Abstract
This paper covers a brief history of the 20th Engineer Battalion. Covering from its beginning as the
20th Engineer Regiment prior to the start of World War I to the resignation as the 20the Engineer
Battalion and ending with the conclusion of Desert Storm/Desert Shield. Thru out the Battalions
history, I hope to show some of the most notable events and accomplishments of the Lumberjacks.

Elizabethan Theatres such as the Globe Theatre. Elizabethan Inns were always popular. Not only

My Childhood
Everyone s had a bad day before, whether that be because they re going through a breakup, a
relative died, or life just seems to be going against them. In these circumstances it s practically
necessary to have a safe place to go to. These places can range from a bedroom to a church to a

I remember a mixture of enthusiasm and dread prior to a visit from a Pennsylvania state
representative to my high school government and politics class. We were discussing local
educational funding and I had many questions for him about the topic. But more than anything I
did not want to embarrass myself. I went to bed early the previous night, and before class I
guzzled two cans of Monster energy drink.There was a safety pin in my pocket just in case. The
first few minutes of class I felt euphoric and was enthralled with the discussion on the local
political landscape. However, my energy quickly began to drain. I tried to focus on my notes
but after a half hour I was barely able to grip my pencil and saw that much of what I had written
was incoherent scribble. In desperation, I took the safety pin out of my pocket and frantically

We see it again when Dred decides to walk time square hand in hand with a Queen Bee Luscious,
a drag queen. In the background we hear a passerby say a statement referring to God. Viewing
this documentary we realize that cross dressing, as a man, is not as acceptable as many would
think. Not just crossing dressing in generally but even not embodying how females should look is
deemed as being deviant.
Society has this spectrum that every individual as soon as they are born is classified into groups.
There are only two categories. On one end you have the masculine males and on the other the
girly women. There is no in between. Even though there are many people who fall into these
middle categories. This is reinforced through media as we see both men and women trying to
conform into their assigned categories. What Drag Kings do is try to break this concept as it is
poisonous to women and men who don t fit in and suffer trying to conform to the social roles
placed on them. For example, let s look at hair. In the documentary we see some females who
decided to shave their head hair. Angela says that female sexuality for many men, not all but many,
is linked strongly with hair. If you shave it, it means that you are denying your female sexuality . It
is not just simply shaving your head that is the reason that you are making a statement. It is the way

negatively affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. In contrast to normal sadness, clinical
depression is persistent, often interferes with a person s ability to experience or anticipate pleasure,
and significantly interferes with functioning in daily life. Untreated, symptoms can last for weeks,
months, or years; and if inadequately treated, depression can lead to significant impairment, other

Gordie Howe In Hockey
Hockey has many aspects to the game including how it came about as national sport in the world
today and creating one of the greatest hockey players Gordie Howe who played for the Detroit Red
Wings. Gordie Howe grew up in a small town that goes by Saskatoon where he learned to play
hockey. Howe spent most of his winters on any ice surface he could get his skates on. Howe
loved to play hockey even though his family was challenged on the wealth side of things. He got
his first pair of skates from a neighbor, the skates were far too big so he put on multiple pairs of
socks so they would fit and so he could skate. Eventually he grew out of his skates and he had to
strap blades to his everyday shoes. Howe developed a health threatening calcium deficiency... Show
Gordie Howe managed to play a solid 25 seasons with the Detroit Red Wings. He won the Red
Wings to 4 Stanley Cups, and even Grezinsky Idolized him. Howe played 32 seasons of hockey a
majority of them with the Red Wings. He played Right Wing by scoring in all kinds of different
maneuvers . He handled the puck very well by setting up his teammates by giving precise passes
and sniping the corners. Gordie Howe had hat tricks here and there from season to season, but
Howe did however create a new hat trick called the Gordie Howe hat trick which is one fight,
one goal, and a assist. During the time that Howe played helmets were not required so he
received numerous injuries, including 500 stitches in the face. But Howe kept living his dream.
Howe teamed up with Sid Abel and Ted Lindsay to become the Red Wings production line. The
Wings dominated the league in the 1950s. The players on the production line could be
blindfolded and they still could know where the other player is on the ice. Howe was eventually 1st
or 2nd NHL team 21 times. He helped the Red Wings win the Stanley cup in 1950, 52 , 54 ,and 55 .
Even Grezinsky recognized how good he was, then again Grezinsky was only a kid. After playing
with the Red Wings for so long he had ended his hockey career, but later he played with his sons
and a couple other NHL
