The duration of the American Freedom Rides occurred mainly in May 1961. Unlike in America,
the Freedom Rides in Australia took place later on the 12th February 19659; when the University of
Sydney students rode into the towns in northern New South Wales which contained large
Aboriginal populations 10. One of the main towns mentioned was at Moree; where they protested in
swimming pools, attracting a lot of violence. The Freedom Rides also passed through Wellington,
Gulargambone, Lismore, Bowraville and Kempsey. The duration of the Australian Freedom Rides

America, there was a Freedom Ride accompanied by the State Highway Patrol, taking their journey

Being a writer does not seem as hard as it sounds, but in reality, it is how you write that makes it
hard. A self conscious writing style takes more will power than other styles of writing, (In my
opinion.) There are many problems with being a self conscious writer and here are just a few
problems a person can have.
The first problem is that all the voices in your head are nonsense. They do not care for anything
else except to mess with your writing. This is especially hard for me because I will let the voices
take over and write the whole paper for me. In the past, I would not even look at my paper until the
voices were finished putting their opinion in. I stopped the voices from taking by over thinking. I
would constantly change the subject in my mind even though I would be writing; the voices would
be so confused by me switching topics that they would not even notice my writing. However, there
were sometimes when the voices would come through the megaphone and yell the same topic
continuously, which leads me to the next problem.
The second problem is repeating the same sentence. While there are many ways to form a sentence,
a self conscious writer will write it two different ways and think that it means something different.

that encompasses the beauty and importance of the natural world through many individuals
experiences. Tsukiyama expresses the belief that humans need help from an outside force, so
that they can be relieved from their grief and misery. In the novel, The Samurai s Garden, Gail
Tsukiyama conveys the theme that in order to heal, people need nature; she accomplishes this
through her use of Sachi, Matsu, and Stephen. Sachi is one of the most compassionate, yet
strong characters in the novel. Throughout her life she has endured shame, loss of loved ones,
and internal pain, but everyday she chooses reality and exists among all this turmoil. However,

Pearson vs. Pants Snatchers Roy L. Pearson was a proud man. He had just been awarded a
position of honor among his field. Pearson was to sit at the bench as an administrative judge.
