3. How Did The Cleons Punish The Mytilenes
The Mytileneans lacked trust in the Athenians so they started seeking support out of the alliance.
They turned to the Peloponnesians for support to leave the Athenian s. The Peloponnesians agreed
but couldn t provide much help since they were across the ocean. The Mytileneans took actions into
their own hands and started revolting. Word of the revolt got the Athenians and they were not
happy. They went to Mytilene and took every rebel that could be found. The oligarchic leaders of
Mytilene were taken by Athenian general, Paches. The Mytileneans asked that no one be killed
until they were fairly represented in count in Athens. Once at court, the speech of Cleon persuaded
everyone to follow through with the death and enslavement of the Mytileneans... Show more content

He states, In my opinion, nothing is more contrary to good judgement than these two haste and
anger. Of these, the one usually thoughtless, while the other is ill in formed and narrow minded
(iii:42). Diodotus means that these two emotions, which are shown in Cleons speech, are not
good reasons to punish the Mytileneans. That those emotions shouldn t get in the way of good
judgement. Diodotus brings into the speech that opposing views should not make the citizens
blind to the right decision. He states, A good citizen should not go about terrifying those who
speak against him, but should try to look better in a fair debate (iii:42). Diodotus is speaking
primary to the assembly and telling them that they should not have to fear if they don t agree with
the majority of the assembly, that they must stand for what the believe not what others believe
because then good advisers are lost because of fear. Diodotus goes on to talk about how the
punishment imposed on the Mytileneans would benefit them. He states, Even if I proved them
guilty of terrible injustice, I still would not advise the death penalty for this, unless that was to our
advantage. Even if they deserved to be pardoned, I would not have you pardon them if it did not
turn out to be good for the city (iii:44). He s clearly telling the assembly that if the punishment put
on the Mytileneans doesn t benefit them, then it s not proper judgement for their

4. The Uniform Crime Records And The Federal Bureau Of The...
In the late 1920s, the Committee on Uniform Crime Records was established by the International
Association of the Chiefs of Police (IACP). The goal of the Committee was to develop a
systematic way to measure crime in the United States. The Committee collaborated and decided to
focus on seven (7) specific crimeareas which they felt were the most known crimes and the most
likely to be reported. These crimes were: burglary, robbery, larceny theft, rape, auto theft, murder
and aggravated assault (James Rishard, 2008).
The IACP developed their own definitions of these crimes to ensure uniformity of reporting the
data collected. This information and definitions were published in 1929 in the Uniform Crime
Reporting Manual. The first report of data collected was published later that same year and was
amassed from 400 cities across the 48 contiguous United States, as well as the territories of
Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. This report became known as the Uniform Crime Report
(UCR). The following year, in 1930, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) was tapped to
control the crime data collected for the UCR (James Rishard, 2008).
Since 1930, there have been a few modifications made to the UCR. The FBI began recording the
age, sex and race of those arrested as well as increasing the known crimes reported to law
enforcement from seven (7) categories to eight (8) categories by adding the category of arson
(James Rishard, 2008).

5. Regional Antibiotic Resistance Of Helicobacter Pylori
Review Article
Regional Antibiotic Resistance of Helicobacter pylori
Abstract
Antibiotic resistance is the main factor accounting for unsuccessful eradication of Helicobactor
pylori (H. pylori). Being knowledgeable of the regional resistance rates of H. pylori isolates can
regulate not only the empiric antibiotic therapy but also lead to second line treatment and rescue
regiments. At present, the most common treatment is empiric eradication, thus, global regional
regiment therapies should be based upon regional in vitro antibiotic resistance rates. This approach
is crucial in successfully treating the individual patient. However, in regions where antibiotic
susceptibility testing is unavailable, epidemiological data for secondary H. pylori resistance are
essential for the rational use of antibiotics following several treatment failures in. Primary H. pylori
resistance to clarithromycin is generally less prevalent worldwide than H. pylori resistance to
metronidazole. Secondary resistance that develops in vivo in previously susceptible organisms
has been documented in cases of therapeutic failures. All antibiotics used to treat H. pylori are also
widely employed to treat other bacterial infections, therefore, pretreatment exposure of H. pylori to
inadequate levels of these drugs as well as the use of inadequate regional antibiotics, is associated
with secondary resistance. Herein, we review regional resistance rates of H. pylori isolates to
clarithromycin, metronidazole and

Forced Arranged Marriage It was a bit difficulty for me to choose a topic for this assignment as I
had many in my mind. At the end I decided to write on forced arranged marriage after I came
across a news article that one of my friends sent to me. The news article, which was published on
the news press.com, talked about how a 13 years old Florida girl was married to a man and it was
not a love marriage but an arranged marriage. The girls wedding was arranged by her parents when
she was 13 years old and gave birth at the age of 14 and the father of the girl stated that he wished
his daughter was obedient (Zeitlin, 2017). The news was a bit shocking to me as it took place in
America, but there are

7. European Union Foreign Policy
Enlargement of the European Union (EU) is a contentious issue for the public and scholars alike
due to its novelty, even garnering the phrase sui generis. There are many legitimate reasons for
opposing enlargement, including: loss of sovereignty and autonomy, diverting efforts and resources
from deepening integration between member states, and the stress being put on the institutions and
economies of member states by countries with unfair trade, rampant corruption, and territorial and
ethnic disputes. Regardless of the validity of these criticisms, in terms of effectiveness, enlargement
proves the most powerful foreign policy tool of the European Union. I will contend this by focusing
on the different foreign policy tools available to states and multi state coalitions like the EU:
diplomacy, foreign aid, and military force. Through this examination of available foreign policy
tools, I will contend that enlargement combines these tools resulting in a finished product that is
greater than the sum of its parts.
The EU s foreign policy options include diplomacy, foreign aid, and military force. In terms of
diplomacy, the EU affords itself many advantages through its multilateral decision making. These
advantages allow the EU to use what Ernest J. Wilson III calls smart power, the leadership of the
(PRC), has deployed power resources strategically. The individual policy choices made have
reflected a sophisticated analysis of the world as it is; and they have deployed a balanced,

8. Stereotyping In Anney Boatwright s Bastards Out Of Carolina
As a society we often judge or form opinions based on others according to their gender, race and
class; this is called stereotyping. Stereotyping involves making generalizations to describe or
differentiate a group. Stereotypes are harmful to women and their experiences because they can
cause bad decision making that can lead to negative outcomes. Anney Boatwright in Dorothy
Allison s novel Bastards Out of Carolina is heavily burdened by the stereotype of being identified
as white trash, which leads her to making unorthodox decisions regarding her family in hope of
breaking free of this white trash stereotype. Stereotypes are destructive in the shaping of individuals
lives, because they make us diregard differences between individuals. Since... Show more content

It is evident that gender stereotypes limit women to culturally suitable gender roles and
behaviors while denouncing those who decide not to conform to such roles or behaviors. In Ann
Petry s The Street stereotypes deny Lutie of jobs that will provide financial stability for freedom.
Lutie took the civil service exam and was still only able to get a lower level government job.
Black people are stereotyped as being lazy and unintelligent which only left them with jobs such
as shining shoes and washing clothes and scrubbing floors for years and years...the hard work.
The dirty work. The work that pays the least. (70). Lutie is use to it though because she has no
other option. Women are often stereotyped for only being good for sex. When Lutie applies for
different jobs there is always an alter motif that involves sexual favors. Lutie throughout the
novel was looked at as this sexual being in the eyes of men. For example when she auditions to
become a singer for Mr. Crosse he says she has to go through six weeks of training that will cost
her $125 dollars, which is money Lutie doesn t have and instead of offering a payment plan he
decides to present her with the option of having sex with him. Also, how the Super is sexually
obsessed with Lutie. These examples of the gender stereotype that women are only good for sex
holds Lutie back, because in the eyes of men that is all she is...a sex object. These stereotypes
brought on by society makes it

9. Rules In Ayn Rand s Anthem
Rules have been around since the beginning of time for the purpose of safety and control in a
population. But, what happens when there are more rules in place for the sake of control as
opposed to safety? The novel Anthem shows that when there are more rules for control of
individuals minds, they will be broken because the individuals realize there is more to be
discovered than what they are being told. This can be seen through the plotand climax, as well as in
the characterization of the protagonist and antagonist, and through Equality 7 2521 s first person
point of view.

International 4 8818 as his friend (Rand 13) and how he ends up falling in love with Liberty 5 3000
despite it being forbidden to favor others. (Rand 77) It s especially important that the story was told
in first person because we can see Equality 7 2521 s reaction to what he reads in the library at the
house he and Liberty 5 3000 find after fleeing town. ( Rand 73) Equality 7 2521 beings to refer to
himself as I instead of We . He finally understands that he possess his own body and spirit and
doesn t have to do things for others unless he is willing to.( Rand 74) As a reader you can tell he
was happy he broke all the rules that were oppressing him and realizes he never felt guilty and how

10. Christopher Clombus Is Not A Hero Essay
Introduction
In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue. That s the one date everyone remembers, the date in
virtually every school child s history textbook. But, they leave out pretty much everything about
Columbus and his exploration of the New World. It s the part many people have yet to learn
about. For years, Columbus has been presented to us as a hero. In 1934, President Roosevelt even
gave Columbus his own holiday. To this day, we celebrate his discovery of America. What is found
in history textbooks now, have seemed to show another side of Christopher Columbus, a side that
they wouldn t dare teach in elementary school. It s the rest of Columbus tale of discovery . This
paper will show you that Christopher Columbus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Indians taught them how to grow food and use the land to survive. Columbus and his men
would trade a lot with the Indians and they all lived happily ever after. That s pretty much where
our textbook stopped. I have never learned anything else about Columbus until now. There is so
much that my third grade teacher left out and didn t explain.
REASONS FOR HIM NOT BEEN A HERO Columbus gets a lot of credit for discovering land
that already had people living on it, a land that has already been encountered by other people
way before Columbus was even born. In 70,000 to 12,000 B.C. Siberia explorers sailed to
Alaska. In 10,000 600 B.C., Siberians also went to Canada and the state we now call New
Mexico. A little more recently the Vikings in 1000 1350 came from Greenland and Iceland. They
traveled to Labrado, Baffin Land, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Cape Cod and further south.
Around 1311 and 1460 explorers from West Africa came across to Haiti, Panama, and Brazil
(Loewen 48). These were only a few of the many encounters of the Americas. A result of these
explorations was the establishment of Indian villages and the life they began to lead.
The fact that Columbus didn t actually discover America isn t the idea that is most disturbing when
considering misleading history that children are taught. It is the information that was kept from us
while younger that now should be revealed, since we are at the age that we can comprehend and

11. CAA Rating
The Classification and Rating Administration (CARA) is a purely voluntary system supported
by The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and the National Association of Theatre
Owners (Crecente). The CARA is funded by film distributors and producers who pay a fee to
have their film rated ( MPAA Movie Ratings ). The debate on whether the CARA system works
or not is highly debatable. I, personally, think that the system is very functional. This system
provides parents and other audiences with a recommended rating for a movie. It is a person s
choice on whether or not to deem that rating as appropriate enough for children or others but, they
at least have a general idea or understanding of what the film could entail. The CARA system rates
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, not having the film rated does make it more difficult when putting it into theaters. Many
U.S. theaters use the rating system when showing movies and an unrated movie may not be
allowed ( What Do Movie ). Another great thing about the CARA rating system is that they give
their rating feedback to the producer of the film, this allows the producer to make changes to the
film, if they decide to, as a way of changing the rating before it enters theaters (Crecente). DVDs
are also supposed to stay with the same rating when released as the film was in theaters, because
they are not considered separate products ( MPAA Movie Ratings ). In 2007, The Federal Trade
Commission described the CARA rating system as a useful and important tool that parents
increasingly use to help them make informed decisions (qtd in Crecente). I also think that the
CARA system is a valuable and functional resource. This system allows audiences the guidelines
to the content of movies. Displaying evidence to an audience of what they can expect from a film.
The CARA rating system truly is a great tool to be utilized by all audiences when deciding on what
to watch at the movies, or at

14. New York City Analysis
New York City is the place where a person can be intimate with thousands of people all at once,
without having to talk or interact with them at all. Whether a person is standing in a crowded
subway cart or simply walking around Times Squares or Grand Central, it is almost impossible to
get around the city without having to see or engage with another person. New York Cityblends the
concepts of privacy and intimacy, creating an environment where one can be immersed and
connected, in what E. B. White describes, as a compact arena comprising of gladiators,
evangelists, actors, traders and merchants, yet also feel separated, or apathetic, to the city and its
inhabitants as well. Whether it is the eighteen inches described by White or simply sitting next
to a stranger on the subway, what makes New York City iconic and different from other cities is
how its residents a mixture of locals that grew up in the city, the tourists that visit it, and newly
arriving residents from across the world interact with one another in respect to city life. If a
person tries, he or she can avoid talking to anyone all day, despite the multitudes of people he or
she encounters. On the other extreme, he or she can also get the numbers, or contact information,
of hundreds of people as well. In this perspective, New York City has not changed much since
White wrote his book Here is New York New York City still represents and embodies the concept of

15. The Hound Of The Baskervilles By Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Essay
Most often, people have an image in their mind when they think of detectives, whether the image
is a man in a trench coat holding a magnifying glass, a beloved childhood character like Nancy
Drew or the Hardy Boys, or the classic Victorian detective. While all of these may hold true, one
specific person comes to mind at the mention of a detective, Mr. Sherlock Holmes. Along with
images of detectives come preconceived ideas of what a detective or mystery novel should be or
what it should contain. Within the genre, numerous authors have stood out among the others and
set their own standard for these works of literature. In The Hound of the Baskervillesby Sir Arthur
Conan Doyle, Doyle employs juxtaposed settings, descriptive imagery, and the symbolism that each
convey to establish an immense attention to detail which maximizes the effectiveness of his
writing in the genre of detection in this classic Sherlock Holmes story.
Throughout the novel, Doyle sets up an immense contrast between the settings of the story which
acts as a guide to clearly distinguish between the locations and give insight into their symbolism.
In The Hound of the Baskervilles there are two distinct locations in which the story takes place,
London and Dartmoor. London is where the story begins, where Sherlock and Watson are first
introduced to the case, and where things first start to seem peculiar. Though these first events that
set up the mystery of the novel take place in London, London is a symbol of

16. H. G. Wells was a Famous English Author of Science-fiction...
Wells, H. G. (1866 1946), was a famous English novelist, historian, science writer, and author of
science fiction stories. Wells s novel Tono Bungay (1909) best reveals his varied talents. The novel,
a story of the dishonest promotion of a patent medicine, contains social criticism tinged with satire.
In it, Wells described trips in airplanes and submarines at a time when such journeys seemed like
science fiction.
Herbert George Wells was born on Sept. 21, 1866, in Bromley, Kent (now part of London). He
drew on his lower middle class background in some of his finest novels, including Kipps (1905)
and The History of Mr. Polly (1909). His training as a scientist is reflected in his imaginative
science fiction stories. The Time Machine (1895) describes the adventures of a man who can
transport himself into the future. Wells wrote about an invasion from Mars in The War of the
Worlds (1898) and described a fictional utopia in The Shape of Things to Come (1933).
Wells supported social reform in the novel The New Machiavelli (1911), in the nonfiction study
The Work, Wealth and Happiness of Mankind (1932), and in other books. He wrote The Outline
of History (1920), a story of the development of the human race. The book shows Wells s
knowledge of biology and his liberal attitude in politics. With his son Geoffrey and Sir Julian
Huxley, Wells wrote The Science of Life (1929 1930), a four volume discussion of the principles of
biology. Wells told his life story in Experiment in

17. The Political Landscape Of France
The political landscape in France had been shifting for a long time before the Enlightenment. The
economic and military gains made by Louis XIV, the Sun King, ultimately crippled the country
later when the Estates General failed to overthrow the French government democratically and
peacefully. Two great thinkers, Baron de Montesquieu and Jean Jacques Rousseau, both paved the
way for the French and other Enlightenment revolutions during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Although neither of the men saw the manifestations of their ideas in the American or French
Revolutions, their influence is unquestionable to these movements. Without the political and
economic atmosphere in France and Europe during the 18th and 19th century, the ideas and beliefs
of thinkers like Montesquieu and Rousseau would not have affected the Enlightenment or other
vital political movements during that era.
Charles Louis de Secondat, Baron de la Brede et de Montesquieu was born the 18th of January
1689. In this same year, England would undergo the Glorious Revolution, which further removed
power from the monarchy and into Parliament. Ironically, one of Montesquieu s most well known
ideas followed the same vein of thought as the Glorious Revolution. His life began in Southwest
France where Montesquieu grew up with his aristocratic family. As part of his education,
Montesquieu studied law at the Catholic College of Juilly. During this period, some stark changes
occurred in France. In 1715, King Louis XIV

The word which he has used to define this prefix is beyond (Bhabha, 1994) and defined that in this
world beyond, there is no direction.
Postmodernism is an approach that carries with it a wide variety of meanings, interpretations and
phenomenons. It may refer to a concept, a practice, a life style, a new period etc. It is all
permeating concept and has stretched in all directions across different borders, different debates,
different disciplines and different discursive boundaries. Dick Hebdige gives a periodic list of the
definitions of postmodernism in Hiding in the Light: On Images and Things.

21. Marbury Versus Madison
| | | | Marbury versus Madison Sarah McClam MARBURY VERSUS MADISON In the weeks
after John Adams lost his bid for re election to Thomas Jefferson in 1800, the Federalist Congress
increased the number of circuit courts. Adams placed Federalist judges in these new positions. One
of the justices of the peace, William Marbury, filed a writ of mandamus demanding Secretary of
State James Madison deliver the appointments. The Supreme Court led by John Marshall denied the
request citing part of the Judiciary Act of 1789 as unconstitutional. This historic court case
established the concept of Judicial Review or the ability of the Judiciary Branch to declare a law
unconstitutional. This case brought the Judicial Branch of the government... Show more content on

As part of the Revolution of 1800, President Thomas Jefferson and his Democratic Republican
followers launched a series of attacks against the Federalist controlled courts. The new
Democratic Republican controlled Congress easily eliminated most of the midnight judges by
repealing the Judiciary Act in 1802. They impeached Supreme Court justice Samuel Chase, but
acquitted him amidst inner party squabbles. The Chase acquittal coupled with Marshall s
impeccably argued decision put an end to the Jeffersonian attack (Marbury verses Madison,
1803). Some of the issues that came up and the ruling were as followed: 1. Does Marbury have a
right to the commission? Yes. Marbury has a right to the commission. The order granting the
commission takes effect when the Executive s constitutional power of appointment has been
exercised, and the power has been exercised when the last act required from the person
possessing the power has been performed. The grant of the commission to Marbury became
effective when signed by President Adams. 2. Does the law grant Marbury a remedy? Yes. The
law grants Marbury a remedy. The very essence of civil liberty certainly consists in the right of
every individual to claim the protection of the laws whenever he receives an injury. One of the first
duties of government is to afford that protection. Where a specific duty

22. The Epic Of Legend And Heroic Figures
The Journey To Greatness For centuries, tales of legends and heroic figures were written in
Greece. These tales were about everything from the conquering of unknown lands to the quarrels
of god like beings. Although, these legends are widely praised for bravery in fearless leaders ,
Ancient Greeks had another theme of importance. Tales such as The Odysseyfocused on heroes that
still possesed fatal flaws and were forced to accept their imperfections. In this way, the hero
learns to embody excellence in all things including their already given strength in battle, this is
key component of most heroic characters, Greek writers believed that a true heroic figure must
well rounded in all aspects. The Odyssey illustrates Odysseus s journey to his homeland, but at
the same time also contained his personal journey to excellence. Throughout his voyage, the epic
portrays the motif of overcoming hubris as an action of becoming a humble and well rounded
leader. Odysseus gained the skills that he needed in order to help the people of his city Ithaca,
grow as well. This ideology remains true today in the sense that a leader must possesses
excellence in all qualities in order to make the country in which he rules excellent; today society s
citizens must follow a leader like Odysseus. When a leader possesses arete that then influences the
community he leads to embody those same traits as well. Throughout his journey, Odysseus grew in

because of the ability to reach large numbers of prospective consumers at the same time. Children
watch the commercials that flood the television and desire the toys that are featured in these

investment is measurable and the method has proven effective for decades. This option should not
be pursued by itself because consumers are more sophisticated in their search for goods and
services, even children search websites to obtain product information and rely on online
communities to shape their opinions of consumer products. Hasbro Inc. also has the option of
marketing G.I. Joe with additional material included, such as a short movie on DVD. This option
is good because it will expose newer generations to G.I. Joe s storyline and create new excitement
about the product line. Production costs for the DVD option could also prove to be expensive for
Hasbro Inc. and possibly not accomplish its full intent. This option could spark interest in the
product, but should not be pursued because it would not fully integrate the brand into its target

In The Handmaid s Tale, much use is made of imagery; to enable the reader to create a more

particular, Atwood uses many images involving flowers and plants. The main symbolic image
that the flowers provide is that of life; in the first chapter of the novel Offred says ...flowers:
these are not to be dismissed. I am alive. Many of the flowers Offred encounters are in or around
the house where she lives; it can be suggested that this array of floral life is a substitute for the

27. Routine Activities Theory
According to the routine activities theory, the cause of crime should not be attributed to social
causes, such as poverty, inequality, and unemployment, rather it holds that crime is the result of
opportunity. The more opportunity there is for crime, the more likely that crime will occur in that
specific area. However, in order for there to be an increased opportunity for crime, the three
necessary conditions of this theory must be present: a likely offender, a suitable target, and the
absence of capable guardianship. Consequently, the routine activities theory is a strong explanation
for crime in Ames, Iowa. According to Area Vibes, Ames has crime rates that are 25% lower than
the Iowa mean and 37% lower than the nation s mean. Yet, while Ames has relatively low crime
rates, crime is not non existent, and poverty, unemployment, and inequality are unsuccessful
attempts to explain it. Home of Iowa State University, Ames ranked third in the nation for Best
College Town last year, and the area continues to grow not only in population, but also in
diversity and opportunity as over 35,000 students pour in from all over the world every year.
Thus, it seems that crime in Ames is best explained by the growing opportunity for crime as the
routine activities theory holds, rather than unfavorable social conditions. In a community with
relatively low crime rates, it can be difficult to point out areas in Ames that are at the most risk for
crime. However, after looking at crime data and

lake that had started and upheld and would continue to uphold the Heath family legacy for every
conceivable generation to come. Ice covered every inch of it. If the snow had been masters at
reflecting the glorious rays of sunlight, the ice sheets were gods. Fjola could hardly tell where
the atmosphere stopped and the frozen lake began everything she could see for yards and yards
was mirrored perfectly by the ice. The whites and blues and yellows and faint dotted greens ran

landscape was hard and sharp and crisp beneath a world coated by a facade of softness and
kindness and love. But most of all was its sheer emptiness. Fjola was not about to let such a
magnificent scene escape her grasp. She was up and scrambling out of the car far before her
father had even parked the car, gathering her supplies and flinging herself from its interior out into
the cold, breezy environment that lay in wait for her small presence. By the time her dad had

Since ancient times, democracy is seen as the most viable solution when it comes to matters of
governance. Aristotle saw democracy as the pinnacle of the benevolent types of the government
forms that existed in his time. But what is it that makes democracy better than the others? To find
an answer to that question, one must first take a look at the opposition. One must understand what
the other types of governmenttypes lack that democracy has. There are many types of governance.
In this essay, three types of governmental forms, aside from democracy, have been chosen as a
comparison medium. Monarchy, Dictatorship and Theocratic governments. Monarchy is a type of
government in which sovereignty is held by ,in most cases, one individual until their death or

When in a political environment the election of different governments can lead to frequent changes

considered by some as to why a democracy is not the best kind of government for a developing

Here Whitman uses the metaphor of the princes to compare the Americans to children. He often
speaks of the authority as the kings, and in calling the Americans princes, the sons of kings, he is
calling them immature for fight. Whitman is a pacifist and uses this metaphor to support the theme
that the immature can fight, it takes true maturity to settle ones differences because, children are
immature therefore children argue and fight. which is why he compares the adults children, to
emphasize that the civil war is an unnecessary chaos and can be resolved peacefully.

The sport/activity that I have chosen to talk about is marching band. Technically, this would be
my second year doing it but I am looking forward to doing marching band and jazz band later in
high school. So, I have chosen this activity to talk about because it s actually really fun and
entertaining. Many people would watch you, maybe, play one of their favorite songs while
walking down the streets of their hometown. Yea, it could get dark in that town, but it s better to be
doing it, than to not. There are many things to talk about with this sport like preparing, positioning,
and errors. To be honest there are a lot of errors in marching band, and it can get very detailed and
confusing.
Preparation for Accomplishment of Activity Preparation for marching band can be fairly simple.
First, you obviously need to get your instrument and start putting it together once in a quiet, non
distracting place. If your instrument is a woodwind, it would do you a whole lot better if you were
to wet your reed. If you have a brass instrument, it would help your ametuar to do some buzzing
excersises. Percussion would be able to manage their 5 stroke roll better and their paradiddles
better if they do left to right and right to left drills. After your instrument is put together, practice
your songs. If you ve got that down, practice marching. Starting with your right foot, and keeping a
steady beat. In marching you have to walk with a steady pace as the rest of your group and/or

The trachea is an organ particularly prone to infections as it functions to transport atmospheric air,
containing a multitude of airborne bacteria and viruses, to the lungs. When these microorganisms

the secretions from the trachea and excretes them through the mouth. Therefore it is important that
when generating a TET appropriate cell expansion and differentiation occurs. There are several

Do rights exist for the agency worker? The Regulations have been a slow burner as the Directive
was first drafted in 2002, with the possibility of the draft never evolving. The length of time for
the AWR 2010 to be passed emphasises the struggle for the agency worker to obtain the rights
within the UK as well as Europe. Despite opposition from British government, other Member
States initially supported the Directive. This can be extracted from how the agency worker is

type of worker who should have more, if not equal rights, to those there on a permanent basis. This

This reiterates the above, demonstrating that the Member States were complacent where the
rights of the agency worker were concerned, and how vulnerable the agency worker was within

with a scapegoat to terminate, or employ, an agency worker without the same implications that
are attached to a permanent employee from day one. The theoretical theory of the agency worker
gives the understanding that they are expected to cement over the cracks and cover the duties of
others that are on long term leave, for example maternity. The agency worker is a rapid solution to

44. An Interpretation Of Two Behavior Therapy Methods For...
An interpretation of two behavior therapy methods for patients with Social Phobia
Social Phobia is the fear of being embarrassed or being judged by others. This fear restricts the
person from living their everyday lives. It is also characterized as a type of anxiety disorder. A
greater part of patients who inhibit this disorder report encountering adverse images, these negative
images are connected to memories from the past in which the person experienced a traumatic event.
The behavior therapy used in this article is imagery rescripting (IR), this therapy concentrates on
altering the significance of the undesirable memories. Therefore, the objective of imagery
rescripting is to lessen the discomfort of the past memories that affect present experiences. This is
done by identifying their negative events as secluded events in the past, therefore, the negative
experiences the patient encountered in the past no longer hold the focal point in patient s life or
anyone in their environment. Imagery rescripting is distant from other therapies because this
therapy restores the essence of the patient s traumatic memory by proposing a compassionate
mindset.
Six patients were extracted from successive referrals for anxiety disorder from PsyQ, a mental
health center located in Netherlands. Patients categorize from 21 to 47 years, both male and
female, having 1 to 18 years of duration of social phobia, as well as having good standing levels of
education. Each patient is struggling with

45. Extraterrestrial Life Or Alien Life
For a long time, there has been a dispute on whether or not extraterrestrial life or alien life exists.
The discovery may not be in the near future, but it is more than likely to happen. Someday we
might be able to identify a planet and say that it is just like Earth. Finding life outside of Earth is
within reach. Extraterrestrial life is not a myth and there are many reasons why such as evidence
from National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), discovery of Earth like planets that
orbit a sunlike star, and discoveries on planets closer to Earth. Many scientists believe that we are
one of many species in the universe that exist on more planets than just Earth. It would be silly if
someone did not believe that there is life on some of the billions of planets to exist in our galaxy
alone. NASA has found evidence of another potential solar system. This is a collection of stars
orbiting around a single star and is located around 39 light years from Earth. Nasa s telescope
team said it had found a system of seven planets that were all similar in size to Earth (Gaffey). The
planets formed farther out from Trappist 1 and then moved inward. This makes it more likely that
they could contain some form of water. Volatile compounds (molecules that easily turn to gas) like
water are usually concentrated further out in star systems. The fourth, fifth, and six planets orbit in
the star s habitable zone so they are particularly likely to have liquid water on their surface. This

46. Pe Peg Ratio

пЃЅ пЃЅ
The P/E ratio (price to earnings ratio) of a stock is a measure of the price paid for a share relative to
the annual net income or profit earned by the firm per share. It is a financial ratio used for
valuation. P/E ratio shows current investor demand for a company share. P/E ratio has units of
years. P/E is the most popular metric of stock analysis. The reciprocal of the PE ratio is known as
the earnings yield.
пЃЅ
There are various P/E ratios, all defined as:
пЃЅ
P/E ratio =

lower PEG means that the stock is undervalued more. A crude analysis suggests that companies
with PEG values between 0 to 1 may provide higher returns.
Let s say you re analyzing a stock trading with a P/E ratio of 40. The projected earning growth for
the next year is 10%. So the PEG for company XYZ is 4, which is derived from dividing 40 by 10%.
How to interpret the result ????????
47. пЃЅ
пЃЅ
Investors may prefer the PEG ratio because it explicitly puts a value on the expected growth in
earnings of a company. The PEG ratio can offer a suggestion of whether a company s high P/E
ratio reflects an excessively high stock price
The PEG ratio is less appropriate for measuring companies without high growth. A company s
growth rate is an estimate. It is subject to the limitations of projecting future events. For companies
with zero expected growth, the ratio is undefined , and for companies with negative growth, the
result (a negative PEG ratio) may be

49. Japanese Internment History
Essay on How Objective a Topic is Presented in an Informational Text
Despite evidence pointing to the innocence of Japanese immigrants living in America, racial bias
and irrational fears lead to the internment of thousands of Japanese Americans. When Pearl Harbor
is attacked by the Japanese, wartime paranoia and discrimination spread through the US like
wildfire. Fueled by fear of espionage, Franklin D. Roosevelt issues an order that relocates Japanese
Americans to internment camps for an indefinite amount of time. The PBS article Children of the
Camps: Internment History includes objective facts and sources to provide the audience with
information while also utilizing word choice and language to maintain only the author s point of
view. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, President Franklin K. Roosevelt issued Executive
order 9066 which permitted the military to circumvent the constitutional safeguard of American
citizens in the name of national defense. . Executive Order 9066 is an official document from the
World War Two time period. An official document is a reliable primary source to get information
such as dates from since the government filters out any false information before releasing it to the
public. Another document the article takes information is the Civil Liberties Act of 1988, a bill
that admits the injustice done to the Japanese Americans who were relocated and mandated
Congress to pay each victim of internment $20,000 in reparations and was sent with a letter with
the President Ronald Reagan s signature Information taken from a bill passed by Congress and

50. Broken Kneed
Looking at the forelegs, they should be well muscled. Knees should be flat, large and an identical
pair. Scars on the knees are not desirable as this could indicate the horse is prone to trips or falls a
horse with scars on the front of his or her knees is referred to as broken kneed .
When looking at the cannon bone it should be strong, short and fairly thick.
A measurement can be carried out to give an indication of the horse s substance , the amount of
bone a horse has to determine a horse s weight carrying capacity.
A horse with insufficient bone will be risking injury within the joints, ligaments, hooves and
skeletal structure.
Is the horse required for sports involving concussion impacts such as eventing or show jumping? a

An excessive dishing action where one or both front hooves are thrown outwards is undesirable as
this can put strain on the fetlock joint.
The pasterns have to cope with absorbing shocks. They should neither be too long or too short, if
they are too long there is a potential structural weakness and will be prone to injury or strains. If
they are too short they will not absorb concussion well.
They should possess a gentle slope, not upright with too little slope or showing too much slope.
Pasterns often tend to be slightly shorter on the hind legs compared to the fronts.
Hooves provide traction, shock absorption and support. They contain structures that provide blood
flow through the lower leg.
The hooves should be strong, well formed and exact matching pairs. Facing forwards, not inwards
(pigeon toed) as this will cause excess strain on the outer limb structures of the hoof, neither should
they turn outwards (splayed).
Small boxy hooves can be prone to disease so this is

51. Cause Of Wildfiress
Fiery holocausts ravage and burn six million acres each year in the US. People influence the start
and process, and they may even be 90% of wildfire cause. Even though humans are a large cause
of fires, they are also a great force in extinguishing them. Wildfires also help the ecosystems in dry
territory. People may start fires, but the fires can bring a positive impact. Over the years, many
catastrophic wildfires, including the 2017 northern California, the Great Fireof 1910, the 1985 NC
Allen fires, and the 2004 Alaska fires, have occurred. Although many factors influence cause,
spread, and stop of wildfires, humans overall have the greatest impact.
Nature is generally known to cause fires by lighting or other natural causes, but humans are
actually the leading cause of wildfires. According to Conserve Energy Future, nature causes only
about 10 percent of wildfires by ways such as lighting or volcanic eruption (Causes, Effects and
Solutions to Wildfires). According to Jennifer Balch, humans cause eight out of ten wildfires
(Balch). Humans have a considerably larger influence on the start of wildfires compared to nature
itself. Actions such as burning debris, engine sparks, and arson, which is setting fire to property, or
any other objects, with the intention to damage them, cause fires. Arson, just by itself, may be
responsible for 30 percent of the wildfires (Causes, Effects, and Solutions to Wildfires). Because
humans are the main cause of wildfires, they have the

52. As I Lay Dying Character Analysis
The eye is the lamp of the body. If your vision is clear, your whole body will be full of light ().
Ever since the creation of mankind, the eyes exist as the window to the soul. Taking one look into
a person s eyes can leave you with more knowledge than ever thought imagined. Love, anger, lust,
hatred, sympathy and guilt can all express themselves in just one glance. William Faulknerknew of
this interesting trait and applied it to his 19___ s novelAs I Lay Dying . Each character possesses
their own unique traits and personalities which drive them to fulfill their end mission: burying their
mother in Jefferson. To express their personalities, Faulkner incorporates a variety of similes and
metaphors all relating to the eyes. This technique sheds light of their selfish ways. These selfish
qualities, not the love for their mother, cause the Bundren children to succeed in their mother s
dying wish.

However, Jewel has a much different view of their journey. Jewel sees it as a way to make up to
his mother for not being there when she passed (Faulkner 48). Therefore, he does everything in
his power to get her there . . . including running into a burning barn and nearly drowning to save
her coffin (Faulkner 154 and 221). These acts, although seemingly heroic, arise as truly selfish and
shallow. These shallow acts can exist through Jewels pale eyes which look like wood (Faulkner 4).
This simile compares Jewel to a simple substance which mirrors how his actions towards his
mother are self absorbed. Wood is two dimensional and shallow. When Jewels refuses to let the
past go and continuously holds on to the idea of upsetting his mother, he in turn works for his
own benefit. Jewel seeks his mother s approval out of self absorption and not out of love; he acts
shallow and hollow like wood. In turn, Jewel ignores his siblings and continues to push towards
