Abstract During the experiment, there were two tasks performed; the synthesization of luminol and the
display of chemiluminescence. The starting material used was 5 nitro 2,3 dihydrophthalazine 1,4
dione, and after the addition of NaOH, sodium hydrosulfite, acetic acid and water, we were left with
the product of crude luminol.1 Then, the crude luminol was dissolved into a stock solution that

This novel focused on unfortunate characters who were trying to tolerate society s expectations while
finding themselves in the world (James). The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn took place in Missouri,
where many farmers owned slaves to cultivate their crops. Farmers from the lower South made deals
with those of the upper South in hopes to buy their slaves. Many of the slave owners in the upper
South could not resist the offers that were made (Moss). Huckleberry Finn was one of the main

uses the derogatory term, nigger , often in his writing. This word referred to colored people at the time
period because many white people were racist towards people of color. The white people believed
colored people should not have the same rights as they do. When Huck uses the term nigger , he does
not mean any harm. Being from the South, he picked up the habit of using this word from the

My Experience Abroad
What was the best part of your experience abroad?
I don t have enough positive words to describe my experience abroad. Being forced to adapt to a
different academic style made me grow as a student, and being exposed to different cultures has
opened me up to a world I never could have imagined. I was fortunate enough to travel to many
different European countries during my time abroad, and each one was more incredible than the last. I
think the best part of my experience abroad was living in London. I absolutely loved city life. The
tube has to be one of the world s greatest inventions, and it s incredible how small and homey such a
big place can feel when everything is easily connected.
What did you dislike about it?
Overall, my experience abroad was amazing. If I had to pick something to complain about, it would
likely be the third party program that I was a part of. Many students, along with myself, experienced
communication issues with the program provider, and the company didn t often accept responsibility
for the mistakes that they made throughout my time abroad. That being said, these incidents didn t
affect my experience enough that I regret choosing their program. I think in the future, I would just
advise other students to ask more questions and get everything in writing to avoid these problems.

experience, I led the Chantilly Youth Association Pee Wee Soccer program for three years. In this
capacity, I created schedules, reserved fields and gyms, ordered uniforms, arranged for the training of
officials, collected money, and created teams for over 500 young children. I had a vision for the

In order for the E. coli to be transformed, the E.coli must first be made competent. The cells were
made competent by incubating the cells in calcium (2+) and then in cold temperatures. A quick heat
