2. Oliver Cromwell Research Paper
Oliver Cromwell, born April 25, 1599. He was the Lord Protector for England, Ireland and Scotland,
also being a military and political leader in earlier stages for England. Oliver was one of ten children.
Having seven sisters and two brothers, Oliver was the only son to survive past infancy. Oliver, along
with his other siblings were all born in Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, England. While in a local
school as a young boy it was said that he was more or so drawn to being a Puritan by most of his
teachers and professors. He often went against others and their religious beliefs because he was such a
strong willed Puritan. In sixteen sixteen Cromwell entered into Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge but
soon after left because of the sudden ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Huntingdon, where he farmed and helped in local affairs throughout the town. During those few years
he went through several stages of deep depression but got treated by a London doctor by the name of
Theodore de Mayerne in 1628. Elizabeth and Oliver were said to have nine children. From oldest to
youngest was, Robert Cromwell, Oliver Cromwell, Bridget Cromwell, Richard Cromwell who was a
Lord Protector, Henry Cromwell who was Lord Deputy of Ireland, Elizabeth Cromwell, James
Cromwell, Mary Cromwell, and the youngest being Frances Cromwell. In the year of 1631 he sold
most of his land in Huntingdonshire and moved to a place in St. Ives in Cambridgeshire. As he did this
it was said to be a major halt and downgrade in society. He later sent his cousin a letter talking of his
firm beliefs in puritism, also saying that all of the Catholic practices in church needed to stop because
these people were living in sin. By the end of the 1630s Cromwell had become a fully committed
Puritan. So on Oliver s first term in Parliament lasted a little less than a year. The king had declared
war upon Scotland he was forced to call parliament again to raise taxes to help pay for much

3. How Did Popular Music Affect The Civil Rights Movement
Music during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960 s Music, and particularly cultural, social, and
political songs, has remained an essential facet of the longstanding tradition of uprisings and struggle
for change in American culture. It is difficult to fathom the passions and purposefulness of pop culture
music in the civil rights movement of the 1960s; thanks to the freedom songs, whose endeavor was to
mobilize and reinforce collective participation in the civil rights campaigns, demonstrations, and
protests (Stefani, 2015). The three songs from this period that exemplify popular music s role in
calling for positive change regarding civil rights included We Shall Overcome by Southern African
American tobacco workers, Ain t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Round by Freedom Singers, and People
Get Ready by Curtis Mayfield. We Shall Overcome , performed by one of the musical ensembles
Southern African American tobacco workers was one of the popular freedom songs during the civil
rights movement of 1960s. This song was emblematic of the civil rights period. Fundamentally, the
song accompanied the protests and explored the labor conditions for Southern African American
tobacco workers. The part of the song s lyrics that states I ll be all right someday is a clear illustration
of the hostile working conditions and thus the hope for a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

4. The Importance Of A Second Language Acquisition
Take a look around in any instruction manual, what do you notice besides the instructions? The fact
that it is printed in at least two different languages, sometimes even more than that. The United States
is often referred to as the melting pot of many cultures. This is shown in everyday life from an
instruction manual for new products to having alternate language television channels. The use of a
second language is becoming a necessity of life. Second language acquisition (SLA) is the acquiring
of a language that is not the native language spoken by an individual. It is often referred to as speaking
a foreign language, but it is more than just speaking, it is a complete learning process (Troike, 2012).
Acquiring a second language is only part of the situation; when should it be taught is the question
more people are asking. A second language is necessary and should be taught in elementary school
because of the nation s need for multilingualism, the early learning of a language is easier, the
creativity of diversity is enhanced, and it can have a social impact on our changing society.
The need for multilingualism and second language acquisition is growing. Rowena Alegria is a subject
editor for the Spanish language weekly Viva Colorado, and explains that this is not a new topic, but
one that has gone on for years with different speaking immigrants (2011). Many countries have more
the one national language. Worldwide communications that are done are not just in English. He

While it lessens the burden on organizations, reducing and shifting the cost and risk of its IT
operation, security and management issues to an external service provider or vendor, outsourcing any
portions of an organization s Information System has significant risks that can sometimes become

The theft or sharing of information could be intentional or unintentional. In any of these case, even if
the outsourcing service provider keeps the outsourced information available, unchanged and
accessible to the owners at all times, there are still risks of possible data confidentiality issues.
The use of an enterprise service provider for processing information systems applications such as
payroll, human resources, or sales order taking is another excellent way for organizations to minimize
cost while still experience the full benefit of an IT system. It is worth noting that while this is very
cost effective and significantly reduces the load on an organization, outsourcing an organization s IT
applications to an enterprise service provider for processing is a risky path to thread. Information
privacy and integrity are at a very great risk here. An enterprise service provider or employers of the
provider are capable of selling out the customers, employees and sales information of one organization
to another. Employees of the Service providers could also include their name (create false employees)
among the names of legitimate employees of the outsourced organization and masquerade as one of
the real employees and receive pay every pay period. These and other privacy and integrity concern
must be taken into serious consideration by organization outsourcing interested in outsourcing to an
enterprise service

6. The Between China And China
The theme of duality appears again in the Court of Final Appeal in Central. Opened in 1912 as the site
of the Supreme Court, the two story granite neoclassical styled building is supported by ionic columns
and features a statue of Themis, the Greek Goddess of Justice, who is blindfolded and holds a scale.
According to Simon Ng, an assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong, the blindfolded
Themis standing right above the royal coat of arms is a visual reiteration of the centuries old ideal of
rule of law that even the sovereign must be subject to the law and reason. Because of newly instituted
western education, Hong Kong became susceptible to the ideas of fairness and impartiality in the
justice system, which along with its capitalist economy, further differentiated itself from China. This
concept of one country, two systems is an important element of Hong Kong governance, and by
extension, its people. This represents a time when Hong Kong is slowly pulling its influence away
from China.
Due to its insulation from China that ran a communist government, Hong Kong was able to flourish as
an international financial center under a free market economy. Thus, it was natural for multinational
companies to build their headquarters in Central, Hong Kong s main business district. However, the
lack of space in Central compelled companies to build towering skyscrapers in the late 20th century.
The result was a diverse skyline that to this day, showcases some of the best in

8. The Role Of Popular News Media On An Electoral Environment
Information and Power
Information flow is a crucial component of any electoral process. The modern leadership dynamics,
which embraces democracy, rests on the electoral processes as the tools for gaining power. It,
therefore, means that an environment where the information flow is free, efficient and seamless
experiences balanced power distribution. In other circumstances, some people could, by design or
default, have the upper hand in the access to information. This means that these individuals have
greater balance of power to exercise it over others who may not be privileged enough to access it
(Bates). This is the context that explains the role of information agents or media and communication

Ghost are Real Ghosts, as with any other misunderstood group or people, have been preyed upon by

In a sense our essence will not change. Just as there are disagreeable people we meet in life, there will
be disagreeable Spirits we will encounter. Some people believe all ghosts to be evil. This is not so.
Just because a person does, not for whatever reason, go on after death does not make them evil or
mean they are here to do harm. In theory, ghosts are the remnants of what was once a human being.
Someone, who at one time, had substance on this earth. They are everything that we, as living
creatures, are but without the vehicle we call the human body. They exhibit all the mental attributes
that you and I have such as thought, conscience, emotions and emotional needs, morals, calculation,
ego, personality and everything that makes up the human psyche. Acknowledging the existence of
ghosts or spirits leads one to ask why they are here. Here are several answers. One reason is that the
spirit does not realize, or refuses to believe, that it has died. This can often be the case, but not always.
If one suffers a sudden or unexpected death, in disbelief, they may not pass on to whatever
destination. Denial or unawareness may be the key to someone remaining behind. They will continue
to go about their daily lives as though nothing happened. There are documented cases of this instance.
Take for example; a mother dies unexpectedly, obviously she d want to be home with her family.

Final Exam
Why should we have mandated early intervention and early childhood education for children with
disabilities and their families? Provide a rationale for each. 8 pts.
The benefits of early intervention (EI) and early childhood education (ECE) are very clear. They help
improve children s skills, knowledge, and way of navigating the world while having some form of a
disability. EI is usually provided in the child s home, giving their family the opportunity to learn more
about their child and how to assist in creating a better life for him/her. It also gets the entire family
involved in the care of the child, which is important for parents who feel that they may not be able to
make a difference in their child s life or for parents who believe it is their fault that their child has a
disability. Through education and services provided, the family will be able to function as efficiently
as would a family who doesn t have a member with a disability.
Early childhood education is especially helpful for each individual child with a disability. It puts them
in a place of inclusion while improving their language and social skills and gives them a place outside
of the home to achieve goals that are more individualized and about them rather than their family.
Being in an inclusive environment with peers their age would increase their social skills and help them
to navigate the world around with less barriers. These skills

13. How Is Heathcliff A Double Character
Emily Bronte s Wuthering Heights display of cultural and physical features of an environment
affecting one s character and moral traits is showcased through the first Catherine s development
throughout the novel. Catherine is forced to adopt a double character , as she lives as a rebellious,
passionate woman on the turbulent Wuthering Heights, while behaving politely and courtly on the
elegant Thrushcross Grange(Bronte, 48). Each of these environments also contains a love interest of
Catherine s, each man parallel with the characteristics of their environments: Heathcliff, the passionate
and destructive, residing in Wuthering Heights, while the civilized and gentle Edgar inhabits
Thrushcross Grange. Catherine s development in character due to her setting significantly contributes
to the theme that pursuing passionate love is dangerous, such as the love shared by Heathcliff and
Catherine.
When Catherine resides in Thrushcross Grange, her coarse demeanor is heavily augmented by the
values of the upper class. Catherine s return from a five weeks stay at Thrushcross Grange renders her
manners much improved and her appearance as a very dignified person (Bronte,37). Catherine proves

In the world of psychology, nature versus nurture is a common theme theorists attribute to differences
in the personalities of children. However, there may be other influences that have greater impact early
in life. When it comes to the disposition of a person, the order in which they were born within a family
leaves an ineffaceable effect. A child s inclination toward certain personality traits can be the result of
their inherent position within their family. Many famous psychologists theorize about and study the
effects of family birth order among siblings. The most renowned psychologist in the world, Sigmund

They mature as only children, pampered and the center of attention, until their siblings are born and
they are dethroned (Allpsych). First born children, when compared to their siblings, tend to have a
greater chance of developing feelings of inferiority as their focal position in the family structure is
altered by the birth of a sibling (Bnet). They often are especially vulnerable to stress, and have a
strong desire to gain attention and seek the approval of others (Allpysch). Unlike the independent
leaders only children become, oldest children can be left feeling cheated and unsuccessful. Adler
himself was a middle child of three. His categories of second born and middle children of large
families are almost identical. The second born child can be epitomized by a dream in which the child
is constantly running but going nowhere (Webspace). They are constantly overshadowed by their older
siblings. However, they do tend to have stronger social skills (Bnet). Second and middle children
become very spontaneous and adaptable from constantly dealing with both older and younger siblings.
Having children both older and younger in the family seems to leave a positive influence on middle
children. While the oldest and youngest may team up together, the second becomes the mediator
between the two. This obviously leaves a lasting effect on their personality as second born children are
often predominant in fighting injustice later in life

promotes keratinocyte proliferation and in turn creates higher levels of retinoic acid. Retinoic acid is a
key ingredient for sky hydration and overall skin health. The process will then in turn create new
collagen, which is an important part of the skin s developmental matrix. In the end, the process will

20. The Decline Of Newspaper Is Bad For The Us Analysis
The age of newspapers has passed. Laura Finley s The Decline of Newspapers Is Bad for the US
asserts that without newspapers citizens are deprived of information essential to understanding their
world . Newspapers are the source at which the world communicates and when they come to a cease,
the information also ceases.
Finley s asserts that Journalist, scholars, and activists worry that, if the trend continues, the US will be
a nation without newspapers , which infers a nation without newspapers could be the downfall to its
government. A democratic government is a government which the people rule but if the people are
uninformed the government is skewed. Finley quotes Thomas Jefferson s opinion on government and
newspapers to give the reader someone to relate to, he is the people s common factor. Thomas
Jefferson once said that, should we have to choose between government without newspapers or
newspapers without government, he would surely favor the newspapers . The newspapers themselves
give the public information so that it can petition, speak, and write when dissatisfied; can vote with
adequate knowledge about the candidates and issues; and can understand their civic duties and ...

reporters the information that is spread to the public is less dependable. Finley uses a study by
Princeton University that found a decline in candidates willing to challenge incumbents and a decrease
in the number of people voting in local elections as a result of the 2007 closure of the Cincinnati Post .
Princeton s study invokes that the loss of their newspaper created a loss in public knowledge of
voting. This exacerbated decline in readership vastly relies on the fact that people will determine the

21. An Analysis Of Tom Stoppard s Rosencrantz And Guildenstern...
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern fail to interpret the world around them, to interpret the purpose of their
journey, and even to interpret their own identities throughout Tom Stoppard s Rosencrantz and
Guildenstern are Dead. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern fail to interpret the meaning of these things,
because they seem to lack such basic information as their own identities, and as a result spend the
entirety of the play in a state of constant confusion. Their confusion stems from both the sheer
randomness of the universe, illustrated by the bizarre coin tossing scene, and the ambiguous and
unclear motives of the other characters, who pop onstage and deliver brief, perplexing speeches before
quickly exiting. The play ultimately suggests that the prominent ... Show more content on

Rosencrantz blithely flips a coin, notes it as heads, and pockets it, over and over again, never
questioning why the coins keep coming up heads. Guildenstern, in contrast, worries that the two have
entered an alternate universe, since standard laws of probability dictate that a coin has an equal chance
of coming up heads or tails. The more coins Rosencrantz wins, the more frightened Guildenstern gets.
When Rosencrantz tires of the coin flipping, he begins cutting his fingernails and imagining what
happens to the nails after death, foreshadowing the deaths in Act III. His actions demonstrate a relaxed
attitude toward the world: he generally believes that everything is and will be okay, and he has no
interest in worrying about unknowns. Guildenstern, however, shows a more complicated range of
emotions and thought patterns. While Rosencrantz passively accepts the results of the coin flipping,
Guildenstern actively struggles to figure out what the results might mean. Unlike Rosencrantz,
Guildenstern demonstrates a willingness to interpret and engage with the world around him.
It seems that, while they, or at least Guildenstern, would like to have some understanding of life s
mysteries, they are somehow able to largely ignore an idea so central and personal as their own fates.

My first article author was ( Tara Mastroeni). This article is basically about how the buildings are all

clouds, and the proportions of human body. Humans have incorporated it into everything from the
mathematics to artwork and music. That you or any person can make anything as long as you know

25. Capitalism And Socialism And Capitalism
For more than a century capitalism and socialism have been contending to be the best economic
system. Socialism is a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the
means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a
whole. Capitalism is an economic and political system in which a country s trade and industry that is
controlled by private owners for profit. Capitalism is the heart and soul of America s economy. A
capitalist economy can take a person from rags to riches or from riches to rags depending on the path
that is taken by one s free will. This concept has made many American citizens wonder if the capitalist
path the path worth taking. There have been radicals throughout the history of the U.S. who were not
satisfied by the capitalist system as well as its ideals. One of those radicals, Huey Long, a Democratic
populist who was a senator of Louisiana from 1932 1935, gave a speech entitled Share Our Wealth on
February 23, 1934. The speech supported the ideals of socialism by suggesting equal distribution of
wealth throughout the nation. Socialism may have its perks but capitalism is the best path to take since
capitalism provides society with more benefits through economic competition, prosperity, and a moral
system that promotes self interest. After World War I ended on November 11, 1918, American
capitalism started to change, especially when capitalism hit an economic climax during

short, these inconsistencies give credence to the possibility that potential heresthetic considerations in
established member states outweigh the slower economic and political development of Eastern
European states. In theory, binding normative ideas and not individual member states influence EU
integration; however, in practice upholding essential EU norms, such as human rights, is plagued by
double standards in established and new members. The double standards arise from shared practices
that undermine human rights despite EU s formal commitment to protect them. These limitations
hamper Europeanization and proper norm diffusion, so in practice specific broad organizational
objectives of established member states appear to drive the process of EU integration at this time.
Conventional Wisdom about Heresthetics Riker s view of Institutions as a source of heresthetics The
heated domestic debates in established member states on equal membership rights of poorer new
members and applicants from the Balkans exposes gaps in social consensus about new member

opportunities that they should continue to focus would be growth prospects e commerce and strategic
acquisitions. Growth prospects e commerce E commerce has continued to be a business trend and it
continued to grow in 2015. According to the data the Stefany Zaroban got from the U.S. Commerce
Department, the web sales in 2015 totaled $341.7 billion for the year, a 14.6% increase over 2014 s
$298.3 billion (Zaroban, 2016). This reveals that Amazon would continue to have the chance to
increase their sales as well as an increase to bringing in more customers. According to the data that
GlobalData received, U.S. had around 300 million internet users in the year 2014 which was an
increase of 7% over the previous years (GlobalData). These statistics show that with the increase of
online shoppers every year and the definite advance in technology in the future, more people will shop
online than to go to retail stores. Strategic Acquisitions According to Amazon s history and timeline,
they were able to add features to Amazon every year. Like in 2014 of December, they were able to add

Eat it if you can Pronounce It The word Organic can be defined in multiple ways but what the word
basically means that the product is derived from living matter. Organic farming produces organic food.
The goal is to encourage soil and water conservation, reduce pollution, and constrain conventional
methods to fertilize and control weeds. According to the U.S Food and Drug Administration The term
organic is not defined by law or regulations FDA enforces. Foods that are organic does not necessarily
mean that they are healthy. There are organically refined unhealthy foods such as wholesome branded
cane sugar and Applegate branded pork sausages products that are labeled as organic but is obviously
not the healthiest choice. Labeling a food product as organic does not make consumption completely
healthy for infants. Drug Administration Organic produce derives from farming involving growth
without using any type of genetically modified organisms, synthetic fertilizers, sewage, and pesticides.
When meat products are organically refined the animals the meat comes from do not receive any

37. Malware Analysis And Detection Techniques
MALWARE ANALYSIS/DETECTION TECHNIQUES
Sikorski Honig (2012), explain the fact that when carrying out malware analysis and detection, only
the malware executable is present, which is usually not in natural language form. A variety of tools
and techniques need to be employed to ensure that the underlying information is revealed. Two basic
approaches to malware analysis and detection include: static analysis (observing the malware without
running it), and dynamic analysis (running the malware). They can be done either in the basic form or
more advanced ways.
Static Analysis
In the basic form, static analysis involves carefully observing the executable file without looking at
the actual commands or instructions. This is done to ascertain that a file is indeed malicious, give
information about its functions, and occasionally give information that will enable one produce simple
network signatures. This process is straightforward and can be performed quickly, but in most cases, it
is not effective when dealing with sophisticated malware, and may miss significant behaviours. An
example of static analysis is the use of antivirus software such as AVG for malware analysis. Unique
identifiers called hashes can also be used to identify malware in static analysis.
Dynamic Analysis
In the basic form, dynamic analysis techniques involve both running the malware code and examining
its behaviour on the system or network so as to remove the infection, derive effective signatures, or

The term Web 2.0 is widely used to refer to these technologies that reflect substantial changes in the

the ease of creating content for the Web and in the type of content available on the Web. Many of the

40. Pardoner s Tale Values
A societal value is a quality that the majority of a culture agrees on. Societal values are essential to
have a peaceful and coherent community. Both Chaucer and Langland use societal values to build on
the stories they have written. In Chaucer s The Pardoner s Tale, The Wife of Bath s Tale and Langland
s piers plowman we see many societal values and many exceptions to these values.
In Chaucer s The Wife of Bath s Tale, we see that many people believe in the societal value that
marriage is negative. In the setting and time period that The Wife of Baths takes place many people
believe that it is better for a man to stay unmarried because women will only use their lust and
manipulation to take their husbands money and tell secrets about them to everyone in town,

We see this stereotype fulfilled in the wife of baths prologue when the wife explains how she uses her
lust and sex in exchange for material things like money. The Wife of Bath explains how it is important
to make your husband give up everything for your love. Though we mainly see marriage depicted
negatively for the men, the wife of baths explains how she views one of her marriages negatively. She
explains how her final husband mistreated her by making her read stories about how terrible women
were and abusing her physically. Another main societal value we see in The Wife of Bath s Tale is that
women want control of their husbands. We see this throughout the prologue where the wife explains
how she controlled all of her husbands with sex so she could receive riches. We know this is a
principle that the majority of women agree on when the knight tells the queen and all her ladies,
Women desire to have sovereignty as well upon their husband as their love and to have mastery their
man above (Chaucer 1045) and none of the women or the queen object, so they spare the knights

41. Natural Environmental Resources And Indigenous Beliefs And...
This literature review is limited to the following parameters: natural environmental resources and
indigenous beliefs and practices of the Marakwet people. This study shall rely on the following
literature.
Ogunade (2005), in his article, Environmental Issues in Yoruba Religion: Implications for Leadership
and Society in Nigeria writes about the Yoruba people having rituals as a principle tool that is used to
control and approach the unseen world and rearrange the physical world and bring material
transformation change when the physical world is experiencing instability. He writes that This is an
integral part of the reasons why Yoruba people are very careful about their interaction and use of
resources in nature because these corrective rituals are also very expensive (Ibid:2). Just like the
Yoruba people the researcher makes the assumption that the Marakwet people have corrective rituals
that are used in conserving natural environmental resources .Therefore motivation for the study is to
identify the rituals that are used by the Marakwet people in this study area in regard to the
environment conservation.
Tucker and Grim (2000) in their article The Challenge of the Environmental Crisis, Observes how
indigenous beliefs have a strong environment ethics,

43. How My Sex, Gender, And Race Ethnicity Influenced My...
In this self analysis, I look at how my sex, gender, and race ethnicity influenced my concept of family
and traditional gender roles. Education as a minority has forced an awareness on the disproportion of
men and women in STEM majors. Navigating through stereotypes, cultural differences, and
similarities amongst family, peers, and strangers has been an ongoing voyage in my life. The
opportunities my upbringing and culture has afforded and the consequences of chances are critical in
how I balance multiple statuses. Identifying as a double minority has affected my life experiences and
potential career options will also be reflected upon. The master, ascribed status associated with being a
woman has countless affects on my experiences and how it has designed my life. Everything I do is
with the mindset of a woman, whether it is how I dress or how I speak. From the time when I was
young, I was the first female child within my generation. Even at the age of five, I recall countless
times where I had to prove I could hang with the boys. This sort of initiation occurred in countless
ways from doing gross dares to having to show I can take a punch literally. Enduring all this mayhem
only seemed natural because I did not want to be seen or treated differently from the boys. Time
passed and my woman ness became even more prevalent as boys were able to get away with things
that I could not. Close your legs, girls do not play with toy guns, Put down the Gameboy, go play with
