This document describes a bidirectional visitor counter system that counts the number of people entering and leaving a room and displays the total on an LCD screen. It uses an IR sensor to detect movement and an Arduino microcontroller to increment or decrement the counter. When the count is zero, lights and fans automatically turn off to conserve energy. The system was successfully developed and tested, accurately counting visitors and controlling appliances in the room based on occupancy. It provides an effective way to monitor space usage and save electricity.
