The Decision Tree Algorithms And Grows The Tree By...
This is a pedagogical algorithm, which extracts the rules in the form of decision trees. This is similar
to most of the decision tree algorithms and grows the tree by recursive partitioning. At every step it
stores a queue of leaves that can be further expanded to sub trees and this process is repeated until a
stopping condition is met. Traditional decision trees methods have a limited number of training
observations. So they only have fewer number of observations to decide upon the split and leaf node
class labels but on the other hand, Trepan re labels the original observations to the classifications made
by the network. And the relabeled data will be used for the tree growing process. Additionally it can
also add extra data points by mimicking the behavior of the network. It uses the network as an oracle
to answer the classification queries about the newly generated data points. This way it can make sure
that whenever a split node or leaf node class decision is made there are at least S_(min ) number of
data points. Where S_(min )is a user specified number. Whenever we generate new data points at any
particular node, we have to make sure that they satisfy all the constraints from root to the current
node. One of the approach to distribute the data points over a network is to employ uniform
distribution, but Trepan takes into account the distribution of data i.e. at each node it estimates the
marginal distribution of data. If the data at the input is continuous then it

Why Is Italy An Amazing Place
There are many wonderful places in the world, but people believe that Europe has the best ones. For
example, Italy is such an amazing place to go to, either for vacation or to live there. There are many
mesmerizing things in Italy that can catch anyone s attention, such as going to museums, or go
sightseeing. The weather changes throughout the year, but it s still marvelous for tourist to go out and
do activities. There is many different types of things a tourist could do while in Italy. If the tourist
likes to visit museums while they are in vacation there is a variety of them. Some of the museums they
could visit the Galleria delgi Uffizi it is an art museum located in Florence, Italy. This museum would
be ideal for all the people who are big fans of art, since it has many different art works from famous

It changes a lot throughout the year, but it is rare for Italy to have really high temperatures compared
to other places. It is great weather for the tourist to do many outdoors activities that would be fun,
enjoyable and unforgettable for everyone. The Colosseum would be a great activity to do, visiting the
place where the gladiators once fought. It would be also absolutely perfect with the weather in Italy,
since it won t be extremely hot. The Grand Canal tour is a lovely boat ride that takes you on a tour of
Italy. It is a breath taking and unforgettable tour that no one ever wants to miss. The great part of the
tour is learning little pieces of the history of some places and routes that no one takes in Italy and also
learning the background of things that the tour guide tells you and the fun facts makes everything
better. The best part is that if it is a group of 8 people they could all fit in one boat and enjoy the ride

The Continuous Cycle of War Ever since the days of Mesopotamia from the agricultural revolution,
war has been a constant and important part of human life. Over time though, humans have evolved
and gotten stronger and smarter which lead to more competition. War from its beginning, has
consistently stemmed from the innate sense of evolutionary survival and subsequent competition, thus
securing it s inevitable perpetuation. The only thing that every person has in common is that they want
to survive. Humans are always fighting. This shows how even though the monster had not done
anything inherently wrong, they are afraid because they just want to survive and the monster looks ...

Religions differing has caused many conflicts throughout history. The feeling of attachment to
tribalism and fake patriotism under the umbrella of religion is stronger and more apparent than respect
for human rights and pluralism (Mhamed 2). When people are tied so greatly to their religion, they
will be willing to throw away their morals and do whatever they deem is right for their beliefs, leading
to constant wars. different tribal and so called patriotic groups resort to religion to gain legacy and
popularity (Mhamad 2). Religion is even just a way to unite people to war such as saying they are
doing something in the name of their deity Both survival and competition, consequently have caused
continuous wars throughout human history. Humans are always fighting since the beginning of time.
Wherever there is an enemy, animate or inanimate, there must be a victory. You must prevail at the
front, no matter how high the cost at home (Wilson 1). There will always be war for these reasons.
Nationalism is one of the key examples coming from this quote and it is said for a very good reason.
group versus group competition was a principal driving force that made us what we are. In prehistory,
group selection lifted the hominids that became territorial carnivores to heights of solidarity, to genius,
to enterprise and to fear (Wilson 1). Competition was necessary and it will until the end of humans. It

Jeremy Bentham Research Paper
English philosopher, economist, and theoretical judge are only a few words that describe Jeremy
Bentham, but one word that really sums up what he was, utilitarianism. Born in February 1748 in
London, England. His mother was the daughter of a shop clerk and his father and grandfather was well
established lawyer with a small practice, but most of the family s income came from his father s
purchase and selling of land. During his early childhood years, Bentham displayed a remarkable gift
for learning. By the time he was four years of age his father began to teach Bentham Latin and Greek
while sitting on his knee at night. These lessons would prove to be the foundation that Bentham would

Queens College, Oxford. It took Bentham only four years to achieve his Bachelor of Arts degree
making him one of the youngest to graduate from Queens College at the age of six teen. However, his
graduation was all contingent on him swearing to the 39 articles of the Church of England. Bentham

Information Systems, Idexx Neo, And Onward Vet Essay
The veterinary industry is rapidly evolving with large increases in the need for current technology.
This applies to all aspects of the field, but most commonly recognized in the area of practice
management. The development of practice management software allows financial and medical data,
staff and patient scheduling, inventory, and other information to be easily stored (Downing, Sirois,
Thomas 2016). There are many software programs available today with options for every type of
practice. Three different software programs will be discussed in the following pages: VIA Information
Systems, Idexx Neo, and Onward Vet. VIA Information Systems (VIA) was founded in 1999 by VCA
Antech. VCAAntech is a pet healthcare service provider made up of a network of animal hospitals,
diagnostics, imaging, practice management and laboratory services nationwide (VIA, Company, Our

Morphology and Lipid Analysis of 3T3 L1 cells pre and post differentiation
Erin Kim
1
Abstract
This report will look at the morphology of 3T3 L1 cells pre and post differentiation and the percent
lipid in our adipocytes after differentiation. The analysis of cell morphology is important to study cell
behaviour such as the uptake of nutrients [1]. Three different plates of 3T3 L1 cells were examined. 2
of the plates were grown then differentiated into adipocytes. After differentiation, these cells were
fixed with formalin then one was stained with Oil Red O. The last plate was grown to confluency, but
did not undergo differentiation before fixing with formalin. After imaging these cells using a
fluorescence microscope, the images were analyzed with the Image J software. Image J analyzed the
shape index of the cell our results showed the adipocytes to have a shape index of 0.888±0.030 in
comparison to than the undifferentiated fibroblasts, which had a shape index of 0.335±0.082. The
Shape index measures how round or elongated a cell is. The closer the shape index is to 1, the rounder

These 3T3 L1 cells are capable of differentiating from fibroblasts into adipocytes under certain
conditions. 3T3 L1 cells are classified as Biosafety Level 1 [2]. 3T3 L1 cells divide rapidly until they
reach 100 percent confluency, which primes them to differentiate into adipocytes. The purpose of this
study was to examine 3T3 L1 cells before and after differentiation to compare their morphology and
lipid content.
1
Before staining the differentiated cells, they were fixed using formalin (cross linking) to preserve the
cell structure. By staining the cells with Oil Red O, we were able to stain the lipid within the cell,
which increases the contrast of a cell and makes it easier to visualize the lipid content within each cell

A. Identification of Current Business Level Strategy
1. Qualitative and/or quantitative evidence (e.g. mission statements, press releases, articles, financial
data) The Volkswagen Group follows a cost leadership and differentiation strategy. The Volkswagen
Group achieves low cost leadership by sharing automotive parts amongst its products and as well as
sharing vehicle platforms amongst the other 12 brands under the Volkswagen Group, such as Audi,

Analysis Of The Poem Caged Bird By Maya Angelou
The poem Caged Bird by Maya Angelou tells the story of two birds: one bird has the luxury of
freedom and the second bird lives its life caged and maltreated by an unknown tyrant. Maya Angelou
wrote this poem during the Civil Rights Era, the period when black activists in the 1950 s and 1960 s
fought for desegregation of African Americans. This poem parallels the oppression that African
Americans were fighting during this time period. In Caged Bird , Angelou builds a strong contrast that
shows the historical context of discrimination and segregation through the use of mood, symbolism,
and theme. The mood of Caged Bird changes drastically from stanza to stanza. Angelou s specific
diction choices help to reflect the change from being positive to negative with some elements of hope
involved. The parts of the poem involving the free bird provide the reader with a feeling of self
government. In contrast, the mood associated with the caged bird is confinment. Despite the negative
mood tied to the caged bird there are still elements of hope woven into these stanzas. The first stanza
of the poem introduce the free bird. Angelou uses words such as leaps . . . and floats (Line 1 3) in
description of this character s movements. These actions relate directly to moving without restrictions.
The words leaped and floats are contradicted immediately in the second stanza as Angelou brings the
caged bird into the picture. Angelou uses diction that complements confinement

American Attitudes Towards The Poor Essay
Today s news is full of speculation and debate about the national debt, taxes and potential cuts to vital
programs that serve those in need. However, the conversation often seems overly caught up in the
finer points of politics and media coverage rather than the real people that these decisions affect. I
think it s fair to say that American attitudes toward the poor are more often than not, disdain and fear.
There s a common myth that people are forced into poverty because they are simply lazy or inferior,
the truth is it is harder to feed and clothe your family than ever before. Poverty in this country is not
accidental, it is a direct result of funneling wealth upstream; the rich get richer and the poor suffer. The
poor you will always ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is time to be ashamed (Shipler 300). According to Shipler, many of these people are just a step away
from catastrophe. A brief illness, trouble with their car, or disrupted child care can bring about the end
of their employment.
America s perception of how life should be is affecting the way we see other people in our
environment as well as other countries. Many Americans are working at low paying, dead end jobs
that will never give them a chance to improve their status in the marketplace, every day necessities eat
up the small income these people do get. Poverty is like a bleeding wound. It weakens the defenses. It
lowers resistance. It attracts predators (Shipler 18). Look around, in every city neighborhood and
small town is a title loan or pay day loan store charging ridiculous interest rates but promising
financial freedom to those that just ask. This is just a form legal loan sharking. This is such a lucrative
business that native American Indian tribes buy time on television to promote their no collateral loans
with interest rates at or above 400 percent and a toll free number to call.
We live in a country that was founded on the principle that guarantees all people are created equal and
they have the right to pursue their own happiness. Lower paying jobs, fewer benefits and little
advancement opportunity make this concept idealistic at best. The American Dream has caused such a
big impact, that the only way

Simple Epithelial Tissues
Epithelial Tissue:
Epithelial tissues line and cover the organs, capillaries and body cavities within the body. Epithelial
tissues can be broken down into four types: Simple Squamous, Simple Cuboidal, Transitional and
Stratified Squamous. Epithelial tissues are named first by their amount of layers they have, and second
by the cell shape.
Simple Epithelial tissues are composed of only one layer of cells, while stratified tissues are composed
of more than one layer of cells. Squamous tissues are flat as compared to cuboidal or cube shaped
tissues. The final tissue is called columnar, and these cells have a column like shape.

The Impact of Lipolysis on Different Cheese Varieties
Impact of Lipolysis in Different Cheese Varieties Introduction During the process of ripening,
biochemical processes that take place in the cheese are the most importance factors that contribute in
speedy ripening process. Other than well studied, proteolysis, most important roles in cheese ripening
involves lipolysis, the fat burning process. Ripening is the main process in which development of the
cheese flavor takes place. During the process of ripening a large number of sapid compounds are
produced which if present in the correct ratios and concentrations lead to the best flavor development.
Three processes are known that contribute in the production of these compounds, lipolysis, proteolysis
and glycolysis. The flavor development in cheese depends upon the degree in which these three
processes functions that play key roles in distinct differences between cheese varieties. Extent of
Lipolysis in Cheese The studies have shown that the extent of lipolysis is different and varied in
different kinds of cheese. Dutch type cheese has lesser extent of lipolysis to extensive lipolysis as seen
in much harder, ripened Italian cheese. In the case of Emmental cheese, it is seen that only 1 2% of the
lipids are hydrolyzed, and the highest being in Blue cheese (Kilcawley, and Beresford, 2004, p. 34).
Lipolytic Enzymes Involved It has been highlighted that cheese with lesser amount of fatty acids is
considered unripened and not mature as compared to the cheese having higher

Globalization Of Dreams And Its Effects On Dreams
Globalization of Dreams
The focus of this study is to continue previous research relating the significance of cultures and
dreams. These studies have set out to show what how much of an effect culture has on dreams. To
measure this, other researchers have recorded participants typical dreams. These studies have helped
us to understand some of the differences in beliefs, values, and structure of other cultures as well as
the differences and similarities. Through analyzing the differences and similarities of our various
cultures we learn what humans share in values as a whole and how our society influences our thinking
and actions. By interviewing two people from two different collectivistic cultures, there should be a
great deal of similarities between the two. Any differences recorded found will be derived from
individual perspectives rather than culture. The goal of the research is to show culture doesn t heavily
influence our dreams but rather individual perceptions of the world around them do. There isn t a
significant difference in typical dreams between cultures, rather researchers tend to agree that culture
doesn t have much of an effect on dreams and it has more to do with our individual perception of our
day (Jaenicke 2009).
In Griffith, Miyago, and Tago s (1958) study of The Universality of Typical Dreams: Japanese vs.
Americans, statistics showed out of the 34 typical dreams compared between the two, 14 held a

year old daughter shows signs of being in the disease s early stages. The doctor gave us a breathing
machine for her. That s why the windows are shut, so she can breathe clean air.
Lopez and her 13 year old daughter take pills as a part of barrio living. She roots through her handbag
and produces a small bottle filled with tablets. Loratadine, it says on the label, a drug which is

The Effects Of Social Media On Psychology

It s two o clock in the morning and the telephone rings, startling the psychologist. Groggily, she

she realizes that it is one that is all too familiar. It s one her patients. This patient has been dealing with
some depression issues and is ready to do something drastic. The psychologist talks calmly with the
patient for several hours to calm the young lady down, all while helping her work through the steps to

dependent on technology, society has become accustomed to it being a part of daily life. In some
cases, or professions, that may be a good thing. As a psychologist, the use of social media can help

Administrative Tribunals And Decision From Other Common...
4. Administrative tribunals and decision from other common law countries
Beside the judicial functions of courts, administrative tribunals are another official bodies that adhere
the rights to settle the disputes, and they are established within federal and state jurisdictions. The well
established practice of the doctrine of precedent is also found in the operation of administrative
tribunals, where the inferior tribunals follow decisions of superior but those decisions are not
necessary carry the formal precedential authority. In most cases, disputes parties in the tribunals could
appeal to the court, where the tribunals are bound by the precedent of the court.
The decisions from other common law jurisdiction such as United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canadian
and United States have no authority on Australian courts but Australian judges rather relied on them as
an argument in the judgment particular when confront with the absence of binding authority.
Traditionally, the decision of superior English courts are paid the highest regards, especially when
there is a conflicting of foreign court decisions, and are frequently cited by Australian judges owing to
the fact that British is the mother nation of Australia.

Literature Review Of The Banking Industry
CHAPTER 2: LITERATURE REVIEW 2.1 Introduction The banking industry started long time ago
to provide financial services to merchants in Athens, Venice, Genoa, Florence, and other commercial
cities (Conant, 1915). Coins and banknotes were used to facilitate trading and exchanging goods. As
the idea of money movement grew, central banks were developed to act as a third party center of trust
(Rousseau Sylla, 2003). For decades, banks used to work in the same manner using the same
traditional business models as banknotes and paper records. In 1967, the first ATM machine was
introduced (Kumbhar, 2011). The SWIFT foundation was then established in 1973 to secure money
transactions between different banks. Swift messages do not transfer money; they just send PO
(Payment Orders) that must be settled by financial institutions worldwide (Scott Zachariadis, 2014).
Recently, new changes took place in the surrounding environment where new digital products
appeared, regulations were mandated, and customer behavior patterns were developed (Hirst, 2017).
Bitcoin was introduced in 2009, though still not used in traditional banks, but it has emerged a new era
of digitizing money and is considered as internet of money (Ali, et al., 2014). With these rapid
changes, the need for strong credit scoring systems increases. Some countries have strict scoring
systems based on customers historical loans and payments records, while other countries have less

Taking a Look at Chlamydia
Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease caused by bacterial infection that can be transmitted
during sexual contact with an infected person through vaginal anal or oral sex (REF) Symptoms are
usually mild and tend to go unnoticed and this is why it Is known as the silent disease (simms 2006)
Chlamydia infection can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease; (PID) which is the most preventable
cause of infertility (Paavonen and eggert kruse 1999) and affects around 10 40% of women (Health
protection Agency 2009) (HPA). During an episode of PID bacteria can move into the upper
reproductive tract and cause the uterus, fallopian tubes and surrounding areas to become swollen and
scarred (RISSER AND RISSER 2007). Repeated episodes of PID increase the risk of infertility and
ectopic pregnancy and can be more difficult for a woman to become pregnant because her eggs are
unable to pass through easily. (SIMMS 2006) It is estimated that 1 in every 10 women with PID
become infertile. Although blocked and damaged tubes can sometimes be treated, where this is not
possible some woman may consider a procedure called in vitro fertilisation (IVF) to have children.
This involves surgically removing eggs from a woman s ovaries and fertilising them before planting
the eggs back into the woman s womb.(OAKESHOTT AND KERRY ET AL 2010).
The National Chlamydia Screening Program was set up in 2003 by the Department of Health. The aim

Freud, Freud And The Components Of Personality
5.2 Components of Personality According to Freud, the personality structure/psyche/mind of a person,
after modifying the topographical model acts and interacts with three parts namely id, ego and super
ego. This modified model was referred as the structural model of human mind. Let us see each part in
detail. 5.2.1 Id The word id is a latin word meaning it . It is the unorganized part of the personality
structure of a person that comprises of impulsive, basic, instinctual drives of a human being. It is the
child like portion of the mind. Of all the three components, id is the only component that is present
from birth. Hence it represents bodily needs, wants, desires and impulses that do not care about the
demands/expectations of reality and without any accordance to what is right or wrong. According to
Freud, id is the unconscious part of the human mind seeking pleasure. Id acts according to Pleasure
principle. Pleasure principle is defined as the psychic force that demands immediate gratification of
any desire or impulse without showing a single sign of willingness to compromise. The process of
thinking that the id undergoes is called Primary process. This process refers to the illogical, irrational
fantasy form of thought, wherein a person s need is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the reality. Hence ego is said to be a part of id that had been modified by the direct influence of
external cues. At the beginning Freud, meant ego as a sense of self, but later he identified the meaning
of ego with a set of functions namely judgement, tolerance, reality testing, control, planning etc. Ego

One of the main reasons English citizens moved to America was the prospect of freedom from from
religious persecution. Many colonies were founded solely to be a safe haven for religious minorities.
For instance, Massachusetts was founded by a segment of extreme Puritans called, in hopes of practice
their religion without being harassed. The Separatists believed the Church of England maintained too
many similarities with the Catholic Church, and it was their job, as saints, to purify it. Their religious
beliefs angered many people, especially King James, who was the head of the Church of England at

only ones allowed to run public affairs. Only two fifths of the population was actually Puritan, as the
other percentage of the population moved for access to the fertile West Indies. Although the rules
system set up by the colonists was one of the earliest instances of some sort of government run by the
people, the Bay colony was far from a democracy, due to the exclusive nature of the elections.
Another example of the effect religion had on the Bay colony government was evident through the
fact that certain powers were denied to Even though said leaders had control over who was granted

Tiananmen Gate By Takashi Murakami
Visual art and culture has been known to recycle elements from the past to construct new artistic
traditions. Traditional and historical elements such as images and symbols may be taken from their
original context to create a new visual culture, resulting in a reinvention of the element s purpose,
function, and meaning. Through case studies of Tiananmen Gate, Takashi Murakami s art, and
Dongdaemun Design Park and Plaza, it will be demonstrated that aspects of tradition and history are
often used during the creation of modern visual culture and art in Asia to establish a positive
(powerful, innocent, modern etc.) image of the state. Tiananmen Gate was originally a part of a group
of gates that served as formal entrance[s] to a number of subcities . Emphasis on gates and walls in
dynastic China was a manifestation of the belief that power could be maintained only by keeping it
secret . Gates and walls were therefore made to conceal the emperor and to prevent outsiders from
accessing power. The multiple layers of walls and gates of imperial Beijing produced a visually
dominating effect which emphasized the grand authority of the emperor while conjuring admiration in
those who approached it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Symbolically, Mao undermined traditional ideas of power and secrecy when he appeared above
Tiananmen in front of the people to indicate the birth of a new political order. To physically reinvent
the Gate s meaning, the PRC removed the Gate from its historical context by turning it into an
emblem, and by destroying all neighboring gates and walls. The PRC s political intentions became
obvious with the eventual addition of Mao s portrait on the

Emotional Intelligence On Human Resources
Emotional Intelligence in Human Resources Emotional Intelligence is a key role for success in the
workplace, and it is vital for Human Resource Managers. Human Resources Managers deal with
people daily, and Emotional Intelligence should be used in all cases. The ability to know your own
emotions and recognize the emotions of others helps in the communication process with other
individuals. Management, as well as employees, must exhibit high emotional intelligence in order for
the company to grow and function at its highest profitability. As with any other component of a
company, emotional intelligence must be the most prevalent in management. Human Resources

As environment changes, as it does quite often in the workplace, the person with high emotional
intelligence can adapt consequently. A person with low emotional intelligence is less equipped to face
dilemmas inside or outside the workplace. A high emotional intelligence gives those employees and
managers the advantage of accepting a negative situation and doing everything possible to create a
positive outcome. In the workplace, situations that are overly stressful are bound to arise and one with
low emotional intelligence will more than likely remain stagnant, not knowing how to handle the
mountain of stress to achieve the goal.
Emotional Intelligence in Recruiting
While searching for new employees, Human Resource Managers must keep an array of necessary
skills in the forefront of their mind. More recently, Human Resource Managers are starting to demand
employees display a relatively high emotional intelligence along with a high IQ, job experience,
stability, and the right personality (Thygesen, 2014). By hiring a person with an already high

that sometimes onboarding a new recruit can cause. In addition, it helps the Human Resources

Welfare Argument Analysis
The welfare system has a been a debatable topic for many years now. People have various viewpoints
that relate to the welfare system. Most people believe that the welfare system is abused. On the other
hand, people do not mind paying more money for the less fortunate to be provided with food, shelter,
etc. This is a hard topic to consider because there are countless variables that play a major role in how
much money one could receive from welfare or other forms of government assistance. Mountain
Heights Academy presents an argumentative speech. In this argument, the unknown author addresses
that the welfare system must be reformed because the current system has only increased poverty
levels. It additionally addresses that there is a wide range ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Assumptions weaken an argument because it is often difficult to argue unless the audience shares the
same assumptions. The assumptions need to clearly be explained and not left for interpretation. The
author claims that several of the families keep having more babies to increase their handouts from the
government (Mountain Heights Academy). However, the author seems to have no background such as
being a social worker which deals with assisting lower class people with government funding such as
welfare. They additionally have no proof that people have children only to receive money from the
government. Also, the opposing side is never addressed. There are some individuals and families that
truly need the welfare system to assist them sometimes. They do not necessarily live off it or have
children only to collect money from the government. This assumption can be interpreted many ways
because there is no proof. This assumption weakens the argument tremendously. For instance, the
author mentioned that the welfare program as we know does absolutely nothing that it was set up to do
(Mountain Heights Academy). The author remarks that welfare system does nothing, but does not
provide any facts or other information to support the assumption. Information or research could have
been provided to justify why the current welfare system does nothing. This assumption is left for
interpretation by the

Marco Polo was born in c.1254 in Venice. He was a Venetian explorer and merchant whose account of

Kublai Khan greeted the Polo s warmly and invited them to stay in his court. The Polo s became great

Pros And Cons Of Complementary And Alternative Medicine
ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE

Alternative Medicine
Some people often apply complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) if they do not feel the
needed result after the traditional modern treatment. Contrarily, another group of humans does not
completely believe in standard medical care using only this type of medicine. Thus, manual therapy is
rather an effective type of non traditional medicine requiring special education and professional skills
from each CAM practitioner.
According to Mayo Clinic (2014), Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is the popular
term for health and wellness therapies that have typically not been part of conventional Western
medicine. Manipulative therapy or manual therapy belongs to CAM and it is a physical treatment
mainly used by massage therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists,
osteopathic physicians, osteopaths, and chiropractors to treat musculoskeletal disability and pain.
Moreover, manual therapy usually includes muscle manipulation and kneading, joint manipulation and
joint mobilization.
Manual therapy includes various techniques for patients treatment; however, before each procedure
the manual practitioner has to perpetrate a full assessment of the nerve and blood supply in addition to
muscle and bone assessment for determination of possible complications after these techniques. Only
after the full exam can the practitioner use one or more types of manual physical therapy, which

they were also similar in some aspects. Historically, the Frick Collection was a private collection by

were displayed was that in each hallway, one painting in every room would appear right in front of
you, which also portrays the value of each of those paintings because of the way they were placed to
be seen. (2) Both museums are situated in wealthy areas of New York City and thus indicate that there
may be an association between the grandeur of museums and wealth or sophistication. Another aspect
that I found to be very interesting was the way in which each of the museums offered different
multimedia formats to facilitate the visitor s experience with the artwork in display. I noticed that both
museums offered applications for smartphones and tablets, free of charge, to assist the visitors with
getting the most possible out of the museum. Visiting a museum can be a very distracting task because
there is so much to see and without a plan or a navigating system that helps you make your way

Use Of Technology For Preventing Drowsiness At The Time
Various investigation show that driver s drowsiness is one of the main cause of road accidents. The
development of technology for preventing drowsiness at the time is a major challenge in the field of
accidents avoidance. The advance in computing technology has provided the means for building
intelligent vehicle system. The purpose of this study is to detect the drowsiness in driver to prevent
accidents and to improve safety on the highway. The aim of this project is to design an Accident
Prevention System which helps in preventing or avoiding accidents.
A real time face detection is implemented to locate driver s face region. A method of detecting
drowsiness in drivers developed by using a camera that points directly towards the driver face and
capture for the video. As a detection method, the system uses image processing technology using
MATLAB to analysis images of the driver face taken with the help of video camera. The captured
video is done, it is converted into numbers of frame of face and monitoring of the face region and eyes
in order to detect drowsiness. The system is able to monitoring eyes and determine whether the eyes
are in an open or closed. This detection system provides a non contact technique for judging various
level of alertness and facilitates early detection of a decline in alertness during driving.

The Firefly Hunt
For decades, writing has been a way for authors to create byproducts of themselves and portray their
alike qualities within what the outside world would like to consider fictional characters. It s not
uncommon to the writing world of novels and prestigious narratives take Stephen King for example:
although he didn t hide his motives as he used his original name in Songs of Susannah, he introduced
himself into the plot nonetheless, creating a familiar atmosphere where realism was incorporated into
a dream. When reading short stories like Red Cranes by Jacey Choy and The Firefly Hunt by Jun

Like the reader, authors can get lost in their words and find themselves in the shoes of someone they
are fabricating. This recycles their thought process, which ultimately forces them to reword their fears
and doubts in order for the reader to connect with their tone. In a passage of Red Cranes, Choy forms
her character, Mie, to ask questions despite her underlining terror of receiving a scolding in response.
For a young girl in Japan, practicality was the only way to survive, and when Mie voiced her thoughts
of imagining herself on the back of a red crane, flying high in the air (p.4), her mother disregarded her
wild ideas for a young girl (p.13), and in return, told her to focus on her reading and writing. It s a
contrast to the way Sachiko freely thought inside of her mind, holding the dreamer at bay inside of
her. Instead, her silent thoughts were incorporated into the description of her surroundings, where the
air was dreamy and calm with nature s natural light fluttering around her. Both girls are visionaries,
but they are lost in different reveries. While both authors might have experienced the need to love the
world at every single angle, their characters and perhaps the nonfictional result of the writers
themselves found different paths to take at the end of their respective

Problems With College Bathrooms
College dorms are always a great experience for your first year of college because we get to meet new

is a problem for me because I am not used to someone I don t know coming in the bathroom while I m
in the shower. I feel uncomfortable knowing that someone else is in there. There should be a change in
residence hall bathrooms that make students feel more comfortable and safe while being in the
bathroom.
As a college student, I feel as if in each dorm room should consist of a bathroom with a shower, sink,
and toilet. Each dorm should have their own bathroom because it would be more sanitary than sharing
a bathroom with 10 or more people every day. Schools should extend dorm rooms by taking out the
public bathrooms that way they can expand the rooms to fit the bathrooms. It would also be more
convenient to students because they wouldn t have to rush to be the first one in the shower in the
morning it would be right there in the room. You also won t have to worry about dirty showers or hair
stuck in the drains. To get this put into place students could start a petition for this to happen and if we
have enough hopefully the school will take it into consideration. This would be the best solution

1. Why do you think Thomas Paine writes Common Sense anonymously? How does he think his work
will be remembered? Thomas Paine wrote Common Sense anonymously because the ideas he used in
writing the book were contradicting the government at that time. If the government knew that he wrote
it then they will take action against him to punish him. He probably thought that his work would
remain as something memorable such as it was only there to raise the spirit of the colonist to fight

assume Gideon s point of views. He thinks that all men are equal and no one man can be above the

How Insects Are Affected By Different Food And...
Animal behavior can be defined as how animals respond to different environmental inducements
(Schussler 2014). Furthermore, by studying how animal s react to these stimulus we can determine
what shapes an animals behavior. In addition, the way an insect travels can define how prosperous or
how non prosperous an insect will be in finding vital resources such as finding nutrients, reproducing,
and their habitat location (Romero et. al. 2010). One interesting question is how insects are affected by
different food and environmental ques. Based upon earlier research conducted by Stephen P.
Yanoviak, insects prefer salt when compared against to sugar because they are less exposed to salt.
(Sanders 2008). For that reason, in this study we are investigating how the flour beetle (Tribolium
spp.) is affected by a variety of food resources. From earlier research conducted on ground beetles, the
researchers found that beetles feast on a variety of food sources (Lovei Sunderland, 1996). The reason
we are studying this is because we believe that the type food source plays a dynamic role in flour
beetle behavior. One question that lead us to perform this study is that food is a vital resource that
beetles must have to survive. We wanted to see what food sources is most influential and why. This
study was focused on how beetle behavior is influenced by a variety of food sources. We conducted
two test in this study. We based our first hypothesis off of earlier research on the topic.

wrongful of a medication gives to patient that leads to or has the potential to harm the patient. Surgical
errors include wrong site surgery, nerve damage, leaving equipment inside a patient and anesthesia
errors. Second issue is physician and nurse shortage. A physician and nurse shortage is a situation in
which there are not enough physicians and nurses to treat all patients in need of reasonable medical
care.
Next issue is food labeling requirements where food packaging should be labeled like what have been
prescribed under Food Act 1983 and Food Regulations 1985. Then it comes to food safety issues.
There are foods in market that do not fit for human consumption or are hazardous to health. For
examples, China tainted baby formula scandal. Last consumers issue with respect to health and food
intake is short weight issue. Some manufacturers and suppliers supply foods of false weight or
measure with the intention to deceive consumers and generate more profits.
In addition to health, housing is related to consumer sciences too. First issue is the late delivery of
vacant possession. The duties of suppliers under the contract stated that the developer must deliver the
vacant possession within 24 months from the date of their contract, but some developers are still
delivering

Essay On Psychological Torture
It is illegal for American soldiers, military personnel, and other agents to inflict physical torture upon
anyone. As a result, America has turned to psychological torture, where the rules are more hazy and
undefined. Unfortunately, psychological torture often will affect the victim in ways that will last much
longer than most forms of physical torture. One of these methods of psychological torture is music,
and it is used to inflict pain in several different ways. The FBI has previously used music and other
noise in order to disorient members of the opposing side during sieges in 1993, and also used music in
interrogation, especially in Iraq and Guantanamo Bay during the War on Terror following 9/11
(Johnson and Cloonan, 151, 2009). Music ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If music is played to prisoners for hours on end at volumes that are tremendously loud, it doesn t just
break down their willpower. Music as torture disorients a person so much that the victim is reduced to
an infantile state of psychic helplessness (Lingis, 152, 2017), and is not simply reduced to impotence,
helplessness, but to a state of ever greater dependency on his or her torturer (Lingis, 153, 2017). The
victim is left with a total loss of identity, and completely relies on his torturer. Despite there being no
physical contact, this form of torture will greatly affect the victim psychologically, in ways that are
arguably much worse and longer lasting than nearly anything that could physically be done to them.
The fact that this form of torture is done in the name of American citizens puts a weight on American s
shoulders they should not have to bear. If an American citizen would not want to be victim to this
form of torture by music, they should not have to carry the weight of this act being done to someone
else. Music as violence is more likely to leave lasting psychological problems, and thus makes it
worse than physical

  • 2. The Decision Tree Algorithms And Grows The Tree By... This is a pedagogical algorithm, which extracts the rules in the form of decision trees. This is similar to most of the decision tree algorithms and grows the tree by recursive partitioning. At every step it stores a queue of leaves that can be further expanded to sub trees and this process is repeated until a stopping condition is met. Traditional decision trees methods have a limited number of training observations. So they only have fewer number of observations to decide upon the split and leaf node class labels but on the other hand, Trepan re labels the original observations to the classifications made by the network. And the relabeled data will be used for the tree growing process. Additionally it can also add extra data points by mimicking the behavior of the network. It uses the network as an oracle to answer the classification queries about the newly generated data points. This way it can make sure that whenever a split node or leaf node class decision is made there are at least S_(min ) number of data points. Where S_(min )is a user specified number. Whenever we generate new data points at any particular node, we have to make sure that they satisfy all the constraints from root to the current node. One of the approach to distribute the data points over a network is to employ uniform distribution, but Trepan takes into account the distribution of data i.e. at each node it estimates the marginal distribution of data. If the data at the input is continuous then it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Drew Mingione Ms. Speirs English 10H A4 April 27, 2017 The Continuous Cycle of War Ever since the days of Mesopotamia from the agricultural revolution, war has been a constant and important part of human life. Over time though, humans have evolved and gotten stronger and smarter which lead to more competition. War from its beginning, has consistently stemmed from the innate sense of evolutionary survival and subsequent competition, thus securing it s inevitable perpetuation. The only thing that every person has in common is that they want to survive. Humans are always fighting. Religions differing has caused many conflicts throughout history. The feeling of attachment to tribalism and fake patriotism under the umbrella of religion is stronger and more apparent than respect for human rights and pluralism (Mhamed 2). When people are tied so greatly to their religion, they will be willing to throw away their morals and do whatever they deem is right for their beliefs, leading to constant wars. different tribal and so called patriotic groups resort to religion to gain legacy and popularity (Mhamad 2). Religion is even just a way to unite people to war such as saying they are doing something in the name of their deity Both survival and competition, consequently have caused continuous wars throughout human history. Humans are always fighting since the beginning of time. Wherever there is an enemy, animate or inanimate, there must be a victory. You must prevail at the front, no matter how high the cost at home (Wilson 1). There will always be war for these reasons. Nationalism is one of the key examples coming from this quote and it is said for a very good reason. group versus group competition was a principal driving force that made us what we are. • 7. 3T3 Morphology and Lipid Analysis of 3T3 L1 cells pre and post differentiation Erin Kim 1 Abstract This report will look at the morphology of 3T3 L1 cells pre and post differentiation and the percent lipid in our adipocytes after differentiation. The analysis of cell morphology is important to study cell behaviour such as the uptake of nutrients [1]. Three different plates of 3T3 L1 cells were examined. 2 of the plates were grown then differentiated into adipocytes. After differentiation, these cells were fixed with formalin then one was stained with Oil Red O. The last plate was grown to confluency, but did not undergo differentiation before fixing with formalin. After imaging these cells using a fluorescence microscope, the images were analyzed with the Image J software. Image J analyzed the shape index of the cell our results showed the adipocytes to have a shape index of 0.888±0.030 in comparison to than the undifferentiated fibroblasts, which had a shape index of 0.335±0.082. The purpose of this study was to examine 3T3 L1 cells before and after differentiation to compare their morphology and lipid content. 1 Before staining the differentiated cells, they were fixed using formalin (cross linking) to preserve the cell structure. By staining the cells with Oil Red O, we were able to stain the lipid within the cell, which increases the contrast of a cell and makes it easier to visualize the lipid content within each cell ... • 9. Analysis Of The Poem Caged Bird By Maya Angelou The poem Caged Bird by Maya Angelou tells the story of two birds: one bird has the luxury of freedom and the second bird lives its life caged and maltreated by an unknown tyrant. Maya Angelou wrote this poem during the Civil Rights Era, the period when black activists in the 1950 s and 1960 s fought for desegregation of African Americans. This poem parallels the oppression that African Americans were fighting during this time period. In Caged Bird , Angelou builds a strong contrast that shows the historical context of discrimination and segregation through the use of mood, symbolism, and theme. The mood of Caged Bird changes drastically from stanza to stanza. Angelou s specific diction choices help to reflect the change from being positive to negative with some elements of hope involved. The parts of the poem involving the free bird provide the reader with a feeling of self government. In contrast, the mood associated with the caged bird is confinment. Despite the negative mood tied to the caged bird there are still elements of hope woven into these stanzas. The first stanza of the poem introduce the free bird. Angelou uses words such as leaps . . . and floats (Line 1 3) in description of this character s movements. These actions relate directly to moving without restrictions. The words leaped and floats are contradicted immediately in the second stanza as Angelou brings the caged bird into the picture. Angelou uses diction that complements confinement ... However, the conversation often seems overly caught up in the finer points of politics and media coverage rather than the real people that these decisions affect. I think it s fair to say that American attitudes toward the poor are more often than not, disdain and fear. There s a common myth that people are forced into poverty because they are simply lazy or inferior, the truth is it is harder to feed and clothe your family than ever before. Poverty in this country is not accidental, it is a direct result of funneling wealth upstream; the rich get richer and the poor suffer. The poor you will always ... Many Americans are working at low paying, dead end jobs that will never give them a chance to improve their status in the marketplace, every day necessities eat up the small income these people do get. Poverty is like a bleeding wound. It weakens the defenses. It lowers resistance. It attracts predators (Shipler 18). Look around, in every city neighborhood and small town is a title loan or pay day loan store charging ridiculous interest rates but promising financial freedom to those that just ask. This is just a form legal loan sharking. • 12. The Impact of Lipolysis on Different Cheese Varieties Impact of Lipolysis in Different Cheese Varieties Introduction During the process of ripening, biochemical processes that take place in the cheese are the most importance factors that contribute in speedy ripening process. Other than well studied, proteolysis, most important roles in cheese ripening involves lipolysis, the fat burning process. Ripening is the main process in which development of the cheese flavor takes place. During the process of ripening a large number of sapid compounds are produced which if present in the correct ratios and concentrations lead to the best flavor development. Three processes are known that contribute in the production of these compounds, lipolysis, proteolysis and glycolysis. The flavor development in cheese depends upon the degree in which these three processes functions that play key roles in distinct differences between cheese varieties. Extent of Lipolysis in Cheese The studies have shown that the extent of lipolysis is different and varied in different kinds of cheese. Dutch type cheese has lesser extent of lipolysis to extensive lipolysis as seen in much harder, ripened Italian cheese. In the case of Emmental cheese, it is seen that only 1 2% of the lipids are hydrolyzed, and the highest being in Blue cheese (Kilcawley, and Beresford, 2004, p. 34). These studies have set out to show what how much of an effect culture has on dreams. To measure this, other researchers have recorded participants typical dreams. These studies have helped us to understand some of the differences in beliefs, values, and structure of other cultures as well as the differences and similarities. Through analyzing the differences and similarities of our various cultures we learn what humans share in values as a whole and how our society influences our thinking and actions. By interviewing two people from two different collectivistic cultures, there should be a great deal of similarities between the two. Any differences recorded found will be derived from individual perspectives rather than culture. The goal of the research is to show culture doesn t heavily influence our dreams but rather individual perceptions of the world around them do. There isn t a significant difference in typical dreams between cultures, rather researchers tend to agree that culture doesn t have much of an effect on dreams and it has more to do with our individual perception of our day (Jaenicke 2009). • 18. Literature Review Of The Banking Industry CHAPTER 2: LITERATURE REVIEW 2.1 Introduction The banking industry started long time ago to provide financial services to merchants in Athens, Venice, Genoa, Florence, and other commercial cities (Conant, 1915). Coins and banknotes were used to facilitate trading and exchanging goods. As the idea of money movement grew, central banks were developed to act as a third party center of trust (Rousseau Sylla, 2003). For decades, banks used to work in the same manner using the same traditional business models as banknotes and paper records. In 1967, the first ATM machine was introduced (Kumbhar, 2011). The SWIFT foundation was then established in 1973 to secure money transactions between different banks. Swift messages do not transfer money; they just send PO (Payment Orders) that must be settled by financial institutions worldwide (Scott Zachariadis, 2014). Recently, new changes took place in the surrounding environment where new digital products appeared, regulations were mandated, and customer behavior patterns were developed (Hirst, 2017). Bitcoin was introduced in 2009, though still not used in traditional banks, but it has emerged a new era of digitizing money and is considered as internet of money (Ali, et al., 2014). Although blocked and damaged tubes can sometimes be treated, where this is not possible some woman may consider a procedure called in vitro fertilisation (IVF) to have children. This involves surgically removing eggs from a woman s ovaries and fertilising them before planting the eggs back into the woman s womb.(OAKESHOTT AND KERRY ET AL 2010). This recycles their thought process, which ultimately forces them to reword their fears and doubts in order for the reader to connect with their tone. In a passage of Red Cranes, Choy forms her character, Mie, to ask questions despite her underlining terror of receiving a scolding in response. For a young girl in Japan, practicality was the only way to survive, and when Mie voiced her thoughts of imagining herself on the back of a red crane, flying high in the air (p.4), her mother disregarded her wild ideas for a young girl (p.13), and in return, told her to focus on her reading and writing. It s a contrast to the way Sachiko freely thought inside of her mind, holding the dreamer at bay inside of her. Instead, her silent thoughts were incorporated into the description of her surroundings, where the air was dreamy and calm with nature s natural light fluttering around her. Both girls are visionaries, but they are lost in different reveries. While both authors might have experienced the need to love the world at every single angle, their characters and perhaps the nonfictional result of the writers themselves found different paths to take at the end of their respective ... There is just one problem the bathrooms they could be changed. There should be no CO ED bathroom, install more showers, give each room their own bathroom, or put locks on the shower. This is a problem for me because I am not used to someone I don t know coming in the bathroom while I m in the shower. I feel uncomfortable knowing that someone else is in there. There should be a change in residence hall bathrooms that make students feel more comfortable and safe while being in the bathroom. As a college student, I feel as if in each dorm room should consist of a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. Each dorm should have their own bathroom because it would be more sanitary than sharing a bathroom with 10 or more people every day. Schools should extend dorm rooms by taking out the public bathrooms that way they can expand the rooms to fit the bathrooms. It would also be more convenient to students because they wouldn t have to rush to be the first one in the shower in the morning it would be right there in the room. You also won t have to worry about dirty showers or hair stuck in the drains. To get this put into place students could start a petition for this to happen and if we have enough hopefully the school will take it into consideration. • 40. How Insects Are Affected By Different Food And... Animal behavior can be defined as how animals respond to different environmental inducements (Schussler 2014). Furthermore, by studying how animal s react to these stimulus we can determine what shapes an animals behavior. In addition, the way an insect travels can define how prosperous or how non prosperous an insect will be in finding vital resources such as finding nutrients, reproducing, and their habitat location (Romero et. al. 2010). One interesting question is how insects are affected by different food and environmental ques. Based upon earlier research conducted by Stephen P. Yanoviak, insects prefer salt when compared against to sugar because they are less exposed to salt. (Sanders 2008). For that reason, in this study we are investigating how the flour beetle (Tribolium spp.) is affected by a variety of food resources. From earlier research conducted on ground beetles, the researchers found that beetles feast on a variety of food sources (Lovei Sunderland, 1996). The reason we are studying this is because we believe that the type food source plays a dynamic role in flour beetle behavior. One question that lead us to perform this study is that food is a vital resource that beetles must have to survive. We wanted to see what food sources is most influential and why. This study was focused on how beetle behavior is influenced by a variety of food sources. We conducted two test in this study. We based our first hypothesis off of earlier research on the topic. ... • 43. Essay On Psychological Torture It is illegal for American soldiers, military personnel, and other agents to inflict physical torture upon anyone. As a result, America has turned to psychological torture, where the rules are more hazy and undefined. Unfortunately, psychological torture often will affect the victim in ways that will last much longer than most forms of physical torture. One of these methods of psychological torture is music, and it is used to inflict pain in several different ways. The FBI has previously used music and other noise in order to disorient members of the opposing side during sieges in 1993, and also used music in interrogation, especially in Iraq and Guantanamo Bay during the War on Terror following 9/11 (Johnson and Cloonan, 151, 2009). Music ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If music is played to prisoners for hours on end at volumes that are tremendously loud, it doesn t just break down their willpower. Music as torture disorients a person so much that the victim is reduced to an infantile state of psychic helplessness (Lingis, 152, 2017), and is not simply reduced to impotence, helplessness, but to a state of ever greater dependency on his or her torturer (Lingis, 153, 2017). The victim is left with a total loss of identity, and completely relies on his torturer. Despite there being no physical contact, this form of torture will greatly affect the victim psychologically, in ways that are arguably much worse and longer lasting than nearly anything that could physically be done to them. The fact that this form of torture is done in the name of American citizens puts a weight on American s shoulders they should not have to bear. If an American citizen would not want to be victim to this form of torture by music, they should not have to carry the weight of this act being done to someone else.
