Devil Wears Prada Essay Quotes
Devil Wears Prada
Devil Wears Prada is a story of a protagonist, Andrea Sachs and her occupational
journey of trying to balance her profession and her social life. Andrea or known as
Andy, has graduated and is hoping for a job as a journalist. Despite her dreams of
becoming a journalist she receives a job at a fashion magazine known as Runway
magazine as an assistant for Miranda Priestly. Throughout the movie, Andy had to
balance her social life and her career pursuit where Miranda had given her many
problematic tasks that Andy had to complete. In the workplace, there will be a wide
variety of instances where you will work hard to complete a task, without receiving
any recognition. Three instances where Andy completed a difficult task... Show more

The task of attaining the manuscript was the breaking point of Andy s workplace,
however as she received the manuscript Andy felt relieved. After getting the
manuscript, Miranda was astonished and started to show Andy respect. After the
completion of this task, Andy had responded in a respectful manner as she
answered Miranda s questions about the manuscript. This was quite humble of
Andy as she achieved an impossible task and still spoke to Miranda in a kind
demeanor. If I was in Andy s shoes I would not do things differently as Miranda is
her boss and is willing to fire Andy. Considering this, I would respond to Miranda
in the same way Andy did as her job is on stake. It is evident that this task was
difficult and a burden for Andy.
Another instance where Andy had to complete a difficult task was memorizing a
protracted list of names for the fashion extravaganza. They had to tell the names of
the guests to Miranda as they approached her. This task was difficult as she had to
memorize all these names by midnight. In one instance, Andy saved Emily as she
forgot the name of one of the guests and Andy whispered the name into Miranda s
ear. Miranda s reaction of this was slightly thankful however mostly neutral. Emily
had a different reaction and was impressed at Andy s work. Andy responded with a
slight nudge and smiled as Emily thanked her. I agree with how Andy responded as
she didn t celebrate that she did something correct and was quite

way that Mao Zedong was using his power for own personal gain. As it was written
in the text, Mao was the only millionaire created in Mao s China. (333) Based on the

highlighted that the chairman immensely wanted power by contacting Soviet Union

establishing Chairman Mao s rank among the Chinese regime. Although, Mao was
not the only individual that Joseph Stalin worked with. Based on the information,
Mao Zedong noticed a huge opportunity that could boost up his position that the
authors emphasized. Mao: The Unknown Story was a remarkable and dramatizing
biography of Mao Zedong. Jung Chang and Jon Halliday depicted China s chairman
as pitiless leader that was behind the majority of the slaughters under his rule. The
effects that Mao left on China were astonishing to learn about. Mao s philosophy was
the strangest thought that did not function properly as it should have. Cravings for
absolute power made Chairman Mao to become a vicious tyrant. Mao Zedong s

Descriptive Essay On Destitute Beauty
Destitute Beauty In the large city of New York, there are many beautiful people. I
am not one of them. I can pass hours away sitting in a coffee shop in a tall seat next
to the window, watching the beauties pass, seeing my reflection against them even
more bloated and lumpy than normal. Some of them notice me. Most of them don
t. It doesn t matter. Like I said, New York is a large city, I ll never see them again.
And anyway, I m sure they re used to people staring. How could they not be, they
draw people with their large, black rimmed eyes and lean figures and cutting
jawbones like dogs to the enticing smell of meat. I am just another dog, one they
will forget in moments. And when the sun sets, and the beautiful people fade away
and the crowd becomes faceless and intoxicated, that s when I leave, and where I
stay until the sun rises, becoming one with the pulse and throb of the mass.
Promising myself that the next day, yes, the next day, I ll get a job, ignore the
cold, gorgeous people, succeed even with my lumps, and papery skin, and eyes
that are just a little too far apart. And the next day, with my headache, I return.
Today is yesterday and the day before. The sun is especially bright now, almost
passive aggressively bright, shining smugly through the haze that buries the city,
bouncing into the small cafe in which I spend most of my time. It s supposed to be
homey, with nearly dead plants hanging skeletal by the windows and overstuffed
couches near a coffee table. I sit in the uncomfortable seat that s almost comically
tall, at the only table next to a window. The barista Ellen is chatting happily with a
customer, she barely notices me anymore. Which is fine by me. A woman, with long
legs and hollows under her cheekbones, struts past the cafГ©, a mere foot away
from me. She doesn t notice my stare. It s a funny thing. People talk all they want
about feeling when people stare at them, getting goosebumps and looking around
frantically for their admirer. But either it isn t true, or I m not important enough for
my stare to mean anything, hold any weight. Searching through the crowd, I find
parts and pieces that I want most, playing a game I often play. Her taut stomach, her
long legs, her bright eyes,

Medical Assistants On Becoming A Registered Nurse
Do you think there are more medical assistants (MA) then registered nurses (RN)?
Do you think they are capable of doing the same job? I will tell you everything you
need to know about MAs and RNs. First off I would like to say that I am a medical
assistant and I have been since 2007, I enjoy my job and the people I work with. I
think I have outgrown my profession, now I m looking to advance and work on
becoming a registered nurse. Medical assistants and registered nurses both work in
a medical setting, and they make sure patients are comfortable and cared for. They
both are relied on for the smooth operation of a medical setting. Both occupations
assist physicians and nurse practitioners, and they are referred to as nurses.
Although, they are both called nurses they do not share the same credentials.
Medical assistants can perform several tasks under a physician s supervision, but
they are not permitted to perform procedures on a patient. Registered Nurses can
perform several tasks as well and procedures without supervision. Being a medical
assistant involves being able to perform both clerical and clinical tasks. Clerical
jobs include typing and answering phones and clinical involve more jobs like a
nurse. Medical Assistants (MAs) help physicians by taking vital signs, interviewing
patients, ordering supplies, and keeping records. They also may authorize drug
refills as directed by a physician and telephone prescriptions to a pharmacy. They
may also perform lab tests and
Divorce In The Puritan Age Essay
Divorce in the Puritan age
In the Old Testament of the Bible, divorce by definition is the termination of
marriage caused by sin that entered the world ( Divorce. ). The Old Testament,
along with the overall sovereignty of God, were the roots of Puritan living. Malachi
2:16 says that For I, the God of Israel, hate divorce. ( Divorce. ). Marriage was known
as a sacred contract tied profoundly with God. With this being said, the Puritans
heavily frowned upon divorce. It was a shameful act, although permissible when
under certain circumstances.
Due to its adverse reputation, divorce was not widely practiced throughout the
Puritan era (Smith). However, it was not classified directly as a sin itself (Smith).
Divorce was rather the product of one s sin; often blamed towards one party rather
than both. In the early Puritan days divorce was only allowed under certain
conditions. Such circumstances include death, adultery, false contract, neglect and
violence, desertion, and failure to provide (Smith). With adultery, neglect and
desertion, only the innocent party is free to remarry (Webster). Divorce was a means
of keeping family safe and social order intact (Smith). Couples that found a mutual
discordancy had to remain married until ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His work was based on the Old Testament as well, however offered a new standing
point on things. He claimed that when apparent unfitness may be seen in a marriage,
the continuation of man and wife is a form of going against God (Webster). If they
construe mutual unhappiness, it is determined that God never joined them in the first
place. This document set divorce free of all biblical configurations. Incompatibility
and irreconcilable differences were added to the list of suitable reasons for separation
in the late Puritan days
Analysis Of The Book French Photography 1800-1960
The Barnes Foundation s newest exhibition, French Photography 1800 1960, is a
collection of photographs that encapsulates life in France during the 19th and 20th
centuries. The exhibit features photographs by artists including Ilse Bing, Brassai,
and Henri Cartier Bresson. Entering into the exhibit is like taking a trip through time;
depending on if you turn left or right at the entrance to the exhibit, you can travel
forward through time from the early to the mid 1900s or you can travel backwards.
The exhibit is organized by eight different periods and the attitudes that were most
prevalent during them. The categories are: Parisand Environs, Street Life, Commerce,
Labor, Leisure, Reportage, Celebrity, and Art for Art s Sake. The exhibit is an
enlightening trip through time, highlighting the glamorable life in France in the 19th
and 20th centuries, bringing to life artistic movements, culminating in the final
intersection of cubism and photography, Brassai s piece Transmutation: Girl
Dreaming being perhaps the brightest star in the collection. Unlike other exhibits in
the Barnes, French Photography is unique in its medium. Photographs are fresh and
different from the Barnes usual paintings. It is also different in the Barnes treatment
of the pieces. Main installments at the Barnes are hung on the walls as if they were
in someone s living room but a black line drawn through every room prevents any
viewer from getting to close to the works of art. However, the photographs

Challenging Comparative Advantage Essay
Comparative advantage is a principle developed by David Ricardo in the early 19th
century to explain the benefits of mutual trade (Carbaugh, 2008). Many underlying
assumptions of comparative advantage depend on states of economic equilibrium and
an absence of economy of scale. In reality, economies are dynamic and subject to
innovation and interference; which has led to revised assumptions of return and
competition (Krugman, 1987). These factors have created questions of free trade and
governmental participation in an economy by the development of strategic trade
policies. These new concepts do not replace the theory of comparative advantage;
however, they further explain how trade can benefit a country s economy (Krugman,
1987).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Manufacturing adjusts to meet a constant return on the product (Hunt Morgan, 1995).
Effectively, these theories rely on national monopolistic models to explain
comparative advantage (Ossa, n.d.). While the standard of comparative advantage
explains why trade can exist between countries, the assumptions do not account for
conditions of increasing returns and imperfect competition.
A Dynamic Economy The principle of comparative advantage provides a simplified
theory explaining why free trade is possible, even when one country has an economic
disadvantage. Both the Ricardian and Heckscher Ohlin theories rely on fixed
economic assumptions of constant return and perfect competition. However,
intuitively the basic principle of business is to increase returns through innovation,
improving processes and technology or increasing economies of scale. Organizations
understand they control pricing and are price setters, rather than price takers as
suggested by perfect competition (Krugman Obstfeld, 2003). The idea of increasing
returns and imperfect competition challenge the foundations of comparative
advantage. Increasing returns are the natural outcome of decreasing output costs and
have external and internal factors which influence economies of scale (Ossa, n.d.).
Economies of scale are influenced externally by industry size, rather than firm size
and include
Reflection Paper On My Diet
Summary I had such an unhealthy diet before but my diet has changed since I
made a few plans for the Journal #1. And I was pretty good to keep it until when I
just finished the Journal #2. Most of them are going pretty well still now too but
recently I have something wrong on my diet again. Even if I did not plan such a
big thing, to keep everything that I planned was a little difficult because I had
been having the unhealthy diet for a pretty long time which means it takes time to
change my old habits. I just realized that I am getting to return to my old habit and
I have to plan again to improve it. Challenges I realized that I am getting to return
to my old diet habits and I was thinking about what cause that. And I think the
reason could be my schedule of the school because I realized that I usually take
food at home or school and I do not take an instant food at home anymore. It means
the school is the only place that I take food except for home. One of my challenges
that I made was that taking a breakfast and I still keep that because I could buy
homemade Korean food that composed of a light soup with a few side dishes
which are very healthy food for every week. But at the school, I always have two
classes that from 8 or 9 a.m. to around 3 or 4 p.m. during the weekdays and I should
take a lunch at school. But, in the school I do not have many choices for food. So, I
just take food for satiety and I cannot digest well and it also cause that I take dinner
at late night.
The Death Of Juliet s Deaths For Romeo And Juliet
Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, was originally published in
1597. Until this day, the play is very well known worldwide. The classic love story
is set in Verona and is about a long feud between the Montague and Capulet
families. This feud causes the death of their beloved children, Romeo and Juliet,
who are described as star crossed lovers. It is a play of contrasts of love and hate,
joy and sorrow, light and dark, youth and age, life and death. Some readers will
blame the main characters, Romeo and Juliet for bringing about their tragic
deaths, however some may argue that other characters are responsible for their
deaths, with only little of the blame to be placed on Romeo and Juliet. Firstly, one
character who is undeniably responsible for Romeo and Juliet s death is Friar
Laurence. There are three primary reasons he is accountable for Romeo and Juliet
s death. The first reason is that he gave the poison to Juliet. In the last few scenes
of Act Three, we find out that Juliet will have to marry Paris and because she does
not want to, she seeks Friar Laurence for advice. Juliet s feels that her only solution
is to kill herself, but Friar Laurence advises her there is another way out; drinking
the potion that will stop her pulse and breathing, making her seem like she is dead
for forty two hours: When presently through all thy veins shall run / A cold and
drowsy humour, for no pulse / No warmth, no breath, shall testify thou livest, / The
roses in thy
The Impact Of Love Canal
Love Canal is a neighborhood located in the city of Niagara Falls that was built on a
toxic waste dump. The hazardous waste, the residents of Love Canal were living on
had detrimental effects on their health and the surrounding environment. Families
who purchased houses were unaware that their backyard had buried waste under it.
Once the residents had developed health issues, investigations of the environment
took place. After the citizens found this out, they battled with state, and federal
authorities demanding that suitable and lasting reparations were made. Love Canalis
an environmental tragedy that had a major health impact on the residents, and helped
lead to changes in the way our society thinks.

Resistance Training Program
Discussion #2
The importance of the endocrine system when designing a resistance training
program:
The endocrine system releases hormones to help the body regulate and stabilize
internally. When designing a resistance training program, it is important to look at
the predicted outcome (for example: muscle growth) and see what hormones are
linked to that predicted outcome. The goal is to get the best hormonal response from
areas that will help guide you to the intended outcome of the program. If I was
designing a program for strength and muscle growth (using the knowledge I have of
the endocrine system), I know that human growth hormone and testosterone are the
hormones that will play a large role there. Since testosterone directly interacts
Sexism In School Dress Codes
Sexism in School Dress Codes In freshman year I remember walking down the
hallway and seeing a girl wearing shorts and a t shirt. The shorts were blue and
adequately covered her body while the t shirt was a white v neck that exposed some
of her chest. She was sent home because of how much of a distraction she would
cause for the guys in her classes. I remember thinking that it was completely unfair:
She was losing her opportunity to learn because her outfit was considered distracting.
This type of situation happens a lot. Girls are denied access to educationbecause their
clothes don t meet the dress codestandards. Dress codes in the schools are sexist
towards females and should be changed. Women don t wear the clothes they do to
distract or please men. Women wear the clothes they do because that s how they want
to dress and what they want to wear. Appropriate clothing shall be that which does
not pose... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some say men distract men when they don t dress according to the dress code.
However, women aren t the only thing that men should be focusing on in the
world. If they have work to do, boys should be able to be mature enough and pay
attention. Some might also claim that the dress code is enforced equally for both
genders. How many stories do you hear in the news about male students getting
sent home for dress codes? I walk around my school everyday and see sagging
pants and inappropriate choices of clothing on a large amount of males, but I have
yet to witness one of those males being sent home for their clothing choices. Lastly,
people may try to argue that dress codes protect women from harm. Statistics say
different. 58% of 7 12th grade female students experience sexual harassment every
school year (Gordon Claire). Perhaps it s the culture of disrespect for women s
bodies that causes this harassment, not girls asking for it by wearing certain
The Iguana Figurative Language
Beauty is an enthralling trait, so enthralling that it may incite a desire to possess in
the hearts it captures. But beauty, in illuminating irony of its wiles, is not to be
obtained. In the piece of literature, The Iguana, written by Isak Dinesen, is entailed a
story concerning a personal, thoughtful, and epiphanic experience of the narrator in
regards to beauty. The author develops the theme of revelation via the use of the
literary devices of characterization and figurative language. The author first exhibits
the theme of revelation in concurrence with the literary device of characterization
when the narrator sho ots and kills an iguana. Once I shot an Iguana. I thought that I
should be able to make some pretty things from his skin. That... Show more content

She describes the shimmering elegance of the iguana with figurative language. They
shine like a heap of precious stones or like a pane cut out of an old church window.
When, as you approach, they swish away, there is a flash of azure, green and purple
over the stones, the colour seems to be standing behind them in the air, like a comet s
luminous tail. She acknowledges the grace and luster of the iguana with colorful
comparisons to sparkling stone or church window, saying also that it has a likeness to
comet s shining and exuberant tail. This is her initial impression of the iguana. She
then shoots the iguana with the intention of flaying and fashioning things from its
skin. She remarks on its appearance after being shot, saying ...and by the time that I
touched him he was grey and dull like a lump of concrete. She notices that the iguana,
in a state bereft of life, has taken on an appearance in blatant contrast to its preceding
form, and she notices this. A third instance of the theme of revelation operating in
conjunction with figurative language is when the narrator encounters a young
African girl and is enraptured by the charming amalgam of colors on her bracelet. She
hastily has Farah purchase the bracelet from the girl for her, and once donning it,
notices an immediate and grievous transformation. No sooner had it come upon my
own arm than it gave up the ghost. It was nothing now, a small, cheap, purchased
article of finery. The bracelet had been in such incongruence with her pale hand that
its beauty was diminished nigh instantaneously, and she takes heed of this. It became
nothing short of the corpse of the iguana. These three instances develop the theme of
revelation through displaying the shift in her understanding of beauty and its
connection with life with figurative language. She also understands that beauty is not
an obtainable item, and it is
Advantages And Disadvantages Of Philanthropy
The most common form of philanthropy in the CSR pyramid (Economic, Legal,
Ethical, and Philanthropic) is cause related marketing, where a charity donation is
tied to a commercial exchange. Next most common are donations of cash in which
donations are not tied to a sale of a product. These donations can also be matches of
fundraising for a cause. Another common form of philanthropy is community
involvement, usually coupled with employee volunteerism. Other less common forms
of philanthropy include awareness campaigns and promotions of social issues,
donations of products, licensing, event sponsorship, and customer donations. (Peloza
Shang, 2010).
As the most common form of modern philanthropy, cause related marketing can be
defined as a marketing strategy whereby the firm makes a financial or other type of
contribution to a nonprofit organization, contingent upon the customer engaging in a
revenue providing exchange that satisfies both the business and individual objectives.

who are the consumers of the future. Proper CSR can also attract future talent to

Amish Demographic Report
Descriptive epidemiology focus on how a disease is spread within a population. This
can be done in three different approaches such as counts, case series, and cross
sectional studies. The observation of the Amish population in Lancaster, PA favors
the application of the cross sectional method of descriptive epidemiology.
Analyzing the population health in the Amish group requires some understanding of
the Amish people. It is a special population where their perspectives on health is
shaped by their religious beliefs and cultures. The Amish settled in four counties in

society thrives on helping each other and sharing each other s burdens. To assist one

NFL Fining Players Imagine a person fresh out of college getting fined thousands
of dollars. This happens all of the time in the NFL. The bad thing is they re not
even breaking the law. Players are breaking the rules in the NFL and get fined. The
reason behind all of this is to keep a fair game between the franchises. Yet these
people make thousands and thousands of dollars anyways. Does fining even make a
difference to them anyways? Some say the NFL fining its players is a good thing. In
the NFL there are many things that can cause a fine to a player. According to Jason
Plautz players in the NFL can get fines for simply changing the color of their shoes
(Mental Floss). Excessive celebration is a common way to get fined usually in the
endzone. Only certain celebrations that would include fans or messing with the
pylons and actions along those lines can result in a fine to a player. Also making
contact with a referee in any way, which can be known in some cases as
unsportsmanlike conduct will cause a fine in the direction of that player.
Punching and kicking a player from the opposing team will get a player fined. In
some cases tackling the quarterback after he has thrown the ball is illegal and the
NFL will fine the player, and also late hits and cut blocking are illegal. The
interesting thing is a player can avoid a fine, if there is no penalty flag thrown

How do you think you would deal with death? Would the death of a close family
member change you in any way? How do we know how to accept that loss, and go
on with our own life as if nothing had happened? As a young girl when I started
growing into my teen years. I never once worried about the what if s in life. I was
too busy enjoying life with all the new things it had in store for me, as I was
becoming a teenager. I felt like nothing could harm me, or the familyI loved. To me
my family was invincible. The bad things we would hear about in life like death,
or an illness only happened to those around us. I never really wondered why, but I
felt my family and myself were always safe. I went from day to day not realizing
the impact that the death of a loved one would have on the remaining family
members. According to my friends, I was the spoiled girl next door. They
considered me as the only friend they had that lived a worry free happy go lucky
life. Although I did miss my father at times, he was not home very much, it seemed
like he was always at work. My parents made sure I had everything I needed or
wanted, for the most part I was happy. I had no idea that my life as I knew it was
about to change. It all started one Wednesday evening. I had noticed that my dad
was home extra early from work. I could see the troubled look on his face as him and
my mother went into the den and shut the door. I did not give it much thought at the
time. I swept what curiosity I
Barn Burning Literary Analysis
The Barn Burning a short story wriiten by William Faulkner in which the protagonist
Young Colonel Sartoris Snopes is left to watch in constant disbelief of his farther
often explosive anger which manifests itself into destroying other peoples property.
This story exemplifies the old adages that speak out against anger and warn people
about the dangers of letting your emotions control you. Unlike th countless parables
warning the farther of his misguided anger the farther does not learn from these
messages and falls victim to his uncontrolled sin. The Barn Burningis a parable

Snopes is given a second chance. With this second chance he is able to avoid legal
ramifications, move out of town and start life over hopefully having learned from
his mistakes. But like most characters in a allegory rthee is a lesson to be learned
from them and in this case Mr. Snopes does not learn from his previous mistakes.
In a sense of total disregard for others property Mr. Snopes soils his new boss s rug
and is forced to clean it. Instead of thoroughly and carefully cleaning the rug he
ruins it and trys to return it to his boss. When his boss orders him to pay for the
rug Mr.Snopes becomes enraged and reverts back to old habits. Mr.Snopes is
depicted as a man who will not hesitate to evoke the power of fire against those
who impose him (Lodges 44) .This statement gives a clear view into the kind of
devious and anger provoked actions Mr.Snopes is willing to undertake in order to
get revenge on those he feels have wronged him. This statement also shows the
kind o fangry attitude which will ultimately be Mr.Snopes downfall. Mr. Snopes
enlist his son to help him burn down his bosses barn but young Snopes does not
want to partake in any more of Mr. Snopes destructive fits of anger. In a panicked
mental state young Snopes warns one of the servants at the boss s house and help is
sent out to stop Mr.snopes. The boss and the serant ran out to the barn and killed

The Ocean Ranger Oil Disaster Essay
The Ocean Ranger The Ocean Ranger was an offshore exploration oil drilling
platform that sank in Canadian waters 315 kilometres southeast from St. John s
Newfoundland, on the Grand Banks of Newfoundland on February 15, 1982, with
84 crewmembers onboard. The Ocean Ranger was the largest semi submersible,
offshore exploration, oil drilling platform of the day. Built in 1976 by Japan s
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, it operated off the coasts of Alaska, New Jersey,
Ireland, and in November 1980 moved to the Grand Banks. Since it was so big it
was considered to have the ability to drill in areas too dangerous for other rigs. The
government thought it was unsinkable, so they felt that there was no need to train a
crew very well. The disaster... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For more safety, training requirements for offshore workers have greatly increased
and new facilities have been established to make sure that the workers have the
safety skills to avoid another disaster like the Ocean Ranger. Weather buoys were
placed in certain areas throughout the waters in Atlantic Canada to give weather
information to forecasters and mariners. The oil companies were held responsible
because they did not train their workers for emergency procedures and did not do
any emergency drills. The Ocean Ranger could have survived the storm and
flooding if the crewmembers had understood how the ballast system worked. The
two men working in the ballast room had never been tested for what they had
learned. The senior operator had only reached the halfway point in his training, but
he was promoted. The Ocean Ranger did not have enough safety equipment on
board for the amount of passengers they had. Families of lost crewmembers sued
the companies that owned and operated the Ocean Ranger. The companies were
forced to pay millions in lawsuits. Oil companies lost a lot of money because of all
the lawsuits, but Canada and other countries that used the Ocean Ranger, lost one of
their sources of oil, which may have been a very good producer for them. Japan
especially lost money because they invested the money into building this structure.

Radan Research Paper
History
Radon was discovered in 1900 by German Chemist Friedrich Ernst Dorn. Radon was
the third radioactive element found after Polonium and Radium. Dorn discovered
the element because of an observation made by Marie Curie. Dorn discovered that
when radium is released into the air the air becomes radioactive. After observing the
gas for a while Dorn discovered that radium produces a gas when it breaks apart. Dorn
first called the gas Radium Emanation ,Emanation meaning something given off. In
1923, seven years after Dorns death scientists changed the name Radium Emanation
to Radon. Referring to where the gas comes from, Radium.

All of Radons isotopes are radioactive. Radons most stable Isotope. While there are
no stable isotopes in radon, the most stable isotope is 222Rn, which is a decay
product of 226Ra. There are 3 Isotopes of Radon that occur in nature, radon 219,
radon 220, and radon 222. Isotopes are two or more forms of an element. Each
isotope is different because of its mass number. All Isotopes of Radon have very
short half lives and they do not remain in the atmosphere for very long. The half
life of an element is the time it takes for half of a sample of the element to break
down. The radon Isotope with the longest half life is Radon 222, lasting only 3.8
days. Most of Radons Isotopes do not last more than a few seconds, or minutes.
Some of the physical properties of Radon is that it is a colorless, odorless, and
tasteless gas. When radon is at standard temperature and pressure, radon forms a
monatomic gas with a density of 9.73 kg/m3, about 8 times the density of the
Earth s atmosphere at sea level, 1.217 kg/m3. Some of the Chemical Properties of

The Divine Comedy In Dante s Inferno
The Divine Comedy acknowledged as Dante s Inferno was written in the 14th
century and is an epic poem with allegorical value. Dante the Pilgrim is 35 years
old and he was midway along the journey of our life (TEXTBOOK). Dante the
pilgrim is lost in the dark wood, where he meets his guide named Virgil and he
escorts Dante through the nine circles of hell. Virgilsymbolizes human reason and
wisdom. In the beginning, Dante was sympathetic for all of the people he saw
suffering in hell, but as time goes by and as Dante gets deeper into hell, he realizes
that the suffering people are getting what they deserve. Dante the Pilgrim grow as a
character thought the story The first circle of hell is Limbo and this is where it is a
place of sorrow without torment (Dante s Inferno1). The virtuous non Christians and
unbaptized infants reside in this circle. These people are not saved, but they did
not sin. They are punished by being forced to live for eternity in an inferior version
of Heaven. They are living in a castle that has seven gates. They represent the seven
virtues. Dante sees many famous people of the past like Homer, Socrates, Aristotle,
Cicero, Hippocrates and Julius Caesar (9 Circles of Hell). He has the upmost respect
for these public figures.
In the second circle of hell is where those who committed lustful acts are punished.
They are penalized by being blown violently back and forth by extremely powerful
wind. This wind does not allow the inhabitants to find
The Criticism Of Identity Politics Is Racist Or Long
Overdue
Five journalists writing for the New York Times debate, or rather discuss, the
question of whether the criticism of identity politics is racist or long overdue.
Identity politics is the `ideological tool used by those tired of the more traditional
approaches to political sidings. Rather they form their views around a particular
identity or trait that they share. The idea being that individuals sharing that trait are
subjected to the same biases, disenfranchisement, or discrimination. A prime
opportunity for adherents to this type of worldview has arisen this year in the
election of Donald Trumpas president. It is easy to imagine how a Mexican American
or African American could feel distinctly ostracized by the Trump campaign.
However, the concept is not new by any means. The term first gained a footing during
the Civil Rights era and was used to bring attention to minoritygroups seeking
representation. Staff writer for the conservative magazine National Review, David
French expresses the frustration of many Americans with the constant scourge of
progressive orthodoxy coming from the P.C. crowd. According to French, a great
attraction to Trump is his rejection of political correctness of any kind, not a
particular stance on any issue. Right leaning voters seem to feel unfairly clumped in
to Hillary s Basket of Deplorables along with the neo Nazis and alt right supremacists
that find him so appealing. The reality of the matter is that most Trump supporters
A Clean Well-Lighted Place By Ernest Hemmingway
A Clean Well Lighted Place by Ernest Hemmingway brings to light how youth makes
us ignorant of the true value of time. Written almost 100 years ago, there is still much
relevance in how young adults view their time as superior to others and how they are
more concerned about convenience for themselves than others around them,
preferring to get as much done in as little timepossible, even at the sake of the
feelings of others.
What is an hour? More to me than to him. (Hemmingway 155). The convenience
for one s self is put above that of others in many young adults. It is stated earlier in
A Clean Well Lighted Place that the old man prefers to come out enjoying the
quiet, possibly because he does not feel as though he is missing out on the world
that he can t hear around him. However, the young waiter would rather be sleeping.
What is more convenient and enjoyable for the old man is an inconvenience and a
nuisance to the young waiter, who is being compensated for his time. The young
waiter goes so far as to force the old man ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I wouldn t want to be that old. An old man is a nasty thing. (Hemmingway 154).
This younger waiter believes that once a certain point in life is achieved it is not
worth staying alive, even though there may be many more years left in life. In his
ignorance he goes as far as telling the old man he should have killed himself.
Though it is not stated directly in the story, the overall tone gives the impression
that the waiter believes if the old man had succeeded in killing himself the week
prior, the waiter could be going home at a decent time that night. He lacks empathy
for the pain the old man must have been experiencing the week before when he
attempted suicide. Instead of giving some of his time to talk to the old man about
the suicide attempt or allow him a safe place to be at night, he cuts him off and
forces him to leave. Simply because the waiter does not care for the elderly or their
Individual Identity In Toni Morrison s Song Of Solomon
Toni Morrison, in the Song of Solomon, utilizes the formation of the individual
identity for Guitar and Pilate to represent the difficulty of defining black identity
during a time of drastic change. At the time period leading up to the civil rights
movement, a divide arises within the black community: a Southern set of beliefs that
revolve around forgiveness and care pitted against a Northern set of beliefs that
revolve around progressive ideas and vindictiveness. Pilate and Guitar are presented
as foils; they represent, through the formation of their own identity, how even though
two individuals grow up dealing with very similar circumstances, they still go on to
become different persons due to the immediate environment in which they grow...

Pilate is seen as a caring figure in the community through her attempt at preventing
others from suffering injustice. For example, she is known to help mend fighting,
and to [mediate] a peace that [lasts] a good bit longer than it should (Morrison,
150); this stems from the fact the in her younger days, Pilate rarely knew
compassion and she was always ostracized due to her navel. Nonetheless, she
eventually learns to accept her condition and to start looking to the past and
synthesize it with the present (Smith, 729). This method of adapting the past and
retaining the good from it and applying it to the present allows Pilate to be unlike
most people who face tribulations; Pilate frees herself from hate and only allows
love to prosper and as a result, her love is unconditional. Pilate transforms hateful
actions against her by others into love and does not let her emotions tarnish her
beliefs and how she lives. After Guitar and Milkman steal the bag of bones from
Pilate s house and are arrested, Pilate goes to the jail and makes up a backstory and
pretends to be clueless about what happened and who they are in order to let them go
free (Morrison, 205, 209). The fact that Pilate lets the boys go without any hardship,
Art Movement After World War I
According to the Visual Art Encyclopedia, Surrealism sprang up in Paris and
became rooted in the avant garde art world. Surrealism was the fashionable art
movement after World War I. Surrealism is and the last major art movement to be
associated with the Ecole de Paris. The writer Andre Breton (1896 1966), nicknamed
the Pope of Surrealism , was the movement s founder and chief theorist. He
introduced and defined the new style in his initial 1924 manifesto (Manifeste du
Surrealisme) and later in his painting bulletin (Surrealisme et la Peinture). Breton
deplored the radical and destructive character of Dada, nevertheless he built on many
Dada ideas to create a movement with a coherent though unbending philosophy. He
aimed at nothing less than a total conversion of the way people thought. Surrealism
was less overtly political and advocated a more positive philosophy. The main focus
of the surrealism movement was literature but this rapidly broadened to painting,
sculpture and other forms of contemporary visual art. Surrealist strived to bring
forward the imagery of the unconscious mind. Surrealist philosophy believed that
nongovernmental and irrational art were preferable for life and civilization.
Surrealism was responsible for a host of incredibly innovative but strange art.
Surrealism was meant to free the unconscious mind from reason. Breton and other
surrealists were strongly influenced by the psychological work of Sigmund Freud

Plot in Their Eyes Were Watching God by Hurston Zora
All of this takes place in a rural town of West Florida called Eatonville in the early
twentieth century. I was amazed at the story, symbols and images that this novel
creates. The symbolism and metaphorical language used also brought interest and
an urge to want to read more. In the novel Their eyes were watching God by
Hurston Zora, Janie Crawford is a black middle aged woman who has an intriguing
story to tell. She has been away from her home town for few years and comes back
to be welcomed by harsh and barely near factual gossip and criticism. In life,
criticism is inevitable like death, whether it s positive or negative. What I found
interesting is how Janie brushes off and takes no offense to the harsh gossip from
her neighbors when she returned. The reason for that is because Janie left and
found herself, she has lived life, got married a couple of times and know what life
is outside of her town. She knew what love was and also knew what it felt like to
be happy and hurt. Janie Crawford experienced things that any of the females who
gossiped about her hasn t. The story of her life begins to unfold as she sits with
Phoebe Watson, her friend for decades that brought her some mullato rice. I think
Phoebe shows signs of hypocrisy because although she defended Janie when the
other women spoke badly about her, prior to Janie s arrival she accompanied these
women daily as they gossiped about other people. Sheep don t stay in the presence

The Role Of Rivers In America
Rivers are very important as they drive the economy of the country in America.
Almost any activity is undertaken in America; rivers play a role. Rivers offers
habitat to aquatic animals and plants, the source of water for irrigation and drinking,
and other activities in the society. The rate, at which the water in the rivers reduces,
is a worrying situation, especially in the current society. What is more interesting in
this article is the rate at which humans engage in various activities which leads to the
problem of diminishing rivers. Most of the causes of the problems experienced in the
riverboundaries are caused by encroachment of humans engaging in various
developmental activities in the society. Humans alter the river flows and boundaries

Rise Up By Andra Day Analysis
The first lines of Rise Up by Andra Day say You re broken down and tired, of livin
life on the merry go round . These first couple of lines drew my attention because at
the moment, I feel like I m living the same thing over and over again. It s the same
thing every day. Go to school, get good grades, go to the studio, do homework until
midnight, get 6 or 7 hours of sleep, then wake up and do everything over again. The
next couple of lines say And you can t find the fighter, but I see it in you so we re
gonna walk it out and move mountains. These words made me think about
everything differently. This year I ve been under a lot of stress pertaining to grades,
SATs, scholarships, and applications. Sometimes I don t know how I m going to fit
everything in. There s just not enough time in a day. I realized that over time, once I
get everything done, I will be going to college and then maybe change the world
afterwards.
Advantages Of A Toaster Oven
We have all had days where we just want one little piece of toast browned to
perfection and not have to turn on an entire oven and heat up the whole kitchen in
the process. Or the times when you have a house full coming over, and it seems as
if you need just more oven rack to bake the rolls on or to keep a dish warm while
the meat finishes up cooking. Or perhaps, it is a summer evening and a pizza sounds
amazing except the kitchen is still blazing from a record setting heatwave blasting
through, and the last thing you want to do is generate more heat in your home.
The list of examples could go on and on as to why a toaster oven is an extremely

choose, though, the majority come with a perfectly sized pan to fit inside the
oven, so you can place most of your cooking items on it rather than directly on the

the ultimate taste. Brick inserts can make the food taste as if it has come from a
Marketing Plan For Whole Foods Essay
A.Current Performance Whole Foods Market is the leading natural and organic
foods supermarket. They are the first national certified organic grocery store. 2015
might have been the worst year in the history of Whole Foods Market. Comparable
sales had declined for the first time since the recession. There was a humiliating
scandal involving mislabeled weights and prices, and the attacks from rivals
Kroger Inc., Costco Wholesale and Trader Joe s only seemed to increase. This
resulted in Whole Foods shared price plummeting 36%. This was a decline that
would have been worse had a late year buyout rumor no circulated. Whole Foods
had diminished this rumor. Moving into 2016, there seemed to be a reason to be
optimistic even with the descending momentum and flat comparable sales forecast.
In 2016, Whole Foods debut the 365 chain. This was really a jump start for Whole

Facilitating Change in Health and Social Care Essay
Introduction
This essay seeks to discuss the factors that facilitate change in health and social
care. This can be achieved by assessing the challenges that the major factors of
change bring using the Care Quality Commission of the Quality Care Commission
for the Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust (RUHB). The second task aims to
evaluate contemporary changes being inaugurated in the provision of health and
social care services. In addition to this, a strategy and criteria will be devised in

The NHS Operating Framework introduced by the coalition government sets out the
planning and financial requirements for RUHB in 2012/13 and the basis of their
accountability (DH, 2012). As a result, the 2013 certified that funding for health in
England be frozen for up 2015/16 thereby requiring RUBH to underspend allocated
funding from the government such as putting a 1% cap on pay award. Socially, this
will include factors such as behavior of staff and service users, partnership working,
quality of care, etc. These factors can drive change in diverse ways in the RUHB. For
example, the NICE Guidelines on Behavior Change make recommendations on
individual level behavior interventions that is aimed at changing the behavior that can
be dangerous to the health of staff and service users such as smoking, alcohol abuse,
lack of physical activity, safe sex, etc. (NICE, 2014). Technologically, the introduction
of information communication technology has resulted in faster communication,
appropriate storing and sharing of information and records of service users between
health and social care professionals. As a result of the CQC inspection, the RUHB
revises their health records management policy to more accurately reflect where
information about service user such as fluid intake and output in each ward should
be recorded (CQC Report, 2013)

Every year you still march down that street with that stupid proud expression on
your face, you glorify the bloody wastefulness of that day? ? Act 2, Scene 3, The
One Day of the Year. Hughie (the son of the war veteran with the controversial ideas
about the meaning of Anzac day) mentions about the mistake that cost sixty
thousand lives. The Anzacs were expecting to battle on large plains and were
trained to do so. Instead of finding the flat beach they expected, they found they had
been landed at an incorrect position and faced the steep cliffs of the Turkish
Peninsula constantly under fire from above as they strived to entrench themselves at
the base of the cliff. They faced a well organised, well armed, large Turkish force
determined to defend their country.
Every year on the 25th of April Australia commemorates this mistake. It is
remembered like it was a victory but to many it is viewed as a waste of good men,
young and old who died, sacrificing everything for there country. The Soldiers who
fought for their countries should in some people?s opinion be viewed as heroes.
They risked their life for the freedom of their country. Some believe that the battle at
Gallipoli was not Australia?s war and that we were invading someone else?s
countries for another countries cause. But what bravery the young soldiers showed
to do so. To represent their country and fight in a battle against seemingly impossible
odds, and die, and lose
Descriptive Essay On A Car
I woke up hearing the infuriating and pulsating ring of my alarm. I checked the
calendar, another Sunday, just like any other hunting day. I assembled my
weapons into my old black duffle bag; a silenced handgun, a military grade pocket
knife and my SR 25 sniper rifle. Wearing a pair of ripped jeans as faded as erased
blue pencil markings and a grey hoodie that hugged every crevice of my muscular
torso, I headed out to my old black pickup truck. Throwing the duffle bag into the

order to put a stop to it. Although bean bags were shot rather than live ammunition,
apparently the Colonel had given orders to aim at the head periodically (calling it
an accident), especially when prisoners (or animals, as the Colonel called them
often) were killed. This type of leadership is in line with Machiavelli s, pg. 4,
assumed view of human nature in the prison, that human beings are essentially evil...
as the prisoners/animals were evil. Also, I compared this accidental killing of
prisoners in The Castle like the beginning of Sun Tzu. Sun Tzu killed the King s two
favorite concubines because they failed to follow orders. Just like the Colonel gave
orders a second time before commanding the marksman to shoot, Sun Tzu gave the
orders a second time before he killed the concubines. When the orders have been
made clear, and are not carried out in accordance with military law, it is a
Values Of Family Centered Values
Family centered principles help professionals recognize that family is the constant in
the child s life and the most crucial source of information about the child.
Professionals are required to collaborate with families and share, what is going on
with their child and how they are progressing in the program. Some values that my
familycentered practice will reflect is working with the family to ensure that they
are comfortable with all the decisions being made. In Janice Fialka s, What Matters,
she describes the case conferences she had for Micah and how she wanted more
from the EI team. She states, I wanted something from the professionals other than
their careful assessments and necessary labels. I knew they cared. [...] But I wanted
more from them or something different than what felt like a firing of labels. (Fialka
1997). I don t wantany family that I work with to feel how Janice felt in that
conference. I want to ensure that they not bombarded with labels and let them digest
what is happening and give them a moment to comprehend all that going on.
Engaging, motiving and partnering with families throughout the decision and goal
making process is a very important value to family centered practice. Collaboration is
the cornerstone of effective early childhoodspecial education. (Sandall Schwartz
2008). I value and respect the collaborative approach that Sandall and Schwartz
apply in their book, Building Blocks for Teaching Preschoolers with Special Needs.

The Effect of Colors on Mood
THE EFFECT OF COLORS ON MOOD
Introduction
Got the blues. Green eyed monster. Seeing Red. These are all phrases that we hear
often. Do different colors really affect our moods? Many studies have shown that
some colors make us feel calm, some make us feel anxious, and others may make us
feel more cheerful. Let s take a look at some colors, their affect on us, their meanings,
and some different views in other cultures.
The Effect of Colors on Mood
Colors and moods: A powerful mood altering tool
Our moods can be greatly influenced by the visual cues of colors. Our mood can be
influenced by our perception of color. Colors can conjure up many feeling and
emotions. Following is just a few examples:
The Culture of Colors
Colors often have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Doctors and nurses wear white to imply sterility. A white flag is a universal symbol
for truce. Angels are usually shown wearing white robes.
The ancient Egyptian pharaohs wore white crowns and the ancient Persians believed
all gods wore white. In China and Japan, white is the color for mourning.
Pink
Pink is the most romantic color and is more tranquilizing. Sports teams have been
known to pain the locker rooms to be used by their opposing team bright pink so
their opponents will lose energy.
Purple
Purple brings to mind royalty, luxury, wealth, and sophistication. It is also feminine
and romantic. Purple robes are an emblem of authority and rank. Purple in a child s
room is said to help develop the imagination according to color theory.
In Thailand, purple is work by a widow mourning her husband s death.
Conclusion
Like death and taxes, there is no escaping color. Color can be a powerful mood
altering tool if make an effort to learn of its influence on us. We can be calmed,
uplifted, angered, refreshed, even feel more romantic, all by color. The next time
you select an outfit, paint a room, or buy a car, keep in mind the many ways our

The Role Of Chemical Reactions And Electricity And
Centers...
Electrochemistry, a branch of physical chemistry, is the study of the relationship
between chemical reactions and electricity and centers upon the interrelation of
chemical energy and electrical energy. Contributing to such crucial technological
developments as the invention of batteries and fuel cells, corrosion protection and the
study of metallurgy, electrochemistryis credited with a great deal of real life
applications and has had widespread impact on mankind. One of the most common
and fundamental applications of electrochemistry is producing an electric current
from a spontaneous redox reaction through the help of a device called the
electrochemical cell. For example, if zinc metal is dropped into an aqueous solution
of copper ion... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The electrode placed with the reducing agent is called anode, while the one placed
with the oxidizing agent is called cathode. In this case, a strip of zinc metal should
be placed in a solution of zinc nitrate and a strip of copper metal should be placed
with copper nitrate. As the anode frees electrons where oxidation takes place, the
electrons enter an electricity conducting wire and travel to the cathode where
reduction takes place, thereby creating electrical energy. In the meantime of this
process, a positive charge and a negative charge accumulate in the oxidation and
reduction vessel respectively, due to the transfer of electrons. Since electrons do
not have a propensity to travel from a positively charged region to a negatively
charged region, a salt bridge containing a cation and an anion that do not play a role
in the redox reaction, is required to keep this system operating. An U shaped tube
connecting the vessels, the salt bridge releases its cations to the reduction vessel and
its anions to the oxidation vessel to maintain the charge neutral. As scientific as this
explanation may seem, battery, a ubiquitous product, is modeled after this cell
system. A common example of an electrochemical cell is a standard 1.5 volt battery
meant for consumer use .[ Electrochemistry. Wikipedia. Accessed January 21, 2016.
Censorship And Censorship Of Web Content
Censoring the web
Module code: COIS40897
Student number: 14020070
Submission deadline: 23:59 on Monday, 3rd November 2014.
Abstract
This paper evaluates the restrictions, or lack of restrictions, on web content,
focusing on the political and ethical notions of the censorship of web content. The
question on many people s minds is: Should the web be censored? This author
believes it is the sole responsibility of the user, to protect themselves from un
desirable material on the web. However when it comes to child abuse, and similar
atrocities, more should be done to eliminate and block such material.

This move to censor pornography has just intentions, but this author believes that
censorship in this manner should be the responsibility of parents. Perhaps there
should be an alternative, such as, equipping parents with the tools to control their
own data consumption and block access to the content they do not wish, or do not
want their children, to have access to. Some people may wish to access adult content,
whilst denying their children access to it. Without the knowledge of self web
regulation, they would not be able to access adult content, without the risk of
exposing their children to it.
The points made by the Prime Minister (as stated above), about protecting children
from the dark online world, are completely justified. The online world can have an
adverse influence on children. According to the NSPCC:
Graphic images and scenes can be very disturbing to children and cause a lot of
distress. In 2012 13 ChildLine received 475 calls from young people who d been
affected in this way.
NSPCC 2013.
Adult material can cause mental scars in some children, whereas others, after
consuming pornography, now have a twisted view on reality:
Pornography has Influence on attitudes of some children, towards reality. Children
who watch online porn can believe that it gives a
How Is Soma Used In Brave New World
When reading the novel, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, it is unmistakably
evident that the use of stimulants (soma) is the leading source of the society s
happiness. Drugs and medicine are used in both societies in many comparable and
contrasting ways. Our soma takes a different form than it does in Brave New World,
but a lot of the results are the same. The most common similarity between the use
of drugs in the two societies is the purpose of the drug is use. This motive is for
escaping reality. In Brave New World, all citizens in the society take soma
whenever they are stressed or emotional. This medication keeps all negative
thoughts off a person s mind, basically creating a blindness to everything around
them that is corrupt. Linda, one of the characters in the book who was from the
Brave New World but lived with the savages, shows a little bit of how soma is
used in today s society when she becomes alcohol dependent. When she no longer
had access to soma, she turned to alcohol (also referred to as mescal in the novel)
as an escape from all the atrocious things she had to experience at the savage
reservation (Brave New World 125). In today s society people, especially young
people, use alcohol and other drugs to mask the unhappiness they have in their lives.

Why Misunderstanding Occurs Will Help Improve Our...
People communicate for more meaning than only for the words spoken. Sometimes
what we intended to say is not what the other person undersrands. By understanding
why misunderstanding occurs will help to improve our communication skills in or
prevent this from happening again (Managing and managing people, 2011a). The
three approaches by John Austin (1962) who established the concept of using
language as a speech act which help in identify the differences between what the
speaker intended to say, the literary meaning of the speaker as well as how what was
said was received by the speaker. (Managing and managing people, 2011b).

According to McLaughlin et al, (2008), the distance in proximity between people
affects people s levels of comfort and can cause anxiety.
Fear and lack of trust are among the most typical barriers to effective communication.
People can be hesitant to communicate in particular their thoughts as well as their
feelings for fear of being criticised, getting negative reactions, or getting an angry
response. if people lack trust they might be hesitant to communicate, not just their
feelings and thoughts, but any ideas they might have. For example, the situation
was hugely affected by the service user s current emotions which involved her
family members constantly shouting and criticising her. She appeared nervous and
anxious especially whenever one of her parents came into the kitchen. It was
evident that she was not listening actively to what was being said. To be able to
listen actively the listener is required to be attentive (Jones, 2009; Smith, 2010; Xue,
2009). The service user was distracted and was not as attentive as when it was just
the two of us in the room.
Interpersonal barriers, otherwise referred to as personality clashes occur when
relationships between individuals are weak and not hamonial . As a result of this the
confidence and mutual trust in one another is low, therefore leading to emotional
barriers set out above (Managing and managing people, 2011c).In the intervention this

Pros And Cons Of Rizal
Bayot, Jezza, B.
SS14 A1 Retraction Controversy
On Dr. Jose Rizal s day of execution, many supposition circulated about him
revoking his words and his actions. This issue became a long term debate from then
on until now. Some people profess that Jose Rizal retracted while others assert that
he did not. This controversy cannot be ignored especially that we are talking about
a man who has been recognized as the national hero of the country. One of the
definitions of a hero and also my definition, is a person who is willing to die for the
sake of others while a national hero is a person willing to die for the country, the
point is if Rizal s retraction papers were true, it only proves that he could not die for
our country and I would be disappointed that he was declared as our national hero.
According to my research, the person behind Rizal s retraction papers was ... Show

Rizal ask forgiveness to his father for the pain that Jose Rizal pays his father after
giving him education while Jose Rizal told his brother that he will die with a clean
conscience. With these information, it proves that Jose Rizal is not afraid to die and
had accepted the truth that he will come to an end.
In the modern time, several investigations occur, analyzing if the retraction papers
of Jose Rizal were valid. Ricardo Pascual who studied many documents of Rizal
claimed that the retraction letter was not written by Jose Rizal. Famous personalities
like Senator Rafael Palma believe that Jose Rizal I has a mature personality and
retraction is not Jose Rizal s thing.
After my research, I clearly know what side am I on. I believe that Dr. Jose Rizal did
not retract. Jose Rizal wanted to retract is because he wanted to marry Josephine
Bracken but there are no proof, no certificates and witnesses. Dona Trining cleared
out that Jose Rizal did not marry Bracken and Jose Rizal had never spoken about
marriage to his
Sandra Cisneros, Fredrick Douglass, And Malcolm X
I hate the fact of knowing that the only way for someone to mentally escape can
bring evilness into their eyes. Why is it that that happens? Why is our only escape
the way that can bruise us the most? Don t you hate when you hold a passion for
something and everyone around you disapproves of the fact. It s like you re
holding onto the last string but in reality nobody is at the other end, you re all
alone. You are fighting for yourself. You are pushing yourself, 7.5 billion people in

Little do you know the two men, Fredrick Douglass and Malcolm X, died climbing
that mountain, they died breaking those chains, the died striving for the
maximum. Nobody believed these three people; Sandra Cisneros, Fredrick
Douglass, and Malcolm X; had the gift in the beautiful words they wrote. The
words that influenced others to strive for the maximum that they were never able
to even see. Their words allowed others to break free from the chains, it allowed
them to climb to the top of the mountain that nobody believed they could reach. We
are always given the negative, why are we always fed the negative? We crave the
attention, we crave the fact of knowing someone being there to guide and help us.
In a sense, everything I have written has been for him, to win his approval even
though I know my father can t read English words,... . This was a quote from
Sandra Cisneros piece, Only Daughter, she craved the attention and approval of her
father, that was never given. From this time I was narrowly watched. If I was in a
separate room any considerable length of time, I was sure to be suspected of
having a book, and was at once called to give an account of myself. All this,
however, was too late. The first step had been taken. Mistress, in teaching me the
alphabet, had given me the inch, and no precaution could prevent me from taking the

The Vampire in Folklore vs the Vampire in Literature
The vampire, from folklore to literature is described as a dead person that awakens
in the night to suck the blood out of the living . (Bartlett, pg 1) The evolution of
the vampire itself has seen drastic changes from the time of the vampire in
folklore; where he was seen as a scapegoat, being the cause of the plagues and had to
be killed to restore a healthy civilization to, Bram Stocker s literary vampire; where
the vampire had become the heroic figure and had to be blamed for all the victims
that had past. Both of these are based on the Penguin English definition of a vampire
but how is it that the vampire today has changed so drastically from the one people
feared in legends and folklore. One can say that the vampire in literature has... Show

Throughout the story of Lord Byron, we find out later on that he is a vampire and
that he has very much so human characteristics. Edward is the same since he tends
to have human emotions for a girl. Carol A. Sanf sais so herself when making this
statement . twentieth century writers and directors often portray the vampire as a
more sympathetic character than he had been in either folklore or literature. (Senf,
pg 3) Although Lord Byron might not have shown sympathetic emotions, we see
him as the hero because he tries to resolve the conflicts that have arose throughout
the story. The movie Twilight does this even more by making Edward fight his
superiors for a girl he has feelings for.
Lastly we have noticed that the vampire in movies often starts to have feelings for a
girl that has become more than sexual attention. The Lilith from Stu Burns A short
history of vampire folklore is seen as a demon that has sex with men before eating
the flesh out of them. These characteristics are very familiar in folklore because
vampires would often show sexual attention before eating their victims. In the 20th
century vampire, we see him has having emotions for his victim and wanting to turn
his victim into a vampire as well so that they can live happily together. Just like in
Twilight, in Softly While You re sleeping by Evelyn E. Smith the vampire
Effects Of Overmedication On Society
Overmedication? The Impact on American SocietyIn recent years, studies have
shown that over medication has become prevalent in America. Overmedication is
when a patient uses unnecessary or excessive amounts of medication.
Unfortunately, a large number of people have died from over medication. This is
caused by doctors or specialists prescribing too much medication to their patients,
or by people taking too much medication to ease their pain without precaution. This
not only affects a person physically but also mentally. If a person feels that
medication is the only helping them, then they will keep taking those pills,
resulting in the destruction of the body and mind. Plus millions of dollars are
spent on prescription pills, which is another reason why there is so much over
medication. Overmedication in America has a negative impact on society, which
is leading to physical and mental damages. Overmedication is starting to take over
the lives of children, due to being diagnosed with disorders and diseases. Since
more disorders are being discovered, this leads towards more medication that has to
be prescribed. More than 6 million children are diagnosed with hyperactiveness
such as ADHD, and 2 million of those children are between the age of 2 6. This
leads to doctors prescribing these children stimulants such as Adderall or Ritalin to
calm them down (Cha). More than 75% of children are receiving pills as treatment
(Cha). These pills are suppose to help them in
Analysis Of The Book Snow White Sorrow
Have you ever thought about the monsters, the monsters that live inside us, the
monsters that no one can see? What would happen if those monsters became real?
What if they weren t just inside us, but shown on the outside? I mean after all, All
monsters must die except the beautiful ones, as Cameron Jace states in his book,
Snow White Sorrow. This day, we tell the story of a world where the monsters were
on the outside of us, a story that could have changed the course of humanity as we
know it.

tuning out the people who were teasing her. I mean, after all, she is the last one of
her kind. We learned about her kind in history, how much they did for our world,
but how much havoc and pain they brought upon each other. I could say the same
about our kind. She was guarded by our town s museum of history, until earlier this
year when they realized that they can t cage her in like an animal or keep her calm

help her get out. She stabbed two of the guards, and one ran out calling to get help
containing her. Her parents were both like us, but she was stillborn. A lot of people
refer to her as the last monster on this planet.

one kid would just walk by smiling, not saying a word, the same kid every morning.

The ground began to shake, the clouds rumbled. And as the high priest came to

those around him. This inky blackness formed around me, and the substance
moved like water mixing with oil. Suspended in the air, lightning shot from my

the eternal flame and absorbed it. Words I didn t understand began to leave my

  • 2. Devil Wears Prada Essay Quotes Devil Wears Prada Devil Wears Prada is a story of a protagonist, Andrea Sachs and her occupational journey of trying to balance her profession and her social life. Andrea or known as Andy, has graduated and is hoping for a job as a journalist. Despite her dreams of becoming a journalist she receives a job at a fashion magazine known as Runway magazine as an assistant for Miranda Priestly. Throughout the movie, Andy had to balance her social life and her career pursuit where Miranda had given her many problematic tasks that Andy had to complete. In the workplace, there will be a wide variety of instances where you will work hard to complete a task, without receiving any recognition. Three instances where Andy completed a difficult task... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The task of attaining the manuscript was the breaking point of Andy s workplace, however as she received the manuscript Andy felt relieved. After getting the manuscript, Miranda was astonished and started to show Andy respect. After the completion of this task, Andy had responded in a respectful manner as she answered Miranda s questions about the manuscript. This was quite humble of Andy as she achieved an impossible task and still spoke to Miranda in a kind demeanor. If I was in Andy s shoes I would not do things differently as Miranda is her boss and is willing to fire Andy. Considering this, I would respond to Miranda in the same way Andy did as her job is on stake. It is evident that this task was difficult and a burden for Andy. Another instance where Andy had to complete a difficult task was memorizing a protracted list of names for the fashion extravaganza. They had to tell the names of the guests to Miranda as they approached her. This task was difficult as she had to memorize all these names by midnight. In one instance, Andy saved Emily as she forgot the name of one of the guests and Andy whispered the name into Miranda s ear. Miranda s reaction of this was slightly thankful however mostly neutral. Emily had a different reaction and was impressed at Andy s work. Andy responded with a slight nudge and smiled as Emily thanked her. I agree with how Andy responded as she didn t celebrate that she did something correct and was quite

Also, Chang and Halliday highlighted that the chairman immensely wanted power by contacting Soviet Union s leader, Joseph Stalin. Gaining support and approval from Soviet Union would help establishing Chairman Mao s rank among the Chinese regime. Although, Mao was not the only individual that Joseph Stalin worked with. Based on the information, Mao Zedong noticed a huge opportunity that could boost up his position that the authors emphasized. Jung Chang and Jon Halliday depicted China s chairman as pitiless leader that was behind the majority of the slaughters under his rule. • 6. Descriptive Essay On Destitute Beauty Destitute Beauty In the large city of New York, there are many beautiful people. I am not one of them. I can pass hours away sitting in a coffee shop in a tall seat next to the window, watching the beauties pass, seeing my reflection against them even more bloated and lumpy than normal. Some of them notice me. Most of them don t. It doesn t matter. Like I said, New York is a large city, I ll never see them again. And anyway, I m sure they re used to people staring. How could they not be, they draw people with their large, black rimmed eyes and lean figures and cutting jawbones like dogs to the enticing smell of meat. I am just another dog, one they will forget in moments. And when the sun sets, and the beautiful people fade away and the crowd becomes faceless and intoxicated, that s when I leave, and where I stay until the sun rises, becoming one with the pulse and throb of the mass. Promising myself that the next day, yes, the next day, I ll get a job, ignore the cold, gorgeous people, succeed even with my lumps, and papery skin, and eyes that are just a little too far apart. And the next day, with my headache, I return. Today is yesterday and the day before. The sun is especially bright now, almost passive aggressively bright, shining smugly through the haze that buries the city, bouncing into the small cafe in which I spend most of my time. It s supposed to be homey, with nearly dead plants hanging skeletal by the windows and overstuffed couches near a coffee table. I sit in the uncomfortable seat that s almost comically tall, at the only table next to a window. The barista Ellen is chatting happily with a customer, she barely notices me anymore. Which is fine by me. A woman, with long legs and hollows under her cheekbones, struts past the cafГ©, a mere foot away from me. She doesn t notice my stare. It s a funny thing. People talk all they want about feeling when people stare at them, getting goosebumps and looking around frantically for their admirer. But either it isn t true, or I m not important enough for my stare to mean anything, hold any weight. Searching through the crowd, I find parts and pieces that I want most, playing a game I often play. Her taut stomach, her long legs, her bright eyes,

  • 8. Medical Assistants On Becoming A Registered Nurse Do you think there are more medical assistants (MA) then registered nurses (RN)? Do you think they are capable of doing the same job? I will tell you everything you need to know about MAs and RNs. First off I would like to say that I am a medical assistant and I have been since 2007, I enjoy my job and the people I work with. I think I have outgrown my profession, now I m looking to advance and work on becoming a registered nurse. Medical assistants and registered nurses both work in a medical setting, and they make sure patients are comfortable and cared for. They both are relied on for the smooth operation of a medical setting. Both occupations assist physicians and nurse practitioners, and they are referred to as nurses. Although, they are both called nurses they do not share the same credentials. Medical assistants can perform several tasks under a physician s supervision, but they are not permitted to perform procedures on a patient. Registered Nurses can perform several tasks as well and procedures without supervision. Being a medical assistant involves being able to perform both clerical and clinical tasks. Clerical jobs include typing and answering phones and clinical involve more jobs like a nurse. Medical Assistants (MAs) help physicians by taking vital signs, interviewing patients, ordering supplies, and keeping records. They also may authorize drug refills as directed by a physician and telephone prescriptions to a pharmacy. They may also perform lab tests and
  • 9. Divorce In The Puritan Age Essay Divorce in the Puritan age In the Old Testament of the Bible, divorce by definition is the termination of marriage caused by sin that entered the world ( Divorce. ). The Old Testament, along with the overall sovereignty of God, were the roots of Puritan living. Malachi 2:16 says that For I, the God of Israel, hate divorce. ( Divorce. ). Marriage was known as a sacred contract tied profoundly with God. With this being said, the Puritans heavily frowned upon divorce. It was a shameful act, although permissible when under certain circumstances. Due to its adverse reputation, divorce was not widely practiced throughout the Puritan era (Smith). However, it was not classified directly as a sin itself (Smith). Divorce was rather the product of one s sin; often blamed towards one party rather than both. In the early Puritan days divorce was only allowed under certain conditions. Such circumstances include death, adultery, false contract, neglect and violence, desertion, and failure to provide (Smith). With adultery, neglect and desertion, only the innocent party is free to remarry (Webster). Divorce was a means of keeping family safe and social order intact (Smith). His work was based on the Old Testament as well, however offered a new standing point on things. He claimed that when apparent unfitness may be seen in a marriage, the continuation of man and wife is a form of going against God (Webster). Incompatibility and irreconcilable differences were added to the list of suitable reasons for separation in the late Puritan days
  • 10. Analysis Of The Book French Photography 1800-1960 The Barnes Foundation s newest exhibition, French Photography 1800 1960, is a collection of photographs that encapsulates life in France during the 19th and 20th centuries. The exhibit features photographs by artists including Ilse Bing, Brassai, and Henri Cartier Bresson. Entering into the exhibit is like taking a trip through time; depending on if you turn left or right at the entrance to the exhibit, you can travel forward through time from the early to the mid 1900s or you can travel backwards. The exhibit is organized by eight different periods and the attitudes that were most prevalent during them. The categories are: Parisand Environs, Street Life, Commerce, Labor, Leisure, Reportage, Celebrity, and Art for Art s Sake. The exhibit is an enlightening trip through time, highlighting the glamorable life in France in the 19th and 20th centuries, bringing to life artistic movements, culminating in the final intersection of cubism and photography, Brassai s piece Transmutation: Girl Dreaming being perhaps the brightest star in the collection. Unlike other exhibits in the Barnes, French Photography is unique in its medium. Photographs are fresh and different from the Barnes usual paintings. It is also different in the Barnes treatment of the pieces. Main installments at the Barnes are hung on the walls as if they were in someone s living room but a black line drawn through every room prevents any viewer from getting to close to the works of art. However, the photographs

  • 12. Challenging Comparative Advantage Essay Comparative advantage is a principle developed by David Ricardo in the early 19th century to explain the benefits of mutual trade (Carbaugh, 2008). Many underlying assumptions of comparative advantage depend on states of economic equilibrium and an absence of economy of scale. In reality, economies are dynamic and subject to innovation and interference; which has led to revised assumptions of return and competition (Krugman, 1987). These factors have created questions of free trade and governmental participation in an economy by the development of strategic trade policies. These new concepts do not replace the theory of comparative advantage; however, they further explain how trade can benefit a country s economy (Krugman, 1987).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Manufacturing adjusts to meet a constant return on the product (Hunt Morgan, 1995). Effectively, these theories rely on national monopolistic models to explain comparative advantage (Ossa, n.d.). While the standard of comparative advantage explains why trade can exist between countries, the assumptions do not account for conditions of increasing returns and imperfect competition. A Dynamic Economy The principle of comparative advantage provides a simplified theory explaining why free trade is possible, even when one country has an economic disadvantage. Both the Ricardian and Heckscher Ohlin theories rely on fixed economic assumptions of constant return and perfect competition. However, intuitively the basic principle of business is to increase returns through innovation, improving processes and technology or increasing economies of scale. Organizations understand they control pricing and are price setters, rather than price takers as suggested by perfect competition (Krugman Obstfeld, 2003). The idea of increasing returns and imperfect competition challenge the foundations of comparative advantage. Increasing returns are the natural outcome of decreasing output costs and have external and internal factors which influence economies of scale (Ossa, n.d.). And I was pretty good to keep it until when I just finished the Journal #2. Most of them are going pretty well still now too but recently I have something wrong on my diet again. Even if I did not plan such a big thing, to keep everything that I planned was a little difficult because I had been having the unhealthy diet for a pretty long time which means it takes time to change my old habits. I just realized that I am getting to return to my old habit and I have to plan again to improve it. Challenges I realized that I am getting to return to my old diet habits and I was thinking about what cause that. And I think the reason could be my schedule of the school because I realized that I usually take food at home or school and I do not take an instant food at home anymore. It means the school is the only place that I take food except for home. One of my challenges that I made was that taking a breakfast and I still keep that because I could buy homemade Korean food that composed of a light soup with a few side dishes which are very healthy food for every week. But at the school, I always have two classes that from 8 or 9 a.m. to around 3 or 4 p.m. during the weekdays and I should take a lunch at school. But, in the school I do not have many choices for food. So, I just take food for satiety and I cannot digest well and it also cause that I take dinner at late night.
  • 14. The Death Of Juliet s Deaths For Romeo And Juliet Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, was originally published in 1597. Until this day, the play is very well known worldwide. The classic love story is set in Verona and is about a long feud between the Montague and Capulet families. This feud causes the death of their beloved children, Romeo and Juliet, who are described as star crossed lovers. It is a play of contrasts of love and hate, joy and sorrow, light and dark, youth and age, life and death. Some readers will blame the main characters, Romeo and Juliet for bringing about their tragic deaths, however some may argue that other characters are responsible for their deaths, with only little of the blame to be placed on Romeo and Juliet. Firstly, one character who is undeniably responsible for Romeo and Juliet s death is Friar Laurence. There are three primary reasons he is accountable for Romeo and Juliet s death. The first reason is that he gave the poison to Juliet. In the last few scenes of Act Three, we find out that Juliet will have to marry Paris and because she does not want to, she seeks Friar Laurence for advice. Juliet s feels that her only solution is to kill herself, but Friar Laurence advises her there is another way out; drinking the potion that will stop her pulse and breathing, making her seem like she is dead for forty two hours: When presently through all thy veins shall run / A cold and drowsy humour, for no pulse / No warmth, no breath, shall testify thou livest, / The roses in thy

Resistance Training Program Discussion #2 The importance of the endocrine system when designing a resistance training program: The endocrine system releases hormones to help the body regulate and stabilize internally. When designing a resistance training program, it is important to look at the predicted outcome (for example: muscle growth) and see what hormones are linked to that predicted outcome. The goal is to get the best hormonal response from areas that will help guide you to the intended outcome of the program. If I was designing a program for strength and muscle growth (using the knowledge I have of the endocrine system), I know that human growth hormone and testosterone are the hormones that will play a large role there. But beauty, in illuminating irony of its wiles, is not to be obtained. In the piece of literature, The Iguana, written by Isak Dinesen, is entailed a story concerning a personal, thoughtful, and epiphanic experience of the narrator in regards to beauty. The author develops the theme of revelation via the use of the literary devices of characterization and figurative language. She describes the shimmering elegance of the iguana with figurative language. They shine like a heap of precious stones or like a pane cut out of an old church window. When, as you approach, they swish away, there is a flash of azure, green and purple over the stones, the colour seems to be standing behind them in the air, like a comet s luminous tail. She acknowledges the grace and luster of the iguana with colorful comparisons to sparkling stone or church window, saying also that it has a likeness to comet s shining and exuberant tail. This is her initial impression of the iguana. She then shoots the iguana with the intention of flaying and fashioning things from its skin. She remarks on its appearance after being shot, saying ...and by the time that I touched him he was grey and dull like a lump of concrete. She notices that the iguana, in a state bereft of life, has taken on an appearance in blatant contrast to its preceding form, and she notices this. A third instance of the theme of revelation operating in conjunction with figurative language is when the narrator encounters a young African girl and is enraptured by the charming amalgam of colors on her bracelet. She hastily has Farah purchase the bracelet from the girl for her, and once donning it, notices an immediate and grievous transformation. No sooner had it come upon my own arm than it gave up the ghost. It was nothing now, a small, cheap, purchased article of finery. The bracelet had been in such incongruence with her pale hand that its beauty was diminished nigh instantaneously, and she takes heed of this. It became nothing short of the corpse of the iguana. These three instances develop the theme of revelation through displaying the shift in her understanding of beauty and its connection with life with figurative language. She also understands that beauty is not an obtainable item, and it is

These first couple of lines drew my attention because at the moment, I feel like I m living the same thing over and over again. It s the same thing every day. Go to school, get good grades, go to the studio, do homework until midnight, get 6 or 7 hours of sleep, then wake up and do everything over again. The next couple of lines say And you can t find the fighter, but I see it in you so we re gonna walk it out and move mountains. These words made me think about everything differently. This year I ve been under a lot of stress pertaining to grades, SATs, scholarships, and applications. Sometimes I don t know how I m going to fit everything in. There s just not enough time in a day. I realized that over time, once I get everything done, I will be going to college and then maybe change the world afterwards.

They are the first national certified organic grocery store. 2015 might have been the worst year in the history of Whole Foods Market. Comparable sales had declined for the first time since the recession. There was a humiliating scandal involving mislabeled weights and prices, and the attacks from rivals Kroger Inc., Costco Wholesale and Trader Joe s only seemed to increase. This resulted in Whole Foods shared price plummeting 36%. This was a decline that would have been worse had a late year buyout rumor no circulated. Whole Foods had diminished this rumor. Moving into 2016, there seemed to be a reason to be optimistic even with the descending momentum and flat comparable sales forecast. In 2016, Whole Foods debut the 365 chain. The budget friendly 365 chain allowed the company to reach different demographics and provided a larger range of real estate options, enabling it to open in neighborhoods that may not be fit for one of their full line stores. Hughie (the son of the war veteran with the controversial ideas about the meaning of Anzac day) mentions about the mistake that cost sixty thousand lives. The Anzacs were expecting to battle on large plains and were trained to do so. Instead of finding the flat beach they expected, they found they had been landed at an incorrect position and faced the steep cliffs of the Turkish Peninsula constantly under fire from above as they strived to entrench themselves at the base of the cliff. They faced a well organised, well armed, large Turkish force determined to defend their country. Every year on the 25th of April Australia commemorates this mistake. I assembled my weapons into my old black duffle bag; a silenced handgun, a military grade pocket knife and my SR 25 sniper rifle. Wearing a pair of ripped jeans as faded as erased blue pencil markings and a grey hoodie that hugged every crevice of my muscular torso, I headed out to my old black pickup truck. Throwing the duffle bag into the passenger seat with force, I quickly hopped into the driver s seat. While starting the engine, it made the all too familiar sounds; kch, kch, kch kch kch kch kvooom, I thought to myself I should really get this car checked out... Whatever, this is my piece of garbage hunting car anyways. After starting the car, I raced down the street with the speed of a diving peregrine falcon, leaving a gust of sand and dust behind me, Today is going to be a good day. I feel it. While driving around, I suddenly spotted a stranger. She was a tall and voluptuous woman, with golden hair that seemed to flow like water in the gentle summer breeze and leggings as tight as a painted on coating. Her sweater was a deep cherry red and her smile illuminated all of her surroundings. With an innocent wave, she gestured that she was a hitchhiker. Although bean bags were shot rather than live ammunition, apparently the Colonel had given orders to aim at the head periodically (calling it an accident), especially when prisoners (or animals, as the Colonel called them often) were killed. Electrochemistry, a branch of physical chemistry, is the study of the relationship between chemical reactions and electricity and centers upon the interrelation of chemical energy and electrical energy. Contributing to such crucial technological developments as the invention of batteries and fuel cells, corrosion protection and the study of metallurgy, electrochemistryis credited with a great deal of real life applications and has had widespread impact on mankind. One of the most common and fundamental applications of electrochemistry is producing an electric current from a spontaneous redox reaction through the help of a device called the electrochemical cell. For example, if zinc metal is dropped into an aqueous solution of copper ion... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The electrode placed with the reducing agent is called anode, while the one placed with the oxidizing agent is called cathode. In this case, a strip of zinc metal should be placed in a solution of zinc nitrate and a strip of copper metal should be placed with copper nitrate. As the anode frees electrons where oxidation takes place, the electrons enter an electricity conducting wire and travel to the cathode where reduction takes place, thereby creating electrical energy. In the meantime of this process, a positive charge and a negative charge accumulate in the oxidation and reduction vessel respectively, due to the transfer of electrons. Since electrons do not have a propensity to travel from a positively charged region to a negatively charged region, a salt bridge containing a cation and an anion that do not play a role in the redox reaction, is required to keep this system operating. An U shaped tube connecting the vessels, the salt bridge releases its cations to the reduction vessel and its anions to the oxidation vessel to maintain the charge neutral. As scientific as this explanation may seem, battery, a ubiquitous product, is modeled after this cell system. A common example of an electrochemical cell is a standard 1.5 volt battery meant for consumer use .[ Electrochemistry. Wikipedia. Accessed January 21, 2016.

Perhaps there should be an alternative, such as, equipping parents with the tools to control their own data consumption and block access to the content they do not wish, or do not want their children, to have access to. Some people may wish to access adult content, whilst denying their children access to it. Without the knowledge of self web regulation, they would not be able to access adult content, without the risk of exposing their children to it. According to McLaughlin et al, (2008), the distance in proximity between people affects people s levels of comfort and can cause anxiety. Fear and lack of trust are among the most typical barriers to effective communication. People can be hesitant to communicate in particular their thoughts as well as their feelings for fear of being criticised, getting negative reactions, or getting an angry response. if people lack trust they might be hesitant to communicate, not just their feelings and thoughts, but any ideas they might have. For example, the situation was hugely affected by the service user s current emotions which involved her family members constantly shouting and criticising her. Overmedication is when a patient uses unnecessary or excessive amounts of medication. Unfortunately, a large number of people have died from over medication. This is caused by doctors or specialists prescribing too much medication to their patients, or by people taking too much medication to ease their pain without precaution. This not only affects a person physically but also mentally.
