Energy Storage Systems are the Smart home energy systems for the

One system packs enough power to run all household appliances
including your 1.5T Air conditioner for more than 2 hours during a
power cut
Lithium battery pack inside the sophisticated system provides a

ESS VS HOME INVERTER
1. A home inverter is a low efficiency product which only works with Lead Acid batteries
2. These batteries require frequent maintenance in the form of top up and sulphation treatment
3. 3-Year battery life after which it has to be changed.
4. The capacity of the Lead acid battery decreases with each year by 5-10%
5. Cannot be kept inside the room due to fumes emanating out of the system
6. Lead acid has very less round trip efficiency as compared to lithium ion. This means that Lead acid loses a
lot of power between getting charged and discharging, leading to energy losses.
7. Ageing factor in Lead acid batteries, leads to larger capacity while designing , leading to higher CAPEX
costs for the customer
8. For Air Conditioner type applications, very large Battery capacities are required compared to smaller lithium
ion battery packs
