Hybrid Gadolinium Oxide Nanoparticles As Contrast Agents...
Hybrid Gadolinium Oxide Nanoparticles as Contrast Agents for CT Imaging
Name: Xinyi Li
Number: 250825492 Supervisor: Prof Elizabeth Gillies
1.Introduction
X ray computed tomography (x ray CT) is a technology that uses computer processed x rays to
produce tomographic images of specific areas of the scanned object, allowing the user to see inside
without cutting. Medical imaging is the most common application of x ray CT. Its cross sectional
images are used for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in various medical disciplines. Medical
contrast medium (or contrast agent) is a substance used to enhance the contrast of structures or
fluids within the body in medical imaging. Iodine and barium are the most common ... Show more

Sodium hydroxide solution then added to apply a protocol and the solution was heated at 140
В°C for 1 h and at 180 В°C for 4 h. The alkaline hydrolysis of Gdcl3 should be carried out in
substoichiometric conditions, too.
3.1.2 Enlargement of Core
Gadolinium chloride salt will be placed in 150 mL of DEG at 60 В°C under vigorous stirring
overnight. A solution containing nanoparticles then added to play the role of nucleation sites.
Sodium hydroxide solution is added and the solution is heated at 140 В°C for 1 h and at 180 В°C
for 4 h. The increase of the core size will be obtained by iterative steps.
3.1.3 Encapsulation
In this step , gadolinium oxide nanoparticles will be embedded in a silane shell.
First we will apply a modified polyol protocol by coupling reaction between PEG and one unit of
carboxy.4
Afterward, a solution containing silane dissolved in 291 ОјL of DMSO will be prepared as a shell
precursor and stirred overnight. Silane shell growth was induced by hydrolysis condensation of
convenient precursors in presence of nanoparticles5 and controlled by a sequential addition of shell
precursors and aqueous triethylamine solution to a sol of Gd2O3 nanoparticles dispersed in DEG.
3.1.4 Purification
Dialysis against ethanol will be applied to purify naked and silane coated nanoparticles.

Kudler Fine Foods Is The Best Stores Around
Individual: INDP, Part 2 Kevin Tucker NTC/362 June 15, 2015 Professor Stanley Kuchel
Introduction The Kudler Fine Foods is one the best stores around. They have come a long way in
such a short period of time. They, however have out grown their old network infrastructure and
they are in in dire need of an enterprise wide upgrade to their stores as they will start to lose
money if this does not happen very soon.. The strategic goals of the enterprise network are to
introduce new technologies in data collection, company communication, and information protection
while providing the best data speeds and network access and use friendly access. This is very
important because if this is done correctly, this will increase revenue... Show more content on

All of the sites in the corporation are using the same configuration of workstations, servers, and
standalone ups. All of the networks have one way of communicating to the internet and that is
by 10base T Ethernet. The bus network is very cost effective to set up, but it can very difficult to
trouble shoot because if the backbone goes down the entire network will have an outage. The
other aspect of this network that is a pain is that fact that if two systems are sending a signal, at
the exact same time to one another the network will have signal collision, meaning that both
signals will drop. In order to prevent this from happening (CSMA/CD) or carrier sense multiple
access with collision detection will be set up. This in effect will put the network into a listen
mode to prevent the collisions from taking place.. Network Response time One of the major
goals is to improve the lack of response time and latency, which is currently being experienced
on the network. This is a very critical issue because it is very slow and there is no other means of
communication to the internet or other sites. The first problem of response times, latency that are
being seen on the entire network are all related and are being caused by not only the slow network
speeds, but the out of date systems being used. The response time is measured by the time that it
takes for a system to respond to user

Apple Bees Thesis
It was a normal Tuesday night and my family and I walked into the local Apple Bee s, one of our
go to restaurants because of the wide variety, good service, and great taste. The waitress led us to
our table with a big smile on her face. She began by telling us her name, saying the specials for
the day, and taking our drink orders. She then left while she got us our drinks, and she gave us
time to look at the menu. She came back with our drinks and took our orders. Before she left
once again to put our orders in, my dad presented her our coupon; buy one entrГ©e get an

I have received bad service because of the early reveal of the coupon at more than just Apple Bee
s, it has also happened at Chevy s, one of the Mexican restaurants in town. While this is not
apparent to everyone, next time you give the waiter or waitress your coupon before receiving
your food pay special attention to the service you receive. Your food will likely take longer to
arrive, and your waiter or waitress also will be less willing to help you. Waiters and waitresses
are less willing to put on the fake smile after you present the coupon and instead they pour more
of their attention and care into the other tables they are waiting on. Both the waiter or waitress
and the cooks know that your meal will cost less with the coupon, and that they in turn will get a
smaller tip, so why would they give you as good of service as the person who is paying full price
for their meal? The person paying full price is probably more willing to give a larger tip as well,
therefore, the waiter and waitress will give more attention to them. Despite if you agree with me
or not, know this; next time you are at a restaurant wait until you have received all your food
before presenting your coupon. This will ensure you that you will receive better service, and your

Honesty In The Canterbury Tales
Honesty is the best policy; a phrase that s been around nearly as long as lies themselves. The
book; The Canterbury Tales by Geofferey Chaucer displays how the dishonesty of society is
timeless. This is first displayed in The General Prologue through the descriptions of the pilgrims.
This is also shown in The Miller s Tale and The Reeve s Tale . Chaucer also conveys that truth is
preferable to lies by explaining what terrible punishments befell those who did lie. While those who
lied did succeed and profit from their lies; eventually the lies caught up to them and they end up
paying a price greater than what they earned.
The General Prologue briefly describes each of the pilgrims and The Host. The General
Prologue also includes brief commentary from the narrator; Chaucer. This commentary acts as
characterization for all the pilgrims. But the commentary, besides establishing each character,
exhibits Chaucer s opinion on each of the characters, and their flaws. Many of the pilgrims are
describes as dishonest or corrupt. A prime example of this is the Prioress who is describes as
Pleasant and friendly in her ways, and straining To counterfeit a courtly kind of grace, A stately
bearing fitting to her place, And to seem dignified in all her dealings (pp 6, 7). These two lines are
the only lines that betray the Prioress, revealing that her dignified persona is merely a façade. A
liar besides the Prioress is the Pardoner who had, in a glass, a rubble of pigs bones. And

Organized Crime During the Roaring Twenties
Organized Crime During the Roaring Twenties The 1920 s, or the Roaring Twenties as this epoch
is often referred to as, was a major turning point in America history. During this time period many
American citizens believed and even acted out of hedonism. This mindset of the general population
and along with other dilemmas led to a stunning and rapid increase in the amount of organized crime
. The sudden uproar of organized crimeduring the 1920 s was caused mainly by prohibition that
gave rise to many street gangs, all with one man at its helm, which caused a massive increase in
police forces. During the 1920 s, the eighteenth amendment was enacted making the sale and
consumption of alcohol illegal throughout the entire United States. This time period is referred to
as the age of prohibition. Although the sale of alcohol was illegal many people still wanted to
drink. This desire gave rise to many criminal organizations that would later specialize in the illegal
act of bootlegging. These criminal organizations did not just stop at bootlegging. They soon
realized the amount of money they could make so they quickly began to open their very own
businesses for heinous criminal activities. These places where known as speakeasies and where
created to better criminal organizations profits by illegally marketing alcohol. Along with the illegal
marketing of alcohol, criminal organizations also opened houses of prostitution and began to
participate in extremely dangerous gangwars,

Summary Of Congestive Heart Failure
Introduction
Over the years there has been some controversy on defining congestive heart failure due to a vast
variability of the clinical signs and symptoms (Coronel, 2001). The American Heart Association
defines it as a complex clinical syndrome that can result from any structural or functional cardiac
disorder that impairs the ability of the ventricle to fill or eject blood (Veronique, 2013). In this case
report will critically analyse the general information of the giving condition in relation to the patient
s case.
Discussion
Epidemiology of Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) can be subjective due to the different
representation of the meaning of heart failure, as well as the prevalence and incidence of heart
failure. In the Framingham Heart Study (1965) the lifetime risk of developing CHF is one in five. ...

~ Glaciers are formed when snow builds up for several years from snowfall that exceeds snow
melt. Over time, as new snow compresses the existing snow, the weight causes the snow
underneath to turn to ice. The hardening effect is similar to what happens when you pack a
snowball in your hand. The pressure from additional layers of snow builds for up to thousands of
years. Glaciers can grow and shrink as a result of changes in the amount of snowfall or changes in

He was a younger brother to Arthur B. and Edgar A. Eisenhower. Dwight was born in Denison,
Texas, where his family was living at the time.
After his father s general store went out of business in Abilene, Kansas, they were forced to move to
Texas, where Mr. David Eisenhowerlanded a forty dollar a month job at a small railroad there.
Back in Abilene, a new creamery plant was built and an old friend of Mr. Eisenhower asked him

Ike was always full of courage. Most people believed that he got it from his mother. In eighth
grade, Ike demonstrated this courage in a great way. On his way home from school, Ike fell and
scratched his knee. It was a tiny cut and he thought nothing of it. However, over the next two
days, blood poisoning set in and from the knee down swelled up, and turned black. The doctors
then drew a black line right above his kneecap and insisted that they amputate, or Ike would die.
Ike said that he would rather die than live as a cripple. His parents left the decision up to him.
For the next two weeks, the swelling spread. When the pain became unbearable and Ike knew he
was about to pass out, he called his brothers to his side and made them promise not to let the
doctors amputate. Over the next few nights, Ike s brothers stood guard at the door. As Ike s leg
grew blacker and swelled bigger, with a smelly pus oozing from the cut, doctors decided that it
would be murder not to amputate, but Ike stood his ground. The next day, the swelling started to
go down and the fever dropped, too. His recovery was slow, but complete.
As a boy, Ike had a horrible temper and was very stubborn. In high school, Ike acquired an outlet
for his energies. He became one of the town s top athletes, excelling as an outfielder in baseball
and a tackle in football. He even organized and became president of the Abilene High School

Although both egg and sperm are parallel in the creation of a child the terms of payment and

The Revolutionary Generations In Founding Brothers
During America s infancy, due to the people s fear of going back into a type of monarch, many
issues regarding government arose. The issues were related to foreign affairs, slaver, taxation, the
acquisition of new territories and political parties within the government. Throughout this essay, I
will analyze the issues and events discussed in Founding Brothers; The Revolutionary Generations
by Joseph J. Ellis and determine their effectiveness and importance in America. When it comes to
domestic affairs go, Joseph J. Ellis focuses on the slave trade, the representation of states and
population, taxation, the national debt left after the war, state versus federal government and
political parties. At the core and finality of these issues however, is simply the division between the
north and the south. The views on slavery differed between the two as the North was not dependent
on slavery as much as the South was and therefor held a more lenient attitude towards the issue.
Seeing as how the government s priority was to keep the colonies or states together, they decided to
shove the issue under the rug and never talk about it. Even if Quakers and other northerners insisted
on bringing up the issue about the morality of slavery or its contradiction to American principles,
the Constitution stated that the existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by the
Congress prior to the Year one thousand eight hundred and eight. (Ellis 82) which meant that the

Biography of Mao Zedong
INTRODUCTION
Born on December 26, 1893, Mao Zedong was the founding leader of the People s Republic of
China and ruled as the Chairman of the Communist Party of China from 1949 up until he died on
September the 9th, 1976. He is largely accredited with crafting the post revolution policies known
as the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution (Joseph, 1986) which have left many critics
arguing that the political and economic devastation those policies left are what define his legacy.
Mao Zedong however, left a legacy that far outweighs the aforementioned argument.
How Mao improved CHINA internally
Mao Zedong s most central passion was his insistence in the empowerment of the peasants. Once
Mao Zedong ascended to leadership, land reform became the principal feature of the Chinese
Communist Party line (Chang, 2014). In 1950 he oversaw the implemented the Agrarian Reform
Law (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2014) which gave the land to the peasants, and authorised people s
courts to try their former landlords. Subsequently, the agrarian reform re assigned more than half
the land to the peasants meaning that 300 million peasants were effectively given 47 million
hectares of land.
Additionally, Mao empowered peasants by giving jobs to peasants from the countryside and
prioritising them in the industrialisation process which led to the dramatic reduction in the
unemployment levels and introduction of insurance for workers.

Essay on Howard Hibbard s quot;Caravaggio quot;
Howard Hibbard s Caravaggio is an insightful look into the troubled mind and life of one of the
most discussed artists of all time, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio. Hibbard immediately
expands on his belief that Caravaggio is the most important Italian painter of the entire seventeenth
century. Furthermore, his paintings speak to us more personally and more poignantly than any
others of the time. Caravaggiois an artist whose life was far different from all other contemporary
artists of his time, or any time. Unlike Annibale Carracci, Caravaggio s works were able to express
many of his own feelings and emotions. As Hibbard says, Caravaggio was an artist who somehow
cut through the artistic conventions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His ability to cut to the bone of life is not an ability, but merely a forced action and a reflection of
his mind. Hibbard makes that statement like Caravaggio somehow managed to be a superior
artist almost as if it was a struggle for him to create his works of emotion. This idea is
backwards, Caravaggio s art was not a struggle to create but an outlet to express his fleeing mind
keeping him sane. Overall, it is likely that Caravaggio may not have even been aware of the
personal emotional touch which he inflicted on all of his works. They were merely a place which
he could express himself. p
Hibbard begins with a general background of Caravaggio s youth. He was born in 1571 near
Milan. At a young age, Caravaggio trained in art under the leadership of Simone Peterzano. His
mother and father both died when he was a teenager. This left him with debt payments for the
family and the loss of both parents at a influential age in his life. According to Hibbard, it is
likely that the sudden loss of his father and mother led Caravaggio to much of the style of his
later works. One of Hibbard s points is that Caravaggio exerts a lot of energy through his paintings
in response to his father. When depicting men, especially older men, Hibbard believed that
Caravaggio was showing hostility towards the early death of his own

This is the moment when the first line of my paper pops in my head or I have a sense of

The setting in which I write my paper is the easiest to control, and also a critical part to my

can play music in the background and am two floors up from the kitchen and the family room,

Robespierre Accomplishments
Maximilien Marie Isidore de Robespierre was born on May 6, 1758 in Arras, France. He was
born to a wealthy lawyer and went on to take on the same profession. Unlike his father, he also
played a key part in the Jacobian party and the French Revolution. Robespierre became popular
due to his opposition of the King Louis XIV of France but once he gained power, he was instantly
unpopular. He issued the arrest of more than 300,000 suspected enemies of the Committee and
about 27,000 of those prisoners died to either neglect or execution. This ushered in the time known
as the Reign of Terror. In May 1789, Maximilien Robespierrewas elected the representative of the
Arras commoners in the Estates General, which was a parliament like organization that didn t
hold any real power. During his time with this, he gained popularity by his public disagreement
with the king and his advocacy for reforms. He became an influential member of the Revolution
when the Third Estates established itself as the National Assembly. Robespierre became known as
the incorruptible due to his immense dedication to the importance of civic morality. In April 1790,
Robespierre was elected the leader of the Jacobians, which was an organization of peasants and
priests who were horrified by... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Impact Of The Emancipation Proclamation
Although there were more than four million slaves living in the U.S. at this time, the
Emancipation Proclamation did not formally free a single one of them. So that presents us with a
couple of very interesting questions: first, why did Lincoln issue the proclamation if it had no
practical effect? Second, why is the Emancipation Proclamation considered Lincoln s most
important legacy if it didn t actually free anyone? Washington D.C., summer 1862. The Civil War
had been going on for over a year, and it was not going well for Abraham Lincoln. 11 of the 15
southern states where slavery was legal had formed the Confederate States of America(CSA) and
were waging a war to break free from the United States. Lincoln was determined that the nation
was not going to fall apart on his watch. During the first year of the civil war, the Confederate
Army had won the majority of important battles. When Lincoln became president, he had had
no intention of abolishing slavery. Though he personally despised slavery and had won the
presidency on an anti slavery platform, he would gladly have given up any chance of ending
slavery in the South if it meant that the Confederate states would rejoin the United States. With
no hope of bringing the South back into the United States by protecting slavery, Lincoln had a
new dilemma. His own political party, the Republicans, had formed around their opposition to
slavery. Many of the more radical politicians in the party saw the secession of the South as the
best opportunity to abolish slavery once and for all. As the US war dead piled up, more and more
Northerners began to push Lincoln to punish the states that had seceded by making abolition a
major goal of the war. The problem with abolishing slavery, however, was that there were still four
slave states that had not seceded from the United States: Missouri, Kentucky, Maryland, and
Delaware. Lincoln feared that if he advocated emancipation he would provoke those states into
joining the Confederacy, making the war even more difficult to win. Of the border states, Maryland
was particularly worrisome, because the US capital at Washington D.C. sat on its border with
Virginia. If Maryland decided to join the Confederacy, Washington D.C.

Perception In 12 Angry Men
The 1957 film 12 Angry Men directed by Sidney Lumet explores the subject matter of perception
in human beings. By using concepts from the Theory of Knowledge, the film can be dissected by
various philosophical and psychological angles. A jury of twelve must decide the fate of a young
Hispanic boy who has been accused of murdering his father. After the trial, eleven of the twelve
jurors are convinced he is guilty only Henry Fondabelieves otherwise. The whole film then moves
on to explore the individual psychologies of each juror and reason behind why they chose to cast
their votes in such a way. Slowly Fonda begins to turn them round with the aid of a few other
jurors who use their knowledge, previous experiences and reason as stimulus for doubt. In this is

Problems faced when the jurors attempted to reach the final agreement, emotions, sense
perception and reason were held highly accountable. It allowed insight into particular evidence

and flaws in judging a person to be one sided. The extent of reason being highly favored more was
prevalent. They might not have a conclusive answer, but through reason and logic, Fonda was able
to create reasonable doubt that significantly changed the conviction. Additionally, it was difficult to
validate the jurors decisions on the vote in their emotional state with biased and fallacious
reasoning. Sense perception allows us to raise questions whether we know anything or whether our
logic is justifiable because the evidence was based on reasonable doubt. The witnesses might have

Analysis Of The Poem The Great Gatsby By F. Scott...
Montresor moved at a brisk pace through the dark catacombs, looking back periodically. He had the
creeping feeling that, although obviously impossible, someone or something was following him.
He shook the idea from his head; Impossible! he said, trying to convince himself.
Even so, he still felt that odd feeling on the back of his neck.
As he hurried through the damp and foreboding passageways, he replayed the evening s events in
his mind. As he recalled Fortunato s desperate, yet futile, screams and pleadings, he felt a slight
twinge of...regret?
No, no, Montresor mumbled to himself. A man s character is his fate. He took in a shaky breath as
he walked up the vault s staircase. The fool brought it upon himself.
He paused at the top, straining his ears. Is that a cry I hear? he muttered. Or just my damned
conscience? he finished, silently.
Again, he shook the thought from his head, cautiously making his way through the palazzo; he
needed to be sure that his servants had disobeyed.
He let out a sigh of relief when the entrance was in sight. With a nervous smile, he pushed open the
doors to his home. Nemo me impune lacessit. he whispered triumphantly, emerging onto the street.
more Three days later, there is a buzz about town; the Lady Fortunato had reported that her lover
had gone missing without a trace. Considering his drinking habits, one would not think twice if he
were to be gone for one night, but three(with no word from him!) was simply unprecedented.

The Ethics Of The English Marine Insurance System
1.Introduction
While in recent years, more and more self help motivational books or websites may be
encouraging an All or Nothing attitude towards life in general, one would indisputably agree that
when an assured is taking up a policy, in this context, a Marine Policy, one is trying to protect
against risks of the unknown, and definitely not signing up for a All or Nothing lottery game.
However, two judgments in the English Courts for rules on proximate causation, particularly cases
with a combination of perils to be considered, seemed to suggest the notion of Do you feel lucky
today? thus raising doubts on the justice of the rules on proximate causation in the English marine
insurance system.
Hence, this paper aims to discuss in greater depth the reasoning and outcome of the two
judgments i.e. the judgment of the Court of Appeal in The Miss Jay Jay [1987] 1 Lloyd s Rep
32, and of the Supreme Court judgment in The Cendor MOPU [2011] 1 Lloyd s Rep. 560, to see
if they are an arguably sufficient justification for the view that the English marine insurance system
rules on proximate causation should be repealed and replaced by a system similar to that used in
the Nordic Marine Insurance Plan.
2.Proximate Causation
2.1Predominant or Efficient Cause
The concept of proximate causation has a critical role in Marine Insurance Law. A connection
between the covered perils and the loss is required to determine causation and therefore liability.

Negative Effects On Animal Pollution
has an extremely negative impact on many animals. Water polluted with different chemicals can
cause a decline of population in some species; On the other hand water polluted with nutrients can
lead to huge growth of toxic algae which when eaten by other animals may cause serious diseases
and death to these animals. Persistent organic pollutants contains the growth of fish and wipe out
their breed. Chemical runoff from farms run into oceans, seas, lakes and rivers. Littering can also
lead to death of many animals because of toxic substances in trash, such as oil, plastic, detergents
and pesticides (How PollutionAffect Animals). Oil spills affect marine animals and sea birds.
The oil makes the water harder to swim through, making the animals exhausted, and also making
it harder for it to breathe (Levete 12). Oil spills damages the growth of sea birds (Effects of
Pollution on People...). Animals can also die by getting themselves entangled in one of the many
litter items dumped in the water. Plastic waste can cause dangers to animals. Around one hundred
million tons of plastic is produced each year, ten percent ends up in the sea. A million sea birds
and mammals are killed each year by plastic waste (5 Ways Water Pollution is Killing Animals).

the book Willy Wonka is highly respected and thought to be a genius by everyone. He is

what seems to put him apart from everyone is his belief in both ideals. Even though it is not

gives the success of his factory massive importance. This is shown in the way he closed down
his factory from the public in order to safeguard the secrets of his products from spy efforts from
his competitors. Another shrewd business maneuver was putting the golden tickets inside

North Korea s Nuclear Weapons
Issue for Decision
Dating back to the Korean War, North Korea has insisted its demand for nuclear weapons. North
Korean leaders and officials claim this right on the basis to safeguard North Korea s dignity,
sovereignty and ensure peace in its nation. Since its withdrawal from the Nuclear Non Proliferation
Treaty (NPT) in January 2003, North Korea has demonstrated unacceptable behavior violating its
obligations, in order to progress its nuclear weapon program.
The United States views North Korea s nuclear expansion behavior as intolerable. Current U.S.
policy aims to weaken North Korea s nuclear capabilities primarily through isolation, and ultimately
to never accept it as a nuclear state. We presently continue to tighten sanctions, condemn the DPRK
s behavior and use traditional deterrence measures in order to denuclearize the state.
I am confident that with tactful revisions in our current policy, we can more rapidly denuclearize
and freeze all nuclear missile activity in North Korea. These revisions include targeting financial
and regulatory sanctions against any government, financial or business entity serving North Korea s
nuclear program, countering North Korea s developing missile capabilities by securing the U.S.
and South Korea with appropriate defense mechanisms and encouraging Russia and China to
withdraw political support and increase pressure on the DPRK. Ensuring the denuclearization of

1. Introduction In addition to the challenges experienced in a university context, nursing students
also contend with problems associated with patients, educators, and the hospital environment during
clinical practice. Thus, these aspects contribute to the stress related to being a nursing student
(Karadag et al., 2008). Stress is a factor of key importance because it negatively affects nursing
students academic performance and health (Rhead, 1995; Sheu et al., 1997). Consistently, studies
report that nursing students self esteem is negatively affected by stress during the education period

Consequently, organizing interventions to increase students ability to cope with stress during
occupational education is crucial and will offer them protection in terms of developing increased

that affect stress levels and nursing students coping ability during their education. However, there
are few modeling studies evaluating the relationships between specific stress variables in this
context (Asberg et al., 2008; Klainin Yobas et al., 2014). Likewise, in Turkey, no modeling study
has been conducted on stress related factors in the field of nursing. Thus, in the current modeling
study, we analyze the factors that potentially influence university nursing students experience of
stress. 3. Aims and Hypothesis The aim of this study is to investigate the relationships between
stress experienced by students during their nursing education, stress coping, self esteem, social
support, and health status. It was hypothesized that nursing students who experienced high stress
levels during their education would cope more negatively with stress and have health complaints if
their self esteem and social support were low. Overall, this study will provide an important

Sylvia Plath s importance to American history results from the literary distinction of her writing
style, as well as her works that show the difficulty of women in the mid twentieth century. Plath s
significance comes from her writing styles in which she opened the doors to exploration of
feminism to a masculine led society. Plath s life can be explored through her poems and her

A Research on African-American Literature
African American Literature Introduction The history of African Americans in America has
been a tale of relentless desire for the American Dream of freedom and prosperity. White
America s reactions to that desire and the resulting struggles in different periods have been
faithfully chronicled by Art, Music and Literature. Though there are numerous works
recounting racial relations in America, the three assigned readings, To My Old Master, Sonny s
Blues and Birmingham Sunday, give exceptional reflections of the 1860 s 1950 s and 1960 s
America by notable African Americans. To My Old Master by Jourdon Anderson To My Old
Master (Young, 1996, pp. 15 16) is chronologically the first of the three selected readings and is a
letter written on August 7, 1865. Written 1 year after the author s emancipation and only 4
months after the end of the American Civil War, Anderson s letter is clearly the product of the
struggle between North and South regarding slavery, the emancipation of slaves by the
Emancipation Proclamation during the War, and the ability of former slaves to carve a successful
niche for themselves as capable and newly free people who were finally given a chance to
succeed. The author apparently received correspondence from his former slave owner requesting
that Anderson return to Tennessee and work on his former owner s farm. Unfortunately for the

Methods Of Dividing The Networks Into Small Controllable...
3.1 Clustering approach: The approach of dividing the networks into small controllable units is
called as clustering. The clustering technique advances the scalability of network through ease of
implementation and results energy efficient routing within the sensor networks. The clustering
approach has some other advantages also like conserving communication bandwidth, avoiding
redundant message transfer, localizing energy efficient route setup etc. LEACH, HEED, DECA,
etc. are the energy efficient routing protocols based on clustering technique. 3.1.1 LEACH: LEACH
stands for Low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy [10]. It uses the clustering technique to
distribute the energy consumption beside its network. LEACH protocol divides the network in the
form of cluster heads and clusters to gather the data packet information. The cluster heads do get
together with cluster nodes to collect the data information. Each round of LEACH protocol
performs following steps: Advertisement phase: It is the first step. The cluster head issues a
notification to the nodes to become a cluster member in its cluster within its transmission range.
The nodes recognize the information based upon the Received Signal Strength [10]. Cluster set up
phase: Nodes within cluster respond to their cluster heads. Schedule creation: After receiving
reaction from the cluster nodes the cluster head (CH) construct TDMA scheme and send it back to

Essay Theory of the Absurd
According to critic Mark Esslin, the concept of Theatre of the Absurd relates to the playwrights
loosely grouped under the label of the absurd attempt to convey their sense of bewilderment,
anxiety, and wonder in the face of an inexplicable universe ( The Theatre ). Esslin stressed the fact
that plays and stories belonging to the Theatre of the Absurd were composed of situations dealing
with the way a humanreacts to an event, without any form of importance, thus only stressing over
insignificant things and rejecting the notion of logic. Albert Camus, a major writer of the Theatre of

This act depicts that there is no true point to human life. While Meursault is a strong believer of
this concept, humanity attempts to form reasonable justifications for an insane wrongdoing. In the
story, Meursault states that The truth is I never have much to say. I just keep quiet (Camus 104).
Thus, by Meursault statement, Camus stresses the absurdity of silence as the prosecution unravels
why Meursault committed murder of the Arab. The Stranger opens up with a simple quote:
Maman died today. Or yesterday maybe, I don t know. I got a telegram from the home: Mother
deceased. Funeral tomorrow. Faithfully yours. That doesn t mean anything. Maybe it was yesterday
(Camus 3). This abrupt and distinctive introduction expresses the attitude that Meursault possesses
that there is simply no meaning to life as a whole a true stranger to the world. Furthermore, the
trial in which Meursault partakes is absurd in itself because the judge, prosecutors, and jury try to
find meaning where there is none to be found ( Albert ).
Moreover, Meursault implies that fact that he does not have any particular reason to live, and
death is the only way to go. His apathy and indifference about life further reveal the absurd in this
novel. According to McCarthy, Meursault is not truly saddened by his mother s death because in
his mind, death is an unavoidable force mankind is destined to die. During Meursault s mother s

Mersault s The Stranger
It is the beginning of the book. We know nothing of the plot that is to come, nothing of the narrator
Mersault, and nothing of his eventual demise. The Stranger could have begun with Mersault
introducing himself, or with a description of the setting, but instead it began with the following
quote: Maman died today. Or yesterday maybe, I don t know. I got a telegram from the home:
Mother deceased. Funeral tomorrow. Faithfully ours. That doesn t mean anything. Maybe it was
yesterday.
And that is how The Stranger begins, and Mersault is introduced. This line manages to summarize a
large portion of Mersault s personality in a minimal amount of words. Mersault expresses that the
telegram doesn t mean anything, which at first seems absurd since it clearly informed him of his
mother s death. What is important to realize, is that this statement is in fact true, because Mersault
is focusing on when his mother died, not the fact that she passed away. Due to Mersault s distance
from his mother, both logistically and mentally, her death means nothing to Mersault. What he
seems to be interested in, is when she died. This is evident by the fact that he opens and closes the
paragraph by questioning ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Effects Of Air Pollution On The World
Throughout the last 200 years, there have been a plethora of inventions such as the combustion
engine. Other such inventions include the steam engine, typically driven by coal, and propellants
used to spray chemicals. The Industrial Revolution left an impact on the world far greater than just
inventions and set forth a world of change. Although the Industrial Revolution brought many great
devices in to the world, it also could have caused the accelerated climate change and warming that
we saw throughout the 21st century. In fact, over the 900 years before the Industrial Revolution
began, the average world temperature was in decline and the 1990s was the warmest decade on
record. The introduction of the combustion engine characterizes the Industrial revolution more than
any other invention because it was used for anything from textiles to automobiles. Not only does
the combustion engine characterize the Industrial Revolution, but it also characterizes pollution.
Air pollution is in direct relation to air quality, for which we have certain standards (Vallero, 2007,
p. 3). These standards can be interfered with, and a large amount of the pollutants that cause the
interference come from combustion engines. In the combustion cycle of an internal combustion
engine, a fire is created which burns fossil fuels such as diesel and gasoline. Although the fire is

The Islamic Ethical Principles Of Euthanasia Essay
HOW DOES ISLAM RESPOND TO EUTHANASIA?
INTRODUCTION
The objective of my inquiry is to find and investigate the Islamic ethical principles of the act of
euthanasia, to see how Islam responds to euthanasia. The Islamic ethical principles that this
investigation addresses includes the sanctity of human life and how only Allah has the right to
decide the length of our lives, in relation to evidence given by the authentic Islamic sources of
Quran, Hadith (sayings of the Prophet [Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon Him]), and opinions
of both Islamic scholars and medical experts. These sources have been used to inform and validate
my research. The research reveals that the Islamic perspective of euthanasia is a negative one, as it
is completely forbidden by the laws of Islam. To assist my research, a number of sources have been
used such as verses from the Quran, hadiths, and articles on Islamic medical ethics. I have used
multiple sources because this offers a reinforcement of the perspectives presented when addressing
each ethical principle of euthanasia.
EUTHANASIA
Euthanasia has been a major issue and subject of intense ethical debates throughout the course of
its existence. It has been a great issue in the perspective of human rights, as it affects the legal,
ethical, and medical issues regarding the patients and health care providers involved. This
paragraph will discuss the legal and ethical issues regarding euthanasia (both passive and active),
and will focus on both

Substance Abuse Is An Addiction
Introduction
Substance abuse is an addiction and it is the addition, which is referred to a chronic disease. It is
this chronic disease that is a significant and growing issue, especially among family units where
either one or two parents and/or parental guardians suffer from. Despite the various and complex
reasons that cause the parents or parental guardians to abuse substances, it is their children who
suffer thus, significantly affecting the parent/parental guardian and child bonding relationship. It is
this bonding relationship when compromised that negatively affects the child s overall socio
emotional and psychological well being, as well as times when there are physical risk factors such
as abuse, neglect, or mistreatment (Johnson, 2015). According to a study by
Connors Burrow et al. (2009), there were approximately 5.1% number of children living with
parents of substance dependence and the remaining percentage living with parents of substance
misuse (Conners Burrow et al., 2013). It is this percentage of children whose normal development
has been interrupted by the substance abuse and with the appropriate and supportive interventions,
these children can obtain a feeling of acceptance and attachment security to their parents/parental
guardians. (Where is your thesis?)
Problem Area
The fact is that more than 8.3 million children ranging from infancy to eighteen years old live in a
family unit where either the parents or parental guardians are substance abusers, as

Kudler Fine Foods Is The Best Stores Around Individual: INDP, Part 2 Kevin Tucker NTC/362 June 15, 2015 Professor Stanley Kuchel Introduction The Kudler Fine Foods is one the best stores around. They have come a long way in such a short period of time. They, however have out grown their old network infrastructure and they are in in dire need of an enterprise wide upgrade to their stores as they will start to lose money if this does not happen very soon.. All of the sites in the corporation are using the same configuration of workstations, servers, and standalone ups. All of the networks have one way of communicating to the internet and that is by 10base T Ethernet. The bus network is very cost effective to set up, but it can very difficult to trouble shoot because if the backbone goes down the entire network will have an outage. The other aspect of this network that is a pain is that fact that if two systems are sending a signal, at the exact same time to one another the network will have signal collision, meaning that both signals will drop. In order to prevent this from happening (CSMA/CD) or carrier sense multiple access with collision detection will be set up. This in effect will put the network into a listen mode to prevent the collisions from taking place.. Network Response time One of the major goals is to improve the lack of response time and latency, which is currently being experienced on the network. This is a very critical issue because it is very slow and there is no other means of communication to the internet or other sites. The first problem of response times, latency that are being seen on the entire network are all related and are being caused by not only the slow network speeds, but the out of date systems being used. The response time is measured by the time that it takes for a system to respond to user ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Apple Bees Thesis It was a normal Tuesday night and my family and I walked into the local Apple Bee s, one of our go to restaurants because of the wide variety, good service, and great taste. The waitress led us to our table with a big smile on her face. She began by telling us her name, saying the specials for the day, and taking our drink orders. She then left while she got us our drinks, and she gave us time to look at the menu. She came back with our drinks and took our orders. Before she left once again to put our orders in, my dad presented her our coupon; buy one entrГ©e get an entrГ©e free. That is when the poor service began. The waitress wasn t quite as willing to help us, her smile faded, the service was slow, and the foodwas good, but not amazing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I have received bad service because of the early reveal of the coupon at more than just Apple Bee s, it has also happened at Chevy s, one of the Mexican restaurants in town. While this is not apparent to everyone, next time you give the waiter or waitress your coupon before receiving your food pay special attention to the service you receive. Your food will likely take longer to arrive, and your waiter or waitress also will be less willing to help you. Waiters and waitresses are less willing to put on the fake smile after you present the coupon and instead they pour more of their attention and care into the other tables they are waiting on. Both the waiter or waitress and the cooks know that your meal will cost less with the coupon, and that they in turn will get a smaller tip, so why would they give you as good of service as the person who is paying full price for their meal? The person paying full price is probably more willing to give a larger tip as well, therefore, the waiter and waitress will give more attention to them. Despite if you agree with me or not, know this; next time you are at a restaurant wait until you have received all your food before presenting your coupon. This will ensure you that you will receive better service, and your food ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Honesty In The Canterbury Tales Honesty is the best policy; a phrase that s been around nearly as long as lies themselves. The book; The Canterbury Tales by Geofferey Chaucer displays how the dishonesty of society is timeless. This is first displayed in The General Prologue through the descriptions of the pilgrims. This is also shown in The Miller s Tale and The Reeve s Tale . Chaucer also conveys that truth is preferable to lies by explaining what terrible punishments befell those who did lie. While those who lied did succeed and profit from their lies; eventually the lies caught up to them and they end up paying a price greater than what they earned. The General Prologue briefly describes each of the pilgrims and The Host. The General Prologue also includes brief commentary from the narrator; Chaucer. This commentary acts as characterization for all the pilgrims. But the commentary, besides establishing each character, exhibits Chaucer s opinion on each of the characters, and their flaws. Many of the pilgrims are describes as dishonest or corrupt. A prime example of this is the Prioress who is describes as Pleasant and friendly in her ways, and straining To counterfeit a courtly kind of grace, A stately bearing fitting to her place, And to seem dignified in all her dealings (pp 6, 7). These two lines are the only lines that betray the Prioress, revealing that her dignified persona is merely a faГ§ade. The issues were related to foreign affairs, slaver, taxation, the acquisition of new territories and political parties within the government. Throughout this essay, I will analyze the issues and events discussed in Founding Brothers; The Revolutionary Generations by Joseph J. Ellis and determine their effectiveness and importance in America. When it comes to domestic affairs go, Joseph J. Ellis focuses on the slave trade, the representation of states and population, taxation, the national debt left after the war, state versus federal government and political parties. At the core and finality of these issues however, is simply the division between the north and the south. The views on slavery differed between the two as the North was not dependent on slavery as much as the South was and therefor held a more lenient attitude towards the issue. Seeing as how the government s priority was to keep the colonies or states together, they decided to shove the issue under the rug and never talk about it. Even if Quakers and other northerners insisted on bringing up the issue about the morality of slavery or its contradiction to American principles, the Constitution stated that the existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by the Congress prior to the Year one thousand eight hundred and eight. He is largely accredited with crafting the post revolution policies known as the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution (Joseph, 1986) which have left many critics arguing that the political and economic devastation those policies left are what define his legacy. Mao Zedong however, left a legacy that far outweighs the aforementioned argument. How Mao improved CHINA internally Mao Zedong s most central passion was his insistence in the empowerment of the peasants. Once Mao Zedong ascended to leadership, land reform became the principal feature of the Chinese Communist Party line (Chang, 2014). In 1950 he oversaw the implemented the Agrarian Reform Law (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2014) which gave the land to the peasants, and authorised people s courts to try their former landlords. Subsequently, the agrarian reform re assigned more than half the land to the peasants meaning that 300 million peasants were effectively given 47 million hectares of land. Additionally, Mao empowered peasants by giving jobs to peasants from the countryside and prioritising them in the industrialisation process which led to the dramatic reduction in the unemployment levels and introduction of insurance for workers. Essay on Howard Hibbard s quot;Caravaggio quot; Howard Hibbard s Caravaggio is an insightful look into the troubled mind and life of one of the most discussed artists of all time, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio. Hibbard immediately expands on his belief that Caravaggio is the most important Italian painter of the entire seventeenth century. Furthermore, his paintings speak to us more personally and more poignantly than any others of the time. Caravaggiois an artist whose life was far different from all other contemporary artists of his time, or any time. Unlike Annibale Carracci, Caravaggio s works were able to express many of his own feelings and emotions. As Hibbard says, Caravaggio was an artist who somehow cut through the artistic conventions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His ability to cut to the bone of life is not an ability, but merely a forced action and a reflection of his mind. Hibbard makes that statement like Caravaggio somehow managed to be a superior artist almost as if it was a struggle for him to create his works of emotion. This idea is backwards, Caravaggio s art was not a struggle to create but an outlet to express his fleeing mind keeping him sane. Overall, it is likely that Caravaggio may not have even been aware of the personal emotional touch which he inflicted on all of his works. They were merely a place which he could express himself. p Hibbard begins with a general background of Caravaggio s youth. He was born in 1571 near Milan. At a young age, Caravaggio trained in art under the leadership of Simone Peterzano. His mother and father both died when he was a teenager. This left him with debt payments for the family and the loss of both parents at a influential age in his life. According to Hibbard, it is likely that the sudden loss of his father and mother led Caravaggio to much of the style of his later works. One of Hibbard s points is that Caravaggio exerts a lot of energy through his paintings in response to his father. When depicting men, especially older men, Hibbard believed that Caravaggio was showing hostility towards the early death of his own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This is the moment when the first line of my paper pops in my head or I have a sense of direction in where the paper is headed. Some of my better lightbulb moments have been on the bus heading home or the second I get into bed to go to sleep that is why my mom always taught me to keep post its and a penin my nightstand! I usually like to give myself at least a couple days to write my paper, edit the paper, and to make sure I have an effective mic drop at the end, as my English teacher last year said. However, seeing as I am starting this paper the night before it is due, I should also mention that I have no problem starting last minute if I know what I am going to say and essentially have the framework of a paper in my head. The lightbulb moment is the hardest to control, but a critical part to my writingprocess. The setting in which I write my paper is the easiest to control, and also a critical part to my writing process. I find that the setting changes with each type of paper. I write at my desk in my room for the average paper, especially if I am feeling confident in how the paper is going so far. • 24. The Impact Of The Emancipation Proclamation Although there were more than four million slaves living in the U.S. at this time, the Emancipation Proclamation did not formally free a single one of them. So that presents us with a couple of very interesting questions: first, why did Lincoln issue the proclamation if it had no practical effect? Second, why is the Emancipation Proclamation considered Lincoln s most important legacy if it didn t actually free anyone? Washington D.C., summer 1862. The Civil War had been going on for over a year, and it was not going well for Abraham Lincoln. 11 of the 15 southern states where slavery was legal had formed the Confederate States of America(CSA) and were waging a war to break free from the United States. Lincoln was determined that the nation was not going to fall apart on his watch. During the first year of the civil war, the Confederate Army had won the majority of important battles. When Lincoln became president, he had had no intention of abolishing slavery. Though he personally despised slavery and had won the presidency on an anti slavery platform, he would gladly have given up any chance of ending slavery in the South if it meant that the Confederate states would rejoin the United States. With no hope of bringing the South back into the United States by protecting slavery, Lincoln had a new dilemma. His own political party, the Republicans, had formed around their opposition to slavery. Many of the more radical politicians in the party saw the secession of the South as the best opportunity to abolish slavery once and for all. As the US war dead piled up, more and more Northerners began to push Lincoln to punish the states that had seceded by making abolition a major goal of the war. The problem with abolishing slavery, however, was that there were still four slave states that had not seceded from the United States: Missouri, Kentucky, Maryland, and Delaware. Lincoln feared that if he advocated emancipation he would provoke those states into joining the Confederacy, making the war even more difficult to win. Of the border states, Maryland was particularly worrisome, because the US capital at Washington D.C. sat on its border with Virginia. If Maryland decided to join the Confederacy, Washington D.C. ... • 32. Negative Effects On Animal Pollution has an extremely negative impact on many animals. Water polluted with different chemicals can cause a decline of population in some species; On the other hand water polluted with nutrients can lead to huge growth of toxic algae which when eaten by other animals may cause serious diseases and death to these animals. Persistent organic pollutants contains the growth of fish and wipe out their breed. Chemical runoff from farms run into oceans, seas, lakes and rivers. Littering can also lead to death of many animals because of toxic substances in trash, such as oil, plastic, detergents and pesticides (How PollutionAffect Animals). Oil spills affect marine animals and sea birds. The oil makes the water harder to swim through, making the animals exhausted, and also making it harder for it to breathe (Levete 12). Oil spills damages the growth of sea birds (Effects of Pollution on People...). Animals can also die by getting themselves entangled in one of the many litter items dumped in the water. Plastic waste can cause dangers to animals. Around one hundred million tons of plastic is produced each year, ten percent ends up in the sea. A million sea birds and mammals are killed each year by plastic waste (5 Ways Water Pollution is Killing Animals). Plastic bags are killing the animals in the water. The bags can suffocate or choke the animal, by getting caught around it s body (Levete 12). Noise pollutionis also becoming a huge problem for many animals, especially ones that live in ... The faith they have in a higher omnipotent being that they feel is protecting and watching over them helps guide them to live a good, morally conscious lifestyle. Even though the presence of a Godisn t always clear to everyone, there is always someone who will argue about their existence, but what happens when you seek a God and find that no one is there to answer you ? Throughout the book Willy Wonka is highly respected and thought to be a genius by everyone. He is revered, and nothing but praise seems to be heaped upon him by every character in the story and what seems to put him apart from everyone is his belief in both ideals. Even though it is not stated in the book there is clear evidence that Wonka is a very business minded individual and gives the success of his factory massive importance. This is shown in the way he closed down his factory from the public in order to safeguard the secrets of his products from spy efforts from his competitors. Another shrewd business maneuver was putting the golden tickets inside chocolate bars, knowing the tickets would be highly coveted, he knew that sales for his candy would skyrocket. On the other hand Wonka is very faith driven as shown by his choosing of Charlie to be his successor. Wonka chooses Charlie for his faith and willingness to accept the wisdom of others, Charlie obviously not being blinded by his own self gain. I want a good, sensible, loving child. (151) Charlie also seems to share in Wonka s belief of both ideals evidenced by his good natured faith that leads him to be chosen as Wonka s successor but also in his want for a better life. • 34. North Korea s Nuclear Weapons Issue for Decision Dating back to the Korean War, North Korea has insisted its demand for nuclear weapons. North Korean leaders and officials claim this right on the basis to safeguard North Korea s dignity, sovereignty and ensure peace in its nation. Since its withdrawal from the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT) in January 2003, North Korea has demonstrated unacceptable behavior violating its obligations, in order to progress its nuclear weapon program. The United States views North Korea s nuclear expansion behavior as intolerable. Current U.S. policy aims to weaken North Korea s nuclear capabilities primarily through isolation, and ultimately to never accept it as a nuclear state. We presently continue to tighten sanctions, condemn the DPRK s behavior and use traditional deterrence measures in order to denuclearize the state. I am confident that with tactful revisions in our current policy, we can more rapidly denuclearize and freeze all nuclear missile activity in North Korea. These revisions include targeting financial and regulatory sanctions against any government, financial or business entity serving North Korea s nuclear program, countering North Korea s developing missile capabilities by securing the U.S. and South Korea with appropriate defense mechanisms and encouraging Russia and China to withdraw political support and increase pressure on the DPRK. • 36. The Effects Of Stress On Nursing Students Academic... 1. Introduction In addition to the challenges experienced in a university context, nursing students also contend with problems associated with patients, educators, and the hospital environment during clinical practice. Thus, these aspects contribute to the stress related to being a nursing student (Karadag et al., 2008). Stress is a factor of key importance because it negatively affects nursing students academic performance and health (Rhead, 1995; Sheu et al., 1997). Consistently, studies report that nursing students self esteem is negatively affected by stress during the education period (Boey, 1998; Edwards et al., 2010)andself confidence and self esteem are essential factors in coping with stress. Consequently, organizing interventions to increase students ability to cope with stress during occupational education is crucial and will offer them protection in terms of developing increased biopsychosocial health. Many existing studies have examined stress related factors including those that affect stress levels and nursing students coping ability during their education. However, there are few modeling studies evaluating the relationships between specific stress variables in this context (Asberg et al., 2008; Klainin Yobas et al., 2014). Likewise, in Turkey, no modeling study has been conducted on stress related factors in the field of nursing. Thus, in the current modeling study, we analyze the factors that potentially influence university nursing students experience of stress. 3. Aims and Hypothesis The aim of this study is to investigate the relationships between stress experienced by students during their nursing education, stress coping, self esteem, social support, and health status. It was hypothesized that nursing students who experienced high stress levels during their education would cope more negatively with stress and have health complaints if their self esteem and social support were low. Overall, this study will provide an important theoretical basis for intervention studies. 4. Methods 4.1. Design To test the correlations between variables, this study used a crosssectional, ... • 38. A Research on African-American Literature African American Literature Introduction The history of African Americans in America has been a tale of relentless desire for the American Dream of freedom and prosperity. White America s reactions to that desire and the resulting struggles in different periods have been faithfully chronicled by Art, Music and Literature. Though there are numerous works recounting racial relations in America, the three assigned readings, To My Old Master, Sonny s Blues and Birmingham Sunday, give exceptional reflections of the 1860 s 1950 s and 1960 s America by notable African Americans. To My Old Master by Jourdon Anderson To My Old Master (Young, 1996, pp. 15 16) is chronologically the first of the three selected readings and is a letter written on August 7, 1865. Written 1 year after the author s emancipation and only 4 months after the end of the American Civil War, Anderson s letter is clearly the product of the struggle between North and South regarding slavery, the emancipation of slaves by the Emancipation Proclamation during the War, and the ability of former slaves to carve a successful niche for themselves as capable and newly free people who were finally given a chance to succeed. The author apparently received correspondence from his former slave owner requesting that Anderson return to Tennessee and work on his former owner s farm. • 39. Methods Of Dividing The Networks Into Small Controllable... 3.1 Clustering approach: The approach of dividing the networks into small controllable units is called as clustering. The clustering technique advances the scalability of network through ease of implementation and results energy efficient routing within the sensor networks. The clustering approach has some other advantages also like conserving communication bandwidth, avoiding redundant message transfer, localizing energy efficient route setup etc. LEACH, HEED, DECA, etc. are the energy efficient routing protocols based on clustering technique. 3.1.1 LEACH: LEACH stands for Low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy [10]. It uses the clustering technique to distribute the energy consumption beside its network. LEACH protocol divides the network in the form of cluster heads and clusters to gather the data packet information. The cluster heads do get together with cluster nodes to collect the data information. Each round of LEACH protocol performs following steps: Advertisement phase: It is the first step. The cluster head issues a notification to the nodes to become a cluster member in its cluster within its transmission range. The nodes recognize the information based upon the Received Signal Strength [10]. Cluster set up phase: Nodes within cluster respond to their cluster heads. • 40. Essay Theory of the Absurd According to critic Mark Esslin, the concept of Theatre of the Absurd relates to the playwrights loosely grouped under the label of the absurd attempt to convey their sense of bewilderment, anxiety, and wonder in the face of an inexplicable universe ( The Theatre ). Esslin stressed the fact that plays and stories belonging to the Theatre of the Absurd were composed of situations dealing with the way a humanreacts to an event, without any form of importance, thus only stressing over insignificant things and rejecting the notion of logic. Albert Camus, a major writer of the Theatre of the Absurd , construes the Absurd by completely varying this concept through the human personality, exemplified by The Strangerand The Myth of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This act depicts that there is no true point to human life. While Meursault is a strong believer of this concept, humanity attempts to form reasonable justifications for an insane wrongdoing. In the story, Meursault states that The truth is I never have much to say. I just keep quiet (Camus 104). Thus, by Meursault statement, Camus stresses the absurdity of silence as the prosecution unravels why Meursault committed murder of the Arab. The Stranger opens up with a simple quote: Maman died today. Or yesterday maybe, I don t know. I got a telegram from the home: Mother deceased. Funeral tomorrow. Faithfully yours. That doesn t mean anything. Maybe it was yesterday (Camus 3). This abrupt and distinctive introduction expresses the attitude that Meursault possesses that there is simply no meaning to life as a whole a true stranger to the world. Furthermore, the trial in which Meursault partakes is absurd in itself because the judge, prosecutors, and jury try to find meaning where there is none to be found ( Albert ). Moreover, Meursault implies that fact that he does not have any particular reason to live, and death is the only way to go. His apathy and indifference about life further reveal the absurd in this novel. According to McCarthy, Meursault is not truly saddened by his mother s death because in his mind, death is an unavoidable force mankind is destined to die. During Meursault s mother s funeral, ... • 41. Mersault s The Stranger It is the beginning of the book. We know nothing of the plot that is to come, nothing of the narrator Mersault, and nothing of his eventual demise. The Stranger could have begun with Mersault introducing himself, or with a description of the setting, but instead it began with the following quote: Maman died today. Or yesterday maybe, I don t know. I got a telegram from the home: Mother deceased. Funeral tomorrow. Faithfully ours. That doesn t mean anything. Maybe it was yesterday. And that is how The Stranger begins, and Mersault is introduced. This line manages to summarize a large portion of Mersault s personality in a minimal amount of words. Mersault expresses that the telegram doesn t mean anything, which at first seems absurd since it clearly informed him of his mother s death. What is important to realize, is that this statement is in fact true, because Mersault is focusing on when his mother died, not the fact that she passed away. Due to Mersault s distance from his mother, both logistically and mentally, her death means nothing to Mersault. What he seems to be interested in, is when she died. This is evident by the fact that he opens and closes the paragraph by questioning ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 42. The Effects Of Air Pollution On The World Throughout the last 200 years, there have been a plethora of inventions such as the combustion engine. Other such inventions include the steam engine, typically driven by coal, and propellants used to spray chemicals. The Industrial Revolution left an impact on the world far greater than just inventions and set forth a world of change. Although the Industrial Revolution brought many great devices in to the world, it also could have caused the accelerated climate change and warming that we saw throughout the 21st century. In fact, over the 900 years before the Industrial Revolution began, the average world temperature was in decline and the 1990s was the warmest decade on record. The introduction of the combustion engine characterizes the Industrial revolution more than any other invention because it was used for anything from textiles to automobiles. Not only does the combustion engine characterize the Industrial Revolution, but it also characterizes pollution. Air pollution is in direct relation to air quality, for which we have certain standards (Vallero, 2007, p. 3). These standards can be interfered with, and a large amount of the pollutants that cause the interference come from combustion engines. In the combustion cycle of an internal combustion engine, a fire is created which burns fossil fuels such as diesel and gasoline. Although the fire is contained well, not all of the fuel is burned off and in turn is exhausted with the same chemicals that were ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Islamic ethical principles that this investigation addresses includes the sanctity of human life and how only Allah has the right to decide the length of our lives, in relation to evidence given by the authentic Islamic sources of Quran, Hadith (sayings of the Prophet [Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon Him]), and opinions of both Islamic scholars and medical experts.
