main concepts we have discussed in this unit: empathy, rationality, and fallibility. One theory that is easily comparable is Ethical Egoism. Ethical Egoism claims that every action committed by human beings must be out of self interest. Anything done for another individual is considered unethical for an egoist (Hill, Egoism, slide 2). The flaw with this ethical theory can be best explained using a modus ponens valid argument type: If A, then B: If a theory lacks empathy, then it is not the correct ethical theory. A: Ethical Egoism lacks empathy. Therefore, B: Therefore, Ethical Egoism is not the correct ethical theory. With Ethical Egoism, the interests of others are not taken into account. Empathy is an essential part of any ethical theory because the outcome of an event usually involves more than one individual. If one lacks the ability to put themselves into the perspective of another individual, then they should not be making any decision regarding that individual because it could harm them. While Rawls Social Contract Theory is based on some degree of self interest, this self interest is converted into a form that benefits everyone. Therefore, self sacrificing may take place in order to appease the emotions of others so as to keep the balance and avoid chaos. In one of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The National Committee on Pay Equity started this day to act as a constant reminder of how women are still victims of wage inequality. It is very important to remember how women are still discriminated against, and how the pay gap hasn t been getting better. Equal Pay Day is always on a Tuesday because it represents, how far into the next work week women must work to earn what men earned the previous week (pay equity.org). Many women who work the same hours as men are paid less, and are forced to work longer hours to have a substantial income. In 2010, women were making only 77 cents on average for every dollar men made, and the wage gap is even more severe for women of color. The past ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Flights Of Fancy And The Freedom Of Speech Essay In the hypothetical Flights of Fancy and the Freedom of Speech, Jeremy is a 16 year old video game addict who is suspended after posting some fanfiction on facebook which involves characters from his favorite video game, Space Traveler XVIII, plotting to kill one of the characters, Waroomba. The characters are unable to kill Waroombra, however, because he has a copy of the United States Constitution. After the attempted murder, Waroombra grabs an assault rifle and says that he will bring it everywhere with him including the beach, gym, and school. The next day, another student reported the post to the principle, Principle Underwood, and Jeremy is suspended. After being suspended, Jeremy and his family are upset claiming that the school suspension violated Jeremy s first amendment privileges. The question for this hypothetical is: Did Principal Underwood violate Jeremy s first amendment rights when she suspended him from school for his Facebook posting which, among other things, included a character s reference to bringing an assault rifle to school? In the past, the Rule of Law for the First Amendment was that American citizens had the right not to speak (West Virginia Board of Education v. • 12. Edward Taylor Prologue Poem Analysis In Edward Taylor s Prologue he seeks to demonstrate the inferiority of man in respect to God s glory. Taylor begins his piece by creating a metaphor in which his own subsidiarity to God is described in terms of physical stature and uniqueness. He then purposefully includes phrases with erroneous meter and imperfect rhymes to demonstrate that his inferiority extends to his abilities as a writer. Taylor further attempts to establish his lack of authorial skills by including repetitious words, implying that he lacks an extensive vocabulary. When combined these tactics serve to support the idea that Edward Taylor has many shortcomings, both as a human and a poet, especially in comparison to the greatness of God. Taylor begins demonstrating his meagerness by describing the vast inequity between physical standing of God and man by employing a metaphor. In this metaphor, Taylor is but a mere Crumb of Dust in comparison to the glory of God s creation (line 1). This contrast firstly demonstrates Taylor s inadequacy when examined from a physical perspective; Taylor is but the smallest piece of dust, while God s glory is, comparatively, almost endless in size and scope. God being larger than Edward Taylor serves to suggest that God is thus innately superior to Taylor, as greater size implies superiority over those with smaller builds. Therefore, Taylor is not simply seeking to suggest that God is physically larger than himself, but instead aiming to use their difference in bodily ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This phenomenon, whose members were called hippies, originated with America s youth, though it quickly spread to other nations. Hippies advocated personal freedom and expression and hoped to create a society full of peace, harmony, and love. As hippies challenged traditional societal values in an attempt to find inner peace, many members began to experiment with a variety of mediums, including illegal drugs, such a marijuana and LSD; bold fashion, such as tie dyed shirts, long hair, and love beads; and sexual freedom. The year began with a bad start when Vietcong soldiers attacked several South Vietnam cities in a month long invasion called the Tet Offensive. Though, from a military standpoint, American forces had won the battle, it further crushed the moral of Americans, who had repeatedly been told that the Vietcong were close to defeat. However, this surprise attack proved that the Vietcong were still strong and that the government had been deceiving the public. This incident changed the opinions of millions of Americans and support for the Vietnam War was at an all time low. However, events occurring overseas was the not the only source of darkness during this explosive year. America also suffered from the assassination of two prominent public figures during 1968; Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. The assassination of Robert Kennedy, who was the brother of JFK and running for president, shook the nation and weakened the Democratic Party. However, it was the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. that truly threw the nation into chaos. Triton s Role In The Novel Reef By Romesh Gunesekera Introduction Romesh Gunesekera; the author of the novel Reef (1994), begins the story with a young boy by the name of Triton, entering Mr Salgado s household as a Kolla , meaning boy, and starting to become weary of himself and his own capabilities. Throughout the novel, Triton faces certain hardships, but quickly learns to overcome them as he begins to develop a sense of responsibility and independence within the household. Mr Salgado becomes the centre of Triton s world and he is someone that Triton looks up to and wants to become. However, everything changes when Miss Nili becomes the central aspect of Mr Salgado s life and changes the relationships within the household, allowing Triton to see things from a new perspective. Throughout the novel we see how Triton plays the role of an Outsider as well as Insider within the home and how he starts becoming very observant with regards to Miss Nili. In this essay I will discuss how Triton s role in Mister Salgado s household alters and becomes a turning point in the novel. • 15. Yoga And The Yoga Community Yoga, being one of the most effective self help approaches to life and living, invites me to help ensure that it is being integrated with maximum wisdom related to breathing. This page is about supporting and educating the Yoga community in its quest for superior knowledge and effectiveness about proper breathing. It is our responsibility to alert everyone about this as there are probably millions of students and teachers with an unclear or distorted idea of healthy breathing. Nowadays, you can take weekend courses and call yourself a teacher. Many teachers are then first to defend their breathing development proficiency but alas, last to prove it. One needs to experience good breathing to teach it. From a Breathing Times subscriber: Breath is the unifying principal of the three systems mechanics, metabolism and mentality. It is the psychopharmacological link between conscious and unconscious states. Each of the three mechanical aspects of breath has specific neurotransmission function. Any technique(s) that emphasize(s) one aspect of the mechanism exclusively will shift neurometabolism accordingly. Yoga practices are designed for this purpose, stimulating a specific aspect or relationship of aspects. I realize that contemporary yogis don t always explain it this way,and I think that also leads to misuse and abuse. Right knowledge is yoga or union. That union is from bringing together all aspects, and applying iscernment. Jim Nettles A few words from Else ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Proposal For Implementing A Formal Mentoring Program Essay MEMORANDUM TO: Donald Lower, Partner; Barry Anderson, Partner; John Huber, Partner; Todd Whitlow, Partner FROM: Brooke Vondal, Administrative Officer DATE: September 18, 2016 SUBJECT: Proposal to Implement a Formal Mentoring Program Attached is the proposal to implement a mentoring program at Anderson, Lower, Whitlow P.C. In early summer, ALW hired fifteen recently graduated individuals and 12 have already taken positions at other firms. There needs to be a system in place to develop and foster relationships for these individuals within the firm. This firm has a high turnover rate of new hires; currently, the turnover rate is 85%. Firms that are considered the Big Four are offering mentoring programs that make their employees invested in the company s future. Unfortunately, if ALW does not start to compete with this issue, more employees will be lost to the Big Four Firms. Implementing a strong mentoring program that fosters individual and personal growth within the company is vital for the future of this firm. This includes setting up and maintaining a mentoring program. The mentoring program will be set up with individuals from all levels of achievement, that are willing to devote a portion of their time to the firm s prosperity. Investing in the future of this firm, through a formal mentoring program is a vital step. I look forward to working with you throughout this process. Investigation Of Heat Transfer During Hyperthermia Proceedings of Heat Transfer MAE 589 Spring 2015, Tempe, Arizona, USA MAE589 00001 ANALYSIS OF HEAT TRANSFER DURING HYPERTHERMIA Syed Hussaini Arizona State University Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Tempe, AZ, USA Pratik Sankhe Arizona State University Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Tempe, AZ, USA Abstract Hyperthermia is a cancer treatment wherein the cancerous cells are killed by electromagnetic heating of malignant tumor tissue. This study is focused on the effect of using a 432 MHz antenna heating source for hyperthermia treatment of tissue. Temperatures of 42 °C to 46 °C are required to kill the cancer cells while the healthy tissue is unaffected. Technology is way more advance in the millieum era then it was in the 1990 s so changing educational organizations should arrange with the advancement of the era. The article also goes into detail about being able to come together and take intination in developing a plan to create change. When individuals want to implement change they have to develop not only a plan but also have resources and a committee or team. Therefore more then one idea or suggestion will make the plan worthwhile of pursuing. Individuals who would want change also have to reach out to stakeholders and politicians. • 21. The Crooked Line Essay Ismat Chughtai s The Crooked Line reads like a classic Bildungsroman in many ways. It is the story of a child born in an environment which is fairly hostile who grows up and is able to move away from this hostile environment on a journey of self discovery. This basic structure is, however, where the similarity ends. A Bildungsroman is a novel of development of the central protagonist from birth to a position of stability within the social sphere. This normative form functions as a basis for Ismat Chughtai s novel The Crooked Line but instead of being the pattern followed, it is the path not taken. The normative Bildungsroman is that against which this novel rebels and tells the story of a protagonist who follows a trajectory which is individualistic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As it avows to depict reality and change is a fundamental feature of reality, it is imperative that the realist novel changes constantly as well. This implies that the structural foundation of a Bildungsroman would also have to be modified in order to make it contemporary and also realist. The nature of this change, especially in the European context is obvious in terms of the transformation of the novel from depicting stability into a genre which hinges on the inherent instability of a society. In his essay on this topic, Franco Moretti in his introduction to The Way of the World argues that the new novel is the transformative novel. In this, he uses the model of the novel of adultery in which the growth of a character is located in the sphere of adultery and thereby is essentially an unstable stability. This instability forms the foundation of the novel form in one more significant aspect; one which is critical for Chughtai s Shaman as well. Youth is important for the central protagonist because it is the site of potential which is hitherto untapped. This potential encapsulates the heroic potential of the protagonist and manifests itself in the larger system of causality in the text. The trajectory which the central protagonist will choose to follow is begun in a young age. The decisions of the character work as milestones against which one may measure the success or the degree of closure provided by the ending. However, as Moretti further elaborates, this Bildungsroman encapsulates within it another paradox; the individual s growth cannot be parallel to societal growth as the social sphere exists in order to suppress the individual. This implies that any authentic Bildungsroman hinges on the discovery of a stable and viable alternative. That the protagonist will in some way find a balance between the self and the world and therefore s/he will be able to develop personally as well as socially. This developmental ... At this age, it would be perfect, because I am young enough that I can get into these tournament for free with an adult, and I am old enough that I would know what to watch for when I am there. There are some procedures that may be needed for the care of the baby. What I know about a neonatal nurse is that you need to have a four year bachelors and masters of science in nursing degree. The reason I m interested in this career is because I want to save lives and make a difference in the lives of the infants and their families. This career is something I will enjoy doing even if it can be sad at times. The information I found out about a neonatal nurse was that their duties include administering medications, monitoring vital signs and providing vital nutrients to newborns. Most premature and sick newborns have lungs that aren t fully developed, the neonatal nurse must ensure that infants are breathing and maturing properly. They provide complete care for babies, such as attend deliveries, weigh and measure infants, bathe them and monitor their health. They also teach new parents about newborn care and breastfeeding. When we talk about replacing gasoline as the fuel we use to power our vehicles, biomass, hydrogen, and fuel cells are the three most talked about alternatives. Biomass, which is organic material made from plants and animals, contains stored energy from the sun. Also they must use another fuel source with hydrogen being the most practical to work and we have already discussed above the problems with hydrogen. In the future experts hope to use methanol instead of hydrogen to combine with oxygen which is readily available in the air to power fuel cells. This would be a major breakthrough since methanol is just as easy to transport and distribute as gasoline. There is no magic bullet solution in getting rid of gasoline as the fuel we use to power our vehicles just like there is no magic bullet solution for the replacement of oil, natural gas, and nuclear energy that we use to produce electricity. The one thing our government can do right now to reduce the amount of gasoline we use is to pass legislation doubling the fuel efficiency of our vehicles which would cut in half the amount of gasoline we would consume.
