 Understand who you are:
what are your strengths & weaknesses
what inspires you and what pisses you off
what are your key achievements and lessons leaned
 Analyze your previous emotional experiences:
 what was your emotion
 how it impacted your decision/behavior
 what caused that emotion
 why it caused that emotion
 Pour concrete for your self-confidence foundation
Self-Management
 ‘Catch’ your emotional reactions early
 Trace the trigger and the reason
 Link emotional & rational reactions
 Be honest with yourself
 Take responsibility for your own feelings and behavior
 Be open and give feedback
Emotions Management
• Recognize your emotion
• Do not suppress – find a constructive way to express
• Work on your physical health (enough sleep, regular sports,
healthy diet)
• Write a letter
• Find hobby, travel, learn sth new
• Talk to a friend or to a stranger
• Dance, sing, do sth crazy
• Meditate
• Find sth positive even if it may seem ridiculous
Emotions Management
Toxic emotions destroy your contact with reality and distort your perception of real facts.
• Anger: remove yourself from the situation until your anger subside
• Envy: test your comparison criteria and ‘comparison others’ for logical reasoning
• Fear/insecurity: go back to self-awareness, create back-up
plans, think of worst-case scenarios and mitigations
• Guilt: check if the fault is yours, forgive yourself, plan how
to learn from the situation, patch up conflict
• Helplessness/frustration: verify facts, seek inspiration,
find a coach or a counselor, remove demotivators

 Find direction: what do you want/need to do?
 Set SMART goals
 Develop plans and set intensity
 Be aware of hygiene & motivating factors
 Let yourself be weak sometimes
…but do not find excuses all the time
 Celebrate little victories

Emotions Management Toxic emotions destroy your contact with reality and distort your perception of real facts. • Anger: remove yourself from the situation until your anger subside • Envy: test your comparison criteria and ‘comparison others’ for logical reasoning • Fear/insecurity: go back to self-awareness, create back-up plans, think of worst-case scenarios and mitigations • Guilt: check if the fault is yours, forgive yourself, plan how to learn from the situation, patch up conflict • Helplessness/frustration: verify facts, seek inspiration, find a coach or a counselor, remove demotivators

Motivation  Find direction: what do you want/need to do?  Set SMART goals  Develop plans and set intensity  Be aware of hygiene & motivating factors  Let yourself be weak sometimes …but do not find excuses all the time  Celebrate little victories  Be open to changes  Stay optimistic  Learn to laugh at your fails
