HELD: We cannot subscribe to eh appellate court s ruling excluding Emilio III in the administration
of the decedent s undivided estate. Mistakenly, the CA glosses over several undisputed facts and
circumstances:
The underlying philosophy of our law on intestate succession is to give preference to the wishes
and presumed will of the decedent, absent a valid and effective will; The basis for Art. 992 of
the Civil Code, referred to as the iron curtain bar rule is quite the opposite scenario in the facts
obtaining herein for the actual relationship between Federico and Cristina on one hand, and Emilio
III, on the other, was akin to the normal relationship of legitimate relatives. Emilio III was reared
from infancy by decedent, Cristina, and her husband Federico, who both acknowledged him as their
grandchild; Federico claimed half of the properties included in the estate of the decedent, Cristina,
as forming part of their conjugal partnership and gains during the subsistence of their marriage;
Cristina s properties forming part of her estate are still commingled with that of her husband
Federico, because her share in the conjugal partnership, albeit terminated upon her death, remains
undetermined and unliquidated; and Emilio III is a legally adopted child of Federico, entitled to
share in the distribution of the latter s estate as a direct heir, on degree

Subject: The strategy of the company and the problems the company faced in 2003
As the case stated, there existed a lot of problems in Distillers Delight in the United Kingdom in

Moreover, they reacted to the change so ineffectively, so that the company lost the early opportunity
when they could avoid the possible subsequent declination in sales. (Appendix K) The problem can
be shown by two aspects. Firstly, the company reacted to the tax increase by continuing the existing
price policy, which implies that they did not know what the customers need. Secondly, its
competitors reacted by taking aggressive advertising campaign in advance, however, it responded
slowly.
In conclusion, the company adopted the market niche strategy in order to target the specific group
of customers. However, the sense of crisis and the crisis management capability are the problems

Essay On Iran Nuclear Deal
The Iran Nuclear Deal: Retain or Abolish? Currently, The USA position about Iran nuclear deal
has been one of the most controversial topics in the political and international affairs fields. People
are taking sides about what should be the best decision for the USA government. Should the USA
tear up the deal or stay in it?
During these past days, the news is so focused on the subject Iran, here are some headlines:
Scuttling the Iran deal will lead to another North Korea, how the Iran deal prevents a covert
nuclear weapons program, the sun sets on a good Iran deal. The question is what all these
headlines have in common? In my opinion, I think that the best decision for the USA government
is to stay in the Iran nuclear deal for three ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As president Trump s reluctance to certify if Iran is following all the requirements, it illustrates that
the deal remains under threat.
First all, the USA administration, president Donald Trump and some his political adviser, are
willing to end up the USA involvement in the JCPOA and the US president claimed that it was the
worse decision. For me, it was one of the most successful deals in the last years because it is
preventing Iran from building nuclear weapons and provide improved transparency. Which means
that under a nuclear agreement, Iran has the obligation to permit the International Atomic Energy
Agency (IAEA) to conduct a deep inspection on Iran s nuclear facilities if IAEA requests to do so.
However, If Iran violates the agreement, it will severely punish and all sanctions will come back
and Iran aliens will not be able to reverse the situation or block the sanction applied to Iran such
as economic, political and others that can break the Iran economy. The US government can do
nothing to stop Iran to improve its nuclear weapons. If Iran decided not to make new nuclear
weapons, it was because they decided not to do it.
Some disagree that, the Obama administration is prepared to sign an agreement that will expire in
a mere 10 years time. At this point, any restriction that the deal imposes on Iran would be vanish.
Iran s economy would be free from all nuclear related sanctions and its government would be
treated the same as any other

Biological Causes Of Anorexia
There are many causes behind why people suffer from anorexia. The first one would be that it is
genetics that involves the risk for some sort of eating disorder. This would make a person more
vulnerable to having this mental illness more than someone without these genetic factors. Another
common cause is that someone in a person s family suffers from anorexia. This allows a person
to become adjusted to this mental illness, thinking of it as a social norm. They don t understand
the risk factors involving anorexia. Although social media does have an effect on some types of
eating disorders, it has been proven that anorexia is indeed a biological illness, and the best
treatment that can come from this is a biological approach. If the case of genetics being strictly
behind the reason for the eating disorder,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is why eating disorders are listed as the most deadly mental illness over anything else. I found
out a number of treatments that can help a person who suffers from anorexia. However, for those
that actually choose to get treatment, the very first thing that should occur is the treatment of the
symptoms, which means that whatever their body is lacking they should be provided the right care
for that specific function. The example that Bradford also uses in her article is that if a person is
dehydrated, that s the first step that should be fixed behind the treatment. When the symptom has
been noted, next would come the action. The action would be to help the person in need to boost
their weight up. However, these treatments aren t just physical, they require a much need for
mentally stabilizing them as well. This is indeed an emotional disorder that requires psychological
help. The patients who go through therapy can then receive antidepressants or any other sort of
medication that their body needs in order to stabilize their brain

Post American World Essay
Fareed Zakaria Post American World Book Review Few would disagree that the previous U.S.
administration of George W. Bush Jr. plunged America s international reputation to an all time
low. Even as the country staggers to recover international goodwill under President Barack
Obama, a homegrown credit crisis, captured most strikingly in the collapse of several iconic
institutions of American industry like Citigroup and General Motors, has brought the U.S.
economy to a standstill. Few would doubt that America will eventually recover from both crises.
Be that as it may, the unipolar moment, centered on the preeminence of American power, purse,
and presence may well and truly be over, or so we are often told. What powers will take the place...

This new global order, Fareed is quick to remind, has in fact proven remarkably peaceful. While a
conclusion that would perhaps be initially met with raised eyebrows, Fareed proceeds to explain
this in a manner that makes eminent sense. For instance, he argues that Islamic threat is overrated
and that the struggle between governments and terrorists will persist, but with the former holding
the upper hand. For instance, he explains, Al Qaeda may have been a movement out to rally the
entire Muslim world to jihad against the West, but the many variations within Islam undermine its
ability to merge into a single monolithic force. He goes on to suggest that ideological watchdogs
have focused so much on jihad rhetoric that they have ceased to take into account the actual Muslim
societies which are frustrated with the fundamentalists, wish for modernity (that allows for dignity
and cultural pride), and pursue practical solutions not martyrdom. Equally telling is his explanation
for this artificial and unnecessary state of paranoia we live in. The problem, to him, lies in the
mismatch between people s perception and fear of the danger (i.e. war, terrorism, organized
violence) that allegedly surrounds them, and the actual reality. This, he argues, can be partly
attributed to

Ets1 And ETS2
In HDAC2 ETS1 and ETS2 adopted similar modes of binding (Figs 7a, 7c). Both were observed to
have ПЂ ПЂ stacking interactions with Phe 155 and Phe 210 in the core of the gorge. The
imidazole ring of ETS1 and the oxazole ring of ETS2 was shown to be a parallel displaced ПЂ ПЂ
stacking interaction with Phe 155. ETS1 also has a parallel displaced ПЂ ПЂ stacking interaction
with Phe 210, while ETS2 was shown to adopt a face to face ПЂ ПЂ stacking interaction with this
residue instead. The indole rings of ETS1 and ETS2 participate in edge to edge stacking
interactions with Phe 155 and His 33. In addition to bidentate metal ion coordination the
hydroxamate tail of both compounds like panobinostat, TOI1, and TOI2 participate in a hydrogen
bondwith... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is notable that HDAC8 does not have an aromatic hydrophobic pocket corresponding to the
one created by His 33 and Phe 155. In HDAC2 this region forms a nice groove, which is not
observed in HDAC8, for the indole ring sit in. In HDAC8 the Lys 33 residue, while it has a
hydrophobic chain, does not participate in staking interactions. The imidazole ring now adopts a T
shaped ПЂ ПЂ stacking interaction between Phe 152 and Phe 208, whereas it was parallel
displaced in HDAC2. This less favored double T shaped interaction prevents the formation of a
hydrogen bond in the core of HDAC8. ETS2 in HDAC8 also shows the shift of the indole ring to
the right side of the gorge to now hydrogen bond with Gly 184, and the oxazole ring also adopts
more of a T shaped orientation with the Phe 208 in HDAC8 compared to a parallel ПЂ ПЂ
orientation. The oxazole ring is also less of an equal distance between the two Phe rings, favoring
an interaction with Phe 208 over an interaction with Phe 152. Again the wider gorge size of
HDAC8 decreases binding affinity of these compounds.
ETS1 and ETS2 ranked 1st and 2nd as HDAC2 inhibitors, producing binding scores of 10.0937
and 9.9520, respectively. The ability of ETS1 and ETS2 to bind to HDAC8 is, however,
significantly lower for both compounds, ranking 9th and 8th, (6.7458 and 6.9155 respectively).
This difference in binding scores is greater than

East Rock Community Magnet School
The teacher I interviewed for this project was a fifth grade teacher, Mr. Keith Wolkovitz. This
teacher has been teaching at East Rock Community Magnet School for his entire career of eleven
years. East Rock Community Magnet School is a Title I school in the New Haven School District.
The school has a very diverse population and over 90% of the students qualify for the free reduced
lunch program. As a Title I school, the school is also mandated by the state to implement certain
remedial interventions to improve students academic scores.
Analysis
During our interview, Mr. Wolkovitz described most of the at risk students at East Rock
Community Magnet School as a student who is struggling in one or more aspect of learning . This
response is seemingly broad, however, I believe that he would define an at risk student as being
someone that is academically behind the other students in at least one content area: mathematics,
reading, writing, science or social studies. Mr. Wolkovitz also suggested that the students receiving
special education services are also included in his definition of an at risk student. This response
seems quite appropriate considering the grade level of students that Mr. Wolkovitz works with.
Students do start showing some signs of being at risk in elementary school; however, most of the
early warning signs are centered on their academic performance. Younger students are not as likely
to be truant, engaged in risky or criminal behavior, or have family

French Revolution Research Paper
The France in 1789 was a country that was about to have a revolution. There were a lot of French
people who were not happy with the government, which was not happy with the social system, not
satisfied with the economic situation in France, and were probably really unhappy with life. This
essay explores three areas of life in Francein 1789. First policy, particularly the structure of power.
Then the company, which this time was very uneven. Eventually the economy, in France during the
18th century, there was a real economic crisis. Politics, unequal society and the economy, together
created a discontent environment and end cause the French Revolution.

Moreover, the king did nothing to improve the situation. Besides, he lived at Versailles, away from
the struggles of Paris as well other poor living in the countryside.
A major reason for the difficult financial situation in France at that time was the increase in the
French population. Since the early 18th century, the population of France increased dramatically.
The country had 28 million people in 1789, from 8 to 10 million more than in 1700. Apart from
a few major cities (Paris, Lyon and Marseille), 80% of the population lived in the countryside.
This rural majority lived off the land. The farmers rented land of rich lords and need their pay
significant taxes for the right to grow plants. The lords were then supposed to turn over a portion
of these taxes to the king, but in fact the lords often kept much to themselves. Most of the time only
a third of the unpopular tax on salt, salt tax has been redistributed to the king.
Meanwhile, the peasants had time really hard to live from their work and the vast majority were
living below the subsistence level. As the cost of flour began to climb the people were left to
starve, unable to afford bread more. It eventually became a major source of revolt that bread was
and is the main element of each French grocery

Fate In Romeo And Juliet
Fate is the most influential factor in the play of Romeo and Juliet because it was responsible for
the couple s heartbreaking tragedy. By fate, the pair meet each other while the stars are crossed,
cursing them with a dreadful fortune. Because of fate, the two young lovers meet each other in
the first place and for that moment, Romeo and Juliet these unaware star crossed lovers are
bound to death. In Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, the impression that Romeo and Juliet s death
is brought about by cruel overwhelming fate is true, because it is not a coincidence that Romeo
meets Juliet at the Capulet party, the pair of star crossed lovers are the offspring of sworn
enemies, and Friar Lawrence s plan was bound to fail. It is not a coincidence... Show more content

For example, instead of Romeo getting word from the Friar fate caused Balthasar give Romeo
inaccurate information by saying about Juliet s that her body sleeps in Capel s monument, and
her immortal part with angels lives . Though it seems like an accident that Balthasar is the one
to tell Romeo about Juliet s death, it is more likely that fate had a greater influence in the
communication about Juliet s false death. By fate, Balthasar comes to Romeo and tells him
what he has witness. Friar Lawrence s plan is also ruined because Friar John is unable to deliver
the critical message to Romeo. He tells that Friar that [he] could not send it (here it is again),
nor get a messenger to bring it thee, so fearful were they of infection . Because Friar Lawrence s
message plans an important part to the plan he creates, the fact that it is never sent proves to be a
deadly factor in the play. Romeo, not knowing that Juliet is not really dead, he decides that he can
not live without her because he is rash, which leads him to his impending death. The fate put in
Friar Lawrence s plan leaves Romeo with a desire to die since he never received the correct news,
which destines both him and Juliet to their

Ordinary Men Summary
Book Review: Ordinary Men by Christopher Browning Ordinary Men by Christopher Browning
is subtitled Reserve Police Battalion 101 and the Final Solution in Poland. This title is a perfect
overview of the subject of the book. Browning discussed Reserve Police Battalion 101 and the part
it played in the World War II during the Holocaust, especially in the Final Solution , which was the
attempted eradication of Jews. Not only does Browning discuss Battalion 101, but he uses them as
an example of how ordinary people can commit atrocities such as mass murder. Christopher
Browning is a professor of history at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. He is
considered an expert on the Holocaust and has written several acclaimed books covering this
subject (Christopher R. Browning). To write this his book Ordinary Men, he relies on a collection
of indictments and judgements that took place from 1962 to 1972 (Browning xvii). These cases
that Browning studied are full of testimonies from Battalion 101 members. He writes Ordinary Men

of a 60 year old salesman that undergoes through lack of success in his life and sees the same
thing happening ,to his two grown sons now in their mid thirties, as the American dream faded
away being replaced by capitalism in the late 1940s. The play starts of by introducing Willy

Willies flaw in his desire of being higher in society than anyone else.Willy cannot let go of the

past is a defense mechanism as he refuses to come to terms with his failure as a salesman. His

Boo Radley
People tend to get upset when details get left out when books are turned into movies or plays. To
Kill a Mockingbird is about a family living in a fictional town called Maycomb, Alabama during
the Great Depression. The family consisted of a father, Atticus Finch, a brother, Jem Finch, and a
sister, Jean Louise (Scout) Finch. At this time, racial discrimination existed and caused tension
everywhere. Although, without racial discrimination readers wouldn t be introduced to a shy
character named Arthur (Boo) Radley. Boo Radley was a young man who stayed within the
confinement of his home. He is rumored to be scary, but he actually just chooses to stay inside

Scout is still very young during the book and doesn t seem to quite understand all that is
happening. She thinks that her father is of very old age, but in reality he is not. For instance,
Atticus was feeble: he was nearly fifty (Lee, 118). Additionally, Harper Lee told the book from
Scout s point of view to show a child s perspective, but perhaps Miss Maudie s narration of the
play was of greater importance to the audience.
Changing the narration of the story helps the audience understand, but changing the opening scenes
helps them follow the story. Another difference between the book and the play is that the book
opens with Jem breaking his arm, while the play opens with Its a sin to kill a mockingbird. The
author, Harper Lee, wanted to symbolize the meaning of the mockingbird in the story. In addition,
mockingbirds don t harm humans in anyway. Mockingbirds simply sing for everyone to enjoy
with pleasure. Lee writes That s why it s a sin to kill a mockingbird (119). In the play, they started
with It s a sin to kill a mockingbird to emphasize the importance of the saying throughout the story.
The difference between the opening scenes helps readers follow along, while the difference in the
setting of the fight scene allows the audience to

Essay On The Role Of Women In Australia During Ww2
Intro
Over one million Australians were involved in World War 2. The war effort came from women
and men alike, serving interstate and internationally. At the end of this war, there were 40,000
dead and more than 30,000 taken as prisoners of war. This was the first time in history that
Australia s mainland had come under direct attack. The war was a catastrophic global conflict
which did have a significant impact on Australians. World War 2 started in 1939, with the German
invasion of Poland, and ended in 1945, by Japan being bombed by the USA. The two main sides in
the fight were the Axis powers which were the countries Germany, Italy and Japan and the Allies
which featured USA, France, Britain and consequently Australia. The role of women, ... Show more

This war opened up employment opportunities in the military, industry and agriculture, roles
which had been previously denied to women. With over 500,000 men serving during the war,
women were left to fill the role they had left behind. Although the women s higher pay was good,
their wages were still less than a man s and they were expected to go back to their normal lives
after the war ended. Women s organizations were highly popular during World War 2, with
associations like the Women s Land Army and the Women s Royal Australian Naval Service, as
well as the Australian Army Nursing Service. These groups had a total of more than 45,000
women serving in them. One important woman during World War 2 was Vivian Bullwinkel. She
became the sole survivor of the 1942 Banka Island massacre. On the 14 February, the ship SS
Vyner Brooke was sunk by Japanese aircraft. 22 nurses and a larger group of women, children
and men managed to make it ashore on Banka Island. This group, along with an extra 100 British
soldiers, decided to surrender to the Japanese. Shortly after, Japanese soldiers killed the men and
made all the nurses wade into the sea. They were shot at, and when Bullwinkel was struck, she
pretended to be dead until the Japanese left. She surrendered after 12 days and was taken into
captivity. She was the only one of 65 nurses aboard the Vyner Brooke to survive. It is clear from
these facts to see that women played a crucial role during the second World

I believe there are parts of our society that have become fractured and divided somewhat beyond
repair and I think that there is an extent to which doing what is needed takes precedent over
gaining the consent to do it. This is what I mean by the challenge is to persuade, I really feel that
those people who have been manipulated into working against their best interest simply need to be
persuaded to a more progressive viewpoint. And I think they need to be persuaded by seeing the
benefits of collective progressive, work, philosophy and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You can also define the skill as your ability to change the actions or behaviors of other people, or to
encourage the actions and behaviors of others.
In a business setting this would be a manager s ability to get his employees to do their work more
efficiently; in a relationship this would be the influence to gain compromise from your partner,
siblings or children.
In the public this would be your ability to negotiate with strangers and foreigners, to get out of bad
situations or simply to negotiate better positions for yourself.
How the skill could be useful in business
In the work environment you do not always have the decision making autonomy that you need to
make your ideas a priority so the ability to persuade others to endorse or advocate for your ideas is
a valuable skill. When you re working with others, if you ever take on too much work it would
be great to be able to persuade your coworkers to assist you. You may even need to persuade your
supervisors or shareholders to give you more time instead of putting you under more pressure.
If you are responsible for training customer facing employees in your organization not only do you
have to be able to persuade them you need to be able to teach them persuasion in how to work with
your organization s customers. You may also need to persuade coworkers and employees to get
them more motivated and focused on their work.
If you want to grow in your organization you will find yourself constantly persuading the

Evaluation Of Linux Containers ( Lxc )
Linux Assignment 2015 Evaluation of Linux Containers What is a Linux Container? The Linux
Containers (LXC) feature is a lightweight virtualization mechanism that does not require you to set
up a virtual machine on an emulation of physical hardware. (Oracle, 2015) Linux based containers
are emerging cloud technologies based on fast and lightweight process virtualization. It offers users
an environment near identical performance to a standard Linux distribution, as opposed to para
virtualization solutions (Xen) and other hardware virtualization solutions such as KVM. It is not
necessary for a Linux container to create a new operating system kernel for each new instance.

Research Paper On Job Shop Scheduling
Job shop schedsuling using genetic algorithm
Abstract The job shop scheduling (JSS) can be difined as a planning of schedules with many
variations according to the requirements. In job shop scheduling problem (JSSP) environment,
there are numbers jobs to be processed on numbers of machines with a certain objective function to
be minimized or maximized. In this paper, we have used the GT GA to solve the job shop
scheduling to minimize the makespan along with the special type of crossover known as multi step
crossover fusion (MSXF). To see wheather we get good results by modifyinng the classical
approach using GA, we have compared the result with the standard benchmark instances available.
Using this combinations of the techniques, we have got results showing deviations less than 3%.
Index Terms Scheduling, Job Shop Scheduling, genetic algorithm.
Introduction:
The job shop scheduling problem is the combinatorial problem in which there can be many
objective functions. In this paper we have selected the makespan to be the objective function.
The main objective of any scheduling is to create a schedule which specifies when each task is
to begin and what resources it will use that satisfies all the constraints while taking as little
overall time as possible. The scheduling in which there is a specific order of a job to be processed
by perticular machines is called as job shop scheduling problem. This kind of scheduling and
sequecing of operations deals with the allocations of resources optimally over time so as ... Show

Persuasive Essay On Hunter Safety
Hunting and racing are a lot alike. Holding that steering wheel and holding that rifle both mean you
better be responsible. Dale Earnhardt. Earnhardt s quote is saying like racing, hunting requires
safety. Before the hunt can ever happen there are safety precautions that must be learned. Hunting
safety is essential to protect not only the hunter but also the community. People fall victim to
huntingaccidents every year due to not practicing proper firearmor hunting blind safety.
Hunter safety courses have been adopted by all states as a way of teaching novice and veteran
hunters how to be responsible and safe sportsman. Hunter safety class are required in all states to
hunt. Some states do not require this class if you are born before a certain date. Other states only
require the class only has to be taken if you are between a certain age (Hunter Ed.com unit 1). One
of the many topic learned in hunter safety courses is the use the weapon.
A firearm is one of the weapons that may be used when hunting. A firearm utilizes pressure
produced from the burning of gunpowder to create gas. The pressure produced from the burning
powder propels a projectile out of the barrel at a target. In rifles and most handguns the barrel has
rifling on the inside of the barrel to make the projectile spin to travel better in the air. Rifling are
groove that spin as they go through the inside of the barrel. Shotgun barrels are smooth and can

The search for Redemption
In a lifetime one will face many battles and deal with guilt as said nearly all men can stand
adversity, but if you want to test a man s character give him power (Abraham Lincoln). Guilt from
deceiving others or other immoral acts will result in one constantly searching for redemption.
Khalid Hosseni s novel Kite Runner and Shilpi Somaya Gowda s novel Secret Daughter revolve
around betrayal and redemption. Firstly, the search for personal redemption will strongly influence
ones character. Secondly, the bond a child forms with their parents will affect their actions. Lastly,
the persistence of the past will cloud one s ability to redeem their life. Throughout the novel the

Histrionic Personality Disorder Analysis
Those living with histrionic personality disorder are referred to as drama queens . Often such
persons are uncomfortable in situations where they are not the center of attention. People with this
disorder are often charming, flirtatious or seductive, and like to dress in an inappropriately
provocative way (Larsen, 2014). They can be theatrical, behaving or expressing emotions in a
manner that draws attention to themselves. Yet simultaneously, their emotional are shallow, lacking
in detail and easily changed. This gives them the air of being hollow and insincere. Moreover, the
drama and strong emotional display often embarrasses friends and family as they may embrace
even casual acquaintances with excessive enthusiasm, or may sob uncontrollably over some minor
sentimentality. People with Histrionic Personality Disorderoften... Show more content on

Diagnosis:
Personality disorders such as histrionic personality disorder are typically diagnosed by a
psychologist or psychiatrist. There are no laboratory, blood or genetic tests that can be utilized to
diagnose histrionic personality disorder. Many people diagnosed with histrionic personality
disorder avoid seeking treatment. People with personality disorders do not often seek out treatment
until the disorder starts to significantly interfere or impact the persons daily life.
Causes/ Etiology:
We know that both nature and nurture play fundamental roles in creating personality disorders. We
also know neither is capable of forming a personality disorder separate from the other. What we

INTRODUCTION
A lease is a contractual arrangement calling for the lessee (user) to pay the lessor(owner) for the
use of an asset. Property, buildings and vehicles are common assets that are leased. Industrial pr
business equipment is also leased
Broadly put, a lease agreement is a contract between two parties, the lessor and the lessee. The
lessor is the legal owner of the asset; the lessee obtains the right to use the asset in return for
regular rental payments. The lessee also agrees to abide by various conditions regarding their use
of property or equipment. For example, a person leasing a car may agree that the car will be only
used for personal use.

Generally the ownership is transferred to the lessee at the end of the economic life of an asset.
Lease term is spread over the major part of the asset life. Here, lessor is only a financer. Example of
a finance lease is big industrial equipment.
On the contrary, in operating lease, risk and rewards are not transferred completely to the lessee.
The term of lease is very small compared to finance lease. The lessor depends on many different
lessees for recovering his cost. Ownership along with its risks and rewards lies with the lessor.
Here, the lessor is not only acting as a financer but he also provides additional services required in
the course of using the asset or equipment. Example of an operating lease is music system leased on
rent with the respective technicians
Single Investor Lease and Leveraged Lease:
In single investor lease, there are two parties lessor and lessee. The lessor arranges the money to
finance the asset or equipment by way of equity or debt. The lender is entitled to recover money
from the lessor only and not from the lessee in case of default by lessor. Lessee is entitled to pay
the lease rentals only to the

Evaluating Revenue Systems
Perry Christensen (2015) provide insight on the design and administration of a revenue system,
as well as how it is evaluated. A revenue system is a collection of sources that is used by the
government that are extracted through the means of tax and charges. Designing a revenue system
is not merely created from scratch; it is an older system that has been modified to comply with
and be accepted by society. These systems have been trending since the beginning of
socioeconomic development and continue to evolve. Revenue systems are evaluated through a set
of criteria; economic efficiency, equity, feasibility, and adequacy. It is noted that transparency is
also part of the criteria, but it is a separate criterion in itself. Research and evidence examine the set
of criteria by focusing on the income taxand how it has been the main source of revenue for the US
Federal government. There have been many innovations in the technology of tax collection that
have been implemented in the US, and have also been adopted globally by both developed and
developing countries. Efforts to improve current systems and policies are examined based on the set
used to evaluate the revenue system.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

According to the definition, a relevant product market includes all those products which are
regarded as interchangeable or substitutable by the consumer by reason of the products
characteristics, their prices and their intended use . We can presume that the relevant market for
film includes all of the five firms: Kodak, Fuji, Konica, Agfa and 3M. However, not all of these
firms products are viewed as fully interchangeable and substitutable by the consumer as stated in the
definition. According to statistics, about 50% of consumers will only buy Kodak film despite of
substantial price increases. This phenomenon indicates the consumers adamant belief in the
superior quality of Kodak film. There were two different viewpoints on the relevant geographic
product market for film discussed in the case. According to the district court, the relevant
geographic market for film is worldwide, since foreign manufactures sell considerable amounts of
film in the United States and Kodak s market share is only 36% globally. However, the government
argues that this determination is wrong and that the relevant geographic market in this case should
be limited to the United States. The main explanation here is that a relevant geographic market
comprises an area where the firm can exercise the market power. Taking into consideration the fact
that Kodak charges much higher prices in the US comparing to other countries, the relevant
geographic market

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Bileaflet Valve
Assignment 1
Part 1: Medical Device related to Human Biofluid Mechanics
St. Jude Medical Bileaflet valve
Defects in the valves of a heart can lead to regurgitation, and stenosis. Common symptoms include
angina, shortness of breaths and heart failure. These defects affect the heart functionality. As a
result, artificial heart valves are used to replace these defective valves. One artificial heart valve is
the St. Jude Bileaflet valve.
Long term studies have indicated that the St. Jude Medical mechanical heart valves demonstrates
consistent hemodynamic (flow of blood through the heart valve) performance over time. The valves
were made from silicon alloyed pyrolytic carbon due to its superior biocompatible, thromboresistant

This can be seen from the image where red blood cells and platelets are seen leaking back from the
aorta into the left ventricle. These cells are subjected to non physiological flows, leading to

tendencies (thrombus formation), risks of blood cell damage (haemolysis), stenosis (tissue on the
valve pannus) and the life reliance of anticoagulants with the risk of haemorrhage.
Part 2: Shortcomings, and Improvements to the Device
The ideal artificial heart valve should possess qualities like good hemodynamic performance and
durability, freedom from thromboembolism, and ease of insertion.
Improvement: Thicker cuff

alignment of the prosthetic valve with the vessel walls as compared to a thinner cuff. The thicker
cuff will also be able to support a taller carbon orifice (mentioned later) as well as the high pressure

Who Is The Hero Of The Hobbit
1.Who is the hero of The Hobbit?
J.R.R Tolkien s The Hobbit or There and Back Again implements many forms of heroism; whether
it be Bilbo, Bard, Gandalf, or even Thorin and his dwarves. Relating to this, there is no one hero
per se but rather multiple; the heroes face both internal and external challenges. This essay will
argue that the heroes of The Hobbit are Bilbo, Gandalf, Bard and Thorin respectively, in addition,
this essay will also analyse the first stage of the hero s journey structure according to Joseph
Campbell regarding Bilbo. Firstly, the main protagonist Bilbo Baggins sets a benchmark to the
notion of an archetype hero. Kennedy, Gioia and Bauerlein describe an archetype as a recurring

Just as Campbell notes, the figure encounters a series of dangers, in this case being the trolls, the
goblins, escaping from Gollum and going into Smaug s lair. With assistance from Gandalf the
group is saved from the goblins; however, the dwarves and Bilbo are separated. The interaction
between Gollum and Bilbo demonstrates a quality trait exhibited by a hero and, as a result,
Bilbo s actions are seen to outweigh his individual characteristics. Simultaneously, Bilbo displays
wisdom in answering Gollum s riddles and in turn exhibits cunning; Bilbo seeing what had
happened and having nothing better to ask stuck to his question (74). In the same way, Bilbo s
adventure is seen according to Pearce as a pilgrimage of grace in which he grows up (3).
Therefore, Bilbo s main goal of his adventure according to Pearce is to eliminate evil amongst

Why Marijuana Should be Legalized Essay
According to archeologists, the cannabis plant was among the first crops purposely cultivated by
human beings at least 6,000 years ago and perhaps even more than 12,000 years ago. It is
considered by many to be one of the most resourceful crops on earth. It can be used for industrial,
medical, and recreational purposes. Rather than waging war on marijuana users, this resourceful
crop should be legalized and utilized.
The cannabis sativa plant produces more protein, oil, and fiber than any other plant on earth. In
fact, it can be used to produce more than 5,000 textile products ranging from rope to paper. Aside
from being resourceful, it is also very nutritious. According to Dr. Udo Erasmus, hempseed oil is...

In 1990, 48 percent of doctors surveyed by the American Society of Clinical Oncology said they
would prescribe marijuana if it were legal. Another 30 percent said they would need more
information before prescribing it, and only 22 percent said they would not use prescribe it. 44
percent of the doctors admitted to actually recommending smoking marijuana to cancer patients to
combat nausea associated with chemotherapy. Furthermore, studies show that the smoking of
marijuana, even long term, is not harmful to health. So the question arises again, why won t the
federal government legalize marijuana?
Since 1937, the US government has been waging war against marijuana users. So much time has
been spent on mere drug offenders while rapists and murderers walk the streets raping and
murdering. According to the Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
Administration, 70 plus million Americans have admitted to smoking marijuana at least once in
their lifetime. It is a harmless source of recreation for millions of people around the world. It has
also been proven that marijuana helps to relieve stress. Furthermore, there is absolutely no proof
that smoking marijuana can make a person stupid or numb or affect a child s score on a test.
Some believe that the legalization of marijuana would result in increased usage or act as a gateway
to harder drugs. Marijuana is legal for

William Wordsworth s Lyrical Ballads
Imagine traveling down a gravel road in the countryside, set in England during the 19th Century. As
you continue your journey, you stumble across a woodland child and inquire about general
questions. Being inquisitive and intrigued by her fair beauty, queries regarding he family arise and
soon you find her concept of deathskewed. We are Seven, composed by William Wordsworth
and
published in Lyrical Ballads, is one of Wordsworth darker poems and unlike his characteristic
Romantic style. Wordsworth lost his mother at the tender age of eight, coincidentally, the same
age as the cottage girl. This poem stems from Wordsworth s personal experiences from when he
journeyed across Europe later in life and stumbled across a child near Goodrich Castle, whom is
alleged to be the muse behind this poem. The poem depicts the struggle the speaker faces as he
tries to verbalize the truth over the deceased cottage girl s brother and sister. The characterizations
regarding the speaker s social classand age in regards to his audience, the little girl, contribute to
the colliding ideology during this exchange. Wordsworth begins the scene of this poem with the
master strolling down a road in the countryside. The silence and loneliness of the poem breaks
when the man comes across a little girl frolicking alone. Before any words are exchanged, a
description of the child is given, alluding to her social standing among society. Described as having

What Happens When A Soccer Ball Bounces
1.0Background Theory
1.1Introduction
This investigation aims to determine the relationship between air pressure and the bounce height
of the ball, and what material (material of a basketball, volleyball and soccer ball) is best suited for
a ball in order for it to achieve its greatest bounce height.
1.2Research Questions
1.How does the air pressure inside a ball influence the bounce height/vertical motion of that ball?
2.How does the material of a ball affect the bounce height/vertical motion of that ball?
1.3Theory
1.31 Air Pressure
Air pressure can be defined as the force applied by air molecules on the surfaces in and around an
object, and is measured in Pascals one Newton per square metre (Pa) or pounds per square inch
(psi). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The velocity of the ball increases in the opposite direction as it has started to rebound from the
ground with acceleration still pointing up (see Figure 5). This also means that the elastic potential
energy is transferring into kinetic energy, although the kinetic energy will be less than previous
because some of the energy has been lost to generate heat and sound when the ball lands and
deforms. Due to the loss in energy, the ball will not return to its original drop height and creates a
bounce height.
Figure 5: Stage 5 (Real World Physics Problems, 2016)
6.The ball is now just touching the surface so it has returned to its original shape so all the
elastic potential energy has been transferred back into kinetic energy again (see Figure 6). The
only force acting on the ball now is gravity, so the acceleration has changed back to its original
direction and its velocity is decreasing.

Measures of Flexibility and Their Correlations to Sit and Reach and Modified Sit and Reach Tests
INTRODUCTION
Flexibility can be defined as the capability of something to bend easily without breaking. The
flexibility of a person is commonly measured during fitness tests, and the most frequently used
test of a person s flexibility is the sit and reach (Jackson and Baker, 1986). Though it is commonly
accepted that the sit and reach produces an accurate and relative measure of a person s flexibility,
the validity of the test has been examined a number of times (Jackson and ... Show more content on

For shoulder flexion 61% of the variance could be accounted for by the sit and reach. A correlation
was also found between the modified sit and reach test and both the shoulder extension and hip
flexion tests. For shoulder extension 33% of the variance was accounted for by the modified sit
and reach and for hip flexion 22% of the variance was accounted for by the modified sit and reach.

DISCUSSION
The purpose of this experiment was to identify which flexibility measurement tests correlate with
the sit and reach and modified sit and reach tests. In more recent studies, statistics have shown that
both hip flexion test results and shoulder extension test results were directly correlated to modified
sit and reach test results (Mayorga Vega, Merino Marban, and Viciana, 2014). The data gathered for

Albert Ellis Irrational Beliefs
To cope with this, I will apply Albert Ellis methods of identifying irrational beliefs, disputing
beliefs, rational beliefs, and their overall effects. In regards to irrational beliefs, as few I can
identify as having held were: She s an adult, she should know better, This makes me shrink, I hate
feeling like I m less, and She s overvaluing her position in the family. Ellis then asks us to dispute
those irrational beliefs and see where holding them gets us (Engler, 2009. I realized that by holding
her to the standard that she is an adult and should know better does not mean that she really does
know better. It can be helpful to understand that not every adult is at the same place of emotional
maturity, and learn those lessons in different

Relationship Between Love And Friendship Essay
When discussing love, people generally think about the love between a husband and wife, or
the love between a couple in a romantic partnership, and that is one type of love that I will be
discussing. In addition to romantic love, there are other types of love also. There is the love we
have for our children, our families, and also the love that we have for our friends. All of these
types of love share some of the same attributes, however, they have differences also. In reading
and researching different types of love, I have found that romantic love and friendship seem to be
the most similar in nature, although they have differences, they share a lot of the same attributes.
I found that friendship and romantic love tend to have more similarities than differences. In this
paper I will examine romantic love and friendship. I will discuss the definitions of the two, and
what elements each of these have. I will discuss the different theories of love, and I will compare
and contrast the similarities and differences between romantic love and friendship. By friendship, I
mean true friendship, or close friendships. I believe that true friendship is very different from
causal friendships. True friendships involve a level of emotional intimacy that you do not find with
causal friendships or acquaintances. If you look in the dictionary, it will define friendship as the
relationship between friends, or the state of being friends (Merriam Webster.com). I do not find that

Iwo Jima Thesis
Among the Americans who served on Iwo Island, uncommon valor was a common virtue. Those
were the words of Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, who served as an Admiral on the island of Iwo
Jima. He was a man who knew many, many soldiers to be his friends on the island. Admiral
Nimitz, who he watched fight and die in one of the bloodiest battles of World War ll, was a man
of honor and always tried to put his men in the best position possible. This battle is well worth
knowing about. Especially because if it hadn t happened, at least 24,000 lives would not have
been saved. The U.S marines secured Iwo Jima after sacrificing everything they had to save the
lives of others. The heart of these soldiers cannot be described in a simple essay so here is just a
little bit of what these courageous troops gave up.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
the flag on when the 4th and 5th Marine Divisions reached Iwo Jima is actually on top of a
mountain the Marines secured, Mount Suribachi. Even though Iwo Jima is a very small island,
it had several large mountains upon it. Iwo Jima is actually one island of many islands a part of
the Volcano Islands archipelago. The island changed its name to Lo Island in 2007. Felix W. de
Weldon was the sculptor who made the memorial. Joe Rosenthal, a member of the associated
press, was the man took the very memorable photo of the soldiers raising the flag in Iwo Jima.
This photograph made way to a man on duty in the U.S Navy, and inspired him to construct this
memorial. Felix de Weldon served in the U.S Navy and was so moved by the photo he decided to
create the life size model that eventually wound up being the memorial we see today. Only three of
the five men who originally raised the flag survived this horrific battle. That just goes to show how
terrifically messy this battle

What Is The Relationship Between Simba And The Prodigal Son
Analysis
There are several biblical concepts found in the Lion King however, this essay will be focusing
on the correlation in the Lion King and the prodigal son. Simba, the main character in the lion
king can be compared to the wayward son in the parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15:11 32.
In the opening scene, we encounter Simba as a baby cub when he is presented to all the animals in
Pride Land. Simba literally grows up in front of us, three different actors represent Simba namely,
young Simba, teenage Simba and adult Simba. As Simba grows up, he is trained by his dad. It is
not said that the prodigal son is trained by his father but it was implied that the father trained both
sons because the prodigal son saw the error of his ways and ... Show more content on

In the case of Simba, this was after he had fought and defeated his uncle and had an heir (he had
taken responsibility) and in the case of the prodigal son, there was celebration on his return to his
father this implies that with God, salvation is by Grace and not by works (Ephesians 2:8 10), in
contemporary society a lot is said about the importance of taking responsibility. This is also
important in the bible but Christians believe that responsibility is part of the transformation and
formation process which comes after conversion in the New Testament.
In the two stories, both fathers would agree that their sons were lost and are now found, they were
dead but are now alive. Both sons were home where they belonged. This happened only after they
discovered who they really were; both had to come to themselves and grow up to maturity but not
without struggles the conversion process of

Currently, The USA position about Iran nuclear deal has been one of the most controversial topics in the political and international affairs fields. During these past days, the news is so focused on the subject Iran, here are some headlines: Scuttling the Iran deal will lead to another North Korea, how the Iran deal prevents a covert nuclear weapons program, the sun sets on a good Iran deal. First all, the USA administration, president Donald Trump and some his political adviser, are willing to end up the USA involvement in the JCPOA and the US president claimed that it was the worse decision. For me, it was one of the most successful deals in the last years because it is preventing Iran from building nuclear weapons and provide improved transparency. Which means that under a nuclear agreement, Iran has the obligation to permit the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to conduct a deep inspection on Iran s nuclear facilities if IAEA requests to do so. However, If Iran violates the agreement, it will severely punish and all sanctions will come back and Iran aliens will not be able to reverse the situation or block the sanction applied to Iran such as economic, political and others that can break the Iran economy. The US government can do nothing to stop Iran to improve its nuclear weapons. If Iran decided not to make new nuclear weapons, it was because they decided not to do it. Some disagree that, the Obama administration is prepared to sign an agreement that will expire in a mere 10 years time. At this point, any restriction that the deal imposes on Iran would be vanish. This would make a person more vulnerable to having this mental illness more than someone without these genetic factors. They don t understand the risk factors involving anorexia. The example that Bradford also uses in her article is that if a person is dehydrated, that s the first step that should be fixed behind the treatment. When the symptom has been noted, next would come the action. The action would be to help the person in need to boost their weight up. However, these treatments aren t just physical, they require a much need for mentally stabilizing them as well. This is indeed an emotional disorder that requires psychological help. Even as the country staggers to recover international goodwill under President Barack Obama, a homegrown credit crisis, captured most strikingly in the collapse of several iconic institutions of American industry like Citigroup and General Motors, has brought the U.S. economy to a standstill. Few would doubt that America will eventually recover from both crises. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This new global order, Fareed is quick to remind, has in fact proven remarkably peaceful. While a conclusion that would perhaps be initially met with raised eyebrows, Fareed proceeds to explain this in a manner that makes eminent sense. For instance, he argues that Islamic threat is overrated and that the struggle between governments and terrorists will persist, but with the former holding the upper hand. For instance, he explains, Al Qaeda may have been a movement out to rally the entire Muslim world to jihad against the West, but the many variations within Islam undermine its ability to merge into a single monolithic force. He goes on to suggest that ideological watchdogs have focused so much on jihad rhetoric that they have ceased to take into account the actual Muslim societies which are frustrated with the fundamentalists, wish for modernity (that allows for dignity and cultural pride), and pursue practical solutions not martyrdom. Equally telling is his explanation for this artificial and unnecessary state of paranoia we live in. The problem, to him, lies in the mismatch between people s perception and fear of the danger (i.e. war, terrorism, organized violence) that allegedly surrounds them, and the actual reality. This, he argues, can be partly attributed to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is notable that HDAC8 does not have an aromatic hydrophobic pocket corresponding to the one created by His 33 and Phe 155. In HDAC2 this region forms a nice groove, which is not observed in HDAC8, for the indole ring sit in. In HDAC8 the Lys 33 residue, while it has a hydrophobic chain, does not participate in staking interactions. The imidazole ring now adopts a T shaped ПЂ ПЂ stacking interaction between Phe 152 and Phe 208, whereas it was parallel displaced in HDAC2. This less favored double T shaped interaction prevents the formation of a hydrogen bond in the core of HDAC8. ETS2 in HDAC8 also shows the shift of the indole ring to the right side of the gorge to now hydrogen bond with Gly 184, and the oxazole ring also adopts more of a T shaped orientation with the Phe 208 in HDAC8 compared to a parallel ПЂ ПЂ orientation. The oxazole ring is also less of an equal distance between the two Phe rings, favoring an interaction with Phe 208 over an interaction with Phe 152. The school has a very diverse population and over 90% of the students qualify for the free reduced lunch program. Analysis During our interview, Mr. Wolkovitz described most of the at risk students at East Rock Community Magnet School as a student who is struggling in one or more aspect of learning . This response is seemingly broad, however, I believe that he would define an at risk student as being someone that is academically behind the other students in at least one content area: mathematics, reading, writing, science or social studies. Mr. Wolkovitz also suggested that the students receiving special education services are also included in his definition of an at risk student. This response seems quite appropriate considering the grade level of students that Mr. Wolkovitz works with. He tells that Friar that [he] could not send it (here it is again), nor get a messenger to bring it thee, so fearful were they of infection . In job shop scheduling problem (JSSP) environment, there are numbers jobs to be processed on numbers of machines with a certain objective function to be minimized or maximized. In this paper, we have used the GT GA to solve the job shop scheduling to minimize the makespan along with the special type of crossover known as multi step crossover fusion (MSXF). To see wheather we get good results by modifyinng the classical approach using GA, we have compared the result with the standard benchmark instances available. Using this combinations of the techniques, we have got results showing deviations less than 3%. Index Terms Scheduling, Job Shop Scheduling, genetic algorithm. Introduction: The job shop scheduling problem is the combinatorial problem in which there can be many objective functions. In this paper we have selected the makespan to be the objective function. The main objective of any scheduling is to create a schedule which specifies when each task is to begin and what resources it will use that satisfies all the constraints while taking as little overall time as possible. The scheduling in which there is a specific order of a job to be processed by perticular machines is called as job shop scheduling problem. A revenue system is a collection of sources that is used by the government that are extracted through the means of tax and charges. These systems have been trending since the beginning of socioeconomic development and continue to evolve. Revenue systems are evaluated through a set of criteria; economic efficiency, equity, feasibility, and adequacy. It is noted that transparency is also part of the criteria, but it is a separate criterion in itself. Research and evidence examine the set of criteria by focusing on the income taxand how it has been the main source of revenue for the US Federal government. We are Seven, composed by William Wordsworth and published in Lyrical Ballads, is one of Wordsworth darker poems and unlike his characteristic Romantic style. Wordsworth lost his mother at the tender age of eight, coincidentally, the same age as the cottage girl. This poem stems from Wordsworth s personal experiences from when he journeyed across Europe later in life and stumbled across a child near Goodrich Castle, whom is alleged to be the muse behind this poem. The poem depicts the struggle the speaker faces as he tries to verbalize the truth over the deceased cottage girl s brother and sister. The characterizations regarding the speaker s social classand age in regards to his audience, the little girl, contribute to the colliding ideology during this exchange. Wordsworth begins the scene of this poem with the master strolling down a road in the countryside. The silence and loneliness of the poem breaks when the man comes across a little girl frolicking alone. Before any words are exchanged, a description of the child is given, alluding to her social standing among society. Described as having Her hair so thick with many a curl / That cluster ... • 42. What Happens When A Soccer Ball Bounces 1.0Background Theory 1.1Introduction This investigation aims to determine the relationship between air pressure and the bounce height of the ball, and what material (material of a basketball, volleyball and soccer ball) is best suited for a ball in order for it to achieve its greatest bounce height. 1.2Research Questions 1.How does the air pressure inside a ball influence the bounce height/vertical motion of that ball? 2.How does the material of a ball affect the bounce height/vertical motion of that ball? 1.3Theory 1.31 Air Pressure Air pressure can be defined as the force applied by air molecules on the surfaces in and around an object, and is measured in Pascals one Newton per square metre (Pa) or pounds per square inch (psi). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The velocity of the ball increases in the opposite direction as it has started to rebound from the ground with acceleration still pointing up (see Figure 5). This also means that the elastic potential energy is transferring into kinetic energy, although the kinetic energy will be less than previous because some of the energy has been lost to generate heat and sound when the ball lands and deforms. Due to the loss in energy, the ball will not return to its original drop height and creates a bounce height. Figure 5: Stage 5 (Real World Physics Problems, 2016) 6.The ball is now just touching the surface so it has returned to its original shape so all the elastic potential energy has been transferred back into kinetic energy again (see Figure 6). The only force acting on the ball now is gravity, so the acceleration has changed back to its original direction and its velocity is decreasing. Figure 6: Stage 6 (Real World Physics Problems, ... Flexibility Lab Report Measures of Flexibility and Their Correlations to Sit and Reach and Modified Sit and Reach Tests Jacob Palmer University of Puget Sound March 3rd, 2015 Measures of Flexibility and Their Correlations to Sit and Reach and Modified Sit and Reach Tests INTRODUCTION Flexibility can be defined as the capability of something to bend easily without breaking. The flexibility of a person is commonly measured during fitness tests, and the most frequently used test of a person s flexibility is the sit and reach (Jackson and Baker, 1986). Though it is commonly accepted that the sit and reach produces an accurate and relative measure of a person s flexibility, the validity of the test has been examined a number of times (Jackson and ... • 45. The purpose of this experiment was to identify which flexibility measurement tests correlate with the sit and reach and modified sit and reach tests. In more recent studies, statistics have shown that both hip flexion test results and shoulder extension test results were directly correlated to modified sit and reach test results (Mayorga Vega, Merino Marban, and Viciana, 2014). In regards to irrational beliefs, as few I can identify as having held were: She s an adult, she should know better, This makes me shrink, I hate feeling like I m less, and She s overvaluing her position in the family. Ellis then asks us to dispute those irrational beliefs and see where holding them gets us (Engler, 2009. I realized that by holding her to the standard that she is an adult and should know better does not mean that she really does know better. It can be helpful to understand that not every adult is at the same place of emotional maturity, and learn those lessons in different ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. Relationship Between Love And Friendship Essay When discussing love, people generally think about the love between a husband and wife, or the love between a couple in a romantic partnership, and that is one type of love that I will be discussing. In addition to romantic love, there are other types of love also. There is the love we have for our children, our families, and also the love that we have for our friends. All of these types of love share some of the same attributes, however, they have differences also. In reading and researching different types of love, I have found that romantic love and friendship seem to be the most similar in nature, although they have differences, they share a lot of the same attributes. I found that friendship and romantic love tend to have more similarities than differences. In this paper I will examine romantic love and friendship. I will discuss the definitions of the two, and what elements each of these have. I will discuss the different theories of love, and I will compare and contrast the similarities and differences between romantic love and friendship. By friendship, I mean true friendship, or close friendships. I believe that true friendship is very different from causal friendships. True friendships involve a level of emotional intimacy that you do not find with causal friendships or acquaintances. If you look in the dictionary, it will define friendship as the relationship between friends, or the state of being friends (Merriam Webster.com). I do not find that the ... • 48. Iwo Jima Thesis Among the Americans who served on Iwo Island, uncommon valor was a common virtue. Those were the words of Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, who served as an Admiral on the island of Iwo Jima. He was a man who knew many, many soldiers to be his friends on the island. Admiral Nimitz, who he watched fight and die in one of the bloodiest battles of World War ll, was a man of honor and always tried to put his men in the best position possible. This battle is well worth knowing about. Especially because if it hadn t happened, at least 24,000 lives would not have been saved. The U.S marines secured Iwo Jima after sacrificing everything they had to save the lives of others. The heart of these soldiers cannot be described in a simple essay so here is just a little bit of what these courageous troops gave up.... The island changed its name to Lo Island in 2007. Felix W. de Weldon was the sculptor who made the memorial. Joe Rosenthal, a member of the associated press, was the man took the very memorable photo of the soldiers raising the flag in Iwo Jima. This photograph made way to a man on duty in the U.S Navy, and inspired him to construct this memorial. Felix de Weldon served in the U.S Navy and was so moved by the photo he decided to create the life size model that eventually wound up being the memorial we see today. Only three of the five men who originally raised the flag survived this horrific battle. That just goes to show how terrifically messy this battle ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 49. What Is The Relationship Between Simba And The Prodigal Son Analysis There are several biblical concepts found in the Lion King however, this essay will be focusing on the correlation in the Lion King and the prodigal son. Simba, the main character in the lion king can be compared to the wayward son in the parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15:11 32. In the opening scene, we encounter Simba as a baby cub when he is presented to all the animals in Pride Land. Simba literally grows up in front of us, three different actors represent Simba namely, young Simba, teenage Simba and adult Simba. As Simba grows up, he is trained by his dad. It is not said that the prodigal son is trained by his father but it was implied that the father trained both sons because the prodigal son saw the error of his ways and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the case of Simba, this was after he had fought and defeated his uncle and had an heir (he had taken responsibility) and in the case of the prodigal son, there was celebration on his return to his father this implies that with God, salvation is by Grace and not by works (Ephesians 2:8 10), in contemporary society a lot is said about the importance of taking responsibility. This is also important in the bible but Christians believe that responsibility is part of the transformation and formation process which comes after conversion in the New Testament. In the two stories, both fathers would agree that their sons were lost and are now found, they were dead but are now alive. Both sons were home where they belonged. This happened only after they discovered who they really were; both had to come to themselves and grow up to maturity but not without struggles the conversion process of ...
